0:33T's and C's apply. Second hour of...
0:36Welcome back in. No, that's my fault.
0:38I'm sorry. It's Clay's. Go for it.
0:40In the second hour of the program, I think we mentioned this going to break,
0:46that we've got Senator Bill Cassidy at 2, and then Tom Homan at 2 .30.
0:53But in this hour, it is just us hanging out with you.
0:56And, Buck, I wanted to dive into this story because we talked about it some
1:00yesterday, and I think it is kind of a perfect example of everything having to
1:06do with the disaster in many big cities when it comes to illegal immigrants and
1:12crime. But before we get to that, I had asked our team, producer Greg in
1:20particular, we were talking in the first hour about some of the Democrat messaging on
1:25Iran and how even the New York Times has been writing, hey, things are going
1:29really well compared to Desert Storm and compared to, for instance, Panama.
1:34But I did want to play for you.
1:36We played Chuck Schumer refusing to answer a question from Joe Scarborough about how he
1:41would assess things going, and is it basically a good thing that the Ayatollah is
1:45gone and that the Iranian Navy doesn't exist anymore and that the Air Force has
1:49basically been wiped out. Remember, it was only last year.
1:53This is from June 2nd of 2025, before the first bombing of Iran by the
2:02American military. This was Chuck Schumer taunting Trump for not being tough enough on Iran.
2:11Cut 33. When it comes to negotiating with the terrorist government of Iran, Trump's all
2:17over the lot. One day he sounds tough, the next day he's backing off.
2:20And now, all of a sudden, we find out that Whitcoff and Rubio are negotiating
2:25a secret side deal with Iran.
2:28What kind of bull is this?
2:29They're going to sound tough in public and then have a side deal that lets
2:32Iran get away with everything?
2:34That's outrageous. We need to make that side deal public.
2:37Any side deal should be before Congress and, most importantly, the American people.
2:42If Taco Trump is already folding, the American public should know about it.
2:46No side deals. Okay, so Trump was so weak that he was already folding.
2:52He then bombed Iran. Now he's taken out the Ayatollah, and Schumer can't answer basic
2:58questions. Make sure we share that cut on video from the Clay and Buck feed
3:04because I do think it's important to keep in mind just how unintelligible Democrat arguments
3:11are as it pertains to what should happen with Iran.
3:14Okay, let's go to Chicago.
3:16And a couple of updating details here.
3:19We are expecting a White House press conference with Caroline Levitt at some point in
3:25time, and there is a lot of coverage that's been going on this social media
3:30addiction trial. For those of you who have been paying attention to that, Fox News,
3:37Fox Business is their lead story right now.
3:40They're expecting a verdict from an L .A.
3:43court over that lawsuit that was filed on social media, and we will get to
3:49that to the extent that there is anything that comes out of it.
3:53But I did want to go back to Chicago.
3:58Young freshman in college, Sheridan Gorman, was just in downtown Chicago walking along a public
4:09park, and she was murdered by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant who had already been arrested
4:15twice. And it's gotten a lot of attention on audio and video media like this
4:23one, and it's so much so that now a lot of Democrats in Chicago are
4:29having to address this, particularly J .B.
4:31Pritzker, who traveled to Minneapolis to express his remorse over the deaths of the two
4:38individuals there at the protests.
4:41And now a lot of people are talking about it in Chicago, and they're really
4:47just kind of telling you, yeah, we don't really care about the life of young
4:51college students if they are taken by illegal immigrants.
4:55Here is, listen to this, Chicago Alderwoman Maria Haddon says the murdered Loyola student, Sheridan
5:03Gorman, well, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and she might
5:09have startled the illegal immigrant who killed her.
5:13This is real. From Monday, video posted to social media.
5:19They go out and look here, they walk around, so the kids were out doing
5:22normal things people do in the neighborhood.
5:24And it sounds like this might have been a wrong place, wrong time, running into
5:29a person who had a gun.
5:31They might have startled this person at the end of the pier unintentionally.
5:35Might have. But can you believe that's real?
5:37They might have startled the person at the end of the pier unintentionally.
5:42And the illegal immigrant who killed this young, innocent college student.
5:47Well, he was just startled.
5:49I can't believe that's real.
