0:33Tees and sees apply. Welcome in, everybody, to the Wednesday edition of the Clay Travis
0:38and Buck Sexton show. Has Trump already won the Iran war?
0:42The negotiations between the Mueller regime and the Trumpster are going fast and furious already.
0:51What is the outcome going to be here?
0:53We will discuss that with all of you.
0:56There's a lot changing there in real time.
0:59Speaking of changing in real time, the situation at the airport looks like ice riding
1:06to the rescue of TSA.
1:09And a brilliant move. Thank you, Linda from Arizona, who even got, as we mentioned,
1:16a shout -out of sorts on the Jimmy Kimmel program to let you know just
1:22how much Linda from Arizona.
1:23But tell you guys, when you call us, and we always say to you, it's
1:26just you, me, Clay, and a few million of our closest friends.
1:32It really is true. There are people from Alaska to Miami, from Maine down to
1:39Arizona or Southern California who are listening to this program.
1:44So that's not to psych anybody out.
1:47It's to psych you up.
1:48You really do have a voice that so many of your fellow Americans can hear.
1:52Yeah, and I would just also point out, and I've been talking about this for
1:5620 years on radio, be ready to talk.
1:59The number of callers that start with us, I give credit to Linda.
2:03She had a great idea.
2:05But she also was ready to go.
2:07If it's someone whose name is different than yours, if it's someone whose state is
2:13different than yours, start talking.
2:16No one knows who you are.
2:18Your argument is going to carry the day.
2:20If you begin your argument by saying, oh, are you talking, am I on?
2:25Like, just prepare every time we say, hey, we're going to go to a caller,
2:29start talking. The worst -case scenario is you're talking into a phone that nobody else
2:34is hearing. Best -case scenario, you're talking to millions of people, and you've hit the
2:39ground running, and you're already making your point, and you have already prepared for it.
2:43Buck, I've told you this.
2:44I'm not just speaking as a radio host.
2:46When I was a kid, I called into local sports talk radio in Nashville.
2:52I know what it's like to be sitting there on the phone, nervous, anticipating, excited,
2:57wanting to do a good job.
2:59I was 12 years old.
3:00I was 10 years old.
3:01I was calling in to give sports takes in Nashville back in the day.
3:04Somewhere there may be tapes of those.
3:06I was ready to go.
3:07I didn't care if you got my name right.
3:08I didn't care if you got my city right.
3:10I'm going to roll and tell you exactly what I think.
3:13That's funny. I've done media training for friends, including some who now work professionally in
3:18the industry but had never done it before.
3:20And one of the first things I said to them all the time was, as
3:24soon as it is your turn to talk, it is go.
3:27It is gentlemen, start your engines.
3:29It is accelerator. It is not, well, you know, very important.
3:34People make decisions about the value of your contribution immediately.
3:39And they've basically come to a conclusion within the first 10 seconds as to whether
3:45you sound like you know what the heck is going on.
3:46So that's a side note, media training for the day that we weren't planning for
3:50our esteemed callers. But there you go.
3:53But I bring all that up about ICE because we are scheduled to have Tom
3:57Homan on in the third hour of the program.
3:59So you've got to stick with us here.
4:00We're going to cover a lot of news.
4:01We're going to get to Tom Homan.
4:03We also have Senator Cassidy joining us, too.
4:06Am I right in that one?
4:08Yes. Yes. Senator Cassidy joining us as well.
4:10Well, and maybe surprise guests, maybe some invites out.
4:14Yeah, something pretty interesting going on.
4:16We're spicing it up with the guests these days.
4:19And let's just say we are willing to reach across the aisle.
4:23Plenty, plenty of reaching across the aisle.
4:25So with that all said, we will dive into the situation of ICE at the
4:29airports with Tom Homan, also immigration enforcement operations.
4:33One of the most important, I would perhaps argue, after keeping the economy booming, the
4:38most important promise of the Trump administration.
4:41Tom is the guy. He is the man.
4:43He is the one who we want to ask all these questions to.
4:46So we will have him for you.
4:47But, Clay, let's start with Trump, commander -in -chief and his Department of War here,
4:53looking at all of the latest.
4:55And if you go with the Wall Street Journal saying here, Iran playing hardball, mediators
5:01push for talks with the U .S.
5:03is the Iranians have received a 15 -point plan from us to end the war,
5:11which basically lays out all the Trump administration demands.
5:16Tehran is saying they reject the proposal and have put out their own conditions for
5:22a deal, including reparations. Tehran is saying they are just like a vehicle.
