3:52Speaking of changing in real time, the situation at the airport looks like ICE riding

3:59to the rescue of TSA.

6:19it is gentlemen start your engines it is accelerator it is not well uh you

6:25know very important people make decisions about the value of your contribution immediately and they've

6:32basically come to a conclusion within the first 10 seconds as to whether you sound

6:38like you know what the heck is going on that's a side note media training

6:41for the day that we weren't planning for our esteemed callers but there you go

6:45um but i bring all that up about ice because we are scheduled to have

6:49tom homan on in the third hour of the program so you got to stick

6:52with us here we're going to cover a lot of news we're going to get

6:54to tom homan uh we also we have senator we have senator cassidy joining us

6:58too is am i right in that one uh yes yes senator cassidy joining us

7:02as well and maybe surprise guests maybe invites out yeah something pretty interesting going on

7:08we're spicing it up with the guests these days and uh let's just say we

7:13are willing to reach across the aisle plenty plenty of reaching across the aisle so

7:18with that all said uh we will dive into the situation of ice at the

7:22airports with tom homan also immigration enforcement operations one of the most important i would

7:27perhaps argue after keeping the economy booming uh the most important promise of the trump

7:32administration tom is the guy he is the man he is the one who we

7:37want to ask all these questions to so we will have him for you but

7:40clay let's start with trump commander in chief and his department of war here looking

7:46at all of the latest and if you go with the uh with with the

7:50wall street journal saying here iran playing hardball mediators push for talks with the u

7:55.s um the iranians have received a 15 point plan from us to end the

8:03war which is basically lays out all the trump administration demands tehran is saying they

8:10reject the proposal and have put out their own conditions for a deal including reparations

8:17and recognition of iranian sovereignty over the strait of hormuz you got arab states are

8:26alarmed by trump's eagerness to do a deal according to the wall street journal here

8:29leaders of saudi arabia uae lobbying trump to stick with the war until iran is

8:34sufficiently weakened clay this has we have military supremacy but this is now turning into

8:40a contest of wills influenced by political pressures here and abroad i don't believe that

8:49iran has any ability to make any demands whatsoever and um i actually i can't

8:55believe this buck but i'm going to give credit to the new york times this

8:58morning uh because i was reading the new york times editorial page and they actually

9:03have an editorial saying things are going really good in iran and many people just

9:09don't really understand or are unwilling to uh discuss how things are going this is

9:17by brett stevens the headline buck is the war is going better than you think

9:23new york times editorial today uh and this is a great open and i think

9:29it's important i can't believe i'm giving credit to new york times but i read

9:32them every day and so sometimes i read something i say well i wasn't really

9:36expecting this opening paragraph of the editorial page of new york times today from this

9:41article most americans probably don't look back at march of 2012 if they remember it

9:47at all and think of terrifyingly high gas prices in the month when the hunger

9:53games ruled the box office and president barack obama was on his way to a

9:58comfortable re -election this is interesting buck the price of brent crude closed the month

10:04around 123 dollars a barrel that would be about 175 dollars a barrel in today's

10:13dollars right now the price of oil and gas a barrel 88 dollars uh and

10:20that is basically roughly 95 dollars in adjusted inflation um you know numbers so perspective

10:32on the price of oil and gas it is cheaper today than it has been

10:37for much of the 21st century when adjusted for inflation and the reason why i

10:42bring it up and i thought it was a good editorial is the only thing

10:46you can say negative about this action in iran so far is the oil prices

10:52because that actual casualties he runs through brett stevens does a really good job talking

10:57about all the military actions and the loss of material and the loss of men

11:02is virtually non -existent then you also have this shocker from over on ms now

11:09the newly rebranded msnbc yes where clay my boy as i saw this morning i

11:17thought about you yes this this is pretty wild everybody joe scarborough you know in

11:23a random moment of sanity deciding to really rake chuck schumer over the coals for

11:32a minute on this one mika tried to come in she's like no stop i

11:34love schumer stop it stop it and joe's like i can't honey i'm sorry i've

11:39got to be tough here but joe saying look isn't it a good thing that

11:44the worst terrorist regime on the planet has had its entire military apparatus destroyed with

11:50incredibly low level of loss from the united states side play cut one listen to

11:56this exchange no hold a second you gotta answer my question first yeah is it