5:51Here is. But it gets it gets just as bad, if not worse.
5:55J .B. Pritzker, governor of Illinois, says the murder of Sheridan Gorman is Donald Trump's
6:01fault. Cut 20. He saved the Sheridan's parents.
6:05He just confirmed that they played policies, including those in Illinois, after their daughter's murder.
6:11This has been a terrible tragedy.
6:13Yeah. Sorry. I don't know what happened to that audio.
6:17We could barely hear it ourselves.
6:19I don't know what the issue was, is that I'm assuming that that is something
6:25on our end and not the actual audio.
6:28There's more. Here is Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, asked directly, will you apologize
6:34to Sheridan Gorman's family for the policies that got her murdered?
6:39Here is what the mayor said.
6:41I apologize to Sheridan's parents for the policies that you promoted that have directly caused
6:50her death. That suspect would not be in the city, would not be in the
6:53country, but for your policies.
6:56Will you take this opportunity to apologize?
6:57Well, again, I believe that we're all grieving the loss of Sheridan and other folks
7:02who have lost their lives because of sentence violence.
7:05And let's just be very clear, between the Safety Act and the Welcoming City Ordinance,
7:10the Welcoming City Ordinance was passed 40 years ago by the first black mayor in
7:13the history of Chicago. And the Safety Act was passed under the governor at that
7:17time, who was a Republican, Governor Rauner.
7:21Thank you for your questions.
7:23Well, I'm not apologizing to Sheridan's parents.
7:25Hi, Barry. No apologies. You have nothing to say.
7:27Okay, so no apology at all.
7:31They don't care about the death of this young girl, this college student, by and
7:38large, Buck, because the person who did it was an illegal immigrant who should have
7:42not been in this country at all.
7:44He was from Venezuela. He was arrested when he came into the country.
7:49He was then arrested for committing a crime in the country.
7:52He should not have been here at all if he were not here, and he
7:55came across when the wide -open border was here under Joe Biden.
8:00If this border had been sealed, Sheridan Gorman would still be alive.
8:05There are a lot of people like her.
8:07This is a Lake and Riley -like situation, just in Illinois instead of Georgia.
8:13This is an acceptable loss to Democrats.
8:18That is the truth. They could stop this from happening, and they choose not to.
8:23It's more important to the mass of the Democrat base, the mass of the Democrat
8:29voter, to think that they're good people.
8:32They're not racist. They're not xenophobic.
8:35They're inclusive. America's a nation of immigrants.
8:38It's more important for them to feel those bumper sticker slogans coursing through their veins
8:44day in and day out than to protect Americans from being killed on the street
8:49for no reason whatsoever or be raped or be robbed or carjacked or any number
8:55of things. They make a decision every day in favor of those things continuing to
9:01happen so that we can have illegals.
9:03And let's be very specific about this, too, Clay.
9:05Not just illegals in general, illegals who have committed serious crimes and have orders of
9:13deportation outstanding against them. Democrats do not want those individuals to leave the country.
9:18Like I said, we are miles and miles away from gentle abuela who has been
9:25here for 30 years and running a local business somewhere, and maybe we could figure
9:30something out. No, no, no.
9:31That's not what we're talking about.
9:32That's not even – right now, in Minneapolis, the interrupters, whatever they call themselves, who
9:39were getting in the way of ICE operations, they were stopping ICE, and they were
9:43told this, and they don't care.
9:45They were told this by the ICE officials.
9:47They were told this from the news.
9:48It was true. Top security risks.
9:52People who are preying on other human beings who have no right to be in
9:57this country in the first place.
9:58Democrats don't want them to be sent out of the country.
10:02This is how devoted to this – it really is – illegals being able to
10:07stay in America has become a religious belief for Democrats, and it also, of course,
10:11has a long -term political strategic tie -in of making this a one -party state
10:16by transforming the demographics of America so that we have no cultural or historical or
10:22ideological cohesion. We're just some, you know, polyglot stop -by station, welfare ward, an economic
10:32unit, an economic union that has nothing holding it together other than whoever's in charge,
10:40whoever's running the system. Yeah, look, I think the positive is we are driving down
10:47violent crime. And the reality is – I think there was one thing that's how
10:52we're going to do this until we're doing that.