5:24I don't know. and recognition of iranian sovereignty over the strait of hormuz you got
5:32arab states are alarmed by trump's eagerness to do a deal according to the wall
5:36street journal here leaders of saudi arabia uae lobbying trump to stick with the war
5:41until iran is sufficiently weakened clay this has we have military supremacy but this is
5:47now turning into a contest of wills influenced by political pressures here and abroad i
5:55don't believe that iran has any ability to make any demands whatsoever and um i
6:02actually i can't believe this buck but i'm going to give credit to the new
6:05york times this morning uh because i was reading the new york times editorial page
6:09and they actually have an editorial saying things are going really good in iran and
6:16many people just don't really understand or are unwilling to uh discuss how things are
6:24going this is by brett stevens the headline buck is the war is going better
6:30than you think new york times editorial today uh and this is a great open
6:36and i think it's important i can't believe i'm giving credit to new york times
6:39but i read them every day and so sometimes i read something i say well
6:42i wasn't really expecting this opening paragraph of the editorial page of new york times
6:47today from this article most americans probably don't look back at march of 2012 if
6:54they remember it at all and think of terrifyingly high gas prices in the month
6:59when the hunger games ruled the box office and president barack obama was on his
7:05way to a comfortable re -election this is interesting buck the price of brent crude
7:10closed the month around 123 a barrel that would be about 175 a barrel in
7:20today's dollars right now the price of oil and gas a barrel 88 uh and
7:28that is basically roughly 95 in adjusted inflation um you know numbers so perspective on
7:39the price of oil and gas it is cheaper today than it has been for
7:45much of the 21st century when adjusted for inflation and the reason why i bring
7:50it up and i thought it was a good editorial is the only thing you
7:54can say negative about this action in iran so far is the oil prices because
8:00the actual casualties he runs through brett stevens does a really good job talking about
8:05all the military actions and the loss of material and the loss of men is
8:09virtually non -existent then you also have this shocker from over on ms now the
8:18newly rebranded msnbc yes where clay my boy as i saw this morning i thought
8:25about you yes this this is pretty wild everybody joe scarborough you know in a
8:31random moment of sanity deciding to really rake chuck schumer over the coals for a
8:39minute on this one mika tried to come in she was like no stop i
8:42love schumer stop it stop it and joe's like i can't honey i'm sorry i've
8:46got to be tough here but joe saying look isn't it a good thing that
8:52the worst terrorist regime on the planet has had its entire military apparatus destroyed with
8:57incredibly low level of loss from the united states side play cut one listen to
9:04this exchange no hold a second you gotta answer my question first yeah is it
9:08a good thing that that iran i think you would agree with me epicenter of
9:12terrorism in the world since 1979 is it good that their military infrastructure is being
9:18degraded to the degree that it is yes or no it's it's you can't because
9:21it's a premature question what is going to happen in the next several months no
9:24no i can ask that question i said no no no i can't i can't
9:28so you have a military side but i can show you my chart but it
9:31was i i think i threw it away you have the military side you have
9:34the political side i'm simply asking on the military side is it good regardless of
9:41whether we agree with going in or not is it good that iran's military infrastructure
9:46has been seriously again i have to tell you joe first you can't what's going
9:52to happen three months from now is it worth it what's going to happen will
9:56the world economy collapse will something happen even worse will the whole energy infrastructure of
10:03the world go up in smoke clay can we just what what a weaselly little
10:08position schumer says hey well what do we do in three months what happens in
10:1310 years in the long run we're all dead you're like hold on a second
10:17this is a very straightforward question are you chuck schumer happy that iran is getting
10:23its military's ass kicked thoroughly and chuck schumer will not say yes that's the democrats
10:29in a nutshell basically buck they do not have a military anymore and so the
10:35question is chuck schumer who claims to be a friend of israel is it better
10:39or worse that iran has no ability whatsoever to have a navy and air force
10:45or effectively any ballistic missiles that they can launch anywhere and increasingly fewer and fewer
10:51drones and chuck schumer doesn't have an answer and your boy joe scarborough has signed
10:55a contract extension through 2029 so you got several more years to be able to
11:00uh to listen to that melodic tone of joe scarborough and i do think we
11:06haven't talked about this a great deal but iran managed to fire a couple of
11:10missiles that traveled nearly to europe um and it was about twice as far as
11:16the range that they claimed they had the ability to to reach there's also again
11:21new york times a couple of different stories there's a big article that crown prince
11:25uh of saudi arabia mbs has been encouraging more strikes from president trump on iran
11:33uh and so i just i look at all this and as we are coming
11:38up on three weeks or whatever it's been buck i don't think this operation could
11:43have gone much better now again i wish 13 people hadn't lost their lives but
11:48this same uh article that i talked about in the new york times and i'm
11:52giving him credit um it it takes us back do you remember uh when we
11:57had the uh uh 1991 operation desert storm which is considered uh as he says
12:04one of the most brilliant military successes of the united states the u .s lost
12:1075 aircraft 42 of them in combat for those of you who remember back in
12:161991 operation desert storm so far we have lost four manned aircraft three to friendly
12:23fire one in an accident not a single one of our planes has been knocked
12:28down by iran considered to be the greatest military operation for those of you remember
12:33it in most of our lives operation desert storm was infinitely infinitely more destructive to
12:41our material and our casualties and here's another one buck most people don't even talk
12:45about the invasion of panama the united states lost 23 soldiers 325 more wounded uh
12:53in the invasion of panama back in 1989 1990 most people don't even remember that
12:58it was a higher casualty event so far than what we have done to iran
13:03i think it's important to contextualize all of these things and understand that the attacks
13:09on the success of this operation are entirely political and in no way justified by
13:15what the actual on the ground result has been so far and i think buck
13:20that's why when chuck schumer was asked about it he had to immediately go into
13:24well we don't know what the long -range impact of course not we don't know
13:28what the long -range impact of anything is we don't know what the long -range
13:32impact of trump's election uh in 2024 was we don't know what the long -range
13:37impact of obama's eight years uh because it takes 100 years to find out exactly
13:42what the long -range impact is but we try to judge things currently based on
13:47the data we have and all of that is extremely positive well you know i
13:51just this would be like if someone asked chuck schumer you know hey this guy
13:56just won the lottery and it's going to change his life forever financially isn't it
13:59a great thing schumer's like well that depends it could put stress on his family
14:03maybe he makes a purchase of a boat and the boat gets into a big
14:07accident and then he wishes he didn't even have that money okay man i think
14:12winning the lottery is usually a good thing for people you know at least they're
14:15happy to have some money can we just can we just agree on that nope
14:18schumer won't do it is iran getting its ass its military's ass kicked a good
14:22thing or not schumer will not say it just it summarizes where the democrats are
14:26on all this for you all right you know the name pre -born if you've

16:12hour of welcome back it's my fault i'm sorry it's please go for it uh
16:18in the second hour of of the program.
16:21I think we mentioned this going to break, that we've got Senator Bill Cassidy at
16:272 and then Tom Homan at 2 .30.
16:30But in this hour, it is just us hanging out with you.
16:34And Buck, I wanted to dive into this story because we talked about it some
16:38yesterday. And I think it is kind of a perfect example of everything having to
16:44do with the disaster in many big cities when it comes to illegal immigrants and
16:50crime. But before we get to that, I had asked our team, Producer Greg in
16:57particular, we were talking in the first hour about some of the Democrat messaging on
17:03Iran and how even the New York Times has been writing, hey, things are going
17:06really well compared to Desert Storm and compared to, for instance, Panama.
