2:48the show, our friend Danielle Gill is with us.
2:52She has the Danielle Gill Show, which is very exciting, and it will be launching
2:57soon again. She's been a little busy.
2:59She's got baby number two, the same age as my first baby.
3:03So we can talk about parenthood stuff as well.
3:05But we're going to talk some news of the day with our friend Danielle.
3:07Good to see you. Thank you, Bucks.
3:10Thank you for having me on.
3:11And yes, I'm such a big fan of speed.
3:14Winston's the same age as speed.
3:16So it's a lot of fun.
3:19It is great. Although I do feel like I have to keep my eyes on
3:23him whenever he is roaming free on his belly now because he's in that age
3:27where like he's just grabbing everything and like putting things in his mouth.
3:30And I'm like, oh, God, you know, you know, I'll tell you one thing.
3:33I don't think. Yeah. He the dog toys.
3:37We have dog toys that, you know, people say, oh, we'll keep them with the
3:39dog. Yeah. The dog leaves them all over the house.
3:41Like the dog. We try to keep them in one place and speed goes right
3:45for the dog toys. It's pretty crazy what ends up happening.
3:47So anyway, let's talk about saving the Republic, things like that for a second here,
3:53although talking about babies is far more fun, to be honest with you.
3:57We have first up the fake controversy around the FCC.
4:03You know, I talked to FCC Commissioner Carr about this and he says the whole
4:07thing is a total non story.
4:09But the Colbert show was claiming that they couldn't have on James Tallarico because there
4:17was an equal time thing.
4:19What did the lips just love to cry over nothing?
4:21Is that what this is?
4:22You know, I think Colbert got kind of caught red handed because he basically wanted
4:27to promote Tallarico. I think he is in with the Democrats.
4:30The Democrats know that Jasmine Crockett, she doesn't really have a chance to win a
4:35statewide race in Texas. She's running in this primary against Tallarico for Texas Senate as
4:41the Democrat nominee. And so I think Colbert was like, you know what, I want
4:44to promote Tallarico. And he wasn't really thinking that they would come after him to
4:49say, hey, you need to give equal time to this woman because a lot of
4:52the time they just operate, you know, without impunity.
4:55And they don't really care if you actually violate this.
4:58But since there's a Trump person in now, weirdly, I guess now that Crockett is
5:03complaining, she's kind of on the Trump side.
5:05And she's the one who's saying that she should get equal time.
5:08And so, yeah, maybe Colbert should give her equal time and then Democrats can see.
5:14But, you know, a lot of Colbert's fans probably like Crockett because she's so crazy
5:18liberal. So he was he probably doesn't really want to give her the time because
5:21they'll see how crazy she is.
5:23But then it's just hard because.
5:24Democrats actually do like Crockett.
5:27Yeah, it's a weird deal because also if the equal time rule was applied, it
5:32would just mean that they would have to have on more Democrats on his show.
5:35It's a primary. So, yeah, what's the censorship?
5:39I also, you know, I got a pretty deep dive into this with the with
5:42the commissioner. This is one of these stories that you say, like, I can't even
5:46believe it. This is really a thing, but they've made it a thing because they
5:49want attention. And I think it's actually worked.
5:51So in a sense, I tip my hat to them.
5:54They're scummy and they lie, but they do know how to get attention because people
5:57are now talking about this James Tallarico guy who seems really boring and hopefully is
6:01going to get absolutely destroyed in his Senate contest in the state of Texas.
6:07You're a Texas resident, aren't you?
6:08I am a Texas resident.
6:10Howdy. How's that going? How's life down in the big, great state of Texas?
6:16Texas is beautiful. It's a wonderful place, except for all of the kind of weird
6:23stuff. If it gets imported into Texas, we have to stop that because there's a
6:27lot of liberals that have moved down here.
6:28And then obviously we have migration issues because of a lot of the tech jobs
6:34and we have issues with the Sharia law.
6:36So there's definitely a lot that we're working on as far as Texas, keeping Texas,
6:40Texas. But Texas is amazing.
6:43Yeah, no, it's good. I mean, the one thing that keeps coming up these days
6:46as a Floridian now, and we both formerly lived in New York, so we are
6:50like refugees from the madness.
6:52Did you see what Mamdani, Kami Mamdani is doing, I might add, in New York?
6:56Jacking up taxes and taking the proposed budget to $127 billion.
7:03Oh, my gosh. I mean, are you loving Florida since you're not in New York
7:07anymore? Yes, it is a great state, a great place.
7:11And I tell everybody who will vote the correct way, which is, of course, vote
7:16right, live the right way, vote the right way.
7:19I tell everybody who's considering it, absolutely come down here.
7:22It's fantastic. And once you experience the sanity of a state where adults are, you
7:29know, for the most part, adults are in charge.
7:32I mean, our governor is great.
7:33The state legislature does a lot of very sane, very good things.
7:37Once you experience that, the idea of going back to the communist madness just feels
7:43like untenable. Why would you ever do such a silly thing?