10:52You If we had not had a wide open southern border, the violent crime rate
10:56would be much lower. And unfortunately, there would be a lot more people alive today.
11:01Can you imagine, Buck? I mean, just strip away all of this for a moment.
11:05Can you imagine what it's like to send your 18 -year -old off to college
11:09in a city like Chicago?
11:12You've spent your whole life putting all of your love into her or him.
11:17I'm about to send a kid off to college in August of this year coming
11:22up. And she just gets murdered in cold blood in a park in Chicago?
11:29Did absolutely nothing wrong? It's not even like you can go back and deconstruct what
11:34happened to her and say, Boy, if she had just not done this, if she
11:39had just not done that.
11:40She went for a walk in a freaking park.
11:44You know, Lake and Riley went for a jog.
11:47In a park. Those of us out there, it's one thing if you get into
11:51a bar fight or you get into a scuffle and awful things happen, you can
11:55go back and say, Boy, I wish they hadn't made that choice.
11:58Go to a park and you're dead because illegals killed you?
12:03Illegals that had already been arrested multiple times and should have never been in this
12:07country? I just find it to be so thoroughly reprehensible that we could be in
12:14this situation at all. And the fact that Democrats won't address it in any way
12:21or we'll see if we can get the audio back up.
12:25The fact that J .B.
12:27Pritzker's response to a college kid getting murdered in a park in Chicago is to
12:31say Donald Trump's responsible for it?
12:34Well, this is all they have is now they are the burglar who, when caught,
12:40says you were stealing the stuff.
12:42That's that's all they've got.
12:44They have nothing to argue here that makes any sense.
12:47So they just have to go on offense.
12:50They have to say everything is Trump's fault.
12:52That's the default for everything.
12:54Everything bad is Trump's fault.
12:55No matter how obvious it is that Trump is actually trying to fix it and
13:00that they, the Democrats, are making choices that make the bad thing happen.
13:04And they're just going to keep doing this.
13:06They are dug in on this.
13:07Clay, they're dug in on it with the crime thing, with Trump's policy of using
13:12federal law enforcement to help out and bring on the violent crime rate.
13:16This is now proven. This is a proven approach to saving people's lives in every
13:23city and particularly those high crime cities with high minority populations that are getting.
13:31That's where a lot of the victims of the crimes are coming from.
13:34And, yes, by the way, it's also where a lot of the perpetrators of the
13:36crime are coming from. Clay, you might have seen this.
13:39This is data that was shared out yesterday in New York City.
13:42The first I couldn't believe the first nine months last night, the first nine months
13:47of and this was a dot gov website.
13:50So, I mean, this is like the data is coming from a a government site.
13:55First nine months of 2025, there were three hundred and fifty six shootings in New
13:59York City. Two with a black perpetrator, two with a white perpetrator, city of eight
14:07point five million people, three hundred and fifty six shootings, black perpetrator, black person doing
14:13the shooting, two involved white individuals, three hundred and fifty six to two.
14:18And keep in mind, the black population of New York City is about twenty percent
14:22of the city. So, that's you know, what are we just what do we just
14:29say about that statistic? What is the conversation supposed to be in New York City
14:34when you're talking about the enforcement of crime?
14:36I'm sorry, the enforcement of law to deal with crime.
14:41Yes, you're going to have a disparate impact on the black community.
14:44That is a fact. You're also going to save a disparate number of black lives
14:48and the ninety nine percent of law abiding black New Yorkers benefit from just dealing
14:55with the reality of, yes, there are far more violent crimes committed by blacks in
14:59New York City than any other group.
15:02Yes, that is the that is the fact that is the reality.
15:04And this is what Democrats never want to touch, never want to deal with.
15:07Well, that's also why when Chuck Schumer said, oh, I guess Joe Biden as well,
15:13Joe Biden in particular, that white supremacy was the number one danger facing the country.
15:18And that was that that was the Democrat argument.
15:22Yeah, that's just frankly not true at all.
15:26All right. We'll take some of your calls and we'll continue to roll here.
15:30We're expecting a press conference in the White House starting soon.
15:34So we will see what the updates are there.
15:36In the meantime, it's Wednesday hump day.
