2:12Welcome back in. Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show.

2:16Okay, let's dive into this a little bit.

2:22We got a couple of different takes.

2:25I can't not play this right now.

2:28Now, Ketanji Brown -Jackson, Buck, is Joe Biden's final curse on the United States.

2:36We talked about yesterday when Joe Biden said, I will only put a black woman

2:41on the Supreme Court. I believe, team, look this up and make sure that I'm

2:46right. I think 2 % or 3 % of lawyers are black women in the

2:52entire country. So, in one fell swoop, Joe Biden said, I'm not going to consider

2:5897 % or 98 % of all lawyers in America for the Supreme Court.

3:05And, as a result, we now have Ketanji Brown -Jackson.

3:10And, Buck, it feels like every single oral argument, there is another viral, I can't

3:19believe this is real, Ketanji Brown -Jackson clip.

3:22And I tweeted this yesterday, and I said, we only have about 30 more years

3:28of this. But it is the truth that the most consequential decision from a personnel

3:33perspective that almost any president will make is who he puts on the Supreme Court.

3:39And Ketanji Brown -Jackson, I believe, is 56 years old.

3:43So, if we think that she's going to serve for another 25 or 30 years,

3:47we're going to have to prepare ourselves for more and more of this.

3:50And this was the question that she asked, having to do with yesterday's hearing on

3:58birthright citizenship. I want you guys to listen.

4:01She compares it to stealing a wallet in Japan.

4:04I was thinking about this, and I think there are various sources that say this.

4:09That you can have, you obviously have permanent allegiance based on being born in whatever

4:14country you're from. That's what everybody recognizes.

4:17But you also have local allegiance when you are on the soil of this other

4:23sovereign. And I was thinking, you know, I'm a U .S.

4:27citizen and visiting Japan. And what it means is that, you know, if I steal

4:32someone's wallet in Japan, the Japanese authorities can arrest me and prosecute me.

4:38It's allegiance meaning can they control you as a matter of law.

4:43I can also rely on them if my wallet is stolen to, you know, under

4:48Japanese law, go and prosecute the person who has stolen it.

4:52So, there's this relationship based on, even though I'm a temporary traveler, I'm just on

4:58vacation in Japan, I'm still locally owing allegiance.

5:04This is, look, lawyers often think based on analogy, Buck, because it is an important

5:10part of the law to subtly alter fact patterns and consider how the implications of

5:15your decisions might apply in situations that have not yet arisen.

5:19That's an important part of the legal process.

5:22This is so moronic. This is so moronic.

5:24everyone is subject to the law of the jurisdiction that they are physically present in.

5:30This is not a complicated, I'm sorry, this is just not a complicated issue.

5:37So the fact that she is somehow analogizing birthright citizenship with committing a crime in

5:42a foreign country and not recognizing that this is just absolutely preposterous is just a

5:51sign that she doesn't grasp intellectually the heft of the decisions or even is able

5:58to grapple with them, Buck, in a significant, intelligent way, as lawyers should be able

6:03to do. And in that sense, she's actually the perfect Democrat Supreme Court justice because

6:08it doesn't matter. She doesn't even have the ability.

6:12You know, Kagan can sit there, think it through, figure it out.

6:17Sotomayor a little bit more, I think, than Ketanji Brown -Jackson.

6:20Not really. I mean, Sotomayor is pretty dumb, just, you know, for a lawyer.

6:24Not dumb for a person, but for a lawyer, not somebody that should.

6:27For a Supreme Court justice.

6:29That's the point. For a Supreme Court justice.

6:31These are supposed to be the most brilliant legal minds in our nation of 360

6:37million people. The most brilliant legal minds.

6:41That is what we are supposed to be getting.

6:45Ketanji Brown -Jackson, look, if somebody wants to prove me wrong, I don't think she

6:48had the LSAT score, if she wasn't a black female applying under the affirmative action

6:51regime, to get into whatever state school, state law school she was from.

6:55I'm just telling you, I don't believe it.

6:57I don't think she had the ability.

6:59And this was a real thing.

7:01The Supreme Court had to take this up.

7:03There was a whole regime for decades of, yeah, you actually have, like, two standard

7:09deviations, lower scores for the LSAT than your peer group that's going to be in

7:13this class, but we're going to let you in because of superficial characteristics and the

7:18history of discrimination or whatever.

7:19That's reality. That's reality. And this is now, because what's her whole justification for being

7:25in the Supreme Court? She went to Harvard Law School.

7:27Okay. Where's the ability that we were supposed to see that got her into Harvard

7:31Law School? They used to demand that presidential candidates, remember this, under the Bush -Carrie

7:36regime, or Bush -Carrie administration, rather?

7:39That would be fun if they were president, vice president.

7:43Show us your SAT scores.

7:44That was the big hit that the Democrats put on George Bush until they found

7:48out that, I think he, who had higher SATs, guys, Bush or Kerry?

7:52It was very close. And their grades at Yale, Bush had better grades.

7:56So their whole thing was Bush is so dumb.

7:59By the way, not even that your grades at Yale necessarily makes you smart or

8:02dumb, but your ability as a lawyer, this is why it matters, by the way,

8:05also true of doctors, LSAT score, MCAT score corresponds very highly with your actual success

8:15and ability at the peak of that profession.

8:18It's just the truth. It's just the reality of it.

8:22I have no business being on the Supreme Court.

8:25I would be an innocent of you.

8:28I would be an infinitely better Supreme Court justice than Ketanji Brown -Jackson.

8:33And some of this, Buck, I'm just insulted by.

8:35You mentioned Sotomayor. You and I work a lot to be prepped, to read, to

8:41be ready to talk to everybody out there in this audience every day.

8:45It's a privilege to do this, and I think we have a responsibility to be

8:50well -informed, because many of you are busy, and your job is not to know

8:53everything under the sun about the news, right?

8:56So I work really hard.

8:57You work really hard. We read a lot.

8:59We're constantly working. I'm insulted.

9:02I'm insulted as a citizen when there are nine Supreme Court justices.

9:08That job is unbelievably transcendent for a lawyer to be able to have, and they

9:15won't do the bare minimum of work, even though they have completely elite staffs, Buck,

9:23that are often drafting their opinions, that are putting everything in front of them and

9:28saying, just read this. But they've never had to.