12:00a good thing that that iran i think you would agree with me epicenter of

12:04terrorism in the world since 1979 is it good that their military infrastructure is being

12:10degraded to the degree that it is yes or no it's it's you can't because

12:13it's a premature question what is going to happen in the next several months no

12:17no i can ask that question i said no no no i can't i can't

12:20so you have a military side that i can show you my chart but it

12:24was i i think i threw it away you have the military side you have

12:27the political side i'm simply asking on the military side is it good regardless of

12:33whether we agree with going in or not is it good that iran's military infrastructure

12:39has been seriously again i have to tell you joe first you can't what's going

12:45to happen three months from now is it worth it what's going to happen will

12:49the world economy collapse will something happen even worse will the whole energy infrastructure of

12:56the world go up in smoke clay can we just what what a weaselly little

13:01position schumer say well what do we do in three months what happens in 10

13:06years in the long run we're all dead you're like hold on a second this

13:10is a very straightforward question are you chuck schumer happy that iran is getting its

13:16military's ass kicked thoroughly and chuck schumer will not say yes that's the democrats in

13:22a nutshell basically buck they do not have a military anymore and so the question

13:28is chuck schumer who claims to be a friend of israel is it better or

13:32worse that iran has no ability whatsoever to have a navy and air force or

13:38effectively any ballistic missiles that they can launch anywhere and increasingly fewer and fewer drones

13:44and chuck schumer doesn't have an answer and your boy joe scarborough has signed a

13:48contract extension through 2029 so you got several more years to be able to uh

13:53to listen to that melodic tone of joe scarborough and i do think we haven't

13:58talked about this a great deal but iran managed to fire a couple of missiles

14:02that traveled nearly to europe um and it was about twice as far as the

14:08range that they claimed they had the ability to to reach there's also again new

14:14york times couple of different stories there's a big article that crown prince uh uh

14:18of saudi arabia mbs has been encouraging more strikes from president trump on iran uh

14:27and so i just i look at all this and as we are coming up

14:31on three weeks or whatever it's been buck i don't think this operation could have

14:36gone much better now again i wish 13 people hadn't lost their lives but this

14:41same uh article that i talked about in the new york times and i'm giving

14:45them credit um it it takes us back do you remember uh when we had

14:50the uh uh 1991 operation desert storm which is considered uh as he says one

14:57of the most brilliant military successes of the united states the u .s lost 75

15:03aircraft 42 of them in combat for those of you who remember back in 1991

15:09operation desert storm so far we have lost four manned aircraft three to friendly fire

15:17one in an accident not a single one of our planes has been knocked down

15:21by iran considered to be the greatest military operation for those of you remember it

15:26in most of our lives operation desert storm was infinitely infinitely more destructive to our

15:34material and our casualties and here's another one buck most people don't even talk about

15:38the invasion of panama the united states lost 23 soldiers 325 more wounded uh in

15:46the invasion of panama back in 1989 1990 most people don't even remember that it

15:51was a higher casualty event so far than what we have done to iran i

15:56think it's important to contextualize all of these things and understand that the attacks on

16:02the success of this operation are entirely political and in no way justified by what

16:08the actual on the ground result has been so far and i think buck that's

16:12why when chuck schumer was asked about it he had to immediately go into well

16:17we don't know what the long -range impact of course not anything me lord We

16:21don't know what the long -range impact of anything is.

16:23We don't know what the long -range impact of Trump's election in 2024 was.

16:28We don't know what the long -range impact of Obama's eight years.

16:32It takes 100 years to find out exactly what the long -range impact is, but

16:37we try to judge things currently based on the data we have, and all of

16:41that is extremely positive. Well, you know, I just, this would be like if someone

16:46asked Chuck Schumer, you know, hey, this guy just won the lottery, and it's going

16:50to change his life forever financially.

16:51Isn't that a great thing?

16:52Schumer's like, well, that depends.

16:53It could put stress on his family.

16:56Maybe he makes a purchase of a boat, and the boat gets into a big

17:00accident, and then he wishes he didn't even have that money.

17:04Okay, man, I think winning the lottery is usually a good thing for people.

17:07You know, at least they're happy to have some money.

17:09Can we just agree on that?

