0:50We have a lot of breaking news to report on this episode of the Midas

0:53Touch podcast. A lot is going on involving Donald Trump's unlawful war in Iran.

0:59We learned earlier today that a U .S.

1:02KC -135, those are those strato tankers, those big fuel aircrafts, the refueling crafts.

1:10One of them went down.

1:12We believe it went down over Western Iraq.

1:16There was involved in an incident involving another KC -135.

1:21The information is fuzzy. We know that on these KC -135s, there are six crew

1:27members. And those six crew members are unaccounted for.

1:31This is not a plane that you can really eject from or there are parachutes.

1:35So we just we don't know the status.

1:37CENTCOM is not giving us a lot of information.

1:40Sadly, the Trump regime lies about everything.

1:43They're saying that this incident over Western Iraq does not have anything to do with

1:48hostile fire or friendly fire, but we'll be keeping you updated throughout the day.

1:54We also learned, I believe, from a CBS report about another medevac involving multiple other

2:01service members, I believe 19 or so, who are being transported to the hospital in

2:08Germany. And we're seeing the injuries mount.

2:11And I believe that, again, I don't trust the numbers coming from the Trump regime,

2:16but the amount of wounded continues to increase by significant amounts.

2:22Also, the amount of those ships in the Strait of Hormoz continue to be attacked

2:29by Iran. Iran said, if you don't get permission, we will strike you.

2:34Now, Iranian oil is moving easily through the Strait of Hormoz.

2:38So are Chinese cargo ships.

2:41They're going through, in fact, more than ever.

2:44They're big beneficiaries of this war, as is China.

2:48But we are seeing lots of other ships that have been struck in the Strait

2:53of Hormoz. Also, if you look off the coast of Iraq, there was a ship

2:58-to -ship transfer involving a Malta flagship, I believe, belonging to Greece, and a Marshall

3:05Island flagship belonging to the United States that was struck as well by Iran, fully

3:13engulfed in flames there. We reported on that throughout the day.

3:18And then moments ago, we also learned about this Iranian drone attack on this French

3:24base in Erbil. And then moments ago, we saw sizes.

3:27six French soldiers at this joint Peshmerga French base.

3:33They were injured in this Iranian drone strike right there.

3:37And that base was also being used by the US, I believe, in joint operations,

3:42which was one of the reasons that that became a target.

3:46Meanwhile, NBC is citing multiple sources close to Donald Trump saying that he is ranting

3:53and raving like a lunatic right now.

3:55And he's fearing that the markets could turn against him and that high gasoline prices

4:00pose a political danger to him.

4:03Oh, well, I hate to use a reference to what's going on in the Strait

4:07of Hermose, but that ship has sailed.

4:10OK, or if it's the Strait of Hermose, those ships are not sailing.

4:14But as it relates to Donald Trump, I mean, the markets are crashing today.

4:18The price of oil crude is absolutely surging today.

4:22You know, Donald Trump and his despicable regime pulled that stunt earlier this week on

4:27Monday where there was going to be that market crash.

4:30Remember, that was going to take place on Monday.

4:32And then Donald Trump said the war is about to wrap up and that we've

4:36got our Navy vessels who are going to help all the ships in the Strait

4:39of Hermose. Remember, that pumped the market up.

4:42And then the energy secretary fabricated a post about the Navy helping the ships in

4:49the Strait of Hermose. All lies.

4:51It pumped the market up, manipulated the market.

4:54And now the market is absolutely crashing again.

4:58It's been a disaster. I mean, if you think back to when Pam Bondi was

5:03talking about her cover up of a child sex trafficking ring for Donald Trump and

5:07saying the Dow is 50 ,000 today, it was in the 46 thousands.

5:12Also, the S &P and Nasdaq getting crushed as well.

5:15The price of crude surging as well.

5:18The price of the gas that you have to fill up at the tank surging,

5:22the price of diesel surging, disastrous situations all around.

5:27But folks, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, he's telling Sky News that what we're going to

5:32try to do is build an international coalition that's going to protect the ships in

5:38the Strait of Hermose. Oh, really?

5:39That's interesting. When you have absolutely zero allies, Donald Trump has turned the entire Arab

5:46nation alliance against the Trump regime.

5:50Arab nations are now working on security arrangements, powerful security arrangements with Iran.

5:58That's right. The Arab nations no longer trust the U .S.

6:02at all. Further, our Asian allies no longer support the U .S.

6:07and we're taking away our Thad and Patriot systems from South Korea, just snatching them

6:12back in order to move them to the Middle East as we are running out

6:16of munitions as our generals and admirals and everybody warned the Trump regime as the

6:22Middle East nations warned the regime.

6:24So the Middle East nations now working on trying to build security guarantees with Iran.

6:29Iran, China and Russia never been stronger.

6:33A global reordering taking place a la World War II, except out of World War

6:40II, the United States was the most powerful.

6:42Now the United States is coming out as the weakest, the biggest loser.

6:47Donald Trump's been a loser his entire damn life bankrupting this casino, that casino.

7:05But when you're under prepared, when you are demented, when you don't work with your

7:20making ridiculous posts. I mean, he's posting about Jerome Powell lowering interest rates.

7:27What the hell are you even talking about?

7:29This is Trump's post today with all of the things that I just discussed happening,

7:32right? This is what he posts.

7:34Where is the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Tulate Powell today?

7:39He should be dropping interest rates immediately, not waiting for the next meeting.

7:46Donald J. Trump, what do you mean not waiting for the next meeting?

7:49Okay. They're not dropping interest rates, you idiot.

7:52Inflation is about to surge.

7:54It already has been surging, but it's about to reach stratospheric levels as a result

8:00of this disastrous war. It was already rising.

8:04Also, Donald Trump threatened the life of the Iranian national soccer team.

8:08It's like everything he's trying to do is unite and bring together the Iranian nation

8:14closer to the Ayatollah. And as the BBC and others reported, right, there were lots

8:19of groups who could have been sympathetic to the United States.

8:22I mean, we saw the protesters that Donald Trump betrayed in January, but with everything

8:27he's been doing, I mean, blowing up the elementary school, killing 150 little girls or

8:33165 little girls, and then blaming it on Iranian tomahawks, whether it was attacking desalination

8:40plants, whether it was working to Israel to blow up oil rigs, creating these like

8:44nuclear winter -like circumstances in Iran.

8:47They've actually brought the Iranian people, even people who were against the Ayatollah.

8:52Closer to the Ayatollah now to support the Iranian nation against all of this right

8:57now. And look at what he does today.

8:59He goes, the Iran national soccer team is welcome to the World Cup, but I

9:03really don't believe it is appropriate that they be there for their own life and

9:08safety. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

9:10He's threatening the life of the Iranian men's soccer team.

9:13What, are you going to kill them if they show up?

9:15Then the Iranian men's soccer team says, no one has the right to tell us

9:18where we can or where we cannot play soccer or football if you're not in

9:21the U .S. There's that and more.

