1:50Why is there a deep sensation of distrust and disgust right now across the country

1:58and in many ways, the world?

2:11As you scroll through your feed, you see Sean's rant.

2:17Of just calling out the administration and other people not exposing pedophiles.

2:25You see the European Union throwing out a tremendous amount of censorship towards its people

2:35and politicians. You see possible market manipulations in different areas around, right?

2:45With all these challenges like GameStop and MMTLP and all this other stuff.

2:54And like people are feeling that.

2:56Even I asked last night at dinner, I had all the girls around, my wife.

3:01And I said, you know, do you guys feel a sense of negativity in the

3:05air? Do you feel at school and you're in your social circles and all this?

3:09And they all kind of said they couldn't quite articulate it.

3:13But they did come to the conclusion that, yeah, there was an innate disturbance present

3:21in how they were experiencing the world.

3:25And God knows if you listen to me for five seconds or watch the show

3:29or listen to the show or follow me around or follow what I'm doing on

3:33X at Team Frog Logic or on the gram.

3:36You see, man, I'm well aware of this massive level of distrust, right?

3:44You know, and I think there's right, there are definitive things that you can point

3:50to and say, yeah, this makes sense while people are uneasy, right?

3:55$38 trillion in debt. We're supposed to hit $40 trillion.

3:58I read one by, that said, $60 trillion by 39, 2039 or something crazy.

4:06You know, you have the impending crisis, obviously, of what's going on if Ukraine and

4:13Russia spills out into Eastern Europe.

4:15You have other crisis in the Middle East.

4:18Are we going to bomb Iran in the next couple months, right?

4:22Obviously, the political corruption that we're seeing all over the place in Minnesota.

4:28Minnesota and Maine and California and Florida and all over.

4:32It doesn't matter, red state, blue state.

4:34It's just there's a level of corruption present.

4:37I mean, I've been covering these election abnormalities like it's going out of business because

4:41I fundamentally believe the country, a large portion of the country distrusts our election systems.

4:48And without trustful election systems, the outcome, the inevitable outcome is destruction, chaos, and war,

4:57right? It's just the way it is.

4:58Now, you know, you can also say there's a culture battle being waged, right, on

5:03in the streets and classrooms across the country against ICE officers, students staging protests, right?

5:12A distrust for government, a distrust for cultural individuality, whether it's people that can't stand

5:24trans people. people or can't stand Jewish people or can't stand white people or can't

5:28stand blacks or Hispanics or whatever it is, like this divisiveness, this distrust is emerging

5:35at another level. You know, the other one I see a tremendous amount, too, is

5:40people and their worry about AI and what it's going to do, right?

5:45Well, we already know AI is manipulating our social media feeds and driving us down

5:50these algorithmic psychological adaptations, right?

5:57We adapt to the feed that it thinks we want to feed us to and

6:01then reinforces biases as we just consume the dopamine hits, which ultimately move into stress

6:08hormones, which make us preparation for outlandish reactions and behaviors.

6:15Look at the trans dude who shot up, killed his wife and kids at the

6:19hockey game the other day in Providence, right?

6:22I mean, and he had quoted on some other, there's a trans person in Congress

6:26and he had quoted, well, if they don't acknowledge us or something to this extent,

6:30watch when we go berserker, right?

6:34You know, and you also have the level of censorship that's taking place on all

6:38platforms, right? YouTube is notorious.

6:41LinkedIn is horrific. We see it now merging on TikTok.

6:44We see it, you know, I think X is the best place, but there's still

6:48some, you know, the customization of the algorithm for certain things for sure, right?

6:56But I'm here to tell you, it's all of it.

6:58It's the whole thing, right?

7:00And the real question is, you know, what is rooted in the foundations of these

7:07fears? What's the thing that's present that destabilizes or demoralizes or antagonizes or, I ran

7:20out of izes, but what's the thing at the root of all this, right?

7:24And what I believe it to be is the obvious existence of willful deception that

7:32is pretty much flowing like a river of evil that has broken through the dam

7:38of our cognitive dissonance, right?

7:43What does that mean? That means we have allowed ourselves to become accustomed to deceit

7:49as a regularity within the social construct of our everyday activities, right?

7:58In particular, what we consume via the internet or social media or anything like that,

8:05or what we even watch as well, too.

