Trump Panics as Military Wants Him Sidelined in War
4/19/202621 mincomplete
0:00Donald Trump is panicking on Sunday as his own top military generals are trying to
0:05keep him sidelined to stop escalating this war.
0:10The Jerusalem Post reported this morning that when the military did that extraction mission of
0:16those two F -15E pilots who were downed over Iran, they refused to allow Donald
0:22Trump in the situation room because Donald Trump's behavior was so erratic and so impulsive
0:27that they thought it would result in our troops getting killed.
0:31We're seeing that this morning as well as Donald Trump is once again threatening to
0:35blow up Iranian bridges and infrastructure and other civilian areas if Iran does not accept
0:43Donald Trump's terms. And as our editor -in -chief Ron Filipkowski says, two days after
0:50Donald Trump made 13 celebratory posts in an hour claiming that Iran surrendered to all
0:56of his demands and the war is over to manipulate the market on Friday, he's
1:01back threatening to blow up power plants and bridges.
1:05So after Donald Trump continued with the blockade of the Persian Gulf and continued to
1:11threaten Iran, Iran said that they were not going to even on a limited basis
1:16allow ships to cross through the coordinated route by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps through
1:23the Strait of Hormuz. So the Strait of Hormuz fully closed and then Iran rejected
1:27all of Donald Trump's claims that Iran fully surrendered and they would give up all
1:31of their uranium and allow the United States to control the Strait of Hormuz and
1:36that they would no longer fund their various proxy groups like Hezbollah and the Houthis.
1:40And then so Donald Trump now, as we're approaching this next week, says it's going
1:44to be bridge and what, destroy bridge and destroy hospital and destroy civilian infrastructure day
1:51if Iran doesn't make a deal.
1:53What we're learning is going to be happening in a few days is Steve Whitcoff
1:57and Jared Kushner claim they're going to be going to Pakistan, Islamabad in order to
2:03have another round of negotiations with the Iranians.
2:07They also claim that J .D.
2:09Vance will not be part of this delegation.
2:12J .D. Vance is now being sidelined by Donald Trump, although lots of Trump cabinet
2:17members who went on morning shows this morning claimed J .D.
2:20Vance was going to be showing up with Whitcoff and Kushner, but Trump saying that
2:25J .D. Vance is not going to go for security reasons, which again makes very
2:29little sense. Also, though, the Iranians are saying they're not going to show up to
2:34Islamabad if Donald Trump continues to use this rhetoric and continues the blockade of the
2:40Persian Gulf. So Iran says, we don't know what you're talking about.
2:42We ain't showing up to Islamabad for more talks as long as you keep on
2:47misrepresenting our negotiating position, as long as you don't agree to negotiate within the 10
2:52-point framework you previously agreed to, and as long as the blockade continues.
2:56So here's what Donald Trump posted early this morning.
3:00Let me just read some of it for you.
3:02It's completely deranged. And again, it's more of the threatening the bridges and the infrastructure,
3:07and I'm going to kill you if you don't negotiate with me, which is not
3:11the way to negotiate. We already know these negotiations are going to be a failure
3:14because if it's just Whitcoff and Kushner and Donald Trump uses this rhetoric, it is
3:19impossible to reach any resolution, especially when Donald Trump previously agreed to Iran's 10 -point
3:25framework and no longer says he's going to be abiding by that.
3:28But here's the message this morning.
3:29Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz, a total violation of
3:35our ceasefire agreement! Many of them were aimed at a friendship and a freighter from
3:41the United Kingdom. That wasn't nice, was it?
3:44My representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan.
3:47They will be there tomorrow evening for negotiations.
3:50Iran recently announced they were closing the strait, which is strange because our blockade has
3:56already closed it. They're helping us without even knowing it, and they're the ones that
4:00lose with the closed passage.
4:02$500 million a day. The United States loses nothing.
4:05In fact, many ships are headed right now to the U .S., Texas, Louisiana, and
4:10Alaska to load up compliments of the IRGC.
4:13Always wanting to be the tough guy, we're offering a very fair and reasonable deal,
4:18deals in caps for some reason.
4:20And I hope they take it because if they don't, the United States is going
4:24to knock out every single power plant, every single bridge in Iran.
4:28No more Mr. Nice Guy.
4:30They'll come down fast. They'll come down easy.
4:32And if they don't take the deal, it will be my honor to do what
4:36has to be done, which should have been done to Iran by other presidents for
4:40the last 47 years. It's time for the Iran killing machine to end.
4:45Donald J. Trump. And again, that's not going to result in any successful negotiations at
4:50all. And Donald Trump's bluster and bravado right here is also belied by the fact
4:56that military generals don't even want him in the situation room anymore.