10:44We knew that this was misguided to say the least from the start, but I

10:49think this is somehow even more devastating and more of a disaster than anybody could

10:54even imagine. It's just in every single aspect right now, we're seeing American soldiers get

11:01killed overseas for what? For what?

11:04We just learned, like Ben said, about this refueling tanker that crashed.

11:08Apparently, there were two refueling tankers involved.

11:10One landed safely in Israel.

11:12One apparently crashed in Iraq.

11:15They're not saying as of now what happened.

11:18They say there are rescue missions underway.

11:20Like Ben said, I'm praying for the best.

11:24I'm hoping for the best, but that plane has no sort of ejection mechanism to

11:28my mind. I've also learned from speaking with experts that those planes, they don't carry

11:33parachutes because they're fuel tankers and they try to save fuel.

11:36They haven't had parachutes on those planes for a while.

11:38So I'm hoping for the best, but it appears like the numbers that have been

11:42reported on so far may increase in terms of deaths, sadly.

11:46And we've already learned that this government has lied to us repeatedly, the United States

11:51government, which especially in a time of war is especially appalling.

11:54They downplayed the amount of injuries of our service members.

11:58We had to find out from the media that at least 150 service members before

12:02today were actually injured. And we're talking like serious injuries as well, like traumatic brain

12:07injuries and very serious wounds.

12:10And the United States government has been lying about this and they have not been

12:14sharing the accurate data. Reporters had to dig and they had to find out that

12:19this was going on. And I guarantee that we hear a whole lot more about

12:22that. Ben mentioned the attack on the school, which is truly just one of the

12:28biggest stains on this country's history.

12:31How awful. It's hard for me to even grapple with the fact that our tax

12:36money was used to kill these 165 plus girls at a school who are just

12:42there innocently going about their days.

12:44Just absolutely grotesque and disgusting.

12:47And there's mass displacement happening right now as well throughout the Middle East that is

12:52going to cause a whole host of other issues.

12:55In Lebanon, more than 800 ,000 people have been displaced.

12:59There's been devastating Israeli strikes in Lebanon going on.

13:03We see the UN says that up to 3 .2 million people have been internally

13:08displaced inside Iran since the war started.

13:11There's mass chaos within Iran as bombings are happening and innocent people are being attacked.

13:17Innocent Iranians are dying. And you see, I said this in the last episode, but

13:21the Trump regime seems to make no distinction between the innocent Iranian people and the

13:27Iranian regime. And that is deeply, deeply, deeply disturbing to me.

13:32And then we're seeing things happen at home.

13:35We're seeing an increase in attacks.

13:37We saw earlier today at Old Dominion University, a shooting, and they are saying that

13:42the shooter was somebody who had ties to ISIS, who was convicted for his ties

13:47to ISIS and served 11 years in prison.

13:50That was that event. One person died in that attack, a couple others injured.

13:54Then we saw a synagogue in Michigan attacked by an individual with a truck who

13:59rammed into the synagogue with a truck full of explosives and then started shooting.

14:03Thankfully, in that case, to our knowledge at this moment in time, there were no

14:07injuries, no deaths other than the shooter.

14:10But then we learned that the shooter in that attack, apparently what we're learning as

14:16of now, and this is all preliminary information, that shooter had family members who were

14:21killed in one of the recent Israeli.

14:23attacks in lebanon and so we are just seeing right now these the effects of

14:29this war kind of hit home with this terrorism here in the united states ramping

14:35up in these horrific ways as we disrupt the entire world and it's increasing also

14:41this anti -semitism within the united states with which also breaks my heart as people

14:47uh conflate you know uh jewish people who are innocent and aren't doing anything with

14:53the actions of a state with the actions of a government like israel this is

14:57all honestly just so horrific to watch and we have truly just the dumbest most

15:03incompetent most reckless people who are running the ship right now and it is just

15:09it's all just so incredibly disturbing i know we got a lot to break down

15:13jordy what's the latest on your end what's up brothers what's up this body look

15:18we were told that this would be a quick win right we were told it

15:22was about strength and american exceptionalism maga but a week into the iran war the

15:27bill is coming due and american soldiers and our wallets are paying the price because

15:33of the lack of preparation because this trump regime brett to your point is full

15:37of these incompetent buffoons i think nine american service members are dead that we know

15:43of and roughly 150 are wounded and the kicker with that 150 number is that

15:48the pentagon didn't even want to admit how many were hurt until reporters leaked the

15:54truth this is not shrank that that's an active cover -up that we're witnessing for

15:59those who think that the war is far away check the gas pumps by turning

16:04a global shipping lane into a war zone donald trump just handed you the american

16:09people a massive new war tax oil prices are skyrocketing and that means the price

16:16of everything from from your groceries to your amazon packages they're going right up along

16:21with them we've traded potential i say potential their economic stability for a conflict that

16:27we didn't even need to start and because we've been acting like buffoons for so

16:31long under the trump regime and embarrassing ourselves time and time again on the global

16:37stage we're going at this totally alone like we have isolated ourselves leaving us without

16:42our allies and have invited cyber attacks on our power grids and an increased threat

16:47of domestic terror instead of making the world safer the trump regime has unified our

16:53enemies against us while leaving us the american people holding 100 of the bill this

17:00isn't policy this isn't leadership this is a disaster ben it's time for the trump

17:05regime to just stop gambling and start protecting americans right think about the post world

17:12war ii global reordering that put the united states of america as the leader of

17:20the quote free world right that's over donald trump ran that into the ground just

17:27as he did with all of his casinos and we just saw it take place

17:31with the fast forward on the remote control right now because trump spent the first

17:38year destroying things breaking things ruining all of our alliances whether it was the tariffs

17:44against the world or what doge did here at home and also invading american states

17:49and cities and towns with ice and border patrol mass gestapo right and this year

17:55has been about as donald trump was like and then now i get to use

17:58the military well after breaking everything and breaking our State Department and harming our alliances.

18:04Donald Trump went into this war unprepared.

18:07And despite having the most powerful military in the history of humankind, if it is

18:12utilized by someone who doesn't prepare and doesn't know what they're doing, rushes into things,

18:18doesn't rely on science and facts and the top generals.

18:23We also got rid of a lot of our top military people.

18:25Remember when Hegseth purged all of the military?

18:28And remember, you have someone like Hegseth who couldn't even run military nonprofits.

18:33He was pushed out because he was too incompetent to run that and engaged in

18:38a real dereliction and bad personal behavior there.

18:42This is a natural consequence.

18:44So Donald Trump did all these quid pro quo deals to benefit himself with all

18:49these Mideast nations. Remember, the first trip he took was basically to collect, in my

18:54opinion, what were bribes from the UAE and from the Saudis and from Qatar and

18:59all of these places. And they would give him this money for protection.

19:02It's kind of like a mafia style like protection racket, right?

19:06He would go to country to country.

19:07He would try to, you know, enrich himself.

19:10And from these countries standpoint, they thought they were getting the protection of the most

19:14powerful military that would help them and would help their people so they could modernize

19:20and they could build out Doha and they could build out Abu Dhabi and they

19:23could build out Dubai and they could modernize and think about a future where they

19:28weren't purely kind of oil dependent countries.

