1:00The massive boycott against Donald Trump's State of the Union is exploding in Donald Trump's
1:07face. Trump and MAGA and corporate news are all attacking the Midas Touch Network.
1:13Since we are leading the boycott against Donald Trump and his despicable regime at the
1:21State of the Union, we have partnered with MoveOn.
1:24We are the exclusive distribution partners for an event called the People's State of the
1:30Union. Now, dozens and dozens of members of the House of Representatives and senators will
1:37be boycotting the State of the Union.
1:39Fairly unprecedented in these types of numbers.
1:42And they will be attending our event at the Midas Touch Network.
1:46We will have a stage and an area set up outside of the Capitol building.
1:51We're calling it the People's State of the Union.
1:55And last night, Democratic Senator Adam Schiff announced that he will be indeed boycotting Trump's
2:03State of the Union. And instead, Senator Schiff will be attending the Midas Touch Network's
2:10State of the Union, the People's State of the Union, where he will be one
2:14of our featured speakers. Now, MAGA has been attacking the Midas Touch Network.
2:20They've been attacking Senator Schiff.
2:22And they've been attacking me and my brothers personally as a result of this boycott.
2:27But it's what is just.
2:29It is what is needed right now.
2:31By the way, look how close we are to six million subscribers.
2:35Help us get to six million subscribers today by subscribing right now.
2:40Now, I want to show you what Senator Schiff said when he made the big
2:43announcement last night that he is boycotting the State of the Union.
2:48And he will be speaking at the Midas Touch Network's People's State of the Union.
2:53Let's play this clip right here of Senator Schiff.
2:56Donald Trump is violating the law and Constitution.
2:59He is ignoring court orders.
3:00He has weaponized the Justice Department to go after his enemies.
3:04He is letting loose ICE troops in our streets that are getting people killed.
3:08I will not be attending the State of the Union.
3:11I've never missed one. I have always gone both to inaugurations and to States of
3:16the Union. But we cannot treat this as normal.
3:19This is not business as usual.
3:21I will not give him the audience.
3:22He craves for the lies that he tells.
3:25I will be outside the Capitol with Midas Touch and move on for the People's
3:29State of the Union. 8 p .m.
3:32Eastern Time on Tuesday. Powerful indeed.
3:35Here is a list of some of the other speakers.
3:37Everybody from Senator Merkley to Markey to Senator Murphy to Senator Tina Smith, Senator Van
3:44Hollen, Congresswoman Ansari to Ballant.
3:47We've got Maxwell Frost and Kassar.
3:49We've got Legere Fernandez. We've got Jim Himes, the ranking member of the Intelligence Committee.
3:55Sarah Jacobs. Jayapal. The list keeps going on and on.
3:59You can check out the list there.
4:00Speaking about Democratic Congresswoman Sarah Jacobs, she went on corporate news.
4:06She was on CNN and she was asked by the host, Alex Michelson, why she
4:12is not going to be attending and she will be attending the Midas Touch Network
4:17event. Here's what she had to say.
4:20Let's play this clip. State of the Union is Tuesday night.
4:23Some Democrats are choosing not to attend.
4:25Are you going to go?
4:26I don't plan on attending.
4:27No. Why is that? I mean, isn't that kind of disrespectful to the institution of
4:31the presidency and the institution of Congress?
4:34I mean, I think what's disrespectful to the institution of Congress is the fact that
4:39this president and this administration do not abide by congressionally passed laws and statutes, completely
4:45have zero care or respect for the rule of law, literally are like going against
4:52court orders. That's what's disrespectful.
4:54I'm not going to sit there and listen to Donald Trump lie and try and
4:57say the economy is doing well when everyone I know in San Diego can barely
5:01get by. I'm not going to sit there and listen to him say they're going
5:03after criminals when we know the majority of people they're going after have no criminal
5:08record and they're killing U .S.
5:09citizens without any accountability. Although we'll see.
5:13We'll see what happens in terms of the killing of the citizens.
5:16And we'll see on that front.
5:17Then we heard from Senator Ruben Gallego about his boycott of the State of the
5:24Union. Here's what Senator Gallego said.
5:26Play this clip. Well, I just want to tell you to hear from me that
5:29I am not going to State of the Union, but there's more productive things I
5:32can do with my time than just sitting there for two hours and clapping on
5:36cue. Right now, this country is hurting, whether it's what's happening in Minnesota, whether it's
5:42our families that are just trying to make every dollar stretch longer, whether it's veterans
5:46trying to make sure that their benefits aren't being cut with this administration.
