2:09Thank you guys for being here.

2:11Okay, I have a very smart audience.

2:13Last week, I got an email from a listener who said, hey, is anyone feeling

2:17sorry that they voted for Spamburger considering how left -wing she's been and she ran

2:22as a moderate? Well, at the time, I didn't have any data to go through,

2:25but now I do and I want to go over that.

2:27That's part of the interview that I have with the show with my friend Amber

2:30Duke, very smart, very smart person from the Daily Caller.

2:34But first, I want to go over two very important things.

2:38There are times where it's hard to get stories for the podcast together, and then

2:42there's times where I have more information that I want to give you than I

2:46possibly can in just one show or in, you know, just three shows a week.

2:51We're at that point. I mean, I could do a full three -hour -long episode

2:55right now, but I'm going to break it up, obviously, today and then Friday's episode.

2:59Friday's episode is going to be all about the new census birth data that came

3:01out and the new immigration data, and it is rich with information.

3:11But this episode is great, too.

3:12Okay. News story from the New York Times with Jonathan Swan, very smart reporter, and

3:18Maggie Haberman. Who else is a smart reporter?

3:21I don't want to shade Maggie.

3:23But Swan, I've gotten to meet several times, and he's very, very bright.

3:27Okay. The New York Times talked about Trump's decision for war with Iran.

3:33Without going through the entire article, because there's not a word that should be missed,

3:37but the crux of the position is that February 11th, there was a meeting between

3:42Bibi Netanyahu and President Trump and his inner cabinet.

3:45The press was not aware of it.

3:47They brought Bibi to the White House without the press's knowledge, and they had a

3:52secret indoor meeting where they presented a video about how to do regime change in

3:57Iran. There was a four -point plan offered by Bibi, and it said the first

4:02point was to kill the Ayatollah.

4:04The second was to cripple Iran's capacity to project power and threaten its neighbors, which

4:08obviously is a missile program.

4:10The third was a popular uprising inside Iran, and the fourth was regime change with

4:15a secular leader installed in the country.

4:17They even talked about the idea of the Kurds invading from Iraq.

4:22What's fascinating about this article is that they talk about the reaction from other people

4:27inside the meetings. First, CIA Director John Radcliffe told the president that goals three and

4:33four were farcical. Rubio said it was, quote -unquote, bullshit.

4:38Vance, who was not at that first meeting, he was at a second meeting.

4:42Vance said he was very skeptical.

4:44General Cain said, Sir, this, in my experience, is standard operating procedures for the Israelis.

4:49They oversell, and their plans are not always well -developed.

4:53They know they need us, and that's why they're hard -selling.

4:57And then Trump said that the regime change would be their problem, but he didn't

5:01specify who there was. It's either the Iranians or the Israelis.

5:06Either one would, I guess, take over for a regime change, the regime change part

5:10of the operation. President Trump thought, according to the report, President Trump said he thought

5:15it would be a quick war because of how quickly the bombing campaign was over

5:19the summer that took place, and he said that Trump's belief The Iranians could not

5:24close the Strait of Hormuz.

5:25The loudest voice championing the regime change was Pete Hegsgeff.

5:29He was really the big cheerleader.

5:32Rubio, when the decision got closer and closer to being made, Rubio was kind of

5:37ambivalent, and he wanted more time to negotiate with the Iranians rather than having a

5:42full -scale war. Susie Wilds kept her opinion really to herself on the report, but

5:46was very worried what another war would do and was very skeptical, but obviously supportive

5:53outright. Vance was the most skeptical and worried what instability would happen, and said the

5:59Iranians had the upper hand at closing the Strait of Hormuz.

6:02Just absolutely incredible reporting on the part of those two reporters and really shows how

6:10much of this decision for the war was Trump.

6:14And, you know, inside the Republican Party, there's so much conversations about Rubio and that

6:20Rubio is this war hawk and Rubio is this big champion of the war.

6:23This kind of throws a bunch of cold water on that notion that Rubio was,

6:28like, gung -ho about it.

6:29Rubio definitely projects strength and projects confidence, and he's a great Secretary of State.

6:34I'm not taking that away from him.

6:36But the narrative that this was Rubio's, you know, neoconservatism really pushing forward, not so

6:44much. It's really just Trump and Hegsgeth and Benjamin Netanyahu at the end of the

6:50day pushing for this war and believing it would be over so quickly.

6:54Fascinating reporting. I want to get more into it when they have a book coming

6:58out, Haberman and Swan, Jonathan Swan.

7:01So I want to talk about it when the book comes out.

7:02I get a chance to read it.

7:03Okay. The other thing I need to talk to you guys about is there is

7:07a new, terrible, bipartisan bill making its way through Congress, and it is the backing

7:13of 40 members of Congress.

7:1520 Republicans and 20 Democrats have put forward a new bipartisan immigration bill called the

7:21Dignity Act, which they said they swear, they say it, they swear.

7:25It's not an amnesty. It is not an amnesty.

7:27It's just a legal pathway to long -term undocumented immigrants.

