1:51Failed negotiations in Pakistan between the Trump regime and Iran.

1:58The Trump regime shows up and wants to change the 10 -point negotiating framework that

2:04they previously agreed to as an inducement for the ceasefire taking place.

2:10Iran refused to change the 10 -point negotiating framework.

2:14After 21 hours of negotiations, the talks were off.

2:18Apparently, there may still be some communications taking place, but Donald Trump is out there

2:24talking about obliterating Iran again and destroying their bridges and destroying the people there.

2:31Also, Donald Trump announced a full blockade of the Persian Gulf, at least as it

2:37relates to oil emanating from Iranian ports.

2:41Although people who understand maritime law and maritime routes know that's pretty hard to identify.

2:47So Trump's plan to open up the Strait of Hormuz is to further close the

2:53Strait of Hormuz by adding yet another layer of a blockage there.

2:58Meanwhile, we have Donald Trump posting that 34 ships got through the Strait of Hormuz

3:04in the past 24 hours.

3:06Do you think that that's true?

3:09Eh, because everything Donald Trump says is a lie.

3:11At most, there have been four ships which were all either aligned with Iran or

3:18Iranian flag ships, but no real movement of ships going out of the Strait of

3:24Hormuz. You know, we're going to keep monitoring.

3:27what's happening with this blockade because, you know, what happens now as China sends its

3:33ships in order to get Iranian oil?

3:35What happens if India sends its ships?

3:38What happens if other countries send its ships?

3:40Will the U .S. truly enforce its blockade or will it do what it did

3:43with the blockade of Cuba?

3:45When Russians send ships into Cuba, the U .S.

3:48backed down and allowed the Russian ships to just get into Cuba.

3:52You also have announcements that the U .S.

3:55is getting ready to have minesweepers enter the Persian Gulf and particularly the Strait of

4:02Hormuz. The U .S. Navy is apparently moving in multiple minesweeping ships.

4:07You know, as Donald Trump has behaved in perhaps the most deranged manner yet, we'll

4:14talk about that, you know, in a little bit as well, some of the posts

4:17that he's been making, you know, he's acting like Iran's been totally obliterated, is begging

4:23for anything to survive. Iran sent its top leaders to go to this negotiation or

4:31what it thought would be a negotiation in Pakistan.

4:35PhDs, people who have been diplomats for a very long period of time, they took

4:40it very seriously. You know, they have a lot of their missiles are still intact.

4:44A lot of their fast ships are still intact.

4:46And so if this is truly going to be the plan that Donald Trump is

4:50pursuing, I think it's going to lead to confrontation very soon.

4:55And my hope is that's not the case.

4:57But if Donald Trump truly intends to enter the Strait of Hormuz area with military

5:02ships, Iran's going to go after it.

5:05And perhaps that's what Donald Trump wants.

5:07Perhaps he wants to use the ships as bait.

5:08You know, during those negotiations in Pakistan, the Trump regime tried to send two naval

5:14destroyers into the Strait of Hormuz, a ship belonging to the Iranian Navy.

5:20Yes, Iran still has ships, despite what Trump and some U .S.

5:23media tells you, reached the U .S.

5:26naval destroyers and said, turn around or we're going to blow you up.

5:29And I think the, thankfully, the U .S.

5:32naval destroyer turned around, but Iran was ready to attack the naval destroyer.

5:37What would have happened if that resulted in the naval destroyer being hit?

5:41And you can imagine how quickly a war would escalate if that were to take

5:46place. And as I see these mine sweepers heading there, as I see this blockade,

5:51it seems that Trump is trying to bait Iran to attack U .S.

5:57ships using our Navy and our soldiers as the bait to try to use that

6:03as a pretext for the obliteration of Iran that he wants.

6:07I think Iran realizes that, but we'll be, of course, focused on that.

6:11But pay very close attention there.

6:13Pay very close attention to what's going on in the Red Sea and whether or

6:17not Iran will respond by trying to shut down the Strait over there.

6:21Now, I mentioned Donald Trump's been posting a bunch of deranged things.

6:24He posted AI images of himself as Jesus.

6:28He posted photos of Trump buildings on the moon.

6:32He posted random photos of Bruce Springsteen.

6:36I mean, it's been some of the most deranged things after deranged things.

6:39Lots of Catholic groups from all different Catholic sects, from conservative groups to more liberal

6:47Catholic groups all said, take this down immediately.

6:50It's blasphemous. What the heck are you doing?

6:52Donald Trump did delete it, but then in an interview said he never thought that

6:57the image of him was being Jesus.

6:59He said he was pretending to be a Red Cross doctor, healing patients, not Jesus.

7:05Jesus. is what he said.

7:07I mean, again, it's such a level of deranged lies.

7:10It's hard to even fathom.

7:12I mean, he was at a UFC fight while these critical negotiations were taking place

7:16in Pakistan, and Trump's secretary of state was at the UFC fighting with him.

7:21I mean, talk about disrespect to the negotiation process where your secretary of state is

7:27literally with you at a UFC fight.

7:29And as Donald Trump was heading in, the UFC crowd was not really cheering for

7:33him. Dana White had to hold Donald Trump's hand because it seemed like Trump was

7:37going to be falling at certain points in time.

7:40And then Donald Trump held this press conference today where he had a DoorDash employee

7:45who calls herself a DoorDash grandma.

7:47And she said she had to work at DoorDash because her husband had stage three

7:52cancer and she couldn't afford the medical bills.

7:55And so working at DoorDash was the only way to keep her husband alive, which

7:59tells you a lot about our health care system here in the United States of

8:03America. I don't think it was the press conference that Trump thought he was going

8:06to get for a lot of reasons.

8:08And Trump's poll numbers continue to tank, especially among young people.

8:11I mean, it's as bad as you can be.

8:13And that's where we are heading into the midterms.

8:16We're going to talk about that.

8:17We'll also talk about in the show, Congress member, or I should say former Congress

8:22member Swalwell now resigning for Congress.

8:24He put out a statement saying that he plans to resign.

8:28I don't know what that means.

8:29It means I think he's resigning.

8:31And we'll cover his dropping out of the governor's race, his resignation, and what went

8:37down there as well. Horrible, horrible stuff.

8:41And our hearts go out to all the victims, all of the survivors out there,

8:44and everybody who, you know, stepped forward, and anybody who's gone through those heinous acts.

9:16And every move that Donald Trump makes just seems more and more desperate.

9:21And the thing that really bothers me right now is seeing, you know, just from

9:24a point of view of like an American who enjoyed our alliances, the thing that

9:29really upsets me is seeing all of these allies move on without the United States.

9:35This whole idea with America first has clearly become America alone.

9:40And Donald Trump thinks that America alone can conquer and invade all of these other

9:45countries, which wasn't even what the whole America first thing was all about.

9:50Honestly, like who the hell even supports this guy at this point?

9:53Like, what are you doing?

9:54I'm watching him offend every single group out here.

9:58And, you know, the discourse around this photo that Donald Trump posted where he positioned

10:04himself as Jesus in this photo.

10:07You know, I understand the fallout from the photo, and I'm showing it here for

10:11the audio listeners. I'm sure you've seen it.

10:14I certainly understand the fallout from this photo.

10:17But this guy is a walking, talking violation of the Ten Commandments every freaking day.

10:23Do we need this photo to realize that the guy is blasphemous?

10:26Do we need this photo to realize that this guy is against any sort of

10:30moral teachings, no matter what your religion, or if you don't even have a religion?