4:59And we see him running around panicking like the loser that he is.
5:03Donald Trump's been calling different media outlets to serve as his stenographer yet again this
5:08morning. He called Jonathan Carl of ABC and he said, basically.
5:11Based on secret service issues, J .D.
5:13Vance is not going to be able to join Whitcoff and Kushner, which is fascinating
5:17because Donald Trump's energy secretary, Chris Wright, was on the morning show saying J .D.
5:23Vance was going to be in this delegation.
5:25These people have zero organization.
5:26They don't know what they're doing.
5:28They're all a bunch of idiots.
5:29And Iran knows that these people in the United States, these Trump cabinet people are
5:33just a bunch of loser idiots who are pathetic people their entire life, who somehow
5:37got into power. Watch Chris Wright over here.
5:40The energy secretary play this clip.
5:41We'll get back there for sure.
5:43Who's leading the delegation to Islamabad tomorrow?
5:45Do we know? The vice president's been leading the negotiations from the start.
5:49Okay. President Trump previously said with Iran there were very good conversations going on.
5:55But the top Iranian negotiator told State TV in Iran that the two sides are
5:59still far from a final agreement.
6:02You think that there will be, you're optimistic there will be a deal sometime this
6:05week or next? Yeah, I think you'll see a deal in the near future.
6:08I don't know the exact time frame, but we'll see a deal in the near
6:11future. Remember. Literally at the same time that was happening, here's what was going on
6:16on ABC. As Donald Trump told ABC that J .D.
6:19Vance would not be attending.
6:20Here play this clip. And an important clarification, I just got off the phone with
6:25President Trump yet again. He told me that Vice President Vance will not be leading
6:30the U .S. delegation to Islamabad.
6:32He said it's because of security.
6:34The Secret Service did not feel comfortable having the vice president go to Pakistan on
6:3924 hours notice. He's added J .D.
6:42is great. Meanwhile, Iran's like, we ain't attending.
6:45We're not going as long as you continue to threaten us this way.
6:49That's not how we negotiate.
6:50So no, Iran says they're not sending its negotiators while this blockade of the Persian
6:54Gulf remains in place. Also, Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson just posted the following message.
7:01The United States so -called blockade of Iran's ports or coastline is not only a
7:05violation of Pakistan's mediated ceasefire, but it's also both unlawful and criminal.
7:12Moreover, by deliberately inflicting collective punishment on the Iranian population, it amounts to war crimes
7:18and crimes against humanity. The Iranian embassy social media accounts continue to post Donald Trump
7:24is a war criminal on their accounts today.
7:27Similarly, Iran's president, Pazeshkin, said that Donald Trump has no justification to deprive Iran of
7:33its nuclear rights. Just 48 hours ago, Donald Trump was saying that Iran agreed to
7:38give up uranium enrichment and all nuclear dust.
7:40Donald Trump lies about everything.
7:42Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander General Saeed Mousavi says that during the pause in hostilities,
7:49our speed in upgrading and refilling missiles and drone launch platforms is even higher than
7:54before the war. We have information that the enemy, referring to the United States and
7:58Israel in this context, is unable to create such conditions for itself and is forced
8:04to bring in munitions drip by drip from the other side of the world.
8:08The United States is taking away weapons that it promised to Asia, weapons that it
8:12promised to Ukraine, while it lifts sanctions against Russian oil.
8:18It should also be noted that New York Times was reporting that Iran pretty much
8:23has most of its ballistic missiles.
8:25I mean, it has, you know, 40 to 50 % of its ballistic missiles, 40
8:28to 50 % of its ballistic missile launchers, 40 to 50 % of its drones.
8:32It has these underground cities that have not been struck by the United States that
8:36have all of these weapons.
8:38And I think that they are way more prepared than Donald Trump thinks.
8:43This is the moment on Fox where they talked about Donald Trump's plan.
8:46Let's play it. I just spoke with President Trump for about 20 minutes and he
8:50told me if Iran does not sign this deal, the whole country is getting blown
8:55up. He went on to say that bridges and power plants will be targeted if
9:00Iran does not sign this agreement.
9:02The president telling me that U .S.
9:04Special Envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are heading to Islamabad, Pakistan for meetings on
9:10Tuesday, possibly into Wednesday, to try and get this agreement across the finish line.
9:15The president telling Fox News, this is a very simple deal, but this is the
9:20last chance for the Iranians.
9:22The president, very clear in our conversation that he is not making the same mistake
9:26that President Obama made, giving cash to the Iranians and allowing them to continue a
9:31nuclear program. The deal on the table is to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to
9:36ensure that the Iranians do not have this highly enriched uranium that is buried deep
9:41underground after Operation Midnight Hammer last summer.