7:32It's Congressman Mike Lawler from New York, Republican.

7:35He said this is not an amnesty.

7:36This is accountability. This is fairness.

7:38This is dignity. Ladies and gentlemen, that is what you call a lie because it

7:45is, in fact, an amnesty.

7:48Amnesty means you reward lawbreakers, i .e.

7:52illegal aliens, for breaking the law initially and then managing to go undetected, continuing to

7:58break the law, that same law, year in and year out, for sometimes decades.

8:03And now you want to reward the lawbreakers.

8:06I have Mike Lawler's cell phone number.

8:08I should call him and just have him on this podcast.

8:10But what I would like to know is, first and foremost, what other class of

8:15lawbreakers do you want to give the okay to and say, it's all right, everything

8:19that we did initially is okay, you're no longer going to go to prison.

8:23Is it drunk drivers? Is it people who scam elderly?

8:26Really, what other class of lawbreakers, aside from people who break into this country illegally,

8:32are you willing to treat with such fairness and kindness?

8:38And more importantly, and this is what goes kind of unthought about in conservative media,

8:45whenever Congress talks about giving an amnesty of any kind to illegal immigrants, it doesn't

8:52matter how many stipulations and loopholes and regulations there are with it, whenever they even

8:58have a serious discussion about it.

9:01What happens overseas in countries all around the world is human smugglers take those clips

9:08and advertise them to people and say, look, America's going to give you citizenship.

9:14Give me 8 ,000, 10 ,000, 20 ,000, whatever it is, dollars, and let's make

9:20another multi -billion dollar year business, that's what it was under President Biden, another multi

9:27-billion dollar business where human smugglers, the worst people on the planet, make profit on

9:34poor people's willingness and ambition to get to America.

9:38For whatever reason I want to get to America, I'm not going to judge them

9:40right now, but you not only reward lawbreakers living in this country, but you enrich

9:46human smugglers, every member of Congress doing this bill might as well write a personal

9:52check to a human smuggler living in Venezuela, living throughout Latin America, living through Southeast

9:57Asia and Africa. They are making them wealthier.

10:00It is disgusting. And I also want to, and by the way, that has happened

10:05in the past. Remember, Reagan's amnesty, which was intended for 1 million people, gave it

10:10to 3 million people because the minute the amnesty was seriously being discussed, they ran

10:16to the border as fast as they possibly could because they heard, we're going to

10:21get citizenship. Doesn't matter what they say, we're going to get citizenship.

10:25And yeah, Reagan's amnesty had stipulations and rules, but guess what?

10:29And this goes for the 20 members of the Republican caucus who are pushing this

10:33amnesty. All those rules are nonsense because the judiciary has tons of left -wing activist

10:40judges who will wave away every single regulation you can think of as discriminatory and

10:46that they don't need to follow it.

10:48I want you to remember something.

10:50The Reagan amnesty, which was for illegal aliens who had lived in the country continuously

10:57before 1982, it was signed in 1987, had a one -year window to apply between

11:041987 and 1988 to apply for citizenship.

11:09Because of the judiciary, because of liberal judges, guess the last year they actually had

11:15to apply for citizenship. 2002, that is how long judges found loopholes for 100 ,000

11:26here, 30 ,000 there. I mean, people who were not even in the country at

11:30the time of the amnesty got it because of that Reagan law.

11:34If this bill, this Dignity Act happened today, we would have judges putting forward retroactive

11:42loopholes for people who are not even in the country illegally right now until 2040.

11:49I want you to think about how horrendous the lie that they are telling is

11:56right now that this is not an amnesty.

11:58It is not only an amnesty, it is an amnesty for people who are not

12:02in the country that members of Congress who are supporting this bill, who are old,

12:07will be signing that will affect this country long after they're dead.

12:10Or who are supporting it, they're not signing it, they're supporting it.

12:13Like, this is what happens whenever Congress pushes forward an amnesty.

12:19Instead of saying, let's enforce the laws on the books as they are.

12:23So what does the Dignity Act do?

12:25This is, and I quote, I'm reading from the Dignity Act.

12:28It says, So, not only are they protected from deportation, they're granted an amnesty for

13:07deportation, they're given adjusted status, which they will then adjust to green cards, which they

13:12will adjust to citizenship. It may take a while, but they 100 % get to

13:15citizenship. But there's no numerical number.

13:18There's no cap. It could be 5 million.

13:21It could be 10 million.

13:22It could be 50 million.

13:23It could be any amount.

13:24There's no cap. They're not talking about, oh, just the 12 million that they estimate

13:28will be here or 15 million estimate will be here.

13:30There is no cap. And they say it's for anyone who was in the country

13:35before 2021. So it doesn't include the Biden wave.

13:38That's the Republicans' big giveaway for the Democrats.

13:41We're not going to include the Biden people.

13:44100 % they're going to get it.

13:45Because how hard is it to defraud the government when they're having to issue?

13:51Think about the immense work people in the government do, especially USCIS, which is not

13:56a huge office in the government.

