0:30Imposing 15 % tariffs against the world, unlawfully invoking Section 122 of the 1974 Trade
0:37Act. After having his other tariffs against the world struck down by the United Supreme
0:41Court, here are the announcements coming in this morning on Sunday.
0:45European Parliament is announcing that tomorrow on Monday, they will be proposing a freeze to
0:51the ratification of the European Union trade agreement with the United States in response to
0:57Donald Trump's new chaotic 15 % tariffs against the world.
1:01India is delaying its Washington trade visit this week based on Donald Trump imposing these
1:08new 15 % tariffs against the world and the chaos being imposed here.
1:13In France, they summoned Charles Kushner, who's the ambassador to France.
1:19He's also Jared Kushner's father.
1:22He was also a convicted felon who Donald Trump pardoned back in 2020.
1:27And he's being summoned because he and the State Department are interfering with domestic affairs
1:33in France. And they are trying to say, oh, France better focus on its left
1:38-wing extremism. And France is like, let us deal with our internal issues and please
1:43be quiet. So Kushner has been summoned.
1:46And also, the people in Greenland are furious yet again at the Trump regime because
1:51they should be. Donald Trump continues to attack the sovereignty of Greenland like the despicable
1:58predator that he is. Donald Trump's been posting these bizarre messages about sending hospital ships
2:06and hospital boats to save the people of Greenland.
2:10And people are like, what are you talking about?
2:12We have universal health care in Greenland.
2:15We don't need your boats.
2:16In any event, the boats that Donald Trump claims he's sending, the mercy and the
2:21comfort are currently undergoing long -term maintenance in Alabama.
2:25It should be noted the people in Greenland are also terrified because one of the
2:30things that they think this could be used as is a Trojan horse for an
2:35invasion of Greenland. And one of the reasons they think this is well in addition
2:38to Donald Trump threatening to invade Greenland is that a nuclear submarine just surfaced off
2:44the coast of Greenland because someone on the ship was dying and needed medical help.
2:50And the people in Greenland saved this American who was on the coast of Greenland
3:02who was on the coast of Greenland in the first place, which was not known
3:04to the Greenlandic people. And that nuclear submarine was there at the same time the
3:09king of Denmark, Frederick the 10th, was visiting Greenland.
3:14So Greenland saved a submariner who was off the coast of Greenland.
3:21And then Trump said, we're going to be sending our ships to save the people
3:25of Greenland who are dying in Greenland.
3:27People are like, what the hell are you even talking about?
3:29And then the Greenland people learned that the submarines were off the coast of their
3:35ship. So what's Donald Trump doing in response to all of this?
3:38Well, he sent Jameson Greer, his trade representative, to make the rounds on various cable
3:44news networks and TV shows this weekend to do the Sunday shows.
3:48And here's what Jameson Greer said when he was confronted on ABCs this week with
3:53the fact that, you know, these tariffs are not popular.
3:56The American people hate it.
3:58And so your plan after the Supreme Court struck down the tariffs against the world
4:03are now to impose new tariffs against the world by now invoking another law.
4:09I mean, previously you invoked IEPA, which you didn't have the right to by claiming
4:14that there is an emergency to regulate import and export.
4:17The Supreme Court said no way.
4:19Now, under this trade act of 1974, which really deals with currency manipulation, and it
4:25does not deal with anything that's relating to, you know, any conduct that's out there
4:31right now. I mean, it's nothing to do with trade deficits at all.
4:34It has to deal with payments.
4:35And when there's big kind of payment incongruity and catastrophes in payment systems going around
4:44the world is when you can invoke this thing.
4:47Anyway, here's what Jameson Greer has to say.
4:49Play this clip at the 15 percent tariffs, of course, will expire at the end
4:54of July. That's about three months before the midterm.
4:58So what does President Trump do at the end of that period with midterms looming
5:03that have to be on his mind?
5:05He comes out and extends it.
5:07He comes out and announces more.
5:09This is not popular with the American people.
5:11See you. In our latest poll, two -thirds of Americans are not happy with the
5:14tariffs. Well, the president's been campaigning on tariffs and protecting American industry for many years.
5:22And he does what he says.
5:23He delivers on his promises.
5:25And so the policy hasn't changed.
5:27The legal tool to implement it, that might change.
5:29But the policy hasn't changed.
5:31And so we're aiming for continuity.
5:33There's a 15 % tariff now.
5:35It's roughly equivalent to the types of tariffs that we had in place under IEPA.
5:39As this tool expires, I'm going to be conducting Section 301 investigations.
