0:25And Buck, as I'm starting off this hour, this just came across my Twitter feed.

0:31Listen to the call -out rate from Sunday.

0:35These are TSA agents not showing up for work.

0:39Remember, they're not being paid.

0:44BWI, 38%. This is according, by the way, to David Shepardson.

0:49JFK, 37 .4%. Pittsburgh, 24 .7%.

0:55Philadelphia, 24 .2%. LaGuardia in New York City, 21 .7%.

1:02IAH in Houston, 39 .1%.

1:07Phoenix, 20 .3%. New Orleans, 42 .3%.

1:13And Atlanta, 41 .5%. So if you're wondering, hey, how did Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston,

1:24and JFK, I bet things were awful at BWI, too.

1:29I hadn't heard about BWI.

1:31The call -out rate, people aren't getting paid.

1:34They're getting frustrated. And some of these people, I bet, are doing second jobs because

1:40they have to pay. I just find this to be, again, absolutely inexcusable that we're

1:46requiring the TSA agents to show up, not be paid.

1:49And by we, I mean Democrats.

1:51And so if you're looking at Polymarket, for instance, they are projecting that the shutdown,

2:01the refusal to pay TSA agents is going to extend into April.

2:06So 67 % chance this thing extends into April.

2:11So this is not going to get any better.

2:14And in fact, in many places, it's probably going to get worse.

2:18And again, those call -out rates are huge.

2:22But if you think about what's going on, people have kids.

2:25They have the ability and responsibility.

2:29It's like their bills are people are just like, oh, okay.

2:33You don't have to pay your car payment.

2:35You don't have to pay rent.

2:36You don't have to pay $40 ,000 a year is the average TSA agent salary.

2:41And again, I just would say, how many people out there, you've been in this

2:45situation, I've been in this situation, could go a month without being paid and still

2:51be able to pay your bills.

2:52Most people can't. And so this is indefensible.

2:55I lived paycheck to paycheck for years.

2:57It was like money came in, paid rent, some money for food and gas, and

3:02like that was it. So that's, you know, obviously you can run up credit card

3:06debt, but that's not a good idea.

3:08Yeah. I mean, and so it's a tough situation right now, ICE agents being deployed

3:14to try and make everything better.

3:17Buck, I talked about this yesterday or Friday on the program.

3:23You know how, you weren't here, so I want to hit you with these stats

3:27because DC does something interesting.

3:29They publish all of their data, their crime data online.

3:34And so you can look at it in real time.

3:37And we're talking, President Trump is in Memphis discussing the success that he's had driving

3:43down the overall rate of crime.

3:46This is an extraordinary data point.

3:49It has received hardly any attention.

3:51And I talked about it.

3:53Remember, you well do, because we talked about it.

3:56What if what President Trump was doing on crime actually just worked, right?

4:02Everybody came out in DC and they said two things.

4:04They said, one, hey, well, crime's not that bad.

4:09And, you know, you're like, you're lying, right?

4:12You recognize. And then and then some leftos, some legacy media even said, well, crime

4:19is pretty bad. And then they said crime's not bad.

4:22So they were willing to lie in DC.

4:24Secondly, secondly, they said, well, this is not going to work.

4:28Buck, Trump is in Memphis, 25 year low on violent crime there.

4:35As of this year compared to last year, murder right now is down 65 percent

4:41in Washington, DC. And sexual assault is down 65 percent compared to last year.

4:49Can I just point this out?

4:51Those numbers are incredible. And the fact that this isn't I'm even going to I'm

4:56going to hit some of the conservative media on this or some of the Trump

4:58supporting media on this. Guys, where are you?

5:01We're a little too much.

5:03Just sort of holding a microphone up to whatever Trump is saying and just going,

5:07oh, he's handling it all for us.

5:08OK, yeah, but you have massive news entities and people with big platforms out there

5:14who need to be getting this messaging out, not just to the party faithful, not

5:18just to people that voted Trump three times, but get it out to the so

5:22-called normies in the middle.

5:24Just the everyday folks who don't pay very close.

5:27If you're listening to this show, you care about politics, you care about current events,

5:30and you're informed. That's just reality.

5:32You know more than a vast majority of the people you come across at the

5:36grocery store, at the gas station, in the school pickup line, whatever.

5:39You know more than they do because you listen to this show.

5:42You're welcome. Thank you for being with us, of course.

5:46But, Clay, there are all these people who have no idea what you're talking about

5:50with the numbers. They have never heard this before.

5:52They don't know. And it's a massive, massive win.

5:56If you were trying to become the mayor of D .C.