5:50There's a lot of work to be done, and it's not going to happen in
5:53that chamber for two hours when the president's just going to be using that bully
5:57pulpit as a way to just push further and further his agenda.
6:01So I'll be spending the time working for Arizona, spending time with my family, and
6:06look forward to continue really fighting to make sure that Americans have a chance at
6:10the American dream. Thanks. And folks, it does seem that CNN was quite mad at
6:17the Midas Touch Network and their hosts.
6:19They brought on these like professors from UCLA and some other guy, and they were
6:24like, we think that everybody should attend the State of the Union because this is
6:29how compromise is made. And this is how people in government should interact.
6:35And why are people going to be because we have a fascist freaking regime?
6:41This is not a normal government by the people for the people.
6:46This is a fascist regime with Trump putting up his photos on the Justice Department
6:52building and buildings across D .C., sending massed ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo to terrorize,
6:59torture and to kill Americans and people in this country.
7:04You got him arbitrarily imposing tariffs on the world, even when the Supreme Court rules
7:10against him, though it'll be interesting to see the Supreme Court justices there at the
7:13State of the Union. Donald Trump then says, screw you, Supreme Court.
7:17I'm going to enact more unlawful tariffs after you strike down my prior unlawful tariffs.
7:23I'm going to enact the United States Trade Act of 1974, Section 122, which doesn't
7:30apply, to impose 15 % tariffs on the entire world.
7:34And I'm going to remove the exemptions for the de minimis tariff exemption so that
7:40everybody has to pay tariffs on items $800 or less.
7:44How utterly pathetic. But anyway, I digress.
7:47CNN, Corporate News, they were pissed at us, apparently.
7:51Here play this clip. She's not going.
7:53There's a lot of other ones that are not.
7:55There's talk about alternative State of the Unions, like we had an alternative halftime show
7:58with Kid Rock. I mean, is this bad for democracy?
8:02Yeah, I don't think it's good, Alex.
8:04I this is one of the constitutionally mandated things that the president has to do.
8:11He has to report on the State of the Union to the Congress.
8:14And it doesn't say it has to be a speech in the chamber.
8:17It used to be a letter delivered by, you know, Pony Express.
8:19But it has to happen.
8:21And I think if you are a member of that chamber, it is part of
8:26your job to hear that report.
8:28And I do think, you know, people have talked a lot about, is there still
8:33appetite for, you know, when they go low, we go high?
8:36Or are we over that?
8:39And, you know, you're never over doing your job, doing it well, and trying hard
8:46to find compromise and solve people's problems.
8:49So I would say show up.
8:51Isn't there isn't that the job to show up and to try to solve problems?
8:56And by the way, there are some things that both sides agree on.
9:00I mean, last year, I remember there was a moment when the kid, the Secret
9:04Service agent kid, who has, you know, brain cancer, and they're cheering for him.
9:09And the Democrats didn't cheer for him.
9:11Like, what a sad moment that we can't even cheer for that.
9:14I don't know. I feel like it's a bad thing.
9:17Both parties are guilty of that.
9:18But it seems like a sad moment.
9:20And if we've got to find some moments to come together, we're never going to
9:22be able to tackle our problems if we don't.
9:24All right, enough of my ranting.
9:25Thank you both for being here and providing better insight than me on that.
9:30Great to see you. Have a great weekend.
9:32Thanks, Alex. Coming up. But I like the reporting by Scott McFarlane, one of the
9:38few good reporters, great reporters actually left on CBS.
9:43Here's how he describes the boycott that is picking up momentum as the Midas touch.
9:51People's state of the union is where everybody, all the Democratic leaders are going to
9:58be at. And speaking again, this is unprecedented.
10:00And this is thanks to you.
10:02Thanks so much for helping build the Midas touch network platform like this.
10:05And again, make sure you subscribe.
10:07Here's what Scott McFarlane had to say.
10:08Play this clip. We made it to the weekend.
10:10But here in Washington, next week's going to be one of those predictably big weeks.
10:14It is State of the Union week on Tuesday night.
10:17We have seen Trump give State of the Union addresses before.
10:19We have heard the president do this before.
10:22But this time it could look differently.
10:24And I think that's part of what the anticipation is for Tuesday at 9 p
10:27.m. What does it look like when there are empty seats dotting the House chamber
10:34on the floor? Because there's a rising number of Democrats who say they are about...
10:39with this and not going to the speech.
10:42And it's growing in number.
10:44April McClain Delaney of Maryland issued a statement last week saying she's not going.
10:49Ron Wyden, the senator from Oregon, said he's going to instead have a virtual town
10:53hall Tuesday with his fellow Oregon senator, Jeff Merkley, to quote, hear the actual state
10:59of the union from people in Oregon.