10:35This guy is against everything, single tenant of any semblance of morality imaginable.

10:42So I don't understand why it takes the posting of this.

10:44image to be like, oh, he shouldn't have done that.

10:46When he lives like this all the time.

10:50Okay, we got a lot to talk about.

10:51Jordy, I'm going to first toss it over to you.

10:53What's the latest? What's up, brothers?

10:55What's up, Midas Mighty? Pumped to get into tonight's show.

10:57I'm a little under the weather, brothers, Midas Mighty.

10:59You can kind of hear it in my voice, so apologies.

11:02Look, there's not a day that goes by where Donald Trump doesn't embarrass us as

11:06a country, as a people, as a species.

11:10Everything this man does is just, it's a humiliation ritual that he puts us all

11:14through. We'll get into all of it.

11:17I mean, just to give you an example, I woke up this morning.

11:19This is how I wake up now, too.

11:20I wake up. My beautiful pregnant wife is laying next to me.

11:24She's waking up. She turns over.

11:26Go, good morning. She goes, good morning.

11:28I go, so Donald Trump attacked the Pope last night and then spent eight hours

11:32just rage tweeting. And she's like, oh, okay.

11:35So it's a Tuesday or it's a Monday.

11:37It's every single day. This guy just, it's totally unhinged behavior.

11:42And I feel like we've all kind of grown like accustomed to it as gross

11:45as that sounds, but not the collective we here at the network and we, the

11:49Midas Mighty in this pro -democracy community who are just outraged at all of this.

11:53So I'm excited to get into tonight's show.

11:55Benji, where do you want to start off?

11:57One of the things I didn't mention in the intro, which we should talk about

12:00right away is the incredible victory of the pro -democracy party, the TISA party in

12:06Hungary. Peter Magyar, the new prime minister of Hungary, prevailing and not just prevailing, but

12:13winning big with the super majorities that were needed and taking over a parliament there.

12:19It's going to be able to dramatically change Hungary for the better, moving it in

12:24a pro -European union direction, a pro -democracy direction.

12:29And from the outset, the new prime minister, Peter Magyar said that our country wants

12:36to live again. It wants to be a European country again.

12:39As the crowd was chanting, go home, Russia, Russia, go home.

12:44He was also saying that we're not going to be having CPAC events anymore or

12:49any of these right -wing events here.

12:53He said he's going to hold everybody from Viktor Orban's government accountable if they've engaged

12:59in traitorous and treasonous conduct in helping Putin.

13:04And he started off by saying, formerly, press conferences worked in a way that propaganda

13:09media asked questions that were written for them by the government.

13:14We will now give the floor to those Hungarian outlets who are still independent.

13:19I thought, what a great way to start the press conference there.

13:23And it was so incredible to see the young people of Hungary really fuel this

13:27movement. That's really at the core of this big victory.

13:31You know, and here at the Midas Touch Network, we've spent a lot of attention

13:36focused on international affairs, right?

13:38In addition to focusing on the Middle East and Asia and South America and Africa

13:47and Europe and elsewhere, you know, we've been paying very close attention to elections like

13:54this for months and months and months, letting you know this election was coming, who

13:58the people were, the difference between the TISA party and the Fidesz party, what Viktor

14:05Orban was trying to pull.

14:06And I think it's been such great feedback also to hear from the Midas mighty

14:11in Hungary. Shout out to all of you and building these bridges here at the

14:16network, right? With, I think, Canada really leading the way.

14:19And what an incredible speech that you had, you had Prime Minister Carney.

14:22Thank you. liver. But one of the most important things when Donald Trump became president

14:29again, sadly, but one of the important things we dedicated to was this international coverage

14:34because we recognized that Donald Trump was going to try to destroy a stable world

14:40order. And we had to be on the front lines covering what a shifting global

14:45order looked like. And so what we've been seeing, Brett, as you said, America first

14:50has meant America alone. And we've seen all of these international agreements and movements basically

15:00making the United States smaller.

15:03As Donald Trump has tried to huff and puff his chest, we've seen all of

15:09these links, transatlantic, trans -Pacific, Canada, Australia, bringing everybody together.

15:15So shout out to the great folks in Hungary.

15:17One of the things we've been covering as well, the Pope and the dynamic.

15:21Before we get away from Hungary, I want to talk about Hungary for a second,

15:24because I think what people in the United States should take away from Hungary and

15:28shout out to the people of Hungary.

15:30I know we have a lot of listeners in Hungary.

15:31We've got to figure out a cool name for the Midas Hungarians out there, but

15:35shout out for standing up for your democracy.

15:38But I think here in the United States, there are lessons to be learned from

15:41this. And I just want to say it in this way.

15:44In Hungary, Viktor Orban did all the things that Donald Trump is doing in the

15:49United States. He cracked down on the free press.

15:52He had people in those briefing rooms who were asking questions, who were propaganda press,

15:57who would have like pre -screened questions or questions approved by the government that they

16:01would ask him. It's the same thing like when they have these Pentagon press briefings

16:05and the people they call on are Breitbart, the daily caller, random Twitter influencers, and

16:11not the actual press. They don't even allow them in the room.

16:14Orban did that. Orban also engaged in this heavy sort of gerrymandering, similar to in

16:19the United States, which made the Fidesz party a lot more powerful.

16:23And it made it so that even if people voted in massive numbers, they tried

16:28to rig the game so that even if there was a lower percentage of people

16:33voting for Orban's party, that they could still win a majority of the seats.

16:38So I think those two things right there, I could go down a longer list,

16:41but I think those two things right there should bring a bell as to what's

16:45happening here in the United States.

16:47And the reason I want to bring that up is because despite all of that,

16:51the people of Hungary rose up in numbers that were so undeniable, that the numbers

16:59were so big, the victory was such a blowout that even Viktor Orban had to

17:07do what Donald Trump could not build up the courage to do, and that's concede,

17:13admit defeat. And I think that's a lesson that we have to learn here, that

17:17people need to show up in numbers to defend democracy.

17:20It is an active role that you must play.

17:23It's not, I'm going to vote in this one election.

17:25It's, I'm going to get to the polls in every election.

17:27I'm going to show up for every ballot initiative.

17:29Hey, I might run for office.

17:31I'm going to support these candidates.

17:32I'm going to get this information out.

17:34It's an active role that we all play.

17:36And I love seeing this blueprint now for pro -democracy build in Hungary, in Canada,

17:42and across the world. So shout out to the international Midas Mighty.

17:45Also, and Brett, I know you said that basically in your answer right there.

17:49What a gigantic rebuke of Trumpism, right?

17:51This creeping sense of fascism globally.

17:54Like this was a global rebuke of that in real time.

17:57And it was just so incredible, you know, to, to, to.

18:01Witness, quite frankly. Vance went there and the odds of Orban went immediately.

18:06Vance went there. I mean, but it's sort of what the tendencies that we've seen,

18:10especially a lot in these special elections that happen here in the States.

18:14When Trump starts to align himself politically with certain candidates, there's a certain stench that

18:19gets on that person that they can't wipe off.

18:22And so it's been very interesting to see that play out globally as well on

18:25an even larger stage. Hey, look, you had Vance in Hungary backing Orban.

18:30You had Rubio in Hungary backing Orban.

18:33You had Netanyahu backing Orban.

18:36You had Netanyahu's son as one of the headliners at CPAC in Hungary backing Orban.

18:43You basically had Hungary under Orban paying for and sponsoring CPAC, the Conservative Political Action

18:50Committee, doing kind of international election interference and manipulation events.

