0:00This is an iHeart Podcast.
0:02Guaranteed human. All right, second hour, Clay and Buck kicks off now.
0:07We have some just moments ago comments from President Trump in the Oval Office where
0:14he is with the Prime Minister of Japan, I believe.
0:19I think that's right. Yeah.
0:22I know these countries with their presidents and their prime ministers.
0:26You know what I mean?
0:27Like, it's kind of tough to keep tabs.
0:28You know, sometimes they even throw Chancellor in there.
0:31I'm like, what are we, a university?
0:32What's going on? So, yeah, no, they got president, the prime minister, all this stuff.
0:36I think it's the prime minister of Japan.
0:38In most countries, the prime minister, as we know, is actually, like, the important one.
0:41And the president's less powerful.
0:43But anyway, we'll get to that in a second.
0:45I have some very important updates for you, which just means I'm taking the opportunity
0:51to have a little fun before we get into all the seriousness.
0:54Although Trump said something quite hilarious in the Oval Office, which we'll bring to you
0:57in a second. And I'm not delusional.
1:00There was, in fact, a movie with Tom Selleck in 1984 called Runaway.
1:07And the director, I did not know this until I looked it up, was Michael
1:11Crichton of Jurassic Park fame and ER.
1:14I did not realize this.
1:16But the movie is, in an advanced society where homes have robots that perform everyday
1:23duties for them, sometimes they malfunction.
1:26And they have to call in a team with Sergeant Jack Ramsey, played by Tom
1:32Selleck, to deal with rogue robots in the home.
1:36I'm just saying this was a long, this movie's like, we're going back 40 years,
1:40my friends. It was a long time ago.
1:43Elon's working on robots right now that are going to be able to do your
1:47laundry and cook food for you and everything else.
1:50So, this is, you know, it's kind of interesting to see how this plays out.
1:55I just thought everybody should know that that is a real thing.
1:57The other thing I saw, Clay, on this, because I looked this up on Rotten
2:01Tomatoes, one battle after another has a 94 % positive score on Rotten Tomatoes.
2:09Rigged. Rigged. I don't know if it's the mail -in ballot.
2:12I don't know if they've got illegals voting.
2:14There's no way that one battle after another.
2:16You have or have not seen this movie now?
2:18I have not seen it, but I trust producer Allie.
2:21And she says it is worse than sinners.
2:24She just texted us, it's crap, exclamation point, as you're talking about it.
2:3094 %? I just saw it pop up because I was downstairs setting the multi
2:34-view for my kids to be able to watch the NCAA tournament.
2:38It's spring break week. And so, I was putting it on.
2:42I didn't take them out of school.
2:42Although, there are probably some of you who got to skip school back in the
2:45day on this. And I saw that you can buy it.
2:48And I was actually thinking, oh, should I buy it this weekend since it won
2:51the Oscar? You haven't seen it.
2:54Producer Allie says it's crap.
2:56But to your point, it obviously has got a decent score.
2:59But I do feel like a lot of Rotten Tomatoes is rigged now.
3:03Oh, yeah. Sinners is 97%, which is just appalling.
3:06I mean, this is like, oh, yeah, the latest election in Turkmenistan really went the
3:14way of the ruling party.
3:15Like, it's rigged, right? That's why they get 98 % of the vote.
3:18Sinners is 97 % of the vote.
3:20Rigged. Total war machine, 71%.
3:23War machine, I'm going to tell you this, may be worse than Sinners.
3:27This is a movie with the guy who plays Jack Reacher on the TV show.
3:31I don't remember his name.
3:31But he's all, like, you know, jacked up on T .R .T.
3:34and Royce. I started a show with him.
3:37What? Yeah, Blue Mountain State.
3:41He was one of the fad on Blue Mountain State.
3:45Alan Richter, is that his name?
3:48Richson, maybe? Something like that.
3:51Alan Richtson, like that? Yeah.
3:52He was a, but yeah, I know he's super successful now.
3:56And actually grew up where I am right now on the panhandle of Florida.