11:01Ruben Gallego of Arizona issued a statement saying this administration continues to disregard the rule
11:06of law and constitution. Quote, I have more productive ways to spend two hours than
11:11listening to more lies. I'll pass.
11:15Who will be in the chamber on the upper level, but somewhat traditional.
11:19You'll have guests of the members of Congress.
11:22You'll have a number of supporters of the president, people he wants to call out
11:24and call on, but also going to have some of the survivors or survivors families
11:29of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. They're going to be there, invited by Democratic members of Congress,
11:36as perhaps they try to use their visual presence as leverage to continue to press
11:41the Department of Justice to release the millions of pages of files that have not
11:45been released, to not redact so much or redact improperly.
11:50Their visual presence will be important.
11:52That will look different than past years.
11:55Survivors in the upper seats, empty seats down low.
11:58See how the president responds when there are empty chairs to hear him give his
12:03long -anticipated address. You know who is also super pissed at us?
12:07You always see him on Fox right now.
12:10Stephen A. Smith, the sports broadcaster guy, Stephen A.
12:14Smith. When Stephen A. Smith just starts like saying, I'm really angry.
12:19How childish are you being?
12:21You better show up. How are you going to say you're better than MAGA if
12:26you don't show up to the State of the Union?
12:28All right, Stephen A. Smith, what the hell are you talking about?
12:32I'm just not going to aid and abet a fascist regime.
12:37It's pretty clear. These are not normal freaking times, okay?
12:41You want to hang out, Stephen A.
12:43Smith, with the crew of people who are covering up a pedo ring, a child
12:48sex trafficking ring? You have Donald Trump out there covering up the Epstein files.
12:53You've got Donald Trump out there threatening to make Canada the 51st state, threatening our
12:59NATO allies, screwing over Ukraine, making Vladimir Putin a freaking ally, puts Putin's photo up
13:07in the Oval Office. You expect this to be business as usual?
13:12Sorry, it ain't. It ain't.
13:13The Midas Touch Network, we're here.
13:15We've arrived and we're doing things differently right now.
13:17You understand? This is how it's going to be from now on.
13:20It's not childish. It's standing on values.
13:23It's standing on principle. It's standing up for democracy, damn it.
13:27That's what this is about.
13:28But anyway, play the clip of Stephen A.
13:30Smith yelling at us. It's okay when MAGA yells at us.
13:33Here, play this clip. The president of the United States is going to give his
13:36State of the Union address and the Democrats got other planes.
13:40So some are talking about walking out in the middle of his speech.
13:44Others are talking about boycotting it all together and essentially finding something else to do.
13:50I'm here to tell you that neither is acceptable.
13:53Neither should be acceptable. At some point in time, ladies and gentlemen, there's got to
13:57be an adult in the room.
14:00If you're going to act as juvenile, as petulant, as petty, as you accuse the
14:07president of the United States to be, how are you ever going to hold a
14:11high moral ground, at least high enough to judge him accordingly?
14:16If people on the right can turn and look at you and say, you're no
14:21better, you act no better, where's it going to get you?
14:28See, these are the kind of things that end up getting people like myself and
14:32others in the news, because we're talking about getting things done.
14:34But, you know, then I recently interviewed California Governor Gavin Newsom, and here's what he
14:41had to say about the State of the Union.
14:43Let me play this clip right here for you.
14:45And we're going to I think there's going to be a hell of a State
14:48of the Union. And I imagine that's going to mean perhaps more forays overseas.
14:53I, you know, watch what happens, obviously, in Iran.
14:55But this weakness is on display.
14:58World leaders have finally figured it out, to your point about Munich cop and what
15:02happened in Davos. And the American people are seeing it on full display.
15:06When you stand up to this guy, he backs down.
15:09His great strength, if there's any, is figuring out your weakness and exploiting it.
15:16But he does not do well when people assert themselves and push back.
15:21Again, that's what the people of Minneapolis have done.
15:24And that's what's happening across this country.
15:27And that's the pathway back.
15:29Conviction, strength, clarity, purpose. Call this guy out.
15:35You know, it's interesting, as I reflect, though, on the State of the Union, and
15:39I think about Donald Trump, this demented, broken, weak, pathetic, pedo protector, sicko in the
15:50Oval Office. You know, this terrorist, this criminal, this felon, this sexual abuser in the
15:57Oval Office, Epstein's best friend.
15:59You know, when I think about it, by the way, he's been found civilly liable
16:02for sexual assault. Okay. He's separately been found in a criminal case.