9:32This is the point. She's never had to do the work, Clay.

9:35She's always been told, you're brilliant.

9:38You're the greatest. Same with Sotomayor.

9:41You're brilliant. You're the greatest.

9:43The whole system has propped up this cohort of people at the most elite levels

9:48of their profession. And I want to be very clear.

9:50A lot of people get very low SATs and have a lot of different kinds

9:54of smarts and creativity and go on to have incredibly productive and brilliant lives.

9:58This is not a knock on people that didn't do great on standardized tests or

10:01SATs. In law, at the very highest level of understanding the complexities of law, it's

10:07like, hey, when I'm telling you you're going to have a brain surgeon, I'm not

10:11saying who's going to sell you a car or who's going to start a really

10:15elite HVAC business in your town that's going to make him a millionaire, all things

10:19you can do with that highest.

10:20If I tell you, Clay, you're going to have a brain surgeon, but his MCAT

10:24score was in the 10th percentile, how do you feel about that?

10:29Not good. If you tell me that the guy who's fixing my HVAC is great,

10:33everybody thinks he does a phenomenal job, but he got a 900 total SAT, I'm

10:38like, well, he's great at HVAC.

10:39I don't care. He's a businessman.

10:41But there are some things where it actually matters, and the Supreme Court is one

10:46where it matters, and there is a whole generation where all the law schools were

10:50doing this and everything else, and we just...

10:52We just... We just... So I plan Obama was the president of Harvard Law Review,

10:55never actually wrote anything for Harvard Law Review.

10:58Just they made him the president of it because, oh, he's Obama.

11:02I mean, they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize because he became president.

11:06This the whole DEI regime, we're going to be dealing with this for a long

11:10time. But people are you have to be able to be honest.

11:14By the way, if I'm wrong, if Katanji Brown Jackson got like a what's really

11:17like a 170 or something on the LSAT, which is super elite.

11:20I apologize and she should let that out there and everybody can know.

11:24OK, but by the way, it still wouldn't change the fact that she's not preparing.

11:28Yeah. Right. I mean, if that's the insult to me, because, you know, remember when

11:33Sotomayor said, I don't even remember what the number was, but they were debating whether

11:37you should be mandated to get the covid shot.

11:39And she said something like there were 100.

11:41I think she said like there was 100000 kids hospitalized right now with covid.

11:46And you just looked at it and you said you haven't done the bare minimum

11:52of prep. You're ignorant. Yeah.

11:54And it's a willfulness to not do the work.

11:57And so when she's making an analogy like that, this is supremely important decision, as

12:02most are, that reach the Supreme Court.

12:04It's complicated. A lot of brilliant lawyers have argued other sides to get to the

12:10point where we say, hey, we got to have the nine final arbiters of what

12:15the law is. Look at this.

12:18And, you know, Katanji Brown Jackson this same week was the lone dissent in the

12:23eight to one decision over whether you can try to have conversion therapy.

12:28So called in Colorado. She is just a left wing blue sky poster who Joe

12:35Biden put on the Supreme Court.

12:37And for the next 30 years, you can even see the frustration coming from Elena

12:41Kagan and even from Sotomayor.

12:44Certainly, we talked about Amy Coney Barrett, who is maybe the kindest sounding.

12:49You know, I listened to her and I was like, she sounds like somebody who

12:52puts you to sleep reading a book with her voice.

12:55And she took a two by four tour.

12:58I mean, I'll just tell you this.

12:59I looked this up. I was curious.

13:01The the the average difference.

13:03You can find this stuff online now, again, because this has all come out.

13:06This used to be forbidden to talk about.

13:08Like you couldn't discuss this if you're at college.

13:10Everyone yell at you and shout.

13:11This is just facts. This is reality.

13:13And it was a policy of racial discrimination that these universities did engage in for

13:17decades and still try to engage in.

13:20But now they know that it's unconstitutional.

13:22They're not allowed to do this.

13:23So they can't shout you down because you're saying, hey, you're breaking the law.

13:27That doesn't really work anymore.

13:28The difference, Clay, for Harvard students between the average the average black student, the average

13:34white student at Harvard on the LSAT is at least 10 points difference.

13:41To understand this, that's the difference between being in the 98th percentile or the 70th

13:47percentile. So it is a huge, huge, huge differential on that test.

13:53Enormous. 98th percentile versus 70th.

13:56Yeah, the bell curve on this gets really altered in a hurry.

14:01I think the numbers were when I did it, Buck, if you get a 160

14:04or above, you're in the 85th percentile.

14:08So if you're talking about a 10 percentile drop, like the 10 points on the

14:14LSAT. Yeah, yeah, right. But the 160s and the 170s, it's not, you know, people

14:18look at that and they hear, oh, you know, she got a 148 or a

14:22150. And they think, OK, well, that doesn't sound that much different.

14:26The difference between a 150 and a 160 is like 30 percentile points.

14:30Yes. I mean, so you're talking about sub 50 percentile for some of these.

14:37It's really staggering. And again, if she were doing the work and I was hearing

14:42these questions and I thought to myself, OK, she's actually putting in the time.

14:48It's just an embarrassment that she's on the court.

14:50And frankly, I think it's unconstitutional because by Supreme Court presidents, you can't do what

14:56Joe Biden did to put her on the court.

14:59You can't say I'm only going to consider black women for a job anywhere.

15:04That would be a flagrant violations of civil rights law nationwide.

15:09So why is it allowed for the Supreme Court for Joe Biden to have come

15:13out and say, I'm only going to put a black woman on?

15:16And again, the team looked it up.

15:17That eliminates 97 or 98 percent of lawyers nationwide.

15:23So you're immediately saying, I'm only picking in the two to three percent of the

15:29population pool. What are the odds that when you say that about anything, you get

15:34the best person for any job?

15:36If you immediately on its face say, I'm only considering that not just imagine, take

15:41it outside of race. If you said, I'm only considering people for the Supreme Court

15:45who are five foot or shorter, I think a lot of people would say, well,

15:49that doesn't seem like a good idea.