4:01But yeah, I did Blue Mountain State, which has become a cult classic on streaming
4:06services now. I played myself back in the day.
4:08I'm going to ruin this movie for you, by the way, if you haven't seen
4:11it. And I know you're like, fuck, this isn't a movie review show.
4:14I'm going to get to all the news in a second.
4:15We have three hours a day.
4:17Just give me a second here.
4:18All right? I sit through these movies so you don't have to.
4:20I am doing all of you a service.
4:22So, Clay, Predator, which is an amazing movie from the 80s with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
4:28And Predator is a fantastic movie.
4:30This is like a Predator ripoff, except it's Army Rangers.
4:34Well, I saw this. We were picking a movie to watch, and I was like,
4:37there's no way this movie is any good.
4:39It's on Netflix, right? Like, Laura and I were picking a movie, and I was
4:42like, I won't watch that one.
4:43This is the dumbest movie.
4:44It's the dumbest movie maybe I've ever seen.
4:46Sinners is a better movie.
4:47See, I'm fair. This isn't about politics for me.
4:49Sinners is a better, more entertaining movie, even though it's crap, than War Machine.
4:54War Machine, just think about this premise for a second.
4:57There are a bunch of Army Rangers who are training non -live fire, okay?
5:02They've got, like, the laser gun, like laser tag guns, basically, all right?
5:06Whatever they call that, like simunition or laser tag.
5:09And out of nowhere, with no explanation, a big robot machine appears and starts just
5:15shooting them. Yes. And then they have to, like, run away from it while they're
5:19all getting blown up by the big robot machine.
5:21And then eventually, he gets himself.
5:24into like an earth excavator and he defeats the robot machine.
5:30It's the dumbest movie I've ever seen.
5:31Like, the people who wrote this movie should be ashamed.
5:34The fact that this movie even got made is appalling.
5:37I could write a better movie in one day.
5:40One day. Give me one day, Netflix.
5:42I vetoed that movie for Laura because I was like, it's like a robot predator
5:46but way worse. So you have confirmed that that's true.
5:50I'll give you a movie.
5:51I don't know how many people have heard about this.
5:53The one that we picked, and I only watch movies when it's not football season.
5:56I actually have time. We watched A House of Dynamite.
6:00Have you heard about this?
6:01No. On Netflix. I don't know how popular this thing was.
6:06It came out last year, and it is about what would happen if a nuclear
6:12weapon was launched towards the U .S., and it just takes you.
6:16It's not particularly political that I noticed.
6:19It just takes you into the special ops, into everything that would occur to the
6:26best of their ability if there were a nuclear weapon launched.
6:29We don't know where it's come from.
6:31It's just been launched from a submarine, basically, is the idea, but we're not sure
6:36exactly how it got launched, who was responsible for it.
6:38What do you do? What happens if that moment actually occurred?
6:42It's a nuclear weapon headed towards the United States, one missile, and it just is
6:48an examination of the behind -the -scenes.
6:50You're in the White House.
6:51You're in the Situation Room.
6:53You're seeing it from the Defense Department perspective, from the young.
6:57Anyway, it's good. I thought it was pretty good.
6:59It sounds way better. I mean, this already, I'm sold.
7:01This sounds way better. I have no idea how accurate it is, but it felt
7:06accurate to me that this is something what it might somewhat look like.
7:10And also, if any of you are asking, the Tom Selleck movie, Runaway, is apparently
7:13terrible, so just don't put that on your list.
7:15That was Michael Crichton L, unfortunately.
7:18Not a good movie, but Tom Selleck's a great American hero.
7:22Clay, I can't believe you abandoned mustache team, by the way.
7:25I'm still, like, a lot of ladies are upset about this.
7:26I got it short. You know what the truth of the matter is?
7:29Wearing a mustache is hard to do without the mustache hairs getting in your nose.
7:33I don't know if there's experts out there on how to handle this.
7:36It was making my nose itch all the time.
7:38It was making me sneeze all the time.