8:07I mean, look at how some documentaries create a narrative that is different than another

8:14narrative, right? Or how we make content that generates a different perception of something as

8:23opposed to whatever. And, you know, I think, you know, we've seen this at a

8:28major, major level. However, however, you know, what I have seen, which is positive to

8:36me and the magnitude of deception and the lies that are just, what, they're seeping

8:46into the neurons of our subconscious in our consciousness, right?

8:54They're being woven into what we believe to be acceptable or not acceptable or what

9:03we dismiss or what we look to, what is considered a component of advancement or

9:10ambition, maybe, right? That cognitive dissonance, that moral relativism I talk a lot about, right?

9:16Well, here's the thing. Once I think a person comes to grips with one major

9:23concept, story, historical event, person, bio on somebody or news story or whatever it is,

9:34right? And this is an event, an experience, right?

9:37That originally or has been put forth in this shroud of deceit or manipulation or

9:46lies, once people have come to grips in the acknowledgement that people are inevitably have

9:55been forced to accept, right, these misnomers or these illusions, right?

10:04Once you've been, once you fully understand that you have been intentionally lied to at

10:09a historic level, right, because lying is historical in nature where every major tribe, society,

10:19civilization, empire, kingdom, whatever you want to say it, lies are woven in because it's

10:27woven into us. It's a major component.

10:29So when do I believe the magnitude of this unsettling reality kind of began to

10:36intravenously impact our society? Well, for me, it was COVID -19, right?

10:44And it started with the recognition what, hey, put that mask on your face and

10:49stand six feet away from each other.

10:51Wait a minute. If I were - this mask and my exhalation and i'm sick

10:55won't that make me sicker plus i'm not taking fresh air in what and then

10:59i can't get next to somebody what if that person already had it has uh

11:03immunity natural immunity uh i can't stand next to them and then all of a

11:08sudden it was like oh i'm the problem i'm the one killing grandma and you

11:12know like that doesn't make sense then they started closing schools when we knew that

11:16the percentage of of children that were negatively impact us was 0 .008 or something

11:23like that some astronomically low prevalence of mortality within kids and in fact i don't

11:29believe it was existence at all unless there was horrific pre -existing conditions right we

11:34know obesity played a role we know certain uh medical aspects or genetic aspects played

11:42a role and so when we say we're going to close the schools we're going

11:46to take kids out of socialization we're going to uh put them in isolation i

11:50mean la county 22 percent of the population wasn't around was uh was lost right

11:57children they didn't go to school they lost track of them what do you think

12:00those kids were doing all right uh small business closures right we can't let people

12:05go into small business we got to shut those down got to shut churches down

12:09but we're going to keep the liquor stores the weed stores the big box stores

12:14right we're going to keep all those open boy right we saw it even more

12:20pronounced with the blm riots right when hundreds of thousands of people are in the

12:24streets no mass no six feet no nothing swapping spits air or whatever oh no

12:29no but this is okay this is this is meaningful right it didn't take a

12:35genius to figure out right you're getting lied to the severity of it where it

12:40originated oh this came from a pangolin duck or a paint whatever pangolin thing is

12:46in a wet market overseas well what do we know now it actually was a

12:51bio weapon that was designed back probably in 2012 13 right coronavirus all right bad

12:58bad things the whole deal and it was offshored and then it made its way

13:01around the world the next thing you know eco health alliance is working in a

13:05chinese biomanufacturing medical military biomanufacturing facility we're partnered with the chinese our sworn enemy and

13:13it's and it might have happened near there lies and then all of a sudden

13:19it's like okay we've got the cure it's this vaccine it's safe and effective i

13:23want you to take it don't worry you're fine it'll completely absolve you of any

13:29any impact you you know and it's a non -vaccinated they're welcome to the winner

13:35of death that's what biden told me and my family and everybody else out there

13:40right so get the vaccine or else well then we start seeing well the vaccine

13:45is causing some problems in particular young people who are by the way not very

13:50uh in threat of this thing wait myocarditis pericarditis now there's reports saying that it's

13:57the generating massive turbo cancers prostate cancers uh ovarian cancers breast cancers are skyrocketing from

14:05people who took like you have a 67 percent greater impact potentially of getting some

