1:30Donald Trump's former Attorney General, Pam Bondi, was a no -show to her deposition today
1:36before the House Oversight Committee.
1:39Despite being lawfully subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee, she refused to show up.
1:46She unilaterally canceled her deposition as her cover -up and the Trump regime's cover -up
1:52of the Epstein files continues.
1:55Now, just because former Attorney General Pam Bondi is no longer the Attorney General and
2:01the acting Attorney General is Todd Blanche, that doesn't stop a lawfully issued subpoena in
2:07her name. But this is precisely what Pam Bondi and the Trump regime is claiming.
2:13And so she just thinks she's above the law and doesn't show up to depositions
2:17when she receives subpoenas. Hillary Clinton showed up.
2:21Bill Clinton showed up. They sat there.
2:23But Pam Bondi, who's at the heart of this cover -up, who arguably is one
2:29of the lead figures in this criminal cartel, she's refused to show up now.
2:35Democratic Congress member Robert Garcia, who serves as the ranking member of the House Oversight
2:41Committee, put out the following statement.
2:44Pam Bondi is evading a lawful congressional subpoena by failing to appear before the House
2:49Oversight Committee for a deposition about the Epstein files and the White House cover -up.
2:54This subpoena applies to her regardless of her title.
2:57She must appear before the committee.
2:59And if she continues to ignore the law, oversight Democrats will move forward with contempt
3:04proceedings immediately. We will fight until there is true accountability and justice.
3:11The House Oversight Dems, through their official account, put out the following statement as well.
3:16Pam Bondi is evading a lawful congressional subpoena by failing to appear before our committee.
3:22They again say they will be holding her in contempt.
3:25If she doesn't show up, Congresswoman Stansberry, Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, also says
3:31Pam Bondi was subpoenaed to appear before the Oversight Committee today.
3:35This was not a, quote, pretty please.
3:37This was a legally binding congressional subpoena.
3:41If she does not make arrangements to appear immediately, we will move to hold her
3:46in contempt. Now, what are Republicans saying on the House Oversight Committee?
3:50Well, of course, they are complicit in this disgusting cover -up.
3:54They have worked to help her cancel her deposition.
3:58This is supposed to be oversight.
4:00And I don't care what political party you're from.
4:04Oversight means oversight, not cover -up.
4:08But that's what this Trump regime is doing with James Comer.
4:12So here's what the Republicans are saying.
4:14Ranking Member Garcia is a hypocrite.
4:16The Clintons defied lawful subpoenas for seven months.
4:19And he said nothing. He even voted against holding them in contempt.
4:22Now, he's outraged over a rescheduling for a former AG.
4:27Garcia's outrage is purely performative.
4:29Excuse me. The Clintons showed up for their deposition.
4:33And the last time I checked, they'd been out of public service for at least
4:37Hillary Clinton about 10 years.
4:39And Bill Clinton, maybe twice, three times as long as that.
4:44Versus the former Attorney General, who was just recently fired, who was intimately involved in
4:50the Epstein cover -up. I don't know.
4:51I see a little distinction there.
4:53And I don't care what political party you're from.
4:55You should see a distinction there as well.
4:57So the Acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche, went on state regime media, which calls itself
5:02Fox. And here's what he had to say about this cover -up and Bondi not
5:06showing up. Play this clip.
5:07I know that you have the authority to go ahead and release more, do you
5:10not? And you... And you...
5:11Do you have the authority to go to Congress, perhaps?
5:14No, we have released everything.
5:16So listen, we reviewed six million pieces of paper.
5:20What we released were anything associated with the Epstein file.
5:23So there we are not sitting on a single piece of paper.
5:26Nothing that should be released.
5:27If we find something else tomorrow, we'll release it.
5:30I don't anticipate we will.
5:31So the misguided assumption that there is more to be released is because we reviewed
5:37millions and millions of pages within the department, millions of which had nothing to do
5:41with Epstein. So it's not as if we looked at a document and said, you
5:44know, we're not going to release that.
5:46If we didn't release it, it's because it was not responsive to the law and
5:50therefore not part of the Epstein files.
5:52He also said this about Melania Trump.
5:55Let's play it. Well, last week, the first lady dropped a bomb at the White
5:59House. Here's Melania Trump at the White House talking about the Epstein files.
6:04The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein.
6:09Need to end today. I call on Congress to provide the women who have been
6:15victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors.
6:22There are questions that come off of this.
6:24Did you know she was going to make that statement?
6:26Did you have information prior?
