3:38I really, really appreciate it.

3:39I try really hard to make sure that everyone is as well -informed as I

3:41am. Well, absolutely. And this is the thing.

3:44If you give Ryan your time, I'm just really going to give him a plug.

3:47If you give Ryan your time, you listen to this numbers game, you're going to

3:50know more than when you started listening, and you're going to know more than a

3:53lot of people who think they know a lot about politics, which is, this is

3:56always, I used to tell Ryan this too.

3:58I was like, why do I want to work with Ryan?

3:59Why do I have him on as a guest?

4:00Because he's one of the rare guests who calls in or joins, who teaches me

4:04things about politics. You know, I got a lot of people like, I'm a political

4:07consultant. I'm like, well, that guy knows nothing.

4:09Ryan knows a lot. So there's a lot of that, as you know, out there.

4:13Yeah. Yeah. So let's, we want to talk about this birth data situation, which you

4:18did a piece on recently for your substack, which is also excellent, the National Populist

4:21Newsletter. But first, can I, what is the truth about support for this Iran situation?

4:28I'm sure you've been crunching these numbers too.

4:31Some people say all of, all of Republicans are behind Trump.

4:35Other people say his numbers are in the toilet nationally.

4:38What's really going on? Yeah.

4:40The numbers are very bad.

4:42I mean, for Republicans, and I said this time and time again, no one was

4:45going to care so long as it didn't affect them at home because they just

4:49naturally trust Trump. But the, but the thing is, is now that gas prices have

4:53soared, the numbers have tanked.

4:55The, the, what you're referencing is how does MAGA feel?

4:59And, and it's, I don't like that question in polls because it is, there's nothing

5:03to identify if you are a MAGA Republican or not, aside from you saying so.

5:08So I could look at your voter file and say, you're a man, you're between

5:11this ages, you live in this area, yada, yada, yada.

5:14And that will be a quantifier to say, okay, this person is actually, you know,

5:18telling their details about themselves correctly.

5:20And we could probably wait the poll.

5:22You could be a MAGA Republican today and not a MAGA Republican.

5:24tomorrow and then switch your opinion 10 times over.

5:27It basically says, do you or do you not support the president?

5:30And among people who say they are a macro Republican, it is around 90 %

5:34among most of these polls.

5:35What you want to look for, though, is other indicators of likely Trump voters and

5:41how they feel. So among Republicans and among people who voted for Donald Trump, opposition

5:46or undecidedness, that's the other thing I look for is if you're undecided about your

5:51opinion about it, that has slowly been climbing.

5:53It was around 12 to 13 % according to the NPR and Washington Post poll

5:58back in March 1st when this whole COPPA began.

6:01By the time you get to the Fox poll and other polls since then, like

6:05the Quinnipiac poll, that number climbs about 26%, right?

6:09Among Trump's most loyal voting bloc, which is whites without a college degree.

6:14Whites without a college degree supported this war at the very beginning by double digits.

6:19In some polls around 55%, 56 % according to CNN, the Washington Post, and other

6:23ones. There's that support among that demographic, the most important demographic to the Republican coalition.

6:28Opposition has climbed to over 55 % in almost every poll now, especially because of

6:34gas prices and inflation. And once again, there's a lot of anxiety about the economy.

6:39And anytime Trump talks about foreign policy and gives a lot of emphasis, voters feel

6:43that he's not paying enough attention about the economy, which is what they are concerned

6:47about. Ryan, it wasn't very long ago that Democrats were saying Minneapolis is going to

6:54be the story for midterms.

6:57No one talks about Minneapolis anymore.

7:00I haven't heard Alex Peretti or Renee Good's name in forever.

7:04I think it was ultimately a sign of just how quickly our news cycle can

7:09move. I don't know when we're going to get a resolution with Iran.

7:13I'm not sure exactly what it's going to be, but I feel like it will

7:16likely happen in the next couple of months.

7:19Presuming that that occurs. If we get to June, July, August, which is kind of

7:25the summer season where people tune out, and Trump has managed to turn the conversation

7:31back domestically, do you really think in September, October, November, again, if we get some

7:37resolution by Memorial Day, which I think we will in Iran, do we really think

7:42that we're going to still be talking about the situation in Iran?

