3:46podcast a few days ago about Sheridan Gorman, who was senselessly murdered in Chicago.

3:52A young girl, 18 years old.

3:54I think that we can all relate to this as parents.

3:57Most of the people that are listening, I know you all have children of your

4:01own. her parents sent her to college for her first year, and not just any

4:06college, to Loyola. And when you send your daughter to Loyola, you are sending your

4:12kid to a university that has a great reputation.

4:15You have to be smart.

4:16You have to be one of the top students in your class.

4:19You're going to a big city.

4:21You should be safe. They sent their daughter there and probably celebrated sending their daughter

4:27there. And then you heard my podcast where I said she decided to go off

4:30with friends one night like any college student would do to take pictures, just to

4:36go out and take pictures.

4:38They thought they might catch the northern lights, but she was brutally murdered by an

4:43illegal alien that night because she went to the end of a pier and you'll

4:48hear that she was shot in the head.

4:50And I just want to say that the newspapers at the end of last week,

4:53just kind of in the fine print, they said, oh, turns out it wasn't actually

4:58she was shot in the head.

4:59She was shot in the back.

5:00So we know she ran.

5:01We know she saw this guy.

5:03We don't know what was said, but we know that this girl knew her life

5:07was in danger. This 18 -year -old child turned and ran and this guy shot

5:13her in the back and killed her.

5:15This story, you think it's not common?

5:18It is way too common.

5:21There are way too many.

5:22There are a thousand. of what we call angel families out there that have lost

5:27their child or their family member, someone they love, to an illegal alien, someone who

5:34came into this country illegally and committed a crime.

5:37And we have one of those parents with us today.

5:40Just a year ago, January 19th, 2025, Joe Abraham's daughter, Katie, was killed in Urbana,

5:49Illinois, in Illinois again, by an illegal immigrant who was a drunk driver, slammed into

5:56the back of her car.

5:57And I have to tell you, this is not an unusual story either, because I

6:02have told you guys before, I've met with many families in 2019, met with 18

6:08families who had lost someone to an illegal immigrant.

6:11And it was shocking the number of people who had been killed because this person

6:17was drunk and just recklessly killed them in their car.

6:22And Joe, I know that's your story.

6:23And I am just so grateful that you are here to share.

6:27Katie was 20, just 20 years old, her whole life ahead of her.

6:31And she was taken from you.

6:34She was absolutely ripped from us.

6:36And it's rather distressing when you hear everyone defending sanctuary policies and trying to tear

6:46down ICE and denigrate ICE about how they are separating families.

6:51So Katie was, you know, minding her business, living her life.

6:55Now, in all honesty, between you and I, I didn't really like the fact that

6:59she was going to Urbana.

7:00That's where the University of Illinois is located.

7:04Just because we are a sanctuary and a lot of these, this state puts a

7:09lot of people in these smaller towns, along with Cook County, but it's a larger

7:12county. And just a side note, all three of my kids did not go to

7:17college in Illinois. I would try to persuade anyone that wants to send their kid

7:22to Illinois, to a university here, not to do that.

7:25There are other schools they can go to in safer places.

7:28I just have to say, it is blowing my mind what you're saying right now,

7:31because I grew up in Illinois.

7:33My class kind of split between the University of Iowa and the University of Illinois.

7:38Most of the kids went to one of those two universities.

7:41And you think, to me, you think that Champaign -Urbana, where the University of Illinois

7:48is, it's like a farm town.

7:50You think that's safe. Like, I think, okay, being on the streets of Chicago, that's

7:55somewhat dangerous. But being in Urbana, what you just said about, like, I knew it

8:01was dangerous because they send people there.

8:03We don't know this. We are.

8:05That is a shocking statement to me.

8:06We don't know this. And yet that is what sanctuary policies create.

8:12Yeah, I will. You know, I was there the other day down where Katie, her

8:17birthday was Saturday. So I was down where she took her last breaths in Urbana.

8:22Go walk around Urbana and tell me that it's a safe, small, quiet, quaint college

8:28town. All I have to say is don't send your kids there.

8:31That's all I have to say.