19:31And that was their big focus.

19:34Well, Donald Trump didn't even consult them.

19:36In fact, they warned Donald Trump about these exact consequences.

19:39And so now they've been engulfed in the Gulf in this war that Trump provoked.

19:45And now they're being targeted by Iran.

19:47And obviously, they're furious at Iran for targeting them, but they kind of get it.

19:52You know, they kind of understand it in a way.

19:54They're like, yeah, Trump and Netanyahu did all of these things.

19:57And we were allied with the U .S.

19:59So naturally, if we're not being protected by the U .S., but we still have

20:04been helping the U .S., of course, they're going to attack us.

20:06What do you think is the consequence of this?

20:09And now the Trump regime is begging them to join alliances with the Trump regime

20:14and saying, we need your help now in the Strait of Hermoz.

20:17We need you to do this.

20:18What are you doing? Why aren't you helping us?

20:20And they're like, you know, the pay for play part?

20:24We're the pay part of the pay for play.

20:27You're supposed to be the play part.

20:29We pay. You play. If you ain't playing, we ain't staying.

20:34That's what they're saying. They're saying, see you later.

20:37And we're going to try to form an alliance with like Iran or China or

20:41Russia because you can't help us.

20:44This was all about you being tough.

20:46But you were the blowhard who in a food fight didn't even throw the grape.

20:50You coward. You just talked about how powerfully I'm so powerful.

20:54I'm so powerful. Powerful people don't need to go around talking about how damn powerful

20:58they are. That's a sign of weakness.

21:00And by the way, these Arab nations should have seen it.

21:03But I guess they thought based on all the things that America was able to

21:06build still, that Trump would be able to wield this machinery at least semi -effectively.

21:11But no, he's broken everything.

21:12And then you've got our Asian allies.

21:15I mean, think about if you're South Korea right now, we just snatched their THAAD

21:19missiles that we promised them.

21:20We just took them because we're running out of munitions in the Middle East because

21:23they've been targeted by Iran.

21:25And so what does North Korea do?

21:27Kim Jong -un starts trolling.

21:29He starts posting photos of himself, you know, showing new missile tests that he's doing

21:34as a way to give the middle finger to South Korea.

21:37What do you think South Korea thinks about us?

21:38What do you think Japan?

21:40thinks about us right now?

21:41What do you think Taiwan thinks about us right now?

21:43If this is how America is responding to Iran, you think America is going to

21:48be able to protect Taiwan from China?

21:51Well, the U .S. has already made clear that it ain't going to do that.

21:54We have not given Taiwan the military aid that was promised to them.

21:58We haven't given them the missile systems that we promised them.

22:01And we've left them very vulnerable.

22:03Look three days ago what the Chinese embassy to the U .S.

22:07posted. They posted, Taiwan is ours.

22:10We want to be very clear.

22:11They are ours. Taiwan is ours.

22:14And that's it. And what's Trump doing with all of this?

22:16Trump is going to run over to China to do a state visit with Xi

22:20Jinping while Xi Jinping's mocking Donald Trump for being too disorganized to even plan a

22:25state visit. That's what you have like Xinhua and all the Chinese media mocking Donald

22:30Trump for not being able to even coordinate a state visit.

22:34You've got China and Russia helping Iran right now destroy the U .S.

22:39world order. And they're doing an effective job at it, I might add.

22:43And Trump wants to go and meet Xi Jinping because Trump has this deranged vision

22:48of himself standing there with Xi Jinping while the Chinese soldiers march in lockstep.

22:54And Donald Trump can peacock and feel very tough next to Xi Jinping while they're

22:59all laughing at what a damn loser he is.

23:02And just as he said, oh, you know, everybody's laughing at us.

23:06Yeah, literally everybody's laughing at us right now, by the way.

23:09I'll talk about Russia in a moment, but you want to see how they're laughing

23:12at us? I'll just watch this cartoon that the Iranian embassy in The Hague put

23:19out mocking Donald Trump's connections to Epstein.

23:23And I mean, by the way, when you watch this cartoon, it is not too

23:27different from what Donald Trump actually said to the press.

23:31Like they actually kind of used Donald Trump's actual press interview.

23:35And you're like, yeah, this is propaganda.

23:37Sure. But they're actually using what Donald, the way Donald Trump is communicating with the

23:41press about killing the 165 little girls, little girls in Iran.

23:48And by the way, the Epstein class that did the Epstein war that spent decades

23:54being predators against little girls, the first thing they do in this war is kill

24:00little girls. Should tell you a lot.

24:02It's consistent with their MO, their predators, and their behaving as such.

24:07And now they've rallied everybody in Iran who could have been supportive, who may have

24:12been supportive against the US and in favor of the auto.

29:22Yeah. And now those polls show like 80 plus percent of MAGA people now are

29:26pro war. They now support this.

29:28And so it just shows you they, their whole kind of anti -war, all their

29:33whole shtick is not based in anything.

29:37It's not grounded in morals.

29:39It's not grounded in values or principles.

29:43It's simply whatever is right there at the time that could help them help Donald

29:48Trump. It's whatever Donald Trump says, they will regurgitate and they will use those topics

29:53as a cudgel to attack Donald Trump's opponents as saying, oh, you're a warmonger.

29:58You're this, you're that. Remember those headlines back in the day where it was like

30:02Hillary, the Hawk, Donald, the dove, like all these people buying in to Donald Trump's

30:07bullshit. When time and time again, he just shows us that he is the opposite

30:11of everything that he tries to portray himself as on the campaign trail to these

30:15people. But these people just don't care.

30:17Like I said, they are brainless zombies who just applaud at anything.

30:21And I'm sick of treating these people like kid gloves with kid gloves.

31:56I think the one thing that they're just shocked about is just how quick it's

32:01come about. I think they knew it was coming, but I think they're like, whoa,

32:05whoa, whoa, like, we just, what do we do now?

32:07Like, this is kind of sped up a little bit quicker than we thought it

32:10was going to happen. But that's the reordering of the world right now.

38:33Let's get into the news, folks.

38:36So the USS Gerald Ford, that big aircraft carrier, there are two massive aircraft carriers

38:42right now that surround Iran.

38:44One is the Abraham Lincoln and the other is the Gerald Ford.

38:48Well, the Gerald Ford had a pretty major fire on it earlier today.

38:53And apparently it originated in the laundry spaces.

38:57According to the Trump regime, it was quote, non -combat related and it got contained

39:04relatively soon thereafter. Two sailors were being medically treated in this fire.

39:09And I think what's important to note is that this Gerald Ford ship, this aircraft

39:15carrier, it's $13 .3 billion, one of the flagships of the American naval power in

39:21the Middle East. It's also not meant to be deployed for the amount of time

39:28that it's already been deployed already, nearly a year.

39:31So lots of the members of the Navy who are on this ship, they've missed

39:36weddings and births and funerals and key events.

39:41And so you may recall several weeks back before the war started, I was doing

39:45reports where I was talking about sources who were telling other kind of military families

39:51back. at home, how low the morale was.