6:00for a second term, let's say, and you had brought down the crime rate, 60%,

6:06the murder rate, 60%, that would be the number one thing I think you would

6:10be telling everybody. Trump helped them do this, and he's not even the mayor.

6:15And, again, I just think this is so important.

6:19A lot of times when things go well, there is a failure to cover them

6:24because there is a bad news bias that is out there.

6:27And I think you're right.

6:28How many people out there in so -called conservative media do you think have shared

6:33with their audience that Washington, D .C.

6:36homicides are down 65%, that sex assaults are down 65%, that Memphis is at a

6:4325 -year crime low, and, oh, by the way, that the country is at a

6:47125 -year low for murders?

6:51That is unbelievable. Buck, if you and I had come on, I always like to

6:56play this game. If you and I had come on and way overpromised and we

7:01had said, I think this Trump surge is going to work, this is a no

7:04-brainer, murders are going to drop 50 % year over year, everyone out there in

7:10legacy media would have grabbed our tweet or would have grabbed our soundbite and they

7:16would have dunked on us over how ridiculous that prediction was.

7:20In fact, we would have been undershooting by a significant degree how successful Trump's surge

7:27was. And by the way, why wouldn't this be replicated in every city with high

7:34crime in America? Imagine if, to your point, Buck, imagine if we just grew used

7:40to allowing murder to happen because we weren't willing to do the things that were

7:45necessary to drive it down.

7:47How much different would America look like if murders dropped 60 % in the next

7:52year? Clay, this is reminding me, actually, of this moment from the first Trump administration

7:58when I was doing my show, but also something called Rising on Hill TV, which

8:05later became Breaking Points, which is now the Crystal and Sager show, which is a

8:09very big podcast. But I remember when I was doing that show, all these Democrats

8:13who hated Trump. This is his first Trump administration.

8:16You know the argument I had to have with them over and over again on

8:18the show? Because this was around the kids in cages era and border security stuff,

8:24right? You know what the argument was?

8:26Walls don't work. That was their talking point.

8:30Walls don't work. And you sit here, you're like, that is the dumbest thing.

8:35This is like saying water isn't wet.

8:37Of course walls work. Walls have worked for all of human history.

8:40They're not perfect. But, you know, you wouldn't say, like, antibiotics don't work because they

8:46don't work 100 % of them.

8:47Yeah, they work. It just, it was the dumbest talking point.

8:51And sure enough, it finally started to get out there because more and more people

8:55with Border Patrol would say, hey, you know, it actually helps us in this area.

8:59You don't have to have a wall over the entire border.

9:01Anyway, my point with this is, let's look at what Trump did.

9:05Like, they were saying walls don't work because they hate Trump.

9:07And they were willing to take the dumbest position imaginable.

9:11Like, they had figured something out that for all of human history we had been

9:14wrong on, okay? Now, look at what Trump did in D .C., Clay.

9:18Declared a crime emergency. Deployed National Guard and additional, people forget this, additional federal law

9:25enforcement agents. By the way, Director Cash Patel, who gets a lot of heat from

9:31the media on a lot of things, FBI's played a big role in this.

9:35Our friend Dan Bongino, when he was deputy director, he was pushing this big time,

9:40big role in this. This is the most important stuff the FBI does.

9:43Get very bad, dangerous people off the streets.

9:46They had a massive surge in fugitive task force operations, essentially grabbing the guys that

9:54you've been trying to get for a long time.

9:56A massive surge in going after high -profile criminal targets using federal – people forget

10:01this. Do you know, any drugs – if you're a drug dealer, you're breaking federal

10:05law. Like, it's actually a federal crime.

10:08It's not just a state crime.

10:09Even if you're just selling, and so federal resources can be – and there's a

10:12lot of crimes. If you're a drug dealer carrying a firearm as well as drugs

10:17to sell, that's a specific federal crime.

10:20That's an additional – I think it's a 10 -year felony you get hit with

10:23for that, right? Because you're committing a felony, and you're carrying an illegal firearm as

10:27a felon. So, Clay, there's all these things.

10:29Of course this brings the crime rate down.

10:32But do you see what I'm – do you see what I'm getting at here?

10:34No, they're all – this is the most obvious – They're all connected.

10:36But they told us crime wasn't bad, and, oh, by the way, this is going

10:41to fail. And I just think results matter.

10:44When you try something – and we said at the time, maybe it doesn't have

10:48any impact really substantial at all.