9:45And again, the president telling Fox News that the entire country will be blown up,
9:50bridges and power plants will be targeted if the Iranians do not sign this agreement.
9:55So then Trump cabinet officials were going on the various shows this morning, the various
9:59morning shows. You had Trump's ambassador to the United Nations, who's supposed to be a
10:04United Nations diplomatic guy, who's supposed to talk about making peace.
10:08He starts to talk about how we'll go up the escalation ladder and we're going
10:12to blow them up. We're going to blow them to smithereens, the Iranians.
10:16We're going to blow them all up.
10:17It's totally justified. No, it's not.
10:19It's genocide. It's a war crime.
10:20You war criminals. Here, play this clip.
10:22Engagement, civil, any type of infrastructure that is being commingled, that is being used to
10:29move military hardware is absolutely a legitimate target, as are power plants, the grid, and
10:37other things that are being used to pass.
10:39power Iran's war economy, which, oh, by the way, the IRGC controls an estimated 40
10:45to 50 percent of. So the president will move up an escalation ladder responsibly as
10:53our amazing military will follow those orders with him as a commander in chief until
10:58Iran comes to the table and really lives up to a responsible deal that the
11:05vice president has put on the table.
11:06It cannot and will not ever have a nuclear weapon.
11:09More from Mike Waltz over here on Trump's latest threat to blow up Iran's civilian
11:13infrastructure. Let's play it. Everything, absolutely everything's on the table and the president's made it
11:18very clear. He is prepared to escalate, to deescalate this conflict as he should be.
11:24But I just want to I just want to get ahead of this other ridiculous
11:27and frankly, irresponsible narrative that that this would somehow constitute a, quote, war crime that
11:34we've heard from Democratic politicians, the media and others in the international community.
11:39That is wrong. It's irresponsible.
11:42And we have a long history of taking down bridges, power plants and other infrastructure
11:48that is powering Iran's military.
11:51And they have a long history of conflating civilian and military assets.
11:58More for Walls right here when he's asked by Kristen Welker, aren't you rewarding Russia
12:02by removing the sanctions against them and keeping the sanctions removed?
12:07Like, why are you helping Russia?
12:08Here, play this clip. Same time, but why is the U .S.
12:11rewarding Russia? That's ridiculous. At the same time, I'm sorry.
12:15Why is the U .S.
12:17rewarding Russia by extending these sanction waivers until May?
12:23Russia's working with Iran. Yeah, that's oil, Kristen.
12:27That's oil that was going to market.
12:30And now, rather than just going to China, it can go to some of our
12:34other allies and partners, number one.
12:36But number two, what has Russia lost?
12:39Russia has lost one of its military partners in terms of its biggest drone provider,
12:45Iran, whose military industrial complex has been absolutely devastated.
12:51And it should also be noted, while the United States continues to remove sanctions from
12:56Russian oil and reward it because Donald Trump is a Putin bootlicker, Russia continues to
13:02kill Ukrainians each and every day as Ukraine fights valiantly for its survival and pushes
13:08back against this unlawful invasion by Russia.
13:11Just last night, Russian attacks killed two Ukrainians.
13:16But if you were watching or reading right -wing media, you would have no clue
13:20that this was taking place.
13:22It's why it's important to have a media diet that focuses on objective facts because
13:28people get very skewed understandings of what's going on in the world if you don't
13:33actually focus on the facts.
13:35Why we focus on the facts here on the Midas Touch Network.
13:37By the way, it's why I get my news from Ground News.
13:41And it's why I partner with Ground News for this episode and the videos that
13:46I make at the Midas Touch Network because they're the best tool for me to
13:51stay objective with my reporting.
13:53Ground News is an app and a website that pulls in thousands of articles from
13:57around the world, like the one I just showed you about Russians killing at least
14:01two Ukrainians last night. And they organize the articles from around the world by story
14:07to show you what's being reported on the left, what's being reported in the center,
14:11what's being reported on the right, and how are they framing the stories differently.
14:15For every story, the color -coded layout makes it easy to see the political bias
14:20of each source. So I can filter for high -factuality sources and see which sources
14:25are independently owned or owned by a large media conglomerate with corporate interests.
14:30This lets you compare reporting on the same issue in one place so you can
14:33come to your own conclusions based on all of the facts.
14:37On this article, for example, Ground News is showing that no or very small amounts
14:41of right -wing media are reporting on the Russians killing Ukrainians.
14:45And I think that if you were just getting your news from right -wing media,
14:49you wouldn't really understand what is going on.