7:39Like, the mustache gets into your nose region, and I wasn't very good at being
7:44able to handle it. We probably, in this audience, have some winners of the International
7:48Mustache Competition. I mean, this is a facial hair -heavy audience.
7:52We got a lot of dudes, a lot of bros, who could probably weigh in
7:55on how to keep the hair out of your nostrils.
7:57So I'm just saying, because our ladies are grandmas for Clay, which, if it's not
8:03officially a group, it basically is a group, because I've seen them, and they're very
8:06handsy around him. And, you know, Laura's very patient with this.
8:09The grandmas get very handsy with Clay.
8:11I don't know. Once they hit, like, 60, all of a sudden, they're just grabbing
8:14and squeezing Clay. They were big fans of the mustache.
8:17Tom Selleck style. Back to the movie, though.
8:20I got to tell you the worst part about War Machine, and I promise we're
8:23going to get to the Trump thing now.
8:24The worst part about War Machine, though, is think about this.
8:26In the movie Predator, you have this elite special operations team.
8:29They've got all this, like, state -of -the -art weaponry.
8:32They've even got a minigun.
8:35And they've got all this cool stuff, and they're in the jungle.
8:37It's a warfare. In the movie, in this movie, War Machine, they're in a training
8:41exercise. They don't even have any rifles.
8:44And they're just running away from this machine that's going, bam, and, like, blowing them
8:47up. This is the worst movie I've ever seen.
8:49They're, like, throwing rocks at the robot.
8:51Yeah, somebody said it's Predator with a robot, and they were like, here's $100 million,
8:56and it's not a good movie.
8:59What's so funny is that I could say to someone, hey, I'm going to write
9:01a movie for Netflix, and Netflix, like, executives would laugh.
9:04I could write a better movie than this movie.
9:06I'm not kidding. Certainly in a weekend, probably in 24 hours.
9:09It was that bad. I mean the whole thing, the screenplay, the whole thing.
9:12All right, now, Trump, let's get into it.
9:14News. We are a news program.
9:1636, here it is. Donald Trump meeting with the president of Japan, or prime minister
9:21of Japan, sorry, prime minister of Japan, and he was asked by a reporter, why
9:26didn't you tell Japan ahead of the Iran strikes what was coming?
9:30Here's what he said. One thing you don't want to signal too much, you know,
9:33when we go in, we went in very hard, and we didn't tell anybody about
9:37it, because we wanted surprise.
9:40Who knows better about surprise than Japan, okay?
9:43Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor, okay?
9:48Right? He's asking me, do you believe in surprise?
9:53I think much more so than us.
9:55And we had to surprise him, and we did.
9:59He's really funny. He's asked, why don't you tell the allies about the huge air
10:04campaign you launched today? And he's like, what about Pearl Harbor?
10:07It is very funny that the Japanese person in the Oval Office would ask the
10:12president of the United States why they kept the Iranian attack secret and didn't tell
10:17the allies. And I think some of you would have thought of that, but Trump
10:21on his feet immediately thinks, why didn't you guys tell us about Pearl Harbor?
10:25And this response is going mega viral.
10:29Again, I've been reading so much about World War II and trying to learn more
10:33and more about it. But the negativity of our war with Iraq, our whatever you
10:40want to call it, intervention, our altercation, our engagement, whatever word you want to apply
10:46to this current situation, I do wonder...
10:51I do wonder... I do wonder...
10:52I do wonder... We're going to see you next time.
10:52Thank you. How would things that most of us look back on now in time
10:56and say, you know what, World War II, boy, we were really the good guys.
11:00How would today's American media cover World War II?
11:05Are they of the belief, my argument is they are not, that America could be
11:11a good guy? Are left -wing media today, are they able to even comprehend or
11:19willing to consider that the United States might be a good guy?
11:24And, Buck, I give credit.
11:25Do you see the cover?
11:26It's very powerful. I saw it this morning of the Australian newspaper.
11:32The Australian is a great newspaper that I read because I buy all the print
11:37media when I was in Australia a couple of years ago.