7:47No, you can't. I mean, there was the whole, you know, the Muslims versus the
7:53dogs. But, I mean, how do you even raise kids in a city like New
7:56York? I don't know. Where are they having all these issues with Mamdani?
7:59I guess it's very unsafe.
8:01What was the Muslim? I didn't actually read this story.
8:04I didn't read this story, but you clearly did.
8:06The Muslims -dogs thing in New York.
8:08What is that? Oh, well, I think this was going around on Twitter where it
8:13was basically people were either kind of siding with who should we choose, the Muslims
8:18or the dogs, because this Representative Randy Fine tweeted about it.
8:22And I think some people really came out strong against him and some people came
8:26out the other way. Honestly, it just made me think, why do we have to
8:28ask this question? Like, why do we have so many Muslims who are taking over
8:32cities like New York? Why do we even have this problem as far as the
8:37issue goes? But I think that it's just a deep example of just a cultural
8:43rot where we have these mass migration.
8:48We have all of these different cultures in a certain place.
8:51And so, you know, they really hate dogs.
8:53So I think, you know, if you don't really love the dogs, then just don't
8:56get a dog. Do you have a dog?
8:59You know what? I grew up with a dog.
9:01I love dogs. But I think because of the two kids, I just I'm very
9:05busy with them. So I almost got a dog like right before my first kid
9:09was born. And then I was like, I need to put it off for a
9:11minute because I just it's going to be a lot.
9:14So I do. I do want to get this.
9:16You weren't expecting this on the podcast that it's Danielle.
9:19It's I'm going to talk.
9:20I'm going to talk to the mister because it's dog time.
9:23It's dog time in the Gill household.
9:25All right. You got to get this going.
9:27And the puppy, my dog and speed are best friends already.
9:31And they're so cute together.
9:33And once you get in that rhythm, I mean, I don't know.
9:36I know that you got your hands more than just full.
9:38You got two kids. We only got one over here.
9:40But I'm so pro dog for people.
9:42And I think it's great to, as a kid, grow up with a dog in
9:45your household. A lot of a lot of lessons and a lot of kid can
9:49help take care of the dog.
9:50I'm good. All right. There we go.
9:53Once they can start to walk in a little bit.
9:54I think that's a fair, that's a fair bargain, a fair timeline.
9:57Our sponsor here is Birch Gold.
9:59Everybody, if you're watching the Winter Olympics this month, you're witnessing great competition.
10:02A gold medal this year is worth roughly twenty one hundred dollars.
10:06By comparison, in twenty twenty two, they're worth about seven hundred dollars.
10:09Think about that. That shows you just how much gold's value has increased in four
10:13years time. Now, imagine having your own gold in your IRA or 401k account.
10:18If you bought it four years ago, it would have gone up by three hundred
10:21percent in value. And that's why you should have gold as part of your retirement
10:24savings. Birch Gold Groups, who I trust, that's who I go to for my gold
10:28purchases and transactions. The price of gold increases when investors, countries and central banks purchase
10:33gold for stability and when there's money printing going on everywhere, inflation.
10:37So that's going to keep happening.
10:39Birch Gold can help you convert an IRA or 401k into an IRA and gold,
10:43no matter how many years you've had it.
10:44Text my name, Buck, to 98 98 98.

10:49A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
10:51Text my name, B -U -C.
10:52to 98 98 98 text buck to 98 98 98 now uh we also have
11:00this aoc soundbite that everyone's talking about of her making a mess of things uh
11:08abroad talking about she didn't even answer the question all about taiwan should we should
11:13the u .s defend taiwan of china invades i feel like she has no idea
11:16what's going on i feel like she doesn't understand uh international relations at all but
11:21and that's not some rogue take from me i think a lot of people feel
11:25that way does it matter do people care if you if they like the way
11:31you seem on social media and they like your persona in politics today as a
11:36democrat danielle can you be dumb and it just doesn't matter because i could think
11:40of some very dumb democrats who are going to run for president they're going to
11:43do quite well maybe it doesn't matter maybe we need to rethink this yeah i
11:49mean i think that she's just so much like kamala harris now she just has
11:53the word salads i actually thought she was a little bit more talented than kamala
11:57harris before but i feel like she's really taken a nosedive she's gotten like a
12:00lot worse honestly um i guess there's her there's jasmine crockett i guess all the
12:05democrats are going to compete with each other over who's the most who's the most
12:10left but then also who's the most crazy so i i i don't know at
12:15this point what would draw someone to that but i guess on the left who's
12:19going to be the democrat who's going to be the democrat nominee who's going to
12:24be the democrat nominee come on newsom is the most like yeah that's what i
12:28say going for it he really wants it he's really put himself out there um
12:33obviously he's been a horrible governor of california but the democrats seem to like that
12:37he takes trump to task and things like that i just i just don't see
12:42how they can run kamala again even though i think some of the you know
12:46online polling kind of shows that she's up there but i just don't think they
12:50they'll run her again i aoc i guess they could run her that'd be awesome
12:54because i just don't see how she could ever potentially win anything yeah clay and
12:58i have a bet over whether kamala will run i said i'm like i don't
13:01think she's gonna run because she was so horrible but somehow she has the name
13:04recognition and the delusion i think that she may run again now i might have
