2:00Donald Trump has lost all control as the war in Iran spirals out of control.
2:06Now, Iran is potentially going to strike in the United States, according to the FBI,
2:12in retaliation against the Trump regime's invasion.
2:16The FBI is now warning police departments in California, where I'm reporting from, that Iran
2:23could launch a retaliatory attack at the U .S.
2:26West Coast using drones. This, according to the latest report by ABC.
2:31The alert said that the FBI recently acquired information of a potential surprise attack, likely
2:39here in California. Iran aspired to do this using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified
2:46vessel off the coast of California.
2:49Targets are unspecified, but they are expected to be in California.
2:53A spokeswoman for the FBI office in Los Angeles declined to comment.
2:57This, as oil prices are now up over 6 % today.
3:02So Donald Trump is in Cincinnati right now, and he was asked about the war,
3:09the fact that it's spiraling out of control, the fact that oil prices are surging,
3:14the fact that we're learning more about the men and women and the people of
3:19our service, armed services who are put in arms way, the service members who have
3:24been seriously wounded and injured.
3:25Here's what Donald Trump responded.
3:27to Peter Ducey of State Regime Media, which calls itself Fox.
3:31When he asked Donald Trump, you said it's an excursion, but you're saying it's in
3:36a war. So is it an excursion or a war, Donald?
3:39Watch what he had to say here.
3:40Play this clip. When you're expensing, everyone loves it.
3:45And we did a little excursion.
3:47We had to take this little couple of weeks, few weeks of excursion, but it's
3:52been incredible. Our military is unbelievable, the job they're doing.
3:57I would say, to put it mildly, way ahead of schedule.
4:00We've knocked out their Navy, their military in all forms.
4:05We've knocked out just about everything there is, including their leadership.
4:10Twice. We knocked out twice their leadership.
4:13And now they have a new group coming up.
4:15Let's see what happens to them.
4:17Now, in addition, Iran is saying that they are switching from reciprocal hits to continuous
4:24strikes, and they're warning that they will drive oil prices up to $200 per barrel.
4:31According to Reuters, details include the following.
4:35Iran says that the U .S.
4:37will not be able to control oil prices.
4:39They said, we won't allow even one liter of oil to reach the U .S.,
4:43Israel, and its partners. Now, Iran is actually exporting more oil than ever itself right
4:49now, while preventing all the other countries from doing so without getting permission.
4:55Any vessel or tanker bound to them will be a legitimate target, Iran says.
5:00And they appear to be shifting their military strategy as oil prices have temporarily declined.
5:08Although, as I mentioned, they're back up again based on everything that we are seeing
5:12today. You should also note that there were three major incidences in the Strait of
5:19Hormuz where cargo ships that did not get Iran permission were struck by the Iran
5:26Navy. These three shipping boats were seriously damaged by Iran.
5:33Also, in Oman, their main oil depot there was hit as well by an Iranian
5:41drone. I'll show you that in a moment.
5:44Very serious things that are happening right now.
5:46But Donald Trump went on social media this morning to post the following.
5:50The Supreme Court really messed this up badly.
5:53I guess he's sharing text messages between himself and Senator Mike Lee.
5:58Donald Trump posting Trump right to revisit the 2020 elections.
6:03Donald Trump also posting photographs of Harvard's History Department chair.
6:09And Donald Trump saying that this individual should not be hired.
6:12She is a a misfit.
6:14So while all these very serious things are going on, this is what Donald Trump
6:17is posting. Contrasted to what the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy chief is saying, were
6:25ships assured they could pass through the Strait of Hormuz?
6:28Ask the crews of the ships, the Maori Nari, the Express Rome and the others
6:32today that trusted empty promises, ignored warnings and intended to pass through the Strait.
6:38They were caught. So moments ago, when Donald Trump was flying out to Cincinnati, he
6:44held a press conference where he told CEOs, keep doing it, try to get through
6:48the Strait of Hormuz. And then Iran has been able to strike those ships.
6:52But here's what Donald Trump said.
6:53Here play this clip. In my opinion, look, we took out just about all of
7:10their mine ships in one night.
7:13We're up to vote number 60.
7:15I didn't realize that that big a navy.
7:17I would say it was big and ineffective.
7:20But every one of their ships, just about all of their navy is gone.
7:24It's bottom of the sea.
