1:00We have some things to talk about, like new jobs report.

1:05Not good. Not a good jobs report.

1:07We'll discuss a little bit.

1:0892 ,000 jobs lost. Now they're going to revise this.

1:12It could change. I get all that.

1:14But, obviously, any economic news that is not...

1:18If it's fantastic economic news, the media doesn't want to talk about it because they

1:22don't want to give Trump credit.

1:23And if it's even a little negative, it's all they want to talk about when

1:29it comes to the economy.

1:30So, we're going to look at that a little bit.

1:32We're going to look at that.

1:33We've also got the aftermath of the firing of Kristi Noem by Trump from DHS.

1:40DHS, it was a long time coming.

1:42It should have happened months and months ago, quite honestly.

1:45But there's a lot of back and forth over this.

1:48We may be joined by...

1:49Do we still have Senator Kennedy on the docket team?

1:52Senator Kennedy of Louisiana, who was involved in that hearing, he's coming on the show.

1:57We're going to talk to him.

1:58We're going to talk to the good senator from the great state of Louisiana about

2:02the situation with... Well, Iran, first and foremost, and DHS.

2:07But look, there's... The single biggest thing happening right now is the U .S.-Israeli aerial

2:17campaign against Iran and now against regional proxies of Iran.

2:23There have been strikes in the southern suburbs of Lebanon.

2:33Lebanon, so that is interesting.

2:36Lebanon is at a tipping point as it seeks to curb Hezbollah's influence.

2:40The country is waiting to see if the government seizes on this moment to disarm

2:43the Iranian -backed armed group and how the militants will respond.

2:49So Israeli military pounding Hezbollah on the southern edge of the Lebanese capital.

2:55This is just worth noting because they're going after, we're going after.

2:59We're with the Israelis on this.

3:01We are allies in this mission.

3:03That is the reality of the situation.

3:05So it is a we situation.

3:08And we're going after Hezbollah, a primary proxy army of the mullahs in Tehran.

3:17And, man, are we pounding the Iranians, Iranian regime, not Iranian civilians.

3:24But we are pounding military assets and government assets hard.

3:29This is, in fact, Trump speaking about this.

3:32This is cut one. You can hear it from the commander -in -chief.

3:35Play it. The United States military, together with the wonderful Israeli partners, continues to totally

3:47demolish the enemy far ahead of schedule and at levels that people have never seen

3:53before, actually. We're destroying more of Iran's missiles and drone capability every single hour, knocking

4:01them out like nobody thought was possible.

4:05As soon as they set off a missile, within four minutes, the launcher gets hit.

4:11They don't know what's happening.

4:13And they're calling. They're saying, how do we make a deal?

4:16I said, you're being a little bit late.

4:17And we want to fight now more than they do.

4:23Trump has said, no Iran deal now without unconditional surrender.

4:28Once again, calling on all members.

4:32So what we have here is an escalation and a line in the sand.

4:40President Trump has had enough of the Iranians, the mullahs, the IRGC, playing all these

4:49games, pretending like they want to negotiate when really they just want to stall.

4:55Certainly when Republicans like Trump are in office, they want to stall.

4:58Democrats will make concessions and stupid deals.

5:01But with Trump, they're trying to just play games and play for time.

5:04He decided enough is enough, and there's no need to sit and wait for Iran

5:10to improve or expand upon its ballistic missile capability, which I might add was always

5:16left out of that disastrous Obama deal.

5:20Remember the Obama -Iran deal did not cover ballistic missiles, so the Iranians were free.

5:24to build up those stockpiles and as we have seen those stockpiles are now being

5:30dramatically reduced by the uh air campaign it is incredible the efficiency the technology the

5:38skill the precision with which u .s planes and israeli planes are able to we

5:47don't just have aerial superiority we are dominating their airspace we are the airspace now

5:52have complete and total control over it and it did not take very long so

5:58you can pick any targets you want to hit now the big question becomes as

6:04we have discussed who is going to take over who is going to be in

6:08charge of this country or really perhaps a caretaker regime for a transition to what

6:17we would like to have democratic elections i'm sure uh and so that is people

6:23keep asking me like how do i think this is going to go i think

6:27if there was a clear plan we would already know what the clear plan is

6:30this is a little bit of uh kentucky windage you could say this is a

6:37little bit of just let it fly got to figure this one out as we

6:40go but trump decided the alternative was worse here he is saying to all members

6:46of the security services just put down your arms full amnesty that is the way

6:52forward play cut to once again calling on all members of the iranian revolutionary guard

6:58the military and the police to lay down their arms they're only going to be

7:02killed and now is the time to stand up for the iranian people and help

7:05take back your country you're going to have a chance after all these years to

7:11take back your country accept immunity we'll give you immunity and we'll be uh giving

7:17you really the right side of history because that's what it is so you'll be

7:21perfectly safe with total immunity or you'll face absolutely guaranteed death and i don't want

7:28to see that it's true one of the components of this that is different from

7:38even what we were dealing with 20 years ago the intelligence apparatus that we and