13:58And they have to administer every visa applicant, every permanent resident applicant, millions and millions

14:03of applications. Flood them with 15 million more people.

14:07Give them a year to fill out 15 million more people and see how many

14:12have fraudulent documentation that they just made up, that they were in the country in

14:182020 when they weren't. They got here in 2023, 2024, whenever.

14:22And see how many of them will get through.

14:25It will be absolute widespread fraud.

14:28Somalian daycares will be more honest in Minnesota than the amount of fraud that will

14:34go on from this application process.

14:37Not only it does that, this is one of those things that sound good and

14:40people who have not thought constructively about the issue say, oh, that sounds wonderful, but

14:45it's actually horrendous. The bill also streamlines the green card application process for high -skilled

14:52workers and international college students.

14:54So they get a faster chance to become green card holders and then citizens, basically

14:59stapling a green card to the back of every diploma.

15:02Why is that a bad thing?

15:03Now you think, oh, wait, it's great because we have all these smart people here

15:07now and new scientists and new engineers.

15:09And, you know, let's take away the entire issue that we have with the AI

15:13revolution that we're having and that college educated people are not getting jobs as fast

15:17as they used to. And now they're in more competition with international students.

15:20Let's take away, you know, economics and modern news.

15:24Let's take that out of it.

15:25What it does, what stapling green cards to the back of diplomas does is it

15:30turns every college in the country into a green card mill.

15:36So all the failing colleges and colleges fail, you know, all the time.

15:41Bernie Sanders' wife ran a college.

15:43She used to run a college and she ran into the ground.

15:46She managed to make it go bankrupt.

15:48Socialists, right? But that happens all the time.

15:52Every one of these colleges, these D rates, C rate, you know, community college or

15:56not even community college, but small colleges, liberal arts colleges that aren't finding enough Americans

16:01to go to them. What they can do is go to international students and say,

16:05give me a hundred grand because you know what?

16:07Not only are you going to get a hundred grand, but you're going to get

16:09citizenship in the end anyway.

16:12You're giving me a hundred grand.

16:13And what you're going to need is to be a green card holder to the

16:15United States and a citizen within five to seven years.

16:18and then you could sponsor your whole family from Timbuktu, and they could all come

16:22here just as well. That is what stapling green cards to the back of diplomas

16:27does. It incentivizes more immigration fraud.

16:32And colleges, huge windfall. They could charge so much money because they get citizenship.

16:37It is a money mill for colleges.

16:40The same people promoting cultural Marxism to young people saying America's garbage, America's crap.

16:46Guess what? They're going to make tons of money from this.

16:49So human smugglers win. Bad colleges win.

16:52Failing colleges win. And there's more of high -skill workers in the middle of an

16:57AI crunch that will put more college -educated Americans out of work.

17:01Okay. Other features of the bill I want to go over very quickly.

17:05Preventing illegal aliens from... This is what this states.

17:08This is the bullet points that they gave out when they were doing press releases.

17:11It says they're going to prevent hiring illegal aliens to protect American jobs.

17:14That is already a law.

17:17And apparently, these 20 Republicans really don't like enforcing the laws on the book.

17:21So this won't actually... The current law is not enforced about protecting American jobs from

17:26illegal aliens. It's forced if you go through lawsuits.

17:29But it's already on the book.

17:30So that does absolutely nothing.

17:31It's just, you know, sugarcoating this crap sandwich that they're offering people.

17:37And I know I'm swearing a little bit more than I usually do because I

17:39never swear on this podcast.

17:40But I'm very irritated about this.

17:43It grants permanent residency for dreamers.

17:45Of course, you know, they haven't gotten enough.

17:48Anyone illegally in the country before 2021 qualifies.

17:51And once again, a liberal judge comes in.

17:53It's going to be anyone from the Biden years too.

17:56And then visa reform. And if you think that means ending visa abuse, you are

18:00wrong. It means it makes it easier for foreigners to get visas without returning to

18:05their home country to apply.

18:08Sponsors of the bill claim that high -skilled workers are in need.

18:12And once again, do not have any clue what's going on with kids coming out

18:16of college right now and how hard it is in most sectors of the economy

18:20for them to find a job at this exact moment.

18:25Here are the 20 Republicans sponsoring this bill.

18:29And if you live in their district, I want you to do me a favor.

18:33I never asked, besides liking and subscribing, I never asked for my listeners, do me

18:36a favor. Do me a favor and call these Republicans and tell them you, if

18:42you live in their district, don't call them if you don't live in the district.

18:44But if you live in the district, call them and say you will not vote

18:47for them in the general election, even if that means a Democrat wins.

19:23Marlon Stutzman, Indiana's 3rd district.

19:25Also a terrible member of Congress.

19:28James Bard, Indiana's 4th district.

19:30Don Bacon, he is retiring, so it doesn't matter calling him, but he's Nebraska's 2nd

19:33district. Mike Lawler, New York's 17th.

19:36Nick LaLoda, New York's 1st district.

