0:10Cozy Earth. Team 47 with Clay and Buck starts now.
0:19Going into the weekend, major news coming from Iran where early, early in the morning
0:26U .S. time on Saturday morning, we began to rain down a ton of missiles
0:34and an attack on Iran alongside of Israel, wiping out, according to President Trump, 49
0:42top Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Khomeini, who had been in charge for decades there.
0:51That attack happening in the daylight hours in Iran on Saturday, stunning.
0:58Much of the Iranian leadership.
1:01Maybe, Buck, they should have Zoomed.
1:04But instead, they all gathered directly together in the daylight hours, and now many of
1:11them are gone. President Trump is speaking as we are coming on with you, live
1:17from the White House. And I think the primary question is, who will rule Iran?
1:24We will get into that quite a lot going forward.
1:27But let me go ahead and hit you with the absolute latest comments from President
1:33Trump, just made in the last few moments in the White House.
1:38These are cuts. 31. Let's start with this.
1:43This is cut 31, as Trump has just updated the absolute latest moments knowledge from
1:50Iran, cut 31. Today, the United States military continues to carry out large -scale combat
1:57operations in Iran to eliminate the grave threats posed to America by this terrible terrorist
2:04regime. Following our obliteration of Iran's nuclear program in Operation Midnight Hammer a short while
2:12ago, we warned Iran not to make any attempt to rebuild at a different location
2:16because they were unable to use the ones that we so powerfully blew up.
2:22But they ignored those warnings and refused to cease their pursuit of nuclear weapons.
2:27In addition, the regime's conventional ballistic missile program was growing rapidly and dramatically, and this
2:34posed a very clear, colossal threat to America and our forces stationed overseas.
2:39The regime already had missiles capable of hitting Europe and our bases both local and
2:45overseas, and would soon have had missiles capable of reaching our beautiful America.
2:50The purpose of this fast -growing missile program was to shield their nuclear weapon development
2:56and make it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to stop them from making these highly forbidden
3:01by us nuclear weapons. Okay, let me hit a couple more, Buck, then I'll bring
3:08you in, get your immediate reaction.
3:10CIA was very involved, according to reports.
3:1332, Trump lays out the military objectives in Iran right now.
3:18Our objectives are clear. First, we're destroying Iran's missile capabilities, and you see that happening
3:25on an hourly basis and their capacity to produce brand new ones and pretty good
3:30ones they make. Second, we're annihilating their navy.
3:34We've knocked out already 10 ships there at the bottom of the sea.
3:38Third, we're ensuring that the world's number one sponsor of terror can never obtain a
3:44nuclear weapon, never going to have a nuclear weapon.
3:46I said that from the beginning.
3:47They're never going to have a nuclear weapon.
3:50They were on the road to getting one legitimately through a deal that was signed
3:55foolishly by our country. And finally, we're ensuring that the Iranian regime cannot continue to
4:03arm, fund, and direct terrorist armies outside of their borders.
4:08And we thought we had a deal, but then they backed out, and they came
4:13back, and we thought we had a deal, and they backed out.
4:15I said, you can't deal with these people.
4:17You've got to do it the right way.
4:19Okay, and then last, cut 33, four lost lives from U .S.
4:25service members. Trump says we grieve for them and gives you a projected timeline of
4:30how long this mission will take.
4:33Today, we grieve for the four heroic American service members who have been killed in
4:38action and send our love and support to their families.
4:42In their memory, we continue this mission with ferocious, unyielding resolve to crush the threat
4:48this terrorist regime poses to the American people, and a threat indeed it is.
4:54We have the strongest and most powerful by far military in the world, and we
5:00will easily prevail. We're already substantially ahead of our time projections, but whatever the time
5:09is, it's okay. Whatever it takes, we will always, and we have, right from the
5:14beginning, we projected four to five weeks, but we have capability to go far longer
5:20than that. We'll do it.
5:21Whatever somebody said today, they said, oh, well, if the president wants to...
5:25Do it really quickly. After that, he'll get bored.
5:27I don't get bored. There's nothing boring about this.
5:30Do you agree with that, Pete?
5:32I don't think there's anything, Mr.
5:33General, there's nothing boring about it.
5:35Somebody actually said from the media, I think he'll get bored after about a week
5:40or two. No, we don't get bored.
5:41I never get bored. If I got bored, I wouldn't be standing here right now.
5:44I guarantee you that, to go through what I had to go through.
5:48Okay, Buck, big picture takeaways.
5:51Did anything surprise you? I think the biggest question is, who's going to end up
5:55ruling Iran, right? That's the trillion -dollar question at this point.
5:59Well, the first thing is, he finally did it.
6:03Remember that scene in Jurassic Park where he sees the dinosaurs?
6:09Ian Malcolm, the character who is played by Jeff Goldblum.
6:14And he goes, he did it.
6:16The crazy son of a gun did it.
6:19And that's really the feeling that so many of us who have been watching this
6:23Iran situation for decades now felt like.
6:27And in the best possible way, enough is enough.