8:31So Katie went down that weekend just with some friends.

8:34They were five of them in the vehicle and they were at a stoplight idle

8:39and were smashed in from the rear at almost 80 miles an hour.

8:45And Katie, you know, to go back to the whole, you know, oh, families are

8:50being separated. They're so evil and cruel.

8:53Why does my family and families like mine get zero consideration?

8:58What do I mean by that?

9:00Katie was ripped from us by someone who should never been here.

9:04This was not an American DUI driving.

9:06Yes, we have those deaths every day.

9:08Those are different that people cannot seem to make the distinction.

9:12If this person was not in our communities, Katie would be alive today.

9:17It wasn't a citizen that rammed into them.

9:19So my only point there is that we have been separated.

9:24We have been disappeared. I will the difference.

9:28I will never see Katie again.

9:29She's in the grave. I'm kind of in the grave with her.

9:31That's how bad it is when you're going through this.

9:34But there's no consideration for us.

9:36We are supposed to shut our mouths if we talk about it.

9:41We're cruel and racists and bigots.

9:44And this is what they use their tactic to shut you down and shut you

9:48up. But I won't be.

9:49What are they going to do?

9:50I'm in a grave with Katie.

9:51What are they going to do?

9:52Come physically hurt me? I would love to see them.

9:54Come, come, come, come. So that's what they don't seem to understand.

9:58And we get no consideration, not from the state leaders, not from a large part

10:04of the, you know, citizens who are very, you know, their North Star is their

10:08ideology. And so they look at you and say, why is Katie special?

10:13People die every day because of drunk drivers.

10:15Katie's not special. You know, that is that drives me crazy.

10:19And I hear that argument all the time.

10:20We have a we have a lot of criminals that are Americans.

10:23And the fact of the matter is, that's true.

10:26And that is what we need to be policing.

10:28That's what our focus needs to be.

10:31When we have police officers, when we have police departments, when we have federal law

10:36enforcement, they need to be focused on Americans that are hurting Americans and making sure

10:41our streets are safe. Why would we add more?

10:44Why would we just knowingly add more?

10:47That's what I just cannot understand.

10:49And you've got these no kings.

10:51And I will say, I just saw a tweet before I came in here that

10:56was from a woman who is running for state Senate or U .S.

11:00Senate, I should say. She's a state senator in the state of Michigan.

11:03Her name is Mallory McMorrow.

11:05She's running for U .S.

11:06Senate right now. And she just did this video where she said, this is outrageous

11:10that Republicans are not funding TSA because they're insistent that they fund ICE.

11:17We cannot fund ICE. We have to fund TSA.

11:19And I think to myself, why is this?

11:22Am I in like opposite land?

11:24Do people not really look at this and go, how could you possibly say that

11:29we should keep our airports safe and our airlines safe, but we shouldn't keep our

11:34cities safe? How do you take how do you make those two separate?

11:38How do you decide that one is more important than the other?

11:42Because the idea that this guy in Chicago or this guy in Urbana who took

11:49the lives of two beautiful young women and like I said, it happens across the

11:55country every single day. How can you say that that is not important?

12:02So I agree with you.

12:03It's it's a complete deflection and really just kind of besides the point.

12:09Right. The fact that we have crime or naturalized citizens.

12:13Number one, I think that's debunked.

12:15I don't believe that for a second.

12:16They're manipulating some statistics. I know about statistics.

12:19You could have them say 12 different things.

12:21So they're manipulating that. But let's just for the sake of this argument, say that's

12:25that's true. So is is our logical end here?

12:29We don't have enough crime, so we'll import crime and we won't filter people out

12:33that will make crime. Is that where we're headed or we don't have enough drunk

12:37drivers here now? We need more to come in.

12:40Look, in Illinois, we're bleeding citizens.

12:43And so you can't even take care of the people you have in this state.

12:48You have failed the people in the state.

12:50So now what's your solution to bring in another half a million people you can't

12:54handle? You have nothing as far as it's so incoherent.

12:59I can't explain it. It's just it's nasty.

13:02I mean, it's just nasty.