10:50But at least you're trying to do – something one of the best lessons you

10:55can get in management is just make a decision right because if you're wrong you

11:00can change the decision if you're right things get better and so failure to do

11:05things just keeps everything bad you know making choices and making a decision is actually

11:12so important and i give credit i think it ties in with when this call

11:16president trump's like yeah why don't we just put ice in airports we can do

11:20things the obvious this is the the genius of trumpism is being willing to do

11:27the obvious thing that will make things better it's really that simple do the obvious

11:31thing don't listen to all the squawking from the talking heads who know nothing on

11:35tv or for that matter a lot of them on podcasts and radio like do

11:39the obvious thing to there is a fire you have a bucket of water don't

11:44listen to the people who say well sometimes water can make the fire worse what

11:48if there are chemicals in that fire no yeah throw the bucket of water on

11:51the fire make things better this is the fundamental genius of trumpism in action do

11:58the obvious thing that will work and and sure enough here we are once again

12:02we see pouring water on a fire usually you know 99 of the time makes

12:08the fire less bad or puts it out and and i you know what i

12:12clay i knew this was going to work in dc because and and i told

12:15you this i think i mentioned on the show i have a friend who's democrat

12:19very good friend of mine has very good connections into the dc mayor's office that's

12:23all i'll say and he's like oh no she she knows this is she's not

12:26good she's not going to be all out in front saying i love trump but

12:30she's happy that the crime rate's gonna go down because you know who looks you

12:33know who looks like one of the best mayors in the country right now muriel

12:36bowser of dc it's true look at the numbers she takes she gets trump has

12:43handed her the best crime drop numbers of any mayor like since giuliani in the

12:4790s in new york and all she had to do was not be a total

12:51maniac who did everything in her power to undermine and by the way she did

12:54criticize it i'm not saying that but hey we're on pace for the lowest murder

13:00rate in washington dc in recorded history in our 250th year anniversary of the country's

13:08founding it seems i thought trump gets the symbolism of that uh and you can't

13:13have a great country if your capital isn't safe i just i would stand by

13:19that no matter what country you're in you know clay also this is where i

13:22think the conservative mind and the liberal mind or the leftist mind progressive whatever they

13:28change the terms because over time people realize how bad they are so they have

13:31to keep cycling notice i've been a conservative mind we've never gone oh i'm not

13:34conservative no no but it's because conservative is based on it's applying the knowledge of

13:39history and experience to try to make good decisions today liberals are what's going to

13:43feel good to say right now leftists are what's going to put the state in

13:47place of god and empower it to do everything for me so i don't have

13:49to do anything um but you you know you look at these things you look

13:53at the way this plays out and this should be so obvious to everyone if

13:59we were wrong about something if putting blue light you know those do you have

14:04those on your campus clay they had these things like yeah where you can hit

14:07the thing and it would immediately set off yeah to me it's like well in

14:11an era of cell phones you know do you really even you know what's the

14:13deal you have a cell phone everyone has a cell phone on but if putting

14:16blue lights up all all over a city or something brought the murder rate down

14:2060 i'd be like well i was wrong i want less murders rapes and robberies

14:24let's put up more like i would admit that there was something that they're not

14:29admitting that what trump has done has saved lives and saved countless people from being

14:35the victims of violent crimes all you have to do i just went directly to

14:39the washington dc data center it's the easiest research for anyone on the planet to

14:45do no one is talking about it and again when things are going well and

14:51trump is involved at all the reason you hear nothing because trump is partly responsible

14:58for things going well they won't cover interesting mariel bowser of dc by the way

15:02not running for a fourth term she's going to go do something else you know

15:06what she's going to do she's going to go into the private sector and she's

15:09going to be giving lectures uh for you know 50 to 100 000 a pop

15:14about how to turn around the crime situation in dc just watch just watch probably

15:20right you're probably right you know how to really run a city look at look

15:23at the great numbers she's going to go out on here after a fourth term

17:59a year ago in march one of you two guys said these tariffs are the

18:06way to go and if they've not gone down by september last september then i'll

18:12go wear a uh clown suit they're higher now than they were then where's the

18:18clown suit at you got to be truthful to the people well we didn't say

18:22that um i will put everybody on transcript review scott i think what you might

18:28remember is i said i would wear a clown outfit uh on pierce morgan show

18:34if the stock market was lower when everybody was panicked in april and last year

18:40and everybody was suing i said if the stock market is lower uh i think

18:45i said in a year or maybe it was 18 months i don't remember exactly

18:48uh the stock market is up about 40 since that in april so that was

18:55the discussion point thanks for the call if you want to go back and review

18:58the transcripts i think the only time i talked i don't think it was a

19:02clown suit i think i said i would wear a clown face or clown makeup

19:39not lower that was in april of 2025 the stock market is up huge um

19:46i think gas prices even now are down from where they were back then uh

19:51but i'm feeling good about that wager but again on october 7th 2026 i'll be

19:56here with a clown nose uh if i am wrong uh that's when i told

20:00you all to buy stocks in april and that things would be going well um

20:04i'm very confident that uh that that's going to be a good position if nothing