7:25I hope you're impressed. Have they laid any mines in the straight up We don't
7:30think so. And Donald Trump in this presser also says that America should stop doing
7:38trading with Spain. We're going to we're going to stop doing any trade with Spain.
7:42OK, here, play this clip.
7:45No, they're not. I think they're not cooperating at all.
7:48Spain. I think they've been very bad.
7:51Very bad. Not good at all.
7:53We may cut off trade with Spain.
7:59I don't know what Spain's doing.
8:01They've been very bad to NATO.
8:02They get protected. They don't want to pay their fair share.
8:05And they've been that way for many years.
8:08Donald Trump is asked about the new report from our military, which shows that, yes,
8:13indeed, as we've been reporting, the United States struck the elementary school in Iran and
8:17killed 150 little girls and more people.
8:20So what do you say about your own military report, Donald?
8:23He's like, I don't know anything about that.
8:25Here, play this clip. The report shows a new report says that the military investigation
8:29has found that the United States struck the school in Iran.
8:33As commander in chief, you take responsibility for that.
8:36That is what? As commander in chief, you use for what?
8:39For the strike on the school in Iran.
8:41A new report says the military investigation has found it was the United States that
8:46struck the school. I don't know.
8:50And then a reporter asked Donald, can you declare victory even if the new Ayatollah
8:56Monjabi remains in place? And Trump's like, I can't answer any questions like that.
9:10I don't want to comment on that.
9:14But I will tell you, I just spoke with various countries, the leaders of various
9:18countries. You'll have a list.
9:20And they said they've never seen anything like it.
9:23We have. And I built it during my first term and I used it.
9:28I didn't realize I was going to use it this much.
9:30But we have the greatest military in the world by far.
9:33Nobody's lost. While that's all going on, the U .S.
9:37Navy is actually refusing the near daily requests, the requests from oil and shipping industries
9:43for military escorts through the Strait of Hermose since the start of Operation Epic Fury
9:47to Trump saying, do it.
9:49We're protecting you. But in reality, there is no protection.
9:52Let me show you right here.
9:53You can see for yourself this drone strike that hit the Oman -Salala port.
9:58That's the main oil depot, the main oil rig that exists in Oman.
10:04Several drones struck the fuel storage tanks at the port of Salal in southern Oman,
10:09according to Omani security sources.
10:11Just watch the video for yourself of what went down.
10:13Here's just more footage that shows the massive fire after Iranian drones struck Oman's largest
10:20oil depot. We'll take a look right here.
10:23What's going on in northern Israel right now?
10:25Hezbollah just fired 100 rockets at once in northern Israel.
10:29You can see the situation right here in northern Israel amid the Hezbollah missile attacks.
10:34Just look at what you're seeing right now, the massive barrage right now.
10:38There's also some expectations that Hezbollah, the Houthis, in Yemen, are also going to get
10:45more involved and try to shut down any transport of oil in the Red Sea,
10:50right? So you have the Persian Gulf area, the Strait of Hormuz, that's basically shut
10:55down. What about the Red Sea area?
10:57I think the Houthis are going to try to shut that down as well.
11:00As Iran said, our goal, make sure oil's over $200 a barrel.
11:05Trump has asked, are you willing to withdraw the US from Iran, even if we
11:09don't stop the enrichment of the uranium, which you promised occurred last time?
11:14Here's what Donald Trump said.
11:16Let's play this clip. Mr.
11:18President, are you willing to withdraw the US from Iran, even if they have not
11:25turned over and allowed the US to seize their remaining...
11:29I'm not going to answer that.
11:31I'm not going to answer that, but we have hit them harder than virtually any
11:37country in history has been hit, and we're not finished yet.
11:43Now, here's what the president of Iran put out moments ago, put out a message
11:47that he's talking to the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, reaffirming Iran's commitment to peace
11:52in the region. That's what he's, that's the statement.
11:54But the part for you to realize is that he's speaking with Russia and Pakistan,
11:58and they're allied with Russia, even though Donald Trump is trying to suck up to
12:02Putin. The only way to end this war ignited by the Zionist regime in the
12:07US, the president of Iran, Pazeshkian, says, is recognizing Iran's legitimate rights, payment of reparations,
12:14and firm international guarantees against future aggressions.