15:50Right. Or six, eight or taller, whatever the math is.

15:54You know, on the other side of this, I would just argue, I think Justice

15:56Clarence Thomas, a black man, which you will somehow like never really hear.

16:01You'll never really hear about him in the Democrat media.

16:04Justice Clarence Thomas is, I think, arguably one of the giants of the court of

16:09all time, I think, has a tremendous legal insight, wisdom and knowledge and proves whether

16:16you agree with him or not all the time with what comes down under his.

16:20aim that he deserves to be there so you know it's just a question of

16:24do you want you want you want people that can handle this stuff or not

16:28justice thomas can handle the legal reasoning is a brilliant guy knows a hell of

16:33a lot more about this stuff than me or clay or a lot of the

16:35people out there listening who are actually lawyers ketangia brown jackson i think i know

16:40more about the law than she does i'm being honest with you i think we

16:43could sit around and get into this without her staff there i'd be like give

16:46me a month to study i think i'd probably i think i'd probably be i

16:50said i have no business being on the supreme court i'm licensed in two different

16:53jurisdictions i've been a lawyer now licensed for what 22 years i think i would

16:58be infinitely better than her and i should not ever be infinitely better as a

17:03supreme court justice than anyone when there's only nine of them and they're at the

17:06absolute apex of the legal profession by the way i was right sotomayor during those

17:12debates said over a hundred thousand kids were currently hospitalized with covid i think the

17:17number was like 120 i mean that is unacceptable and by the way not from

17:23covid but with they were in the hospital for other things as we know and

17:26they happen to have a cold alongside it because that's what it was for kids

22:18we've got the confirmation of news that was leading the program, which is there's a

22:23shake -up in D .C.

22:25Pam Bondi is out as Attorney General.

22:28I would reiterate where it's in the first hour.

22:31I think Pam Bondi is from everything that I've seen.

22:35I actually don't know her.

22:36Did we interview her here on the show?

22:37I don't think we did.

22:38I think she's one of the few we've never had on.

22:41I feel like maybe when she was Florida AG.

22:43Clay I interviewed her years ago, but I can't even remember now.

22:45We do a lot of interviews.

22:47But she's a good woman.

22:49She's a patriot. She loves his country.

22:52I think she served honorably.

22:54I think that's true. I think she made some mistakes and Trump decided it's time

22:58for a change -up. Just because you take one player out of the game and

23:02you take somebody off the bench and put them in, it's not that the person

23:05that's on the bench is a bad person or a bad player even.

23:08It's just not right for that moment.

23:11So I think that Pam Bondi should, generally speaking, I know there are some criticisms,

23:17but generally speaking, should be thanked for her service and I know Trump will do

23:20so. There's no animus here.

23:22This is just a change -up and everybody should feel like when serving at the

23:25pleasure of the president means this, that sometimes we've got to change things up even

23:30if you're doing your best.

23:31Your best isn't necessarily good enough for the moment and that's okay as long as

23:38somebody else steps in who can get it done.

24:01Trump's panicking. Joe Biden, the Biden administration, whoever is running it, didn't remove one cabinet

24:07member in four years. Trump is giving Democrats skins, scalps, that he does not need

24:13to do. 2 .0 is imploding, guys.

24:21Second of all, I couldn't disagree with you more.

24:24I don't think that Trump is giving the Democrats scalps.

24:26I think that, if anything, Clay, in this case, it's Trump voters.

24:31It's MAGA who feel very annoyed about what happened with Pam Bondi.

24:35I don't think, there's there's not some Democrat clamoring that Trump is bending the knee

24:40to here. It's a lot of people who listen to this show who were very

24:45bothered by the way the whole Epstein files thing was handled.

24:49And also, I'll just put it to everyone this way.

24:52What's the big win from the what's the big win from the DOJ in the

24:56last year? What's the big thing?

24:58We got big win at the border with Border Patrol.

25:02But what's the big win that they they've racked up?

25:04I mean, you could say, oh, well, law enforcement, that's really more FBI.

25:08The law enforcement agents helping out in places like Memphis and D .C.

25:12Yeah, there's DOJ, of course, and DOJ is part of FBI.

25:15But that's Akash Patel, first and foremost, and our friend Dan Bongino when he was

25:20in that deputy role, Clay.

25:21I mean, how do you see this?

25:23I don't view this as bending the knee to the left at all.

25:26I think this is Trump just saying we've got to be a lean, mean machine.

25:29We appreciate her, but we're changing it up.

25:31Yeah, I don't even think this is something that makes Democrats happy at all.

25:37I think that's a poor take from the listener there.

25:40I think Trump has looked at Chrissy Noem and looked at Pam Bondi, and I

25:47actually think he has made the decision that if he's going to change anything, then

25:53he needs to do it, like we said in the first hour, right now, because

25:56you have to get Senate confirmation for the new Attorney General, whomever it is.

26:01There are reports that it might be Lee Zeldin, and look, we try to be

26:07as honest as we can, and we said this in the first hour.

26:10Pam Bondi's bringing in those influencers and giving them the Epstein binders and then saying,

26:18I have the Epstein files on my desk as we're speaking right now.

26:22Maybe we can go grab that clip that was on Fox News, if I remember

26:26correctly, were the biggest unforced errors of the first year and a half of Trump

26:322 .0. That's just the reality.

26:34Now, I don't know what's going on behind scenes now that Trump is saying, hey,

26:39I'm ready for a new Attorney General, but I'm not surprised that she's on her

26:44way out, and I don't think this is some sort of scalp that Democrats would

26:49be happy with. Democrats, I don't even think have come after Pam Bondi that hard,

26:55relatively speaking. Pete Hegseth? Oh, they've come after him with everything they've had for two

27:00straight years. That's who they want.

27:01That would be bending the knee.

27:03I agree with you. There are people in this administration that if they got shoved

27:07out, whether it was true or not, it would look like this was the pressure

27:11of Trump opponents being conceded to.

27:14I don't see that at all.