20:08else if you've spent your time listening to us for these five years and you

20:12didn't panic sell your retirement fund uh at the beginning of the trump administration definitely

20:19financially worth your time everyone no doubt i think if you would listen to that

20:56we live in an area with a lot of border patrol and homeland security employees

21:02and we live south of tucson where the mayor is terrible with all of this

21:09kind of stuff so thank you very much bye um all right so that is

21:17can we just weigh in on the linda thing real quick yeah i just want

21:21to say this i think she's totally right i think this was her idea clay

21:24you and i you you even more so you're like living in the matrix 24

21:287 but we're scanning and talking and looking at what's going on with all the

21:33conversation politically online and everywhere else sometimes someone will think that they came up with

21:38something and i'm like i've already seen that in 10 other places because it's a

21:41pretty straightforward idea this is not that i until this came up on this show

21:47i had cool yeah well seen not a peep about this anywhere in the online

21:51or otherwise media ecosystem so i i totally think linda linda i don't know maybe

21:57you just saved america like maybe you just saved the country because you called into

22:01clay and buck and you had been listening so there is that it's a truly

22:04original idea and even cnn i just retweeted it brian stelter is covering it and

22:11he went and looked the only reason i talked about it you know this probably

22:14the audience doesn't necessarily know this we don't choose our topics when we go on

22:18television so uh so people out there are like you know we choose the topics

22:23here on this show but when you go on as a television guest they they're

22:26like hey we're gonna have you talking about x or y i wasn't even necessarily

22:30100 certain what the topics were on friday so it's not like i planned it

22:36but i did want to give i the only regret i have on fox news

22:39is i wish that i had remembered linda's name i couldn't remember exactly what the

22:44caller's name was so that was on me but i didn't want to even take

22:46credit for the idea because i thought it was such a good one so i

22:50said in that clip and we'll play it for you again at the top of

22:52the next hour hey this was one of our callers on clay and buck and

22:55then it went viral from there so i i gotta tell you that when i

22:58saw this and i was in the car driving up to uh it's a long

23:02drive by the way driving from miami up to pontevedra and i feel like i'm

23:07going to become pontevedra real estate salesman of the year because i really i was

23:10just like this place is amazing it's great but as i'm driving as i'm driving

23:13up clay and uh and i'm seeing all the stuff on my phone about about

23:16linda i didn't hear the call initially um and i just remember thinking i'm like

23:22is this light and ever was that everyone thought this is this light them up

23:25linda because we had light them up linda with the drug cartel boats we're like

23:28what should be done she's like take them out blow them up oh they're floating

23:33not floating anymore take them out you know and i was like did light them

23:37up linda just light up a cigarette and go you know what we do we

23:39deploy ice to the airports you know but apparently this is arizona linda different linda

23:45so both sides of the country covered with excellent uh linda callers so um so

23:51yeah like again i think this is an example now what this is going to

23:56encourage buck is a lot of people give us manifestos anytime we have like a

24:00public event uh people are super nice they show up and they're like hey here's

24:06my 400 page treatise on why the commerce clause is being misapplied based on the

24:12original meaning of the constitution thank you like i i i would love your 400

24:19page treatise on the commerce clause it's hard for me to get through that if

24:23you can distill an idea down simply and say hey why don't we do this

24:28um again when i when i with a caller put it forward i was like

24:32hey you know what this makes an awful lot of sense and uh and it

24:36resonated with me and obviously it resonated in the white house too because i don't

24:41think there's any way to be fair i understand president trump and he deserves credit

24:45for everything because ultimately it's his administration do you think it's coincidental that on uh

24:52set on friday night i referenced this idea from linda and by saturday morning the

24:58idea of deploying ice agents was happening now where i give the president a tremendous

25:02amount of credit is it's monday and they're in 13 airports yeah he moves usually

25:07you can't get the government to do anything we got people in 13 airports hopefully

25:11helping people get through tsa i would also note on this that at a minimum

25:16and it is already helping a bit but at a minimum it shows to anyone

25:21who is paying attention in this country that the trump administration does not want you

25:25in long lines uh at with at the airports and is doing what it can

25:29including being creative and thinking outside the box to help travelers get to their spring

25:35break destinations get to you know their their ann ethel's house for the for the

25:40weekend whatever it may be work people have to go to places for their jobs

25:44um trump is trying to fix problems democrats make problems i mean that's i think

25:49one of the biggest takeaways from this or should be especially because this is an

25:52election year democrats are willing to manufacture problems and create pain for americans so they

25:58can lie about who's causing the pain and try to win votes based on that

26:02that's the game they light the fire and they're like where's the fire department not

26:07here fast enough um here's one thing that i will try to do by the

26:11way i'm going to try to get linda an autograph trump hat i think we

26:15could probably make that happen i could probably reach out i think linda had such

26:18a good idea i bet president trump would like to sign a hat for um

26:23i am quite confident buck that you and i can uh can manage to make

26:27that happen so if linda will either call back or she can give us a

26:31talk back um with her actual contact we will not play your contact information on

28:14Updating on that. Also, the TSA backlog created by Democrats on behalf of illegal aliens

28:22who are a Democrat. Let's just be honest.