23:36continues to be just tons of issues with backups at tsa in particular it seems

23:45to me to be houston atlanta jfk in the new york city area and new

23:51orleans is where i would say the most uh chaos appears to be going on

23:58uh but i bet this houston passenger bucket would not surprise me if she's listening

24:04to the program on a somewhat regular basis she was interviewed and asked as she

24:10stood in line by the way did you see the the video of bill bar

24:13in houston former attorney general standing in a three -hour line to get through tsa

24:18that went viral this morning uh the former attorney general of the united states just

24:22standing there with his bag for three hours this woman houston airport passenger asked what

24:29she thinks about the tsa wait this is what she had to say an 11

24:34a .m flight what has it been like terrible what do you want congress to

24:40know who have the ability to shut this down and reopen and have tsa agents

24:46come back to work i think chuck schumer should be ashamed of himself if you

24:52couldn't hear it that well it sounds like she's being interviewed on a tarmac but

24:55it's actually inside i think chuck schumer should be ashamed of himself she said as

25:02they are uh as they are standing outside there um and uh i just i

25:08feel fortunate i want to say i mentioned this yesterday uh transportation tsa at nashville

25:14phenomenal zero issues i flew back from jacksonville phenomenal zero issues i know so many

25:21of these tsa agents are showing up it's not every airport but buck you were

25:24talking about this you got family like do you even want to try in new

25:29york do you even want to try to fly out of a new york airport

25:32at this time or houston or atlanta or new orleans i would if you don't

25:36have to travel i think a lot of people are just saying this is not

25:39worth it yeah if you're going to do a family visit like my family that

25:42you can postpone for a couple of weeks for example or maybe more if necessary

25:45that's probably a good move if you're going somewhere for the weekend and you don't

25:50want to wait in line for three hours into you because remember it's it's not

25:53just the way it's not like you're waiting in the uh centurion lounge or something

25:57you know having some uh miso soup and uh having people give you a back

26:03rub or whatever they got going on in there nope it's it's some rough stuff

26:06so that's that's bad absolutely miserable uh look it's also uh buck said rough stuff

26:14i mean every single day headlines more missiles being fired by iran into israel and

26:21so many people all over israel of all different faiths frankly are forced to run

26:27to bomb shelters and hide out there as indiscriminate firing rains down on israel iran

26:33isn't targeting attacks they're just firing in every direction that they can and hoping to

27:15things here here on what is going on with iran the the status of the

27:21negotiations the status of this conflict as it stands right now and let's jump into

27:26it first of all trump is is claiming this is cut three he says straight

27:31up the war is won now it's just a question of how long we push

27:35what we get what the negotiations are how much more pain the iranians want to

27:40suffer for their military and look for the iranian people too uh this is cut

27:44three play it well i think we're going to end it i can't tell you

27:48for sure you know i don't like to say this we've won this with this

27:52war has been won the only one that likes to keep it going is the

27:55fake news i mean the new york times you read the new york times it's

27:58like we're not winning a war where they have no navy and they have no

28:01air force and they have no nothing and we literally have planes flying over tehran

28:06and other parts of their country they can't do a thing about it he also

28:11said this was interesting clay that he received this cut to a big present from

28:17the iranians better make a deal they did something yesterday that was amazing actually they

28:22gave us a present and the president arrived today there was a very big present

28:29worth a tremendous amount of money and i'm not going to tell you what that

28:33present is so that meant one thing to me would deal with the right people

28:36no it wasn't nuclear related it was oil and gas related clay we're getting snippets

28:45here and there i'm guessing they have told him that they're going to allow the

28:49transit of ships through the strait of hormuz because again the price of oil and

28:55gas has come back quite a bit it's 88 right now a barrel as i

29:00was reading earlier uh that is lower than the average cost of a barrel of

29:06oil and gas has been on average for the 21st century when you adjust for

29:12for inflation and it's lower straight up than it was a few years ago under

29:18joe biden and so um i i just think that um i gave him a

29:24credit you know he made fun of the new york times a little bit there

29:27in his statement but i give credit to the new york times in this editorial

29:30because they run through and point out that honestly this military action could not be

29:36going much better and anytime i say something like that obviously i wish every military

29:41action could be completed without any loss of life at all but if you compare

29:47as i just did uh past military actions for instance in uh panama and in

29:55desert storm both of these actions are far more efficient and contain far less loss