13:03And I thought Lori Lightfoot was like the worst.

13:06I when she was mayor, I was like, this woman is the worst mayor you

13:12could imagine. But you can never say that with leftists now because Brandon Johnson, what

13:17he did last week is is so unforgiving.

13:20And the fact that there could even be anybody even on the left that could

13:25say you had a young woman die on your streets at the hands of an

13:30illegal immigrant who should have had to leave the country, who came in illegally and

13:35was convicted of crimes, should have been deported.

13:39And if ICE had been allowed in your city, probably would have or even the

13:44National Guard when the president offered to help keep Chicago safer.

13:49No, this guy rolls out a new snowplow and celebrates the name as Abolish ICE.

13:57You know, I was asked a question today on Fox earlier this morning on America's

14:00Newsroom, and they wanted me to respond to Mayor Johnson's comments last week.

14:06And I said I would not.

14:07He is not a serious person.

14:09He's silly. He's like a silly person.

14:11I won't waste my breath.

14:13But a silly person that has too much power.

14:16Exactly. He's a silly person.

14:17And more importantly, he's a dangerous person.

14:20So I don't want to engage in a dangerous—I hope Chicago smartens up on that,

14:27but I suspect they might not, but I hope they do.

14:30How do these people get elected, though?

14:32I mean, we really don't understand how this is happening.

14:36I'm a lifelong Illinoisan and lived in Cook County.

14:42There's no way this county is not the most corrupt in the nation.

14:45So then you tell me how they do it.

19:16It reminds me of we had that Crook County podcast guy on one time, and

19:22he went through exactly what happens behind the scenes.

19:27So you make a great point.

19:28There is a lot of corruption.

19:30But think of just the corruption of wanting to keep.

19:34I think people don't necessarily understand what sanctuary city means and what sanctuary policies are.

19:39And I've tried to explain this in our state.

19:42We had in our town, we had people that came in and they said, we're

19:46going to make your town a welcoming city.

19:48That was the new term for sanctuary city.

19:52And we went to the town council and we talked, spoke against it.

19:56We said, you have to understand, this sounds so great.

19:59They use great words. I mean, it sounds so lovely to be welcoming.

20:02It's newspeak. It's absolutely news.

20:04It's so Orwellian. Welcoming town.

20:06What does that mean exactly?

20:07And by the way, what do you do for the people you're welcomed in?

20:11For example, just two examples.

20:13If you look at Katie's and Sheridan's, Katie's case, he in court admitted he couldn't,

20:21never had a day of schooling, couldn't read, couldn't write either English or Spanish.

20:25He spoke Kaichi, a regionist mountain, mountainous Mayan language, right?

20:31So, but he had a valid Illinois driver's license.

20:34Go figure that out. Okay, now, he also had and is being treated for HIV.

20:39What did you do when you welcomed him into your state?

20:43You left him aimlessly to roam around our communities with HIV, with no sense of

20:50how to behave himself and how to be successful in our communities.

20:54Now, Sheridan's guy, he came in.

20:56Now they're telling us he's got a mind of a child.

20:59Okay, what did you do to help him if he needed special attention?

21:04What did you do? No, you did nothing.

21:06You let the gang members take advantage of him.

21:09You let him roam around aimlessly.

21:12People have to understand, Illinois and Governor Pritzker's of the world, they don't care about

21:17the victims 100%. They never did.

21:19But they don't care about the welcoming immigrants.

21:22What they care about is warm bodies that you can tie some ballots to.

21:26That's all they care about.

21:27That's exactly right. They're there.

21:29They are not. That's what I mean.

21:31These sanctuary cities are not a place to come.

21:33Like they say, we're giving them health care.

21:35We're taking care of them.

21:36They don't talk to them.

21:37This is just a place to keep them where they keep ice from getting them.

21:42If they commit a crime, the only thing a sanctuary city means if you commit

21:45a crime, you're safe here.

21:46We... won't turn you over to the federal authorities.

21:48But you make a point.

21:50That guy, the Sheridan, the guy that killed Sheridan had tuberculosis, didn't he?

21:54Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's true.