11:40They put the faces of tons of the victims of Iran's government, over 30 ,000
11:47of them, who were murdered for protesting.
11:50And a lot of people are asking the question, why is an Australian media outlet
11:55covering these 30 ,000 deaths in a way that the U .S.
11:59isn't? And Stephen Chung, who works inside of the White House for President Trump, just
12:03shared this story. They just executed a 19 -year -old champion wrestler, publicly hung him
12:12for protesting the government that exists right now in Iran.
12:18So they are continuing with public executions, and a lot of people out there who
12:25otherwise are always saying, oh, look at how awful Israel is.
12:29Look at what's going on in all of these places right now.
12:34And they just executed a 19 -year -old, killed him in a public hanging.
12:40You know, good and evil still exists, and Iran is evil, and the government of
12:47Iran, not the people of Iran.
12:50And I think much of a media has lost the ability to call good and
12:56evil because they bought into this idea that the United States is evil too.
13:01And if we're evil, then there is no good.
13:06And I do think this is where moral authority matters and eliminating moral relativity matters.
13:13I mean, think about the way that two deaths in Minneapolis were covered in this
13:18country, whatever you think about them, Alex Pruitt and Renee Goode.
13:23Those two people being killed were covered as an unacceptable result of Trump's draconian policy.
13:32Now, most of you disagree with that.
13:34You've seen the footage, all those things.
13:35But just think about the way the media covered it.
13:38Meanwhile, we're trying to help the people of Iran after they just killed 30 ,000
13:43of their innocent citizens intentionally just for marching in the streets to say, hey, we
13:48should have basic human rights.
13:51I do think it's hard to reconcile that.
13:54And I think it's a profound failure of the American media.
13:57And it makes me wonder, to what extent can we even comprehend the way that
14:04something like World War II, which I think most people would say, hey, we were
14:07the good guys. How would today's American media cover World War II?
14:11And how are they failing when they're covering the Iran situation?
14:14I think it's a honestly big -picture question that's worth a lot of people comprehending
14:18and contemplating. Here on Clay and Buck, we support any company that chooses to create

15:30Welcome back in. Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show.
15:35Try to give a lot of tips to everyone out there.
15:38I don't know how many people know this, Buck.
15:40I've got a tip for you.
15:42You know, sometimes you have to go to a sporting event.
15:44You're not a sporting person or you're going to go to a party.
15:47NCAA tournaments underway, all these things.
15:51Do you know how you could tell who the favored team is in any NCAA
15:57tournament basketball game that is currently going to be going on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
16:03which would then allow you to, just by looking at the screen, and this is
16:07assuming you don't see the seeds, sound super intelligent, even if you know nothing about
16:12college basketball. I'm going to give all of you a tip.
16:14It's going to blow a lot of your minds if you're not a sports fan.
16:17The favored team in the NCAA tournament.