7:46the israelis can bring to bear on iran from the sky electronically and otherwise and

7:52on the ground is such that we can take anybody out trump is just taking

7:59anybody out that he chooses to that gives you a lot of leverage one of

8:05the challenges of air campaigns in the past has been you always needed people with

8:10guns to go door to door house to house and pull the other guy out

8:15of his out of his fighting position out of his foxhole so to speak i

8:19mean that that's part of this but if we are so capable that we can

8:26take out anybody we want any member of the leadership i mean here you go

8:29israel just says this is an update the israeli military destroyed a bunker used by

8:36iran's supreme leader in a new onslaught they're just taking apart the entire military infrastructure

8:42of of iran right now that's and there's nothing the iranians can do about it

8:47there's nothing the mullahs can do there is no uh you know secret super weapon

8:53option that they have and i wonder how long this continues before it's clear that

9:00they're not really in charge of their own country if you can't control your airspace

9:04and you can't keep any leadership alive without the say -so of the united states

9:09and israel are you really in control so we are entering a a new phase

9:15remember this brings together drones it brings together surveillance technology that's even beyond people would

9:22ask me like what do you think they have guys i've been out i haven't

9:25had a clearance in over a decade now so there's all kinds of new whiz

9:30bangs that i read about just like you but the technology and the mapping capability

9:36and the human terrain assessments that they can do are way beyond what you could

9:43have done in the early 2000s when we went into iraq far greater precision uh

9:48the munitions are much more targeted and precise as well our ability to shoot things

9:55out of the sky that they try to fire at us is far better i

9:59mean you are seeing a dominant military performance on display right now we haven't seen

10:07anything really like it since persian gulf war one nothing that comes at this level

10:13and that was uh that was quite different in its own way so i think

10:18that the trump administration feels like this is going so far to plan and i

10:24think that they are having to do some improvisation as they move along to figure

10:30out who's going to be in charge people talk about the kurds the kurds are

10:35great in kurdish areas i'm very pro everyone i know who was u .s military

10:40in iraq everyone i know who is intel in iraq was tended to be very

10:44pro kurdish they fight they they are reliable in their own areas but they have

10:51limitations because you You take them out of Kurdish areas, and there are problems all

10:55of a sudden. All these old ethnic conflicts come together.

10:58So you got that help in Iran in some capacity.

11:02You got to figure out what you're going to do with the Persian, who's going

11:05to be the figurehead of the Persian majority.

11:07I don't know. People are saying some descendant of the Shah.

11:11That could be complicated. I don't know.

11:15If the administration was certain, I think they would have already started to lay out

11:19that plan for us. But I also believe that there's some wisdom in this approach

11:24of let's just, as Rubio said and I said it to you, defang the snake.

11:29Let's remove their capability to hit us or any of our friends and say, when

11:34do you want to talk?

11:35Let us know when you want to talk, Mullis.

11:37Your missiles are disappearing. Your stockpiles are getting blown up or entombed by our bunker

11:44busters. How much longer do you want this to go on for?

11:47We did try it the nice way.

11:50We tried it the nice way for a long time.

11:52And I would argue the Obama administration tried it the far too nice way, bending

11:56the knees, sending them pallets of cash, you know, whatever.

11:58We tried that for a long time.

12:02They weren't willing to play ball.

12:04They were playing games so that they could get to a nuke.

12:07It's very obvious. There's no reason for them to have caused all these problems if

12:12they weren't planning to get nuclear weapons.

12:15And then they wouldn't be in this position because there would be red lines.

12:20And I think we might have already, if Iran had nukes and we were doing

12:23to them what we've already done in the early days here, would they have fired

12:27them? Yes. People have been saying to me, Buck, do you think Iran would have

12:30fired nukes? I don't know as a first strike, but what we're doing now, yes,

12:35I think the mullahs probably would say we're going to take a shot at Tel

12:37Aviv. Let's see if we can hit it.

12:39Or Jerusalem or wherever. Well, probably Tel Aviv.

12:41But yes, I think the mullahs would do that.

12:44Now they can't. Now they can't.

12:47So we're entering a different phase.

12:48Things in Venezuela are already starting to move in a more positive direction.

12:52Look, we have to understand, Trump is remaking the world in an image of stability

13:00and safety in a way that a lot of people, including Trump voters, didn't anticipate.

13:05I didn't know he was going to do all this stuff.

13:08He didn't say he was going to do all this stuff.

13:10So far it's working. And we should all pray that it does work because it

13:14could be so enormously beneficial to all these different regions, whether it's Venezuela slash Cuba

13:21and what that would do for Latin America, for the Caribbean basin, what we see

13:25with Iran and the Middle East, the removal of these proxies and everything else.

13:29You know, these places don't have to be dysfunctional, problematic for the global community hellholes.

13:38It doesn't have to be that way.

13:40There are plenty of places that we don't sit around spending a lot of time

13:43worrying about. Plenty of countries.