7:45I get that it's bad for Trump if it still is a story, but I

7:49just feel like stories come and go so quickly that the reason they made the

7:53decision to attack on February 28th was because they knew by the summer they could

7:59pivot back to domestic affairs and whatever we thought were going to be the big

8:03stories for this year. They're just gone and kind of in the waste bin.

8:07So as long as gas prices go down, because that's contingent.

8:11One, people want to go on summer vacation.

8:13They want to go to the beach.

8:14They want to go on holidays.

8:15Gas being $4 a gallon is going to really tamper on their summer plans, make

8:20it a lot harder to go on vacation, have residual effects on the economy.

8:25That will be a negative.

8:26Also, the thing about gas prices, you see a gas price every four blocks wherever

8:31you travel in this country.

8:32It is an indicator of inflation.

8:34He really needs gas prices to go down, whether that be a gas tax holiday,

8:38whether it be more domestic, reducing our petroleum reserves, whatever the case may be.

8:44Gas prices are going to be really hindering him as they have every previous president,

8:50even if you have an electric car, you see gas prices no matter where you

8:58go. And you're like, wow, that's very, very high right now.

9:01That just shows inflation. And what we saw in the latest jobs and wages numbers

9:05that came out today is that because the inflation jumped with gas prices increasing, the

9:12wage, the growth in income is being eaten away at higher inflationary costs because of

9:19gas prices. So gas prices.

9:21Ryan, can I just have to jump in really quickly?

9:23And Clay, I think has a real question for you.

9:25But your point about electric cars, not necessarily true, because when Clay drives by people

9:29in his Tesla and sees the price of gas, he says, haha, peasants.

9:34Well, to be fair, as as with all things, I cover both ends of the

9:40spectrum here. I have both a Tesla, which I love, and I would encourage everyone

9:44to buy and I'm not being paid anything for it, although we should be paid.

9:48Honestly, we need to talk to Elon.

9:50We should get paid by Tesla.

9:52But, and by the way, he's got plenty of money to be paying us.

9:55I also have an SUV.

9:57So I only am covering both ends of the spectrum.

10:00I'm both paying way less and way more than the average car driver.

10:04But going to your point, Ryan, is there any data on, so early voting will

10:10start, you know, sometime in October, most places, right?

10:13And then lead into, is there any data on, let's presume oil prices are down

10:19in October? Because I think you're right.

10:20If oil prices are high, it's going to be a negative.

10:23How much backlog on oil prices?

10:28Again, I don't know. What's the average?

10:29About $4 .10 a gallon or something like that, if I'm not mistaken.

10:35And let's say that they're back down around $3 -ish.

10:39You know, and again, every time I say this, people are like, I pay.

10:42Okay, this is a nationwide average in California, you're getting screwed.

10:45I love how great Ann Ethel is the only one who buys gas.

10:48I pay. Every time I mention the price of any thing.

10:52Remember when eggs was a big story?

10:54I was like, well, you know, eggs, somebody's like, I paid this morning.

10:58You know, it's like, okay, it's a nationwide price.

11:00Everybody is going to pay a little bit different.

11:02All right. So let's say that the average, the average nationwide can be different in

11:06California and New York and Florida and Texas and Tennessee, where I am average is

11:10$3. Will people still be angry about gas prices in April, May, June?

11:16In other words, how long does gas price anger linger?

11:19And if it's back down to around $3, which I predict it will be in

11:23the fall, you can grab this one and call me out if I'm wrong on

11:25it. Do people still stay angry about what the price was in April and May?

11:31I think that if it affects their summer plans, I think that anger boils over

11:35into the fall. He really has to get it down in a very, very short

11:39period of time. The window is very, very small.

11:42It's maybe two months. I would say two to two and a half months is

11:44where you want to get down.

11:45If it is still high in the summer and they're saying, guys, guess what?

11:49We're not going on vacations here because we can't afford gas, which in many places

11:52is very high. That will be absolutely impactful.