5:45The Commerce Department has existing tariffs under Section 232.
5:48A lot of tariffs are still in place.
5:50The reality is we want to maintain the policy we have, have as much continuity
5:54as possible, make sure that business understands this is the direction we've been going.
5:59We're going to continue going.
6:00So then on CNN, you have Dana Bash asking the Commerce Secretary, Besant, a, I'm
6:07sorry, the Treasury Secretary, Scott Besant, a, you know, a pretty good normal question.
6:13So the big question that American corporations and the American people want to know, Treasury
6:18Secretary Scott Besant, is will we be getting refunds?
6:21Will we be getting tariff refunds now?
6:24Because obviously that you stole our money.
6:28You taxed American companies, which were then passed on to the consumers.
6:32So we should be getting refunds, right?
6:35Here's what he says. Play this clip.
6:37Will you refund the roughly $134 billion in revenue taken by these emergency tariffs?
6:45Well, Dana, that's not the big question.
6:49Let's just level set here.
6:50What the Supreme Court did was a very narrow reading of the president's authority under
6:55the IEPA tariffs. We have other tariff authorities, which have been functioning, Section 232 tariffs,
7:03Section 301 tariffs. And, Dana, when you say it's a big question, that's bad framing
7:08because the Supreme Court didn't even address that.
7:11The Supreme Court remanded it down to a lower court.
7:14And, you know, we will follow what they say, but that could be weeks or
7:19months when we hear them.
7:20So the Supreme Court did not address refunds.
7:23Sure. They didn't address refunds.
7:25That is clearly going to be up to you, which is why it is...
7:29No, no, no, no, Dana.
7:29It is not up to me.
7:31Not you. Not you. It is not up to the administration.
7:34It is up to the lower court.
7:35Let's just be clear on that.
7:36Okay. Well, the Justice Department told a federal appeals court in this very case last
7:42year, if tariffs imposed on plaintiffs during these appeals are ultimately held unlawful, then the
7:48government will issue refunds to plaintiffs.
7:52Again, I'm not going to get out ahead of the court.
7:55We will follow the court's direction.
7:57But as I said, that could be weeks or months away.
8:00That decision was not rendered on Friday.
8:02And then, Pete, this video has surfaced as well right here.
8:06So a guy who claimed to be named John Barron, Rupert posted this clip, and
8:12sounded a lot like Donald Trump, called into C -SPAN on Friday.
8:16Now, this clip surfacing now right after the Supreme Court ruling to complain.
8:21Now, we know that in the past, Donald Trump has used the name John Barron
8:26to pretend to be his own public relations person or his own spokesperson.
8:31And he gives statements saying that he's John Barron, Donald Trump's PR person.
8:37The undisputed fact is that Donald Trump, for a lot of his adult life, pretended
8:43to have a spokesperson named John Barron who would interact with the press.
8:47That's a true story. So someone named John Barron, though, called in.
8:51I'll just play to C -SPAN to complain about the Supreme Court ruling.
8:54I'll just play the clip for you here so you can hear it for yourself.
8:57Let's play this clip. John in Virginia, Republican.
9:02Let's hear from you. Well, this is John Barron.
9:05And you have, look, this is the worst decision you ever have in your life,
9:09practically. Jack, and Jack's going to agree with me, right?
9:13But this is a terrible decision.
9:15And you have Hakeem Jeffries, who, he's a dope.
9:18And you have Chuck Schumer, who can't cook a cheeseburger.
9:22Of course these people are happy.
9:23Of course these people are happy.
9:25But true Americans will not be happy.
9:27And you have the woman earlier.
9:29I assume she's a woman.
9:30She's a Democrat. But she said she's disgraced.
9:34She's devastated. All right, John.
9:36We'll go to Chester, who's in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
9:40Democratic caller. Oh, and by the way, if you want to know some additional information
9:44about Charles Kushner and who Charles Kushner is, well, he was convicted of multiple felonies
9:49and he was pardoned by Donald Trump as well.
9:52And one of the things that he did when his brother -in -law was testifying
9:58against him was he was Charles Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce his brother -in
10:05-law, his wife's his wife's brother, in order to set up the brother to and
10:11blackmail him to not cooperate with the feds against Charles Kushner for tax evasion.
10:18And so Charles Kushner was eventually pled guilty to tax evasion and witness tampering.
10:23And the witness tampering involved his hiring a prostitute for his brother and not telling
10:28his brother to seduce his brother, then to blackmail his brother.
10:31And then Donald Trump pardoned Kushner in 2020.
10:34And then Kushner became the ambassador to France.