19:38Mike Kelly, Pennsylvania's 16th district.

19:41Brian Fitzpatrick, Pennsylvania's 1st district.

19:44Lloyd Smucker, Pennsylvania's 11th district.

19:46Monica De La Cruz, Texas's 15th district.

19:49Jennifer Kiggins, Virginia's 2nd district.

19:52And Dan Newhouse is also retiring, Washington State's 4th district.

19:56Every one of these congressmen is in a district that Trump won campaigning on mass

20:01deportation, except for Fitzpatrick, Lawler, and Bacon.

20:05Every other one of them had Republicans go to the polls to vote for Trump's

20:10agenda of mass deportation. This is a betrayal.

20:13I am going to have to start a super PAC like I did with school

20:16board elections on immigration to oust people like this.

20:18I have no other choice because no one's doing anything, and they are stabbing Republicans

20:24in the back over and over.

20:26Some of these districts are so Republican.

20:28Lloyd Smucker, Nick LaLoda, Marlon Stutzman, Zachary Nunn, Neil Dunn.

20:35What are you people doing?

20:36Have you talked to a Republican this year?

20:40It is ridiculous. Okay, last thing.

20:43We're going to go to our main topic right now, and that is the what

20:46is happening in Virginia. Republican people in Virginia are starting to regret their vote for

20:53the Governor Spanberger, Virginia Governor Spanberger.

20:57It's not surprising. A new Washington Post Scholars poll found that Spanberger's poll numbers have

21:01fallen to 47 percent with 46 percent disapproving.

21:05She won, by the way, by double digits.

21:07She's underwater by double digits with Virginia exurbs, North Virginia, outside of Loudoun, Central and

21:14Western Virginia, and a statistical tie in Richmond and Loudoun.

21:18Not great. She's underwater with men, Republicans, voters over 50, and white voters.

21:23She's only tied with independents, young voters, Latinos, Asians, and voters with a college degree

21:29and white voters with a college degree.

21:31These are all groups she won by huge margins just six months ago.

21:35She's down by six points among very likely voters.

21:39One in 10 whose supporters say they have an unfavorable opinion of her.

21:44That's not enough for... Republicans to win, but that is a start.

21:49A plurality of voters think she is too liberal and her policies will make life

21:53more expensive for people living in Virginia.

21:56That is the truth. Her policies, Democratic policies, are making Virginia and turning into Maryland

22:01and all the other states that people are fleeing from.

25:14With me on today's episode to discuss everything happening in Virginia is my friend Amber

25:18Duke. She's the editor -in -chief of The Daily Caller.

25:21Amber, thanks for being here.

25:22Thanks for having me, Ryan.

25:23So we are looking at Governor Spamberger's poll numbers in the worst position any incumbent

25:31governor of Virginia has been in.

25:32Now, one of my listeners, Virginia is a very unique state in the sense that

25:36the governor can run for re -election, but not consecutively.

25:39Like, you have to take a break and then run again.

25:42So no governor of Virginia has ever been re -elected.

25:45So I guess that that kind of fear is over.

25:47But for a woman who won by such a large margin, you're seeing her poll

25:53numbers at the worst place it's been, even compared to Republican governors for a blue

25:56state. What have you experienced?

25:59I know you're a Virginia resident and you've been in Virginia for a while.

26:02What are you seeing as far as her message kind of falling apart and her

26:07political coalition falling apart? Yeah.

26:10So I live in Fairfax County and I've been a Virginia resident for 10 years

26:15now, actually this year. And what this Washington Post poll that you're referring to shows

26:22is that despite winning by double digits against the lieutenant governor, Winsome Sears, Spamberger has

26:30the worst approval rating among eight or nine of her predecessors.

26:35It's basically since the Washington Post started doing the poll in the early 1990s.

26:40She has 47 % approval to 46 % disapproval.

26:44And the common refrain that I hear from my fellow Virginia residents and just looking

26:50at the conversation that's been happening in the news media is that people feel like

26:54there was a rug pull moment.

26:56She campaigned on being a moderate, focusing on affordability.

27:00And yet as soon as she got into office in January, the very first thing

27:05she did was she revoked the program that required state police to cooperate with ICE

27:12on immigration enforcement. And we have heavy MS -13 gang activity in Northern Virginia.

27:18There was actually a top five leader of the gang that was arrested by the

27:22Trump administration in Woodbridge, just south of where I live last year.

27:27There's also been a series of illegal alien murders in Fairfax County that have been

27:33let off the hook prior to them actually allegedly committing the murder by the county

27:38prosecutor, Steve Descano, who is a Soros prosecutor, and just in general, a really big

27:45problem with illegal immigration. So that's number one.

27:49Then number two, her party takes control of the House of Delegates as well as

27:54the state Senate. They have majorities in both chambers of the legislative body, and they

27:59immediately introduce packages of legislation that are completely left wing from encounter to what Spanberger

28:07campaigned on. So we're talking about tax increases across the board on a variety of

28:12different items, whether it's entertainment, restaurants, small businesses, basically every facet of your life, your

28:19taxes are going to go up.

