3:13Welcome back in. Hour number three.

3:15Clay Travis Buck Sexton show.

3:17It is a significant news Wednesday, as many of these days often are.

3:24Let's take you back in to exactly what has transpired.

3:27We had a very powerful press conference, as we discussed earlier in the show, from

3:33Pete Hegseth on the situation in Iran.

3:37We will update you on that.

3:39But the big takeaway is that we are close to complete and total air superiority

3:45in Iran. And that I do believe things are going better and faster than anticipated

3:54if they had tried to forecast how this attack was going to go.

3:59We'll come back to that in a sec and play a couple more of those

4:03cuts from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

4:05But in Texas, as we told many of you, was likely to be the case.

4:11We had James Tallarico beat our good friend Jasmine Crockett.

4:16It pains me, as we said earlier in the program, to see the Texas Democrat

4:20Party engage in such blatant racism buck for a white man to beat a black

4:25man like that, a black woman like this.

4:28Can I just point out that it's painful to my heart.

4:30Can I just point out that Clay was suddenly wearing his Crockett gear a whole

4:35lot more. I'm seeing Crockett t -shirts, Crockett sweatshirts.

4:39He says it's for the coffee company that we own.

4:43But I thought it was a little suspicious that right when Jasmine Crockett was in

4:48the political fight of her life, Clay was Mr.

4:51Crockett all of a sudden.

4:52I'm just saying. So Jasmine Crockett goes down.

4:56We talked about this earlier in the show.

4:57We had some deep dive into it.

5:00Buck, I think the reality is this is kind of what you wanted.

5:03And MSNBC or MSNOW, whatever the heck they're called, CNN, The View, they're all going

5:10to be throwing money at Jasmine Crockett to become a television personality.

5:14Her congressional career is over.

5:17And the other big name I would say that went down, as we discussed earlier

5:21in the program as well, Buck, is Dan Crenshaw.

5:24I did not. I didn't know Dan Crenshaw well, but he had quite the public

5:29profile. Have we ever had him on the program?

5:31I think maybe we did.

5:32I don't think so. I think that, Clay, before you and I teamed up, I

5:36might have interviewed him one time early on.

5:38And I remember, look, I'm just going to say it, there was so much enthusiasm

5:43around because you go, oh, gosh, this guy is a combat veteran, Navy SEAL, wounded

5:51veteran. And, you know, this is just like what you would create in a, you

5:57know, conservative laboratory of congressional excellence.

6:01Like, well, this is the guy we want in Congress.

6:03And I have tremendous respect, obviously, for what he did as a SEAL.

6:06And none of that changes.

6:08But, man, the base turned on him.

6:11And neither you nor I have, look, you guys know when we don't like somebody.

6:14I try to be honest about it but also be fair about it.

6:17You know if we don't like somebody.

6:19I never met the guy.

6:20I have no beef with him, no problem with him.

6:23So many people I know in politics and in media despise that guy.

6:29And it just strikes me as how?

6:32You know, I mean, we asked Michael Berry.

6:33Michael Berry was not holding back on it.

6:36You can go back and listen to the interview.

6:37Well, so that's the big upset, I would say, that came out of the Republican

6:42primary. We told you that this was likely to happen as well.

6:46And, man, get your two -by -fours because I think it's going to get even

6:51nastier. Ken Paxton and John Cornyn basically ran dead even in the Texas Republican Senate

7:00primary. So Tallarico has advanced.

7:02He is the Democrat nominee.

7:04He's way more radical, go figure, than they have let you know.

7:07And we will certainly dive into that race as it gets closer to November.

7:13But in the meantime, John Cornyn, current incumbent senator, and Ken Paxton are going to

7:21go. Both of them around 41%, 42 % of the vote.

7:26Wesley Hunt, who we had on the program yesterday, got around 13 % or 14

7:31% in third place. So he is eliminated.

7:34And now tons of money will get spent.

7:37I would imagine both Paxton and Cornyn are going to be asking President Trump for

7:43an endorsement. So far, President Trump has not endorsed anybody in this race.

7:47We'll see what he does in late May.

7:50So a little over two months from now, we will officially have a Republican nominee.

7:55So I was texting with Buck Sum as these results came in.

7:59No big surprises in Arkansas or North Carolina.

8:04Our friend Michael Watley is going to run against former Governor Roy Cooper.

8:08We got an invite out.

8:11We almost had him scheduled the other day.

8:13I'm sure Michael Watley is going to be hugely important as we look towards the

8:19Senate because that is a Republican seat in North Carolina.

8:22And Democrats have to flip four Senate seats, given J .D.

8:26Vance having the tie break, Buck, in order to be able to take back control

8:30of the U .S. Senate.

8:31We had Cornyn scheduled. And they just said they had a scheduled conflict.

8:36Maybe that is the case.

8:38But you would think he would come on this show at some point, given the

8:42primary that he's in now, you know, the extended primary.

8:46And if he doesn't, I think it's telling us something that I will say.

8:52Look, schedule stuff comes up, even if it's very last minute.

8:55And even if it's after our good friend Michael Berry throws a roundhouse kick with

9:00his cowboy boots on right to the face of your campaign.

9:03However, however, maybe it was just a little change, but we'd like him to come

9:08on at some point. We have some questions for Mr.

9:11Cornyn. Well, it's only fair.

9:13And again, we also invited Tallarico and Jasmine Crockett because unlike CBS, and I do

9:20think this is a big story, Buck, in general.

9:23Again, the CBS attempt, it may well have been the difference maker for Tallarico, who

9:29outspent Jasmine Crockett by five to one.

