Hour 1 - A Buck, See I Told You So

0:00This is an iHeart Podcast.
0:02Guaranteed human. Welcome everybody to the Wednesday edition of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton
0:10show. We have a lot to discuss.
0:13Some big things right off the top.
0:15Let's dive in, shall we?
0:17We have an indictment dropped against the Southern Poverty Law Center announced by the director
0:25of the FBI. It seems that the SPLC, which has been an absurd leftist propaganda
0:33work for a long time, it seems that they allegedly were creating racism.
0:40They were paying people to be racist so then they could raise money and say,
0:45we're going to stop all these racists.
0:47So the Southern Poverty Law Center, both arsonist and firefighter, all in one DEI anti
0:56-racism package. Yeah, that is what is going on.
1:00Yes, sir, Clay. Well, I mean, it just kind of comes back to, I think
1:06the big story here is, look, racism is wrong.
1:09And as a result, the vast majority of racism in this country no longer exists.
1:15And if you keep having to have fake race hoaxes and you keep having to
1:22pay people to pretend to be racist so you can raise money while claiming to
1:27fight against racism. Buck, this is one of the things we've talked about for a
1:29long time. If you found an organization predicated on its entire existence being that racism
1:37exists and must be combated, what are the odds that that organization is ever going
1:41to say, hey, you know what?
1:42The job's finished and we can go do other things now.
1:46It doesn't exist, right? And so they have to create a reason for their existence,
1:51even if it is largely unsupported by the existing environment.
1:55You saw this with the transformation of the entire pro -gay and lesbian NGO industrial
2:04complex to trans issues. So all of a sudden we went from gay and lesbian
2:11agenda and all these different nonprofits saying, you know what, actually a 12 -year -old
2:17who says he's a girl who's actually a boy is actually a girl.
2:21Well, that's a different thing, but they had to do something after Obergefell, and so
2:26that was what they transitioned to.
2:27So, yes, it is in fact the case that a very well -funded, very large
2:31hammer will decide that everything is a nail.
2:34And in the case of the Southern Poverty Law Center, it will make the nails
2:37and then say, you need a hammer.
2:39So we will discuss and say, what's with all these nails?
2:43Hold on a second. You're the ones that are making them.
2:45We will talk more about that.
2:47We've also got the Iran situation.
2:51President Trump, yeah, this is, in fact, what I told you guys would happen, and
2:58I'm trying to find the exact, here we go, the truth social posting.
3:03I mean, bottom line here, Clay, is Trump has said, you know what, we're making
3:09great progress with the deal.
3:10We have a lot of pressure on them.
3:11So we're going to extend this ceasefire situation.
3:16Here it is. Based on the fact the government of Iran is seriously fractured, not
3:21unexpectedly so, et cetera, et cetera, I have directed our military to continue the blockade,
3:27et cetera, et cetera, and I will therefore extend the ceasefire until such time as
3:32their proposal is submitted and discussions are concluded.
3:36Two weeks for a ceasefire for a deal ending with extension of the ceasefire and
3:42no deal and no actual limit on when the deal has to happen.
3:47So, yes, this is exactly what I told you would happen.
3:50It did happen. Now we are there.
3:52We can get into that some more.
3:53Clay, I want to return to Iran, actually, though.
3:55It was a little fun.
3:56I told you so. Not to you, but just in general.
3:59It's always fun to do when I told you so.
4:00And I'm going to need to bank up as many of those as possible when
4:03Kamala announces her presidential campaign, and I'm going to be sitting here like, I can't
4:07believe this happened. But the other thing is you're really getting a sense about the
4:14Democrats with what happened here in Virginia.
4:17They, by a very narrow margin, passed this new gerrymandered map.
4:22Now you have, what is it?
4:24Is it 10 to 1 or 9 to 1?
4:2610 to 1. 10 to 1.
4:2710 to 1 Democrat to Republican congressional districts in Virginia.
4:33It is truly absurd. It is absolute maximalist approach to wielding their power.
4:40And yet Tim Kaine, senator of Virginia, here he is, Clay, saying, this is about
4:45standing up to tyranny. Play seven.
4:47We also have a state motto that says, six semper tyrannis.
4:51We will stand up to tyranny.