15:39If maybe you're having a little bit of difficulty and you woke up this morning
15:42and you said, oh, I still got Thursday.

17:12Tees and sees apply. Welcome back into Clay and Buck.
17:16So, we have kind of a quick turnaround here.
17:18I'm just going to tell you something, Clay.
17:21I found myself watching the show The Pit with my wife last night, which is
17:26on HBO, which is basically, think of it as ER, but in Pittsburgh, those of
17:30you who are ER fans.
17:31And it's actually got the same guy, Noah Wiley, who is in both.
17:35He was in that one.
17:36He's in this one, you know, many years later.
17:38They had ICE show up in this episode.
17:41ICE in the emergency room acting like the vanguard of Attila the Hun, manhandling people,
17:51terrifying the staff, the whole thing.
17:53You know, you sit there, you're like, they just can't, they can't, can they?
17:57They can't just make a show about a thing that anyone can watch.
18:02We have to get the whiny, ignorant, lib, political lecture.
18:07I know a lot of you are saying, Buck, that's what you get for watching
18:09an HBO program. I watch almost no TV, but it's about to turn into no
18:14TV, I think. I think that's where we're heading.
18:18That's funny. I've been told that I would like Landman, so I may watch that
18:22as soon as the NCAA tournament is over.
18:25You haven't watched that, right, or you did?
18:28I watched a little, it's a little weird.
18:30They have like a 30 -year -old actress playing his 17 -year -old daughter, and
18:33it's very, like, there's some weird stuff going on there.
18:36Okay. There's a weird deal.
18:38I have not seen that, so I will get updated.
18:43By the way, the jury awarded $3 million in damages, according to the headline on
18:48social media trial on Fox News.
18:50I would think that's probably a huge win for the tech companies because it cost
18:56them more than $3 million to try that case.
18:59Prize picks. You, right now, as we get ready for the Sweet 16 March Madness

19:50Welcome back in. Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show, the Wednesday edition of the program.
19:57I had a great time with all of our friends down in Jacksonville yesterday, and
20:03I appreciate everybody giving us the attention and time there.
20:07We've got a great affiliate, as we do in many different parts of the country.
20:11I thought this was great.
20:12This is from Sean Hannity's new podcast, and many of you will be listening to
20:19Sean Hannity in about an hour from now and watching him on Fox News later
20:23tonight, where you can see me, scheduled to be on Fox News with Sean later.
20:27I saw this come across the Twitter timeline.
20:31Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he had a meeting with donors.
20:36These are people who had given money to his re -election effort in the Naples
20:42area. And I think you guys will enjoy hearing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tell us
20:48who one of those people was.
20:50Listen. So in that debate, kind of one of my opening things was to tell
20:54the story about his father -in -law, and I didn't have a chance to go
20:57into it as much there, so I'll do it now.
20:59I heard Biden the season pissed him off.
21:01Well, so I'm running for re -election, so this is probably three, four years ago,
21:05and I'm at an event at a restaurant in Naples, and we're kind of in
21:10like a back room. So you have like a table.
21:13It's kind of big, and there's probably like 25 people around.
21:16And so we sit there, you know, everyone stands, sit down.
21:19I'm like, all right, tell me a little bit about you, you know, whatever.
21:21And I knew most of the people, but not all.
21:23So they'll go, hey, Governor, you know, thanks for helping me with this or this
21:27or that. They'd all say the little p.
21:28So it gets around to the other side of the table, and this gentleman, who
21:31I didn't know, gets up and just says, Governor, I just want to let you
21:35know we moved. My wife and I moved from California, which you guys are doing.
21:38You run such a great state.
21:40It's so refreshing to be here.
21:42We've never been happier. We love the way everything's going.
21:44And then he paused, which, you know, look, that was nice to hear.