28:24Foreigners in this country illegally are a Democrat constituency.

28:27One that the Democrats are very devoted to.

28:31And that is why some of you have dealt with horrific lines at airports.

28:36And it is why some of you are canceling travel, including spring break plans.

28:42Because you can't get where you have to go.

28:44Because they want to make sure that ICE does not continue its enforcement mission.

28:49We will talk about all that.

28:50But Clay, something else I wanted to note here.

28:53On the good news side of things, a statue of Christopher Columbus has been put

29:03up outside of a federal office building on White House grounds.

29:09This is a replica of a statue that was toppled in Baltimore in 2020 during

29:17the George Floyd mass race panic or racial justice protest, as CNN calls it here.

29:24And this is outside the EEOB, Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

29:30This is where Clay was barred for showing up in flip flops and a Tommy

29:33Bahama shirt. You know, they said, no, Mr.

29:36Travis, you are not at the beach.

29:37And Clay was like, but I'm Clay Travis.

29:39This is how I roll.

29:41Nonetheless, the next time you go to the White House, Clay will have proper attire

29:44and proper identification, which was the real issue, as we know.

29:49Because for some reason, Clay, you know the governor.

29:51You should ask your governor why he doesn't get you guys real IDs.

29:54I don't want to get into the real ID feud right now.

29:56But why can't Tennessee just have real compliant, you know, the real ID compliance?

29:59That's a great question. I think maybe now they are, but I can't keep up

30:03with all the real ID shenanigans.

30:19And I have to say, this is the White House saying it's proud to honor

30:24Columbus, celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary of independence.

30:34on White House grounds. Columbus is the original American hero.

30:38This is all from the White House press release on this, a giant of Western

30:41civilization, one of the most gallant and visionary men ever to walk the face of

30:44the earth, 13 -foot -tall statue, copy of the one thrown into Baltimore Harbor by

30:51the lunatic iconoclasts of the George Floyd cult.

30:57And, Clay, this is one of these things that Trump does, and it's really a

31:01side quest. Like, this isn't the main.

31:03Trump is obviously trying to fix the airports with the TSA.

31:06He's trying to win the Iran war.

31:07He's got some big things he's working on right now.

31:10This is a side quest, but it's a beautiful side quest.

31:13Absolutely love this. Standing up for Columbus, putting it on White House grounds, putting the

31:18statue up on White House grounds in this way.

31:20We were losing so much in this cultural and really this battle over history and

31:27the way that history affects our culture today.

31:30The explorers, I find that period in history fascinating, and what the explorers did clearly

31:37changed the world. These were amazing men.

31:39Columbus was an amazing individual and accomplished a tremendous amount, and Democrats hate all of

31:47that. And so the fact that they hate it means, clearly, Trump is doing the

31:52right thing here. For sure.

31:56And, again, I think whoever is able to set the parameters of historical discussion in

32:06this country, to a large extent, is determining the biggest question, which is, is America

32:12a force for good in the history of the world or not?

32:15And, as a secondary aspect of that question, is Western civilization overall good for America

32:23or not? And good for the world or not?

32:26And to me, and for most anybody out there that has ever studied history, the

32:30answer is beyond a shadow of a doubt it is.

32:32The reason why people have the luxury and the time and the resources and the

32:38ability to argue that Western civilization is awful and that America has been a force.