4:53When Donald Trump weaponized redistricting first in North Carolina in 2023, and the three seats
5:00that he stole were the margin of victory for the reconciliation bill that kicked 80
5:06,000 Virginians off the SNAP food benefit program and cut hundreds of millions of dollars
5:13of Medicaid funding to Virginia.
5:15Virginians said, look, we got to stand up to tyrants.
5:19And that's what Virginians did tonight.
5:21We lived up to our state motto.
5:24And we stood up to tyranny.
5:27Delusional, Clay, utterly delusional, disenfranchising effectively half of the voters of Virginia who now won't
5:34be able to make a choice in their congressional election.
5:37It's going to be a Democrat.
5:39Even worse than than that, Buck, it is northern Virginia effectively saying we own the
5:46state of Virginia. If you look at the way that they have designed all of
5:50those districts, five of them directly come out of northern Virginia and then spiral into
5:56different directions. They have effectively disenfranchised the whole state.
6:01And look, here's what I would say about this result, because, again, 51 to 49
6:06victory. Kamala won by about five and a half points, as we talked about on
6:10this program in the state.
6:12And now Democrats are going to control over 90 percent of the seats in the
6:18state. Republicans have to get tougher.
6:21I'm sorry. This whole like, well, what if we violate norms world that exists in
6:29the Republican Party? As soon as Democrats get power, do you know what they do
6:34to norms? They kick them in the teeth and they put their boot on their
6:38throat and they say we got new norms now.
6:40And so I just look around, Buck, and I just say there's a lot of
6:44I got to be careful what words I use.
6:46Pussy willows in the Republican Party.
6:49And I'm point to Indiana, which we talked about back in the day.
6:53Indiana, Trump won by 20 points, Buck.
6:55And the people in Indiana said, well, we can't really redistrict now because we're worried
7:00about violating norms. And then Virginia said to hell with your norms in a state
7:06that Kamala only won by a little over five points.
7:09They took 90 percent of all of the seats.
7:13This is a form of gerrymander that basically doesn't exist anywhere else in the country.
7:18And to me, it's just a sign.
7:20And I think you just need to prepare yourselves for it.
7:22But all of the Republicans wringing their hands over protecting the filibuster, the minute that
7:28Democrats have the House, the Senate, and the presidency again, they will eliminate the filibuster
7:33once and for all. And they will put in place all sorts of far left
7:37-wing policies. They're just going to do it.
7:39And Republicans are going to sit back.
7:41And there's not anybody out there who's going to say, oh, I'm an impartial umpire.
7:46You're the good guys here.
7:48You know what they're going to say?
7:49Exactly what Tim Kaine said.
7:50This is a response to Republican extremism.
7:53And they're going to go all the way to the absolute most extreme outcome.
7:58And Republicans are just going to left walking into the country club saying, boy, can
8:03you believe what just happened here?
8:05This is really kind of crazy.
8:07And people like you and me who have said, hey, this is what's going to
8:10happen. At some point, if you know you're going to get punched in the mouth,
8:15you can't be surprised when somebody punches you in the mouth.
8:18I don't get this. And so they punched us in the mouth.
8:22Virginia, 51 to 49. They took it over.
8:26Well, it's in a sense, it's even worse than that because they punch us in
8:31the mouth and they're sanctimonious while they're doing it.
8:33Like, they say, like, we had no choice but to stand up to your tyranny
8:38by doing the most absurd, aggressive redistricting of any state in the entire country.
8:44Yes. They are the victimizers playing victim.
8:48Always the case with Democrats, I might add.
8:50This is a very common tactic.
8:52They're the ones that they'll complain, for example, about the way that confirmations work.
8:59Well, they're the ones that broke down the old agreement.
9:01Initially, it was Harry Reid that said, you know what, we're just going to force
9:04votes on certain judges. They do it first, and they hope you forget that they're
9:09the ones that started it, and then they act like they're the heroes when they
9:12accelerate even beyond what they've done in the first place.
9:15So, yeah, I'm looking at Virginia, and I just see it, Clay, as a harbinger
9:19of things to come, starting with the midterms and then thereafter.
9:24My friends, we have been sitting and thinking about what's happening in the country, what
9:31kind of accomplishments can Trump have, what can he do to set things right?