16:20tournament is always wearing white so if you just walked in and you just saw
16:26the basketball game was going on and you saw a score and for instance right
16:30now Ohio State is the eight seed and they are losing to the nine seed
16:35TCU first game to have tipped off you could just say boy this is surprising
16:40I thought Ohio State would beat TCU you don't need to know anything you would
16:46have that opinion entirely based on the fact that they are wearing the white jersey
16:50so I have blown some of your minds if you're out there and you have
16:55a lot of sports fans don't even know this about the NCAA tournament you'll look
16:59at that you immediately know who is the favored team in the NCAA tournament they
17:05wear home whites I'm a woman and I don't have a mustache Kendra says but
17:11my husband has quite the impressive goatee and is working on a handlebar mustache the
17:15trick is the wax he looks quite handsome and dashing look I I if I'm
17:20starting to wax a mustache like this is way more work than I want to
17:24get involved on buck like I barrel I comb my hair once I don't do
17:28hair product I don't do any of that stuff did Laura ever give you I
17:32mean she is the final authority on clay facial hair did she give you a
17:37beard better than mustache mustache better than beard or did she was she kind of
17:41agnostic she was kind of agnostic I think she's given up on me looking very
17:45good no matter what choices I make I mean after 22 years I know clay
17:49looks very handsome come on clay she's given up um all right well when we
17:55come back uh cash patel is testifying on capitol hill right now you know how
18:00awful this is with all the tsa lines buck we need to tee off on
18:03this talk about it uh all right an fbi report on home burglaries not a
18:08fun thing to read but it's important to know what's in it across all 50
18:12states as many as 3 000 burglaries each day um no matter where you are
18:16in the country this can happen very safe communities rural communities just it can happen
18:20so you want to be prepared and you want to have non -lethal options at
18:24least a lot of you want to have non -lethal options on hand this is
18:26where saber comes in saber's home defense products like the launcher the pepper launcher is
18:33incredibly effective at stopping the threat the saber home defense launcher delivers seven powerful impactor
18:38pepper projectiles which is two more than most competitors when fear hits and you have
18:42to defend yourself you want to have that extra stopping power and you want to
18:45take action now so that you're prepared go to saber radio .com s -a -b
18:50-r -e radio .com that's saber radio .com or call 844 -824 -SAFE 844 -824
18:58-SAFE welcome back into clay and buck we're going to get to uh fbi director
19:03cash patel's comments on the security situation here at home in a second uh but
19:08first a vip email from sissy buck i'm with you on questioning the iran end
19:13game after spending hundreds of millions of dollars bombing iran uh but it's a lot
19:18i mean it's i think she meant hundreds of billions it's gonna be a lot
19:20more than hundreds of millions uh is it too much to ask uh the government
19:24to pay tsa agents this is their livelihood and they're needed for security yeah this
19:31tsa thing which we're about to get into also with um with cash patel here
19:36clay you know what let's here's cash patel fbi director patel just weighed in on
19:40this with the dhs partial funding uh shutdown issue this is 37 he just said
19:47this play it after four years of an open border during the biden administration where
19:52we know countless individuals with terror ties many to these groups across our southern border
19:57and at a time when we are actively engaged with the largest state sponsor of
20:03radical jihadi terror can you confirm that the threat to the american people in this
20:08setting is much higher due to the democrats current defunding of the department of homeland
20:13security as i highlighted earlier congressman um the fbi works hand in glove with the
20:18department of homeland security and our 59 established homeland security task forces around the country
20:23and those officers are now going one month without pay but they're still showing up
20:27to work but yes funding would absolutely help us protect the homeland a month without
20:33pay what is this is on here congress this is ridiculous the average tsa agent
20:38makes about forty thousand dollars a year um now some of them make more uh
20:42they are working as a result as almost anybody who makes forty thousand dollars a
20:47year is they are working paycheck to paycheck trying to save trying to take care
20:52like everybody else out there to me this is a great example of a choice
20:57that has been made that is indefensible now on top of that i think there
21:01is a it's not uh the correct thing to do for the people who are
21:06doing those jobs they deserve to be paid as all of us do for the
21:09work that they do at the time that they do it second um it is
21:14actually making us far more dangerous because a lot of people are having to go
21:19find other jobs or they're calling in sick or they're quitting because they're fed up
21:23with the fact that they're not getting paid for their work as many of you
21:28would be as well and on top of that if you're going through tsa right
21:35now every morning i wake up buck and i go through and i'm doing prep
21:40for the show and there is a different airport going viral because the lines have
21:45extended outside of the airport into parking garages, outdoors, this is lunacy.
21:53And I think it honestly should be a bigger story.
21:56I think it would be a bigger story if Iran wasn't going on.
21:59I think all the newscasts would be setting up at the airport and they would
22:03be interviewing angry people. Buck, I don't know about you, I don't care what your
22:08politics are. If I have to stand in line for hours to go through airport
22:13security, I want everybody involved fired.
22:18I'm just going to be honest with you.
22:19Democrat, Republican, Independent, I think most people, if you are standing in line, now look,
22:24Democrats are the ones that have refused to open, and I think that's important to
22:29say, and they are asking for things that have nothing to do whatsoever with the
22:34TSA, and they are breaking previously agreed upon spending protocols.