17:12But I did want to play for you.
17:14We played Chuck Schumer refusing to answer a question from Joe Scarborough about how he
17:18would assess things going. And is it basically a good thing that the Ayatollah is
17:23gone and that the Iranian Navy doesn't exist anymore and that the Air Force has
17:26basically been wiped out? Remember, it was only last year.
17:30This is from June 2nd of 2025, before the first bombing of Iran by the
17:39American military. This was Chuck Schumer taunting Trump for not being tough enough on Iran.
17:48Cut 33. When it comes to negotiating with the terrorist government of Iran, Trump's all
17:54over the lot. One day he sounds tough, the next day he's backing off.
17:58And now, all of a sudden, we find out that Witkoff and Rubio are negotiating
18:03a secret side deal with Iran.
18:05What kind of bull is this?
18:07They're going to sound tough in public and then have a side deal that lets
18:10Iran get away with everything?
18:11That's outrageous. We need to make that side deal public.
18:15Any side deal should be before Congress and most importantly, the American people.
18:19If taco Trump is already folding, the American public should know about it.
18:24No side deals. Okay, so Trump was so weak that he was already folding.
18:30He then bombed Iran. Now he's taken out the Ayatollah and Schumer can't answer basic
18:36questions. Make sure we share that cut on video from the Clay and Buck feed
18:41because I do think it's important to keep in mind just how unintelligible Democrat arguments
18:48are as it pertains to what should happen with Iran.
18:52Okay, let's go to Chicago.
18:53And a couple of updating details here.
18:57We are expecting a White House press conference with Caroline Levitt at some point in
19:03time. And there is a lot of coverage that's been going on this social media
19:08addiction trial. For those of you who have been paying attention to that, Fox News,
19:15Fox Business is their lead story right now.
19:17They're expecting a verdict from an LA court over that lawsuit that was filed on
19:24social media. And we will get to that to the extent that there is anything
19:29that comes out of it.
19:31But I did want to go back to Chicago.
19:35Young freshman in college, Sheridan Gorman was on the just in downtown Chicago walking along
19:45a public park and she was murdered by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant who had already
19:51been arrested twice. And it's gotten a lot of attention on audio and video media
20:00like this one. And it's so much so that now a lot of Democrats in
20:05Chicago are having to address this, particularly J .B.
20:09Pritzker, who traveled to Minneapolis to express his remorse over the deaths of the two
20:16individuals there at the protests.
20:18And now a lot of people are talking about it in Chicago and they're really
20:24just kind of telling you, yeah, we don't really care about the life of young
20:28college students if they are taken by illegal immigrants.
20:32Here is, listen to this, Chicago Alderwoman Maria Haddon says the murdered Loyola student, Sheridan
20:41Gorman, well, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and she might
20:46have startled the illegal immigrant who killed her.
20:50This is real from Monday video posted to social media.
20:56They go out on the pier, they walk around.
20:58So the kids were out doing normal, normal things people do in the neighborhood.
21:02And it sounds like this might have been a wrong place, wrong time running into
21:06a person who had a gun.
21:08They might have startled this person at the end of the pier unintentionally.
21:13Might have. But can you believe that's real?
21:15They might have startled the person at the end of the pier unintentionally.
21:19And the illegal immigrant who killed this young, innocent college student.
21:25Well, he was just startled.
21:27I can't believe that's real.
21:28Here is, but it gets, it gets just as bad, if not worse.
21:33J .B. Pritzker, governor of Illinois says the murder of Sheridan Gorman is Donald Trump's
21:39fault. Fault. Cut 20. He saved the Sheridan's parents, Tom and Jessica Gorman, and they
21:44played policies, including those in Illinois.
21:50Yeah, sorry, I don't know what happened to that audio.
21:55We could barely hear it ourselves.
21:57I don't know what the issue was.
21:59I'm assuming that that is something on our end and not the actual audio.
22:05There's more. Here is Brandon Johnson, the mayor of Chicago, asked directly, will you apologize
22:11to Sheridan Gorman's family for the policies that got her murdered?
22:16Here is what the mayor said.
22:20Apologize to Sheridan's parents for the policies that you promoted that directly caused her death.
22:28That suspect would not be in the city, would not be in the country, but
22:31for your policies. Will you take this opportunity to apologize?
22:35Well, again, I believe that we're all grieving the loss of Sheridan and other folks
22:40who have lost their lives because of sentence violence.
22:42And let's just be very clear, between the Safety Act and the Welcoming City Ordinance,
22:47the Welcoming City Ordinance was passed 40 years ago by the first black mayor in
22:51the history of Chicago, and the Safety Act was passed under the governor at that
22:55time who was a Republican, Governor Rauner.
22:59Thank you for your questions.
23:00So you will not apologize to Sheridan's parents.
23:02Hi, Barry. No apologies. You have nothing to say.
23:05Okay, so no apology at all.
23:09They don't care about the death of this young girl, this college student, by and
23:15large, Buck, because the person who did it was an illegal immigrant who should have
23:20not been in this country at all.
23:21He was from Venezuela. He was arrested when he came into the country.
23:26He was then arrested for committing a crime in the country.
23:29He should not have been here at all if he were not here, and he
23:33came across when the wide -open border was here under Joe Biden.
23:37If this border had been sealed, Sheridan Gorman would still be alive.
23:42There are a lot of people like her.
23:44This is a Lake and Riley -like situation just in Illinois instead of Georgia.
23:50This is an acceptable loss to Democrats.
23:55That is the truth. They could stop this from happening, and they choose not to.
24:01It's more important to the mass of the Democrat base, the mass of the Democrat
24:07voter, to think that they're good people.
24:10They're not racist. They're not xenophobic.
24:12They're inclusive. America's a nation of immigrants.