9:35That whole time, the last, call it 15 months, Democrats have been seething with rage
9:45at Trump, at the change in culture, at the federal government.
9:49All these things, whether it's Doge or it's the border or it's all these, Clay,
9:55the explosion of left -wing lunacy that is going to be unleashed.
10:02I don't know what to say other than just be prepared for it, everybody.
10:06We're not going to be completely incapable of handling it, but I do think it's
10:11going to be a shock, especially when you have a lot of people on the
10:13right that have decided, you know, there's some of the things that are really important
10:19that we need to all be talking about are fighting with other people on the
10:21right, chasing conspiracies down to the darkest corners of the Internet.
10:27No, actually, the commie maniacs are going to try to ruin your day -to -day
10:31life as soon as they can.
10:32Just remember I told you this.
10:34We will be back in that reality soon.
10:36I think this is also a time where a lot of people look around and
10:40say, fortify your communities and fortify your state.
10:45I'm glad I live in the state of Tennessee.
10:47I'm never leaving. And you're in Florida now.
10:51you're in Florida now. And I said, I think there are a lot of people,
10:53the divergence between what life is like in crazy left -wing blue states and red
11:01states, I think is going to continue to grow.
11:03And here's what I think is going to happen too, Buck.
11:06The more resources you have, the more ability you have to move, the more people
11:11are going to move. And look, I would say natural reaction to this is Florida
11:15has to put in place, in my opinion, a map that is somewhat equivalent to
11:21what Virginia just did. State of Florida is one of the last that can act.
11:25I would also point out this, and I think this is such a big point
11:28of discussion that needs more attention.
11:31Democrats have been rigging the House for a long time, and a lot of people
11:35still don't realize this. I know a lot of you do, but most people in
11:38the nation don't. They're counting illegal immigrants to steal around 10 House seats.
11:43So they can't theoretically vote, but illegal immigrants are, for purposes of the census, counted
11:52inside of our country. So Democrats are stealing around 10 seats by saying, we represent
12:00illegal immigrants even though they can't vote.
12:03That's a huge deal. And I hope and wish that the Supreme Court decision on
12:09racial gerrymandering would come down because maybe it would impact what Virginia has just done
12:15here. And in the meantime, look, I mean, it was an accurate, roughly, reflection in
12:23a purple state of the fact that it's a divided state.
12:26Six Republicans, sorry, six Democrats, five Republicans, and then they took it to 10 to
12:311. Now we'll see whether the courts are going to get involved in looking at
12:34this and all those other aspects.
12:36My inclination is, given how close we are to the midterms, they won't do anything,
12:40and just wait. This may well be the difference in who controls the House, and
12:46as soon as they control the House, they're going to impeach Trump, and they're going
12:48to block his entire agenda for two more years because they play the long game,
12:52and they have, I think, the wrong policies on virtually everything, but they have a
12:58committed cadre of insane people that will take advantage of any opportunity they can to
13:05advance their insane agenda. I also want to tell you all to subscribe to our
13:09YouTube channel because if you're not, if you're just listening on radio right now, you
13:13would miss the opportunity to see the fabulous jacket that Clay is currently wearing that
13:19immediately makes you want to buy either a timeshare or a reverse mortgage from him
13:25right now. I would say maybe have a mint julep.
13:27This is maybe a mint julep jacket.
13:30I just finished Piers Morgan, speaking of YouTube, so I legitimately did not even have
13:35time to put on my usual T -shirt, which I will do at the end
13:39of this segment. But for those of you out there that have not already jumped
13:45into the YouTube team. Who was it on the Piers Morgan?
13:48Was it you, the Fyre Festival guy, and Beelzebub himself?
13:51Who was on this panel?
13:53There were four of us, Anna Kasparian, Josh Rogan, who was at the Washington Post.
14:00And actually, I've known since I was 18 because he also went to GW.
14:04And now that you've called me out, I'm not going to know the guy's name.
14:08He used to, but he's on our team.
14:12But he's on our team, which is why I feel bad.
14:14If he's a leftist, that's the best slam you could do.
14:16I've not met him before, but he was on as sort of an expert on
14:21shipping. I think he has a naval background.
14:24And he was by far the best, most sane person on the panel.
14:28And I have not met him before, and I have not known him before.
14:31So I do not remember his name.