10:36That's called protecting the Epstein class.
10:39That's right. right there, in my opinion.
10:41But by the way, one of the things that Jameson Greer, the U .S.
10:45trade representative, is saying, he says, no countries have said they will withdraw from tariff
10:51deals. OK, well, we know that's like that's just blatantly false.
10:55We we know that the European Union is freezing the ratification of the deal.
11:00By the way, the deal hadn't even been ratified yet.
11:03Fake deal. And also so maybe what you're saying, maybe what Jameson Greer means when
11:08he says no countries have said they will withdraw from the tariff deals, is that
11:12there are actually no ratified deals that have actually been made.
11:17It's just Donald Trump making social media posts, increasing or decreasing the tariff percentage and
11:24then letting and then eventually the people who are who collect the levies are told
11:29what the numbers are and businesses are left in this kind of chaotic state.
11:33But I also showed you that India is not coming to meet with the United
11:36States. So there's already ramifications from not just the Supreme Court ruling.
11:41I think that foreign countries like the certainty coming from that ruling that Trump's tariffs
11:46against the world are unlawful.
11:47But it's that Donald Trump invoked a new unlawful scheme, Section 122 of the Trade
11:53Act of 1974, in order to impose these tariffs against the world.
11:57Take a look at the story right here.
11:59U .S. trade chief says no countries have said they will withdraw from tariff deals.
12:04Notice that no one on the left is covering this.
12:07There's a little bit of coverage from the center, but this is mostly being covered
12:11from the right because this is a lie, because this is blatant propaganda coming from
12:16Jameson Greer. We all know that that this is that that other countries don't even
12:23have trade deals with the United States or just a tariff number.
12:25Anyway, I have to stay up to date on the news all the time, as
12:29you know, in order to do this podcast.
12:32And my biggest go to news source is something called Ground News.
12:35You know that, right? I love Ground News.
12:37It's a subscriber funded app and news site.
12:40And every day they pull in thousands of articles from around the world and organize
12:44them by story and then show you what the right is reporting, what the center
12:48is reporting, what the left is reporting.
12:49It's a game changer because as active, responsible citizens, we must get our news from
12:54reliable sources in Trump's America.
12:56Being informed about the facts and media and media bias is the most important thing
13:00that you can do. But that's why I love Ground News.
13:03For every article, they also tell you, did a media conglomerate put this news out
13:07or was it independent media?
13:09And they also list the degree of factuality, which is interesting as there are a
13:13lot of news sources from media conglomerates that have mixed or low factuality.
13:17Independent media seems to have a higher factuality, but you get all of that with
13:21your Ground News Vantage subscription.
13:24I especially like their Blindspot feed, which highlights stories that are disproportionately covered by one
13:30side of the political spectrum.
13:31Like the story I just shared with you about how a U .S.
13:34trade chief, Jameson Greer, says no countries have said they will withdraw from tariff deals,
13:39which is being covered almost all from right -wing media, when we know it's also
13:43all they like, because that's the propaganda they feed to their audience.
13:47So join us now by going to ground .news slash MTN to get 40 %
13:53off the Ground News Vantage plan that I use every morning.
13:57They are subscriber funded. By subscribing, you're not only getting a tool we all need
14:01today, you're also supporting our work here on the Midas Touch YouTube channel.
14:07So go to ground .news slash MTN, and we pin the link to purchase your

14:16Moving on to Steve Witkoff's comments about Iran.
14:19He made his rounds, went on state regime media, and Witkoff said, one of the
14:25things that we don't understand about Iran is with all of the ships that we
14:29have. The fact that America now has 40 to 50 % of the deployable U
14:35.S. air power in the world, basically off the coast of Iran right now.
14:41Why isn't Iran capitulating? This is what Witkoff says.
14:45Why? Just capitulate to us.
14:47Don't you see all of the ships around?
14:49Why aren't you capitulating? This is Witkoff's message.
14:53Here play this clip. I know that we have red lines here from the U
14:56.S. How about over with Iran?
14:58The president asked me that this morning, and he's, I don't want to use the
15:02word frustrated. It's almost because he understands he's got plenty of alternatives.
15:06But it's curious. He's curious as to why they haven't, I don't want to use
15:12the word capitulated, but why they haven't capitulated.
15:16Why under this sort of pressure with the amount of sea power, naval power that
15:22we have over there, why they haven't come to us and said, we profess that
15:25we don't want a weapon.
15:27So here's what we're prepared to do.
15:29And yet it's hard to, to sort of get them to that place.
15:32Well, there's that. But I guess where I'm confused, and maybe you're confused as well.