14:52You wouldn't understand the story completely or maybe even a little bit at all, which
14:55is why Ground News has a dedicated blind spot feed, a personal favorite of mine,
15:00which highlights stories being disproportionately covered on either side of the political aisle to help
15:05you burst through political echo chambers.
15:08Because I believe in Ground News so much, we're offering 40 % off the same
15:12Vantage plan that I use for my research.
15:15Just go click the link in the description or go to ground .news slash MTN
15:21or scan the QR code up here.
15:23It's one of the biggest discounts they've ever offered.
15:26If you want to support the channel and get a clearer understanding of the world,
15:30try out Ground News. Go to ground .news slash MTN or scan the QR code
15:35up here. And we're offering that 40 % off that Vantage plan that I'm using.
15:39And then finally, Mike Walls in Trump's war says that we're actually doing a lot
15:43of countries a favor here.
15:44I mean, these guys are such sociopaths.
15:46Play this clip. At the end of the day, the Iranians are not going to
15:51decide economic winners and losers.
15:54But this is really a favor to the world in many ways, because what we're
15:58doing in ensuring that it stays open is ensuring that the economies of Asia and
16:04Europe and elsewhere are. maintain their supplies and are active.
16:09And by the way, there's a humanitarian component here.
16:12He also called Operation Epstein Fury.
16:14I mean, Operation Economic Fury.
16:17I mean, Operation Epic Fury, Economic Fury.
16:19Here, play this clip. I think he got a little confused here.
16:22Here, play this clip. So he's taken a number of actions in this in this
16:27Operation Economic Fury that is going to have incredible results in turn.
16:33Then we heard more from Chris Wright, who said, yeah, Donald Trump threatening to blow
16:37up civilizations. That's creative negotiation.
16:40Play this clip. About the people, because I know that's been part of the conversation
16:43from the administration is wanting to help the Iranian people themselves.
16:46The leadership, obviously, a different story.
16:48But when the president talks about blowing up every power plant, every bridge, how does
16:53that complicate things for if the people do have an opportunity to rebuild there and
16:57how far it sets back some kind of recovery for the country?
17:00Look, the president is using every way he can to get leverage over the regime
17:05to bring this conflict to an end.
17:08He's a creative negotiator. He uses pressure in different ways.
17:11He uses uncertainty in different ways.
17:13And I think, as you've seen over the last 16 months, it generally leads to
17:17good results. I don't think we'll see any surprises here.
17:19I think we'll have a nice end of this conflict and have the Middle East
17:23finally not have a constant terror, a constant risk over the regimes in the area,
17:31the economies in the area, and ultimately the flow of goods through the Straits of
17:35Hormuz. Imagine a nuclear armed Iran not far away from that reality.
17:40This is going to put an end to it.
17:41So how would you consider, what would you?
17:44More from Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who admits that it's not safe to go through
17:48the Strait of Hormuz and it's not really open.
17:50Let's play this clip. So just to be clear, it's not safe right now to
17:54go through the Strait of Hormuz, correct?
17:56That is correct. Okay. The president said, well, let me just follow up on that.
18:01When will it be? I think after a deal is reached.
18:04After a deal is reached.
18:05It won't be in the too distant future.
18:07People are ready to go.
18:08Ships are there. The United States put through two warships through the Straits.
18:12We can open it one way or the other.
18:14And here's what Elise Stefanik had to say this morning, one of the Trump MAGA
18:18sycophants in Congress when she was asked by Jake Tapper, who actually had a good
18:23line of questioning here about, isn't it genocide when Donald Trump says he's going to
18:27blow up a civilization? Isn't that a threat of genocide here?
18:30Play this clip. He said the entire civilization.
18:33And it's very important to note that the, I'm talking, he was focused on the
18:37Iranian terrorist regime and Jake, isn't it true that it brought the Iranians to the
18:40table to a ceasefire agreement?
18:43That is, it did because they had a ceasefire agreement going on for days.
18:47And president Trump is correct to call out the Iranian terrorist regime, which has financed
18:53Hamas and Hezbollah, which I believe has led to some of the financing of these,
18:57this guy. Let's talk about what they're also saying in Iran.
19:00Professor Mirandi, who travels with the negotiating team in Iran writes, Iran is not worried
19:05about renewed aggression from the Trump and Netanyahu regimes.
19:08This time the Islamic Republic will be more decisive and it will make sure that
19:12the Trump and Netanyahu regimes and their U S proxies in the Persian Gulf pay
19:16much greater price. The Epstein coalition is planning an even more destructive war.
19:21Iran will strike back very hard, but since Arab family dictatorships in the Persian Gulf
19:25are fully complicit, this time Iran will hit back much faster and much harder.
19:29They are finished. So that's where we are.