21:55He had tuberculosis. He was supposedly had a mentality of a child.

22:00You did nothing for this guy.

22:02And he's in the communities.

22:03You know how easy you can get tuberculosis?

22:05Right. Right. That's what I mean.

22:07Running around with a horrible illness that he could give to anyone.

22:11And if we were running around that way, the government would actually punish us for

22:16not getting our health care taken care of.

22:18So he's 2020. Yeah, exactly.

22:21Yes. Yes. So he's running around with tuberculosis.

22:24The man who killed Katie had HIV.

22:28Now, think about this. How is he?

22:31He's spreading that. He clearly got it somehow.

22:33So he's likely spreading that as well.

22:36There's no testing. I mean, you go back to when your parents came to the

22:41United States. You had to go through medical tests.

22:43You had to actually prove that you are healthy enough to be an American citizen.

22:47And even if you weren't healthy, then either you went back or you went to

22:53the hospital. There's no there's no vetting.

22:56The Biden administration and the leftists who are telling us these people are good people

23:01and they're vetted. They're they're not even healthy.

23:04So there's no vetting. And I'm not saying that there aren't good people that are

23:08coming across because I do believe that we should have an ability to come here

23:13for people that want to be Americans, but not for people who want to shoot

23:17young girls in the back.

23:19There there's a distinction. And it's sad that we we can't call that out.

23:24These look, the guy who killed Katie and the guy who killed Sheridan, they are

23:29not here to better their lives.

23:30They are not our neighbors.

23:31They are not the ones that created this country, as they like to say, these

23:36tired platitudes that they use.

23:38It's so it's like enough.

23:40You clearly did not vet anyone.

23:43You didn't give anyone health screening.

23:44You didn't give them any support from.

23:47But but you're spending three billion dollars plus two, three billion dollars on so -called

23:53immigration. Who's that money going to?

23:56How are you helping these people?

23:58Or is this just another I don't know, slush fund that you're washing taxpayer dollars

24:03around? You have to wonder because that guy was living in taxpayer funded housing.

24:08The guy who killed Sheridan was living in taxpayer funded housing and he'd been here

24:13since 23. So for three years, the people of the city of Chicago were paying

24:18for his lifestyle for paying for him to live here.

24:21And then he killed somebody.

24:23So how did how does the governor and how does the mayor?

24:28I mean, the governor is out there every day talking.

24:30You know, he's talking about running for president.

24:33How do they get away with this?

24:34But you make a great point.

24:35There is a benefit over and above voting.

24:38I mean, even if you were to take voting out of it, I do believe

24:41that they use these people to get elected.

24:43But even if you were to take that out of it, they put these people

24:47into the census and they get more control because they get I mean, look at

24:52California. If you took away the immigrants out of the illegal immigrants out of California,

24:58you wouldn't have nearly the representation in Washington that you do.

25:02So they are gaining power by just allowing people to flow into the country.

25:07That's right. It's it's congressional apportionment.

25:10It's political. Katie died on the altar of political power.

25:13They don't care about they love humanity in the abstract.

25:18They do not love it in the concrete.

25:20They don't they don't want to hear.

25:21They don't acknowledge Katie. They've never once said her name.

25:25Pritzker, Duckworth, Durbin, all these whoever Durbin endorses, we should reject outright.

25:32But that's kind of what I was trying to say to the Gorman family.

25:35Look, they're saying it now because they don't want to be beaten over the head.

25:39But you have a governor Pritzker now over there as incoherently saying, well, ICE and

25:44Trump didn't do their job when they were here during Midway Blitz, which was honoring

25:48my daughter, Katie Abraham. But so and at the same time when they when it

25:53was happening, they were on in front of every microphone degrading and and just beating

26:00down ICE agents. By the way, I've met probably 100, 200 ICE agents and staff,

26:06the most diverse, professional, caring, understanding people I ever met.

26:12It's it was amazing how they're beating me on.

26:15They say they're on train.

26:17They don't know what they're doing.

26:18They should be. They just they're using this rhetoric dangerously.

26:23And if you think it's only going to stop at ICE law enforcement, they're they

26:27are so wrong. They do not.