16:07to be a felon, multiple felony counts, 34 felony counts.
16:11Okay, so let's stop acting like this is some normal stuff.
16:14You want to know how other countries deal with it?
16:16In South Korea, they throw people like that in jail for the rest of their
16:19lives. President Yoon in jail for the rest of his life.
16:22In Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro in jail for 27 years.
16:26That's what should have happened to Donald Trump if our Supreme Court and our justice
16:31system here actually worked in the United States.
16:33But I digress. We want to reflect on normal states of the union, what should
16:38actually be going down. Okay, let's do that actually.
16:41Because remember when MAGA was having a fit, when former President Biden gave his state
16:47of the union back in March, 2024.
16:51And he said that the wealthiest Americans shouldn't pay a lower tax rate than firefighters
16:56and teachers. And everybody was like, oh my God, can you believe what Biden's saying?
17:01Biden's saying that we want to tax rich people more.
17:05Yeah, we do. We do want to do that.
17:07Okay. And by the way, to all the firefighters and teachers and working class Americans
17:12who voted against Biden and Kamala and supported the guy who's just screwed you over
17:18royally, the fraud, the bankruptor, the lifelong con artist.
17:24By the way, here's what former President Biden said during his state of the union.
17:27I think it's worth reflecting on it, right?
17:29Here, play this clip. You know, there are 1000 billionaires in America.
17:34You know what the average federal tax is for those billionaires?
17:38No. They're making great sacrifices, 8 .2%.
17:43That's far less than the vast majority of Americans pay.
17:48No billionaire should pay a lower federal tax rate than a teacher, a sanitation worker
17:53or a nurse. I propose minimum tax for billionaires of 25%, just 25%.
18:10You know what that would raise?
18:12That would raise $500 billion over the next 10 years.
18:17And imagine what that could do for America.
18:20Imagine a future with affordable childcare.
18:23Millions of families can get, they need to go to work to help grow the
18:27economy. Imagine a future with paid leave, because no one should have to choose between
18:32working and taking care of their sick family member.
18:35Imagine, imagine the future of home care and elder care and people living with disabilities
18:42so they can stay in their homes and family caregivers can finally get the pay
18:47they deserve. Or how about when former President Biden said, the world is watching, our
18:52adversaries are watching, our allies are watching, we need to stand up for Ukraine.
18:57Here, play this clip right here.
18:59I say this to Congress, we have to stand up to Putin.
19:05Send me a bipartisan national security bill.
19:09History is literally watching. History is watching.
19:12The United States walks away.
19:15It will put Ukraine at risk.
19:17Europe is at risk. The free world will be at risk, emboldening others to do
19:21what they wish to do us harm.
19:24My message to President Putin, who I've known for a long time, is simple.
19:28We will not walk away.
19:38We will not bow down.
19:46I will not bow down.
19:52I remember when he backed the MAGA Republicans into a corner and said to them
19:59and called them out for them wanting to get rid of Medicare and Medicaid and
20:02Social Security. Remember that moment?
20:04Here, play this clip. On the other side of the aisle, I want to put
20:07Social Security on the chopping block.
20:10If anyone here tries to cut Social Security, Medicare or raise the retirement age, I
20:15will stop you. The working people who built this country pay more into Social Security
20:26than millionaires and billionaires do.
20:28It's not fair. There are a few ways to go.
20:32Republicans can cut Social Security and give more tax breaks to the wealthy.
20:37That's the proposal. Oh, no.
20:41You guys don't want another $2 trillion tax cut?
20:44I kind of thought that's what your plan was.
20:48Well, that's good to hear.
20:50And just contrast this moment right here.
20:54Remember when this is I'll go a year even before that I'll go to 2023.
20:57Remember when Kevin McCarthy was became the Speaker of the House and former President Biden
21:04greeted Kevin McCarthy with civility, with normalcy.
21:09This is the type of state of the union that makes sense to attend because
21:14this is the way government should function.
21:15Here, play this clip. Members of the Cabinet, leaders of our military, Chief Justice, Associate
21:20Justice, and retired Justice of the Supreme Court, and to you, my fellow Americans.
21:26You know, I start tonight by congratulating the 118th Congress and the new Speaker of
21:31the House, Kevin McCarthy. We'll see you next time.
21:33We'll see you next time.
21:34We'll see you next time.
21:34We'll see you next time.
21:34We'll see you next time.
21:52Speaker, I don't want to ruin your reputation, but I look forward to working with
21:55you. But you can contrast that to what Donald Trump said on Friday and the
22:03types of things will undoubtedly here at the State of the Union, where he called
22:08Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffrey's low IQ.