13:46And this is bold stuff from the administration.

13:50There's no two ways about it.

13:52So I am just very hopeful that this will continue as it has been and

13:57that we'll start to see a coalescing of anti -regime forces coming together on the

14:08ground. We saw the protest movements, but this stuff is very hard.

14:11You know, it's think about it this way.

14:14Okay. You think that a new you think that a new government is possible in

14:18Iran. You hate the mullahs.

14:20When is it safe for you to go outside and start talking to people about

14:23this? When are you willing to join that march and think that you're not going

14:28to get mowed down by IRGC or besiege elements with PKMs, you and your whole

14:35family? This is tricky. This is tricky.

14:40So I think that's part of why Trump is saying put down your guns now

14:44because I can tell you this.

14:46If they start going after civilians, I think Trump is going to hit military elements

14:51even harder. And we're talking about blowing up barracks or whatever he's got to do.

16:56Big breaking news happened yesterday when VHS Secretary Kristi Noem was let go while we

17:05were live on the air near the end of the second hour.

17:08And a big reason why, I believe, this guy's questions of her on Tuesday.

17:13We are joined now by Senator John Kennedy of the great state of Louisiana.

17:18And, Senator, let's just dive in right off the top.

17:21What was your reaction when you saw that Kristi Noem was out?

17:26Were you surprised? Did you expect it?

17:28Take us into your process there as you came to see that news.

17:34I wasn't surprised. Look, I like the secretary.

17:42I think she did many good things.

17:46In fact, I started my questioning by congratulating her on her success in securing our

17:53southern border and implementing the president's plan, but there have been a number of management

18:00decisions and certain management behavior at the department in the last four or four months

18:07that I think have—they were really distracting from the president's agenda and our agenda.

18:17And the quarter -of -a -billion -dollar advertising campaign that featured the secretary prominently has

18:28always bothered me. I'm very opposed to spending porn.

18:35But anyway, my point is I didn't tell anybody.

18:38I didn't get anybody's permission.

18:42I just decided to ask the secretary some pretty tough questions.

18:47And when I asked her about the advertising campaign, I was a little surprised.

18:52That's why I asked her twice, that she basically said the president approved every bit

18:58of it. And I didn't believe that.

19:04That night, about 9 .30, I got a phone call from the president.

19:08He was mad as a mama wasp.

19:14He told me he had nothing to do with it.

19:18He wasn't aware of the advertising campaign.

19:20He would not have approved a quarter of a billion dollars.

19:25He wouldn't have approved no -bid contracts to allegedly the friends of the secretary.

19:32And I had a feeling that he was going to make a change.

19:37He ran a couple of names by me about new secretaries.

19:42He asked me for my opinion on a few.

19:46And that was the end of the conversation.

19:49But I could tell that in all likelihood that the secretary was, she was as

19:56dead as Woodrow Wilson. You know, I can tell when the president's made it up

20:00his mind. And he usually acts pretty quickly.

20:03Dead as Woodrow Wilson. I also wasn't surprised.

20:08I was just going to say, I was also not surprised at Mark Wayne, because

20:12we talked about Mark Wayne.

20:14And I told him, okay.

20:16We'll get into that in a sec.

20:17But when you say Trump was mad as a mama wasp, what does that sound

20:22like? You talk to President Trump a lot.

20:24What does that sound like when you get a call from the president and he's

20:27that angry? That conversation sounds like what?

20:30Take us into what that experience is.

20:34Well, he wasn't screaming or anything, but he was angry.

20:39I mean, I could tell he was angry.

20:41And he started off by saying, I hope you know that I would never spend

20:48this kind of money on something like that when we're scratching and clawing to try

20:53to reduce our spending and therefore reduce our debt.

20:58And, you know, he was very firm.

21:01I'll put it that way.

21:03But he wasn't screaming. But I could tell he was going to make a change.

21:09Senator Kennedy, can you tell us a little bit more about, first of all, how

21:15could such a huge, how could anyone think that such a huge budget for an

21:20ad campaign for a government employee, not the president, would do anything other than raise

21:28a lot of eyebrows? And then also, you mentioned this contracting.

21:32This seems like this is quite a messy thing.

21:35If there's money that is going, taxpayer dollars going in large sums to newly formed

21:43corporations right before they are doled out, what do we know?