27:16honestly and i don't mean this as a slight to pam bondy i think smart

27:19democrats are like yeah keep her there keep her there because she's not because she

27:23hasn't been that effective and again i have nothing you know she's i think she

27:27tried i think she's a good person i appreciate her service to the country i

27:31just don't think you look at clay you're going to put her up with with

27:34rubio and besan and we got people that are hitting on all cylinders we do

27:38not have time to waste we do not have learning on the job time here

27:42and and i think that trump sees that and he's making the right move again

27:56trump in the oval office on wednesday night ahead of his speech on iran where

28:01she was reportedly informed of her ousting sources said this is fox news reporting the

28:07president is reportedly considering replacing bondi with epa administrator lee zeldin sources added now first

28:15hour i mentioned two two names maybe lee zeldin trump already knows exactly where he's

28:20going to go we likely we've had him on the show a lot yep uh

28:22over the years for those of you maybe not familiar with him former congressman for

28:26new york ran a great campaign trying to flip new york uh in the 2022

28:32election cycle current epa administrator okay if he were going to go outside i'll give

28:38one in the senate ted cruz uh when you say okay clay why do you

28:43name a senator it would need to be a red state senator you would need

28:47to trust the governor who would name a replacement and that would mean that much

28:51like mark wayne mullen confirmation typically is very easy when someone is in the united

28:57states senate and they are elevated to the uh attorney general's office so if he

29:02were looking outside of his administration now i think ted cruz in the senate maybe

29:07even mike lee um senator from uh from utah both from red states would do

29:11great jobs and then the one outside buck we mentioned this earlier if i were

29:15picking a governor if i were picking somebody from outside the administration ron desantis would

29:19be a dominant attorney general uh home run pick those are my outside put uh

29:23i would put into the mix on all of that first of all i think

29:28ron wants to finish the problem is people like what they're doing right in some

29:31case right the problem is you know ted likes being a senator and i you

29:36know i think he likes representing the state of texas um and i i think

29:40ron wants to finish out his term as governor to be a governor for for

29:45all time he's one of the all -time greats he's a he's a goat governor

29:49uh as in greatest of all time for the state of florida transform this place

29:53and florida so many floridians i put myself in this category are truly grateful to

29:57him and his team and ag uthmeyer and and just everyone who has really made

30:03florida in such a short period of time this incredible state um and a place

30:08where so many people want to come live the biggest problem now is everyone wants

30:10to live here so housing prices have skyrocketed because you know supply and demand still

30:13exists clay here's one though harmeet dylan harm i bet she's i bet she's in

30:19the conversation yeah super smart already inside the department of justice so i mean that

30:24would be but i'm just saying that elevating todd blanche but yeah i don't think

30:27that's a crazy uh idea either um you know that would be somebody who from

30:32the from the inside internally i think would do a a very good job no

30:37already knows the ropes already knows everything i don't really have a read on todd

30:41blanche um so i can't i don't know do you do you have much of

30:45a read on todd i know he's the interim but sometimes the interim just sort

30:49of stays on that's not my guess is that's not going to happen but do

30:52you do we have a what's your take on todd do you have i mean

30:55i think he's super smart trump likes him he's been his you know personal lawyer

30:58in the past um so there has been report there have been reports that bondi

31:05and blanche worked well together and again i'm not uh obviously i'm not inside the

31:10department of justice not like i cover um or know either of these very well

31:14um i think he probably is not going to elevate the deputy and leave him

31:19there if he did he would have to get senate confirmation as well one thing

31:22that i do think is significant there are reports that she's already flown back to

31:25florida pam bondi uh after being removed last night also buck um this was suzy

31:33wiles's pick for attorney general suzy wiles chief of staff she said hey you can

31:39trust former florida attorney general um pam bondi to come in and and help here

31:46buck let me give you a crazy uh scenario since we can sometimes again reports

31:51are it's going to be lee zelden we'll see whether those end up being accurate

31:54what if trump elevated ted cruz who's already in the senate to attorney general and

32:02then to solve the controversy that is currently in at play in the senate in

32:07texas where you have ken paxton and john cornyn throwing haymakers at each other what

32:12if the uh current governor greg abbott of texas put ken paxton in the senate

32:20senate to serve out the remainder of ted cruz's term and end the battle over

32:27both of those guys competing in the senate primary right now i'm just saying sometimes

32:33ted cruz is not going to be attorney general you know why ted cruz is

32:37going to run for president he is going to run for president but he may

32:41decide that being attorney general is a Better platform to run for president from than

32:46Senate. You think so? I mean, look at the data historically.

32:49Think about the data historically.

32:51There aren't very many senators.

32:53Barack Obama obviously was one that end up winning.

32:57And Joe Biden, I know, was in the Senate for a long time.

33:00But historically, prior to. That's a couple recent ones, Clay.

33:04I think I'm correct on this.

33:06Historically, prior to Biden, the last senator to be elected president was John F.

33:12Kennedy Jr. So we went 60 years and we've had one senator, one sitting United

33:19States senator elected as president.

33:21Biden wasn't obviously a sitting senator when he was elected.

33:25Republicans tend to want governors and Democrats tend to elevate.

33:28Now, remember, John Kerry obviously was very close to being president, shockingly close to being

33:34president. So that would be somebody else that was up there.

33:37Kamala Harris. I know she was VP, but, you know, she's really someone from the,

33:43you know. But isn't that kind of a crazy stat?

33:46Since John F. Kennedy in 1960, Barack Obama is the only sitting United States senator

33:52to be elected president. I believe I'm correct in that.

33:56That's kind of. Who was the last attorney general to be president?

34:02But don't RFK Jr., if he hadn't gotten shot, maybe that doesn't that doesn't count

34:06or sorry. RFK senior. Yeah, we I think are going to have RFK Jr.

34:13still alive on the show next week.

34:15According to producer Ali, he would have been he would have been the nominee.

34:20Right. He was the former attorney general under his brother.

34:23Yeah, well, I just I think that I think that it's and I don't believe

34:26I'm speaking out of school here.

34:27I'm just observing this. I think Senator Cruz is great.

34:32You know, him and Trump are great.

34:34Total, total simpatico there. I don't think Cruz wants to be inside the the broader

34:40chicken coop of of MAGA right now.

34:43I think he's got some.

34:45All of that. All of that is a very fair assessment.