6:30Trump knows enough about the negotiations with anyone.
6:37He knows when he is being screwed around.
6:41And he knew, fundamentally, the Iranians, the Iranian regime, I should say.
6:46And it's very important to separate these things.
6:48America has no hostility toward the Iranian people, per se.
6:51In fact, we want much better lives and freedom for all of them.
6:54We despise the malacracy, which was essentially an Islamic faction that took over this country
7:03and ruined it for 50 -some -odd years.
7:06OK, so we've had enough of that.
7:08And Trump came in and said that all the deals, the fundamental reality that the
7:14Obama administration refused to see, refused to understand, which was you can't make a deal
7:20with these people. Sure, you can negotiate with some terrorists.
7:24You can't negotiate with these terrorists.
7:26They were not going to abide by a deal because they knew if they got
7:32full nuclear capability, then they're North Korea.
7:36Then they get to do whatever garbage they want and make the world the worst
7:41place in whatever ways they want for the foreseeable future, for generations to come.
7:46Because no one is going to take the risk of a major strike on a
7:50country with crazies running it with nukes at their disposal.
7:55This was the realization that Trump had, and he tried, and he tried, and he
8:00negotiated, and he wanted to get a deal.
8:02And this is Mr. Dealmaker on the global stage saying, guys, you've got to convince
8:10me that you're serious about this one.
8:12And what he realized was there was no deal to be had.
8:16And, you know, Clay, how many years has it taken for everyone to go through
8:19this? Oh, we've got to figure out some.
8:20They don't want to make a deal.
8:23And now they can't. So that's a good thing.
8:26Now it's all over for them.
8:28Now they are with the 72 virgins, if that's a thing.
8:32And they're somewhere else. And we have the hope of a better and more prosperous
8:37future for the Iranian people.
8:40I mean, there were fireworks here in South Beach.
8:42And look, I get it.
8:43There's a large Jewish community where I live.
8:45I live in a mostly Jewish enclave of Miami Beach.
8:50And everybody around here was high -fiving and thinks it's fantastic.
8:54And there were fireworks going off, Clay, in celebration of this strike.
9:01And I have to say, so far, look at the people that are involved.
9:05Look at the people in charge.
9:06You've got Secretary of Warhead, Seth.
9:07You've got Trump. You've got Marco Rubio, a Secretary of State.
9:10We're not doing nation building.
9:12This is just we're going to pick apart the tyranny and encourage better things to
9:19happen on the ground there.
9:20And I think that if that is the mission and they are able to pull
9:24this off, Clay, you tweeted this.
9:25And I agree with you.
9:26Trump is the most consequential president on track to be the most consequential president, certainly
9:32since, no, I said consequential, not best, FDR.
9:37And maybe going back even further, he may be the most consequential president since Lincoln.
9:41That's really what we're heading toward right now, my friends.
9:44That's the direction this is going if he pulls this all off.
9:47Look, I tweeted, and I really do think it's been under -discussed.
9:52I think the assassination attempts that Trump survived, I think they changed him in a
9:58profound way. And I don't know what his second term would look like if those
10:05assassination attempts hadn't occurred. And I think you also have to plug in the attempts
10:10to bankrupt him, the attempts to put him in prison for the rest of his
10:13life. I think Trump is operating in a fearless manner.
10:18And he is deciding to do things that aren't designed to be good for the
10:23next six months. They're designed to be good for the next 60 years.
10:27And I mean, I think you can look across everything he's doing, whether it's the
10:32ballroom that he is building at the White House, whether it is the ceremonial arch
10:38that he is putting in at the White House, heck, the redone Kennedy Center that
10:42they are rehabbing right now.
10:45Those are physical manifestations in a small way of the larger global perspective that he's
10:52embarked upon. I mean, get out of here.
10:53Getting rid of Maduro, getting rid of the Ayatollah, basically ending communism in Cuba in
11:00many ways, which is not being talked about very much yet, but that entire communist
11:06regime in Cuba, we are right now living through a modern Berlin Wall coming down
11:13moment. Now, here are the challenges.
11:15As there are great attempts at excellence, the reach can sometimes be unreachable, and that
11:24is the danger, I think, that is incumbent right now, is he's trying to do
11:30great things, and for anyone who tries to do great things, sometimes when you stretch
11:36for greatness, there are flaws that emerge in that process, and so I think it's
11:41fair to say it's too early, but, Buck, if you look at the June attack
11:47in Iran, the takeout of Maduro in Venezuela, and the early first couple of days
11:53opening moves that have gone on in Iran, they have been basically flawlessly executed.
12:00Four lost lives, I wish there were none, but if you had told people that
12:05all those things were going to be happening, and the cost to American life would
12:08be for service members, I think everyone would have said that's impossible.
12:13Now, I think, unfortunately, the toll is going to grow.
12:16I think for everybody out there, you need to be watching around you.
12:21We just saw the shooting that happened in Austin, Texas.
12:24Innocent people lost their lives.
12:26Crazy people are emboldened by the actions your president has taken.