39:55There's been problems with the plumbing, sewage leaks, like literally like the feces and the

40:02urine would kind of come out.

40:04They'd have to go in and fix it.

40:06There's a lot of maintenance that are required on ships like this.

40:09And Iran recognizes that in a war of attrition, this is a war that if

40:16they just continue to stretch it out and stretch it out, the wear and tear

40:20of the United States military relative to Iran's very kind of nimble and cheap weapons

40:27systems. They have expensive ones, but they also have the Shahi drones and the unmanned

40:32vessels. This asymmetrical warfare Trump didn't prepare for.

40:37And I think that's also a big learning lesson in the world.

40:40Why am I, I'm connecting that to the fire because, you know, you put a

40:44ship out there for a long time, things go wrong naturally.

40:48Now the Trump regime lies to us about everything.

40:50So who knows what the real cause was?

40:52I don't think we'll necessarily get the true story.

40:55I don't really know. I'll just flag that to be clear, but you just put

40:58ships out there. Things are going to break.

41:00Pipes are going to burst.

41:01Fires are going to start and people need to get home.

41:04They need to be with their families.

41:05You can't work people and grind people in these types of conditions.

41:10But the thing that this war is showing though, is, you know, America has these

41:14billion dollar systems that they sell to countries.

41:19And this is what these Arab nations bought and what the Asian nations thought that

41:23they were getting. These Patriot missiles, these THAAD systems, these really expensive military hardware, satellites,

41:32all this expensive stuff. These massive aircraft carriers, right?

41:37Billions of dollar systems with millions of dollar or tens of millions of dollar missiles

41:43while Iran's using $20 ,000 Shahid drones that can be very deadly.

41:50And so if you've watched some of these videos of these interceptors, right, you'll shoot

41:55six interceptors at one $20 ,000 Shahid drone.

42:00Think about that. And then Iran's developed these missiles that are these cluster munitions that

42:07are more difficult for the Patriots and the THAADs to strike.

42:11So that's another development that I don't think the U .S.

42:13has been prepared for. Now, we should have been prepared for it.

42:16We could have been prepared for it.

42:17We could have looked at what was happening in Ukraine.

42:19That's the perfect example of the way asymmetrical warfare is being fought, right?

42:25Russia came in with their heavy artillery, their tanks, right, fighting a traditional military battle.

42:31And Ukraine, yes, they were using the javelins.

42:35And yes, they've been using a lot of, you know, American -made systems.

42:38But over time, what Ukraine learned is that this is a drone -based war.

42:44And Ukraine can manufacture all of these drones.

42:47And then you have to build these anti -drone interceptors, which are basically drones.

42:53They're anti -drone drones, essentially, which are the interceptor anti -drones that then are used

42:59to stop the drones. There's also techniques that you use with this, like netting that's

43:05put over certain areas. Ukraine's figured out how you deal with it.

43:09Last August, Zelensky tried to help Donald Trump and say, this is what's going to

43:13happen if this war would have raged on when he invaded Iran the first time.

43:18Here's what could have happened.

43:20Fortunately, it didn't because the war ended in 12 days or so.

43:23But here's what could happen.

43:25We want to give you our technology.

43:26We need your help in Ukraine.

43:28Trump says no. And then Trump.

43:30tried to bleed Ukraine dry of its resources to help Putin take over Ukraine.

43:37We all saw that happen.

43:39So now Eric Trump has started as an investor, or he's been brought into this

43:45drone startup. They now want the Ukrainian technology.

43:49So Zelensky is trying to help, but Zelensky also wants protections as well and guarantees

43:55there, which is not clear that Trump is giving.

43:58So Zelensky is though still trying to help.

44:01And while all of this is taking place, what's Donald Trump doing?

44:05Well, he has Witkoff and Kushner meet with Yushikov and Dmitriev, the two top Russian

44:09people, and they meet in Miami where they talk about economic cooperation, Dmitriev and Yushikov

44:17and Kremlin state media. They put out, we're talking about big economic deals together, how

44:24US and Russia could be more collaborative and work together.

44:27And we talked about removing more sanctions from Russia.

44:31At the same time, Russia is helping Iran publicly.

44:35Putin's out there saying, here's what we're doing.

44:38We are helping Iran. We stand firmly with Iran.

44:42Putin's saying it publicly. And also we know from our intelligence, it's obvious that China

44:48is helping Iran. One of the signs that, you know, they're helping Iran is that

44:53the only ships that are leaving the Strait of Hormuz are Iranian and Chinese ships.

44:58Duh, what the hell do you think is going on there?

45:01We should be aware. And China is testing its military equipment.

45:07In my opinion, seems pretty obvious that that's what's happening, but I will, I will

45:12couch it as my opinion here by observing how this war is being fought.

45:17China is testing its potential invasion of Taiwan by providing this military equipment and resources

45:26and satellite imagery and coordinates to Iran and testing the US capabilities and the ability

45:33of US to guard Taiwan.

45:35And what China is learning, what Taiwan is learning, what Japan is learning, what South

45:42Korea is learning, what all these Gulf nations are learning is that the US, at

45:46least under Donald Trump and now for the foreseeable future, because Trump is so degraded

45:50in our military, is incapable of protecting allies.

45:54And the whole system was based on US being the unquestioned national power that nobody

46:03can touch. You know, we're $37 trillion in debt by the time this Trump regime's

46:08over. It'll probably be closer to 60 trillion.

46:11The first Trump administration put on 25 to 30 % of all of our national

46:17debt. So I think the number, I always said, I thought the number would be

46:20significantly higher this time around, and it's heading there.

46:24So you may ask, well, how does the system function with that much debt?

46:28Well, the US can just print money.

46:29And based on the full faith and credit of the United States and our Treasury

46:34Department, and the fact that we basically have limitless buyers or did of our bonds,

46:42right, we continued to have very successful Treasury bond sales, and other countries would put

46:48their money and pour their money into the US, the US dollar was unquestionably the,

46:54you know, currency of the world, the US is the place you'd park your money.

46:58And so we can continue on this, even though it was, you know, I think,

47:03destroying the future of generations, because we've got to pay a trillion dollars in interest

47:07on the on. notes alone, on our debt alone, you can continue the Ponzi scheme.

47:13But like any Ponzi scheme, Trump's past Ponzi scheme, Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, Enron, though

47:20not a Ponzi scheme, when they cook the books, at some point when you discover

47:24that the there there is not there and that there is no there there, the

47:29parallel paths of the financial mechanisms were tied to national strength.

47:36And when you degrade the national strength, you degrade the financial mechanisms.

47:40As I said, pay for play.

47:42The people who pay expect you to play.

47:45But if you know Donald Trump's entire life, he would defraud.

47:49So exactly what he did with his note holders and the contractors and everybody who

47:53worked for him. Now his protection racket was exposed as an utter fraud.

47:59And that now seeps into the financial markets and seep would be doing a lot

48:05of work there. Tsunamis into the financial market because these are interconnected principles.

48:11So I think that's important and not getting enough attention.