21:47here but like honestly i hear that a lot and so it wasn't anything that
21:52conspicuous and then he paused and he looked up and he said oh by the
21:55way i'm gavin newsom's father -in -law and that whole place erupted gavin newsom's father
22:02-in -law how awesome is that uh moved all the way across the country and
22:10decided that he would rather live in florida run by ron desantis than the state
22:15run by his own son -in -law of course of course i mean no the
22:21funniest thing is in some ways no one's surprised by this at all i don't
22:25even the gap by the way i don't even think gavin newsom's surprised by this
22:27i think gavin newsom knows he's not good at running things but he also a
22:33lot of this is said you know who really runs the state of california public
22:36sector unions and and uh different you non -profit or ng and rather ngo interest
22:42groups right environmentalist groups and public sector unions actually call the shots in the state
22:48of california but clay it's i thought it was really funny too because i know
22:52this as well i know it from my own experience of telling ron desantis in
22:57person like you've done such a good job you're saying that how many politicians do
23:02you know who are who have a big job governor of a state of 21
23:07million is a big job how many politicians you know are like yeah you know
23:10another day of someone telling me to like uh the we're doing an amazing job
23:14running this place and the politicians are fantastic here at making sure everything is great
23:20like i feel like politicians basically get dumped on all the time by most people
23:23ron desantis is tired of so many people telling him how great he is at
23:28running florida that's where he is hold on though you just got married now your
23:33father -in -law is great and he lives in florida but i want i'll put
23:39it in my perspective too if you got married and you had risen to governor
23:44of a state that your mother and father -in -law lived in and they decided
23:52while you were governor to leave the state move to a new state and become
23:59donors to the opposite political party and let everyone know that they love the job
24:06you were doing and were willing to say it publicly i i don't understand how
24:13gavin newsom wouldn't lose his mind over this if i if i if i look
24:18my father -in -law i was just with him this past weekend he lives in
24:22michigan if if he moved to tennessee and i was governor of tennessee and he
24:28bailed on the state and went to a blue state and donated money to the
24:32governor there and said i used to live in tennessee but my son -in -law
24:36was the governor there and i didn't like the way things were going i would
24:39be like i'm easygoing you're excommunicated from the family like that would be a huge
24:45slap in the face so i i think you're i think you're seeing this all
24:49wrong because you're looking at this the way that you would react if you were
24:54in gavin newsom situation yes clay gavin newsom is like he's like a an alien
25:01lizard from another he has no there's you're not going to hurt his feelings it's
25:06just about gavin newsom you're not going to hurt his feelings with how california is
25:10run or whatever there's no pride in doing a good job son -in -law was
25:16the governor would be so ecstatic about this this is he doesn't care that he
25:21left i'm telling you gavin newsom does not care he only he's governor so that's
25:27great and he wants to be president and nothing else matters meaning do people like
25:32it do people that he meets really like the job he's doing as it doesn't
25:36matter it's all about gavin newsom if your son if your father -in -law what
25:40like let's presume gavin newsom runs against ron de santis like let's just pretend that
25:44was 2028 if your own father -in -law won't vote for you for president if
25:50he leaves the state when you are governor that is such a public slap in
25:55the face that i don't understand how you couldn't see it as anything other than
26:00i just i'm trying to tell you i think gavin newsom is a high functioning
26:08sociopath and does not care at all that's what i'm trying to tell you it
26:11does not even doesn't even factor into his radar gavin newsom could care less what
26:17any family gavin newsom's wife could vote republican and he'd still be like did we
26:21win he doesn't care it doesn't matter it's just about him it's all just about
26:26him i i am still staggered by this in just a family relationship that you
26:35would by the way caroline levitt is starting to address we'll keep tabs on this
26:39too but props to the props by the way and i think uh ron went
26:44on florida governor ron de santis went on to say that gavin newsom's father -in
26:48-law is a very successful guy and what is this wife two wife three i
26:53don't know what gavin newsom's on right now but definitely two current wife um and
26:59uh and so uh not to mention by the way you're moving away from all
27:02your grandkids everything else i just i think this is a pretty supreme indictment of
27:08uh of gavin newsom now to your point he may not care at all that
27:12to me is even more of a sign of what a soulless so he is
27:16if his father -in -law bails on the state because he's running it so poorly
27:21during covid and then donates money to his chief political adversary and goes to his
27:26fundraiser that is incredible i'm telling you get this guy on the show he might