14:11form of cancer if you've had three jabs or more oh that's a lie that's

14:15not that's bad science and then what we now know is the entirety of the

14:19fauci cover -ups and his emails and the balfour declaration and all this other maybe

14:25not balfour what was it it was not that it was it was the lancet

14:28paper right that that came back and and all these uh very accredited scientists who

14:35said no we need to look at this differently and they came back no you're

14:38full of it you're lying and we know that was a cover -up so that

14:42was the gateway i think where people really began to understand now you can go

14:46down the deeper dive and you can look at russiagate which is a fundamental coup

14:51soft coup that took place against president trump everybody in his cabinet that went on

14:57for years and it didn't stop i mean look at 2020 right what happened after

15:022020 man the guy was uh the election fraud and i've been covering that and

18:05doing for social convenience and social responsibilities and social relationships, improve social and mental health.

18:12All lie. We know that now.

18:15They were involved in that.

18:17Immigration. Immigration is the best thing for America.

18:19We need people to pick our fruit and to clean our toilets.

18:25And without them, it wouldn't happen.

18:27Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right?

18:29So we, what? We let 20 million people in.

18:31What does that do to our educational system, our medical systems, our insurance system, the

18:35fraud that now exists? We've seen with Shirley's in, in Minnesota and Maine, California, the

18:42homeless problem at every level at every place.

18:45And then my favorite is the, the absolute gaslighting and lies that took place to

18:50cover up the fact that Biden was a frigging vegetable and the auto pen.

18:55How many people like he, we know out of all the pardons, there was one

18:59pardon that he actually signed and over the 8 ,000 pardons that he had.

19:03And there's theories out there that the pardons allegedly were being sold to people as

19:09well too. Lies on top of lies on top of lies, right?

19:15And now the ultimate, which just continues and it's the Epstein files.

19:21Anybody telling you or trying to tell you that it was not that bad, right?

19:27And anybody affiliated, man, it's just guilt by association, right?

19:32I might agree to that in some capacity prior to 06 or 05, but anything

19:38after that is an absolute sham.

19:42This guy was a convicted sexual predator of young girls.

19:46If you had any relationship with him whatsoever, fundamentally for business or whatever, you lied

19:53to yourself in order to get ahead, period, because of his skill sets.

20:00And he's not just some wealthy, whatever.

20:02Now we know the whole aspect of his background was a lie, who he worked

20:06for, how he got the jobs, all that manipulated, right?

20:10Lies. And now we just see the unfathomable lies taking place with the government and

20:19the DOJ right now, basically covering up for pedophiles.

20:24I mean, if you listen to Sean's rant that came out the other day to

20:28has millions and millions and millions of views, and now they're attacking him.

20:32They're calling him a liar.

20:34Oh, you're a CIA guy, you're a plant, whatever.

20:37But if you're protecting or justifying in any way, shape or form, a pedophile, you

20:46are lying to yourself. And if you're lying to yourself that it's acceptable to interact

20:51with those people or support them or to distract the severity from it in some

20:56capacity, then at the base of your lie is evil.

21:03Pure and simple. It's just what it is.

21:06You can't justify pedophilia. You can't walk it back.

21:12You can't sugarcoat it. You can't lighten the impact of it.

21:16You can't do any of that.

21:17And if you get to the, I think everybody's willing to get to a point

21:21that say, oh yeah, he, he was trafficking girls.

21:24Then let's just stop there and say, well, where are the people he trafficked the

21:29girls to? Oh, there's no evidence of that.

21:32It's just porn, but lies, redactions, lies, the whole thing.

21:36And that's coming out. And it's going to continue to come out.

21:41And at some point you have to make the correlation that the level of lying

21:45that's taken place is a derivative.