22:40All of that is true.
22:41But I'm telling you, you want something where people are just steaming mad no matter
22:46what? You make somebody stand in line for hours at the TSA, they're going to
22:51be furious. They're going to be mean to the TSA agents.
22:54They're going to be angry and embittered when they get on airplanes, if they're fortunate
22:59enough to make their flights.
23:00They're going to be less kind than they normally would be to flight attendants, to
23:05different airline employees that are working inside of the airports.
23:10This is why every airline CEO in America published an open letter saying, get this
23:17funded and pay everybody. And, Buck, the ridiculous thing about this is, eventually they're going
23:22to get paid. It's illegal to employ people and not compensate them for their work.
23:29So the principle or the perspective that's even being advocated for is nonsensical because we
23:37know how this ends. It ends with them eventually getting paid.
23:41But in the meantime, people are not able to take care of their families.
23:44And I just think this is wrong.
23:46And I don't think this should be allowed, period.
23:48You shouldn't be allowed to make people continue to work without paying them for working,
23:54period. Because guess what? Your credit card bills still come due.
23:57Your car payments still come due.
23:59Your rent still comes due.
24:01And most people don't have the ability to go, candidly, for two months without making
24:07money. They just don't. And so I think that everything about this is wrong.
24:11And I think it makes us less safe.
24:13And I think it also makes everybody angrier.
24:17Because I understand you shouldn't have to stand in line for two hours to go
24:20to the airport. So just so we're all very clear on this, the reason why
24:25DHS people are not getting paid and the reason why TSA lines are incredibly long
24:32and a whole bunch of different airports burning tens of thousands of people's time unnecessarily
24:39is because Democrats, like a bunch of babies throwing a tantrum, think that this is
24:48forcing accountability for what happened in Minneapolis where a couple of lunatics forced a confrontation
24:57with ICE officers and got shot.
25:02Yes, that's 100 % true.
25:04People are waiting in line.
25:06If you have had to wait in line or if you are a DHS officer,
25:10a TSA officer who has not gotten paid, it is because Chuck Schumer and company
25:15think that the lunatics that we saw on camera running up to people on ICE,
25:21like, oh, you can't, the child predator illegal alien you're trying to arrest is as
25:26American as apple pie. Those lunatics got shot.
25:30It was mishandled from the messaging perspective.
25:33That's why Nome no longer has a job at DHS, which was the right move,
25:37by the way. And that's what this is all about?
25:43Yes. One has nothing to do with the other.
25:47Yes. They're just inflicting pain on people to show the Democrat base of maniacs who
25:53don't want anyone, and be clear, they don't want anyone deported because they don't want
25:57the worst of the worst illegals that are prioritized by these ICE task forces in
26:03different cities because they're multiple -time felons, because they've come into the country illegally after
26:08being deported multiple times, all this stuff.
26:10They don't even want them gone.
26:12We are light years away from, like, kindly abuela, you know, who's been here for
26:1930 years getting sent back to Nicaragua or something.
26:23That is not what's going on.
26:25What's going on is they're going after the high -level public safety threats, and Democrats
26:29aren't even okay with that.
26:31And Democrats will stymie it.
26:32They will stop it. They won't allow them to go into courthouses.
26:35They won't allow detainer requests.
26:37They won't allow any of this.
26:38And they think they're the good guys.
26:40This is just a messaging battle for them.
26:42They want to just say, this is about accountability for ICE, and we have to
26:45know, they have to show their faces, and they have to...
26:48They don't want immigration enforcement.
26:50It's crazy. They'd already agreed to this.
26:52It basically is, it's beyond absurd.
26:55And I don't know when it's going to end.
26:57A part of me thinks that Democrats are hoping there's something awful that happens because
27:02you know what will happen, right?
27:03They're not paying TSA. If somebody gets through a TSA screening with something that they
27:09can do harm to others with gun, bomb, whatever it is, Democrats will line up
27:14and say this is all...