21:47What do we know? about this and is there going to be further uh looking

21:50into this yes this is going to be looked at very carefully um i sit

21:56on the appropriations committee but even if i didn't uh when it comes to taxpayer

22:01money i'm pretty cheap guys i uh i was state treasurer of louisiana for 17

22:07years i squeak when i walk and when i see spending porn or what looks

22:13to me like spending porn i'm gonna call it out i don't care who who

22:17did it um these ads cost a quarter of a billion dollars um they figured

22:26or they featured rather the secretary probably you've seen them um she's on a horse

22:32in front of mount rushmore uh i think any fair -minded person would look at

22:37these ads and say well there could be a number of purposes but uh they're

22:43primarily uh to to uh promote the the secretary and uh i think in during

22:53during my questioning of the secretary i asked her i said did you bid these

22:57out i mean and she said yes and i knew that wasn't accurate um she

23:05she didn't get the names of the people who got this quarter of a billion

23:09dollars off dip recruiter i think some of them she knew beforehand and some of

23:14these were brand new companies i don't know all the details but uh i think

23:20what disturbed me the most from the testimony was that she you know uh she

23:25basically blamed the president and said you know he he okayed it and he didn't

23:31and uh uh you see the consequence now you're a lawyer i believe i'm a

23:39lawyer um you said the president said he didn't do it she said he did

23:45she said he did it under oath i mean to me when you say something

23:50that is untrue under oath i mean i think that sets off a lot of

23:53alarm bells for people out there do you think based on what you know that

23:58she lied under oath about this i i don't know as far as i'm concerned

24:03it's over with um we've and again i like the secretary she did many good

24:09things but we were at we've we've had a lot of management problems uh in

24:15fact if i i had only 10 minutes to question her i got to two

24:18subjects i had eight to talk to her about well can i to that end

24:22senator can i can i jump in there because another thing that's gotten a lot

24:26of attention to headlines is the allegations about the secretary not just having an extramarital

24:33relationship and their allegations and i know that she has denied them in the past

24:37but with somebody who's a special government employee so essentially traveling with her on taxpayer

24:43funded aircraft and going everywhere and in the chain of command that is the allegation

24:48was it fair for democrats to ask about that and is it true that the

24:52president was unhappy with her responses he and i didn't talk about that um he

24:59by he of course i mean the president i don't know if those allegations are

25:03true um that they they were raised by a number of people in our hearing

25:10they will look this is not likely to be over one of the things i

25:15wanted to talk to her about but haven't is management at the department has been

25:20obstructing their inspector general who works for us in congress and his job is fine

25:26waste and corruption and and and and that sort of thing and uh um i

25:33know he's going to continue to probe my guess is there will be others but

25:37but look this isn't is that a fair is it a fair question is it

25:40a fair question though senator to ask given that it that involves somebody who might

25:44be in chain of command in your estimation is that a fair question well i

25:49look i i don't you know i'm pretty libertarian guys but 90 of my philosophy

25:54is don't hurt somebody unless they're trying to hurt you first and don't take other

25:59people's stuff and leave me alone so i i don't really care that much about

26:03someone's um um sex life but now if it's a government employee for example in

26:10congress if uh if a if a congressman uh a woman has an affair with

26:15somebody who works for you it's it's illegal um but i my guess my guess

26:22is it's just a guess but it's not going to come from me this stuff's

26:26not going to go for a way for away for a while i would like

26:29to know uh about the quarter of a billion dollars that was spent and who

26:33got it whether we can recoup any any of it but again guys it wasn't

26:38personal i'm doing my job that is my job i consider this to be spending

26:42porn and i'm gonna call it out every single time and uh my experience with

26:50the president is that he doesn't like it either we're talking to senator no yeah

26:55you said he was mad i wrote it down because i love the uh the

26:58quote mad as a mama wasp let's talk about something positive because you started to

27:02talk about it a little bit earlier uh senator mark wayne mullin you said the

27:06president bounced a bunch of names off you potentially as as replacements for secretary noem

27:12what can you tell us we love mark wayne mullin he was on this program

27:15with it Tuesday now he's got a big promotion who knows maybe you'll get a

27:18big promotion after this interview too uh but Mark Wayne Mullen now head of the

27:22DHS as someone who worked alongside of him what should we know what kind of

27:26job do you think he'll do well um Mark Wayne's tough as a pine knot

27:32guys I I uh he a he's smart uh b he's tough c um he's

27:43a good businessman I told all this to the president he's a good businessman uh

27:49which means he's a pretty good manager and uh as I told the folks yesterday

27:53and d even if all things all those things weren't true I wouldn't say otherwise

27:58because because Mark Wayne would whip my ass I mean he he's like a cage

28:04fighter or something I don't know uh but I like Mark Wayne and I and

28:09I think he'll do a good job and I think he'll be easily confirmed um

28:13he he already has some ideas about some of the changes that he wants to

28:17make and and it's you know new blood doesn't doesn't hurt sometimes you've got a

28:26best -selling book Buck Sexton also has a best -selling book you guys have been

28:30on the New York Times bestseller list together what's it been like to be a

28:33best -selling author people are buying your book like crazy I'll let you pitch it

28:37not that you need I just I'm gonna say I I think senator has an

28:40unfair advantage with the audiobook with that accent I'm just gonna tell you I think

28:44it's unfair there should be like a different category for uh for charming southern accent

28:50audiobook but go ahead senator well man you you know it it took like 20

28:55hours to record that audio book oh my gosh uh I had no idea it

29:00takes on look the name of the book is how to test negative for stupid

29:03and why Washington never will Harper Collins was a publisher uh that wasn't my first

29:10choice for a title my first choice was uh have always be yourself unless you