22:12And then the reporter goes, why don't you just work with Congress?
22:15If you want to enact tariffs, you control all branches of government.
22:20So why don't you just work with Congress?
22:22Remember what Donald Trump said?
22:24That's what I mean. He said, I don't have to.
22:27OK, so if he doesn't have to work with Congress, which is his constitutional duty,
22:32then why should Congress have to show up and hear this wannabe emperor rail about
22:39this imperial presidency, where, in my opinion, he's responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths,
22:46if not millions of deaths already, based on what he's done to USAID and based
22:51on his policies here in the United States.
22:54So you heard what he said there, right?
22:56Let's play that one. Several of Republicans in Congress have supported this decision by the
23:04Supreme Court. And Hakeem Jeffrey's, the Democratic leader, has called your old wannabe king.
23:09Why wouldn't you? I have a low IQ.
23:11But why wouldn't you? He doesn't even know.
23:13And I watched him the other day interview.
23:15The guy doesn't even know what a tariff is.
23:17But there's been bipartisan criticism.
23:19No, not bipartisan. Excuse me.
23:20There's several Republicans have said that.
23:22Yeah. A few people. Why wouldn't you just work with Congress to come up with
23:25a plan to push tariffs?
23:26I have the right to do tariffs.
23:28And I've always had the right to do tariffs.
23:29And it's all been approved by Congress.
23:31So there's no reason to do it.
23:33All we're doing is we're going through a little bit more complicated process.
23:36Not complicated very much, but a little more complicated than what we had.
23:41We'll be able to take in tariffs, more tariffs.
23:43And the Congress people and the Congress.
23:45The Canadian tariffs last week.
23:47There's been votes in Senate against it.
23:48Yeah, because we lost two Republicans or three Republicans because they're not good Republicans.
23:55And then he said, I want to be a good boy.
23:59I mean, this guy's a demented.
24:01I want to be a good boy.
24:03This is what he said on Friday playing this clip.
24:05I was very modest in my ask of other countries and businesses because I wanted
24:09to do. And it's very important.
24:13I want to be very well behaved because I wanted to do anything.
24:18I didn't want to do anything that would affect the decision of the court because
24:22I understand the court. I understand how they are very easily swayed.
24:29I want to be a good boy.
24:32Then he talks about being kissed so badly.
24:34He likes to be, he didn't want to be kissed by men.
24:37I don't even know what the hell is this guy freaking talking about here.
24:39Play this clip. Around the clock, almost seven days a week.
24:43He said, sir, I want to kiss you so badly.
24:46And I said, no, thank you.
24:49And his economic message right now, whereas in the 2024 campaign, it was in 20,
24:58we will make prices lower on day one.
25:01Everything will be better. And now that we're in year two and things are much
25:05worse, inflation once again surging.
25:08We saw the PCE readout on Friday, GDP, a pathetic 1 .4 percent, jobs recession
25:15right now, ripping away health care from people with all those promises, not just broken.
25:20His promises were fraud. Like he did the exact opposite of the things he said
25:24he was going to do.
25:25So now his economic message is next year.
25:29It's 2027 is our year.
25:31Just wait until 2027. This is what Ponzi schemers do, right?
25:35They, when the money's due, the Ponzi schemers give me a year, give me another
25:41year, just give me one more year while they try to rob Peter to pay
25:46Paul. Or in this case, when Donald Trump tries to further rob the American people
25:51and then give himself $10 billion to Qatari bank accounts for his peace board.
25:58You know that, right? That is part of his peace board.
26:00Donald Trump says the United States is sending his board of peace $10 billion, which
26:05is a bank account that he controls.
26:08So he's taking $10 billion of our taxpayer money and he's putting it in a
26:12bank account, probably located with Qatar or some other unaccountable bank account.
26:18Our $10 billion goes to him.
26:20Like, do we realize that that's already happened the same way he's taking the oil
26:24money from Delcy Rodriguez in Venezuela and he has a Qatari bank account.
26:29And so the oil money that he's stealing is being sold to his oligarch friends.
26:33And then he's taking the cash and he's putting it in a bank account in
26:37Qatar. We get that, right?
26:39Like, that's what he's doing.
26:40Like, it's an undisputed fact with Venezuela.
26:43That's what he's doing. Anyway, here, play this clip of him.
26:46That's because of tariffs and we're going to keep it going the same way.
26:49And you're going to start to see the results in a year from now when
26:52all those factories start that are under construction right now.
26:55You see all the construction numbers are so good.
26:58Well, there you have it, folks.
26:59The boycott is strong. Let's keep the boycott going.