11:55It also depends on the places where gas is the highest.

11:58One of the highest places for gas right now is Alaska, $4 .65 a gallon,

12:04according to AAA. Alaska has a very, very critical U .S.

12:10Senate race in it that will decide how this election plays out for the U

12:14.S. Senate and control the Senate.

12:16It depends on where. Also, Maine is very high.

12:18Maine is $4 .06 a gallon.

12:20It depends on where and it depends on how fast.

12:23You want to get it down as fast as possible before it affects people's summer

12:27plans. The anger over that and the anxiety over the economy, how long that moves

12:34forward. Ryan, can we keep you through?

12:45Fascinating stuff on who's having babies in this country and what's changing and get into

12:49immigrants and immigrants who are coming here, all this stuff.

18:34This is actually a threat to the future of humanity, not climate change, which has

18:42been the obsession for the last generation.

18:45People are not having babies.

18:47Buck has started to do his part.

18:49He and Kerry have one.

18:50We're working on it. We're going to build out the roster, buddy.

18:53We're working on it. You got to build out the roster and help save humanity.

18:56I've got three. I legitimately, Ryan, tell my boys now that my favorite kid is

19:02going to be the one that gets married and has the most kids and does

19:06the best job of being a dad.

19:09Because people sometimes like my boys legit roll their eyes at me over this.

19:15But if you look at the numbers, the number of kids that are being born,

19:19babies are a vote for the future.

19:21I really do believe this.

19:22It's hard to be pessimistic if you've got a young baby in your hands and

19:25you're thinking about the future that they are going to one day be a part

19:29of. And it's incredibly important, obviously, to the furthering of the country.

19:33What's going on here? Yes.

19:36So birth rates are down worldwide.

19:38It's not just an American phenomenon.

19:40Actually, America for a developed country is still at the higher end at one point

19:44five seven children per woman.

19:46You measure per woman, not per man.

19:48So one point five seven children per woman.

19:50You need two point one children per woman to meet replacement levels.

19:54What we're seeing in the new CDC data for February twenty twenty six is one

20:00an indicator that Trump's immigration crackdown is actually highly effective because among immigrant groups that

20:06have more than a thousand children a month, we're seeing double digit declines.

20:10I always say fertility is a lagging indicator of immigration enforcement.

20:15In other words, if you are seven months pregnant when Trump came in and you're

20:17an illegal alien, you're going to have the kids who gets an American citizenship.

20:21You're not going to flee as the crackdowns have happened on legal immigration or illegal

20:25immigration. As people have self -deported that number, obviously, as time goes on and there's

20:30fewer pregnant women, they've had the baby since Trump became president.

20:33There will be less children being pregnant and being born afterwards.

20:37So among immigrants from China, legal and illegal, the number is down 17 .5 percent.

20:43Colombians, 10 .5 percent. Ecuadorians, 22 percent.

20:48El Salvadorian, 15 percent. Guatemalans, 16 percent.

20:52Haitians, 16 percent. And Mexicans, 13 percent.

20:55These are all the groups that have more than a thousand children per month.

20:59So among that, it shows there is clearly an effect of either self -deportation and

21:03mass deportation happening because you're seeing it now in the birth data as well.

21:07The most interesting thing about fertility data that is coming out, it's a story that

21:12no one really is covering, is the massive decline among births happening among Black American

21:18women. 2024 was the very first year that whites had more children on average per

21:24woman than Blacks did in this country.

21:26The numbers in 2025, sorry, sorry, 2026 rather, this year so far, that number is

21:32wildly high. It's an average of 1 .55 for white women and 1 .44 for

21:39Black women. And the drop off on Black women on how many kids they have

21:43is down nearly double digits every single year as a percentage.

21:47So in January and February of 2025, black women gave birth to 76 ,000 children

21:55in this country. In January and February of 2026, it was 70 ,000, down nearly

21:5910%. The percentage of black children being born in this country is usually between 13

22:05.5 % to 14%. It will be below 12 % by next year, by 2027,

22:11and could, by the end of the decade, be as low as 10%.