28:20That's not affordability. And then they also institute a whole bunch of green climate policies,

28:26things like you're not allowed to use a gas -powered leaf blower.

28:30And they also try to revoke tough on crime policies from the Young Kid administration.

28:36They want to get rid of mandatory minimums, three strikes laws, all of those things.

28:41So basically, any leftover policy that kept Virginia semi -sane and safe from the previous

28:49governors, even Terry McAuliffe wasn't this bad, frankly, is at danger of being overturned by

28:56the Democrats. And one final thing is that as they're doing all of this, including

29:00the soft -on crime refusal to cooperate on immigration enforcement, they also want to take

29:04away your guns. So if you're a legal gun owner in Virginia and you want

29:06the opportunity to protect yourself, that's also potentially going away under the Democrat rule.

29:12Yeah, and the interesting thing about this poll, especially found in the crosstabs, is high

29:16propensity voters, voters who voted in 2020, 5, 4, and 2, were the most, had

29:23the biggest objection to not only Spanberger, but her redistricting effort to make Virginia a

29:2810 -to -1 Democrat congressional state.

29:32You know, I had a political pollster or a pollster, but a consultant on this

29:38show many, many months ago, and he said off of the bat, Spanberger was plotting

29:44a presidential run, that Spanberger really wanted to run for president, that that was her

29:49goal. And this is, if this is about opposing Trump, she's doing a very good

29:55job. But it's like a checklist of, it's like, what is it, word gab or

30:02mad lips of like Democratic policies.

30:07Nobody wakes up in the morning and says, you know what I really am against?

30:10It's gas -powered leaf blowers.

30:14But it really is. And the Speaker of the House, the Democratic Speaker of the

30:18House in Virginia, she's like 83 or 84 years old.

30:23She is as far left as they come and is really, I think, she's really

30:29driving the ship, it looks like.

30:32It doesn't really look like Spanberger is as in charge as the most radical parts

30:36of the Democrats in the state legislature.

30:38And that's led to a lot of speculation from people that perhaps Spanberger is going

30:43to serve as the foil to the Democratic legislature and veto a lot of the

30:47crazier legislation that they're pushing through.

30:49The first test of that theory will be the gun control legislation.

30:55They basically sent a couple of bills to her desk that would have a huge

30:59impact on legal gun ownership.

31:01It would basically ban any AR -style rifle, including AR -15s, which are the most

31:06popular semi -automatic rifles in the country.

31:10It would also put magazine capacity limits, a bunch of restrictions on gun store owners.

31:18So basically, they want to ban guns without explicitly banning guns.

31:23They just want to make it really difficult to sell and buy them.

31:26And so I'm curious to see what Spanberger does with that.

31:29If she sends it back to them, they might be able to override the veto.

31:33But that could be an indication that maybe she's trying to play the moderate foil

31:38to the progressive Democrats in the legislature.

31:41But based on the fact that she has reversed this ICE policy, that doesn't seem

31:48super likely to me. And I think one helpful way to frame what's happening in

31:55Virginia is that if you are someone who works in downtown D .C., you basically

32:00have an option of living in a Maryland suburb or a northern Virginia suburb of

32:05the city. And I grew up in Maryland.

32:08There are red pockets still in that state, but everything surrounding D .C.

32:12is incredibly blue. So people who wanted to get away from the Maryland craziness typically

32:17choose to live in northern Virginia.

32:20And even though it is a very Democrat, heavily Democrat area, it wasn't quite as

32:25woke or progressive as the Maryland suburbs.

32:27That is quickly changing. And so for people who work in D .C., they're starting

32:31to run out of options.

32:33And I've heard a lot of people talk about potentially going to West Virginia and

32:37taking the train into the city because they really just feel stuck.

32:41where they can basically not have a less than one hour commute to their workplace

32:47and live in a place that is sane and common sense.

32:51Well, it's actually even crazy in that, you know, I have, I, I have property

32:55in Pennsylvania. I've been to Pennsylvania a lot.

32:58Lancaster now offers flights, direct flights to BWI and people have moved from DC to

33:06Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and they fly in.

33:08It's a really cheap flight.

33:10It's like 20 bucks. That's crazy.

33:11But it, but it is, if you don't have to be there every day, there's

33:14no sense of staying there and you could live in a much cheaper, much nicer

33:18part. So the urban sprawl of DC to everywhere else to get away from the

33:24insanity that is, you know, Montgomery County or Fairfax County and the prices is absolutely

33:31no joke. I want to talk though about, you know, in right now where president

33:36Trump's been very effectively cracking down on immigration and there has been self -deportations and

33:41we're looking at, um, blue States seeing an exodus and, and in a sense of,

33:47and I talk about this on the podcast a lot in 2030, we have this

33:50redistricting effort going on. California, New York, Illinois will lose almost a dozen seats between

33:54the three of them. Oregon's going to lose seats.

33:57Virginia is one of the few blue States that is really a larger blue States

34:01that is not in the same precarious situation that other blue States are.