48:14Brett and Jordy. Yeah, no, I think that's all, you know, very important information.

48:18And, you know, I would add you brought up the Ponzi scheme analogy and the

48:23end result of any Ponzi scheme eventually is that the chickens come home to roost.

48:27Eventually, the scheme falls apart.

48:29You're backed into a corner.

48:30You're unable to actually continue and keep the Ponzi scheme going.

48:34And I fear not for Donald Trump's sake, but I fear for our sake that

48:39we are kind of in that moment right now.

48:41I mean, Trump is completely backed into a corner.

48:43I saw earlier today the foreign minister of Iran write this message, and I would

48:49love to brush this off as just, oh, this is just propaganda coming from the

48:53Iranian regime. They're lying. This is BS.

48:55But we know that everything he's saying here is actually just like is true.

48:59I'll bring up the statement from Syed Abbas Arachi.

49:02It says, factual knowledge matters.

49:04Case one, Iran's proposal to ensure no nuclear weapons was dismissed because U .S.

49:10counterparts didn't grasp the technical details.

49:13Case two, Americans won't make money from surging oil prices and tariffs.

49:19They enrich corporations and crush households.

49:22And in case two, he is quoting Donald Trump when Trump tried to frame increasing

49:26oil prices as a good thing and Americans were going to make money from higher

49:29oil prices. I mean, how stupid is that?

49:32And I want to go back to case one for a second where he says

49:34Iran's proposal to ensure no nuclear weapons was dismissed because U .S.

49:38counterparts did not grasp the technical details.

49:40Why do I want to go back to that?

49:42Because before, Ben mentioned what happened in Miami this week, which was that Jared Kushner

49:46and Steve Witkoff met with the Russians about all this stuff.

49:52And those same two individuals, Jared Kushner and Witkoff, were the same people who were

49:57meeting with the Iranians. In a lot of ways, they are to blame for this

50:00whole thing happening and all this falling apart.

50:03Remember that one day, right before the strikes, I think it was like hours before

50:07the strikes, there was the Omani mediator who went on TV in a very unusual

50:12fashion because I think he saw what was happening behind the scenes and he made

50:17clear that what was offered to, and this was an independent person who was put

50:21in as a mediator who was agreed to by the United States.

50:24So this isn't somebody who was like an Iranian person or whatever.

50:27And he said that the Iranian regime was willing to give Donald Trump basically all

50:33of their terms, that they were willing to get, you know, make sure that they

50:36weren't building any nuclear weapons and they were willing to go even much further than

50:40they went during the Obama nuclear deal that Donald Trump tore up.

50:44And that has led us to where we are today.

50:46But Now, here we are, whatever happened in those meetings, I don't know if Whitcoff

50:51and Kushner lied to Donald Trump about what happened in those meetings.

50:55I don't know if Whitcoff and Kushner did not understand what was being offered at

50:59those meetings, but whatever happened there, ultimately, the bombing obviously started and the war began,

51:05and now the entire world is in utter chaos over this.

51:08And to me, just as a layman in this whole thing, you wonder, how are

51:14you supposed to get this train back on the tracks, metaphorically speaking, if while you

51:19were trying to negotiate the deal is when you started the war, when you attacked

51:24the mediators, when you blew up the people you were trying to make the deals

51:28with, and you think people are going to be so excited to get in a

51:31room with you and try to hash this out again, when last time they did

51:35that, you killed them in the middle of it?

51:36I mean, you put yourself, and that's a war crime, by the way, so you've

51:40now put yourself in this situation where how do you even end this thing?

51:46And you cause so much damage to a nation that, referring to Iran here, that

51:51wants so much retribution and has such a religious history, too, with its leaders, that

51:57now you have stoked something in these people that didn't even exist before.

52:02So you basically, these Iranian protesters who were out there, these pro -democracy protesters, they

52:08were in the streets, and you said, go in the streets, we're the United States,

52:12we will have your back.

52:13All you ended up doing, Donald Trump, was you led those people to slaughter.

52:17They went in the streets, and you did not have their back.

52:21And then the second you decided to show up, months after the fact, the first

52:25thing you do is you bomb a children's school and kill more than 165 little

52:31girls. And then you want them to say, oh, this is the person who's going

52:34to keep me safe. And as Ben mentioned kind of fleetingly earlier, what the BBC

52:38is now reporting is that a lot of those people who were actually hoping that

52:43the United States would do something to help after seeing the United States' actions in

52:48the region are now saying, oh, we can't trust the United States at all to

52:53help us. In fact, we're probably safer with the regime or somebody else because the

52:58United States right now is killing us.

52:59They're killing our families. They're causing chaos.

53:01I look up, and it's nuclear, it's acid rain, and looks like hell and fury,

53:06all the things that Donald Trump says.

53:08And so it's just a very, very precarious situation right now.

53:13And that's why throughout our history, even with people I vehemently disagreed with, you at

53:22least felt like there was some strategy, some plan, that they were following intelligence and

53:28had specific knowledge about what to do with these people.

53:31It feels like they just think it's the whole thing's like a video game, and

53:34they're just pressing buttons and seeing what happens.

53:36And then they're adjusting based on what happened.

53:39And you even see that in the, we showed you the propaganda videos from the

53:43Iranian regime and the Chinese government before.

53:45The United States is doing that as well.

53:48And all of theirs are like, so juvenile.

53:50They're posting clips of like Grand Theft Auto mixed with war footage or Nintendo Wii

53:55clips mixed with war footage.

53:57This ain't a video game.

53:58American soldiers are dying. Americans are being targeted at home.

54:02Innocent Iranians are dying. Innocent people in Lebanon are dying.

54:05Innocent people in Israel are dying.

54:07And it's all because of Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu.

54:10And just before, Jordi, you go, just, Brett, to your point on the differences in

54:13the propaganda, what Iran and China are focusing on is framing the U .S.

54:20as the predator nation, attacking others, right?

54:23Attacking Manab, you know, and then.

54:26calling Trump like the Epstein client, the Chinese one, Donald Trump, exploiting the doves or

54:32the pigeons who are the nations in Central America, South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

54:40Then the Trump propaganda, though, plays right into it, right?

54:43The Trump propaganda is them bombing things, blowing things up, and then treating it like

54:51a video game and saying touchdown while people die.

54:54And so it's important we recognize propaganda techniques because it is part of warfare.

55:01But notice what's happening, how Trump is even executing the propaganda terribly, literally spiking the

55:09football in videos, actually doing that.

55:11Well, it's like his propaganda, though, in the United States, right?

55:14He appeals. What does he always try to appeal to?

55:17Broader the United States, everybody try to bring unity to the country?

55:22No, he tries to play specifically to his MAGA base.

55:25And so when he's doing this propaganda right now, he's once again trying to play

55:30specifically to people who are like, yeah, blow shit up, Team America, fuck yeah, you

55:34know, those are the people he's trying to play with.

55:36When the Iranian propaganda, and don't misconstrue this for support of the Iranian regime in

55:41any way whatsoever, I don't want anybody to get it twisted, but the Iranian propaganda

55:45is actually playing to things that Americans care about.