18:55That's my opinion of it, of what they were doing in Hungary, where all the

18:59right wing influencers showed up and all the same type of CPAC stuff they do

19:04here in the United States.

19:05They were doing it over there.

19:06And the people of Hungary saw what was happening and they rejected it.

19:10And I was mentioning as well, we've been covering how Pope Leo XIV has not

19:16been a new thing. I mean, he's been standing up to the Trump regime with

19:19the cardinals and the bishops as well against Donald Trump's ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo

19:24kidnapping and killing people off the street, throwing people in concentration camps.

19:29Catholic priests in the United States have been on the front lines in immigration court

19:34standing up to ICE. They've been at the ICE detention centers, those concentration camps on

19:39the outside, protesting or demanding to be able to access the people who have been

19:45kidnapped by the Trump regime so that they could, you know, pray together.

19:49And whether you're religious or not religious or no religion at all, you know, here

19:53on the Midas Touch Network, what we always talk about is love and empathy.

19:58And just being a kind person and a caring person and looking out, you know,

20:03for each other. And I think it's a great thing when you have someone in

20:06a powerful position like the Pope and other influential community leaders at the bishop level

20:11and priest level and cardinal level, of course, standing up to the Trump regime.

20:15And Donald Trump hates it.

20:17It's why Donald Trump was spending the weekend attacking the Pope.

20:20There was a 60 -minute special with the Pope's top three cardinals in the United

20:25States on 60 minutes. And Trump obviously saw that.

20:28And he was very sensitive to being criticized.

20:30And so that's why Donald Trump posted a photo of himself as Jesus, because Trump

20:35was sending a message that he sees himself as Jesus Christ.

20:38I mean, that's – and Trump's posted images of himself, AI.

20:43He's posted himself as the Pope before.

20:44He's posted – he's made images like this.

20:46So I know everyone knows it's BS when he goes, oh, I thought it was

20:50a doctor. I thought it was a Red Cross worker.

20:52But, like, he has a history of doing things like this.

20:55And it seems like the media site – and we – I think Ben reports

20:58on this just about every morning, Donald Trump's deranged posts every single morning.

21:02But it seems like selectively, like, the media and people in MAGA world decide, oh,

21:07I'm going to decide to get angry about this one.

21:09I'll make this one a news cycle.

21:11I could show you 100 other posts that are equally as insane, as deranged as

21:17that one. And, like, this whole concept that he's going to get the Pope to

21:21support his war of aggression against Iran is, like, the most bizarre framing imaginable.

21:28It's like asking – it's like asking, like, a vegan to judge a hot dog

21:34eating contest or something. Like, do you know what the Pope does?

21:37The Pope isn't Mr. War Monger.

21:39okay like trump's posting the pope is weak on crime the pope is weak on

21:45this the pope the pope isn't your little maga puppet that just does what you

21:49want the pope is the pope like what are we doing here where we have

21:52the president of the united states attacking the pope if i believe if i was

21:58if i were a christian and i believed in the antichrist i would have to

22:03like i would have to be like this guy's the antichrist like by every by

22:06any objective metric like and all the signs are there i don't know how people

22:10aren't picking up on this by the way if this if this ai generated image

22:15of trump being the pope is the straw that that broke the proverbial camel's back

22:19here for maga to get upset with i'm okay with that like like if they

22:23if they want to finally wake up or at least certain you know people in

22:27the community want to wake up and be like hey that's not right i agree

22:31we've been saying that welcome to the club this is insane yeah i mean there

22:37was the story back in january where after the pope gave a kind of state

22:42of the world address uh trump's defense department uh called one of the top uh

22:49officials from the holy see from the vatican for the united states like basically the

22:53equivalent of their ambassador to the united states and you had this guy elbridge colby

22:58who's like the number two at the defense department which unlawfully calls itself the department

23:01of war according to people in the room the defense department top officials said that

23:07uh you know if this pope doesn't want to become another avignon papacy he better

23:13align himself with donald trump or else the avenue and papacy 14th century france where

23:18the pope was kidnapped and killed by the french and the papacy the holy see

23:23was moved to france and uh and moved away from the vatican and so that

23:29statement rightfully was interpreted as a threat on the pope's life within the vatican and

23:34uh but the pope leo the 14th has not been backing down he's been making

23:37a lot a lot more statements out there i mean you know it's it's wild

23:41though when you see the president of the united states making these posts attacking the

23:46pope and going after the pope and then saying i don't like the pope whatever

23:50he's a bad guy and then seeing like the iranian president make a post like

23:55this your excellency pope leo the 14th on behalf of the great nation of iran

23:59i condemn the insult to your excellency and declare that the desecration of jesus peace

24:06be upon him the prophet of peace and brotherhood is unacceptable to any free person

24:11i wish glory for you from allah now you may be saying ben you're gonna

24:17fall for that that's the iranian president of course it's propaganda he doesn't really mean

24:22those words why are you gonna show us that and i'll just say this in

24:27war and in peace we would be naive if we didn't recognize that propaganda is

24:34tools used by governments we should be able to deconstruct those here as an independent

24:40media company use our own objective analytical legal tools and frameworks to try to describe

24:47what's really happening and be fearless in calling that out but when you're trying to

24:54persuade when you're trying to gain favor and build support i think it's important to

25:01conduct yourself certain ways and when you have the leader of the united states conducting

25:07his behavior in this way attacking everyone and everything with weird memes and you know

25:13this abhorrent behavior then you say okay well what are they doing over there because

25:18You know, Trump and Netanyahu and everybody wants to depict these people as savages, as

25:25killers, as maniacs who just want nuclear Armageddon.

25:29And they're the worst people ever.

25:31And I look and I see Donald Trump and Netanyahu talking about annihilation and destruction.

25:37And I'll take your bridge down and I've got you and I'm going to crumble

25:40your civilization and we loiter over you and we rain down hell and we will

25:45murder all of you. I mean, that's like literally what Trump and Exit the Netanyahu

25:50say, like they say those things.

25:52Right. And then on the other hand, I'm like, OK, let me look to see

25:55what's let me see what they're saying over there.

25:57You know, and they're out there making comments like Your Excellency Pope Leo XIV, we

26:02stand in solidarity to you.

26:03And I understand that, like, I'm not naive to the way, you know, propaganda works.

26:09I'm not naive to it, but I also think it's very curious that the Trump

26:14regime is behaving precisely the way they've stereotyped the way Iran is behaving.

26:20And I'm just making that observation throughout this whole process that Donald Trump is the

26:26one who appears to be like an unhinged lunatic in absolutely in absolutely everything.

26:31I mean, look, look at what he calls in over the weekend after the failed

26:35negotiations because he wanted to change the negotiating framework with Iran.

26:40He induced them into a negotiation.

26:42Trump posted, I agree to their 10 point framework.

26:45I think that is a suitable place to begin negotiations.

26:49Trump posted that. And then Trump reposted the Iranian foreign minister, Iraq, she's post to

26:55induce this negotiation to ceasefire conversation.

26:59And then Trump wanted to change it because Trump realized, I get it, these 10

27:03points like Iran keeps the strain of her moves, enriches uranium, keeps all of its

27:08missiles, long term security guarantees for Iran, Hezbollah and all its other proxies, full reparation.

27:15U .S. leaves its bases.

27:16You know, I get it.

27:17You know, Trump's like, we can't really do those.

27:19But you agree to him.

27:21You agree to those things.

27:22So Iran showed up thinking that those were going to be the framework.