26:28They are so short term minded.

26:30This will flow through to you see it now.

26:33Actually, look at the police officers in New York where people are there.

26:36There's no respect for law enforcement.

26:38So any law enforcement that, you know, get these sheriffs that buy into this, it

26:41will filter down to your police department where citizens will have no respect for your

26:46police department. So I think you just got to be careful with the demagoguery that

26:51these guys do. It's not effective because it's going to hurt people in the end.

26:57And you again, you made a you made a point earlier about the media being

27:03on their side. And you came out early on after Sheridan's death.

27:07And you said to the family, look, they're going to try to make this guy

27:11into the victim. And that is a problem for.

27:14the people that just want law enforcement to be able to do their job.

27:18And I don't even like to say one side of the aisle.

27:20I think there are actually people on the Democrat Party that understand the importance of

27:25having law enforcement. I don't think everybody, I hope not everybody has lost their minds,

27:30but the media has. The media is totally in the bag for Democrats.

27:34It is totally ideological for them.

27:37It is just about who gets elected.

27:39And you warned that the media would protect this guy.

27:42And then they did. They did.

27:45And I have no, again, I don't feel any vindication around that.

27:49I feel a sense of sadness.

27:52I feel a sense of sorry for our nation and our citizens that we have

27:57always taken the backseat. We're just supposed to fund their experiment.

28:02We're just our little lab rats.

28:03We send our money and they do whatever they want.

28:05We have no consideration. We are collateral damage.

28:08And they also never suffer the consequences of their own ideology.

28:13And that's a sad thing.

28:14And then you look at, I don't know what you call it.

28:17It's got to be, it's got to be more than hypocrisy.

28:19Like when someone like Governor Pritzker comes out and he says they didn't do their

28:24job at the same time he was out there saying, don't do this job.

28:27He's up in Minnesota honoring Alex Petty and Renee Good and no one should ever

28:33die. Don't misunderstand. No one knows more than me that I had to bury a

28:37child. I understand loss all too well.

28:39Right. So I get that.

28:41But Katie and Sheridan, unlike Alex Petty and Renee Good, did not interject themselves in

28:48the middle of a law enforcement operation, regardless who was running it.

28:52You have, you have people with, you know, they're armed and you're going to go

28:56take your car or you're going to start kicking these people.

28:59It, how do you think this is going to end?

29:02And then you're carrying a firearm on top of that and behaving that way.

29:06There's a responsibility you must show and some respect you must show to that firearm

29:11that you don't go running around with armed people kicking cars and spitting on people.

29:17It's, and, and so the governor has consideration for those because he can use them

29:22for a political reason. He can't use a political reason for the Katie's of the

29:26world. He, it's inconvenient for him and it can't be used for his benefit.

29:31Therefore, they need to be ignored and disappeared.

29:35Right. It doesn't work for them.

29:36But let me ask you this, because you bring, you bring this up and we

29:40talked about this on the podcast earlier about the fact that J .B.

29:44Pritzker actually went to Minnesota.

29:47But let me compare the two sides for a minute, because, you know, when the,

29:51when the left said they didn't like what was happening in Minnesota, they went out

29:55there, they protested. They certainly did get violent.

29:58They got, they became, they had riots.

30:00They pushed back. There were responses to what happened.

30:07And the president then said, OK, I'm going to change how we operate here.

30:11He made the change. And there's been multiple changes at DHS.

30:15Obviously, he changed out even the secretary of DHS.

30:19He listened. He made the change.

30:22When this happens on our side, I hate to even say it's not a side

30:28when it happens, when someone gets murdered in the United States.

30:31When someone is murdered like this, like your daughter, like Sheridan, should there be protests

30:40in the streets from the people who are calling for us to just have law

30:46and order? Should we be louder?

30:47I mean, are we just too relaxed about these things?

30:50I had never even heard Katie's story before I heard Sheridan's.

30:54That's the that's the sad thing about it is we aren't going out there and

30:59saying enough is enough, JB.

31:01Stop. You have to stop these practices.

31:04You have people that are losing their loved ones.