27:15president trump's fault you know it i know it they're going they're basically rooting for
27:23something awful to happen so that they can blame trump here is a truck i
27:28mentioned him chuck schumer cut 17 play this one they are trying to dupe us
27:34folks they are trying to dupe america they say oh this is just a voter
27:38id law bullshit it is not a voter id law it is a law that
27:45will kick millions of americans off the voting rolls we know what happened their bill
27:52they had to add this in demands that every state turn over the voting rolls
27:56to the department of homeland security and we've had enough of them on other issues
28:02on other issues and once they get that there is a algorithm put in by
28:07trump by musk and doge that would kick tens of millions of people off the
28:12rolls i that's i mean that's all about the save act obviously the save america
28:18act but the point is like this is what democrats just sabotage the country and
28:23think they're the good guys this is all they're doing it with dhs and ice
28:26they're doing it with the save america act this this is where it is man
28:30they and clay unfortunately you know they're they're pretty effective at lying i mean they're
28:38pretty good at convincing people who don't pay close attention that somehow they're the good
28:41guys and all this this is like george floydism we're talking about here up in
28:44minneapolis with the eye don't forget about the facts oh two people were shot by
28:50ice and it's it's terrible and that's why we have to wait in line at
28:53tsa like what are they even talking about it makes no sense people that were
28:55shot by ice were acting like maniacs they were they were obstructing law enforcement why
29:01should tsa agents paychecks be held hostage because democrats are angry about ice i mean
29:06but this is what i mean it's it's it's george floydism in that oh george
29:09floyd was killed by one cop so now your store in like baltimore should be
29:14burned to the ground yeah that's just an excuse for people to act like idiots
29:18but these guys are just again the average tsa agent makes 40k think about how
29:25many of you out there listening right now could go six or eight weeks without
29:29a paycheck even if you ultimately get that paycheck down the line you're working full
29:34time how many of you could pay all your bills if you didn't get two
29:38months of pay your average tsa agent can't it's not like they're making four hundred
29:42thousand dollars a year it's not like they have the ability to create huge savings
29:46on forty thousand dollars a year on average i just think this is frankly reprehensible
29:51and awful and the results again i just jotted it down no pay is wrong
29:56making us more dangerous uh in the country at a time when there are people
30:01trying to attack us new york city uh austin denver a detroit area and uh
30:08and old dominion and the politics on it to buck's point are ludicrous so it
30:15doesn't even add none of it adds up and the end result is awful across
30:20the board for everybody this again i think it's not a bigger story because iran
30:24is soaking up all of the news right now but every morning locally this is
30:29a big story if you're trying to go to the airport and they're telling you
30:32to get there three hours before your flight and you're standing there for hours in
30:36your line it's a big deal people are angry let me tell you when we
30:40were doing counterinsurgency analysis in the worst days of the iraq war one thing that
30:46we would talk about uh as we were doing these assessments and going into the
30:50white house talk to bush talk to cheney the national security team etc was the
30:55problem of dealing with an insurgency is they benefit from misery all they have to
31:02do is create misery yeah at some level they're winning right blow this up kill
31:06this person make life unlivable because the people who are supposed to be in charge
31:10are hurt by their inability to protect everyone else this is kind of the democrat
31:16approach to when the republicans have an administration all they want to do is just
31:20create misery and dissension they don't have better ideas they don't have ways they don't
31:25they don't want to fix anything they are like insurgents they just want to spread
31:30misery because they benefit from misery and that is what schumer and all of his
31:33democrat pals are trying to do that's obviously what this tsa thing is make people
31:38ticked off make people feel bad tell them that bad things are happening and then
31:42they can be democrats can be in power that's the whole game and it's really
31:46hard to deal with because misery is easy to make um misery uh is unfortunately
31:53the name of the game in many different parts of the middle east right now
31:57including uh in israel where jerusalem's old city thankfully has so far managed to avoid
32:05significant um significant damage but the church of the holy sepulcher where the uh crucifixion
32:12happened where jesus was buried uh it is very close to having been hit multiple
32:17times not an hour goes by in israel without a siren going off notifying residents
32:22to seek protection from incoming missiles or drone attacks no one in israel regardless of
32:27what their background is is immune from danger uh and the international fellowship of christians
32:32and jews has been working in israel for years and this month is an incredible
32:36challenge because they're trying to get as much food emergency equipment care for kids and
32:40help for the elderly as they can get as much food emergency equipment care for
32:42kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help
32:42for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and
32:42help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids
32:42and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for
32:42kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help
32:43for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and
32:43help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids
32:43and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for
32:43kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help
32:43for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and
32:43help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids
32:43and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for
32:43kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help
32:43for kids and help for kids and help for kids and help for kids and
32:43help for kids They're also building bomb shelters.
