2:30Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are terrified that they may be losing Florida.
2:36And there are different and new data points that bear this out.
2:40In Larry Sabato's recent crystal brawl predictions, now that Alex Vindman has entered the Senate
2:47race there against MAGA Republican Ashley Moody, that Senate seat race is moving closer and
2:54closer to being a Democratic seat.
2:57I'll talk more about that in a moment.
2:59The polling on Friday for Donald Trump was absolutely atrocious nationwide.
3:03And it's been pretty bad in Florida too.
3:06And I'm not sure attacking bad bunny in the Hispanic community are raising Donald Trump's
3:11popularity in the Hispanic community there.
3:13But you take a look right here at the new AP North poll.
3:17Trump's overall approval right now, 36%.
3:22It's like the worst ever, like the worst in history.
3:25Economy, 34%. Country heading in the right direction, 29%.
3:30I guess some saving grace for Donald Trump is that he's more popular than J
3:34.D. Vance. J .D. Vance's approval at 32%.
3:37You've got headlines like this right now while Donald Trump's bragging about the economy is
3:42great, the Dow Jones is this and that.
3:45Middle -class Americans are selling their plasma to make ends meet.
3:50Last year, people in the U .S.
3:52made an estimated $4 .7 billion selling their plasma.
3:56I guess that's the new American dream.
3:59But what's Ashley Moody doing?
4:01She was the individual who was picked by DeSantis to hold that Senate seat after
4:07Marco Rubio became the worst Secretary of State in history.
4:10Well, she's got big plans this week.
4:13She's going to the World Liberty Financial Forum.
4:17You know, that's the group where Donald Trump gets all of that crypto from the
4:22Middle East and they invest in Donald Trump personally and they don't really get anything.
4:27They don't get a product.
4:29They get Donald Trump and they get the quick pro quo of the White House.
4:32They get our semiconductor chips and Donald Trump makes billions of dollars.
4:36And that's the company where Trump's kids are on it and Whitcoff's kids are on
4:40it while they go and destroy American foreign policy abroad.
4:44You look at Trump's overall approval when it comes to some of these red states,
4:48Florida, negative 7 .5%, according to The Economist.
4:52Others have him negative two, negative three.
4:54Some have him slightly, but overall his popularity in Florida is plummeting.
5:00And one of the things we're seeing as that Politico headline points out is veterans,
5:06people who have devoted their life to service, stepping up.
5:10I mean, you've got... Lieutenant Colonel Alex Vindman announcing his run for the United States
5:16Senate seat. He was going he was up for promotion to be a colonel.
5:19You all probably remember the story.
5:22He told the truth about what Donald he came forward courageously during the first Trump
5:27regime, told the truth about Donald Trump extorting Ukraine.
5:30Then Donald Trump got rid of him and then he then he had a fight
5:34for his job back. And now Alex is running for the Senate.
5:38You have people like Phil Err running.
5:40I'll just show you. This is pretty cool.

5:45And you just see these incredible veteran Democrats supporting each other in Florida.

5:51I'm a retired U .S.
5:52Navy commander. I want to tell you about my friend Alex Vindman, a retired lieutenant
5:56colonel in the United States Army.
5:58Alex is running for the Senate of the United States with a sense of integrity
6:01and duty to set conditions for all of us to thrive in freedom.
6:06It's so important to do that.
6:08Thinking of children, children are our future and Alex will be there for them.
6:14Should also note that, again, Alex Vindman, retired U .S.
6:17Army lieutenant colonel, was the director of European affairs for the United States, the United
6:23Security Council, served 21 years.
6:25He was wounded in Iraq, stood up when no one else would, as his brother

6:37Let's just play this. Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, a National Security Council official who testified
6:43against the president during the impeachment hearings, has been fired.
6:47Jim, the president, has been fuming about Vindman, apparently, ever since he testified.
6:52The last time you saw me was here, swearing an oath to tell the truth
6:57about a president who broke his.
6:59See, my family came to America as refugees to escape tyranny.
7:03And I, sure as hell, was not going to bow down to some wannabe tyrant.
7:07This president unleashed a reign of terror and retribution, not just against me and my
7:10family, but against all of us.
7:12Today, our country is in chaos, thug militias attacking citizens, tariffs pushing prices sky high,
7:19health care premiums through the roof.
7:21And Florida homeowners are being absolutely screwed because Ashley Moody caved to the big insurance
7:27companies. They put Moody in the Senate to be a yes vote for Trump and
7:31the billionaires. She's not Florida Senator, she's theirs.
7:35I'm Alex Vindman, and I'm running to be your voice in the Senate.
7:38I served 21 years in the Army, was rooted in Iraq, I served presidents of
7:43both parties, and I've seen corruption in Washington up close.
7:47Over a million dollars in Moody's corporate stock was traded last year, while she had
7:51access to insider information only Congress gets.
7:54That should be outlawed. They gutted disaster assistance for people trying to rebuild their lives.
8:00But she's okay with $40 billion bailouts for Argentina?
8:04Where's the bailout for Florida's families?
8:06I stepped up when my country needed a soldier.
8:09I stood up when someone had to say, no one is above the law.
8:14I'm asking you, stand with me now to put a check on Donald Trump and
8:18the corrupt politicians who think your tax dollars are their personal piggy bank.
8:23The billionaires in the special interest will throw everything they've got to try to stop
8:26us. But in the infantry, we didn't back down from a fight.