34:05It would seem almost logical that they would not want to be in the place

34:11where that they are in, you know, in, in losing congressional seats.

34:14But the, what my, my, my question to you and the point of it is,

34:18is that when it comes to political power or just quality of life issues for

34:24a lot of Democrats, not for all of them, Jerry Polis is not like this.

34:27The governor of Connecticut is not like this, but for anyone with the presidential ambitions,

34:31you have to choose far left power.

34:35And what does that say about the democratic party?

34:38Yeah, it's a good question.

34:40And I think tying it back to this gerrymandering effort is really important because Spanberger

34:45has been full throatedly endorsing what the Democrats are trying to do on redistricting in

34:49Virginia with the aid of former president Barack Obama.

34:53They dropped millions of dollars to run ads with his face on them in Virginia.

34:57And yet I've got to say, even in Fairfax County, which is very blue, I

35:02see way more no signs than yes signs.

35:04To your point, going back to that Washington Post poll about high propensity voters, this

35:10redistricting is completely insane because not only does it switch the balance from six to

35:18five Democrat to Republican favor to 10 to one Democrat districts to Republican districts, but

35:25the way that it's actually being marketed to voters and the way that it appears

35:30on the ballot is so unbelievably unfair, ironically, because on the ballot, this measure is

35:37described as temporary, which most people would hear temporary and think, okay, it's just for

35:422028. Let's say it actually goes until 2030, when the new census is done, which

35:50is how this ties back into your question.

35:52And I think a lot of people don't believe actually that it's going to stop

35:57there anyway, because if Democrats don't get the results that they want out of the

36:012030 census, and Virginia does bleed voters from especially the Nova area, I think people

36:09feel like they're just going to go ahead and extend this 10 to one map.

36:13And I think that's probably what their plan is to keep control of power.

36:16And then the other part of it that's really important to note is that on

36:19the ballot, it describes this as fair maps.

36:23So voters don't get to see a picture of the map.

36:26They don't get to see what the new political balance is going to be.

36:29They just read on the on the ballot initiative, a temporary redrawing to have fair

36:35maps. And Republicans tried to amend that language during the legislative session to be more

36:44accurate about what was actually happening here.

36:48And the Democrat majority struck down that amendment so that they could say fair maps

36:52and Spanberger had nothing to say about it.

36:54So if she does have presidential ambitions, I think this is pretty clear that she

37:02is more obsessed with trying to go with the Democrat majority in their grabbing of

37:09power than she is as trying to govern as a sort of pragmatic moderate.

37:15You know, it's so interesting you said that because in the poll in the Washington

37:19Post poll, something like nine percent of voters or eight percent of voters said that

37:24the poll that the redrawing would be more fair for Republicans in the current map

37:28is. And I and I just was like and like something like eight percent or

37:32nine percent of Republicans support it.

37:34Now that could be Barbara Comstock, the former Republican congresswoman who's now full blown, you

37:41know, Trump derangement syndrome. But it's more likely a lot of confused voters who just

37:45think that this would be, you know, the idea of fairness is something that's almost

37:49sacrosanct to a lot of Americans and they innately believe in it.

37:53And they've been lied to so thoroughly.

37:56I wonder what the political ramifications going on is given that high propensity voters are

38:03so opposed to this. Democrats only have a one seat majority in the state center.

38:08Democrats only have a one seat last night.

38:08Democrats only have the two seats in the same seat come in front of significance

38:08like a And the state Senate elections are not this year.

38:11I think they're at the following year.

38:13Are any Republicans trying to seize on this?

38:16Because also Glenn Youngkin has been completely MIA.

38:19He's the most popular Republican in the state, and he's nowhere to be found against

38:23this measure. Yeah. So I have not heard about what Youngkin is doing, but I

38:28do know that former AG Jason is working with, I believe it's called Virginians for

38:33Fair Elections, which is launching a grassroots counter effort to this campaign by the Democrats.

38:40The Virginia GOP is also involved in working with MIA's group, as is the Republican

38:46National Committee, but they're keeping it relatively quiet, right?

38:50They want to route this through third -party groups that are local to Virginia because

38:53what would be a death knell for the Republican effort to defeat this would be

38:58making it more about Trump.

39:00They don't want the perception that the president is railing against the Democrats' quote -unquote

39:05fair maps because that gives more cover to the Obama -Spanberger -backed persuasion effort.

39:11And to hammer that point that you brought up about voters being confused, the competing

39:16signs that are being shared around Virginia and showing up in people's yards, the ones

39:22that are for the gerrymandering say, vote yes for fair maps.

39:26And the ones that are against it say, vote no to rigged maps.

39:31So that's like the level of distillation and messaging that we've gotten to.

39:36And it's really going to come down to the ground game.

39:38Now, the high propensity poll is really important here because what do we know about

39:44special elections and midterms? It's the high propensity people who show up.

39:48And it's one of the things that's plagued the Trump Republican Party is that a

39:53load of mid -prop voters who show up for him in presidentials don't show up

39:56in special elections and midterms.