34:48Cruz is going to run for president and he's going to run from outside of

34:52the administration. And we'll see what ends up happening with J .D.

34:55Vance and Marco Rubio. But I'm just trying to think through ways that could help

35:00preserve the Senate majority and save a lot of money that's otherwise going to be

35:05spent. I'm just trying to think through, you know, if you were going to elevate

35:09in the United States Senate, what you get an easy confirmation.

35:12If you want somebody who is going to be in the office quickly, just like

35:17what happened with Mark Wayne Mullen.

35:19And, you know, if you have a red state governor, you don't have to worry

35:22about losing a Senate seat.

35:24Or, for instance, there's nothing we would ever do to Susan Collins.

35:27She's never going to be in the cabinet because she would be replaced by a

35:30by a Democrat. So it'll be interesting.

35:33And maybe Trump's already made up his mind that Lee Zeldin is the guy.

35:38And if he is, then then we'll see how this plays out.

35:41And we like these. See, Lee.

35:45Yes, we like you called Z, too.

35:48He had a good run at the governor's mansion.

35:51It didn't work out. I know he got he got beat.

35:53But that helped a lot, you remember, with the House because there was enough of

35:59a Republican momentum in the state of New York that Long Island, where Lee is

36:08actually from, was the difference maker.

36:11So anyway. So, yeah, again, with Pam Bondi.

36:14Send us your thoughts on this, by the way, if you want.

36:17Agree, disagree with Pam Bondi moving on.

36:20But I think it's a strong.

36:22Also, the caller there, I didn't say anything about Tulsi Gabbard.

36:25I guess he's just assuming that that's maybe enough.

36:28There are some reports out there that Tulsi may be on her way out, too.

36:31We don't know. Well, just just to be clear, I didn't say that.

36:34So that wasn't that's not for me.

36:36I just wanted to clarify the record there that Tulsi, I wasn't.

36:43I've seen those reports. But, yeah.

38:44We're joined now by retired Brigadier General Sean Harris.

38:47He's a cattle farmer from northwest Georgia.

38:50He is running for Congress out of Georgia's 14th District.

38:54General Harris spent 40 years in the United States military.

38:57His last position was a senior defense official for the State Department based in Israel.

39:06He is a Democrat -facing Republican candidate, Clay Fuller.

39:11Sir, thank you for your service.

39:13Thank you for joining us on the show.

39:15Hey, guys. It's great. I'm so happy to be on your show.

39:18Look forward to talking to you.

39:20Yeah, absolutely. Can I ask you about this first?

39:23And given that you are a senior defense official for the State Department and you're

39:2840 years in the military, what's your take on how things are going in the

39:31Middle East right now? Yeah, you know, thank you for that question.

39:35The reality of it is we kind of got ourselves in a little bit of

39:40a situation. Obviously, you remember last night the President of the United States.

39:43I'm glad he did come up on the net and talk to the American people.

39:46However, he didn't actually tell the American people, how do we actually get into this

39:50war? And furthermore, he didn't tell us exactly how we're going to get out of

39:54it. And then the last piece is what does it look like the day after?

39:59Because as some of you may know, your villagers may know, that if you break

40:03it, you own it. And I just want to make sure that as we're working

40:08our way through this, you know, our military is the most powerful military walks the

40:12face of the earth. We will win this war with our military.

40:15But I am concerned if we don't watch it, we can lose this war politically

40:20because the American people don't understand what we're doing and why we're doing it.

40:23If you were in Congress right now and there were a war resolution and the

40:29President was asking to be able to fight Iran, he's saying it's not a war

40:33and they haven't requested this.

40:35But would you have supported the President's strikes in Iran if, based on your background,

40:4040 years in the military, former Brigadier General, would you have said, yes, we should

40:45take the Ayatollah out if you had been asked?

40:48Yeah, you know, the reality of it is when we move to the top secret

40:51side, and I know, if I'm not mistaken, Buck was CIA so he understands exactly

40:55what I'm talking about here, is when we go to the top secret level, I

41:00fully expect the President and his staff to come in and brief Congress.

41:03I also expect Congress to do their job.

41:05And based on that information, if it was a fact that they actually had the

41:10potential to have nuclear weapons again, then yes.

41:13But if it wasn't clear, because we're getting conflicting information at this point.

41:18And as you see, Pam Bundy has just been fired from her job.

41:22But we're getting conflicting information.

41:23So based on the information, I would have either voted yes, or based on the

41:28lack of information, I would have told the President, you need to come in here

41:31and tell the American people exactly why we're getting into this, because many of us

41:35did 20 plus years in a forever war, and we don't need to do that

41:38again. Hey, General, so far everything you're saying sounds entirely reasonable and well thought out.

41:46I just have this question.

41:47You're a Democrat. What's going on?

41:50Yes. Why are you a Democrat?

41:52Now you've got to tell us this, because we don't have too many Democrats who

41:56join. I would tell you, you know, the reality of it is, I would not

42:02be on your show talking to you today.

42:04If not, if my military fellow veterans wouldn't have came over to my farm when

42:10we first got home from Israel, I'm putting up a fence, and they say, hey,

42:14sir, you still got too much fire on your belly.

42:16We looked at your bio.

42:18You got it. Whatever that it is, we want you to run against Marjorie Taylor

42:24Greene in the primary. And when they said the word primary, I had to say

42:29to them, hey, guys, I need to have a conversation.

42:32When they say what? I said, guys, you know, in the military, we don't talk

42:34about being a Democrat, Independent, or Republican, but I got to tell you the truth.

42:39If we're going to go down a road and a path like this, I am

42:42a moderate Democrat. And they took about a minute and said, okay, we still want

42:48to support you. So it was the Republicans here in Northwest Georgia who actually recruited

42:53me. It's Republicans in Northwest Georgia still supporting me.

42:57However, I am a Democrat, but I am not tied to a party.

43:00And that's what makes me different because leadership matters.

43:04And when I get to D .C., I'm going to stand up strictly for the

43:07people here in Northwest Georgia only, period.

43:10And that's when I get there.

43:12That's why the Republicans want to know how I'm going to vote and the Democrats

43:15want to know how I'm going to vote.