27:25I don't think they were naive that you were going to change the framework, but

27:28they didn't deviate outside of it.

27:31And then Donald Trump and, you know, and afterwards, J .D.

27:34Vance were like, they wouldn't accept the conditions we imposed on them.

27:38That right there is one of the fatal flaws of the negotiations that you wanted

27:42to impose said conditions on them versus treat this as a mediation.

27:46And also, when Donald Trump makes these posts like we've sunk their ships and we're

27:51going to blockade you and their leaders are dead and we're going to kill all

27:55of you and whatever. Look, if your objective is war and you want to speak

28:01like a war criminal or a warmonger and you believe the solution is war and

28:06that's how you're going to talk, then I reject that as the way that human

28:13beings should talk. I will protest it and I will call it out as a

28:17human being in terms of a conduct of behavior.

28:20But at least your words are logically aligned with your actions of war.

28:26Right. We all understand that.

28:27But when you posture to a negotiating framework and you say, we're going to destroy

28:33the hell out of you in a mediation, we're going to pound you to the

28:37ground in a negotiated setting.

28:39Well, sorry, that's not a negotiation then.

28:41So if you want to make your words congruent with the negotiation, then you have

28:47to treat the other side respectfully.

28:50You have to recognize the other side's right to exist.

28:53You can say the only reason we're keeping the negotiation.

28:56negotiators on the other side alive is to cut the deal that we want, because

29:01then you won't be able to ever make a deal that way with the other

29:06side that's showing up because they want to be treated like equals.

29:09And if you're like, well, why would we treat them that way?

29:13You're showing up to a negotiation.

29:14If you don't want to treat them that way, don't show up to negotiation.

29:17But it's kind of like the most basic aspect of everything, right?

29:21So while, you know, and I've seen all of these things, right, that it's like

29:24the negotiations are still ongoing, which I just think is a market manipulation play.

29:29It's still ongoing. It's still ongoing.

29:31I mean, I watched Donald Trump go on Maria Bartiroma, and trust me, so do

29:35the Iranians. Like, they're studying all of these words.

29:38They're studying what he's saying.

29:40And so Trump goes on Maria Bartiroma, and he's being asked questions about, you know,

29:45what's going to happen with the tankers headed to the Gulf of Mexico, that Donald

29:53Trump calls the Gulf of America.

29:55So what's happening here? And just watch what Donald Trump says.

29:58Let's play it. Because you referred to a post that hundreds of super tankers are

30:03headed to the Gulf of America to buy oil and gas from the US.

30:06What can you tell us about that, sir?

30:08Well, I can tell you that it used to be called the Gulf of Mexico.

30:11That's what I can tell you.

30:12Now it's called the Gulf of America because of me, one of my little things

30:15that I did, you know, one of my little sidelines.

30:18And it's a great honor.

30:19People are so happy. You go to Louisiana, you go to Florida, you go to

30:22these states, Texas, they're so honored by it.

30:25I used to say, why is that the Gulf of Mexico when we have 93

30:30% of the frontage? And, you know, it fronts 93 % in the United States.

30:35I said, I think I'm going to change it to the Gulf of America.

30:39What a beautiful name. And I did.

30:41And I give a lot of credit to Google because once I filed the papers,

30:45I did it. And Google Map, once Google Map changed, you know, we did it.

30:49It was, it was a done deal.

30:51But we had, we had lawsuits.

30:54We had lost, we won everything.

30:55And it's now the Gulf of America, which I'm very, which I'm very honored by.

31:01But do you expect super tankers?

31:03I must tell you, I was thinking about calling it the Gulf of Trump.

31:06And I decided not to do it.

31:09I think maybe it was a wise, I think that one maybe wouldn't have worked

31:13out. I'm not so sure you'll have to tell me, but I was thinking about,

31:15it's going to be called the Gulf of Trump.

31:18And then I said, you know, that's not going to play too well.

31:20For those listening on audio, Maria Bartiromo is looking at him like he is a

31:25very sick patient, like in hospice care or like in the, she's the nurse and

31:30the person saying things that are, you know, kind of very frightening to the nurse

31:35and the nurse looking like, Oh, no.

31:36Okay. Okay. Donald. Like, how do you, I mean this objectively, how are you supposed

31:43to negotiate or do anything with that, with that human being, right?

31:48Like, how do you have any rational conversation with, with that?

31:52The short answer is, is you can't, and we can't and shouldn't as a country

31:57normalize that. It's not just the post of him saying he's Jesus or the hospitals

32:05on the moon or asking about Bruce Springsteen plastic surgeries or whatever deranged things he's

32:11post. It is, is this individual fit to be a leader?

32:18No, yet alone the leader of these United States of America.

32:22No, that's not a political position that I hold.

32:25It's just an observation of whatever the hell that is.

36:51very basic question that's on the minds of a lot of americans um what's going

36:56to happen with the price of of gas what's going to happen with the price

36:59per barrel of oil and you know we've always been talking about the eerie similarities

37:06of this and and covid remember right before uh right before easter donald trump was

37:13like we're going to bend the curve like a miracle it's going to go away

37:16easter's the date it's done and then easter passed and then afterwards if you recall

37:22he kind of just pretended it wasn't happening right he went through all of this

37:25then he just kind of like yeah we're just not going to deal with it

37:28right now you know one of the things i think about is donald trump's first

37:32term and how he dealt with kim jong -un who now has nuclear weapons in

37:39north korea right and we don't really even talk about it anymore but it went

37:43from when obama was in office if kim jong -un did any missile tests at

37:49all it was a front page story in every newspaper the lead story on fox

37:55state regime media and mace and basically all outlets oh my god he's going to

37:58get a nuclear weapon he's going to get a nuclear weapon right during donald trump's

38:02first administration trump let the guy get nuclear weapons he got the nuclear weapons he

38:06was able to build them under donald trump trump became like good friends with him

38:09he's got the nuclear weapons and now like it's not even talked about anymore and

38:14i think like for donald trump if you follow his life where he bankrupts things

38:19and bankrupts other things and then moves on to the next thing i actually think

38:24an ideal resolution for donald trump is as follows you have this purported blockade that's

38:30basically there and you don't really enforce it all that much and people just stop

38:35thinking about it it's like ah just trump being trump but meanwhile ships aren't leaving

38:41the strait of hormuz you know i think that eventually people start developing other routes

38:46whether it's more ships going into the red sea gas prices go up then it's

38:51just basically accepted that this is like the new norm that we all just accept

38:55you know that uh lots of travel doesn't happen anymore through that strait in terms

39:00of you know oil and maritime it gets shifted elsewhere prices generally go up and

39:05then donald trump blames it on democrats or whoever he blames on it in a

39:08given moment right that's to me his behavior brett let me toss it over to

39:12you yeah i mean the thing is everything that donald trump does is a fraud

39:15and there was a reason why throughout the campaign we'd make an effort and scream

39:19from the mountaintops that all the events that donald trump's doing trump was doing were

39:23fake that he did a event with union auto workers and there weren't union auto

39:28workers in the event that he would go to these bodegas and that it would

39:31all be a setup that the whole mcdonald's stunt that he did was fake and

39:35we called that out because you have to understand donald trump's pathology and it plays

39:39now unfortunately into global affairs and into um things that have actually like nuclear stakes

39:46at the moment which is not a position you want to be in so when

39:49donald trump goes into you want to be in so when donald trump goes into

39:50these negotiations when he's taught you is speaking about what's going on in the strait