24:16It's more important for them to feel those bumper sticker slogans coursing through their veins
24:22day in and day out than to protect Americans from being killed on the street
24:26for no reason whatsoever or be raped or be robbed or carjacked or any number
24:32of things. They make a decision every day in favor of those things continuing to
24:38happen so that we can have illegals.
24:40And let's be very specific about this too, Clay, not just illegals in general.
24:45Illegals who have committed serious crimes and have orders of deportation outstanding against them.
24:53Democrats do not want those individuals to leave the country.
24:56Like I said, we are miles and miles away from gentle abuela who has been
25:02here for 30 years and running a local business somewhere, and maybe we could figure
25:07something out. No, no, no, that's not what we're talking about.
25:10That's not even – right now in Minneapolis, the interrupters, whatever they call themselves, who
25:16were getting in the way of ICE operations, they were stopping ICE, and they were
25:21told this, and they don't care.
25:22They were told this by the ICE officials.
25:24They were told this from the news.
25:26It was true. Top security risks.
25:29People who are preying on other human beings who have no right to be in
25:34this country in the first place.
25:36Democrats don't want them to be sent out of the country.
25:40This is how devoted to this – it really is – illegals being able to
25:44stay in America has become a religious belief for Democrats, and it also, of course,
25:49has a long -term political strategic tie -in of making this a one -party state
25:53by transforming the demographics of America so that we have no cultural or historical or
26:00ideological cohesion. We're just some polyglot stop -by station, welfare ward, an economic unit, an
26:11economic union that has nothing holding it together other than whoever's in charge, whoever's running
26:18the system. Yeah, look, I think the positive is we are driving down violent crime,
26:26and the reality is if we had not had a wide -open southern border, the
26:32violent crime rate would be much lower, and unfortunately there would be a lot more
26:37people alive today. Can you imagine, Buck?
26:40I mean, just strip away all of this for a moment.
26:42Can you imagine what it's like to send your 18 -year -old off to college
26:47in a city like Chicago?
26:49You've spent your whole life putting all of your love into her or him.
26:54I'm about to send a kid off to college in August of this year coming
26:59up, and she just gets murdered in cold blood in a park in Chicago?
27:06Did absolutely nothing wrong? It's not even like you can go back and deconstruct what
27:12happened to her and say, boy, if she had just not...
27:15done this if she had just not done that she went for a walk in
27:19a freaking park you know lake and riley went for a jog in a park
27:25those of us out there it's one thing if you get into a bar fight
27:30or you get into a scuffle and awful things happen you can go back and
27:33say boy i wish they hadn't made that choice go to a park and you're
27:36dead because illegals killed you illegals that had already been arrested multiple times and should
27:43have never been in this country i i just find it to be so thoroughly
27:49reprehensible that we could be in this situation at all um and the fact that
27:56democrats won't address it in any way or we'll see if we can get the
28:00audio back up um the fact that jb pritzker's response to a college kid getting
28:06murdered in a park in chicago is to say donald trump's responsible for it well
28:12this is all they have is now they are the burglar who when caught says
28:18you were stealing the stuff that's that's all they've got they have nothing to argue
28:23here that makes any sense so they just have to go on offense they they
28:28have to say everything is trump's fault that's the default for everything everything bad is
28:32trump's fault no matter how obvious it is that trump is actually trying to fix
28:36it and that they the democrats are making choices that make the bad thing happen
28:41and they're just going to keep doing this they are dug in on this clay
28:45they're dug in on it with the crime thing uh with with trump's policy of
28:50using federal law enforcement to help out and bring down the violent crime raid this
28:54is now proven this is a proven approach to saving people's lives in every city
29:01and particularly those high crime cities with high uh minority populations that are getting a
29:08that's where a lot of the uh the victims of the crimes are coming from
29:11and yes by the way it's also where a lot of the perpetrators of the
29:14crime are coming from clay you might have seen this this is data that was
29:18shared out yesterday in new york city the first i couldn't believe the first nine
29:21months last night the first nine months of and this was a dot gov website
29:27so i mean this is like the data is coming from a a government site
29:31uh first nine months of 2025 there were 356 shootings in new york city with
29:38a black perpetrator two with a white perpetrator city of 8 .5 million people 356
29:47shootings black perpetrator black person doing the shooting two involved white individuals 356 to two
29:55and keep in mind the black population of new york city is about 20 of
30:00the city so that's i you know the what what are we just what do
30:06we just say about that statistic what is the conversation supposed to be in new
30:11york city when you're talking about the enforcement of crime i'm sorry the enforcement of
30:15law um to deal with crime yes you're going to have a disparate impact on
30:20the black community that is a fact you're also going to save a disparate number
30:24of black lives and the 99 percent of law -abiding black new yorkers benefit from
30:32just dealing with the reality of yes there are far more violent crimes committed by
30:36blacks in new york city than any other group yes that is the that is
30:41the fact that is the reality and this is what democrats never want to touch
30:43never want to deal with well that's also why when chuck schumer said uh oh
30:49i guess joe biden as well joe biden in particular that white supremacy was the
30:53number one danger facing the country that was that that was the democrat argument um
30:59yeah that's just frankly not true uh at all uh all right um we'll take
31:05some of your calls uh and we'll continue to roll here we're expecting a press
31:09conference in the white house uh starting soon so we will see what the updates
31:13are there in the meantime it's wednesday hump day if maybe you're having a little

32:20buck podcast welcome back into clay and buck while we're uh tracking down tom homan
32:25uh look if he's busy he's got to save the country he can call us
32:29whenever he wants so he's got to take a brain check no problem um but
32:33we'll get him soon if not now i would say the following clay uh yesterday
32:38the supreme court heard arguments about something that very much the supreme court heard arguments
32:43about something that very much affects the border has to do with whether you can
32:47well what's at issue here is a policy that was started about a decade ago
32:53i think it was a little more where when they would have ports of entry
32:57overwhelmed they would stop people inside of mexico still and be like look we're not
