Rep. Krishnamoorthi Responds to Trump’s Botched Cover Up
2/18/202613 mincomplete
0:00State regime media, which calls itself Fox, is absolutely losing it as more information from
0:07the Epstein files are released with over 38 ,000 references to Donald Trump in the
0:12redacted files, potentially a million references in the unredacted files that we know about.
0:18And now we've learned that there are potentially 50 terabytes of information that remains missing,
0:2650 terabytes of files. In other words, the million or three million records that were
0:32produced in unlawfully redacted form may only constitute 2 % of the files.
0:38So what is state regime media, which calls itself Fox, doing well?
0:42Hosts like Mark Levin, who hosts the Mark Levin Show, who's just a full propagandist
0:48for Donald Trump. Here's what he posts.
0:50Now, finally stop the bullshit trying to link POTUS to Epstein.
0:55The woke Reich grifters, congressional Democrat hacks, and media thugs continue to libel POTUS from
1:05Russia to Epstein. Weave a country to save from these reprobrates and others.
1:12That's what Mark Levin says.
1:14And he cites a former police chief who investigated Epstein in the mid -2000s, told
1:18the FBI that he received a call from Trump at the time to say, thank
1:22goodness you're stopping him. Everyone has known he's been doing this.
1:27That's not exculpatory, you idiot.
1:30Donald Trump previously claimed he did not know what Epstein was doing.
1:34And the fact that after Epstein was arrested, Donald Trump said everybody knew what he
1:40was doing. Donald Trump was like best friends with the guys.
1:43He's a great guy who liked women on the younger side.
1:47And of course, we saw all the other allegations and references to Donald Trump in
1:51the files. So that's what Mark Levin is saying, like implicating Donald Trump, apparently.
1:56And then you have Jesse Waters, along with Greg Gutfeld, say some of the most
2:02disgusting things to try to downplay the sex trafficking ring run by Jeffrey Epstein, which
2:08the Trump regime officials are in these files over and over again, whether it's Phelan,
2:15the Navy secretary, Lutnik, Trump, you name it, Bannon, they're all there.
2:19Here's what Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld said about Epstein.
2:23Let's play it. It looks like he's mostly just a fixer, a guy who advises.
2:28He helps people with their problems.
2:30Sometimes those problems are you need a girl and or some penicillin or if you
2:37need it, he's got it.
2:38He's a sex rabbi. He should perform at the halftime show.
2:44The fact that that's how they're referring to child sex trafficking, that they're joking about
2:50it, they're laughing about it, they call him a sex, they call Epstein a sex
2:54rabbi and a fixer. That's what's going on on state regime media.
2:58So clearly, they needed to change topics right away, right?
3:02So they bring on somebody named Katie Zakaria, who they say is a political legal
3:07strategist. Like, all right, what are we talking about?
3:08What are we talking about?
3:09We're talking about it. OK, Katie, talk about your hat.
3:13You wear a MAGA hat.
3:15You're at a gym and people wear mean to you.
3:17And let's make that, with everything that's going on in the country right now, with
3:21everything that Americans are going through, we're going to focus on the following story.
3:25Here, play this clip. Here we go.
3:27Put the screen up on the thing.
3:29New York Post, why my gym cave to anti -MAGA bullies and how I fought
3:34back. Trump forced Captain Katie Zakaria.
3:37They said at the gym, you can't wear it.
3:39And you said what? I said, I can't wear this.
3:41I earned this in Michigan, Dearborn, Michigan.
3:44We flip Michigan for President Trump.
3:45Happy to be part of that.
3:46And he said, you can't come to my gym and wear this hat.
3:50And because I have all these liberal women.
3:52The hell are they talking about?
3:53Let's bring in Democratic Congress member Raja Krishnamoorthy.
3:58You know, with all of these very serious issues going on, as we learn more
4:02about the cover up of the Epstein files.
4:06I mean, that's literally one of the top stories that they're talking about on Fox.
4:11I mean, it's ridiculous, Congresswoman.
4:13Your viewers already know this, but, you know, there were a thousand plus then girls,
4:19now middle aged women who were victims of this child sex trafficking ring that Jeffrey
4:26Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell perpetrated and conspired on for years.
4:32These middle aged women have not had a single measure of justice in 20 years.
4:38And now we're finally, we're finally after having met them, after having heard their stories,
4:46you know, seeing some files being produced.
4:49But we learned that there's millions and millions of pages of pages, more files that
4:54have not been produced. And the files that have been produced are so heavily redacted
5:00that it's very hard to tell what's in them.
5:02Now, I had a chance to actually review these unredacted files last week.
5:07And so I started that process.
5:09I'll be going back next week, I'm sure.
5:12And I got to tell you, like, there's a lot of names in there of
5:16people who should come before our committee, who should be part of the investigation, who
5:20should be cooperating because they could be co -conspirators.
5:25And we should, the whole public should be able to see who they are, actually.
5:29I heard from Congressman Walkinshaw, from Congressmember Goldman and Congressmember Raskin that there are emails
5:36that are sent from Trump's lawyers to Epstein lawyers that are in the unredacted files
5:42that are not public that actually referenced that Donald Trump was allowing Epstein to remain
5:48in the club and that Epstein was never actually even a member to begin with,
5:52but that he was a guest.