8:41It's no surprise that people are going to say, but isn't Florida a red state?
8:47Isn't this a safe, solid red state?
8:50I think if anybody has the ability to flip that Senate seat, it's you.
8:54And that's why I think so many people are encouraged that you are running.
8:59But talk to us about, you know, the plan to flip the seat.
9:02Hey, thanks for having me back on, Ben, in a different role this time.
9:07Look, I stepped in. I've been in Florida for more than three years.
9:12We came here as the first place.
9:15We got a chance to choose to live after the military, sending me across different
9:19parts of the world and just telling me where to go.
9:21We planted our roots here.
9:23My daughter's thriving. I moved my dad down about six months after us.
9:26So this is where we're this is home for us.
9:29And in the military, we have this expression.
9:32You go to some place and you leave it better than you found it.
9:35This state is headed in the wrong direction.
9:37We have a economy that's unaffordable.
9:41We have the highest insurance rates in the country.
9:43And my opponent, Ashley Moody, is a part of the reason that we are here,
9:48because she came to the big insurance companies.
9:50We have insecurity in our streets.
9:53Large swaths of our community feel unsafe to go out of their homes.
9:59That is a product of Trump's abuse of power, sending in what looked like militias,
10:05the kinds of folks that we saw patrolling the street.
10:08In the military, when I was in combat, we had well -trained troops that were
10:12respectful to the civilians, even in combat zones, in war zones.
10:17That's not what Trump is doing.
10:19He's sending out a militia with a signal that they could do whatever they want.
10:22They could be heavy handed.
10:24They're armed to the teeth.
10:25They look like a military to be able to abuse a population.
10:27This kind of chaos that we're seeing here and overseas, Trump embracing our enemies and
10:34casting aside our allies, the corruption, these gold -plated...
10:39toilets and planes from Qatar, all these types of, we've never seen this level of
10:46corruption before. And the costs being shifted from the billionaires, they're getting the tax breaks,
10:53we're losing healthcare, they're getting all sorts of benefits and the powerful that are in
10:59their pocket are getting the benefits and the burden's shifting to ordinary Americans.
11:02That is not something I'm going to sit back and watch unfold.
11:06And we have a clear path.
11:08Trump's margins across the country and in the state have shrunk because people are rejecting
11:13his policies. That's why you see him increasingly thinking about how he's going to steal
11:18an election because he doesn't have any good ideas.
11:20And now Florida has a fighter in their corner and that's how we're going to