32:45They're trying to allow hospitals to stay in business.
32:47They're trying to protect first responders.
32:49You can help rush life -saving support to Israel right now by calling 888 -488
32:57-IFCJ. That's 888 -488 -IFCJ.
33:02I have seen the work they do in Israel.
33:05It is life -changing. It is incredibly encouraging, substantially, and incredibly transformative.
33:11You can go online at ifcj .org.
33:15We know this organization. We trust it.
33:18The website, again, ifcj .org.
33:21That's ifcj .org. You ain't imagining it.
33:26The world has gone insane.
33:29We claim your sanity with Clay and Buck.
33:32Find them on the free iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
33:37Welcome back in. Clay Travis, Buck Sexton's show.
33:40During a commercial break, I got a good email from Meryl, who I know.
33:45She actually works nearby here.
33:48Says, Clay, listening to your TSA discussion, why don't we stop paying senators and congressmen
33:55or any of their staff until they open the federal government?
33:59I think this should 100 % be the law.
34:03I think that every single person who works on Capitol Hill should not get paid
34:09if Congress shuts down the government.
34:12Instead of the TSA agents having to bear the brunt of Congress's inability to get
34:17their act together, I think that every congressman, every senator, and all of their staffs.
34:23Now, some of you are going to say, well, congressmen, senators are all super wealthy.
34:26Not all of them. I think this would end shutdowns.
34:30I think it would end shutdowns, Buck, if Congress got treated the same way that
34:34the TSA agents and all their staffs.
34:36And I think it's 100 % appropriate.
34:38I think it makes complete sense.
34:39You know what the problem is with congressionally or with getting congressional accountability?
34:48Is you need Congress to put the law through for congressional accountability?
34:53Oh, yeah, I get it.
34:53This is like term limits conversations.
34:56Like, yeah, term limits, yeah.
34:58I'm with you guys. Term limits.
35:00I like it. Sounds great to me.
35:01You know who's not going to do term limits?
35:03The people that don't want term limits in the Congress.
35:06That's the problem. Well, yes.
35:08But I do think that there are enough senators and congressmen out there who would
35:14say, this makes sense. Like, I just go on the record voting against it.
35:19I think it's hard to explain to your average constituent.
35:22I think it's a great point.
35:23And again, all of the people who work on Capitol Hill, by and large, are
35:27doing better financially than the average TSA agent is.
35:31So if you're going to bear a brunt, if you're going to argue this is
35:35so politically necessary, actually do it to yourself.
35:38I think it's a great point.
35:41Can I also tell everybody, Clay, it's exciting, but Amazon is now fully stocked again
35:46with Manufacturing Delusion. So if you haven't gotten your copy yet, it's also the hardcovers
35:51marked down to $25. Manufacturing Delusion.
35:54Get yourself a copy at Amazon.

36:10have some fun with that.
36:11But did you see they have caught Mayor Momdani's wife with even more outrageous anti
36:18-Jewish posts? We will have some fun with that.
36:22I've got a take. I'm curious if Buck's response to this take.
36:27And we will also continue to roll through all of your talkbacks and update you
36:33on the situation in Iran.
36:34We've played a ton of those cuts already.
36:36So that shall be the next hour of the program.