30:02of life than this so far um and uh i just think i mean when

30:10you look at the overall way that this is going the media has tended go

30:16figure to cover this in a negative way and look i mean we have said

30:22this venezuela went so well i saw buck did you see this story this morning

30:26it's barely getting any attention it should get a lot venezuela just increased oil production

30:33by the most that it has in seven years in the past month let me

30:38repeat that the most oil and gas that venezuela has produced since 2019 just happened

30:44uh i saw again media coverage the rate of violent crime in venezuela has collapsed

30:52and you know things are going well in venezuela because there's very limited coverage of

30:59how things are going in venezuela we have a bad news bias and uh that

31:04bad news bias means that a lot of people are not fairly looking at the

31:09way things are currently uh currently shaking out so um i i don't think things

31:16in iran could be going much better now here's my thought buck and i'm curious

31:20how you would analyze this part of the iranian negotiations now iran has come out

31:26they said that this uh through uh through reporting they are nervous about trump because

31:32twice he has bamboozled them where they thought they were negotiating and instead he popped

31:40them he did it in june uh of last year when remember he said hey

31:45i'm gonna give him a deadline and then he hit before the deadline was up

31:49and caught him by surprise and seems to have had a great deal of success

31:53on that june attack and then also we took out the ayatollah while they thought

32:00on a saturday that israel and the united states were not going to take any

32:04actions at all and so i feel like trump is trying to trick him again

32:10a little bit of subterfuge i think it's likely that he is setting the table

32:16to potentially take over carj island this weekend and the reason why he said they

32:22have five days to to get a peace deal done is one it calms the

32:26markets because the markets are primarily traded and open monday to friday but it wouldn't

32:31stun me at all if they don't play ball if he decides hey i'm going

32:36to go in so he simultaneously got the carrot and the stick and if things

32:41go well in negotiations okay we're going to take the care carrot hand.

32:44If things don't go well, boom, we're going to hit them hard again.

32:47And that could include taking over Karj Island.

32:50And much like we did with Venezuela, trying to be in control completely of the

32:55oil and gas aspects of Iran, like we basically are in Venezuela.

32:59You buy into that analogy.

33:01It's people are like, oh, Trump is sending inconsistent messages.

33:04No, he's just letting it know, hey, I've got two fists.

33:08One has a carrot. One has a stick.

33:10Your choice, which one I decide to deploy.

33:13Maybe Trump hits you with the carrot and stick at the same time.

33:16You never know. He is a different cat.

33:21He's a different character out there.

33:23That is one thing I think everybody knows at this point, by the way, on

33:26how this air campaign is going.

33:28Secretary of War, Hank, Seth, this is cut for he said the following.

33:31Play it. The air campaign that we've conducted, that Israel's conducted alongside us was one

33:37for the history books, truly.

33:39That's because we have a president of the United States that when he sends his

33:41warfighters out to fight, he unties their hands to actually go out and close with

33:46and destroy the enemy as viciously as possible from moment one.

33:49And that's why we see ourselves as part of this negotiation as well.

33:52We negotiate with bombs. You have a choice as we loiter over the top of

33:56Tehran, as the president talked about, about your future.

33:58President has made it clear that you will not have a nuclear weapon.

34:01The War Department agrees. Our job is to ensure that.

34:03And so we're keeping our hand on that throttle as long as it's hard as

34:07is necessary to ensure the interest of the United States of America are achieved.

34:13Reminds me a little bit, Clay, of our friend Stephen Miller's favorite movie, Bloodsport, which

34:19is a classic of the martial arts genre.

34:22Jean -Claude Van Damme as Frank Dukes in the Kumite, which is the martial arts

34:29combat. It was all filmed, actually, this part of Hong Kong that is now gone.

34:33It got rid of it.

34:33I think it's called like the Hidden City or something within Hong Kong.

34:36It's kind of like a slum, but really cool movie.

34:39But when he fights the main bad guy played by Bolo Young, another excellent martial

34:44artist from that genre, it's not enough for Van Damme to just kick the bad

34:49guy's ass. He wants him to say Matei, which is like crying uncle, essentially.

34:55I think that's what they're dealing with here with Trump a little bit.

34:58But it's, look, you guys can't fight us.

35:01We want this to stop.

35:03Here are the points you wanted to stop.