22:14That's a dramatic, dramatic drop in the percentages, and that's really one of the bigger

22:20groups that has led to an overall population.

22:23But their decline is larger than any other group in this country, and no one's

22:28talking about it. It is a true cultural phenomenon happening right now.

22:31Why is that happening, Ryan?

22:34Great question. A lot of people talk about abortion.

22:36It's not abortion. Abortion was obviously way more easily more accessible before a road being

22:41overturned. It's two things. A 90 % reduction in teen pregnancy.

22:46Teen pregnancy, when I was growing up in the 90s, was not super common, but

22:49it was common. You know, you could see it in a lot of places.

22:52Teen pregnancies decline more than 90%.

22:55Actually, it was more common for a woman between 15 and 19 to have a

22:59child than a woman between 20 and 24 to have a child back in the

23:0190s. It is now far less common.

23:04It almost never happens. The second thing is the growth in college applications and women

23:10of black women going to college.

23:12Nothing delays pregnancy and childbearing more than college for women, and the amount of black

23:18women who go to college is substantially larger than it's ever been.

23:21So those are two big cultural phenomenons.

23:23It's also, you know, having a child by accident is rarer and rarer in this

23:27country. We only have one minute left, Ryan.

23:30Ryan, the data that I saw was women in their 30s are having almost all

23:35the babies now relative to past.

23:37Have we oversold, from a data perspective, women on abandoning having kids when they're in

23:44their 20s, and also you mentioned teenagers, and it's just a math equation, right?

23:48Once you get to your 30s, it's harder to get to 2 .1.

23:51Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. You have fewer children, and you have them, and you have them

23:55later on in life. Absolutely.

23:56You know, Megan McCain is a friend of mine.

23:59She always says women need to take their fertility as well, as seriously as they

24:02take their job, and that's the truth.

24:07Rarely are you a celebrity who has a first kid at 45 years old.

24:10If you want to have children, you should plan for that early and try to

24:13have it as early as you possibly can in order to make sure you have

24:16as many as you want.

24:17The number that they want, the number they're having, is very different.

24:19People want more than they're actually having.

24:21Ryan, one last quick thing.

26:08It was the worst of times.

26:10We have very different feelings about some of your analysis on the Strait of Hormuz.

26:18And let's dive into some of this for a second.

26:21First off, we have, hold on, where did it go?

26:27Here we go. VIP email from Willis.

26:29Am I the only one that understands that Clay is arguing that the Strait being

26:34shut down does not hurt Americans like it did in the 80s because the U

26:39.S. is energy independent? Clay isn't saying that the Strait being closed is good.

26:43He is merely pointing out the shifts in the balance of power over time.

26:47This is a mechanism that historians use to try to understand the past.

26:54Clay, Willis is essentially saying you are the Talleyrand of the SEC.

27:00Very positive comment. I'm sure is immediately accompanied, as is often the case, by someone

27:07who is calling me a moron simultaneously, which also happens.

27:11And I believe you have that.

27:13And this then brings us to the worst of times.

27:15times vip email from robert clay you are talking out of a place that rhymes

27:20with grass the three percent of the country who drill refine invest and retail in

27:26the oil gas industry are happy the other 97 of the country are ticked off

27:31at four dollar gallon gas and higher overall prices that come from higher gas prices

27:37in the supply chain the gop is toast this fall if this price lingers into

27:41the early midsummer because the negative narrative will be baked in um i don't think

27:46you disagree with well certainly not the guy who says you're a genius but in

27:51this guy you're saying you would agree that if the price of gas stayed high

27:55to the midterms we're in deep deep uh trouble you're just saying you don't think

27:58it'll last that long you think some people are benefiting from the high prices and

28:03we can sustain this better than people had thought because of america america is the

28:09world's true energy superpower we don't say this enough we just think like we're the

28:13best that you know we're the best that uh uh making uh cool stuff and

28:18uh i don't know what we're the best at sports um creating handsome radio hosts

28:24but we're also the best at energy i i think that a lot of people

28:29again there's a difference between recognizing a reality and saying that it is a good