21:48are rooted in what is evil all right now before i get into the main

21:54reason that provoked this which is this book right here you can't for video you

21:58can watch it for sure but it's called people of the lie the hope for

22:02healing human evil by m scott peck dr m scott peck and he was the

22:09author of the road less traveled there you know 10 million bestseller well this was

22:13his book that really got me right because what he was able to do was

22:17correlate the the the the regularity of lying to to evil and he did it

22:24in a very sophisticated and scientific way i believe but there was also a level

22:28of theology that's in there too and i probably think that that's what you know

22:34is able to uh people are able to quell the importance of the book a

22:39little bit right now there's another component too right lying we learn from a very

22:44early age we learn it uh i mean from basically ages two to three right

22:50and i i did a little research on this on where it starts right and

22:53and this is emerges as a normative part of child development right um you know

23:00and it's it's a lot of uh uh child development specialists like this is a

23:05part like this is you're actually looking for your child to start lying as a

23:09as a an observable uh component of like a milestone right other than a bad

23:16than a problematic behavior and you know when you start to see this taking place

23:23right and and you know from two to eight right with about 20 to 30

23:28percent of children attempting similar deceptions right and these aren't great lies they're just like

23:33did you eat that cookie no but you know like you can see it emerging

23:38they're trying to frame out that tit -for -tat game playing with with other kids

23:43free play the whole thing and and there's a lot of uh documentation that that

23:47that's what you're looking for you're looking for kids to emerge in that that structure

23:53right when even in preschoolers when when lying actually peaks right and prevalence prevalence right

24:01with about 80 to 90 percent of children uh understanding the concept of lying and

24:05engaging in it regularly right now some studies show that kids at this age lie

24:11about one to two times per hour in social interactions right and these are like

24:17these are settings that are kind of non -structured settings it's just like social exchanges

24:24teacher exchanges parental exchanges right it's right there right well it you know with the

24:29school age six to twelve it stabilizes a little bit about 50 to 70 percent

24:35lie occasionally with rates in higher situations involving peers and authority right you lie to

24:40get out of trouble right did you did you bully that person i didn't do

24:45that no hell no because you knew the social um exclusion or or or the

24:51the labeling you as in some negative way you got to protect yourself from that

24:56right and then in adolescence man line frequency is is lower overall than in younger

25:02children right and some of that is is social anxiety which provokes that and i

25:07think that begins to uh um uh manifest its way at a lot a little

25:12bit of more of a deeper level as the older you get now uh factors

25:16uh that are influencing a lot of this uh parenting right authoritative styles reduce anti

25:24-social lying um you know cultural influences right uh uh and and many collectivist societies

25:32uh encourage pro -social lies right uh cognitive ability uh better executive function correlates with

25:41more effective lying right if you learn how to manipulate someone's emotions you can lie

25:46at a higher degree right you know there are are a bunch of key mechanisms

25:54and benefits right right there's a cognitive and social skill development right right and that

26:00goes back to the idea of this this theory of of mind right and the

26:05theory of of of of mind is a a very interesting um concept to think

26:12about and that's where you can think about thinking about others and how it affects

26:16you um and you know that's a that's a powerful moment for um for people

26:24right um and to give you a better definition of this theory of mind or

26:29tom is a foundational concept in cognitive psychology and developmental science referring to the ability

26:35to recognize and attribute mental states such as beliefs desires intentions emotions and knowledge to

26:42oneself and others and to understand that these mental states can differ from one's own

26:48uh or from objective reality and enables individuals to predict and interpret behavior in social

26:56contexts essentially showing us to read minds by inferring what others might be thinking or

27:02feeling a key aspect and when when line plays a role in that development right

27:10um pro -social line and social hire uh harmony right these you They're the little

27:16white lies we tell. Oh, you know, how do I look, honey?

27:19Oh, you look great, sweetie.

27:21That shirt's very becoming on you.

27:24Or, hey, sweetie, don't I look great?

27:26I lost two pounds. Oh, baby, you look phenomenal.

27:30You look phenomenal. Or you're, hey, son, you know, how you doing in school?

27:35I'm killing it, dad. I'm doing great.

27:37Well, I saw your report card and it seems you're challenged.

27:40Yeah, but that teacher's horrible.

27:42They don't like me, right?

27:45All these little to create a harmony of impact or, you know, telling people what

27:52that you think they want to hear that doesn't provoke, right, that contempt or resentment

28:00that can emerge out of knowing the truth about what people think about you, right?

28:04There's a moral and emotional growl.

28:06Lying helps children grapple with morality.

28:08There's an assimilation challenge in moderators, while adaptive, excessive, and antisocial lying can hinder assimilation

28:14if it erodes trust. Parenting influencing this, responsive, authoritative styles encourage pro -social lying and

28:21reduce harmful ones by modeling honesty, right?

28:24And that's the thing we really want to think about, right?