35:05But we can kind of keep the pressure on the elbow if you're not going

35:08to if you're not going to go forward with this.

35:10So it's your call. And they're just going to keep on keep on going until

35:14we get to an acceptable state of play here.

35:17And for a lot of people, they look at what Iran has done to the

35:20whole world, really. But what Iran has has represented as a country since 1979.

35:26And I feel like it's about time.

35:29And I think that's why 90 something percent of MAGA is with Trump on this.

35:3390 percent of Republicans are with Trump on this.

35:36Democrats, as we know, we can't even get Schumer to admit it's good that the

35:40IRGC doesn't have their toys to play with anymore.

35:43It's crazy. Buck, last year, and maybe we can pull this audio, Schumer was taunting

35:49Trump for chickening out and not being tough enough on Iran.

35:53Do you remember that? Producer Greg, if you can go grab that audio, I remember

35:58playing it. This was before the June attack happened last year.

36:03Schumer was saying, oh, Trump's a chicken.

36:05He's afraid to do anything to Iran.

36:08And now Trump has basically wiped out the entire Iranian military.

36:13And Joe Scarborough says, hey, is that a good or bad thing?

36:16And Schumer can't even answer.

36:18So just the degree to which Democrats, and we told you this was going to

36:24happen, have real difficulty in arguing against the military action because most of them have

36:30publicly said and admitted for a long time that Iran was a major threat.

36:34So what they focused on instead is oil and gas prices.

36:38But as oil and gas prices now are starting to back up and as even

36:43the New York Times is saying, hey, the war in Iran in an editorial that

36:46I just tweeted out that I would encourage you guys to read, the war in

36:49Iran is going better than you think.

36:53I think, again, to Chuck Schumer's point, they're going to be left with, well, we

37:00don't know the long range implications of this.

37:03And that's true. Or the long range impact.

37:06And that's true because predicting the future is hard.

37:08So we tend to focus on how things are going right now and how things

37:12are going right now is Trump is in the midst of executing one of the

37:15most successful military campaigns in the history of the United States.

37:20When you consider success versus failure, impact versus casualty, I'm not sure we've ever had

37:27a more successful military action.

37:30Now, how does it end?

37:31Those are questions that we've been asking from the get go.

37:34But I'm talking about analyzing in real time where we are.

37:37It's hard to for this to have gone, I think, much better.

46:33what goes through your mind i like it i mean i think trump's gonna hold

46:57democrats and in fact there's a recent story that chuck schumer's senate majority leader status

47:03senate minority leader started uh status sorry the senate democrat leadership uh that it's in

47:08peril because there is starting to be growing dissatisfaction with his opposition to trump and

47:14with the strategic choices that have been made and remember all of this had been

47:19resolved and then the shootings happened in minneapolis and democrats threw a fit uh and

47:25the airport lines are a direct result of them throwing that fit yeah they've made

47:31this whole thing they have manufactured the crisis uh and that's very apparent i think

47:37more so now than ever and it also just goes to democrats are willing to

47:41sabotage america if they're not in control of it democrats view of this country is

47:46if they can't have it no one can uh they are freaking out about this

47:51and uh i think that it's brilliant and i know we've been giving linda a

47:55lot of high fives but this deployment of ice because it also shows now hey

47:59this is working maybe the national guard deployment will also work and what are they

48:03going to say they deploy the national guard to the airports over covid remember this

48:09there's a national guard standing at the airport so that's right contact tracing point like

48:14this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen in my life and all the libs

48:17are like we need more national guard to fight the virus i'm like they're just

48:21gonna cough on me they're not fighting the virus what are we even doing that's

48:25a great point it's going to be very difficult for democrats who demanded the national

48:28guard be called out to airports lots of guys walking around with big guns to

48:33be upset to be combating a virus to be upset if the national guard gets

48:38called out to handle all of the major issues that currently exist at airports everywhere

48:43by the way if you're out there and you're in an airport right now if

48:47you're in houston if you're in atlanta uh if you are in jfk if you're

48:52in a place new orleans where it is bad where the issues are bad at

48:58the airport you can call in and give us a report from there like i

49:00said i flew out of nashville and jacksonville yesterday zero issues at all and thanks

49:06to everybody out out there that is currently working without pay for a very long

49:12time, unfortunately, as a TSA agent.