31:06Are we not being loud enough?

31:08Well, I get I don't I don't think the loudness has anything to do with

31:12that. You got to look at someone like JB Pritzker, who's very, in my opinion,

31:17ineffectual, uncaring, uncompassionate, very robotic.

31:21Right. What he's his North Star is ideology.

31:26Right. He believes he's in it for the game.

31:28He wants if people think Illinois is his final destination, he doesn't want anything to

31:33do with Illinois. He's using this for something else.

31:35So therefore, he doesn't care about the victims or the citizens.

31:39He's trying to position himself for something that he he thinks he's going to run

31:44for. I don't know. Maybe he might run for Pope, too.

31:46I have no idea what he's thinking.

31:48It's certainly not Illinois. But but the thing with this is when you when your

31:54North Star is politics and is ideology, I feel really more sorry for them.

32:01But the problem there is they think they're righteous in their ideas and they're the

32:06most dangerous. Right. Because they feel their righteousness does not allow anyone to question their

32:14effectiveness, their policies. It's full speed ahead and they never pause.

32:22They don't have the humility in their service to pause and understand what citizens are

32:27saying. They just full speed ahead in whatever they think is going to get them

32:33where they need to go.

32:33So it's a sad life, personally.

32:36I mean, I maybe a little bit understand it.

32:38He grew up, you know, again, there was this term that, you know, he.

32:42Born on third base and thought he hit a triple.

32:44But so when you have everything given to you and you've never worked for anything

32:50and you never had to struggle, things might look a little bit differently.

32:55And that empathy is, I think, sort of fades away when you're when you're growing

33:00that way. He has none.

33:01And I'm example number one of that.

33:04There are so many others, to your point.

33:06There are thousands of victims, but tens of thousands.

33:09But on top of that, now you've got to start talking hundreds of thousands of

33:13really victims that are suffering, that are left behind.

33:16So it's not just these victims.

33:18And that's what upsets me last year when he was saying when Chairman Comer was

33:23asking him, should he should this guy have been in the state when he killed

33:27Katie? And he wouldn't answer that.

33:28He said all he could say is, well, look, we're going to adjudicate him.

33:31And he's if he's a criminal, he's going to get his time.

33:34But sorry, Governor, that's not good enough.

33:36You could have vetted him out if you had any minimal standards, right?

33:41You could have vetted him out.

33:42Katie would be alive. It's not good enough to say, well, he's now going to

33:45spend some decades, a couple of decades in jail, if even that.

33:49And meanwhile, we don't care about the dozens of family members are suffering the rest

33:54of their lives sitting with a life sentence.

33:56See, this is what he doesn't understand.

33:58And the consideration and my goodness, just stop for a minute.

34:03Pause. Can you really handle half a million plus to come in within a few

34:08years? Because Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas were created a free for all.

34:13You can't handle what you got in your state.

34:16You can't take anymore. Just threw the door wide open.

34:19Remember when. Governor Abbott started sending immigrants to New York and to Chicago and they

34:27said, this isn't fair. We can't take this.

34:29Well, this is exactly that's that's the point.

34:33It's we can't take this.

34:34We can't do this. But that's that's a deflection.

34:37That that's a deflection on Governor Pritzker.

34:40He blames Governor Abbott with the buses.

34:43How many buses really did come to Chicago?

34:45A hundred. Right. A bus holds, what, 70?

34:48OK, let's call it a thousand buses.

34:50You let in over half a million.

34:53Greg Abbott's buses only was a dent in that.

34:57You and they call it humanitarian.

34:59Look in the mirror. Stop blaming others and deflecting.

39:13experienced, they say, look, the person who did this, they got a sentence.

39:18Maybe it's not even a life sentence.

39:20They go to jail, and some of them have already gotten out of jail.

39:24Some of them have gone on to commit more crimes.

39:27I mean, that's the crazy part about it.

39:29And yet they say to me, but we got a death sentence.

39:31We lost our person forever.

39:32You were telling me what that weekend was like before.

39:36And then what I always think about that, too, is as you're planning, like, you

39:42know, everybody has planned, and then they just lose that person.