12:17In other words, this war is not ending anytime soon.
12:21Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel in the US has reached $4 .81 per
12:26gallon, its highest level since December 15, 2022.
12:30Earlier in the day, I spoke with Democratic Congress member Raja Krishnamoorthy about everything that's
12:36going on. Let's bring in that interview with Congress member Krishnamoorthy.
12:38I want to bring in Democratic Congress member Raja Krishnamoorthy right now.
12:42It seems yet again that not only has Trump lied about what's going on in
12:47Iran, what's going on internationally, but with all things Trump, it seems far worse than
12:54even what many people expected.
12:56Worst case scenarios are. We're learning about Iran now putting these mines throughout the Strait
13:03of Hermoz. We're learning about Reuters exclusive, that there could be as many as 150
13:10of our troops injured, wounded, maybe even more than that.
13:15These are normally things, congressmen, that in press conferences, even where we disagree with administrations,
13:23they would explain to us these things.
13:26And what we've just been seeing, whether it's Trump or Hegseth or Caroline Levitt, is
13:32this propaganda, and I said this on the show last night, it's not even, it's
13:36not even good propaganda. And all propaganda to me is not good, let me be
13:40clear. But it's like, it's so obviously like comic book level junk stuff that it's
13:46like, it's gross, I guess is what I'm trying to say, Congressman.
13:49What do you make of it all?
13:50I think that's a good characterization.
13:51I think that we're, we're kind of in this kind of situation where obviously this
13:58was an illegal and constitutional war.
14:00And the reason why Trump did not come to Congress and the people as he
14:04should have is because he didn't have answers to basic questions.
14:08And he couldn't make a case for why it was time to strike Iran.
14:14There's no clear objective. One day it's regime change.
14:18Well, turns out the regime is actually getting worse.
14:21Another day it's about you know, obliterating the nuclear weapons program, which we supposedly obliterated
14:27last summer, and which is, to my knowledge, without giving away classified details, is very
14:33much in existence even today.
14:35And I wouldn't be surprised if they were accelerating.
14:38And we don't have a timeline.
14:40We don't have an exit strategy.
14:41All we know are the costs, and they're trying to mask the costs, as you
14:45said. They're not allowing us full transparency into the number of injured.
14:49We know seven have been killed.
14:51We do know one thing.
14:53We know the economic costs.
14:55And here in the Chicago area, we're seeing gas prices go up by 50 to
15:0290 cents per gallon in one week.
15:06And there's no end in sight right now.
15:09And, you know, Trump keeps saying this is going to end very soon.
15:12Well, guess what, Mr. President?
15:14The Iranians have a say in that as well, unfortunately.
15:16And I'm not sure what their intentions are, but they're wreaking havoc throughout the Middle
15:22East today. And one of the things that we've seen as well is I looked
15:28at the UAE interceptor efficacy and the amount of Iranian drones that are getting through
15:35now, specifically today as we're recording this, is like 20%, 25 % significantly higher.
15:44You look at the chart, and today is very different from these other days.
15:48And so it seems also that it's exposed this war.
15:53There are massive defects in the way the entire American military has been built.
15:58And frankly, rather than observing what's been happening in Ukraine, especially when Zelensky said, let
16:03me help you, Trump, get some of the, we have the technology.
16:07Here's how you deal with the drones.
16:08And Trump was like, no, no, no, no, no.
16:10We have all these weapons that cost billions of dollars, and we're using billions of
16:16dollars to strike at $20 ,000 drones, and we are depleting these resources, and it's
16:23being exposed, this asymmetrical warfare.
16:26And if we just looked what was happening over there, we should have known.
16:31And then you may say, I'm sorry, I'm rambling, but if you may say, well,
16:34then, okay, well, then, isn't that past administration's fault?
16:37You could go, yeah, it's systemic.
16:39It could be an issue.
16:40However, Trump randomly went to war all of a sudden without the preparation.
16:46So at least the other ones didn't do this.
16:49Let me toss it to you.
16:50That's right. I mean, if you know that you're not prepared, then it's probably a
16:55good thing not to undertake the military strike and go to war.
16:59And that's what's happened here.
17:01We were not prepared. We were not prepared for the numerous strikes that Iran has
17:06made on our friends, partners, and allies in the Middle East, including on our U
17:12.S. bases, including on airports.