28:36thing and i think sometimes when you recognize reality people take it as saying oh

28:40this means that you're hugely in favor of it what i am saying is the

28:44political calculus on this is such that i don't believe the pressure on trump is

28:51the same that it would have been when we were having to import overwhelmingly the

28:56oil and gas that we consumed in the 80s and the 90s compared to now

29:01much of the dollar of increased oil and gas stays in our country and even

29:07is coming from external locations and so much of much of life is just an

29:14analysis of especially when it comes to negotiation who can withstand the pressure longer who

29:21can withstand the pressure of a strait of hormuz that is uh that is restricting

29:27the uh ingress and egress of oil and gas iran or the united states and

29:33almost every single person in the media right now to a man and woman is

29:39telling you oh iran both controls which is not accurate they're just threatening terrorism controls

29:46the strait and the u .s is in a difficult position trump understands negotiation i

29:51think he has more leverage in terms of time than a lot of people are

29:56recognizing yes it is the case in october if we're playing 450 a gallon for

30:01gas republicans are in trouble but if the gas prices come back down in the

30:06fall as they typically do and by that's a question i was asking ryan by

30:10september and october it's back around three dollars a gallon i don't think consumer anger

30:15is going to necessarily carry forward through the summer if that makes sense that's kind

30:21of my argument and i haven't heard a lot of people make it doesn't mean

30:24that i'm right but i do think i'm right about the larger external realities of

30:30oil and gas prices actually being very different now than it would have been in

30:35the 80s or 90s and i know this there's a lot of people in texas

30:39right now that are very happy with hundred dollar a barrel we took a bunch

30:42of those calls and i appreciate all those callers um that seventy dollars seventy five

30:47dollars to them might be the most ideal price but again it costs a lot

30:51of money to get oil and gas out and when it's fifty dollars a barrel

30:54a lot of them are saying hey it's basically impossible to make money for many

30:59people at fifty dollars a barrel we need it to be sixty five seventy dollars

31:03a barrel so just fyi i think it seems very seems very reasonable i still

31:10think it's not a good harbinger of things to come that the strait isn't open

31:13and trump threatened basically civilizational annihilation to get it open but we shall see we

31:20shall see how it goes and honestly it was just fun also to have all

31:23the people work in the oil industry listen to our show calling in you know

31:27i'm saying it felt like an episode of land man here all of a sudden

31:29they're like well buck when you get out deep in the patch and you're up

31:33to your elbows in that black gold then none of them actually sounded like that

31:37but that's what it sounds like in my head um this is the same question

31:41thank you and i think it speaks well to what you said which is one

31:44of the great things about doing this program is we can basically say it doesn't

31:49matter what the next the expertise that we need is we can specifically say whether

31:54it's like hey how do you fix a uh uh how does special ops handle

31:58a helicopter that gets shot a bunch of guys call in and they're like well

32:01this is the back you know uh get shot down this is what our plan

32:05would be this is how we're going to do it or we can say hey

32:07oil and gas how do we handle this and uh this is the number one

32:11question i would say that we keep getting and i'm going to keep going to

32:15it because i understand people are listening at different times of the day we've addressed

32:20this several different times but the fact that it keeps coming up i think means

32:23that there's a lot of discussion about it mike in jacksonville fire away with your

32:27question hey guys appreciate the uh the time so we we basically from what they're

32:35telling us devastated a country the entire country in in what six weeks yep but

32:41i'm struggling with it we can't take the Strait of Hormuz.

32:46I don't, I'm just struggling with that.

32:49You know, it's a common question that we're getting, and we'll keep answering it.

32:54It doesn't, I'll start it, you can finish it, Buck.

32:57The easiest way to think about this is, it's not a naval aircraft or a

33:03airplane, a jet, that is taking out oil and gas tankers.

33:07It can be a tiny little drone, or one guy with a missile on his

33:13shoulder. And so think of it as, the equivalent to the question you're asking is,

33:18why does terrorism still exist?