28:28And I think that's the heart of what Dr.

28:32Peck gets to in the people of the lie.

28:34Now, Dr. Peck's an interesting cat, right?

28:37Grew up, wealthy family, you know, attended Phillips Exeter Academy, a very prestigious prep school.

28:46We beat them in football when I went to Choate, so to hell with you,

28:49Phillips Exeter Academy. Plus, I couldn't get in there.

28:51That's a whole nother thing.

28:53You know, and so, you know, he had this profound pressure put him on him

28:59by his parents to succeed, and then they kind of shipped him off to the

29:02school, right? He ended up getting a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard.

29:06He went to Case Western School of Medicine, attaining his doctorate in 63, right?

29:11Then he went on to serve in the military, and I found this was interesting,

29:15where he specialized in psychiatry, and he rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel.

29:19Now, he was stationed all over the place and later worked for the Surgeon General

29:24in Washington, D .C., and these roles exploded into a wide range of mental health

29:30issues among service members, influencing his later views on human evil, group dynamics, and personal

29:36responsibility. Because remember, this was during the 60s and 70s, and what we have, we

29:40had post -World War II challenges, post -Korea challenges, and then we had the magnitude

29:45of the Vietnam War, which led into the anti -war, counterculture, the civil rights movement,

29:49all this taking place during this very unsettling time, where again, during this time, people

29:56felt that there was a lot of lying going on, and the cause root of

30:01that was evil. And so he was studying all this and evaluating, plus he had

30:07his own clientele, right? And, you know, he broke out of the whole thing after

30:13his military career, and he wrote the book, The Road Less Traveled, A New Psychology

30:17of Love, Traditional Values, and Spiritual Growth.

30:20Like I said, 10 million copies.

30:22But then he began to shift, and he wrote this book, The People of Lies,

30:27all right? You know, the interesting thing about Peck was that he really tried to

30:35aggregate his scientific analysis through a theological prism.

30:41And what he ended up, you know, coming to recognize was that, you know, evil

30:50is fundamentally a different form, is different from mental illness, right?

30:58Mental illness is something that you can't really control.

31:02You're kind of, you're either born into it or you develop it for some, but

31:05it's treatable and you can get out of it, whereas he believes that, you know,

31:11you know, evil, you know, is very different than neurosis, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, which

31:19are all involuntary and treatable, right?

31:21What he believes is that evil individuals, by contrast, are fully seen, and they're aware

31:27of their actions, right? And I want you, when I'm saying this, think about the

31:31people you've seen lying to you on line or lying to your face or lying

31:37about certain things they believe in, right?

31:40Right? Because they're sane and they're aware of their actions and choose to lie to

31:44themselves and others to avoid personal growth and accountability.

31:49And what Peck, Dr. Peck calls this, is militant ignorance, a willful ignorance, right?

31:56And you're not going to budge, you believe what you believe for whatever reason, and

32:01you don't care what the impact of that lie is going to do to the

32:06people around you, whether it's your children, your spouse, your colleagues, church friends, your social

32:13scene, whatever it is, politically, you don't care because the point is to self -grandize

32:21it, the grandization, or that's not the right word, grandization, right?

34:45Unlike ordinary narcissism, which involves self -centeredness and a fragile ego, but can allow for

34:52empathy and change, evil manifests itself as a malignant narcissism, where the person maintains an

35:01unassailable self -image by scapegoating, projecting flaws onto others and destroying the lives physically and

35:10spiritually without remorse, right? Evil, right?

35:13And this is what he also says.

35:15Evil, however, is a sin hardened into persistent pattern of denial, which is often cloaked

35:22in normalcy or piety, leading to a refusal to submit to higher truths or what

35:27in his world to submit to God's sovereignty over us and that moral framework that

35:32exists within that, right? Seek and ye shall find.

35:35That's what Christ tells us.

35:37Within Christ is the truth of your own sin.

35:41Now, you know, this book is really interesting.

35:46You know, there's seven different sections of this thing and he uses case studies.

35:53There's one incredible case study that he talks about a mother and father buy a

35:58gun. They have two sons.

35:59They buy a little 22 for one of their sons.

36:01Their sons, one son kills himself with the gun and then they gift the same

36:06gun to the brother for Christmas and justify the gift as not wasting money or

36:13whatever. So the brother is going through hell because his brother just killed himself.