43:16So now a big part, obviously, given how close the house is, you know, a

43:21very slim difference between who the speaker is, whether it's a Democrat or Republican.

43:26If you were elected as a Democrat, though, I presume you would be voting for

43:32Hakeem Jeffries as speaker. I, you know, I can't just sit here on your show

43:37and tell you that. So here's a little book.

43:38Okay. Okay. Because the reality of it is, if the Democrats take over the House,

43:42I'm assuming there's going to be a lot of people who's going to be fighting

43:45for that position. At the end of the day, my focus will be on whoever

43:50that is, how is that person going to be looking at the rural community?

43:54Because I believe that right now the rural community is being left out and being

43:59left behind. So I'm going to be voting for whoever is going to say, Sean,

44:06we will make sure that every time we have a discussion, we're looking through a

44:10lens of the rural community.

44:11And oh, by the way, Sean, we're going to get the farm bill done so

44:14we can take care of people in the rural community, those farmers that are out

44:17there, instead of just talking about it.

44:19So that's where I'm at.

44:20I don't know Akeem Jeffries.

44:22I don't know him personally.

44:23However, I have briefed him in my other capacities, Brigadier General Harris, as a senior

44:29defense official in Israel. So pretty much every leader or every representative in Congress right

44:38now, I have personally briefed when they came over to Israel.

44:41So they already know me.

44:43They know I'm a straight shooter and they know I can stand on my own

44:45two feet and fight for the people here in the United States, but specifically here

44:49in northwest Georgia now. We're talking to former Brigadier General Sean Harris.

44:53He's running in northwest Georgia for the congressional seat being vacated by Marjorie Taylor Greene

44:59as a Democrat against Clay Fuller, a Republican.

45:02There's a big governor's race going on in Georgia.

45:05There's a big Senate race going on in Georgia.

45:08You say you're a moderate Democrat.

45:11What do you think? I'm just kind of curious about men competing in women's sports.

45:17This happened in Atlanta. You got Leah Thomas, who was a man identifying as a

45:22woman, won an NCAA title.

45:25Would you support that or do you think only men should be in men's sports

45:30and women in women's sports?

45:32Because most Democrats publicly right now say if you're a man who identifies as a

45:36woman, you should be able to compete in women's sports.

45:40Yeah, I tell you, I like these type questions because these are the type questions

45:45that try to take me in a particular path.

45:48And that's why I say I'm a moderate Democrat.

45:50Where I stand is this.

45:52I know the difference between a man and a woman.

45:54And I want men to play on men's sports, women to play in women's sports.

45:58And I want sports to be fair and I want sports to be fun.

46:02So that's that's where I'm at.

46:04And here in northwest Georgia, you spoke about Atlanta, but here in northwest Georgia, we

46:09just trying to make ends meet.

46:11We we are trying to make sure that we can feed our families and bring

46:14jobs here. And that's why I continue to talk about kitchen table issues.

46:19I don't dodge any questions at all.

46:21But the reality of it is the people here in northwest Georgia, Democrats, independents and

46:27yes, Republicans are saying, Sean, we want you to stay focused 100 percent on us.

46:33And the issue that you're talking about is not an issue here in northwest Georgia

46:37because our girls play on girl teams.

46:40Our boys play on boys teams.

46:42And that's what makes me different as a moderate Republican.

46:45I'm going to make sure I stay laser focused on what is happening here in

46:50rural America, because I live in Rock Mart, Georgia, small town, small town America.

46:55That's where I was born and raised in Blakely, Georgia, southwest Georgia.

46:59And that's what I'm all about.

47:01General, can I ask you?

47:02There are some issues that no matter where you are in the country, clearly the

47:07federal policy and legislation affects you.

47:10Right. And that's why we have a federal government.

47:12We have state. We have local.

47:13So, for example, the border and illegal immigration, I don't care if somebody is in

47:19New York City or they're in rural Georgia or they're in, you know, Montana, anywhere

47:25in the country. Illegal immigration is something that affects people because of the of of

47:31the representation in Congress that it affects because of the costs, because of all those

47:37things that we know. Do you agree with the securing of the border under the

47:41Trump administration and would you vote alongside Republicans who are trying to, for example, fund

47:49ICE and continue deportations? Or would you vote with Democrats against that?

47:55Yeah, let me let me break your question down into two parts, because I love

47:59complex questions. But as a retired general, I need to make sure I stay laser

48:03focused on your answer. The first part of your question talked about the southern border.

48:07I agree 100 percent. President Trump got it spot on.

48:11He got it right because President Biden and Vice President Harris, they lost the ball

48:16and they were letting all kind of people in.

48:18So when it comes to the southern border, I want to be clear.

48:22The southern border needs to stay closed.

48:24And President Trump does it right.

48:25And I'm going to support him on that.

48:26Now, when it comes to immigration, the president said that he was going to actually

48:31go at the worst of the worst murders, rapists, whatever else.

48:35I'm 100 percent behind him on that.

48:37However, the difference is because I've served in our military and I actually have served

48:43with ICE. ICE role is to be doing things down by the water and I

48:47should be picking up the worst of the worst from our jails throughout the country.

48:52They should not be on the street being like a regular cop, because if you

48:57kill somebody, Americans, then we definitely have to look at it.

49:01So the reality of it is on the second part of the answer is this.

49:05I want to. make sure that ICE is functional, but I want to make sure

49:09that they follow the rules of their own organization as regular police officers and go

49:14back into their mission. The president of the United States, as you know, something was

49:19going on because he fired whoever was in charge of HHS.

49:23And in addition to that, I think the new person that just got it the

49:27other day, forgive me, I can't remember his name as we're speaking.

49:29I think you have already started to see he's starting to make some changes, and

49:33I believe those changes are going to be for the better.

49:35So that is how I would answer that question, because I am different, and I

49:40don't like when people try to put me in a box, because Sean Harris can

49:44never be put in a box, because I'm focused right here on the people here

49:48in Northwest Georgia, and I want to make sure that I'm supporting them.

49:52And what they have said to me, Sean, make sure that southern border stays closed.

49:56We're going to do that.

49:57Sean, we want to make sure that ICE is doing their job the right way,

50:00and we're going to do that.

50:01Sean, you sound like a good man.