55:49They're actually quite smart. And they're thinking about this in a sophisticated way, the way

55:55they're talking about how this is going to make your gas prices more or your

55:58oil prices more, the way they're talking about Donald Trump as part of the Epstein

56:02class and Epstein's client. I mean, they know exactly what they're doing with that kind

56:06of messaging. And Donald Trump's messaging, like Ben said, is just playing in to their

56:12biggest caricature of what this government is in the United States.

56:16And that's because that caricature of what this government is in the United States is

56:20accurate. The Trump regime is full of two types of people, in my opinion, smart

56:27people trying to play dumb and dumb people trying to play smart.

56:32And in my opinion, that's the most dangerous combination of idiocy.

56:37These people have one agenda to keep dear leader Donald Trump happy and do his

56:43bidding, no matter the cost.

56:45Donald Trump was born halfway between third base and home plate with a silver spoon

56:50in his mouth. He's not some great negotiator.

56:53He's not some great businessman.

56:55He had daddy's money. He had daddy's money and connection and he failed at everything

57:00he's doing. He's failed at everything he did and he's failed at everything he's doing

57:03now. And just so happens now he's the president of the United States and his

57:07losses aren't monetary losses or business losses.

57:10He's bankrupting the country and he's getting American soldiers killed.

57:15He's getting American soldiers killed.

57:18I mean, I could just keep shouting that and shouting that because it should just

57:21disgust all of us. He got us into a war that we did not need

57:25to be in. He got us into this and he's getting American soldiers killed and

57:29he's raising the prices here in America on a daily basis.

57:32It is impacting the Americans' wallets as our soldiers are dying.

57:36Like to me, it's the be all end all of just idiocy and the worst

57:41of the worst of what could happen is literally happening.

57:44And in my gut, I just know, I just know it's going to keep getting

57:48worse. Like we are just that we're just at the start.

57:50He's going to declare victory every day for the, I guess, until his presidency ends

57:55on this thing. And it's just going to get worse.

57:58And so I just want to caution our viewers here.

58:01Like we need to, the collective, we need to be in this together.

58:04for the long haul here and call all of this bullshit out because it's going

58:07to get tiresome. Like it just is.

58:10But again, American troops are dying because of this buffoon in the White House because

58:15he's too stupid to figure out what the hell he's doing.

58:18Yeah. You know, one of the things I'll just note as well, Brett, to your

58:22point, the various propaganda campaigns, you know, Donald Trump's out there in Kentucky or Cincinnati

58:28screaming off the top of his lungs, saying the most like heinous and outrageous and

58:35disgusting things. I mean, there was there's one clip where he talks about and I

58:40said, why did we kill the Navy?

58:44You know, we killed a ship, the Denna.

58:46We blew up a ship called the Denna, leaving the Indian parade and the Indian

58:51parade in India. They made sure Modi made sure they were unarmed when they entered

58:55the parade. And it was like an international parade.

58:57And we blew up. We blew up this ship, the Denna, with a torpedo and

59:01killed, you know, again, you know, so many people and let the people drown.

59:05And part of maritime laws is you have to help them.

59:07And Trump's like, so I said, why do we kill him?

59:11Let's just make them part of our Navy.

59:13And you know what the generals told me?

59:15It's more fun to kill him.

59:17It's more fun to kill.

59:20Like that's what Trump is saying.

59:22Like, so that's the messages that he's putting out into the world.

59:26And then on the other hand, you have, you know, when I watch, like what

59:30are the Iranian foreign ministers saying and what are, you know, their national security, right?

59:36They intentionally do this. This is part of their plan, but they're acting with intentionality.

59:41Like that's the thing. They have a strategy.

59:43It's obvious to me what their strategy is.

59:46And Trump has no show.

59:47And their strategy is they put people wearing suits because you don't even think that.

59:51And they're very calm in their delivery, like almost very soft with their voice.

59:56And they go, well, look, we are trying to do all of this and here's

59:59what we'd like to do.

1:00:00But however, he keeps blowing up the elementary schools and, you know, we would love

1:00:04to have regional stability and they're talking in ways you would never expect.

1:00:08Because let's face it, let's be honest, right?

1:00:10Let's talk candidly. Like what, what people are expecting when they open those videos is

1:00:13for people to be like, get to America and like screaming and shouting.

1:00:17But instead, it's not like that at all.

1:00:19But when you listen to Donald Trump, that's like what he's saying about them.

1:00:24And so he's delivering them the propaganda that they need and is making this so

1:00:29much worse. And I'd be remiss if I didn't at least close out this conversation

1:00:33by mentioning or taking a little step back and saying, why was Donald Trump in

1:00:39Kentucky in the first place?

1:00:41Why was he there of all places campaigning?

1:00:45Oh, he was there because he was supporting the primary challenger to Republican representative Thomas

1:00:51Massey. And why was he supporting representative Thomas Massey's Republican challenger?

1:00:56Because representative Massey led the charge with representative Ro Khanna to get the Epstein files

1:01:02released. Not exactly beating the accusations there, Donald.

1:07:39the United States was woefully unprepared for the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

1:07:44It was not something that they had anticipated or expected.

1:07:47It was basically considered to be like the nuclear option.

1:07:50I feel like it's a credible phrase to use in the case of war.

1:07:54But you know what I mean.

1:07:55This was like Iran pulling out all the stops.

1:07:58I remember Pentagon officials told CNN before all of this happened, they were like, Iran

1:08:03would never fully close the Strait of Hormuz because that would be devastating.

1:08:08And they couldn't take that.

1:08:09So that's never going to happen.

1:08:11Well, no. They understood how devastating it would be to the global economy.

1:08:15And it's part of their strategy is to kind of completely destroy the United States

1:08:19and the global economy by doing exactly what they were doing right now.

1:08:23So you have Scott Besant lying there.

1:08:25And you have also Scott Besant saying things which are just so irresponsible.

1:08:31First, you saw the comments we showed briefly earlier where Scott Besant was like, he

1:08:36said this to Sky News.

1:08:37He said, well, maybe an international coalition could protect trips.

1:08:41Maybe if only we had an international coalition.

1:08:44Yeah, you're supposed to get the international coalition together before you go to war.

1:08:48And you're not supposed to threaten all the partners that would be in that coalition

1:08:52with invading them. You're not supposed to threaten Greenland.

1:08:56You're not supposed to constantly threaten the UK and Spain and Mexico.

1:08:59and you name it. Donald Canada, Donald Trump has spent all of this time threatening

1:09:04all of our allies and isolating the United States and turning America first into America

1:09:09alone, and now he expects that people are going to solve all of his problems

1:09:13for him. The whole thing is insane.

1:09:15Then there was this other comment by Scott Besant that I think is worth flagging,

1:09:18where Scott Besant, when he was asked if rising costs would ever lead him to

1:09:23tell Donald Trump that the war is no longer affordable, he firmly responded to Sky

1:09:28News, absolutely not. And this right here is the danger of having only yes men

1:09:35surrounding you. To me, a good leader should have people who aren't there to try

1:09:41to cause confrontation, but people who are able to get in there and say, you

1:09:45know what, I have a different opinion on that.