14:33This is how Clay thanks his scholarly right -wing colleague on the panel.
14:36I know. As soon as you asked me, I was like, oh, man, I'm just
14:39getting led over the middle here.
14:41I got a poor guy.
14:42I'm going to have to figure out his name so I can give him credit.
14:45Inflation. Let's talk about this for a second.
14:47It just chips away at the value of the dollar, which means you're spending power.
14:52To give you some perspective, our dollar has lost 48 % of its value over
14:56the past 25 years. That's what happens when our federal government prints money.
14:59Now, compare that to the value of our other currency, gold.
15:03That's up more than 700 % in the same time period, which is why purchasing
15:06gold with some of your dollars is a really smart long -term plan.
15:10Again, millions of Americans already own gold as part of their retirement savings account, whether
15:15it's a 401K or an IRA.
15:17Over the course of the last 20 years' time, the value of gold has increased
15:20some 700%. I own gold, and I've owned gold for over a decade.
15:25And looking back on it, I wish I had purchased more because it's gone up
15:27so much in value. Birch Gold Group has announced a learn -and -earn precious metals

16:10Clay and Buck. Preset on the iHeart app.
16:13Welcome back in. Clay, Travis, Buck Sexton Show.
16:16Tom Sauer. Great job on Piers Morgan's show.
16:20those of you on youtube that want to watch a little bit later big discussion
16:23almost all about beautiful tom sour we love tom does a great job on the
16:28piers morgan program yes uh so i was doing that now i'm back in my
16:32t -shirt this is like when you're a um remember when you're a kid buck
16:36and you see like your elementary school teacher out of the classroom somewhere and you're
16:40like yeah wait a minute they have real lives teachers like they go to the
16:44grocery store the movie theater or something and you're just kind of blown away by
16:47it that's like me in the dress suit and then i'm back in the t
16:50-shirt when i see you wearing a blazer it's like when a kid sees dad
16:55without a beard for when he's doing him with a beard the whole i'm just
16:58like what is what is going on who kidnapped clay and put him in this
17:02uh in this blazer for radio it was really a shock so i appreciate that
17:06i had literally no time to uh to change before we sat down and got
17:10rolling with this um by the way uh florida has the opportunity if you want
17:17a positive story here coming out of the 51 to 49 victory uh that's the
17:21percentages tiny victory in virginia that allowed them to go 10 -1 florida has the
17:27ability to add potentially five republican seats which would theoretically cancel out all of this
17:36so um so there is still a possibility but i think it puts incumbent upon
17:42uh the nation to have florida for those of us who are saying punch back
17:48against this and actually cancel out what virginia did and by the way almost there's
17:54no toss -up state buck that is anywhere near as gerrymandered as what virginia just
17:59did no not even close not even close yep have you ever driven by a
18:03house with one of those blue tarps stretched across part of the roof it looks

19:06back into clay and box so we mentioned this off the top it was a
19:09story that broke uh last night uh or yesterday in the evening and it's something
19:16that a lot of us have been waiting for for a long time and that
19:19is the uh the comeuppance if you will justice being done uh or in the
19:24process of being done as it pertains to a hate group that is i'm sorry
19:29an anti -hate group that is actually full of hate full of hate for the
19:33right anybody who is a republican and had effectively weaponized the the the history of
19:42civil rights champions they they had decided to appropriate that i'll borrow a word and
19:49present themselves as the modern day civil rights champions by doing the dirty work of
19:54the left pretty gross when you think about it really ugly but aclu is the
19:59same thing i might add aclu southern poverty law center these are entities that at
20:04one point may have done things that you say oh wow that actually but that
20:09time has long since passed and now they just do the dirty work of the
20:13left and really trying to yes sir yeah i saw you're you're 100 right on
20:18all this oh i indeed i was just uh i was just yeah clay was
20:22taken aback by how spot on i was uh but i would i would say
20:25this and of course they used to go after rush uh we're just talking to
20:29the team rush's team uh in the break about that they used to come after
20:32rush limbo all the days i hate monger and everything else well it turns out
20:36that they're basically media matters posing as atticus finch if you will they are media
20:45matters running around trying to do character assassination and pretend that this is about fighting
20:51racism so much so that they are now accused of manufacturing racism in order to
21:00raise money to fight racism and this isn't from some blogger somewhere or just uh
21:08a talk radio host telling you this here is the acting attorney general of the
21:13department of justice todd blanche this is cut 19 listen to this one in the
21:18middle district of alabama a grand jury returned an 11 count indictment charging the southern
21:23poverty law center with six counts of wire fraud four counts of bank fraud and
21:28one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering according to the charges in the indictment
21:33the spLC is a non -profit entity that purports to fight white supremacy and racial
21:39hatred by reporting on extremist groups and conducting research to inform law enforcement groups with
21:45the goal of dismantling these groups As the indictment describes, the SPLC was not dismantling
21:51these groups. It was instead manufacturing the extremism it purports to oppose by paying sources
21:57to stoke racial hatred. Clay, they were writing checks to people so they would go
22:05online, say racist things, and then get together with other people and create, like, racist
22:12marches. And by the way, you see these guys?