36:17He doesn't understand. Then they give the gun that he killed himself to the brother

36:22almost as like an underlying subconscious reality.

36:25Here, now it's your turn to kill yourself.

36:27And that's what I know the boy ended up kind of thinking, right?

36:30So thus in lies, them lying to themselves about the reasoning or rationalization about turning

36:37the gun over with your brother just got kid and giving it to you, right?

36:41And the lies affiliated with the justification of that action, right?

36:48You know, he also gets into in this book, right?

36:51The different ways that people, there's one guy in the case study who makes, who

36:56justifies his lying, his behavior, his negative behavior, his manipulative behavior by saying, I made

37:02a pact with the devil.

37:04And so I have to do this.

37:07It's built into me. I can't turn it down.

37:10I have these visions of this voice telling me I have to do this, right?

37:14You're like, well, create another voice that says you shouldn't do that, right?

37:20And that was an interesting one.

37:22There's a couple he describes where people were actually under the influence of demonic and,

37:27you know, possession, right? And he used to do that.

37:34He used to interview people that claim they were under demonic possession, right?

37:39Well, when you go through the full idea of this book, and this is, this

37:45is, remember, in relation to what you're witnessing right now all over the place, all

37:49around you, right? He says that psychology resists religious views of evil, right?

37:57Dangers include judgmental misuse. Evil confuses must, and we must judge wisely for what can

38:06heal us, right? And again, evil is different from mental illness.

38:11right? Which is medical, right?

38:13And, and by its moral roots, narcissism, which is, you know, within the self by

38:19societal is causes societal harm and that's the sin, right?

38:24But it's that militant justification of, of, of lying that really is at the core

38:30of, of what his argument this is, right?

38:34So, you know, what I recommend is, is go buy this book and then, and

38:40then start to evaluate the level or the spectrum of lies that you're experiencing or

38:46seeing or what you're feeling on a day in a day of business.

38:50Now, again, I just want to let you know that everybody lies, right?

38:56There's, there's none of us that are escaped from the sin of lying.

39:00And the challenge is, is it, is it more indicative of what the similar constructs

39:06of the lies we learned in our youth that we apply in our, our adult

39:10lives, right? Is that more line, most of what's taking place?

39:15And yeah, I went up and did some research on some really great studies about

39:19lying. This one study in 96 by this guy, DiPaolo, lying in everyday life.

39:25And this was published in the journal of personality and social psychology, right?

39:30And this guy, there were two samples, 77 college students and 70 community members and

39:36non -students aged 21 to 91.

39:39The participants recorded all social interactions lasting 10 minutes or longer over a week, noting

39:45any lies told defined as intentionally misleading somebody and details like the targets, gender relationship,

39:53closeness, lie type, self -centered versus other oriented.

39:57They describe it, the seriousness, the planning of it and the discomfort, right?

40:02And what they found was fascinating.

40:05Key findings revealed that lying is a common, but not overwhelming part of daily life

40:11for most within this, this group, right?

40:14College students reported telling about two lies per day and roughly one third of their

40:19interactions while community members reported one lie per day and about one fifth of interaction.

40:25Most lies were self -centered, which meant they benefited the lie, the person telling the

40:30lie to avoid embarrassment or gain approval or gain approval, outnumbering the up, the other,

40:38and this is other oriented lies, which benefited others.

40:41Example, uh, to square or to spare someone's feelings, right?

40:47By a two to one ratio overall.

40:49However, in female to female dyads, other oriented lies were equally common.

40:55Participants told more self -centered lies to men and more other oriented lies to women.

41:01Lies were generally minor, unplanned and not regretted and not regretted.

41:07Remember that participants rarely worried about detection and viewed them as part of a smooth

41:12social functioning rather than moral breaches.

41:16The study concluded that lying serves as an everyday social lubricant influenced by gender and

41:24relationship dynamics, challenging views of deceptions as rare or always malicious.

41:30Okay. So saying, all that is to say this, we are conditioned to accept lies

41:36as a regular part of our interaction.

41:39It's just built in and I get that.

41:42And that is what it is, but there's another aspect, right?

41:45A deeper, it's where they start to go to another level, right?