29:15suck but they wouldn't let me use that type so we settled on this one

29:20you write a book it was a lot of work you know nights and weekends

29:26at my kitchen table and you you finish it and you have no idea what's

29:31how it's going to do um so I'm not trying to be humble here I

29:36mean honest to God I had no idea and I really was surprised I mean

29:40we might be on the New York Times bestseller list for 21 weeks and and

29:45um I'm I'm gratified I think it's because it's not a policy book it's a

29:51story book I use stories to talk about policy uh the stories are some of

29:56them are bizarre some of them are funny all of them are true um if

30:01I hope if you read the book I talk about my colleagues talk about what

30:04it's really like um if you read the book I hope it'll make you think

30:09um it may discourage you may may make you want a day drink but every

30:15every bit of it is true senator kennedy we appreciate you you always got an

30:20invitation on the program thanks for trying to take down the spending porn and by

30:25the way I'm a fellow vanderbilt graduate so it's always good to see vandy guys

32:13I believe it's in the north carolina senate the last I saw brianna was it

32:17came down to two votes um this is the state senate um and the save

32:23act now we've got uh ken paxton down in texas saying hey if you'll pass

32:28the save act I'll consider dropping out of this race uh because he wants for

32:33john cornyn to support it there's around 80 percent of voters who support this I

32:38know many people out there are frustrated what's the latest on it and how in

32:42the world can we not get basic voter integrity, vote with a license, vote with

32:47a photo ID, passed. Yeah, and I'm happy you brought up that North Carolina race

32:53because it is still down to two votes.

32:56And when you have elections that are literally decided by two votes, it doesn't make

33:00election security less important. It makes it more important.

33:04It makes things like the SAVE Act more important.

33:07Because remember, the SAVE Act would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote

33:12and then voter ID. Right now, the only thing standing between a non -citizen and

33:17our free and fair elections is a little square box in the federal registration form

33:21that says you attest under penalty of perjury that you're a citizen, aka the honor

33:25system. And that is absolutely not enough.

33:28And so when you look at races like this one in North Carolina, when you

33:31look at Mary Annette Miller -Meeks in 2020, she won her congressional race by six

33:36votes. Imagine if six non -citizens had cast a ballot in that race.

33:40That could have quite literally changed a congressional seat, changed the balance of Congress.

33:45That is unacceptable. And right now, you have leaders in the Senate, like Leader Thun,

33:49who is dragging his feet on legislation, like you said, that is popular nationwide amongst

33:55Republicans, Democrats, Blacks, Latinos, Whites, you name it.

33:58Everyone's saying this is common sense legislation, and yet it's not being done.

34:03What entirely is in the SAVE Act?

34:07I mean, you mentioned there's, it's clearly about election integrity, but what are all the

34:11different pieces that it contains?

34:13Are there any things that aren't getting attention that would be really important for election

34:18integrity? It's just people are talking about the SAVE Act.

34:21I think it's important that everyone also know what's in it.

34:24Yeah, and what the SAVE Act does, so there's the 1993 NVRA, the National Voter

34:29Registration Act. And what that does right now is it actually hamstrings the government from

34:34requiring proof of citizenship to vote, because I think it was 2013, the Supreme Court,

34:40I think, wrongly interpreted that 1993 law to prohibit states from requiring documentary proof of

34:47citizenship to vote. So if you think of Arizona, Arizona has two registration forms.

34:52You can prove that you are a citizen and vote in state and federal elections,

34:56but if you can't prove that you're a citizen, you can only vote in federal

35:00elections. And so what the SAVE Act would do is it amends that law.

35:03It fixes the problem we've had for 30 years and says, no, you have to

35:07require documentary proof of citizenship, right?

35:10States should not be sued by the Obama and Biden DOJs for trying to make

35:14their elections more secure. President Trump seemed to hint in a Truth Social post that

35:19he wanted to add no trans and kids maybe into the whole SAVE Act negotiations.

35:23I think that was a bit unclear, but right now the two biggest things, proof

35:27of citizenship to register and voter ID.

35:30And a lot of people will say, well, we already have safeguards.

35:32And they cite things like HAVA and HAV, which are early 2000s legislation.

35:37Do you know in a state like California, let's say you don't have your driver's

35:41license or your social security, right?

35:43And you have no identification.

35:45You can still register to vote.

35:47And you know how you get to prove your identity?

35:49Your gym membership. What protocols do you go to to get a gym membership?

35:54Nothing. You just take a picture in front of the little thing and they say,

35:56okay, here's your name. You can come to the gym and you can use that

35:58to verify your identity to vote.

36:00So our elections are so insecure.

36:02And when you have 20 million people in this country illegally, we can't take chances.

36:06Brianna, one of the things that I would just point out is the contrary argument

36:11does not exist, right? Because the argument is, well, it's racist to require voter ID.

36:15That's insane. As we, as you said, black, white, Asian, Hispanic people of all different

36:20backgrounds agree that you should have to have voter ID, photo ID to vote.