5:54And then Epstein forwarded that email to Ghislaine, and now the DOJ is claiming that
6:00there is a privilege, that this is somehow privileged and can't be produced.
6:05Did you see records like that or documents?
6:07What did you see like that?
6:09Well, I saw stuff that was, sometimes you couldn't tell if it was an attorney
6:14that was part of the exchange.
6:17But one of the things that I had a hard time figuring out was why
6:21things were even redacted. But what I also saw, which was really bizarre, is that
6:28there were certain pages in the quote -unquote unredacted form which were redacted as well.
6:35And I'm still trying to figure out why that is.
6:38In addition, there are just all kinds of bizarre email chains that I think one
6:45challenge here is I don't understand the rhyme or reason behind the redactions because I
6:53can't figure out why certain emails would be privileged or have anything in them that
6:59would merit being redacted. There's just no explanation.
7:02So it's just a mess.
7:04But I also think that part of it is what I'm really worried about is
7:09they also unredacted victims' names maybe as a brushback pitch to kind of get them
7:17to see, well, look, you're asking for transparency.
7:19This is what happens when you get transparency.
7:21You know, then it's not just how Fox is covering, you know, the Epstein files
7:29that we showed you. It's also what the Trump regime is doing in hoisting Fox
7:34up as their preferred state regime media, also hoisting up CBS as their backup state
7:40regime media. You know, and even what CBS just did to James Tallarico and Stephen
7:45Colbert and basically said, you can't do this interview with James Tallarico and the lawyers
7:51threatened Colbert. And so Colbert had to play the interview on YouTube, which probably got
7:57more attention, frankly, than it would have anything if it aired on CBS.
8:01But, I mean, that level of FCC intervention over you can't have James Tallarico, who's
8:09running for the United States Senate in Texas as, you know, as a guest.
8:13But then when Trump does these things, he like, you know, it's the Streisand effect
8:18or like he brings more attention to it.
8:19Everybody wants to watch the Tallarico interview.
8:22Exactly. Exactly. People hate this stuff.
8:25They hate this. I think, by the way, this is one of those things that
8:29I personally think strikes a chord with many Americans.
8:32They don't want their government telling them what they can watch, what they can't watch
8:37in terms of this type of content, especially if it feels very political.
8:44You know, remember what happened with Jimmy Kimmel, as you recall, when, you know, Trump
8:50didn't like what he said.
8:51He basically got the FCC to come down hard on Jimmy Kimmel, or it's his
8:57employer, I should say. And then, you know, Jimmy Kimmel went off the air.
9:01But then, lo and behold, there's a huge groundswell of support for him, including even
9:08from certain Republicans and conservative circles.
9:11And that public pressure got the administration to relent.
9:16He was back on the air.
9:17So I think that these types of things really backfire in the end.
9:20But we have to shine a light on them.
9:22You know, Congress is shut down right now, or MAGA Mike sent everybody home until,
9:28I guess, the State of the Union, at least.
9:31Department of Homeland Security is a partial government shutdown.
9:34I feel like when you and I do these interviews, it's like deja vu.
9:38It's like, wait a minute, weren't we just talking about a government shutdown like a
9:42few months ago and then a few months before that?
9:45And, you know, now you have MAGA Republicans saying that it's non -starters for them
9:50to ever even consider a negotiation where ICE agents would have to remove their terrorist
9:56masks. The masks must stay on.
9:58That's a non -negotiable, they say.
10:00And also Republicans say it's a non -negotiable that you would require ICE and Border
10:06Patrol, Gestapo, to get judicial warrants.
10:10The administrative warrants that they basically fill out for themselves is enough.
10:14How dare you ask about judicial warrants?
10:17That's not feasible, like literally in our Constitution.
10:20But what do you say to this moment that we're in before we go, Congressman?
10:24That's where they're taking the stand.
10:27They got to have their masks.
10:29I mean, to me, my own view, I don't think the Democrats are going far
10:34enough on the Democratic negotiables.
10:36I want to see ICE and Border Patrol abolished.
10:39Everybody prosecuted. But, you know, the Democrats are like, OK, judicial warrants, body cams, take
10:45off the masks and don't go around polling stations.
10:49Republicans are like, no way.
10:50How do you even talk to these people if they're like, no way to those
10:54things? I think you hit on a great point.
10:57Those are very reasonable. Look, all you know, one way of summarizing what I think
11:03the Democrats, at least at the bargaining table, are saying is, look, ICE and CBP,
11:07at least at the least, need to abide by the same standards, rules and regulations
11:13that local law enforcement do.
11:14And that means no masks, ID on, body cameras on, no warrantless arrests.
11:22There have to be third party investigations of the use of force and there can't
11:26be roving gangs of ICE and CBP agents who are basically stirring up trouble throughout
11:31the country. That's just basic stuff to me.
11:34And I also included in my list of demands, and I think that the current
11:42list of negotiating demands reflects this, you know, you can't have ICE and CBP agents
11:47at polling places because my fear is that they're going to use ICE and CBP
11:52as paramilitary almost to discourage voting, to intimidate voters, and basically to, you know, monkey
12:02around with the 2026 elections.
12:04I want to remind people, you are running for the United States Senate seat there
12:09in Illinois. Where can people learn more about the campaign before we go?