27:31be listening to us right now i want gavin newsom's father -in -law on the
27:34show yeah gavin newsom's father -in -law if you're listening call in uh and clay
27:38i'm telling you gavin does doesn't phase him doesn't phase him one bit he will
27:43look you in the eye with homelessness in his state i think it's doubled since
27:49he's been governor it's something crazy on every possible front as governor of california everything
27:55he'll look you when he came in he'll look you in the eye if you're
27:58like hey how's homelessness going your state and be like honestly we've done the best
28:02job dealing with the homelessness situation of anybody in history and i couldn't be prouder
28:06of it he doesn't care he is a total sociopath so that's why like this
28:12yeah yeah you're right it's funny in the ron story and everything it's great and
28:15of course it's true too because you can't compare people i know who love and
28:21there are i have friends who they are california right they're they're like me with
28:25new york until covid i knew that new york had its problems and i was
28:29like when i used to do the show a show alone clay i would talk
28:32to other wr listeners i'm like guys we love this place i know it's you
28:35know i love the whole tri -state area and this is home for me and
28:39everything else and then covid finally broke me with it i know people who will
28:43say california is the most beautiful state in america the most wonderful state i absolutely
28:46love it but it's run really poorly yeah and i'm talking about democrats by the
28:51way i'm not talking about republicans i'm talking about people that i know who live
28:54there and they think the place is a mess but it's their it's their absolute
28:58favorite uh state anyway here's here's an analogy for you on that buck because i
29:03i think there are a lot of those people california is a super beautiful woman
29:08it can be so destructive to itself because so many people look at the natural
29:14beauty and are willing to put up with awfulness as a result i actually i
29:19would co -sign the analysis that california is like a uh is like a bikini
29:24model with borderline personality disorder look that one up by the way guys you don't
29:28want to be dealing with that so yeah it's uh it's like a it's like
29:32a victoria secret model with bpd it's very tough i i mean think about that
29:39as the analogy because it's such a naturally beautiful place that even when you are
29:44being led astray by it you come back and the beauty keeps you there because
29:48it is we've talked about this quite a bit of all the states out there
29:51if you just want to think about mountains skiing you know whatever you want if
29:56you want beautiful beaches i think california is the most beautiful state in america and
30:01as a result i think people put up with utter incompetence and uh it is
30:06in that way like many of you out there probably listening to me right now
30:10you've either dated or sometimes married beautiful women uh that are otherwise destructive and you
30:17just keep coming back because of the beauty i think there's a lot of men
30:21nodding along right now saying i've been there learned my lesson and so you're saying
30:25california exists on the crazy hot scale somewhere along the lines of like a stripper
30:31i mean that's that's kind of the which is the old crazy hot california is
30:34a 10 with 10 craziness yeah oftentimes that overlaps for those of you out there
30:40that have seen that great old guy drawing the crazy hot scale the crazy hot
30:44matrix the crazier you are a lot of times the the hotter you are too
30:48a lot of men but you know what makes a lot of sense and isn't
30:51crazy at all being prepared for the future financially and gold is a great way
30:57to get prepared so just think about it this way if you put twenty thousand
31:02dollars into gold uh two decades ago it would be worth a hundred and fifty
31:08thousand dollars today that's a return isn't it that's quite impressive but even just in
31:14the last year gold shot up more than 65 percent and a lot of analysts
31:18believe gold is going to continue to head up so when there's instability in the
31:22world you know like the shutting of the strait of hormuz money printing inflation all
31:26kinds of stuff gold is a safe haven asset and birch gold can also step

32:39just moments ago had caroline levitt from the west wing addressing the country about Operation
32:45Epic Fury. This is what the White House press secretary just said moments ago, 37
32:51hit it. From the outset, President Trump and the Department of War estimated it would
32:56take approximately four to six weeks to achieve this critical mission.
32:5925 days in, the greatest military the world has ever known is ahead of schedule
33:04and performing exceptionally. Day by day, the Iranian regime is being crippled, and their ability
33:09to threaten the United States and our allies is being significantly weakened.
33:13Their ambitions of building a nuclear weapon have also been crushed to an even greater
33:17degree than they were in Operation Midnight Hammer in June 2025.
33:22The remaining elements of the Iranian regime have another opportunity to cooperate with President Trump,
33:28permanently abandoned their nuclear ambitions, and cease actively threatening America and our allies.
33:34But the President's preference is always peace.
33:36There does not need to be any more death and destruction.