36:25So really, isn't this just an implicit acknowledgement from Democrats that they're cheating and worried

36:30that they might get caught?

36:32Because otherwise, none of the other arguments stand up.

36:35Yeah, there is no legitimate reason.

36:37And if you talk about, let's go over, first of all, the racism thing, right?

36:40Remember Jim Crow 2 .0 in Georgia?

36:42Boy, was that 2021? They told us that black people would never be able to

36:45vote again. CNN and the Washington Post actually did articles after the first big election,

36:51after our legislation went through.

36:52And they interviewed black voters who said it was actually easier to vote now than

36:56it had been in the past.

36:58They weren't encumbered. They weren't prohibited from voting.

37:00So that never actually manifested, right?

37:02It was just that rah -rah.

37:03Then you have claims that this will disenfranchise voters.

37:07And again, I bring it back to these smaller races that are decided by razor

37:11thin margins. Take this. In December, a woman from the Bahamas who is not a

37:16citizen admitted to the Georgia State Election Board.

37:19She has voted in multiple elections, not because she was trying to do something illegal,

37:23but she said, look, they kept sending me papers.

37:25I thought I was eligible.

37:26So I did it, right?

37:27It wasn't nefarious, but there was no security and safeguards to stop her.

37:31Imagine she had cast a vote in this North Carolina race and one other non

37:36-citizen did that, right? That would change the outcome of an election.

37:40That actually disenfranchises American citizens.

37:43So Republicans and Democrats who say, well, oh, well, this might disenfranchise people.

37:47Think about the Americans being disenfranchised by non -citizens voting.

37:51Speaking to Breonna Lyman of The Federalist, and Breonna, the folks who write in to

37:56us are saying, we got to pass the SAVE Act.

38:00It's critical to pass the SAVE Act.

38:01And we have a problem here, of course, which is, one, majority leader Thune does

38:08not seem willing to push for this.

38:10But even beyond that, without a 60 -vote threshold, there's the threat of filibuster, not

38:17an actual talking filibuster, that is assumed to be enough to shut this down.

38:22So that means that it doesn't get passed, right?

38:26So what is the best thing?

38:28Let's say we could get Majority Leader Thune to sit down right now with all

38:33of us. What should he do in this situation, given how important election integrity is

38:39and how much sense and how much support from the general public this SAVE Act

38:43has? Yeah, and Chip Roy actually wrote a letter explaining the talking filibuster, which is

38:50that, you know, Leader Thune has to basically call and have Democrats.

38:54They have to follow the rules and they have to talk.

38:56They get two times to talk each.

38:58Once they stop talking, they don't get to resume, right?

39:00And if Republicans were to enforce already standing procedures, Democrats would eventually just run out

39:07of time. And then you can hold a regular vote in which you would only

39:10need 51 votes to pass this legislation, which we know we have because Fetterman is

39:15on our side. And if a Republican is going to resign themselves to say, well,

39:19we, you know, we don't want to get rid of the filibuster, but we want

39:22this legislation passed, then they're admitting they're never getting it passed.

39:25Republicans are never in our lifetime likely going to get a filibuster proof majority.

39:30That is silly thinking. So what Republicans like Thune are saying is, well, I guess

39:34we're just going to have to settle for only doing things that Democrats want.

39:37But just remember something. Chuck Schumer has made it very clear when Democrats take back

39:41power, nothing, including nuking the filibuster, is off the table.

39:46When Democrats take back Congress, whether it's in 2026, 2028, whenever, they will do what's

39:51necessary to push their agenda.

39:52And I wish Republicans would have the appetite to do the same on legislation that

39:57is universally popular. This is not a 50 -50 issue.

40:00It is an 80 -20 issue.

40:02We're talking to Breonna Lyman of the Federalist.

40:04All right, everybody out there who's fired up about the SAVE Act, we are fired

40:07up. We want it to happen.

40:09But let me ask you about this, which is actually a very positive story I

40:13was reading about this week.

40:14There is now data out, and I believe you wrote about this or have talked

40:17about this as well, saying that if you vote Republican, particularly when it comes to

40:22DAs and the prosecution of violent crimes, the data reflects lives are saved because there's

40:28far less violent crime. Seems like kind of an important story that should get more

40:33attention. What did the data show?

40:35What does it tell us?

40:36And why is it significant?

40:38Yeah, yeah. This was data that was kind of, I feel like, hidden.

40:41And granted, you know, the Iran war started, so it didn't get buried.

40:45But what it shows is that despite people telling us that if you vote for

40:48a progressive prosecutor being compassionate and empathetic, that compassion comes at a very deadly cost.

40:54And what the study by a Vanderbilt professor and a Wellesley College professor found is

41:00that when you narrowly elect a Republican prosecutor over a left -wing counterpart, you see

41:05a reduction in deaths among young men, 6 .6%.

41:09That is not a drop in the bucket.

41:11That is a substantial decrease.

41:13And obviously, you know, you don't need to study, you know, to show this.