1:09:47Or you know what, I've looked at the impacts that these actions right now are

1:09:50having on our economy and the world economy.

1:09:53And if this thing lasts a couple more weeks, this is going to be devastating.

1:09:56We're talking a recession, if not a depression.

1:09:59So we better figure this stuff out right now.

1:10:01No, not doing that. Instead, all they want to do is say things that affirm

1:10:07Donald Trump's own beliefs, which is why we are here right now.

1:10:12Let's talk about what went down in the White House, though, because this is the

1:10:17time where, you know, you would think about what, like Truman's radio addresses or FDR

1:10:24addressing the nation, right, or commander in chief commanding and really explaining whether it's fireside

1:10:32chats or level headed, explaining to the American people, here's what's going on, right?

1:10:38Here are the issues that we're confronting.

1:10:40But what went down in the White House was yet again, Melania took center stage.

1:10:46Remember two weeks ago when the war started, Melania was leading the United Nations Security

1:10:54Council on behalf of the United States.

1:10:56She was placed as the U .S.

1:10:58representative, and she led the discussions on behalf of the U .S.

1:11:03while we were at war, while we were beginning this disastrous, unlawful war.

1:11:07Well, today, Melania was also leading the discussions, and she talked about how great she

1:11:14was and how, what a visionary she was.

1:11:18And she was like, yeah, I won't do the Melania accent.

1:11:21I don't know if that's offensive or not.

1:11:22I'll just do it. Do it.

1:11:24Do it. Okay. Let me, let me do the accent.

1:11:27Go full accent. Do your Melania, then follow it up with your RFK.

1:11:30Boom, boom, boom. Yeah. Definitely follow it.

1:11:32Melania, RFK, and then I'll accentuate Bessent, and then we'll see if I still am

1:11:36able to have a job.

1:16:01And then I met Jeffrey Epstein and Zilei Maxwell.

1:16:05And I said, hey, G, you are incredible.

1:16:10And you're, and you're, that spread of you and Jeffrey Epstein.

1:16:16New York magazine. Amazing. Amazing.

1:16:20Jeffrey Epstein looked great. You look beautiful in the photos to which Ghislaine responded to

1:16:26me and said, Hey, sweet pea, I'm a too busy for you right now, sweet

1:16:32pea, but I will see you again in Manhattan soon.

1:16:37Am I canceled? Just give me a, no, I think you're good.

1:16:41I see a plethora of, I see a plethora of positive comments.

1:16:47That was the real email exchange.

1:16:54I read that was sent between Melania.

1:17:48Coded language by the air force general Grinkiewicz that there was, this is all serious.

1:17:55At the Senate hearing, I want to, I want to cue you in on the

1:18:00language that was being used because there were things happening at different levels right here.

1:18:04So this top air force general, who's now the United States, supreme allied commander in

1:18:10Europe is actually a really good guy.

1:18:12Like, I'm not just saying like, like, you know, he's been someone who's been dedicated

1:18:18to service his entire life.

1:18:20He was an air force pilot.

1:18:21He climbed the ranks and he's doing his best to help Ukraine and to help

1:18:28keep NATO. I follow him in the various moves.

1:18:31I watched his speech in Sweden.

1:18:33If you watch the Midas touch network, you know that I actually cover Grinkiewicz a

1:18:37lot because I'm trying to see who's trying to just keep this all together right

1:18:43now in the face of Donald Trump trying to break everything and he's trying to

1:18:47keep it together. So the first, one of the first clips I want to show

1:18:51you is where he talks about how, what he's observed as an air force pilot

1:18:56is that when you attack civilian populations and you bomb them in airstrikes and you

1:19:02hit civilians and you miss military targets, you harden the resolve of the people.

1:19:09This is a red alert that he's actually telling the Senate and specifically the intelligence

1:19:16community. He's delivering a coded or not so coded message that this is not going

1:19:23well right now. And he's limited in what he can say because he doesn't want

1:19:27to get fired. And this is why there's this dance going on between the way

1:19:32the Senate is asking him the questions and how he's answering it.

1:19:35So let's play this first clip of him saying that.

1:19:37Let's play it. In the war, um, and the, uh, what I've observed over the

1:19:41course of studying air power in history is that anytime you attack a civilian population,

1:19:45you usually, uh, end up finding that it just hardens their resolve.

1:19:49We take this all the way back to the, the London blitz in World War

1:19:52II. Uh, the Brits just had a stiff upper lip and kept on.

1:19:55fighting and i think that's what we've seen in ukraine as well and he's using

1:20:00the examples of the brits and ukraine though to talk about what's happening with the

1:20:06iranian people right now as well and how it is actually causing them to coalesce

1:20:13around the ayatollah and he's giving these historical examples where to try to make it

1:20:19make sense where ukraine and the brits were under attack here he is again when

1:20:23he's asked by the democratic senator about how the oil prices going up have benefited

1:20:30russia i want you to listen though i'm going to cue you in on some

1:20:34of his coded language here as well let's play which one of the unexpected beneficiaries

1:20:39of our operations in iran has been russia uh the price of gas has increased

1:20:47dramatically which benefits their economy at a point where their economy was suffering after multiple

1:20:54years of warfare we've in fact lifted sanctions on the delivery of their oil with

1:21:00india and other countries we are now in a position where we must send missiles

1:21:07particularly patriot to the gulf area to replenish our supplies rather than to provide them

1:21:15to ukrainians uh this all seems to be a situation where putin is benefiting dramatically

1:21:23is is that your perception that that this has unexpectedly or unintentionally given him a

1:21:31significant increase in staying power senator a couple of thoughts on this first i'm very

1:21:38proud of the role that european command is playing uh to support operation epic fury

1:21:42and our our soldiers sailors airmen marines and guardians have been uh operating at a

1:21:46high tempo uh in the eastern med and elsewhere defending alliance territory and defending our

1:21:50forces uh and projecting power into uh into u .s central command uh as you

1:21:55noted the the price of oil and gas has gone up uh we know that

1:21:59putin does depend on that i think how much he benefits from it uh depends

1:22:03on how long those prices remain elevated i know uh the leadership of the department

1:22:08is watching this very closely i know the the president's watching this very closely uh

1:22:12and uh and that they're they're uh certainly uh concerned about uh the the prices

1:22:18that are out there so i guess uh you know on the on the emissions

1:22:21front what i would say on that is we do continue to flow munitions into

1:22:26ukraine i could get into some of the specifics on implications in the classified session

1:22:30later today but i assure you that support continues and there's a few things going

1:22:34on there as well notice that he says what he's proud of and it's subtle

1:22:39he's proud of european command supporting the high tempo nature and defending our forces to

1:22:48project power into central command a lot of word salad right there but what he's

1:22:54doing is differentiating what he's doing from what hegseth is doing at the defense department

1:23:01and he's actually saying our role that we're doing is not causing this to happen

1:23:08and we're doing our job and the implication is we're doing what we're supposed to