32:43for evil is largely because the exact opposite is true and it is the uh

32:48the incredible luxury of capitalism and maybe its ultimate flaw that it produces so much

32:55luxury and so much free time that people have the opportunity to sit around and

33:00argue about whether western civilization and american capitalism is a good thing i'm watching right

33:05now cuba's in darkness again buck uh they do not have the ability to produce

33:10electricity on the entire island did you see they sent all those influencers to go

33:15visit and argue that cuba deserved all this different support even greta uh the the

33:22young dunberg yeah greta who chases whatever left wing uh flavor of the moment is

33:27greta who was the climate change obsessive is now saying that it is immoral for

33:34the united states not to allow oil to be shipped to cuba so she i

33:39just think that's very very funny in greta thunberg's ideal world we should all live

33:44basically in the stone ages so we don't increase the uh the the overall uh

33:48you know the price uh the the temperature around the world so now she's arguing

33:53that it is immoral not to allow oil and gas to be delivered to cuba

33:58and all of these influencers according to reports buck were staying at a luxury hotel

34:03in havana which was the only place in havana with power oh wow what a

34:11shock you know what else is really shocking it turns out that if climate change

34:16is an existential threat to all of humanity which barack obama used to say as

34:21if he was some genius for saying it in formal speeches while he was president

34:25including at the coast guard academy graduation biggest national security threat we face is climate

34:30change not russia not china no no climate change um clay this is a point

34:37of such stupidity they continue on with this but it's a religious belief so it's

34:41unfalsifiable if cuba going into darkness is clearly and metaphorically metaphorically and literally um it

34:49is in darkness but if cuba were in darkness that would cut down the co2

34:54footprint dramatically they should be hailing this as a huge victory right you know cuba

34:58the cuban people can just they can they can they can build windmills and ask

35:02china to send them some solar panels right oh no it turns out that without

35:06fossil fuels you live in effectively dire poverty uh and that that is the reality

35:11you can't live in a modern civilization you can't live in a modern world currently

35:14without fossil fuels as we're seeing from the focus on this trade of hormuz and

35:19the need to keep the oil flowing from that region um but yeah back to

35:23christopher columbus for a second uh the the celebration of american history now and going

35:31into the 250th anniversary is a very very important thing they did a lot of

35:37damage to america's sense and i mean this the democrats the left all the all

35:43the uh hate america first historiography and all the stuff that was going on they

35:48did a lot of damage to our unity and to our sense of heroes of

35:53the past and things that we can again what what do we admire about columbus

35:58i'm not saying that columbus was great on lgbtq rights but that's not actually why

36:05there's a statue of him he had some areas where he was tremendous okay and

36:11i'm i would note something mlk had some areas where he was great and some

36:18areas that we know about and you've talked about this martin luther king jr that

36:22were very far from great we just even saw recently we didn't talk about it

36:27last week cesar chavez a hero quote -unquote of the labor movement in california a

36:34labor guy well it turns out now multiple allegations of raping children and there are

36:43over a hundred schools named for this individual i think like 120 schools across america

36:50that's crazy i didn't i didn't realize that we had named that yeah well i

36:54mean i'm sure they're almost all in california right they're lunatics there but yes clay

36:59this guy is he's accused of raping a 12 year old that is what has

37:03come out now i mean this this is heinous stuff you know this isn't adults

37:09at a party and somebody grabs somebody after too many cocktails this is being a

37:13predator of children that he is accused of and i would just note that are

37:19is the left going to change all these uh are they going to say oh

37:22well there was no trial or you know it's it's look at some of the

37:26people that they elevate they've elevated harvey milk the whole other you know you look

37:30at these individuals the left is willing to elevate but they want to trash columbus

37:34because he didn't have the right policy on the on the trans community or because

37:38he was too mean to the natives the natives were mean too like everybody was

37:41trying to conquer everybody back then yeah and i if you're a history person i

37:47would encourage you to go read some of the age of exploration books because what

37:52those guys did uh it really does boggle the mind the risk that they took

37:59the bravery that they showed the courage that was uh in not only from them

38:04but also from their entire crews and i think this is important we found people

38:10you you basically living very often in stone age style civilizations no literally literally stone

38:18age level advancement this was true but it was true in the americas yes people

38:22living in the stone age and they'll say oh but look at the aztecs yeah

38:25what kind of tools were they using why why were the spanish soldiers so invincible

38:29to them horses steel gunpowder in a very limited fashion it was just horses and

38:34steel yes and you go and stop i mean heck i mean even not that

38:40long ago i got to take the awesome trip to australia with my family a

38:44couple of years ago the aboriginal people were living in squalor in the 1780s and

38:53had no connection with the larger world i believe the inhabitants the original inhabitants of

38:59tasmania the island off of australia when the european explorers first arrived the inhabitants of

39:06tasmania didn't have a reliable way to start fire think about that so you're talking

39:14about yes it's a clash of civilizations but it's really western civilization which was on

39:20an entirely different level and the idea that columbus i mean maybe we can pull

39:25the i know we've played this a couple of times i think we play it

39:28on columbus day a lot but the sopranos episode which is a very funny one

39:32uh where they decide that they're going to go after christopher columbus i just came