22:15We've all been saying this for a long time.
22:17You know these guys that show up with their faces covered in the khaki pants?
22:21And everyone on the right has been saying fed up, fed up for years and
22:26years and years because it's so obvious.
22:29And now we see this and people are starting to put these things together.
22:31This does not exist. There's not some group of khaki -clad KKK members who cover
22:38their faces out of fear all the time because they don't want anyone to know
22:41who they are. This is all, it's all fabricated.
22:46Yeah, they spent $3 million to pay a variety of different organizations to be racist
22:55so that they could say, look at how racist these people are.
22:59We've got to raise money to fight racism.
23:01So effectively, the Southern Poverty Law Center was paying for racism to exist so they
23:07could point to racism that existed and argue that they needed to combat it.
23:11Here's what I would say in general about this.
23:14First of all, this case is being brought in Alabama.
23:18Yes, good move. I do not like the odds of the Southern Poverty Law Center
23:23in a deep red state getting a very favorable jury in this locale.
23:28So I think that is a significant deal in the same way that every time
23:35they try to bring an indictment against Republicans, they always do it, typically in D
23:40.C., which is the most left -wing rigged location in all of America, so they
23:45know they're going to get a good jury.
23:47This is smart when it comes to where you brought federal charges.
23:51The other part of this that I think is significant, look, they're going to defend
23:55themselves and their spokespeople for the Southern Poverty Law Center, many of whom are involved
24:02in politics, have been long assets of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
24:08They're going to say, well, we're just paying undercover agents.
24:11In other words, they're going to say the racism is there.
24:14We were just reporting on it to make the country safer.
24:18This was not actually paying for racism.
24:20That's going to be their defense.
24:22Just prepare for it. Here's what I would say that is significant here, Buck.
24:26And I know everybody wants to pretend that it didn't happen because the whole Biden
24:32era was a disaster. Joe Biden had a public planned speech where he declared that
24:39white supremacy was the greatest threat to our nation.
24:43That's not me making that up.
24:45And then he said, hey, the Georgia bill on voting rights is the equivalent of
24:51Jefferson Davis during the days of the Confederacy.
24:54There's a direct connection here.
24:56This isn't Jim Eagle. Sorry, this isn't even Jim Crow.
24:59This is Jim Eagle, which was the ridiculous talking point that they decided was going
25:04to make everybody be like, oh, my goodness, this is even worse.
25:06This is worse than the 1950s.
25:08This is worse than a pre -civil rights era America.
25:11It's all a lie. But the problem you have is when people in positions of
25:16power decide, as Joe Biden did, that white supremacy was the biggest threat facing the
25:21nation, you know this, everybody who is serving at the behest of the president then
25:26has to go out and find racism.
25:29There's almost none, right? You and I have talked about this for a long time.
25:32If white supremacy was a huge issue, who's the most famous white supremacist in America?
25:38Who is advocating for white supremacy and raising millions of dollars and out there marching
25:44around as the face of any?
25:46There's not even a I can't even name.
25:48Well, it's it's every election cycle.
25:50It's David Duke. And the only reason anyone knows his name still after decades and
25:55decades is because CBS News, the second they get a Republican, excuse me, do you
26:01denounce David Duke? It's the ultimate when did you stop eating your wife question, right?
26:04Did you denounce David Duke?
26:06They did this to Trump, of course.
26:07We remember that. They did the Trump and Trump was just like, what are you
26:09even talking to me? This is such clown stuff.