39:46And all those plans just, it's just all melts away.

39:50Tell us about what that was for you.

39:51It's so, we get the phone call on the 19th, and to hear that your

39:59youngest daughter was killed on the streets of Urbana, Illinois, doing nothing but minding their

40:05own business, we couldn't even process it.

40:10Why? Katie's sister and her are only a year apart.

40:14They are so close, like you couldn't believe.

40:19People couldn't be closer than those two.

40:22So now her sister's texting us right away, because from the time they get up

40:26to the time to go to bed, they're always together, even though they're in separate

40:29universities. She's texting us. Katie's phone's at the police station.

40:34She knows the location of the phone.

40:36What's happening? I'm worried. I'm freaking out.

40:37So now we're like, we can't even, like, process this.

40:41We have to stop. She's got two siblings.

40:43They cannot hear outside of us.

40:46We had to get into a car in January in a snowstorm in Michigan and

40:50get up to the university five and a half hours to tell my other daughter

40:53that her sister was killed.

40:56And what haunts me to this day is when we walked into her apartment and

41:02she saw us, and she knew, and her reaction is seared in my brain.

41:08She knew that her daughter was dead, or I mean, her sister was dead.

41:12And she, I mean, we, I'll never forget that day.

41:19I will never, it haunts my dreams.

41:22It haunts me that I wasn't with Katie.

41:25I would give everything I have and the rest of my days for just one

41:30more hour with Katie. So we held her, her sister.

41:34We comforted her. We spent time with her.

41:38Her mom stayed. I drove back because, you know, she's got another sibling down here,

41:42a brother. It was the longest day of our lives.

41:46All this happening when we couldn't really process what they did to Katie.

41:52A violent. They had to pry open that little Honda Civic just to drag her

41:59dead body out of the car.

42:01I wasn't there for her.

42:04It pains me to this day.

42:06I know what the Gormans are going through.

42:08I know the sleepless nights they're going to have.

42:11I went days without sleep because I used to have these vivid, vivid dreams of

42:17Katie. Her and I, like we were back again.

42:20And then I'd wake up and your mind plays these tricks like she's alive and

42:23she's not really dead. And then you're like, she's dead.

42:26And then you don't want to go to sleep because you're scared you don't want

42:30to do that whole thing over again.

42:31So now you're not sleeping for days because you got questions in this.

42:35May of 2025, I can't recall the exact day.

42:38I wish I just noted it down, but I didn't.

42:41Everything was such a fog back then.

42:43She came to my dreams as vivid as I'm talking to you.

42:46We're both crying. She hugs me.

42:48She kisses me. And she says, I'm okay.

42:52And I have never seen her since.

42:55And it breaks my heart.

42:57Because she should be here.

42:59I would trade places with her in a heartbeat.

43:01Now I just have to wait for the day that we're reunited.

43:04This is the other thing Governor Pritzker doesn't realize that he, that he, what he

43:09took away from me was not just Katie.

43:11Was my consideration of my longevity.

43:15I don't worry about my longevity anymore.

43:19I know I have two other children and my whole thing was watch my kids

43:23grow and watch their kids grow.

43:25That was why I wanted longevity.

43:28So you took my golden years away, Governor, with your reckless policies.

43:32And now I'm just going through life and I want to see my Katie again.

43:37And I want to reunite with her.

43:39I know I will. And I'm waiting to hear all the adventures she had with

43:44our Heavenly Father because she is such a huge personality that the thing she's doing,

43:49I'm sure, is driving half the people up there crazy.

43:52So this is what they don't consider, what they don't care about.

43:57This is real. This is just a gut punch every morning, every night.

44:05And they don't care. Durban's don't care.

44:08Duckworth's don't care. Pritzker's don't care.

44:11Up and down the chain of this state, no one cares.

44:15No consideration for people like us and the Gorman.

44:18The Gormans are going to see the same thing from Illinois.

44:20I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

44:23And I'm so grateful that you are willing to speak out on this because it's

44:28hard. It's hard to tell that story.

44:31But I think those are the feelings people need to understand.