39:36back from italy last year buck one of the coolest things of among many when

39:41you tour the vatican is you can get a sense for they have all these

39:45maps uh of the of the new world because if you go back in time

39:49and you think what was the most valuable asset for intelligence purposes in the 14

39:551500s was maps and you would protect maps uh as huge state secrets because as

40:03the age of exploration was taking place figuring out how to get to the right

40:07uh location uh was uh was incredibly valuable and even knowing where it was and

40:13so uh i think it's important to push back here in all ways and and

40:17to your point buck this was a i think it's so symbolic this was a

40:22toppled statue from during the george floyd protest that i believe was thrown into a

40:27harbor uh i think is the story on this columbus statue and it's now been

40:31reclaimed and it's put up outside the old executive office building hundreds of years before

40:37some of the south dakotans listening to this will know what i'm talking about right

40:41away hundreds of years before columbus even arrived there was a mass grave site that

40:47was really just a massacre where they piled all the bodies together the crow creek

40:50site men women and children killed scalped mutilated hundreds of years before columbus even got

40:58to the and so my point here being these tribes all lived in a constant

41:03state of of warfare there was no there was no uh christian or judeo -christian

41:09or even islamic morality that was that was taught and imposed it was just i

41:14got my tribe we got other tribes if you got to kill everybody in that

41:17tribe and take their stuff because you got a cold winter ahead that's what you

41:20do men women and children there were no rules there was no nothing now yes

41:24i know everybody is everybody is capable of extreme cruelty all different races all different

41:29religions that is obvious from all of history but it is only the native americans

41:33clay who get this treatment of they were living in harmony it was like the

41:38pocahontas movie they were they were just like all dancing around in beautiful fields of

41:42of you know amber waves of grain talking to the sparrows and and the raccoons

41:47no that's actually not how it was i have a book i told you that

41:50it's war before civilization the only thing that kept people from killing everybody in the

41:54tribe was they couldn't kill everybody in the tribe if they could if they could

41:57wipe out their adversaries man woman and child they would do it regularly there were

42:02basically constant wars this is i've been preaching this book for five years now a

42:07fun read about undaunted courage is most of those tribes had never seen a white

42:12guy before and so the danger obviously you can imagine of of that style of

42:18uh of of exploration is replicated in many different of the explorer feats but worrying

42:26that you were going to end up not yourself because there was a relatively small

42:31group of people traveling but that you were going to end up in some way

45:50president was going to put tsa agents in the airports and she said way to

45:55go so only one person has commented so far linda you may have changed the

46:04world you know this right like this we can't prove this but you may have

46:07changed the trajectory of this election year of the trump administration and perhaps the world

46:13as we know it that that's just reality how how does that feel well it

46:18felt great i've been trying to call in for over 15 years and i never

46:22got in before so well it was a good it was a good call to

46:25get in no telling how many other ideas you've had that could have changed the

46:29world okay so this idea and sometimes we get as we said earlier ideas and

46:34i'm like yeah that's an interesting idea but it's actually not uh you know feasible

46:38how did you have this idea when when did it come to you were you

46:43listening to the show and you thought of it where did the idea come from

46:47so far as you can uh you can trace it well actually i have grandkids

46:52who were traveling for spring break and so i was texting my granddaughter and i

46:57asked her how the lines were and so she was sharing with me and i

47:00thought this is really stupid why don't we just fill in with the ice agents

47:04because they're all the same agency i mean it's brilliant now we're working we're going

49:39crime do we have that guys 32 but just as we have in dc here

49:46in memphis we've achieved one of the largest fastest declines in violent crime ever recorded

49:53so that's something right ever recorded in fact you're a half a percentage point away

50:00from the record so we'll catch them in the next month or two all right

50:02i think that's gonna happen but that includes a 60 drop in robbers a 74

50:08drop in carjacking and motor vehicle thefts we have always always achieved numbers that are

51:07now president trump right now touring graceland as many of you probably have done he

51:13told us all about elvis a little bit earlier too this is cut 31 you

51:18know i'm going to see graceland after this i think is that right i love

51:21elvis i never met elvis everyone said did you i met him all i met

51:26sinatra i knew all of them i never met elvis sometimes i feel i should

51:29tell the little fibs that i knew him well i know i love elvis but

51:33i never met him but i'm going to go see graceland after this i think

51:36i'm sure it's not going to be a very long stay but uh i want

51:40to see that have you ever been to graceland buck ever toured it i've never

51:46been to memphis ever ever i'd like to go i'd like especially to go now

51:50uh i think we're number one in memphis i know we have a huge audience

51:54there graceland is a really cool place to tour what i would say is it

52:00does feel weird to tour somewhat modern homes right when you tour a uh a

52:07home mount vernon for instance or someplace like that that is very historic and old