33:03we're not taking any more here and you'd have to wait in mexico until uh
33:07your number was called so to speak and there's not there's a lawsuit submitted all
33:13the way to the supreme court where no surprise open border groups and all the
33:17rest they want it to be you they can't have this policy in place it's
33:23currently not active by the way but it could be if there were surges at
33:26the border um but they want to be able to say this is by the
33:32way the case is gnome versus al otro lado it's the practice is called metering
33:38which is a turn back policy yeah started uh started under actually the obama administration
33:45and because they got they had such a crazy situation going on at the ports
33:50of entry at the very end of the obama administration and then the trump administration
33:54expanded it no surprise there so they would stop people before they could actually set
34:00foot on u .s soil say sorry not allowed and the lawsuit clay is whether
34:08because under the immigration nationality act non -citizens are allowed to apply for asylum if
34:13they are physically present in the u .s this reminds you ever see the old
34:16cartoons where like the the banditos or the bad guys would slide across the border
34:23from texas into uh into mexico and then the sheriff you know that's it you're
34:28not on uh you're not on u .s terra firma anymore and you know then
34:31they could say haha you can't do anything about it um this is a similar
34:36situation except it's stopping them before they're on u .s soil and the immigrants rights
34:43group al otro lado and a bunch of individual asylum seekers also brought this suit
34:48saying hey we're basically in america so we should be able to if we get
34:55all the way to the border we should be able to be covered under in
34:59america as an on u .s soil i think the court's going to come down
35:036 -3 and say no actually in america means in america and we have now
35:10uh from dhs tom holman with us tom thanks for being the time i don't
35:14know if you heard my um my preamble there for a second but can can
35:19you just explain to people real quick this uh physically present in the united states
35:23for asylum seekers what is this metering policy how'd this get going i'm sorry i
35:29just got on my flight was late i just got into a room i didn't
35:33hear that clay i'm sorry oh no that's buck it's okay so there's a there's
35:37a under the immigrate anyway you know what just tell me this let's actually jump
35:40into the airport thing because that's what everybody cares about i was trying to do
35:43a elegant radio turn there but instead let's just get to what everyone cares about
35:48which is ice in the airports how's this going what are the next steps what
35:53are you seeing first but it's bucks i'm in bucks actually i'm glad i'm talking
35:57i don't know what malin talked to i got i got more jobs than marco
36:00rubio hey look bottom line is uh what's happening in the airports is with trump's
36:05uh president trump's idea who called me up in less than 24 hours but the
36:08flanagan i think it's a brilliant idea idea but look you know what that uh
36:12ice is being paid uh president trump asked to get to the airports to help
36:16because a lot of tsa workers are calling in or they're just playing quitting so
36:21we're going to do two things number one we're going to shore up the security
36:23of that airport and keep the you know airways safe and we're going to support
36:27tsa so jobs that don't require like the x -ray training other security jobs whether
36:33it's checking identification whether it's you know luggage whether it's you know providing security around
36:37the checkpoints whether it's you know you know whatever tsa needs us to do to
36:42move those lines quicker and to keep security at the highest level that's what we're
36:46doing but i want to add one more thing i see a lot of stories
36:49about ice immigration enforcement airports no you're damn right you know that our purpose is
36:54to help tsa provide security and get people to checkpoints however these hfi officers and
37:00the arrow officers they see illegal activity they're going to absolutely take action so yeah
37:05we're doing a little bit of everything right now do you expect that this is
37:09clay thanks for coming on you were just talking with buck i know how busy
37:12you are um do you expect you just said you're damn right uh yeah you
37:16just said you're damn right um do you expect that tsa will be able to
37:21help you uh with ice arrest people because and you tell me if i'm wrong
37:26here but what i think about is people are showing up with ids we know
37:30exactly who they are it seems like it could potentially be a very easy place
37:35to figure out if you're arresting the right guys or gals well you want to
37:40talk about targeting enforcement officers absolutely because everybody's got show 90 come through and we
37:45can you know every uh special agent earl officer has a at the cell phone
37:48with the capability of accessing our databases so yeah you know this work we're going
37:53to force immigration when we see it look like table we get a lead or
37:57target lead but you know from tsa saying we got information on this one or
38:01that one yeah we're going to do we're going to do our job we're going
38:04to do you know open a criminal investigation whether you know we've got reasonable suspicion
38:08to question somebody or probably calls to arrest somebody that's exactly what we're going to
38:13do we're going to work with our brothers and sisters in tsa to keep the
38:16airport safe and you know and if someone's transversing the airport they're not in the
38:21country we can we find out about it and we have reasonable suspicion that you
38:24know we're going we're going to take an enforcement action we're absolutely going to do
38:27that we're talking to tom holman uh i don't know if you saw but philadelphia's
38:32district attorney i believe his last name is krasner said threatened to arrest ice agents
38:38at the airport uh what's your reaction when you hear uh soros funded da is
38:44making comments like that that's ridiculous and you know bottom line is uh federal law
38:51always trumps local state law so you know we're reforming our duties as uh enacted
38:56by congress we're not making this up we are enforcing immigration law we're going to
39:01do it all the policy i mean i've been up on the hill negotiating trying
39:04to get this government back open and they basically they said they don't really want
39:08to abolish the ice they want us to just reform us no the language they're
39:11proposing they want they know they just want to shut it down they want to
39:14take tools away from ice i'm not going to do that they've been hamstrung for
39:18four years under joe biden now they're finally doing their duty they're upholding the oath
39:22they took they're enforcing laws that congress wrote and was signed by a president and
39:26that's exactly what we're going to do so you know i'm i'm frustrated they obviously
39:31see some sort of benefit on not funding the department of homeland security right we're
39:39in an elevated threat posture right now and they're in and we got people from
39:44you know cyber security that aren't working we got people you know the coast guard
39:49ain't being paid we got people with you know tsa not being paid fema not
39:53being paid these people are putting this country at great risk during an elevated threat