12:30It was a terrorist attack in Austin.
12:31It appears it was quite clearly a terror attack.
12:33I don't think they've officially said it, but the guy that...
12:35I'm saying it. I know more about this than the Austin cops looking at it.
12:39It's a terrorist attack, okay?
12:40It feels like very clearly a terrorist attack to me.
12:43And so, again, we'll open up phone lines.
12:45We'll react to you guys.
12:47By the way, it's also the eve of the primary in Texas in addition to
12:51that attack that took place in Austin.
12:53So there are lots of news stories out there.
12:55But Iran is by far the biggest story.
12:59I was gleeful, I'm not going to lie, that we took this step because we've
13:05seen so many half steps.
13:07We saw Obama give the Iranians billions of dollars.
13:09To your point, Buck, we knew they weren't actually going to be honest brokers.
13:15And so you're just kicking the can down the road if you continue to allow
13:19this group to be in charge.
13:21All that you had to know about this is the people in charge thought, all
13:28we have to do is get to the point of double -crossing whoever makes a
13:31deal with us, double -crossing the international community, get the full nuclear package going that
13:38we want, and then what are they going to do about it?
13:42That's the... You know, they only had to screw us over once, and then we
13:45have to deal with this forever, basically, wait for some internal collapse of a regime
13:50that now has nukes. Look at how that's going to North Korea.
13:53You're seeing a lot of North Korean opposition these days?
13:56Yeah. It was... Trump has likely saved us from decades more of...
14:04You have to understand, these are really bad people.
14:07These are really bad people in Iran that he killed.
14:11And I know that sounds very simplistic to people who think they know a lot
14:14about geopolitics. I can speak the geopolitics, think tank language, and lingo with the best
14:19of them. Fundamentally, these are evildoers who had nothing but bad intentions toward their own
14:27people, toward the rest of the world, and they've been doing it.
14:30We let them get away with nonsense for decades.
14:32They have the blood of Americans on their hands in a whole bunch of different
14:35ways. And it's a tin -pot crappy country right now.
14:39I mean, the regime is.
14:40It's actually a beautiful country.
14:42Iran, in 20 years, could be amazing.
14:45The same way that Cuba, in like five years, if they got rid of the
14:48people in charge, could be amazing.
14:51We don't have to live this way.
14:52It's a little bit like the crime thing, Clay.
14:54The big revelation is, it actually doesn't have to be like this.
14:58And the big revelation from Trump is, you can just do stuff.
15:03You don't have to let the bad guys just keep getting away with it.
15:06You can actually do stuff when you're America.
15:08So, we'll see. Is there a risk?
15:10Yeah, of course there's risk.
15:11War with Iran. It is a reality right now.
15:14We have an aerial war against the Iranian regime underway.
15:18A long time in coming.
15:21But here it is. And Secretary of War Hegseth has not been holding back at
15:27all. He is addressing everybody on this.
15:29This is cut one. He's saying, look, we didn't even really start this.
15:32We could argue that. But we didn't start this.
15:35But President Trump's going to finish it.
15:36Play one. We didn't start this war.
15:38But under President Trump, we are finishing it.
15:42Their war on Americans has become our retribution against their Ayatollah and his death cult.
15:49It took the 47th president, a fighter who always puts America first, to finally draw
15:55the line after 47 years of Iranian belligerence.
15:59He reminded the world, as he has time and time again, being an American means
16:04something unbreakable. If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere on Earth, we will
16:10hunt you down without apology and without hesitation.
16:13And we will kill you.
16:18I think that's a good rule.
16:19I think that... The American government should take the opinion that if you kill Americans,
16:25if you prey on our people, we're going to get you.
16:29Pretty straightforward. You're listening to Team 47 with Clay and Buck.
16:37We were talking about the plan with regard to Iran, and I said defang.
16:43It turns out that's exactly what Secretary Rubio said.
16:46Great minds think alike. I didn't even know about this one.
16:48Here is Secretary Rubio. Play it.
16:50From what I've been told by the Department of War, everything is on or ahead
16:53of schedule and proceeding on these objectives.
16:56We have every confidence in the world that these objectives will be achieved.
16:59The last point I would make is, and I said this yesterday and I repeat,
17:03what's about, you know, you're about to see, you know, we're going to unleash Chang
17:06on these people in the next few hours and days.
17:08You're going to really begin to perceive a change in the scope and in the
17:12intensity of these attacks as, frankly, the two most powerful air forces in the world
17:16take apart this terroristic regime and defang it and take away its ability to threaten
17:21its neighbors or hide behind a zone of immunity that allows them to develop their
17:25nuclear ambitions. We just blew up the Iranian flagship clay with a torpedo the first
17:40time the U .S. has taken down a ship with a torpedo since World War
17:45Two. I saw that for the military history nerds out there.
17:48I don't even know how many ships Iran has, but I don't feel like they
17:54have a very, very long history of seafaring left in their future here.
17:59I don't know how many ships it is, but I don't know how many ships
17:59it is.