33:39But if Iran fails to accept the reality of the current moment, if they fail
33:43to understand that they have been defeated militarily and will continue to be, President Trump
33:49will ensure they are hit harder than they have ever been hit before.
33:53President Trump does not bluff, and he is prepared to unleash hell.
33:57Iran should not miscalculate again.
34:01Look, I think that, as we said, I think we nailed it.
34:06Right now, President Trump has got the carrot and the stick.
34:09And Buck's point is he may hit him with the carrot and the stick.
34:12But he said, by Friday, we need to have some form of resolution in this
34:18conflict. And if we don't, I really think he's going to take Cargillin and basically
34:25say, hey, we're taking over Iran's ability to produce and distribute oil and natural gas.
34:33And again, if you look at the way that the market is moving, by and
34:38large, oil has kind of gotten used to this situation right now.
34:42Price is not adjusting very much.
34:44One interesting thing, Buck, you and I last week, the price of oil and gas
34:48had differed largely, whether it was being produced in the Middle East or whether it
34:53was being produced in the United States.
34:54It skyrocketed in the Middle East.
34:56It's now come back to, at least this morning, where both the prices were very
35:02similar across the country and around the world.
35:04The divergence was no longer there.
35:06And I think it's because I was texting with a buddy this morning who's in
35:10private equity. And he said, hey, I think we're going to find out very quickly
35:14that the straight -of -form moves is back open.
35:16And when that occurs, then we're going to be in a situation where the stock
35:20market's going to pop again because the fear has priced in a little bit.
35:25And the reality is not what has been priced in by the markets.
35:30So we will see how exactly this ends up playing out.
35:33But I think Trump is letting it be known, hey, if you don't negotiate with
35:37me, and if we don't get what we want, then there are going to be
35:39severe consequences. And it is funny to me, Buck, that Iran is nervous because twice
35:44Trump has been negotiating with them and just basically taking them out in Iran with
35:51June and then with the attack that killed Khomeini right off the bat on a
35:57Saturday when they had no idea what was going on.
35:59Yeah, it's tough to bluff someone at the poker table if you're worried they may
36:05flip over the poker table and just slap you unconscious.
36:08And that's kind of where Trump is with Iran.
36:10Like, he's not tolerating any nonsense.
36:13Here we have some podcast, some talkbacks, rather.
36:19Podcast listener Robert from Clarksville, Tennessee.
36:23This is B on the talkbacks.
36:25Hit it. Buck Sexton, this is Robert from Clarksville again.
36:28And you said it happened once.
36:30It will happen again. And I do believe that was an Armageddon reference from the
36:35very beginning of the movie.
36:38That is an impressive poll.
36:40That is an impressive poll, I have to say.
36:43That, you know, we were going to get hit by, it's an asteroid, right?
36:50Not a common asteroid. Yeah, we had to send a nuclear weapon to blow up
36:53the asteroid, which sounded crazy 20 some odd years ago.
36:58I think it's actually what we would do if there were truly an asteroid hurtling
37:02its way towards the planet.
37:03I think we would send a nuke and try to blow it up.
37:06I mean, we've been testing to see whether much smaller asteroids can be knocked out
37:12of the pathway of where they're going now.
37:15Not ones that threaten the United States or the world that I know of.
37:19And, yeah, they blew it up.
37:20Did you know this? I look at NASA .gov.
37:23You would think they would know this.
37:26Asteroids are rocky. Comets are icy.
37:30And meteors are much smaller.
37:31That I knew. So, it was an asteroid in Armageddon.
37:35I didn't know the comets.
37:36Did you know the comets are icy?
37:38I feel like, how is that even real?
37:40I think I knew that.
37:42You did? Good for you.
37:43I didn't know that. Well, I don't know that I had thought much about the
37:46difference between asteroids and comets before, but I think that I knew that comets oftentimes
37:50had ice associated with them.
37:53The AI overview on Google of this says that comets are icy, dirty snowballs that
37:59form in the outer solar system.
38:01I did not know that they were icy, dirty snowballs.
38:04Yeah, I think producer Greg, who is a nerd and took it to vacation to
38:07go watch eclipses, says, and I think I knew this, too, comets have...
38:10tails right asteroids don't have tails i don't so you and producer greg are comet