39:57posture it's just unbelievable that they're not willing to come to the table and meet
40:02with us i've met with them they talk about reform and immigration but i've been
40:06explaining to them the policies of enforcement has not changed in 30 years we had
40:11the same policies under obama under clinton under bush one and bush two so it's
40:16not a policy issue it's an execution issue and and and we fixed that you
40:22know there were some problems in minneapolis i'm and i went up there and president
40:26trump asked me to go up there and address and we we addressed a few
40:28issues but most of men and women 99 percent are doing the right thing and
40:32we're on the right mission but i'm not going to sit there and negotiate taking
40:37authorities or or away from ice to enforce the law it's just it's ridiculous i'm
40:42tired of it we're speaking to tom holman border czar for this trump white house
40:47and tom can you speak to where are we in terms of illegal removals deportations
40:55one year and change into this administration and what are expectations what is uh on
41:02the horizon for deportations going forward is there a plan to ramp up uh you
41:09know so basically how how far have we come to this point and where are
41:12we going over the next year well you know last year we got about you
41:18know a little over 700 000 uh removals uh between the patrol and us uh
41:24the closest year to that was under obama administration in 2012 when i was in
41:29ero we removed 409 000 so we blew that out of water and uh you
41:34know i actually got a presidential rank award for that you know how the democrats
41:38have changed i got an award in 2012 for 409 000 removals and and you
41:43know highest award available now all of a sudden i can't i'm not allowed to
41:46deport anybody but you know if we have the 700 000 we're already making records
41:50but we just brought 10 000 more well not quite we got you know almost
41:54that 10 000 but we're hiring 10 000 more enforcement officers which is going to
41:58just increase those men and women on the street the sanctuary cities and all this
42:03all this crap going on yes it's less efficient we have to work harder we
42:07have to work smarter because they won't give us access to the jails but you
42:10know like like with minnesota you know it was terrible up there but you know
42:14i went up there i sat down with the governor sat down the ag i
42:16sat down the mayor and i explained to him you don't want you don't want
42:19all 3 000 people in your street then let me in the damn jail because
42:23one agent can arrest one bad guy in the jail but when you release them
42:26i got to send a whole few jobs team to find them and because of
42:29all the hate and and and the threats up there then we got to send
42:33a security team to back up the arrest team so you got a dozen guys
42:36out there they could have done the job with one person in the jail and
42:40we got unprecedented uh cooperation in in the county jails throughout the state we you
42:44know we got state prison system working with us it made sense it made sense
42:48because less people are needed to do the job but you know in these sanctuary
42:52cities that's what it is back in the day when i was an agent we
42:55we had access to all the jails one agent can arrest one bad guy but
42:58they released them now we got to send six or seven people for also say
43:01two reasons to find them find someone doesn't want to be arrested which is of
43:05course much dangers for the community danger for the uh more dangers for the alien
43:09could anything happen in the street the rest of much danger is for for the
43:12agents but with 10 000 more agents we'll beat last year's number but you know
43:16things like now we got agents at the airport now and rather than on the
43:20street end of us you know the priority right now is get the airport secure
43:25move those lines through and help our brothers and sisters in tsa but as soon
43:30as uh this shutdown ends and i think it's going to come out to reconciliation
43:33because this negotiation is going nowhere i mean we we we Give it a little
43:39bit, they take away a bunch.
43:42It's just ridiculous. So when we get the government back open, then I can get
43:46out there and get back to the main mission.
43:48But I want to be clear.
43:50We're going to leave a contingent at the airport because we've got human trafficking through
43:55the airport. We've got currency smuggling through the airport.
43:58We've got alien smuggling through the airport.
43:59We've always had a small footprint there.
44:01But what we're seeing now, we may have a bigger contingent there to enforce immigration
44:05law there, too. We're talking to Borders Art, Tom Holman.
44:10You told us before that you thought there were 20 million illegals in the country
44:14after Biden opened the border and let everybody in.
44:17You just talked about, I think, the number was 700 ,000.
44:20How many people do you think are voluntarily leaving?
44:24People out there who see what's going on and just say, hey, maybe this is
44:28not the place for me.
44:30I know there's been numbers out there, but what kind of sense do you have
44:33about voluntary departures? Well, according to DHS data, it's over 2 million at first year
44:40under Trump, over 2 million, either through the home app, CBP home app, or just
44:46leaving. CBP tracks a lot of people when they land in foreign airports.
44:52But we don't really know who goes south to the border, travel south.
44:56But DHS, through some independent studies, said about 2 million.
45:00I think the more and more, and let me tell you something about ICE operation,
45:05about the secure border. We have the most secure border ever.
45:07We've got to give a lot of credit to what's happening, what ICE is doing
45:10in the streets right now, because we sent a clear message.
45:13There's no longer a free ride.
45:14If you're in this country illegally, we're looking for you.
45:17When the whole world sees ICE out there doing massive operations, that sends a strong
45:23message. Don't give your life savings to the cartel, because you're not going to be
45:26released from the border like the Biden administration did.
45:29If you happen to get by the border patrol, we're looking for you.
45:32No more free ride. So I think because of what ICE is doing nationwide, it's
45:37a big factor in why we have the most secure border in the history of
45:41this nation. Tom, home and borders are.
45:44We know how busy you are.
45:45We appreciate you. Anything else you would put out there?
45:46Can I say something real quick?
45:47Yeah. Just want to say something real quick.
45:49Tom, thank you for what you're doing.
45:51You know, and thank you for representing the men and women of ICE and DHS
45:56so well. With all the nonsense the Democrats have been trying.
46:00I just was watching some TV show last night, totally maligning ICE.
46:04You're a true professional. You're serving your country.
46:07And, you know, thanks from me, from Clay, and from the whole audience.
46:10We really appreciate you and all the men and women of ICE who are doing
46:13their job under the Constitution of this country.
46:16Let me add one thing, Dan.
46:17I appreciate those words. Thank you.
46:19But, you know, God bless the men and women of ICE and Borgs.
46:22I was a Borgs agent.
46:23I know what they're dealing with.