39:58Well, if high propensity voters are the ones who are more likely to oppose this,

40:02and they're the ones who are most likely going to vote on this, Democrats are

40:06starting to get worried. And I will tell you that my conservative and Republican friends

40:12who are working on this on an activist level and on a grassroots level have

40:17started to notice that the Democrats are pouring more money and resources into this fight

40:22because they are starting to panic a little bit.

40:25The early mail -in ballots were not breaking quite the way that they hoped.

40:30So if I had to give you a prediction right now, you didn't ask for

40:33one, I'll give you one anyway.

40:35If I had to give you a prediction, I would say it's more likely than

40:39not that the redistricting passes, but it's going to be a lot closer than people

40:45anticipate. Yeah, I've been breaking down the data as it comes in precinct by precinct.

40:50And Obama has been extremely effective at bringing out lower black.

40:55Virginians love Obama. Do they?

40:58Yeah, it's crazy. Well, he's been immensely effective at that.

41:03Now, the one thing that changes things a little bit is, and this is very

41:07niche, but they have something called satellite voting.

41:09And basically, they have a lot of satellite sites where you can go vote in

41:13person throughout Virginia. For whatever reason, a number of northern Virginia counties that are Democrat

41:19reduce their satellite voting sites and turnout is down substantially in those satellite voting sites.

41:25So who knows what that is?

41:27So far, early voting is higher in this election, even in the governor's election.

41:32It will be very, very, you know, interesting what it says.

41:36And if it fail, if it passes, they're still going to go to the courts,

41:39which maybe is what they're always hoping for.

41:42Maybe that's what the former AG is hoping for, is to go to the courts

41:45and went to the courts.

41:47But it does tell of a real division within the state that overwhelmingly supported an

41:52entire Democratic slate just six months ago.

45:13Can you explain why Congress doesn't pass simple bills?

45:15Why does every bill have, like, 30 different things in it?

45:18For example, the SAVE Act, a lot of Democrats say they support voter ID, but

45:22just not the extreme SAVE Act, which includes passports for verification and requires cleanup of

45:27voter rolls. Why not start with a simple driver's licenses and have a vote?

45:31See if it passes. Then another portion of the bill can move on.

45:34Why do not put a vote for not counting illegals in the census?

45:38I feel like it's a 90 -10 issue.

45:40People do not realize that illegals are counted.

45:43Great question. Okay, so first of all, Republicans did do that with the SAVE Act.

45:47They did pass a simple driver's license to show voter ID law without all of

45:52the rest of the SAVE Act in it, and it failed.

45:54It failed 53 -47. Every Democrat voted it down, including Fetterman, who always likes to

46:00pretend he's a Republican when time suits him.

46:04But they all voted for it down.

46:05So they did that. Their opposition is not about changing the last name or the

46:10passport or all the other stuff.

46:12That is for the cameras.

46:14They don't want voter ID because they want people who are either illegally in the

46:20country or don't register on time or voting for somebody else.

46:25All the other things going to vote.

46:27When you live in New York State, which I have voted in for my entire

46:32life, if you show them your picture ID, they will say, please don't show me

46:36that. All you have to do is just sign the correct way.

46:39Now, some people who are more judicious in what they do, the poll watchers, they

46:45will say this doesn't match the signature.

46:46A lot of them don't.

46:48And, you know, everyone, people always say that elections are stolen because of illegals or

46:55because of the mail -in vote or whatever.

46:59Typically and historically, how elections have been stolen in the past, there have been a

47:03few local elections who have been stolen.

47:05Like there's one in Connecticut where it was the mail -in voters.

47:07Typically what it is is that polling sites that are in apartment complexes or in

47:13the projects where there's a lot of black voters and not extremely judicious voter ID

47:20regulations, they will have them all go vote at the end of the day and

47:25they'll just start polling people.

47:26And when they don't poll people, they will have other people vote for them.

47:30I mean, this is what I've heard from old school political consultants, many of which

47:35are dead now. But that's how they stole elections back in the 70s and 80s.

47:39OK, next question. Chris from Cincinnati.

47:41Ryan, thank you for being consistent voice railing against data centers.

47:44Check out this horrible story.

47:45He sent me a story that was insane.

47:48There is a data center going up at a it's it's a mobile home camp

47:53in in the place of mobile camp in Kentucky.

47:56These are all Republican voters, lots of elderly, lots of veterans.

48:00And they are they have three months to find a new home.

48:04And it was heartbreaking. It was from Lex 18 dot com.

48:07It's called the Meadowland Village Residence.

48:09If you want to listen, read it.

48:11It is terrible. The Democratic governor is not doing anything for these people.

48:15My guess is that they did not support him.

48:17They probably are all Trump voters or mostly Trump voters.

48:20I looked at where the map is and it's a very red area.

48:23So heartbreaking, really genuinely heartbreaking what these data centers are doing.

48:27And it's more bad press that they should be working to get positive press, given

48:32how many people are annoyed by the A .I.