44:35That's the loss. That's what these policies are doing.

44:39That is how painful this is.

44:41And you are one of so many families who wake up this way every day.

44:47I know I have a friend who lost her son, a similar situation, drunk driver,

44:54killed him on a motorcycle, and it was her only child.

44:58And she has the same.

45:00She wakes up every day and she talks about him every day.

45:03And she thinks of him and she speaks about him.

45:06And she has kept his memory alive.

45:09But she is never not advocating for families like yours.

45:14She's always in D .C.

45:16She's always fighting. And it's so important to speak out.

45:20I know it's so hard for you.

45:22I can see that it's so hard for you.

45:23I mean, it's hard for me to even hear the story because my heart breaks

45:28for you. But I am so impressed that you are doing this.

45:31And I thank you. Thank you for speaking up.

45:34Thank you for telling your story.

45:35Thank you for making sure people hear the pain of not taking care of Americans.

45:41Yeah, and that's, you know, that's the main point for me is no one.

45:46I wish I could explain it in better words.

45:48Honestly, I wish I just can't.

45:50It is something no one should ever have to experience.

45:52It's not right. And that's the only reason why I'm speaking out.

45:56And I will continue to speak out.

45:57And I will continue to speak out so that other families can be saved.

46:01And that I want our politicians to start listening, that their ideology should not be

46:10so rigid that they cannot stop, take a breath and reassess.

46:16That's not losing. That's not showing weakness.

46:20To me, that's the opposite.

46:22And the fact that you can't do that is so disheartening to me, is so

46:27discouraging that we have policymakers that will continue to go headlong into this.

46:34I was at the hearing listening to some of the Democratic senators after even I

46:39told my story as if I wasn't even there.

46:42They're going headlong into ISIS terrorists.

46:46DHS needs to be defunded.

46:49You know, all these immigrants are only here for a better life.

46:52And they're our neighbors. And they're the backbone.

46:54All this is just rhetoric.

46:57It's demagoguery. And it should stop.

47:00And they need to start taking some consideration for others.

47:03It's very difficult to watch.

47:06Any elected official who is a parent who can hear your story and what you

47:09just said about feeling as though you've had your golden years ripped away from you

47:14and that that image of you and the torture of being toggled between your children

47:21who are here on Earth and your child who's in heaven and that that feeling,

47:26that pull to be with both sides, the two that are here and Katie, who

47:32is celebrating. She's I we know she's in a beautiful place.

47:38We know that she's enjoying her time with our Savior, but she's meant to be

47:43with you for longer. So I appreciate that.

47:46But I appreciate you sharing that.

47:48I hope that there are elected officials out there that are listening to this, that

47:52are understanding that it's not cruel to make sure that we're safe.

47:57This is not cruel. This is actually these are the policies that are so critical

48:03to making sure that people can live in this country and have the American dream

48:06and enjoy their families. And that should be what we want.

48:09And yeah, I just want what's cruel, Tudor, what's cruel is what they did during

48:12the Biden New Yorkist years.

48:14Yeah, that was cruel. And that was extreme.

48:17And to now deflect today to say we're too extreme.

48:22Where were these same voices during the Biden New Yorkist years when people were being

48:26exploited? Children are being exploited.

48:29People were being killed along the way.

48:32You had misery at the board.

48:34Where were these voices? This is not about this was not about bettering people.

48:40This was not. They were doing something insidious.

48:42I don't know why the Department of Justice can't look into some of these people

48:46like a Mayorkas. I don't understand why they get away with it.

48:50But this you cannot say this is cruel and not turn back and say, well,

48:55that was cruel, cruel as well.

48:57So therefore, we need to, you know, where I'm sitting, you kind of got to

49:02be extreme now because you have to combat the.

49:05extreme that was before. You don't get one and not the other.

49:08I'm sorry. You created this environment.

49:10Someone has to get it figured out.

49:12And I'll just say this.

49:13It is all set up for that to reoccur.

49:15If that if this if they get back into power, they have still those systems

49:21set up to make sure those those doors go wide open, that the border reopens.

49:25So it is so critical to hear your voice.