41:16But Republican prosecutors, they actually want to hold criminals accountable.

41:20They send them to jail, and most importantly, they levy consequences on these criminals that

41:26do come with the consequence of restricting their access to firearms.

41:30It reduces suicide among young men.

41:33It also reduces other forms of gun violence.

41:35And so you think to yourself, Democrats hate gun violence.

41:39Everybody hates gun violence. But Democrats also hate the Second Amendment.

41:42Instead of taking away the Second Amendment from law -abiding citizens, if you want to

41:45reduce gun violence, elect a Republican prosecutor.

41:48Tell your progressive prosecutors what they're doing is not only not working, but it's deadly

41:52and dangerous for people that Democrats claim they want to help.

41:55They want to help victims of gun violence.

41:57This is how you do it.

41:58Be a tough -on -crime prosecutor.

44:06The reason I was late, I flew up to D .C.

44:10I'm only up here down and back same day on my beloved Southwest Airlines.

44:15There's actually a really cool panel on the future of college sports.

44:21And I know a lot of you are big college sports fans, but basically as

44:26players have begun to be paid, it has created an absolute mess that I think

44:31most fans out there agree needs to be fixed.

44:35And this gets into the weeds a little bit, but it is going to require,

44:39if we want to fix it, I think congressional action.

44:43Now, I don't know if Congress can pass anything right now, to be frank, but

44:48President Trump, in addition to building ballrooms and victory arches and engaging in actions in

44:56Venezuela and maybe Cuba and certainly Iran, is trying to fix everything out there.

45:02And so people from Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, a lot of different people affiliated with

45:08college sports are going to be at the White House.

45:10I'm going to be on a panel.

45:11I think it's going to be carried live on Fox News at 4 p .m.

45:15Eastern. And the president's trying to put together a plan to solve many of the

45:19issues bedeviling college sports right now.

45:23And I'm going to be a part of it.

45:24So with my background in media and politics and law, hopefully I can be somewhat

45:29helpful. So that's what's going on.

45:30I'm going to go to the panel and then go home, pick up my kid

45:33at a lacrosse match, and head into the house for the weekend.

45:37But hopefully we can make some progress on trying to fix the mess that is

45:40college athletics right now. Well, I'm already hearing more about how here in Florida, because

45:45of our lovely climate and the ability to play outdoor sports pretty much year -round,

45:50that there's a surge in interest in kids going to essentially sports -first academies with

45:57the idea being you don't even have to go pro anymore.

46:00And it's not just about getting recruited to a college.

46:03You might be able to make seven figures.

46:05Now, you say, okay, well, maybe you can only do that for a few years.

46:08Yeah, starting out life in your early 20s, if you're making a half million dollars

46:12a year for, I think my first job I made 30 grand.

46:15So, you know, that's a pretty good deal.

46:18Look, the balancing act is going to be complicated because you want people to be

46:21compensated for their talent. I'm a capitalist.

46:24But I always say, and it takes people sometimes a minute to think about it,

46:28but in sports, the business is the competition.

46:32And the quality of the competition is what dictates the success of the sport.

46:37And so if you're creating competition that is not ideal and you're breaking the competitive

46:46balance in the process, in the long range, that is not a good solution.

46:50So got to figure this out.

46:51If people are curious about it, my Twitter handle, I laid out some of the

46:56complex issues on it. But a lot of our friends, Senator Ted Cruz is going

47:00to be there, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, President Trump, clearly,

47:06Eric Schmidt, Senator from Missouri, a lot of people that have an understanding of many

47:12different complex issues here, Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, who have had history in coaching.

47:16So I'm looking forward to it.

47:17I have no idea truly what to expect fully, but it'll be live at the

47:22White House. I'm looking forward to getting over there and seeing everybody in about 30

47:25minutes. So I'm going to be headed over there.

47:36morning, and I want to give credit to the group that wrote about this, but

47:41Bob Donnie has tried to lean into, I think what it's fair to say, a

47:48lot of negative connotations surrounding Jewish people.

47:52I think that's being very kind to him in New York City.

47:56And he has tried to argue, oh, that's just being misconstrued.

48:00That's being mischaracterized. I don't actually believe these things.

48:05Jewishinsider .com, a reporting site, has a story up.

48:10I shared it. I am retweeting it right now.

48:16Mayor Mom Donnie's wife liked many different social media posts celebrating the October 7th terror

48:25attack that led to 1 ,200 Israeli deaths and 250 people being taken hostage.

48:31Now, everyone out there who is married, I understand, and I do think it's fair

48:36to say, hey, husbands and wives don't agree on everything.

48:40I think it's pretty unlikely that there's very many husbands and wives where one of

48:44them says, yay, I'm so happy that Hamas killed a bunch of Jews, and the

48:49other one is the exact opposite opinion.

48:52So there are certain things where maybe husbands and wives, married couples, dating couples can

48:58differ, and all of you who have spouses can acknowledge this.

49:03Certainly my wife does not want to be held accountable for everything.