41:49And there's another study that I came across, which was by Serata, uh, the prevalence

41:56of lying in America, three studies of self -reported lies.

42:00And in this, in the human of communication research, the study challenged prior estimates of

42:04daily line frequency through three investigations.

42:08Survey one, 1 ,000 U .S.

42:10adults nationally via phone asking for lies told in the past 24 hours.

42:15Study two, reanalyzed the Palos, the earlier study I just quoted, diary data.

42:21Study three used 298 college students in a similar self -report.

42:25Findings showed that lying is less frequent and more skewed than thought.

42:30In study one, 60 % reported zero lies with a mean of 1 .65, 6

42:37.65 lies per day. 5 % of participants were the prolific liars accounted for 46

42:44% of all lies. Prolific liars average six to seven lies a day, often serious

42:50ones. Reanalysis of the Palo data confirmed the skew, meaning one to two lies, but

42:55many zero lie days. Students in a study three mirrored this with extraversion and low

43:02self -esteem linked to prolific lying.

43:04The authors concluded that lying follows a power law distribution.

43:09Not normal. Most people are honest most days, but a few prolific liars inflate averages.

43:16Okay. What does that mean in conclusion?

43:18All right. What that means in conclusion is there is a group of people, a

43:23small group of people that have about 5 % as you look at these studies.

43:29And I believe this directly correlates to the three to 5 % of the population

43:33that are psychopathic, i .e.

43:36evil, if you will. Oh, my god.

43:38Oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah.

43:38right? And then we've got about 15 to 20%, 15 that are sociopathic, right?

43:44And then there's a component that have, most of us have sociopathic tendencies, right?

43:50And that's all correlated to the level with which we lie and feel comfortable about

43:54it. Well, here's the deal, right?

44:01People are going to lie no matter what.

44:04It's just built in. But the problem is when a certain select group of people

44:09who are comfortable with that militant concept of lying or that significantly more advanced level

44:19of narcissism that emerges into the dark triad, because once you get a taste for

44:27what the lie produces, i .e.

44:30power, wealth, fame, importance, then it becomes, right, where's the regulation that's going to take

44:38place? Where are the people around you going to check you?

44:42Well, everybody knows that people that are psychopathic or sociopathic, they don't have long -term

44:47relationships because they're constantly lying.

44:50And the people who usually come into those spheres of influence are looking for their

44:55own advancement, their own manipulation so that they can rise to the upper echelons of

45:00that spectrum of ambition or accomplishment.

45:04And how do they do it?

45:05By lying to the liars themselves to try and gain access, right, to the ecosystem

45:13of elite liars or evil people so that they can participate in that game.

45:21That's just the reality of how this whole thing works.

45:24If you think it doesn't, I challenge you over and over to prove this wrong,

45:29right? And I think what you're experiencing is the recognition that lies that we're being

45:35told are not just simple lies, right?

45:40These are lies that are rooted in evil.

45:42All you got to do is read some of those emails that have been released

45:46or dig into some of these stories about how we've been manipulated to accept things

45:52that aren't really true or how we're constantly being called out if we notice something

45:59or we highlight some abnormality in what people are saying or who they really are,

46:10right? Because that's taking place right now.

46:12So what I want you to do is I want you to arm yourself with

46:17the understanding of the prevalence of this that takes place in society because it's the

46:23truth that brings light to the lie, right?

46:27So whatever you think, whatever side you are, you want to choose to be on,

46:33what I would recommend is you choose the side that's not the psychopathic evil of

46:38lying. You choose the side that's rooted in the free exchange of truth, right?

46:46Because at the end of the day, when we speak the truth, we become better

46:50ourselves because then we're facing the hard constructive criticism and recognition of things that we

46:57need to change or grow from in our own souls.

47:02And that's what Christ wants us to do, right?

47:05That's what Christ, we want to grow.

47:07We want to accept our sin as a reality that drives us to be more

47:12honest with ourselves about who we are and how we impact others in the hopes

47:18that we can manipulate or shape or cajole or maybe get rid of those words

47:24and say, grow or improve or strengthen or harden our steadfast commitment to the truth.

47:36That's what I think we should do is all focus on the truth wherever that

47:41takes us in whatever scenario.

47:44And then at least when we get to the truth, that's what we can decide

47:49what to do with evil.