1:23:15be doing you know i'm not the guy for this question like look at look

1:23:19over there he can say that publicly but that's actually a message where you may

1:23:24be thinking well is he trying to cover up and he's acting like they're doing

1:23:27good what it no he's making a very narrow thing we're doing our job and

1:23:33the implication is is yes they're not doing their job the right way and yes

1:23:38i'm aware the president is watching this in other words you should be watching this

1:23:42very closely because this is a major issue and this can be helping russia but

1:23:47he still wants to assure the senators that at least as he's there and he's

1:23:52asking for protection i don't know if you like he's asking them to protect him

1:23:57without saying it i'm aware that we're still flowing munitions into ukraine and there was

1:24:04a lot going on in that and then finally i'll show you senator gillibrand's questioning

1:24:09with him uh let's play this clip any person who can get satellite access to

1:24:15google maps today can see that this was a school new york times had no

1:24:26problem getting that data and information for a report today what do you intend to

1:24:32do at ucom to make sure your targeting is consistent with american values yes senator

1:24:40thanks you know um over the course of my career i've uh as a fighter

1:24:44pilot i've always done everything i can to avoid uh civilian harm and civilian casualties

1:24:50uh and i would tell you that when tragedies like this happen it causes us

1:24:57all to reflect and try to improve our processes i've been involved in the targeting

1:25:02process both of the tactical and the operational levels throughout my career and i would

1:25:06tell you we do have a number of safeguards in the system you know every

1:25:09single time that at the tactical level i was going to release a weapon on

1:25:12a target i was personally making as an assessment as to whether there was any

1:25:18chance of civilian harm and if there was was that proportional to the military necessity

1:25:23of striking the target at the operational level both from my time in u .s

1:25:28central command previously and then now at u .s european command i can assure you

1:25:32that we have robust standards that we go through and look to see and update

1:25:37the imagery and update our understanding of the target refresh the intelligence on a recurring

1:25:41basis to determine the chances of civilian harm and to address any collateral concerns that

1:25:46might be there so you just just know i'm absolutely committed uh to trying to

1:25:50mitigate that risk i appreciate your testimony i'm highly concerned however that secretary hegseth does

1:25:56not agree with you uh secretary hegseth has um criticized rules of engagement designed to

1:26:02adhere to the laws of armed conflict and support civilian harm mitigation um secretary hegseth

1:26:09has also cut the civilian protection center of excellence by about 90 and by the

1:26:15way with the back and forth you see there is in it's choreographed and it's

1:26:22not to say that they said here's what i'm going to ask you and here's

1:26:26what you're going to respond but what they're both communicating is that this is hegseth's

1:26:32doing this and that this is coming from the defense department and he's saying i'm

1:26:37doing what i can do but we are getting pulled into this direction and they're

1:26:41also admitting you know what happened in manab and of course this is what the

1:26:46u .s did they killed 165 little girls there and 185 people you know and

1:26:51now you know one of the things over here that we're talking about also is

1:26:55the iranian girls school which military investigators believe was bombed by the u .s it

1:27:00was bombed by the u .s like it had a years -long presence dozens of

1:27:04photos photos of the children and their activities um like like it was very well

1:27:09known that this was a school um I want to give you some more breaking

1:27:13news right now as well.

1:27:15French President Emmanuel Macron is now confirming that a French soldier was killed in Iraq

1:27:21tonight after a drone attack targeted a counter -ISIS deployment in the Erbil region.

1:27:27Remember how he said that?

1:27:28There were six French soldiers who were injured in that attack.

1:27:33Well, one has now been pronounced dead, and French President Emmanuel Macron says it.

1:27:39I'll just say anecdotally, sometimes I see in the comments, and I appreciate, you know,

1:27:45interacting live with the comments sometimes, but sometimes in the comments, like, well, what's the

1:27:49breaking news? Like, all of it.

1:27:50The whole show is a break.

1:27:51We start off every aspect of it's breaking news.

1:27:53Like, all the stuff that we talked about from the beginning until the end is

1:27:57quite literally news that is either breaking during the show or broke within two hours

1:28:03before the show. And sometimes I see comments that they're just like, what's breaking?

1:28:07I mean, that, all of that.

1:28:10Quite literally all of it.

1:28:12Can I let you know, can I let you know really on like a lighter

1:28:14note what I thought you were going to say because you were holding your glasses?

1:28:16I've seen 20 people at least say, Ben, please clean your glasses in tonight's episode.

1:28:23So I, on behalf of all of them who I see in the comments, asking

1:28:26you to clean your glasses.

1:28:27It gets super foggy. I can't see what it is.

1:28:31You know, they sprays and you do as many hot takes.

1:28:34Dude, my room. The hot takes, I like, well, I like that the hot takes

1:28:36actually is the room that you're in.

1:28:38It's super hot, like it gets mugging.

1:28:39I'm just, I'm just relaying the information because obviously if 20 people said it, it

1:28:44means like 2 million people are thinking it, so.

1:28:46Well, here's the, well, and going back to Ben's thing before, I think so many

1:28:50people that were just like burnt out by just the never -ending chaos on a

1:28:57daily basis. And so when it's like, you know, breaking news, like what's the breaking

1:29:01news, like enough stories happen today that would be months long controversies, scandals, news stories

1:29:09in a previous time period.

1:29:11It's just the news cycle moves so fast right now that it feels like, oh,

1:29:14a war started. Oh, a tanker got bombed.

1:29:17And, oh, this happened, the plane crashed.

1:29:21Like, there's so many things that happen on a daily basis.

1:29:23I think people are just kind of numb to it.

1:29:25And that's, to me, one of the scary things, honestly, about kind of this Trump

1:29:30era. And I think it's by design of, you know, of Donald Trump.

1:29:34Um, the amount of stories, Brett, and also the amount of what would be like

1:29:38career ending scandals, like from an administration from, it's like when Ben does the series,

1:29:43like, you know, hell breaks loose and people are like, where did the hell break

1:29:46loose? That's hyperbolic. The world's on fire.

1:29:49The United States government is actively lying and covering up how many troops are dead

1:29:53and injured. Like that in itself is a career ending, uh, career ending coverup that's

1:30:02actively occurring in front of our eyes.

1:30:04That's just one. And so when we go and Ben goes and reports on the

1:30:09stories after the stories, Ben, I give you all the credit in the world, man,

1:30:13for getting up and digging through the filings and digging through the receipts and grabbing

1:30:17the videos and just bringing it to the people in the way you do.

1:30:20Because I just think it's, it's so needed in a time when someone needs to

1:30:24just be easily to like pick up a phone and be like, wow, look at

1:30:27this, look at this right now.

1:30:28Because, uh, uh, unless it's in your face, the way you're able to present it,

1:30:33Ben, to the audience, it's like so, so smart and so succinct it's in one

1:30:38ear and out the other for people.

1:30:39So. I appreciate Ben's plethora of information.

1:30:42I appreciate our plethora. You guys just know you made me sad with the dirty

1:30:46glasses. I'm sorry. I didn't know like it was going to upset you that much.