50:02You also sound like a Republican.

50:05Well, I tell you, maybe that's the reason why they came and recruited me, and

50:11maybe that's the reason why Republicans in this district are saying, you know what, Sean,

50:16we're going to give you a chance, and if you don't do your job between

50:21now and November, we're going to fire you.

50:25And you know what I said to them?

50:26Perfect, because as a leader, I love for people to hold me accountable, and that's

50:32why more than 7 ,000 people in this district got my direct phone number, and

50:37they can call me and ask me a question just like you do, and I

50:40don't dodge them not one day.

50:42I look forward to going to D .C., having, doing the hard work, bringing back

50:47generational jobs here. And when I say generational jobs, if you'll just let me say

50:52this, I thought last night was outstanding because we proved last night that as Americans,

50:58when we work together, we can launch, go around the moon, come back, land, and

51:04then guess what we're going to do?

51:06We're going to go to the moon, then we're going to put people on the

51:09moon, we're going to put a nuclear action on the moon, and after we do

51:12all that in a few years, we're going to go to a place called Mars.

51:15And when I get to D .C., I'm going to make sure that we bring

51:19generational jobs right back here to Northwest Georgia, like Huntsville is nowhere from us, and

51:24those jobs will be the jobs that our people work in for the rest of

51:27their lives and their kids' life and their grand return's life to make sure that

51:31we are part of the mission of putting somebody on Mars.

51:34And that is the difference between me and my opponent.

51:37Last question for you, Brigadier General Sean Harris with us running as the Democrat in

51:42Northwest Georgia in a special election to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene, and then the election

51:47will happen again in November.

51:50In 2024, did you vote for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump?

51:56I'm not going to lie to you.

51:58I voted for Kamala Harris.

51:59However, at the end of the day, I said even in that election against Marjorie

52:04Taylor Greene, when I get to D .C., if Trump is doing something right, I'm

52:09going to say yes and support him.

52:11But what I will also say is this, Marjorie Taylor Greene 2 .0, the new

52:17Marjorie Taylor Greene, if you listen to her statements, now she talks about health care,

52:23now she talks about insurance, now she talks about we need to help our farmers,

52:27now she talks about being in a war of choice, and now she talks about

52:33we need to release the Epstein files.

52:35Marjorie Taylor Greene positions have moved closer to Sean Harris as the moderate versus Sean

52:41Harris moving toward Marjorie Taylor Greene.

52:44So what we actually say here in the district is Democrats, independents, and Republicans are

52:50all saying this Sean Harris is different.

52:53He's a leader. He can stand on his own two feet.

52:57I don't need any major endorsements from major people.

53:00I don't need to take money from other organizations.

53:03We are not selling our soul to anybody, any organization, so that we can go

53:09to D .C. and actually represent the hard -working people in this district, because the

53:15hard -working people in this district deserve somebody that's finally going to listen to them,

53:20and that person is me.

58:29we have been talking about the situation in iran the launch of artemis 2 and

58:36the address that president trump had last night we are now joined by katie zachariah

58:42she is a lawyer she has got a lot of different opinions on a variety

58:47of topics but katie thanks for joining us right off the top uh pam bondy

58:52is out you're a lawyer i floated several names florida governor ron de santis uh

58:58the both senators mike lee and ted cruz um there are reports that lee zeldin

59:05might be the choice if you sort of had a magic wand and you were

59:09able to put names into the mix for attorney general based on your legal background

59:15anybody that stands out to you that you think would do a good job as

59:19attorney general well you you had a great list there and governor de santis has

59:24done an excellent job in florida and i'd love to juxtapose that with our disaster

59:28out here in california but when i look at attorney general i look at really

59:32i like todd blanche a lot that man stood behind president trump during the off

59:37years he risked his career to defend him in court he is savage and he

59:42is cutthroat and i absolutely like him so if he does a great job as

59:46acting ag i think that they should put him permanently in that position and he

59:51should be there to support the president i think he is a great pick okay

59:55hey katie it's buck uh there's some stories out there not confirmed yet but that

1:00:00that have to do you with the departure of Pam Bondi and something along the

1:00:06lines of an investigation that was going on into Swalwell, who, as we all know,

1:00:12is, unless I'm missing something, supposed to be the next governor of California, according to

1:00:18the Democrats, right? Is there any way in your mind, as a Californian and a

1:00:23lawyer, is there any way in your mind that Swalwell might get pushed aside by

1:00:29the Democrats based on, I'm not saying a Republican is going to win in California,

1:00:33but if something really, really tough comes out, let's just say, in this investigation into

1:00:39Swalwell, his ties to the Chinese spy, this is the stuff that's out there.

1:00:43Is it easy for them, you think, to move somebody else into the slot, or

1:00:47is Swalwell the Democrats guy in California, come what may?

1:00:51Great question, but who are they going to put in?

1:00:53Katie Porter, right? Like, I think they're banking on Swalwell because they don't have anyone

1:00:58else, and if he turns out to have this, you know, he has this situation

1:01:02with, where does he live?

1:01:03Is he in California, or was it D .C.

1:01:06or Maryland or Virginia? He had another residence, and so he has a lot of

1:01:10factors against him. What he doesn't have against him is he has good hair, which,

1:01:14you know, the current governor has great hair, and that's what he's going to run

1:01:18for president on, and that's about it.

1:01:20And I think he has, right now, the support of the Democrat Party, but they're

1:01:24going to have to do a hard line with him.

1:01:27And as soon as this stuff starts trickling out, he has a long history of

1:01:31this. This is not new about Swalwell.

1:01:33He's just kind of flown under the radar for a long time.

1:01:36And reports are indicating that he may or may not have been friends with Pam

1:01:40Bondi. I don't know the veracity of that, but if he now doesn't have a

1:01:45friend as AG, maybe we're going to see a little bit more about Eric Swalwell

1:01:48coming out, in my opinion.

1:01:50Isn't it crazy, Katie, that he could be having, allegedly, a sexual relationship with a

1:01:58Chinese spy, I believe, Fang Fang, and that he could now, sometimes people get elected,

1:02:06and I might not agree with them, but I can sit back and say, okay,

1:02:09you know what? I can see how that, the idea that Eric Swalwell could be

1:02:13in charge of California, as bad as Gavin Newsom has been, I think Swalwell would

1:02:18be orders of magnitude worse.