39:54of her moves when he's talking about any of this stuff you have to understand

39:57like how are you supposed to negotiate with someone who's just a fraud how are

40:01you supposed to negotiate with somebody who just makes everything up and i think that's

40:05the issue that right now the world is encountering with donald trump it's the issue

40:10that trump had quite frankly with canada it's the issues that he was having uh

40:14with iran it's the issues that he's having with greenland i mean you name the

40:18country you name whatever the situation is they're all caused by trump and they all

40:23stem from just being not able to trust the guy at all because he's delusional

40:28he's deranged he makes things up he lies he lies lies lies even today's stunt

40:34that they did at the white house was a lie it was another fraud perpetrated

40:38on the american people donald trump at the white house today he did this whole

40:42stunt where oh look this door dash driver came to the white house coincidentally and

40:47she wanted to praise me for tax on tips it was this uh grandma sweet

40:52lady and uh she wanted to praise me for tax on tips and how convenient

40:56that it's almost tax day and and this door dash uh lady wants to praise

41:00me for tax on tips i'm so glad it helped your family well when you

41:04do just a cursory check on what was going on here first you see that

41:07door dash themselves was promoting this so it was clearly set up between door dash

41:12and the administration and then you look further and you realize that the whole thing

41:17was set up to begin with you see um you know the the woman and

41:22i'm you know not going to say anything about her i'm just talking about trump

41:24here but you see this woman right here who is delivering uh the food to

41:28donald trump this mcdonald's well she came from arkansas uh she wasn't in dc uh

41:34door dash drivers from arkansas don't drive from arkansas to washington dc so in order

41:39to find somebody who supported a trump policy they had to find someone in arkansas

41:42and bring them over and then it turns out when you dig a little deeper

41:46on this issue oh this woman has also been in hearings for the gop where

41:51she has pushed gop policies like this post in july 2025 where a representative david

41:59kustoff wrote during the ways and means gop field hearing in nevada i had the

42:04privilege of speaking from sharon about how the one big beautiful bill will make a

42:08real difference in her life and so we see how like they're using the same

42:14cast of characters and they're bringing them from state to state to promote republican policies

42:19this is all a setup it's all a scam and it's all also pushed by

42:24this propaganda media that tries to act like it's normal and i was actually watching

42:28fox as they presented it and i was like wow this is like this is

42:33like this is how fox really operates you see how they go from this mcdonald's

42:37delivery and then you go wow you know it's just like you know it's so

42:41great to see these policies just helping the everyday american like there's no tax on

42:45tips thing you know i know a lot of people are probably feeling pretty good

42:48about now about this trump economy yeah sure there are a little bit of bumps

42:52there a few bumps out there because of this whole war thing but you know

42:55there's more money out there and you're about to get rich this is the scam

42:59that they're all pulling on the american people and if you're not in tune with

43:03it i could see how you could fall under the spell but that's why it's

43:07important to continue to expose the fraud when we see the fraud and i'm happy

43:12that more people are now paying attention to it but this is the issue now

43:16with all these negotiations we used to at least be able to trust when the

43:20united states government said something happened in negotiation we could kind of trust that it

43:24was at least in the realm of like reality that we were living in the

43:27same like universe now unfortunately when they say something, when the United States government says

43:32something, I got to go like, wait a sec, we got to wait till see

43:37what Iran says. And then I need to wait to see what an independent mediator

43:40says, because I don't believe this.

43:42And like clockwork, you could also say, oh, Trump made a threat.

43:45This is likely to tank the market.

43:47So I'm just going to go out there on a limb and say that, I

43:51don't know, about an hour or two before the markets open tomorrow, that we're going

43:56to see a news story that says something like, it's probably going to come from

43:59Barak Ravid of Axios. And it's going to say something like a US official told

44:03me that we're actually close in talks now.

44:07And there might be some more talks coming up.

44:09So don't you worry, it's right around the corner.

44:12And I just need to like, facepalm and go, why are people falling for this

44:17crap? This is the biggest fraud perpetrated on the American people on the entire world.

44:23And it continues to be pushed out.

44:25Like it's normal. Like all of this is normal.

44:28And none of this is normal.

44:31And I also want to reflect on a quick story too, that just isn't getting

44:34enough attention. And that's while Trump is going out there and attacking all of our

44:39allies, just wrecking all of our alliances.

44:41There's a big story that's not getting, I haven't seen it covered once.

44:46I saw it covered in the Guardian, but I haven't seen it on TV once.

44:49I've not heard anybody speak about it.

44:51And that's it. This week, starting today, 189 countries are in Washington DC for the

44:57IMF and World Bank spring meetings.

44:59And the delegates at these meetings have been told quietly not to even bring up

45:05climate change because they don't want to trigger Donald Trump or the United States.

45:08So they're at this major global finance summit in Washington DC, super important.

45:14And the White House is essentially forcing them to either pick a fight with the

45:18United States or shut up about climate change.

45:21And they are being forced right now to like sneak any sort of clean energy

45:25priorities through the back door.

45:27And so like, what do I even mean by sneak climate priorities through the back

45:31door? Well, Lord Stern, a former World Bank chief economist laid it out.

45:36You basically, you fund the metro systems in overcrowded cities.

45:39You invest in agriculture, forest, water infrastructure, public transport.

45:43You do all of these things, but you make sure that you don't use the

45:46word climate, or you don't use the word green energy or clean energy or anything

45:50like that. Because all these things help the climate, but they don't want to upset

45:55little fragile Donald in the Oval Office and have any money go away from all

46:01of this. So the strategy is like, okay, we're going to try to do the

46:03right thing, but let's not say the quiet part loud.

46:06We don't want to trigger the White House.

46:08Just keep your head down.

46:09Hope the money keeps flowing.

46:11And this is just another part of the insanity.

46:13We're talking about the World Bank, the single biggest source of climate funding on the

46:17planet. The institution 189 countries are counting on to help it.

46:22$1 .3 trillion a year target was agreed to in the last UN Climate Summit.

46:27And now even its own staff are doing these ridiculous linguistic gymnastics just to avoid

46:33upsetting one guy in the Oval Office.

46:36And obviously this is happening in the midst of this oil crisis where we don't

46:42know what's going to happen.

46:43We already know oil prices are through the roof.

46:45There are going to be massive shortages.

46:48And they're telling right now the World Bank, where the U .S.

46:52controls 17 % of the capital, to get back into financing gas, oil, and coal,

46:57because now Scott Besant is demanding it on behalf of Donald Trump.

47:02And so now these senior officials are self -censoring themselves.

47:05And the whole thing is just completely absurd.