48:34stuff. OK, last question for this podcast.

49:12Again, with the Democratic Party becoming so radical, my big fear is in 2028 and

49:16beyond, it's if they win back in the House and the Senate and the White

49:18House, they will nuke the filibuster, pass an amnesty, open the borders back up to

49:22more third -world migrants, pack the Supreme Court and mid -D .C., Puerto Rico and

49:26Guam Estates, ban voter ID.

49:28While this scenario would obviously be extremely bad, do you agree with Anne that it

49:31would be completely over for us, or do you think that there is still a

49:35path forward? If yes, what does that path look like?

49:39And if no, should we consider a national divorce?

49:42I'm in my 20s and trying to stay optimistic about the future.

49:55Do I think that it's over?

49:58If an amnesty goes through, it is, basically.

50:03I mean, it'll takes a while to happen, so it won't happen immediately, and they

50:07have to process it and then apply for citizenship.

50:09It'll take a couple of years, but yeah, I mean, there's never been an election

50:14in our history where a majority of Latinos voted for Republican.

50:19There's never been a modern election where a majority of Black voters.

50:23There's some data that says a majority of recent immigrants voted for Trump in the

50:282024 election, and maybe that's true.

50:31Is it over, over, you know, I don't know, like, there have been election cycles,

50:35and there have been news cycles that, like, Millet wasn't supposed to win in Argentina.

50:40That's a socialist country. And there have been other victories that shouldn't have happened that

50:45did happen. So, is it impossible for another victory to happen?

50:48No, nothing is impossible, right?

50:50And I want to put that in there.

50:51But it will be very, very, very difficult.

50:55The stack, the cars are stacked so heavily against Republicans.

50:59If Reagan, or Reagan 1980, or if Bush in 2000 had to run with the

51:06demographics of America today, and so the Democrats they ran in, they would not have

51:10won. It's a much, I mean, demographics have changed this country profoundly, and it made

51:18it much harder for Republicans.

51:19That's why, honestly, Trump's probably a more skilled politician than all of those other people,

51:23because winning in this cycle is much more difficult.

51:27What is, should we consider a national divorce?

51:29No, national divorce is so stupid.

51:31We're not going to get anything from a national divorce.

51:33They always talk about this.

51:35At the end of the day, no one really wants to live in a nation

51:38of California or Texas. They want to live in America.

51:43The best bet, and I mean, this sounds like hokey, and this sounds like it's,

51:47you know, I'm taking points from like Glenn Beck or whatever, but this is the

51:50truth. You want a federal government with extremely limited powers.

51:53You want an ability to have state governments that have the most amount of powers.

51:57This is why the founders set up the country like this.

52:00At the end, you know, in the beginning of the presidency, at the beginning of

52:03the country, presidents did not have that kind of robust influence the way they do

52:08now. Certainly Congress did, and all the way through the 19th century.

52:12You want more limitations on it, and the good thing that Trump did is that

52:16the judiciary is very conservative right now, so a lot of things could possibly get

52:21stricken down, and we'll have to kind of wait and see.

52:26I mean, the amnesty thing is very, very dangerous.

52:28The other good thing that Trump is doing right now is, yeah, these mass deportations

52:33is not deporting 20 million people like people think it would, but self -deportations are

52:37also happening. You see it in the birth data.

52:40You see it in the housing data.

52:41You see it in the economic data.

52:42It's so evident that there are less foreigners living in this country today than there

52:46were. That has to continue for four years.

52:50That's why I tell you guys all the time, don't take the pedal.

52:54Don't take your foot off the pedal for whatever happens.

52:57I don't care how many negative stories there are about ICE.

53:00We have to dwindle the illegal alien population to as close to nothing as possible

53:05because then an amnesty doesn't do anything.

53:08And that's really the goal.

53:10But yeah, the Democrats are, and you see in the Virginia election that's happening right

53:14now, Virginia Democrats are about absolute power at all times.

53:19They are everything that they accuse Republicans of.

53:23I just, you need to know that they are everything that they accuse Republicans of.

53:26So 2026 really matters. 2028 is a huge deal.

53:31We have to get to the 2030s because in the 2030s, if we can keep

53:35the Republican presidency in 2020, even if we lose the Senate, even if we lose

53:39the House, or we need one or the other, we need the House and the

53:42Senate, we need some kind of combination.

53:44If we make it through the 2030s, the map changes, California, New York, Illinois, Oregon,

53:52they lose so many seats that Democrats have to run inside baseball.

53:58You guys know I don't like sports.

54:00Whatever that term is, an inside flush, an inside home run, whatever the hell it's

54:04called. They have to run a perfect game to win the presidency because they need

54:09Georgia and Arizona. They need North Carolina.

54:13The amount of blue states losing electoral power is so profound that it really hurts

54:17them throughout the entire decade.

54:19And there's probably no going back after that.

54:21Anyway, that's your positive thing.

54:22We got to get through the next five years.

54:24We're going to make it.

54:25I promise you, Trevor, it's all OK.