49:06I say, trust me. But I don't think there's very many couples where, again, would

49:12you sign on to this book?

49:13One of them is like, yeah, I'm so glad that a bunch of Jews got

49:17murdered. Let me go celebrate October 7th.

49:20And the other partner is absolutely horrified by that.

49:24I don't think that's very common.

49:25Donnie has not commented on this.

49:27It's his wife, not him.

49:28But she went on social media and liked a ton of celebratory posts for the

49:34murder of innocent Israelis on October 7th.

49:38I mean, he's horrible. She's horrible.

49:42Let me put it in this context, Buck.

49:44If Melania Trump had done this, do you think people would say, oh, President Trump

49:49had nothing to do with it?

49:52No. I mean, of course, the media would be all over it.

49:55I just this is what you get in New York when you have some communist

50:00that you decide you're going to put in charge of the city and he's going

50:03to have people around him who are who are anti -Semites.

50:07Keep in mind, there are Jewish New Yorkers who are very pro -Mamdani.

50:10They don't care about this stuff.

50:12They think that the hatred of Israel is somehow entirely separate from hatred of them

50:19as Jews. I can tell you, everyone I've ever heard talking about how much they

50:24hate Israel, especially remember, we're not talking about criticizing Israeli policy.

50:28You're celebrating October 7th. You hate Israelis.

50:31I mean, you want Israelis.

50:32You hate Jewish people. You hate Jewish people, too.

50:35And this is a very is very obvious, right?

50:37We don't need to play this game that they want us to play of like,

51:05They're fine with it. I do think, look, if we're going to play fair stakes

51:10here, if you paid attention when President Trump shared the the meme video, which was

51:17designed to be humorous about Barack and Michelle Obama, and it just played on a

51:21recording. For those of you who remember that controversy, it was front page news.

51:25I think the wife of the mayor in New York City liberating the murder of

51:31twelve hundred innocent Jews in the captivity of two hundred and fifty other innocent Jews,

51:35many of whom would be murdered while they were in captivity, should be.

51:39And I know I'm old school because I was reading the newspaper on my flights

51:41up to D .C. today.

51:43I know that this should be the front page of The New York Times and

51:47and certainly The New York Times, but also The Washington Post, based on the way

51:50they cover Trump's social media post.

51:52Will it will any of you see this covered anywhere other than a show like

52:00this or a site like the one that covered it?

52:03It's but honestly, Clay, it's tough.

52:05She's she's not an elected office.

52:08Ask him. Will they even ask him about it?

52:10I mean, I think that's fair to say, hey, your wife was celebrating the murder

52:13of Jews. Do you think maybe that's a little bit wrong?

52:16I mean, I get it.

52:17He'll just it's not. He'll say my I'll say my wife and my wife is

52:21allowed to have opinions and he'll just move on.

52:23I'm just I don't even think you're not going to.

52:25He won't get asked. But if he did get asked, he would just say, my

52:28wife loves Jewish people. And this is what they just gaslight you.

52:31They ignore it. Doesn't matter.

52:33The evidence doesn't matter. Someone should write a book about this.

52:35Maybe somebody did called Manufacturing Delusion, which you should go get a copy of this

52:44Clay, the the the game with them is just say you didn't see the thing

52:49you saw or. Yeah. What I said doesn't matter.

52:52This is it's just like with Gavin Newsom.

52:54It's all it's all this.

52:57And unfortunately, it works with people and it works works well enough in New York

53:00City. They're just going to figure out the hard way that this guy is the

53:04mayor of New York and everything that he says he's going to do.

53:07That's positive. He will make worse.

53:10He came into office to make people's lives more affordable.

53:12He's going to make them less affordable and they still won't learn the lesson.

53:16You know why? Because whatever he does, they'll say he didn't do enough of it.

53:20That's the problem. This was the whole thing with with like Obama and all the

53:25spending after the after the Great Recession, because it caused all kinds of waste and

53:31inflation and everything else. And it was always, well, he just didn't spend.

53:34It's not that he spent too much money on Democrat Party.

53:38He didn't spend enough. That's why we had this is they have a fever and

53:42the only prescription is more cowbell.

53:44This is how Democrats are with everything.

53:45That's why we just can't let them be in charge.

53:46We just had on Brianna Lyman from the Federalist talking about the you elect Republicans,

53:52fewer people die. Elect Republicans to run your city and fewer people will die by

53:57the numbers. Do you think any Democrats care?

53:59No. Whatever happened if it saves if it saves one life?

54:04That's that they use that when they want.

54:06But of course, they never mean it.

54:07This is the unfortunate consequence of there being a non consequential, right?

54:16Actual bad policy doesn't seem to change people from rooting for what team they decided

54:22to root for. And you would think in many of these blue cities where violence

54:27has skyrocketed. Thankfully, it's coming back down because of President Trump's decisions that that would

54:33change. but it just hasn't.

54:35And I think, again, the Mamdani argument, as you just laid out, is a very

54:40difficult one to make in the grand scheme of things.