47:08And it's going to really - honestly it's going to affect a lot of countries

47:11who rely on this funding to help them prevent climate disasters and once again it's

47:17all because donald trump lives in the in these delusions he lives in this invented

47:22reality and he expects the whole world to go along and unfortunately far too long

47:28people go along with his bs because they're afraid of the backlash like a mob

47:33boss well said be look if trump spent more time just focusing on real substantive

47:40like solutions to things instead of trying to dupe the american people or to dupe

47:45the world stage uh like just trying to trick them into thinking what he's doing

47:50is good like we could be in like a good spot like like if he

47:52just focused and everyone focused around him and everyone just wanted to put their best

47:56foot forward but no the guy has to be a total freaking lunatic man like

47:59the trump regime and trump they remind me of the kid class that would spend

48:04more time like scheming about how to cheat on the test versus just putting that

48:08same time and effort in into actually just studying for the test and well the

48:13difference here is when we fail the test we're now failing the american people we're

48:18failing our troops we're failing our citizens we're failing the world and we lose all

48:22of our credibility it has been a global embarrassment what trump has done and it

48:27continues to do every single day bet well think about also some of the big

48:32lies thus far and there's so many of them but obviously when trump said there

48:36would be doge dividend checks and all americans would get five thousand dollars or there

48:42would be these tariff rebate checks or tariff dividend checks that so much money would

48:47come in that everybody would get all of this money directly handed to them think

48:52about donald trump saying 90 deals in 90 days we promise you there's basically been

48:58no deals in 90 days in terms of written trade deals that actually take the

49:04form of what we would consider to be a traditional trade agreement they made a

49:08bunch of press releases like seven press releases that were non -binding and are not

49:13being enforced and then donald trump basically made up a bunch of numbers and he

49:18would say we brought in 17 trillion dollars or 21 trillion dollars and he would

49:23say saudi arabia offered us five trillion dollars or qatar offered us two trillion dollars

49:29more money by multiples of what the actual underlying gdp is of these nations and

49:36so there was always that taking place last year and we were always on the

49:40front line saying fake deal fake deal fake deal we're not bringing in trillions of

49:45dollars this is all part of the ponzi scheme that he uh is doing you

49:49know there's one other post that donald trump made there's been many actually but the

49:53one that's not getting a lot of attention though that to me probably deserves to

49:57because it goes to his psyche as well he made this weird post about ed

50:01mcmahon and how donald trump in 2008 found ed mcmahon you know johnny carson's sidekick

50:08who was destitute in his final years of life and his home was being foreclosed

50:13on in beverly hills in 2008 and donald trump says that he bought ed mcmahon's

50:19home in 2008 because he loved ed mcmahon and as a student in wharton business

50:25school donald trump said ed mcmahon was someone i'd watch while i was studying for

50:30my exams so i bought ed mcmahon's home so he wouldn't get foreclosed on and

50:36allowed him to live out the rest of his life in this home just out

50:41of the good will and donald trump reposts something that says this is a side

50:46of donald trump you never saw before.

50:48He never went to the media about this.

50:50He did it quietly. He gave Ed McMahon the best final years of his life

50:55by buying a home for Ed McMahon and letting him live there.

50:59Trump didn't go to the media, understated, selfless, incredible human being.

51:04Trump reposted that. The entire story is fake, is all not accurate.

51:10The real story is in 2008, Donald Trump ran to the LA Times to seek

51:16publicity for himself, as that was a particular period of time when Donald Trump was

51:22being viewed as a total loser.

51:23He was trying to reinvent himself and saying, ah, look how great I am, this,

51:27that, and the other. I need better press.

51:29Donald Trump runs to the LA Times, leaks this story that he's going to buy

51:34the home and that he's about to buy it.

51:37The true story is Donald Trump doesn't buy it.

51:40He leaves Ed McMahon destitute hanging.

51:43Ed McMahon's real estate agents are like, didn't you promise to buy this house?

51:48Trump just wanted the story in the LA Times.

51:50Somebody else ended up buying the house from Ed McMahon.

51:53And Ed, there was a, there was a headline in CBS from 2008 that was

51:57like, Donald Trump does not buy Ed McMahon's home after Trump leaked it to the

52:02LA Times. And then Ed McMahon's daughter is quoted as saying, when dad was going

52:07to lose his house in Beverly Hills, Donald Trump said he was going to buy

52:11it because he was such a big fan of dad's and he didn't want dad

52:16to lose the house. And of course that was a lie is what Claudia McMahon

52:22said. So here we are, 2026, Donald Trump is at a UFC fight during a

52:29failed negotiation with Iran over an unlawful war that Donald Trump started as Donald Trump

52:35is attacking the Pope. And he's posting on social media, a fake story from 2008

52:43about helping Ed McMahon save his home from foreclosure, which is entirely false.

52:49I just want you to think about how deranged that is.

52:53Okay. And if Obama, if Biden, if George W.

52:58Bush, if Clinton, if anybody posted like that, it would be game set match impeach

53:0525th amendment. See you absolutely.

53:09Could you imagine if Biden just posted the Ed McMahon story, just that alone, that

53:14would see you later. It would be the 25th amendment would be vote yesterday.

53:18What are we talking about here?

53:20And you know, one of the things, and we'll talk about this a little bit

53:23when we come back from, from break though, that I think Iran is doing during

53:29this war, which is a fascinating kind of asymmetrical digital strategy though, is the constant

53:35mockery of the Trump regime showing what Donald Trump is as a clown, because that's

53:43the only way you can deal with such a cloud and not embrace it.

53:46I mean, I saw one of their embassies posting Trump, $20 and 28 cents per

53:52gallon. Trump, 20, 28, $20 and 28 cents per gallon.

53:56I saw one of their embassies post this video because Donald Trump's been ranting all

54:01day about blockade, blockade, we're doing a blockade.

54:04And one of the Iranian embassies was saying, you do realize for you to have

54:11a blockade, you have to move your ships a little bit closer.

54:14You can't just make a social media post on X.

54:17Do we have the video here of just the blockade, Brett, or do we just

54:21have the photo? Because if we have a little bit of the video, let's just

54:24play a short one. You're talking about this one.

54:26right exactly if we've got it yeah okay it's it's it's it's your lucky day

55:55sir well it's going to be eventually it's going to be lowered no it might

55:59not happen initially but it's gonna it's gonna go down when this is all over

56:04look the stock market the dow had 50 000 it was supposed to be in

56:09four or five years they said it won't happen during his okay go with the

56:12dow it's still good he's still going with he's still going i i i had

56:17a home run when i was in little league when i was 10 years old

56:20it's imagine if i just kept talking about i guess i just well you know

56:23justin wolfers will tell you i mean it's also one of these trump lies justin

56:27wolfers economist who comes on the midas touch network a lot he was like if

56:31donald trump didn't screw everything up the first year the dow actually should have been

56:36up about 16 to 20 percent more if you looked at the trajectory of international

56:42markets during the exact same time period america's markets were actually one of the the

56:48slowest growing with a broader international movement of economic growth in other markets so one

56:56of the points that wolfer said is okay that was a good metric but where's

1:04:34When it comes to the disagreements with the Vatican, look, we're going to have disagreements,

1:04:38Brett, from time to time.

1:04:39I think it's a good thing, actually, that the pope is advocating for the things

1:04:43that he cares about. But we're always going to have disagreements on matters of public

1:04:48policy. Or I should say, sometimes we're going to have disagreements on matters of public

1:04:51policy. The pope has been critical of our immigration policy.

1:04:55But ultimately, the immigration policy of the United States is set by Donald Trump.

1:04:59The pope is going to have disagreements on other issues.

1:05:01We can respect the pope.

1:05:02We certainly have a good relationship with the Vatican.

1:05:04But we're also going to disagree on substantive questions from time to time.

1:05:08I think that's a totally reasonable thing.

1:05:10It isn't particularly newsworthy. Pivots away, and then separately in a clip, he says that

1:05:14Donald Trump was joking. That it was all one big funny joke, and we should

1:05:19all take what Donald Trump says as like...

1:05:21Trump is doing standup right now.

1:05:23So LOL to Donald Trump standup.

1:05:26You had Riley Gaines, who's been one of Donald Trump's closest allies that Donald Trump

1:05:32uses a lot to bully the transgender community.

1:05:36And he frames it as an issue of protecting women's sports.