33:20Well, terrorism still exists because the cost of terrorism is relatively low, and the number

33:27of people involved typically is also very low.

33:29So if you load up a car with a bomb, and you drive it into,

33:33or you just drive a car through a crowd, it's very hard to stop small

33:38terror attacks that can have significant consequences, what I would say here is you need

33:42to think about what Iran is threatening as a terror attack, not a military operation.

33:48Does that sum it up well in your mind, Buck?

33:52Talleyrand of the SEC nails it again.

33:55Or perhaps the Metternich, I'm trying to think.

33:57The Klausiewicz, the Sun Tzu, for those of you who are more Eastern -oriented, that

34:03would all be... I would think you should put Hannibal, by the way, and that

34:06people don't think of Hannibal as the...

34:08because he didn't write about his strategy, but if you're just thinking about military genius,

34:11you would have to have...

34:13Talleyrand is more of almost a foreign relations, like a foreign secretary kind of a

34:17guy. But, no, what you're saying is true.

34:20It reminds me of the IRA back in the early 80s when they put out

34:23that message to Thatcher when they had a bombing that didn't get her.

34:28They said, today we were unlucky, but remember, we only have to be lucky once.

34:32You have to be lucky always.

34:35That's pretty much the case with an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

34:39If Iran did decide that, you know what, screw it, we're just going to blow

34:45up a tanker to make a point here, it would be an enormous disaster.

34:50Okay? An enormous disaster. It's not that they control the strait so much as they

34:56have taken the strait hostage.

34:58Yes. That's a different thing, right?

35:00It's very well said, I think.

35:02Thank you. But I think that is a complicating factor, and it's also why I

35:06think the media, when they use the word control, I think they confuse people because

35:11it makes people think, oh, Iran is just, you know, if we eliminate their military,

35:16how do they control it?

35:17To Buck's point, that's a good way of putting it.

35:19They've taken the strait hostage, and they basically said, hey, we got a gun, and

35:24we're waving it around in the air, and we might just decide to shoot a

35:27random person. Would you decide to go then?

35:31And then, again, we've talked about the economic realities.

35:33If you have a $100 million boat, are you risking a $100 million boat on

35:38whether a crazy person is going to decide to blow it up or not?

35:41I'm not. And I think that's why you've seen a lot of hesitance and a

35:47lot of boat captains not very interested to work their way through the strait because

35:54I think Buck's right. They've taken it hostage.

35:56I hope that explains it.

35:58Yeah. So who else we got on the lines there, Clay?

36:00You can see. Harold in Tennessee has got a really good question.

36:04Harold, fire away with your question.

36:06We'll answer it. It's time to build more pipelines across Saudi Arabia to the Red

36:13Sea, connect all the Emirates, all the oil exporters, and then when that's done, just

36:21close the straits of Hormuz.

36:25Forget Iran. Don't let them sell any oil.

36:29They can't support terrorism. Thank you for the call.

36:32This is good old Tennessee common sense.

36:34He's right. But to the extent, and look, again, there are many of you out

36:39there that know infinitely more about oil and gas than Buck and I do, but

36:44there is a pipeline. The challenge with building pipelines is it's very expensive and it

36:49takes years to get ready to be able to do.

36:52But I do think that's a long -range solution for a short -term problem.

36:57If Iran were to continue to have these terror threats and holding the Strait of

37:04Hormuz hostage, at some point in time, they just say, okay, we're going to cut

37:10out Iran's ability to control the Strait of Hormuz and we're going to have pipelines

37:15instead of oil tankers and we're going to be shipping as much oil and gas

37:19that way as we can.

37:20I think that is the, you know, but the problem is, and again, many of

37:25you have built pipelines that are listening to us right now.

37:28That's a long -range process and even if you do it efficiently, we're talking about

37:33that coming online years into the future and then the challenge with pipelines is they're

37:39still subject to the danger of terror attacks.

37:42One of the things that Iran has done is try to hit the biggest Saudi

37:46Arabian pipeline, to my understanding, here recently.

37:49We know what happened, Buck, with the pipeline that was blown up by Ukraine that

37:57was supposed to connect Russia and Europe.