46:24I was an ICE agent for a long time.
46:26I know what they're dealing with.
46:27I wish these members of Congress, rather than vilifying the men and women of ICE
46:30and calling them, you know, Nazis and the secret police, which just increases the threats
46:34against them, increases the violence against them.
46:36You know what? Grow a set.
46:39Put a badge on your chest.
46:41Put a gun on your hip and come out with us.
46:43See what they're dealing with.
46:44And see what you have caused from the constant negative rhetoric and comparing them to
46:49the Nazis, which increases the threat against them, which increases the doxing against them, which
46:54has increased assaults over 1 ,400 percent.
46:58So rather than sit in there and call us names, strap a gun to your
47:02hip, put a Kevlar vest on, and come do what we do and see if
47:06you can stand on the line.
47:07I guarantee you, none of them can.
47:10Absolutely. God bless, Tom. To you and all those that you're representing out there, thank
47:14you so much. Clay? Yeah, thank you to Borders R, Tom Homan.

49:22third hour of clay and buck kicks off right now thanks everybody for being here
49:29with us we are joined by louisiana senator bill cassidy senator cassidy appreciate you being
49:37here sir hey guys thanks for having me appreciate it very much uh let's let's
49:43start with where you are on the dhs funding situation here i mean i'm sure
49:48you want you want tsa funded but i'm not sure i haven't checked in on
49:52new orleans airport whether it's been affected at all that would obviously be a big
49:56deal in in your home state that you represent but it looks like there might
50:01be a turning of the tide here you now have ice helping out possibly even
50:06national guard helping out do you think this changes the calculation for democrats or is
50:12this just going to continue on this brinksmanship uh ship where the american people who
50:17are trying to travel end up suffering i think chuck schumer thinks he's got a
50:21winning issue and he's going to ride that horse and i am i am you
50:25know i'm a doctor excuse the term but i'm urinated off i mean we got
50:29people waiting five hours to get through a line we got tsa agents trying to
50:34pay their bills and haven't been paid for six weeks and and and most i
50:40think all the demands that the democrats had have been met okay then they pull
50:45back and say we want more it's like the iranians with the straight of our
50:48moves they think they got a winning issue they're going to continue to hold it
50:52hostage until they extract as much as they can and they don't care the cost
50:56to the american traveler and they don't care the cost to the person who works
51:01for tsa or fema or coast guard it is just man you just deserve to
51:05be angry brother uh in your state new orleans it has been among the worst
51:11of all airports that we've seen not far from you houston has also been bad
51:15what are you hearing uh at the new orleans airport for people out there that
51:19are maybe traveling to or from it's a big tourist destination it's spring break uh
51:24what are you hearing from people at new orleans about what they're able to do
51:28what would you say to people that are going to be or thinking about traveling
51:31through new orleans in the near future so first the woman i spoke to who
51:36was going to come meet me after three hours standing in line which stretched out
51:40into the parking garage she missed her flight and said i'm sorry i can't come
51:43see you uh i talked to the airport administrator sunday and monday are the busiest
51:50travel days usually by mid -morning things are kind of clearing up and so if
51:55you're traveling out of louis armstrong airport now try and get a later flight in
52:00the afternoon uh if you're in the morning go very early uh particularly if you're
52:04on sunday and monday um but but you know the very fact that we're having
52:09this conversation and democrats agreed to a deal months ago and then they then pulled
52:16back and then they agreed again and then they pulled back they don't want a
52:20deal they want an issue and and the issue that they want continues to evolve
52:26which makes me think what they really want is a political selling point that somehow
52:31that they're the savior even though they're the ones screwing it up hey guys just
52:36just really frustrating when do you think this gets resolved i mean there would seem
52:41to be a little bit of optimism um but again as we've mentioned this is
52:44happening all over the country we're hearing about it a lot uh if you had
52:49to guess i mean it is a political issue now democrats have decided to make
52:54it one uh you may have heard we had the ice suggestion help to uh
52:59emerge from this program from one of our callers where is this going and how
53:03do we fix it well the president's going to try and uh you know for
53:07those positions that that an ice or national guard could help with the fellow that
53:13stands at the uh or sits at the exit so they make sure you don't
53:17double back in clearly you know one of the three of us could do that
53:21right i mean that's just like sorry you can't do that um and so so
53:26that won't require training there's some other things that you know the person sitting at
53:29the at the uh x -ray machine that person she requires a lot of training
53:34and so some things they can do and some things they can't uh i think
53:39i was told at one point new orleans airport had an 83 percent sick end
53:43rate and then somebody else told me 43 either way that's a lot of people
53:47to replace and and a lot of those are going to require at least some
53:51training so i like the president trying to get out there get ahead of it
53:55i think we should we're still going to have some problems can you just remind
53:59everybody senator uh that what it is that the democrats actually want like what are
54:06the concessions that they are demanding it seems to me like they essentially want to
54:12be able to call the shots with an executive law enforcement branch uh or the
54:18law enforcement function of an executive branch agency and they're just using this issue it's
54:25like they're taking travelers hostage or at least their time hostage until they can get
54:29what they want yeah it really is remarkable they don't want funding for ice you
54:34And they don't want any money to, like, transport somebody here illegally back to their
54:39home country. Now, in the working families tax cuts bill, we actually, Republicans, anticipated they
54:45might do this in the future.
54:47And so we increased the funding back then for ICE to an amount sufficient to
54:53pay for ICE operations, even if Democrats pull this trick.
54:57So we can actually, you know, navigate that.
55:00That's, you know, we thought ahead, so we can navigate that.
55:04But they also want the ICE agents not to have to wear a mask.
55:11Now, the problem with that is if you get a facial image, you can dox
55:14the person. And then, as somebody points out, they've got their street brigades who will
55:20then go out and terrorize the person, his family, her children.
55:25They will follow them to their home.
55:27And we know that because in Portland, that's what the kind of radical left street
55:32brigade did to federal agents in Portland and harassed the heck out of the family.