1:05:39But if you actually look at Trump's policies regarding women's sports, he doesn't believe that

1:05:44women should receive equal pay in college as male athletes.

1:05:48You could take a look at his name, image, and likeness executive order from last

1:05:51year, February 2025, where he said, yeah, you know, Title IX doesn't actually help women

1:05:57get the same amount of money when it comes to all of these huge payments

1:06:00college athletes get with name, image, and likeness.

1:06:02So I always want to point that out.

1:06:04But then separately, you know, my view of the way Donald Trump views the issue

1:06:10over transgender athletes playing sports, it's a way to bully and harm and disrespect marginalized

1:06:15communities, nothing to actually do with sports competitiveness at all.

1:06:20But in any event, Riley Gaines is Donald Trump's proxy for that bullying.

1:06:24She responded to Donald Trump's post where Trump made himself AI Jesus.

1:06:30And she goes, why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he'd post this.

1:06:34Is he looking for a response?

1:06:35Does he actually think this?

1:06:37Either way, two things are true.

1:06:38A little humility would serve him well.

1:06:42God shall not be mocked.

1:06:44And then Donald Trump was asked by reporters before we went live if he took

1:06:48the post down because of criticism by Riley Gaines and others.

1:06:52And Donald Trump said, no, I don't listen to Riley Gaines.

1:06:56I'm not a big fan of Riley, actually.

1:06:59And it just goes to show you, I mean, everybody in this cult is expendable

1:07:04to him. This is what he does and who he is, you know, his entire

1:07:08life. And this is how he behaves.

1:07:09But I don't need to belabor that point.

1:07:11You all understand that. But can I show you what a real leader looks and

1:07:15sounds like? Can I show you Prime Minister Carney in his powerful speech that he

1:07:21gave in front of the Liberal Convention in Montreal this past weekend?

1:07:27Here, Prime Minister Carney talks about how the days of Canada spending 70 % of

1:07:33every dollar to the United States on military?

1:07:36Bye -bye. Here's what Carney said.

1:07:54He talks about Canada moving away from American products and buying Canadian products first, how

1:08:00it started quietly, but then began to grow and grow into the elbows up movement.

1:09:08Rather than starting on this journey, they're waiting for the past to return.

1:09:23But hope is not a plan and nostalgia is not a strategy.

1:09:37And if we stand still during this rupture, we will surrender our future to others.

1:09:46My friends, technological change is accelerating.

1:09:50We can either shape our future with AI or let it control our destiny.

1:09:56The foundations of the international order, the order which Canada helped build and from which

1:10:02we have benefited for so long, that order is crumbling.

1:10:07And you hear that in Canada, you hear that in Europe, you hear that in

1:10:11Asia, you hear that in South America and in Africa, you hear that in Australia,

1:10:16you hear that across the world right now.

1:10:19Trump's America first is America alone.

1:10:24That's where we're at right now.

1:10:26Well, Brett and Jordy, I wanted to show that Prime Minister Carney clip, though, again,

1:10:31because the level of leadership we've seen Carney provide internationally.

1:10:37It's Canada picking the right guy or the right person for the right moment in

1:10:42contrast to the U .S.

1:10:44doing the exact opposite. Meeting the moment versus taking massive steps backwards in the wrong

1:10:51direction. Brett, before you go, Bea, I just want to say I'm never more jealous,

1:10:56envious, you name it, than when I watch Carney speak.

1:11:00I mean, it is just so missed here in this country to have such a

1:11:06dignified, well -spoken leader. And it's just like, oh, yeah, talk about someone like an

1:11:11adult with a hand on the wheel.

1:11:12You could kind of tell, hey, Carney's that guy.

1:11:14And it's just like it's night and day.

1:11:16Sorry, Brett, go ahead. And honestly, I think everybody and I think Canada really led

1:11:21the way here for all countries throughout the entire world.

1:11:25They're showing how you stand up to Donald Trump because they've taken the punches, right?

1:11:30They've taken the bullying, the name -calling, the governor this, the 51st state that.

1:11:36They've taken these hits repeatedly.

1:11:38But I think you have to watch the way that they conduct themselves.

1:11:42I mean, Carney right there, that was a total smackdown of Donald Trump.

1:11:49That was a total smackdown of the current United States policies.

1:11:53But he did so in such a dignified way.

1:11:57And he did so in such a Canadian way, I'll just say.

1:12:03And I think the tactfulness that Carney uses, I think, should be emulated throughout the

1:12:09world. And the way that Carney does not buckle to Donald Trump and bend over

1:12:14for Donald Trump should be looked at by the entire world.

1:12:18People like Mark Rutt or Mark Ruddy, however you say the NATO guy's name.

1:12:22He should be looking at Mark Carney for how to handle Donald Trump instead of

1:12:26trying to constantly praise Trump and try to play to his ego.

1:12:31That's not how you get things done in this world when Donald Trump is president

1:12:35of the United States. You need to show some strength.

1:12:37You need. to stand up for yourself.

1:12:39You need to stand up for your values.

1:12:41And that's how you win the support of your people.

1:12:43But that's actually how you move the ball forward for democracy.

1:12:47So shout out to Canada.

1:12:49Shout out to Hungary. That's what their leaders, their new leader just did as well.

1:12:54He built these coalitions. He bulldozed past the gerrymandering and the propaganda press.

1:13:02He bullied past all of the very, just like, once again, just like Trump, all

1:13:08the very shady tactics that Viktor Orban was trying to deploy and employ, these false

1:13:14flag operations, just all the nonsense that he put up with.

1:13:20But he also did so in a dignified way.

1:13:23He built these coalitions. He brought everyone together.

1:13:26And the people rose up.

1:13:27And they show that no matter how many roadblocks that these autocrats want to put

1:13:32in the way of the people, that the people can overcome them if they have

1:13:37enough energy, if they have enough enthusiasm, if they are pointed in the right direction.

1:13:42That's why I view this Midas Mighty as a pro -democracy movement across the world,

1:13:48not just in the United States.

1:13:49And I love all of our international friends and partners.

1:13:52And I think it's important that we have a value -based network here that doesn't

1:13:58cheerlead individual politicians, but that presents a list of values that we all want to

1:14:04follow, that we all want to see in this country.

1:14:06And I think if you have that, then you could report on things honestly.

1:14:10You could report on things in a straightforward way.

1:14:14And unfortunately, as we've seen over these past few days, as we've seen, hey, since

1:14:19the beginning of time, politicians will let you down.

1:14:22We saw this with Eric Swalwell, the multiple accusations now that have come out against

1:14:27them, which are horrifying, ranging from the sending of inappropriate photos to allegations of rape,

1:14:35awful stuff. And shout out to all the victims who are coming forward.

1:14:39And I hear more are coming forward as well in the coming days.

1:14:42And I think it's important for us to stand with those women and understand that

1:14:47this isn't about any one politician, right?

1:14:50This isn't about that. It's not about a political party.

1:14:54This is about values that we want to see, that we want to uphold.

1:14:58So today, to go back to the beginning of the episode, we learned that Representative

1:15:02Eric Swalwell has announced that he is resigning from Congress.

1:15:05And we've also learned that Representative Tony Gonzalez, Republican, is also resigning from Congress.

1:15:12Gonzalez is going to be resigning from Congress tomorrow, he says.

1:15:16Gonzalez had admitted to having an extramarital affair with a former staffer.

1:15:21She later died by suicide under mysterious circumstances.

1:15:24And this led to a House investigation into sexual misconduct and abuse of power.