17:14Remember, we have thousands of tourists.
17:16Americans were stranded in airports and hotels throughout the Middle East.
17:20They can't get back home.
17:21And guess what? They've become targets.
17:23And we weren't ready to defend them or to evacuate them.
17:27We're not ready for these drones.
17:30These are one -way attack drones known as Shahid drones.
17:34Tens of thousands of them have been used in Ukraine.
17:37So we should have known what their capability was, their lethality, and how the Ukrainians
17:44defended against it. And yet we didn't seem to learn that lesson either.
17:48And now we're in a situation where they have thousands of these drones left.
17:53They have thousands of ballistic missiles left, including ones where they can put a one
17:57-ton warhead on those ballistic missiles, which they haven't done.
18:01yet and so it's basically adding up to uh to me an unmitigated disaster epic
18:08fury has become epic failure and at this point i think um you know trump
18:14i think we should adopt the war powers resolution again i think more republicans will
18:18consider joining and we just gotta we gotta end these hostilities you know i the
18:25part that shouldn't amaze me anymore it's just when i observe these trump press conferences
18:33or when i see his social media posts i see the behavior i mean yesterday
18:38he was posting trump prophecies and it's someone saying and the trumpet said let god
18:45rain down and make donald trump there's like some it's like some crazy stuff and
18:50i'm watching him at the press conference joking about striking defenseless ships that were leaving
18:57parades in india you know and saying you know we got him we got him
19:01you know we're gonna rain down death or you know and then he pivots to
19:07just saying you know making noises and and it's just it's it's strange i just
19:13i don't get how anybody observes this behavior that we watch just the way he
19:19can't speak in sentences and just say yeah this is the guy who like it's
19:24obvious to me in my opinion that we've got a guy with dementia or something
19:28very serious going on doing this like obvious it's like red alert red alert and
19:32people like well you can't say that i'm like what else am i observing right
19:36now stop gaslighting me that that's exactly right and i think look we have an
19:41unserious man for a serious job we knew that we just didn't um necessarily anticipate
19:47so many military adventures for a guy who promised to his base that he would
19:53not enter into any more endless wars or military excursions now we've seen i think
19:59eight countries maybe i've gotten the number wrong eight countries where he has either entered
20:05into war or has bombed them or you know taken away their leader um and
20:12i think this is not what even i think the mega base wanted and you're
20:16seeing people like tucker carlson and of course marjorie taylor green and others make an
20:22uproar about this as they should and i think it's going to split his base
20:27and it's it's evident to me i have not yet met just an average person
20:32on the street who said hey don't deal with the pressing economic challenges that i'm
20:38facing such as i can't afford my groceries or my rent or i can't afford
20:43to buy a home or get child care health care or an education for my
20:46kids let's go bomb iran let's do that instead i have not yet met that
20:51person right and i think you've met the person who says well it's because they're
20:58covering up the epstein files and because things are so bad here that they want
21:03to change the conversation by doing the neocon thing on steroids i don't even think
21:09the neocons could dream of of of this this is like uh i don't want
21:14to go there but this is it's worse um than even the worst of the
21:18worst neocon as a way to distract from the domestic conversation that you're running for
21:23the united states senate seat that primary is actually coming up pretty soon uh in
21:27illinois uh but the domestic issues are what's top on people's minds so before we
21:32go talk to us about that because you're seeing people all across illinois and what
21:36they're going through right yeah i mean look i'm i'm regularly hearing from people about
21:41gas prices right now. I'm regularly hearing from people about utility costs rising, not being
21:48able to afford rent or buying a home.
21:52I'm hearing from people who talk about their health care going away because of these
21:56Medicaid cuts or the ACA tax credits not being extended by Trump.
22:00And so you're absolutely right.
22:03He's distracting attention from these issues because he knows that he's on very, very poor
22:09ground on those domestic issues.
22:12The problem for him is they get worse the more he distracts attention and doesn't
22:17really address them. They don't get better.
22:19And I think that my Republican colleagues are sensing that, are feeling that.
22:25And I'm not sure what they're going to do about it with their president, but
22:30certainly we Democrats have to stand up on principle against this war, against what's happening
22:37in numerous places around the world, thanks to this president.
22:41And we have to stand up for our working families here.
22:45Congressman, where can people learn about your Senate campaign?