6:28Will you act on her request before Congress?
6:31And when you remember what the president said, when you give all the files out
6:35there, the innocent people are going to be hurt.
6:37And we've seen that to some degree.
6:39How would you answer those three questions?
6:40So, no, the first lady does not check with me before she speaks to the
6:43American people. And I wouldn't expect her to.
6:45But what she said rings true to me.
6:47And what I mean by that is there have been tons of false narratives around
6:51her and her relationship, or lack thereof, with Epstein.
6:56And so I get her frustration and complaints, and I readily agree with it.
6:59As far as her call to Congress, it's exactly the same thing that we have
7:04been saying for the past year, which is the following.
7:06If there is a victim that has evidence against anybody, they should absolutely report it
7:12to the FBI, and we will take it seriously no matter what.
7:16And so her call to Congress to have witnesses come forward and testify is not
7:21inconsistent with what the Department of Justice and President Trump, frankly, has been saying for
7:26many years. And so I know that you have the...
7:29Now, folks, this is a concerted effort by MAGA and MAGA Republicans on the House
7:33Oversight Committee. For example, Byron Donalds said the following.
7:37He's on the Oversight Committee.
7:38He's running for governor of Florida as a MAGA Republican.
7:42Play this clip. I want to move to some domestic issues now.
7:45Major headline this week. The First Lady, Melania Trump, put Jeffrey Epstein back in the
7:50headlines when she made a surprise announcement denying ties to the convicted sex offender.
7:56You're a member of the House Oversight Committee, which was scheduled to hear from former
7:59Attorney General Pam Bondi this coming Tuesday about her handling of the Epstein files.
8:06The Justice Department says Bondi's ouster excuses her from having to appear.
8:11Do you think Pam Bondi should testify this week?
8:16Look, I don't actually at this point, I don't really think so.
8:19Now that she's a former Attorney General of the United States.
8:21Well, Hillary Clinton, hold on.
8:23Hillary Clinton was in an office and she testified.
8:25Well, let me be let me be very clear.
8:27We're going to be continuing with our investigations into this matter.
8:31The Oversight Committee has been steadfastly working on this, also with survivors who chose to
8:36come forward to bring more information.
8:38I think if a former AG Bondi comes in, that'll be a determination of the
8:42committee as a whole. Let me also say that the now former Attorney General, she
8:46did come into the committee in a session to have open conversation and dialogue with
8:51Republican and Democrat members. Republican members came.
8:55Hold on. Let me explain this.
8:56This is important. Republican members came to that committee hearing asking the attorney, the former
9:01Attorney General Bondi, important questions.
9:04The Democrats refused to ask her any questions because they wanted the cameras on, because
9:09they wanted to turn it into a political circus.
9:11And I was in that room and disgusted, quite frankly, because you had members on
9:16the Democrat side of the aisle who had ample ability to question former AG Bondi,
9:21and they refused because the cameras weren't on.
9:24Congressman Moramos. Let's not forget during his opening press conference as acting attorney general, here's
9:30what Todd Blanche had to say.
9:31Now former Attorney General Bondi was facing a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee.
9:36Do you expect that she will comply with that or will this administration, will the
9:39Justice Department invoke some sort of privilege to block her from testifying?
9:43So, look, as everybody knows, the Attorney General and I went to the House Oversight
9:49a few weeks ago. We answered every single question asked for a couple hours.
9:52What happens now that she's the former Attorney General and there's the subpoena out there
9:58is I think I'll leave to Chairman Comer and others to figure out.
10:03I don't have an answer to that.
10:04You won't be invoking a privilege or anything.
10:06Excuse me? You won't invoke any kind of privilege to block her.
10:09No, I definitely did not say that.
10:10I said I will leave it to Chairman Comer to work out with others.
10:12I just don't have an answer for you.
10:14But I'm not committing to anything.
10:16I'm just saying I don't know.
10:18Go ahead. More from Todd Blanche here as well.
10:21In the coming days. I think Lou Kim -Bondi lost her job, though, because she
10:24was not successful in that pursuit.
10:27You read the same exact communication from the President that I did.
10:31Pam Bondi is a trusted friend of President Trump's, will remain so.
10:35And no, nobody has any idea why the...
10:39Attorney General is no longer the Attorney General, and I'm the acting Attorney General, except
10:43for President Trump. And here's what Ro Khanna had to say about Pam Bondi.
10:48Let's play it. The top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee says he still wants
10:51to hear from Pam Bondi with her deposition scheduled for April 14th.