15:37Didn't Donald Trump say last June that he obliterated all of Iran's nuclear facilities, that
15:44it was totally and utterly obliterated and they were done?
15:47Isn't that what we were sold?
15:49Isn't that what we were told?
15:50Oh, are we lied to them the same way this regime lies to us about
15:55every damn thing? I think we were lied to.
15:57I think we were lied to.
15:59Or why didn't you go in?
16:02If you said you were going to go into Iran, Donald, you told the protesters
16:05in Iran, get out there.
16:07We've got your back. And if Iran shoots at the protesters, we will make sure
16:12that we go in and save the protesters.
16:14Well, Donald Trump's been using numbers.
16:17If you take Trump's numbers, Trump has said that about 30 ,000 Iranian protesters were
16:25massacred. We knew it was in the thousands, but the number I've heard Trump and
16:29officials use within the regime is could be as many as 30 ,000 protesters who
16:34were massacred by the Ayatollah.
16:36But Trump, you told them go out and protest.
16:39You said, go and do it.
16:40You got their back. You got them massacred.
16:43And then you are now bragging that you saved 800 Iranians from being hung by
16:49the Ayatollah. And by the way, those people were probably hung.
16:52We haven't heard a lot of data, but I bet you if I had to
16:55guess, the people that Donald Trump said he saved from being hung 30 days ago
17:00got hung. That's my guess, knowing the way he lies about everything.
17:05But it's hard to know for sure, given the media blackout that takes place in
17:10Iran and given that Donald Trump lies about everything.
17:12And then finally, you have J .D.
17:14Vance making his rounds. And J .D.
17:17Vance says that, you know, the thing about the left is that all we want
17:22to do with ICE is get the sex offenders.
17:24That's what we're trying to do.
17:26The reason why you've seen ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo doing all those things is
17:31because we're trying to stop sex offenders.
17:33That's what we care about in this Trump regime.
17:36OK, that's you think we're that stupid.
17:39But this is what J .D.
17:40Vance says. Play this clip.
17:41It's really not that hard.
17:43And it's it's a huge indictment of Jacob Frye and frankly, the entire far left
17:48that they made that their cause of the day, letting violent sex offenders stay on
17:53the streets of America. The president's just not going to go for that.
17:55Well, the irony doesn't end there, unfortunately, for the Democrats.
17:58They've now thrust us. And as Aaron Reikland Melnick explains, sex offenders account for a
18:04grand total of one point four percent of people arrested by ICE in the last
18:10year. By the way, Obama and Biden and other administrations arrested far more sex offenders
18:18using ICE and Border Patrol, I guess, as it was initially intended or or actually
18:24having deportations against the bad people than what ICE and Border Patrol is being used
18:29as now as a terroristic force and ICE.
18:33And let me be very clear.
18:34ICE and Border Patrol need to be abolished.
18:36OK, I don't want to say there's no reforming these entities.
18:39They are broken. They are terroristic.
18:42They are SS. They are paramilitary.
18:44They need to be abolished.
18:47Period. Full stop. By the way, well, there's a you know, there's a partial government
18:51shutdown right now because Trump and the MAGA Republicans, they refuse to compromise with Democrats.
18:57Democrats have asked for Democrats have said, have ICE wear body cams, take off their
19:03masks, use judicial warrants, and they can't be around polling places for the midterm elections.
19:09I think truthfully, I think those requests by the Democrats are pretty weak.
19:14I want to see ICE abolish the Border Patrol.
19:16Regardless, those are pretty reasonable things that the Democrats have asked for.
19:21Right. Just those four things.
19:22And for Trump and MAGA, they're like, that's a nonstarter for us.
19:27Not only was it a nonstarter for us, they're shutting down the government MAGA because
19:31of this. And not only that, but yesterday, the Trump regime announced that the Department
19:36of Homeland Security was going to suspend TSA pre -check and global entry, they said,
19:42as a result of their shutdown, because they want ICE agents and Border Patrol agents
19:47to be masked. And by the way, when the prior government shutdown took place, that
19:53never happened. Right. As Aaron Melnick says, you know, this is completely deliberate and not
19:58required because TSA didn't even float this as a possibility during the shutdown just a
20:04few months ago. But then after 12 hours of the Trump regime threatening that, guess
20:09what? They backed down. It took barely 12 hours of outrage over the nakedly political
20:14decision to suspend TSA pre -check for Secretary Noem to backtrack.
20:19The TSA spokesperson says, at this time, TSA pre -check remains operational with no change
20:25for the traveling public. OK, well, there you have it.