55:39So the masks are protecting the families of the agents.
55:45Tom Homan said, listen, we can put numbers on their outfits.
55:48If you want to know who's responsible for an action, you'll put a number up
55:52there, one, two, three, four, and it'll be number one, two, three, four.
55:55And we can trace that number back if someone behaves inappropriately.
56:01So I think what they really want in that case is to intimidate the officer
56:07and their family. They also want body cams.
56:09The administration, the White House, has said, we'll give you body cams.
56:14We'll increase the money going for body cams.
56:17We want to be able to keep the film.
56:18We'll keep the film. So the demands are being met, except for the demands which
56:23would put the safety of the families at risk.
56:26And those are the ones they're dug in on, which kind of like, you really
56:30want the families at risk?
56:31But that's what they want.
56:33We're talking to Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana.
56:37You are working on a bill that is trying to get overall the insider trading
56:44shutdown. This is something that is overwhelmingly popular with our audience.
56:49We hear about it all the time.
56:51Certainly Nancy Pelosi has had the greatest success of anybody this side of Warren Buffett.
56:58What is the likelihood of a bill getting passed?
57:02What are you trying to do?
57:03Yeah, we're trying to restore faith in Congress.
57:06Full disclosure, I'm running for re -election.
57:08One of my opponents, Congresswoman Letlow, has done extremely well in the stock market, including
57:14trading on stocks in which the companies have appeared before a subcommittee upon which she
57:19serves. But this should be about restoring the faith in the American people that Congress
57:25is not a place you come to do well financially.
57:29It's a place you come to do good for the nation and for your state
57:33and for your constituents. And it should be a place you come to do good.
57:38So the fact that Nancy Pelosi and her stock trading has become a punchline tells
57:43you the problem. There should not be a punchline that people in Congress are using
57:48inside information or their families are.
57:50Someone said, well, it's her husband.
57:51But now, OK, right, they never talk.
57:54They never have pillow talk.
57:56So I think this is just about making, helping the American people, if you will,
58:01restore the faith that you come here to do good for the American people and
58:06not to do well for yourself.
58:08Senator, what are your thoughts on where the war with Iran stands right now?
58:14I know there's ongoing negotiation.
58:15The president is saying militarily this has been an incredible display of our capabilities and
58:23has been very effective at degrading Iranian capabilities.
58:27State of Hormuz, is it open?
58:29Is it going to open soon?
58:30That's a big question people have.
58:32Gas prices, obviously, some concern there.
58:34Where do you come down on all of this?
58:37Clearly, the Iranians sending a ballistic missile 2 ,500 miles towards our naval base, Diego
58:45Garcia, shows us that they were developing ballistic missiles.
58:49They just declared it. They said they weren't, and they obviously were.
58:53Next, they obviously were trying to get enriched uranium, and despite their denials, everyone knows
59:00they were doing it for a nuclear weapon.
59:02So you put the two together.
59:03They were trying to develop a nuclear weapon, and they now have ballistic missiles that
59:08could go all throughout Europe and all throughout where many of our bases are.
59:13So the president's decision to go after them will be judged on its success, but
59:19the motivation behind it, to keep them from developing nuclear weaponrys and to keep them
59:22from being able to deliver it, that seems to have been – I see their
59:27point. It seems like that's the case.
59:29It seems like that's the case after all.
59:29In terms of the Strait of Hormuz, our allies like UAE and the Europeans and
59:37the Saudi Arabians, it's going to be tough on them if Iran ends up controlling
59:44the Strait of Hormuz. And I have to think that the president and his administration
59:48are going to make sure that that doesn't happen.
59:50We're talking to Senator Bill Cassidy.
59:52Okay, chaos when it comes to college athletics.
59:56I know that you have a bill that you are working on there.
1:00:00A lot of people all over.
1:00:01the country particularly in your state of louisiana where lane kiffin is now the lsu
1:00:06football coach are very focused on nil maybe might be a new basketball coach headed
1:00:10that way too what uh what say you what's the goal first i know that
1:00:15clay loves lane kiffin i'm sure that clay just like has a poster of lane
1:00:20in his bedroom i don't know that far so so even people put it this
1:00:31way everybody i think thinks that the athletes should have had some revenue sharing the
1:00:36universities are pulling in an incredible amount of money uh and they weren't sharing any
1:00:39of it tommy tuberville former coach at auburn is on my committee he goes he
1:00:44had been pushing for revenue sharing for the longest and it's an open secret that
1:00:49payments were being made so just bring them above the table uh have some control
1:00:53over it that sounds good what's happened and there's an athlete back home college temple
1:00:59it's about 70 years old but he's played basketball at lsu a mentor to a
1:01:03lot of folks going through lsu he'd tell kids you stay at lsu you keep
1:01:08your nose clean at the end of four years you got loyalty to an institution
1:01:12they have loyalty to you and if you're one of that 99 .5 percent of
1:01:17athletes who don't have a pro career you're going to have another career that sets
1:01:21you up for success now kids are changing schools sometimes twice in one year there's
1:01:28no loyalty to the athlete and no loyalty from the athlete to the community or
1:01:32the school and they graduate they don't go to the pros and they end up
1:01:36with nothing sometimes not a degree that has to stop we gotta we gotta take
1:01:41care of the athlete the student athlete i talked to nick sabin about this one
1:01:46of his kids transferred to another university lost 56 credits he was 18 credits away
1:01:53from graduating when he transferred he lost 56 credits now it's easy to imagine that
1:01:59young man never graduated so he ends up doesn't play pros doesn't have a degree
1:02:05and no loyalty from the university we're trying to make this so it's for about
1:02:10the student the student knows the cost the student does well and it's not some
1:02:15agent enticing them into the transfer portal that ends up doing better sleep senator we
1:02:23appreciate time when is the primary in louisiana may 16th oh very soon yeah may
1:02:3016th i think it's like 55 days or something like that so get out there
1:02:34vote vote often thank you sir thank you all righty you know clay we're very