26:13They also lied, of course, what Trump said about Charlottesville, as we know, and the
26:17other part of this. And I would like people to make this a more this
26:21should be more a part.
26:22I actually I don't agree that there is no systemic or there has been very
26:27limited systemic racism in this country.
26:29There has clearly been systemic racism in this country against white and Asian people.
26:33Yes. For my entire adult life.
26:35And that is a fact.
26:37And that is a Supreme Court backed legal reality.
26:40There has been systemic racism in America in favor of black, Latino and Native American
26:46individuals for jobs, for college, for admissions, all this stuff.
26:50That has been a policy, a government policy, not guessing at what's in someone's heart
26:57or whether someone is doing enough to be anti -racist.
27:00That was structural, systemic racism.
27:04It is race. It is racial spoils.
27:09Yeah. And now we're supposed to be dismantling this.
27:12Instead, people still want to run around and say that white supremacy is the.
27:15Because probably the Democrats are trying to make America as as non -white and hateful
27:20of our white past as possible as part of the party plan.
27:25Yeah. And look, I think that's important.
27:27And I would just sum it up in this way.
27:29If you have been born since 1980 in this country, right, which would now mean
27:34you are coming up on 46 years old this year, right?
27:37I'm 47. I was born in 79.
27:39I think a lot of us from like 1975 and on would also be classified
27:44in this group. The only racism you've seen is actually anti -white and anti -Asian
27:50racism that is systemic from a government perspective.
27:55And so far from being a victim.
27:57Now, look, if you were born in the 1930s, if you were born in the
28:001940s, if you were born in the 1950s and you are black, you have certainly
28:04lived through racism. I'm not arguing against that.
28:07But the counter to that is there was a clear, calculated decision in the wake
28:12of the civil rights era to put in place affirmative action policies, which were designed
28:17to deal with decades of discrimination and rapidly evolved into flagrantly racist policies, their own
28:26selves. And they're all illegal now.
28:28And Democrats now have decided that that is the foundation of their policy through identity
28:34politics. And there is such a desperate desire for racism that Democrats are raising now
28:40through the Southern Poverty Law Center.
28:41Think about that, Buck. Three million dollars.
28:44What percentage of the money that the KKK, for instance, I mean, does the KKK
28:50have three million dollars in assets in the United States?
28:53It would surprise me. So when people say, well, it's three million dollars, they're just
28:57paying for informants. Three million dollars is actually a huge amount of money relative to
29:02the money that is put into white supremacist organizations.
29:05Right. And so I think they caught them dead to rights.
29:10The Southern Poverty Law Center is, I believe, Buck, like media matters.
29:15They are not legitimate organizations.
29:18And I think it actually ties in with what we were talking about with what
29:22happened in Virginia, which is a lot of you out there still have the belief
29:28that it's the 1980s and the 1990s.
29:31And if you are just honest and principled, the media is going to give you
29:36credit for being honest and principled.
29:39There's a lot of people out there still think, hey, you know what?
29:41I can convince CNN to be honest when they cover me.
29:45I can convince MSNBC and The New York Times and The Washington Post.
29:49They're going to be honest when they cover me.
29:51They're honest brokers. They're calling balls and strikes.
29:54They're not trying to take a side.
29:56You're living in a fake world and Democrats realize it and take advantage of it
30:02and are nakedly partisan to Buck's point, all while they claim that they're standing up
30:07for democracy. I mean, it's pretty, pretty amazing when you think about it to disenfranchise
30:13all of these people in Virginia and do it while you are sanctimoniously lecturing all
30:19of us that it is necessary to not have a six to five advantage in
30:24the House seats in Virginia, a five point difference, 51 to 46 basically country, 51
30:32to 49 on this specific amendment, and to sanctimoniously lecture while you do it that
30:37this is for democracy. I give credit to Will Chamberlain, who's a friend, a writer
30:44and does a legal analysis.
30:46He said that we should revert back to when Alexandria was actually part of the
30:55District of Columbia, and it was Alexandria that then got split into Alexandria County slash
31:02city and Arlington County. But, you know, Clay, originally that was all part of the
31:06District, which is why the District has kind of a strange shape to this day,
31:09from like 1801 to just before the Civil War or 1850 -ish, something like that,
31:16the Northern Virginia Lib stronghold, which is really, it is culturally and in every way
31:23an extension of, you know, you go to Roslyn, you go across the river, you're
31:30like, this is D .C.