9:33I think it was twenty five million to five million, something like that.

9:37And that added raise of money that he got from the censorship that they claimed

9:43on Colbert might have been what propelled him to the victory.

9:47I mean, he won by a relatively slim amount.

9:51I mean, it was very close.

9:53And I know some of you flipped over and voted in the in the Democrat

9:58side. But Tallarico won by about six, seven points with ninety three percent of the

10:04vote in at least. And and I do think that that is maybe the part

10:10of the result is that they helped rig it for him in the Democrat Party.

10:13I would say, Clay, that in the interest of fairness, because we have invited Tallarico

10:19on, I still would love to have Jasmine Crockett on.

10:22I believe if Jasmine Crockett comes on, unless there's some ethics thing with she's in

10:27Congress, there's all these weird, you know, ethics rules in Congress.

10:29Now, you basically can't buy someone more than a coffee and it causes a problem.

10:33I was going to say, I'll send her a Crockett sweatshirt like I would love

10:36to have Jasmine Crockett on the show.

10:38We would have a very fun conversation.

10:40But for James Tallarico, I'll even give him the questions in advance.

10:43It's like he's getting a little sneak peek of the test.

10:45I would first want to ask him, is the future female, James?

10:50I just want to hear what he has to say to that.

10:52And then, Clay, if you wanted to.

10:53follow up with can a man become a woman i feel like we'd have a

10:57robust conversation with james tallarico about this and then you could ask him about whether

11:01god is non -binary which also came up recently he said that he also said

11:07and again this he's he's got a lot of clips that's so i'm triggered by

11:11this god is clearly trans james we all know god is non -binary um he

11:17also said that basically we should have a wide open southern border so again the

11:22fever dream of the democrat party has been that they can flip texas they've been

11:27trying to do it for a long time now uh they have not won a

11:31statewide race in the state of texas since 1994 uh but that is uh at

11:37least um worth contemplating how that's going to shake out your good buddy joe scarborough

11:43uh said boy republicans really blew it um here is cut three how msnbc is

11:51covering uh all of uh all of this uh the outcome in the texas primary

11:57cut three here's yet another example i swear i i just wish these republicans weren't

12:03so stupid i wish they'd listen to me i'm trying to help them out a

12:06little bit here just to make it a fair fight in the fall but what

12:09did we say what did we say first of all when they took colbert off

12:13the air you're gonna pay for it they did pay for it with south park

12:17three or four days later deciding they're gonna lean in even harder right and so

12:21here they try to keep talarico off the show what happens they give them a

12:26boost if you talk to jasmine crockett she'll say the same thing i was ahead

12:29until that controversy so the very person they were trying to to defeat the very

12:35person whose message scared them is the very person who they helped win this race

12:40this is so his political analysis is what you would expect from a guy who

12:45told us in 2024 that joe biden was the sharpest he had ever been in

12:50his entire life clay this is not this is not a surprise that joe scarborough

12:53doesn't know his ass from his elbow this is so dumb um that it honestly

12:58kind of blows my mind that either he is really really legitimately not informed on

13:06this story or or he is intentionally lying there's only two options here because republicans

13:12had nothing to do with this nothing at all the uh colbert show for those

13:19of you have forgotten set up a fake story which was we're gonna have james

13:24talarico on cbs's lawyer said hey if you're gonna have talarico on you need to

13:31have jasmine crockett on as well because she is a contender in this race on

13:36the equal time doctrine and maybe arguably you should also have republicans on but that's

13:42a whole nother debate and they pitched a fit all they had to do was

13:48put on jasmine crockett too this is one where i think jasmine crockett actually is

13:53legitimately had a rig job run against her but this was all a democrat operation

13:58they desperately wanted talarico what he's got backward is a lot of us would have

14:04preferred jasmine crockett because jasmine crockett had a zero percent chance of winning i think

14:09talarico has a five to ten percent chance of winning still low but zero to

14:15five to ten if you gave me a choice between the two options and i

14:18was wanted the republicans to win i'd take the zero i'm with you though i

14:22just i feel like i need to go find a safe space and to weep

14:28some liberal tears about all the mansplaining and the racism uh i'm sorry i thought

14:36the future was female james talarico joe scarborough stephen colbert apparently not if we're talking

14:43jasmine crockett you know what you have a black woman who could be the the

14:49next standard bearer of the democrats and they did everything they could they bernie sanders

14:55her totally bernie sanders her they totally bernie sanders her and you know what is

15:01actually also funny about this story on the national political stage kamala endorsed jasmine crockett

15:08on sunday i believe this weekend uh and did a robo call and said everybody

15:14get out and vote for jasmine crockett jasmine crockett then lost and kamala now has

15:20flipped and endorsed endorsed talarico i i just think it's when you endorse a person

15:25and then the next day you endorse the other person basically that's a tough that's

15:30a tough situation to find yourself in she could have just set out the whole

15:35thing i'm sure that kamala's advisors got in her ear and they said hey this

15:40is another black woman who's running for office you need to you know continue to

15:45lock down black female support speak out for her but do it late so uh

15:50the the impact will be minimal if she loses people won't talk about it as

15:54much and then immediately flip and endorse the white guy once the black woman loses

16:00i mean it is very funny that we ended up in this situation uh all

16:04of the people doing absolutely fantastic work at the ifcj air sirens going right now

16:10across israel constantly basically missiles coming in from iran from hezbollah lives lost as a

16:17result the ifcj they are committed to israel constantly moving in from iran to iran