13:08to buy clay a steak which is going to drive me nuts because i i
13:11should be winning all of our bets um but she is terrible if she runs
13:15the good thing is i think republicans are in a great spot if she becomes
13:18the nominee are in a great spot to to win in the next election are
13:22you uh are you endorsing or picking anybody in the texas primary coming up or
13:26are you staying out of that one the texas prime like the senate race or
13:31ag senate any of the above yeah it's your senate race uh no have not
13:37have not gotten involved in those but early voting's already started already voted and um
13:42so our primaries are really early they're already underway right now and i think it's
13:47going to be potentially two runoffs honestly um for both races the center race and
13:53the ag race so i am excited to see who makes it to those and
13:57we're moving all over the place on topics here today what is the best but
14:01unexpected thing about being a mom oh wow the best but most unexpected thing um
14:10gosh i feel like you before you have kids you think it's a certain thing
14:17and then once you have kids you realize it's totally different but it's so much
14:20better than you thought it was going to be so it's actually great so i
14:23would say everything is basically it was unexpected for me anyways um i would say
14:28the best most unexpected thing is probably just all the things that when you don't
14:32have kids you think oh that might be annoying maybe that gets in the way
14:35of my adult life it's actually kind of just awesome because you realize you didn't
14:39really want those other things anyways so i think it's just kind of a new
14:43identity um especially for um the moms because the baby like needs you so much
14:50and you want to take care of the baby a lot so i just feel
14:53like it's it's actually a great change in your identity as a person because you
14:57can just really focus on your kids and focus on your family and even when
15:02you're married before you have kids you just don't have that like full re like
15:08shift of identity in that way yeah i i really am happy to hear you
15:12say that because before i had a kid first of all i've been talking about
15:16these things for a long time on the radio just these different kinds of issues
15:20about a whole range of things and one of them would be i would say
15:24i don't know why people for example uh let their kids misbehave so much in
15:28public or even like bring a baby that's hysterically crying to like a quiet romantic
15:33restaurant on a friday night at eight o 'clock and i would always have these
15:35people who would write in things or you know call in to yell at me
15:38on radio and be like just wait till you have kids well now i've had
15:40a kid for 10 months and i can tell you i've never done that i've
15:43never i've never actually brought him now i'll bring him to a restaurant we'll bring
15:47him to restaurants but if he gets so fussy that we can't i'm either taking
15:51him out or i'm taking him home i'm not going to sit there and let
15:53people try to you know eat their uh you know eighty eighty dollar filet mignon
15:58or whatever uh which is what it costs here in miami beach while my baby
16:02is crying his head off so i feel like people create a lot of excuses
16:05for themselves which i don't i just think that that's become very apparent to me
16:09but the other one and this is people take a negative view of some of
16:12these things the other one is people like oh it's so much work and i
16:15sit here i'm like you know if you tell us if you're like encouraging someone
16:18to go to the gym which is going to have great health effects for them
16:21and a whole range of things yeah like it's going to be hard but of
16:25course like it's good i don't know i just think that there's a weird oh
16:29just wait till it happens like your life is never going to be the same
16:32in our culture where people are trying to convince you that having kids is this
16:36almost like this burden and i'm sitting here and i'm like my only regret i
16:40wish i had five kids like i wish i had the time with my wife
16:43to like try to pop out five of these little guys or gals and i
16:47just think it's and we just need more people to realize the truth of what
16:50you just said which is the biggest surprise is that you were excited about it
16:54it's good and you really wanted this more than anything and it's even better than
16:56you thought it would be i feel like that's the lesson that parents should know
17:00they're in for as long as they approach it with love in their hearts and
17:02the right attitude yeah totally it's like there was some like meme circulated on x
17:07where i don't know some woman was like i don't have kids so i can
17:12go to italy and eat pasta and all this stuff and some other woman would
17:15be like oh but i you know can do both of those things so it
17:19works great another one's like you know and i guess i would just say that
17:22even if you can have both of those things the baby is so much better
17:25than your trip or the or the dinner example or any of those things so
17:29yeah you know that's great if you can take your kid to dinner but also
17:33you never want to give up having kids or all those things so that you
17:37can go to dinner um so sometimes i think those things are like pitted against
17:41each other it's almost like compared where you can you know kind of have both
17:47or have one or the other and i think there's just like a hierarchy of
17:50goods and having like a beautiful marriage beautiful family all those things is just going
17:56to be so much more fulfilling in life than a lot of the side fun
18:00things yeah it turns out that avocado toasted brunch isn't the timeless necessary exercise uh
18:08that some people are led to believe in their like 20s and maybe into their
18:13early 30s like it's okay you can actually still eat toast and avocado while you
18:17have kids in fact and it tastes good yeah all good all right well thank