1:02:20And again, he allegedly slept with a Chinese spy.

1:02:25I just can't believe that he's electable anywhere.

1:02:28Correct. We need to start going after him on all of those things.

1:02:32He hasn't done anything for California.

1:02:34It's all been, it's all really been him promoting himself, and that's what we've seen

1:02:39with most of these government officials out of California, and really in a lot of

1:02:42places, but he shouldn't be, he should not be a serious contender.

1:02:46But this is a problem that the Democrat Party faces on a presidential.

1:02:50They don't have good candidates right now.

1:02:52And so they're pulling from Gavin Newsom, and our state is now, we're bankrupt, everyone's

1:02:58fleeing Los Angeles in droves, Hollywood can't make a film here, industry's crashing, President Trump

1:03:04has to have an emergency order to drill oil from our entire state over a

1:03:12gold bed of oil, and they're not doing anything about it.

1:03:15So look, the Democrat Party is in free fall, and I think that this is

1:03:20going to come back to haunt Swalwell, and we're going to be left with a

1:03:23Katie Porter, which means we're probably going to have a Republican governor.

1:03:28It's amazing. We're speaking to Katie Zachariah.

1:03:31It's amazing that you mentioned Hollywood in there.

1:03:34Now it's, for a while, I think, the talking points from the Democrats have been,

1:03:40we're the global media power, or global entertainment powerhouse, and it's all, Hollywood's doing great,

1:03:46and look at this, and look at that.

1:03:47And now, finally, the numbers have come out.

1:03:49For people that work in this arena, I'm not talking about Netflix executives who can

1:03:55just write checks to have the show made in Budapest or Vancouver, which is, that's

1:04:00actually happening a lot, because it's so much cheaper.

1:04:03For anyone who lives in Los Angeles County, which has been for 100 years with

1:04:09Hollywood, the epicenter of the global film and entertainment industry, it's turning into a ghost

1:04:17town for that industry, right?

1:04:18The jobs are down, what, like 60, 70 percent?

1:04:21I mean, it's in free fall.

1:04:23Do people realize that this is because of policy, because of what has been done

1:04:28by the governance, by the governing bodies of California?

1:04:33Well, I hope so, because if you look at this trajectory, this has really been

1:04:38in, I mean, Gavin Newsom inherited a little bit of this, but the free fall

1:04:41has really been happening since then, and it goes into the wider story of Hollywood.

1:04:46They're not making movies that Americans want to see anymore, and so they're, you know,

1:04:51they're selling woke, woke, woke, and people are now finding alternative forms of entertainment and

1:04:57looking towards alternative studios like Angel Studios to find family -friendly, non -woke material that

1:05:04they can watch with their entire family.

1:05:06So, listen, what's happening in Hollywood with the taxes, people can't afford it.

1:05:10So you have an actor or an aspiring actor who comes out here and wants

1:05:14to work in Hollywood. They can't even afford a one -bedroom apartment in the middle

1:05:19of West Hollywood or really in any of the surrounding regions.

1:05:22So it's a whole problem of affordability, taxes, material that they can't use, and the

1:05:29deco... of Hollywood in general.

1:05:31And so they're going to places like Georgia.

1:05:32I myself went to go to have a film filmed in Ireland because it was

1:05:40a quarter of the cost to do it in Ireland.

1:05:43This was a young George Washington film that's going to be coming out.

1:05:47But they had to film this whole thing in Ireland because the tax incentives are

1:05:50so terrible in the United States.

1:05:52So Los Angeles is just, they never get it right right now.

1:05:55And there's a mass exodus because you cannot afford to live here and be an

1:06:00aspiring actor or really an aspiring entrepreneur.

1:06:05Katie, did I just hear that you have a role in young George Washington?

1:06:12My husband is an executive producer on the film.

1:06:15So yes, we got to go to Ireland and travel for that film, which was

1:06:21an exciting, exciting time. Well, that's super cool.

1:06:24And I do think this is important and I've said it quite a lot.

1:06:28I've spent a lot of time in LA.

1:06:30I have a lot of great friends in LA, probably the second city that I've

1:06:35spent the second most time in and almost in my life.

1:06:37And I've done a lot of television.

1:06:39And Katie, I'm sure you've seen this too.

1:06:42And I've talked about it on the program before, but sometimes people hear, oh, well,

1:06:46there's a lot less jobs for Hollywood.

1:06:48Good. I hope they wear it.

1:06:50Actually, a lot of the people losing those jobs are Republicans.

1:06:54A lot of the people who build the sets.

1:06:56A lot of the people who walk around and carry the cameras.

1:06:59A lot of the people who do the physical labor that is required to make

1:07:03movie and television shows and commercials actually vote red.

1:07:07So they don't even share the politics of the people that are costing them their

1:07:12jobs. And I do think that's worth keeping in mind.

1:07:15Remember, there are in 2020, there were more Republican votes for Donald Trump in California

1:07:24than in Texas in 2020.

1:07:26Now, that's a function of population.

1:07:27But Katie, there are a lot of people who agree with you, me and Buck

1:07:30that live all over California.

1:07:33Well, that's the case. And we feel like the unrepresented, underrepresented majority here, because you

1:07:40have a lot of frustration.

1:07:41But again, California shows exactly why sanctuary states should not happen, exactly why we should

1:07:50have the SAVE Act, and exactly why we should be able to regulate who's voting

1:07:55in our elections. Because if everything gets cleaned up, and you have proof of citizenship,

1:08:02and you have people that are supposed to be voting, only voting in California, this

1:08:07state would not be blue.

1:08:08It would not be even deep blue.

1:08:10I think we would be purple to red, based on what you just said.

1:08:14Most Californians do not agree with the current governance.

1:08:17Most Californians do like President Trump and his policies, and want more of President Trump's

1:08:22policies, but have been completely stomped on by the Democrat Party in California.

1:08:27And if you look at the fraud, on top of that, we're paying a high,

1:08:31high price to continue with these sanctuary policies and sanctuary politicians.