11:34throws at us. You know, people probably are saying, you know, Senator Ashley who?
11:40Ashley Moody? You know, she was appointed by DeSantis.
11:44So this was a relatively recent appointment after Rubio became secretary of state or whatever
11:51his job is. And I think, you know, she does two things, you know, she,
11:56she stock trades, you know, and she really loves, she really loves that.
12:00She's like a day trader.
12:01Um, and then the other thing she does is, you know, whatever Trump orders her
12:05to do, she does. I mean, and that's why I showed, you know, I guess
12:09the confluence of those factors is her, you know, being like a keynote speaker at
12:13this world Liberty financial conference, you know, which is the Trump wit cough, you know,
12:18Hey, United Arab Emirates, we need half a billion dollars.
12:22Um, uh, just give it to us.
12:24Like you, you, you want our stable coin?
12:26We're not, I'm going to give you that.
12:27Just give us half a billion and we'll give you the United States semiconductor chips.
12:32Uh, and then we give them the most highly classified semiconductor chip, which no one
12:37would give them before because they're just going to give it to China and they
12:40probably already have given it to China.
12:41So it's interesting because you are primed to take, you know, to take her on,
12:48just given your background also, as you were calling all of this out, you know,
12:52when he was threatening to withhold the military equipment to Ukraine, which he's doing right
12:56now, obviously, you know, again, whether it's the Patriot missiles, you know, and she's the
13:00kind of person who joins Trump in doing those things.
13:05And you're the kind of person who says, no, we're not, we're not going to
13:08do that. We're going to focus on America.
13:10Yeah. The reason we're going to win the seat is because the contrast between me
13:14as a non -political somebody that's running for office for the first time, a career
13:19public servant, somebody that's reported corruption at the highest level, regardless of the costs.
13:23And my opponent, who is a career politician, an automatic yes vote for all of
13:28the chaos, all of the corruption, uh, in, in the Trump regime, uh, that couldn't
13:33be starker. And I think the fact is that Floridians know this.
13:37They know that they will, for the first time in a long time, have a
13:40fighter in their corner. We're seeing wins in the special elections here.
13:44Uh, we, we won consistently really since Trump took office and we're going to be
13:49able to overcome, you know, the, some of the historical baggage with regard to the
13:52state. And it's not just going to be this, my seat, we're going to win.
13:56We're going to win a whole slate of democratic seats down the line and make
14:00sure that we take the state in a different direction.
14:02And, and when we do this, we will have one control of the Senate and
14:07we will be, we will offer America and the world a different future.
14:11One that's vastly different than the first year, the second year of his term, one
14:15that in, in which he's, he's constrained from taking on his, his absurd agenda for
14:20chaos, self -enrichment and chaos.
14:23You know, it was interesting.
14:24I saw DeSantis recent posts that he's reflected that he was worried about some of
14:30these special election results. What we saw in Texas Senate district nine, um, where there
14:37was a massive flip, a 31 point swing to a democratic candidate there.
14:41You know, I also saw DeSantis, you know, saying that he disagrees with Donald Trump
14:45when it comes to putting data centers, you know, in, in, in Florida, you have
14:50Byron Donalds, who's running for governor of Florida talking about, you know, we, what, what
14:55do we, on the one hand, Donald Trump wants to put data centers everywhere.
14:59On the other hand, Byron Donalds wants to please Trump, but then go, maybe not
15:03in my backyard when it comes to, when it comes to Florida, you know, and
15:07so, you know, and, and even the alligator Alcatraz, which costs billions of dollars, you
15:12know, that's, that's not a, you know, it's from a human rights standpoint.
15:16I mean, I believe it's a crime against humanity.
15:18And I think people in Florida just don't, just don't want that happening in, they
15:22see it happening out there.
15:23They don't want it happening in Florida.
15:24So they don't want this stuff there.
15:26And then you add on top of it, the energy costs rising, the insurance costs
15:30rising, and just the, the day -to -day issues that are not being addressed in
15:34Florida. While you have this MAGA cheer, you have this Trump MAGA cheerleading without dealing
15:40with the day -to -day issues of Florida.
15:42Yeah. Yeah. It's interesting. I, yesterday I went out and I went to, uh, uh,
15:46what, what for most, uh, folks in Florida and certainly in Miami is a well
15:50-known spot. It's Freedom Tower.
15:52It's the, uh, portal for entry and processing for hundreds of thousands of Cubans that
15:57came to this country, very similar to my own story, coming as a refugee from
16:02the Soviet Union. And I, this is going to be, this building is going to
16:06be in the shadow. of where trump is planning to build his library it's not
16:10going to be a typical library like the presidents build when they're out of office
16:13this thing is going to be a hotel and a revenue generator form and it's
16:17going to tower over this iconic building that it's the ellis island of miami um
16:22that's supposed to be sending the message that everybody could come to this idea of
16:27this country and and you know have this idea of fairness and access to the
16:32american dream so uh that and then i visited a college campus the miami dade
16:37uh college campus there uh just a couple blocks away talking to students the things
16:42that were on their mind were all costs this was it was the fact that
16:44the tax burden is being shifted off the ultra wealthy and we're getting our services
16:50cut and with regards to health care folks were talking about affordability for housing they're
16:55concerned about the fact that you know the highest insurance rates in this country don't
16:59just affect homeowners they affect the property owners that rent their properties that's that was
17:04on their mind health insurance you know you don't usually expect a 20 something to
17:08our late team to talk about health insurance but they recognize that you know one
17:12health crisis could could crush somebody's life and i talked to faculty there it was
17:18a beautiful thing to do you know what wasn't on their mind it wasn't self
17:21-enrichment schemes it wasn't you know private jets it wasn't crypto scams it wasn't embracing
17:27our adversaries and and casting aside our allies it wasn't any of the priorities that
17:32you see uh trump talk about here certainly ashley moody my opponent you know her
17:38her focus is on uh bringing in the save act or the save america act
17:42this newest version out of uh out of uh the senate which is when you
17:48don't have any ideas of that could win and and get you votes in election
17:52what do you do you try to steal it so what is she's trying to
17:54do she's trying to make sure that we reduce the number of folks voting that
17:58we make it harder for folks to vote by mail because now you can't just
18:01submit a ballot you have to submit a scanned document you know imagine your your
18:05um parents or grandparents kind of trying to figure out how to do that when
18:10they do their vote by mail it's women that have been married that have changed
18:14their names are going to have a heart they're going to have to prove provide
18:18additional documentation american citizens that may still be struggling with uh with english language uh
18:23will have a harder time with regards to uh voting that's what they're focused on
18:28making sure that you lose your access to uh your right to vote this fundamental
18:33right that every american citizen is granted and i think that their priorities are completely
18:39wrong and the floridians and americans know this and we will see decisive outcomes both
18:45in this state and across the country alex where can people learn more about the