31:31still, right? It's very much an extension of the city of Washington, D .C., but
31:36that is the population center of gravity that they use to create.
31:41So it's basically Washington, D .C., the city and its environs gets to tell people
31:45who live in southwest Virginia what they can do in their state.
31:51That is where we are now.
31:53And I would also remind everybody that Abigail Spanberger ran as a moderate mom.
32:00I'm just a moderate mom.
32:03She's a communist front. Look at what's happening in her state.
32:07Take the guns away, the radical redistricting, let the criminals out, help the illegals.
32:12Because every Democrat is the same, and they all play the same game when they're
32:16in a tight election, which is pretend not to be a Democrat just until you
32:21can fool. They're just playing fool the idiots.
32:25It is interesting. Independent swing voters who go for them.
32:28Sorry, it's true. No, no, no.
32:29It is interesting to compare because the criticism is with Trump.
32:32By and large, Trump ran the most transactional presidential campaign I can ever imagine.
32:36He just said, these are the things I'm going to do, and he's gone down
32:40and checked them all off one by one.
32:43There's no hiding of the ball, really, when it comes to what Trump believes.
32:46He's been as outspoken about exactly what he believes as possible.
32:49I will say, man, 51 to 49, if there had been any kind of even
32:56spending of dollars here, this wouldn't have passed.
33:00Like, I know everybody is celebrating on the Democrat side, but the fact that they
33:04only won 51 to 49 on this, despite spending tens of millions of dollars, is
33:11actually indicative that you're already starting to see a little bit of a rebellion among
33:15Virginia voters who have recognized that they've been sold a bill of goods.
33:19And again, ultimately here, I think Florida has to respond, and I think they will,
33:24and cancel this out. Unlike Indiana, we're going to talk with Indiana Senator Jim Banks
33:29about this in the second hour, because you and I have teed off on the
33:32Indiana Republicans who basically look like wimps over the way they handled this.
33:37Yeah, they love to be gentlemanly while they're getting slapped around in front of their
33:45constituents in the Republican Party.
33:48It's not a good thing.

34:55Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show.
34:57Buck, you're headed up to New York.
34:58You've got a book event tomorrow, and you're going to start the process of getting
35:02up there here soon. We've got a bunch of calls.
35:06Joyce in Bozeman, Montana. Joyce, what you got for us?
35:11Hey, I just wanted to talk to you guys about how it feels like the
35:16Republicans are just giving up, whether it's the voters or, you know, no offense, Clay,
35:23but yourself saying, oh, we're going to lose the midterms, we're probably going to lose
35:2828. I'm so overhearing it.
35:31I mean, I'm actually super negative.
35:36I actually think I was calling out the Republicans for being too much of wusses,
35:41which is like, hey, you need to fight harder.
35:44Okay, okay. But you did happen to say that we're, chances are we're going to
35:49lose the midterms. I remember hearing that, correct?
35:52That is favored right now for the House to be lost.
35:59And I think that is, I mean, look, I'm just trying to be honest with
36:02you. If you were asking me right now, I think the Senate's going to be
36:06close, but I think we keep it.
36:08And I think we lose the House.
36:10Can I also point something out here?
36:12This is not our first rodeo.
36:13We've both been doing this about 15 years now.
36:16If we're optimistic about the midterms, we will get calls from people saying we're suppressing
36:21voter turnout because we're not fired up enough for the fight.
36:26And if we tell people we're worried, we'll get calls from people who say you're
36:30suppressing turnout because you're making it feel hopeless.
36:35So tell me what you want, everybody.
36:37Go vote is what we always say on the program.
36:40There we go. Nothing that we say should distract or detract from your willingness to
36:45go vote, which is ultimately the only voice all of us have.
36:48Buck, we'll see you tomorrow from New York City.
36:53In the meantime, we've got Dana Perino joining us shortly, as well as Indiana Senator
36:59Jim Banks. That's all in the next hour.
37:02See you tomorrow, Buck. Thanks for hanging with us.
37:05This is an iHeart Podcast.
37:07Guaranteed human.