1:15:30And there was a lot of other horrific behavior as well with Gonzalez.

1:15:35So now he is leaving Congress.

1:15:36And I think it's good.

1:15:37Clear all these people out.

1:15:39We do not want people who do not share the values of a polite society,

1:15:45of a democratic society, of a society that upholds morals, because we're learning what it

1:15:52leads to when you have a degradation of those values.

1:15:55When you have someone like a Donald Trump in charge who embodies all of this,

1:15:59right? You see the destruction it has on an entire country.

1:16:04You see the destruction it has with partners, with alliances, with the ability to get

1:16:09things done, with the ability to make advancements with clean energy, with the ability to

1:16:14push the ball forward in the United States.

1:16:16every conceivable way. And so let's continue to stand together and let's continue to fight

1:16:21against all that crap and, you know, and fight for what's right.

1:16:24You know, that's got to be our North Star.

1:16:26It's precisely what we mean when we say we don't cheerlead politicians at this network.

1:16:33I'm not rooting for a specific politician because of their personality or their charisma or

1:16:41because they gave a great speech.

1:16:44I'm looking to champion the values that I think matter most to this community, starting

1:16:52with democracy and empathy and love and compassion and uplifting marginalized communities and helping build

1:17:02a better, more prosperous country that works for everybody and to make sure that people

1:17:09get the health care that they need and they should get health care as a

1:17:14human right and to make sure people get the education they need, want and desire

1:17:19as a human right and to make sure people can afford housing and make sure

1:17:26that people can afford things and live prosperous lives and have a good life with

1:17:31their family and with loved ones and know that they're protected and secured and that

1:17:38they can pass on a better world for future generations.

1:17:43I mean, that's what we talk about most here and where politicians want to meet

1:17:48us in those values and principles, you know, they can, but not rooting for this

1:17:53politician or that politician. That's why I frequently say, you know, although it may sound

1:17:59counterintuitive to a network like ours, I say, I really don't actually like politics and

1:18:05I don't really like politicians.

1:18:07I like the values and principles set that we stand for and we fight for

1:18:13the people, but we situate the Midas Touch Network, we situate this movement in the

1:18:20people. And the most important thing you can do in that scenario or in any

1:18:26scenario is listen to the people, be there for the people, fight for the people,

1:18:32fight for you, and use our platform to do that.

1:18:36And then to call out injustice wherever it is, here or abroad, this political party,

1:18:43that political party doesn't matter at the end.

1:18:46What matters are enduring values and principles.

1:18:50And oftentimes that may align more with one party than another in a given period

1:18:56of time. I'm not going to be ignorant or naive to that, but there's no

1:19:01specific aligned legions to this specific politician because they're so charismatic and funny.

1:19:07No, that's one of the things that got us into this mess in the first

1:19:12place is being led down a road of demagoguery and cult of personalities.

1:19:17And we need to be mindful of that and root our power in the people,

1:19:22power to the people. And that's been the fuel for the Midas Touch Network.

1:19:27And that brings us to the last topic of the show, which is Donald Trump

1:19:32being handed a loss in the Epstein case that he filed against the Wall Street

1:19:38Journal. District Court Judge Gales, in a 17 -page decision, dismissed Donald Trump's defamation lawsuit

1:19:46against the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch, the CEO of the Wall Street Journal, Robert

1:19:51Thompson, and the reporters of that article for their report.

1:19:55reporting on a letter that he sent to Jeffrey Epstein's for Epstein's 50th birthday.

1:20:01Donald Trump claims that this letter, which was in the Epstein estate file, which we

1:20:07now all have seen publicly, thanks to the good work of Democrats on the House

1:20:11Oversight Committee, and specifically Ro Khanna, Congress Member Garcia, and others, you know, who have

1:20:16really pushed to get those files released.

1:20:19It's in there. I mean, everybody else who sent letters say it's their letters, but

1:20:24Donald Trump claims that a time traveler went back in time and planted it there

1:20:29to frame him, and on that basis and others, Trump sued the Wall Street Journal.

1:20:34Because Trump says, ain't my letter.

1:20:35I never sent that, and you framed me.

1:20:38And the district court judge said that Donald Trump hasn't even been able to assert

1:20:44claims against the Wall Street Journal.

1:20:47The judge did give Donald Trump an opportunity to amend his lawsuit to try one

1:20:53more time to bring it again, which is sadly normal in our judicial system.

1:20:59It's liberal leave to amend pleading standards, it's called.

1:21:04And that's usually given to any type of litigant, that if you get the case

1:21:09dismissed the first time, you usually have one more, sometimes two more shots in order

1:21:14to file it, which lots of people who look at our system go, that's kind

1:21:17of, you know, odd. And Donald Trump takes advantage of that all the time.

1:21:20He drags these cases out.

1:21:22He will refile a new complaint against the Wall Street Journal.

1:21:26He'll ask for multiple extensions, and he'll try to drag this out another six months.

1:21:31I think it'll, in my opinion, it will definitely get dismissed again.

1:21:35And then, you know, he'll try to, like, not even talk about it and bury

1:21:39it in an avalanche of other headlines.

1:21:41But he got the headline he wanted, that he's suing them, and he can go

1:21:45out on the campaign trail and say, look, I'm suing, you know, I'm suing Rupert

1:21:49Murdoch, I'm suing Wall Street Journal.

1:21:50So just if you're wondering, like, what I would, how I would handle a lawsuit

1:21:55like that against Donald Trump, I don't even think I would file a motion to

1:21:59dismiss. I think I would just do what's called an answer to the complaint, get

1:22:03the case going, and then just do discovery right away.

1:22:06Notice Donald Trump's deposition, get him in a room.

1:22:09Donald Trump will be like, oh, am I going to sit for a deposition?

1:22:11Are you kidding me? There's nothing more I would love than do seven hours of

1:22:15a deposition with Donald Trump on his connections to Epstein.

1:22:18Like, the Wall Street Journal has that opportunity right now.

1:22:22And because of Murdoch's relationship with Trump, they're not really pushing the discovery.

1:22:27They both agreed to, like, hands off.

1:22:29They'll just litigate it with motions to dismiss.

1:22:31But if you were really to litigate this case, like the war that it should

1:22:35be, you would notice Donald Trump's deposition right away.

1:22:38And I mean, seven hours every, they have full rights right now to have seven

1:22:43hours with Donald Trump at least, because that's usually the limitation.

1:22:46Although you can request leave for the judge to do more and do seven hours

1:22:50on Epstein. Imagine just asking him about that.

1:22:52So your contention is this is fake.

1:22:54This is not your handwriting.

1:22:56Get him under oath to just lie under oath.

1:22:58So I actually think it would be a gift if you were sued on that.

1:23:02But you know, that's just me and the, I guess, the old litigator in me

1:23:06who would, that would be my strategy for if you were wondering.

1:23:10But once again, force his hand, right?

1:23:11I mean, that's what we've been saying the whole episode.

1:23:13Like, don't just force his hand, because he's going to, he will back down.

1:23:16He always backs down. There you have it.

1:23:19Well, that's all I got for this, which I think was a lot that we

1:23:22covered on this episode. We're going to be paying close attention to the Strait of

1:23:26Hormuz, the Red Sea as well, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, seeing what's going on there,

1:23:31seeing what's happening with this mindset.

1:23:33sweeper operation. How's Iran going to react to that?

1:23:37Will we see escalation? We will keep you posted every step of the way there.

1:23:41We're closely monitoring the events in the Middle East and the rest of the world.