52:12it feels strange to walk through a relatively modern day home uh but it is

52:18still a very very cool opportunity uh if you get the chance to go tour

52:22it um and i remember it being a bit i don't want memphis people to

52:27get mad at me i remember it being in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood

52:31i haven't been in like 15 20 years my wife we were dating at the

52:36time really wanted to tour graceland so we went uh it's been 20 over 20

52:42years uh but they have a uh yeah i mean it's just kind of a

52:46suburban ish neighborhood back in the day i don't think it's so suburban anymore uh

52:51but uh but kind of uh kind of wild um so uh again uh pretty

52:57cool that trump is there and again he is touting this incredible decline in violent

53:04crime he said murders are down 70 from their peak we talked about this earlier

53:09you can go look at it yourself if you want to know what washington dc

53:12crime looks like murders are down 65 there these are real tangible outcomes great results

53:19lots of lives saved seems like something we should talk about more everywhere collectively as

53:24a country you would think so trump has racked up in year one now in

53:32uh a few months into year two the most secure border in our in our

53:37lifetime and the biggest crime drops in some major american cities in the shortest period

53:42of time that we have ever seen honestly these aren't even well the border was

53:49a huge thing for him but these are things that also i think would be

53:53considered the biggest achievement of of another administration and that would be fine because they're

53:58this is major stuff uh trump is just getting started i mean there's a lot

54:03else and we haven't even talked about tariffs i mean there's a whole bunch of

54:05things that have gone on that i think are really uh praiseworthy and show that

54:11this administration is getting it done in a lot of ways on important stuff on

54:15stuff that affects all of us so clay the crime drop issue i i still

54:19don't keep coming back to and so democrats don't want to they don't want to

54:23say you know what you're right guys let's make all the cities safer yeah they're

54:26not going to do it they're not going to do it they would rather have

54:29people continue to get shot 50 percent more in this city 70 70 percent more

54:34in that city 40 percent more they'd rather have you know 20 year olds having

54:38funerals with their whole family shattered and the cycle of violence and communities ruined and

54:44all this stuff they'd rather have all of that than have law enforcement policies that

54:49left -wing maniacs think are racially insensitive that's the truth in chicago we just mentioned

54:56this poor 18 year old girl who was murdered sheridan gorman by a venezuelan illegal

55:02immigrant brandon johnson has fought to keep president trump from bringing more security to the

55:10city of chicago we know that if they had not let this illegal immigrant into

55:15the country this girl would still be alive we know that if they had merely

55:20deported him after he was arrested she would still be alive twice released this 18

55:26year old college student is dead and brandon johnson in chicago has directly fought against

55:34the same kind of decline in violent crime occurring in chicago that has happened in

55:38memphis results should matter facts should matter data should matter this is all objective you

55:44can go look it up for yourself pull up to washington dc uh violent crime

55:49and we focus we tend to focus on murders on this show because you can

55:54fudge other numbers we have to talk about buck's poor scooter crime got so bad

56:00in new york city when they stole buck's scooter he didn't even think to call

56:03new york police department he just had to deal with the fact that his scooter

56:06was gone when the loss of a scooter goes without without consequence without punishment what

56:13does that say about society clay what kind of a place are you living in

56:17means oh man i had a good joke i think i can say it means

56:22that uh you know heterosexual men heterosexual men have to learn how to walk again

56:32they can't just scoot scoot around on their scooters i actually think i got i

56:38think i gained weight because the scooter because i started scooting everywhere instead of walking

56:41i'm being totally serious by the way walking is so important walk i tell everybody

56:46this i'm so it's a big part of it walking is so important you need

56:49to you set a step counter up on your phone on your watch or whatever

56:52you can 10 000 a day really want to get more like 12 000 to

56:5615 000 steps a day every day i try i try to walk when the

57:00weather's good and make phone calls now some people think you look a little bit

57:03ridiculous walking around in your neighborhood just making phone calls but the other option is

57:07you sit in your house and you're no i do that too i want to

57:10take calls this is the only thing i hate about zoom now well there are

57:13a lot of things probably i hate about zoom but i just want to be

57:16able to take calls while i'm walking you have my total attention i just don't

57:19want to be getting slowly fatter and dying more quickly over time because i have

57:23to sit sitting all day is bad sitting all day is bad i'm being mocked

57:28i'm told in new york city studio for sounding like michael scott when i dropped

57:31my great joke from the office one of the all -time great comedies that frankly

57:37i'm not sure they could make anymore because it's such a good comedy that there's

57:40lots of things as great comedies have that might be a little bit offensive to

57:43people at times that's why republicans should be the party that likes jokes uh let