38:02The Nord Stream pipeline, they blew it up.

38:05So the danger on pipelines is instead of having, I don't know, a thousand ships,

38:10which... are harder to shut down a thousand ships one pipeline getting blown up and

38:15the next thing you know you don't have the ability to have that uh that

38:18pipeline work at all but i think it's a super smart question that he's pointing

38:21to which is at some point you start to recognize the economic realities require you

38:27to change the way you've done business because you're negotiating with terrorists yes all very

38:34all very astute all very good and uh i certainly hope that clay is correct

38:38and that everything all works out we live happily ever after unfortunately some of us

38:44sit here and we where do you go debbie downer some of us are stuck

38:47in debbie downerville and think that the iranians are crazy and they're going to do

38:51wild stuff meaning they'll do a lot of suffering and they'll play all kinds of

38:55games with us because this is how they are now i say iranians i mean

38:59the regime obviously not like the rank and file iranian people i'm sitting here and

39:09you know i'm gonna do i'm gonna go downstairs i'm gonna get some of the

44:40Hey guys. So I've been listening and I've got a couple of comments.

44:43The oil and gas guys from around the country, super glad to hear from them.

44:48I was in oil and gas here in Colorado for 10 years and they make

44:52their money, I can assure you.

44:54What, you know, the strings of Hormuz, the way I see this right now, we

44:58are, we're trying to get rid of 47 years of filth and badness from that

45:03country. I joined the Marines as a young man, partly because of the attacks on

45:09Beirut and the nonsense that's gone on over the years.

45:13But, but people aren't going to stomach, um, high gas prices for very long.

45:17It's, they'll, we'll take it.

45:19Um, we understand, um, because what we're going through and, you know, what we have

45:24gone through for decades, but you know, it's not going to be a long -term

45:28thing. I don't believe. Secondly, um, we'll get past it.

45:32We produce more oil and gas in this country than any other country in the

45:35world. And I don't believe it's going to, I mean, let me back up a

45:39bit, the Straits of Hormuz and what's going on right there.

45:42And, you know, some of that movement and non -movement, it's political.

45:45Everything we do in oil and gas is political.

45:47Colorado doesn't have an oil and gas industry because of the politics here.

45:50It's been destroyed completely. And that's why Pennsylvania and Texas and North Dakota are the

45:56primary places. Um, so again, I think this is a political thing.

46:00It's a short term. It's a, it's a, it's a, uh, negotiating point.

46:04All of it is Trump is a master negotiator.

46:07You know, I'm not in the Trump camp a hundred percent, but the guy's doing

46:09a hell of a lot better than what we've seen over the last 40 years

46:12in this country. That much is for sure.

46:21Hey, it seems like we're missing a really big picture here.

46:24When Trump announced the, uh, ceasefire, he said the ceasefire is contingent upon the Strait

46:30of Hormuz opening up, meaning Iran open up the Strait of Hormuz.

46:36Okay. So here we are two or three days later, the Strait's not open.

46:40So what about the ceasefire then?

46:43I think you're raising a, thank you for the call.

46:45This is what I've been saying.

46:46Very good question. Buck also raised it at some point.

46:50Trump is going to get frustrated and he's going to bomb them again.

46:53And so the question is now Iran probably because Trump also said they're way better

47:00negotiators than they are fighters, which is a pretty, pretty fun, uh, pretty funny analysis,

47:04but I think it's probably true.

47:06Iran, Buck, I guarantee you in Pakistan will say the Strait's open.

47:11There's just not anybody trying to come through it.

47:14And then other people are going to say like us would point out, well, that's

47:18because they're afraid you're going to blow up their ships, you know?

47:21So, uh, they can hold the hostage.

47:24Uh, I think you said, well, they can hold the Strait hostage and the fear,

47:29even if the Strait is technically open can be the reason that the ships are

47:34not coming through. So again, this is going to be a major point of discussion

47:38over the weekend. And it wouldn't shock me if Trump feels like he has to

47:41drop some more bombs. You and I hear about people and families who bought a