10:57Do you think Pam Bondi still needs to come and testify even though she is
11:01now a private citizen, Congressman?
11:03Yes. I mean, if we could chase Hillary Clinton, who hasn't been in office for
11:0720 years, certainly we can get Pam Bondi to explain why she covered up documents,
11:12why we haven't had prosecutions.
11:13But, Kristen, the most important thing is there need to be two tests for this
11:17next Attorney General. First, the Senate needs to fight to make sure that they commit
11:22to releasing all Epstein files with no redactions other than survivors.
11:27And second, they need to begin investigations and prosecutions.
11:30There are people like Les Wexner and Leon Black who have allegedly have such horrific
11:35abuse and there has not been any investigation.
11:37Let's also reflect on the fact that when Pam Bondi a few weeks back, about
11:41a month and a half ago or so, decided that she was going to show
11:45up before the House Oversight Committee voluntarily, not under oath, and just spew Trump talking
11:52points and Democrats objected to it because they said, you're under subpoena.
11:56Don't try to use this as a pretext to blow up your subpoena because we
12:00know you're terrified to testify under oath, Pam Bondi.
12:04And she's like, I will follow the law.
12:06I will follow the law.
12:07Here, play this clip. Sure.
12:09Earlier this month, a bipartisan group of lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee voted to
12:14subpoena you to appear for a closed door deposition.
12:17Do you plan, do you, will you commit to, will you commit to complying with
12:21that subpoena and appearing for a closed door deposition?
12:24I made it crystal clear.
12:25I will follow the law.
12:26Now a reminder, what the Trump regime is claiming is that there are all of
12:30these privileges that they believe exists, which prevents Pam Bondi from having to testify like
12:36attorney -client privilege, work product privilege, other invocations of kind of classified information, something called
12:43a deliberative process privilege, where they're refusing to turn over tons of emails.
12:48So when Todd Blanch is like, we're not turning over what the law says we
12:53shouldn't turn over, they've interpreted the law to mean lots of internal communications, literally tens
12:59of millions of documents they are withholding.
13:01And I believe it's some of the worst documents regarding Donald Trump and his regime.
13:06Now, let me show you as well, just a reminder, what Pam Bondi was saying
13:09at her congressional hearing, which I'm sure everybody remembers.
13:12Let's play this clip. The Dow is over $50 ,000.
13:16I don't know why you're laughing.
13:18You're a great stock trader, as I hear Raskin.
13:20The Dow is over $50 ,000 right now.
13:24The S &P at almost $7 ,000.
13:28And the NASDAQ smashing records.
13:31Americans' 401ks and retirement savings are booming.
13:36That's what we should be talking about.
13:38We should be talking about making Americans safe.
13:42We should be talking about what does a Dow have to do with anything.
13:45That's what they just asked.
13:47Are you kidding? Mr. Jordan, Mr.
13:50Jordan, committee will be in order.
13:52Mr. Jordan, am I going to get an extra 45 seconds added to my time?
13:57The committee will be in order.
13:58The time belongs to the gentleman from Texas.
14:01Ms. Bondi, the attorney general can respond.
14:03Thank you. The Dow has shattered $50 ,000 for the first time.
14:10This is crazy. They said it couldn't be done in four years, yet President Trump
14:15has done it in one year.
14:18We caught up with Democratic Congresswoman Ansari the other day, and here's what she said.
14:22Congresswoman, are you concerned that Trump being compromised for the Epstein finals is putting our
14:27troops in danger abroad, given that's what our adversaries are using to we put the
14:32narrative on the war? I do.
14:35I believe that Donald Trump and his administration, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, have been
14:41covering up the Epstein files for over a year now, actually.
14:49There is a subpoena by the Oversight Committee.
14:52There's the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and over and over and over and over again,
14:57we have seen Donald Trump either refuse to release the files, illegally redact names from
15:04the files. There are now very serious allegations against him individually from a woman who
15:12said that she was sexually abused by him when she was a minor.
15:17This is incredibly serious, and I think Donald Trump will do whatever it takes to
15:22distract from this. What do you expect from today?
15:24And finally, here's what Donald Trump said before Pam Bondi was fired about how terrific
15:29she was, and watch this kind of mafia -style warning that he gave her play
15:33this clip. I'm not going to let anything bad happen to this country.
15:36Also with us, our Attorney General Pam Bondi, who's a terrific person and fan.
15:46And she's proving how tough she is, and I think the next three years she's
15:51going to really prove it, right?
15:52Huh? Like these people. Well, there you have it, folks.
