3:11You're listening to the Tudor Dixon podcast.
3:13I'm Tudor Dixon and I wanted to chat a little bit about this amazing state
3:17of the union that we had but there was this mystery woman, the woman in
3:22red and all of a sudden on social media everybody was going crazy like who
3:26was the woman in red on the Democrat side and I loved it because I
3:30know this woman she's been to the state of Michigan she campaigned for the president
3:35in Michigan so she is personally very important to me.
3:38She is our Florida Congresswoman Kat Cammack.
3:41Thank you so much for joining me on the podcast today.
3:45Oh Tudor it's so good to see you and it's kind of crazy that it
3:48might be colder in Florida than it is in Michigan.
3:52I know. I actually my mom goes to Florida in the winter and she brags
3:56every winter and I'm like okay.
3:59She called the other day she's like what's the weather like here?
4:01I'm like it's like 75 which was a total lie and she's like okay it's
4:07you're lying but it has been cold there so but thank you for doing what
4:11you did I love what you did on the house floor because we were watching
4:17and I saw you I obviously knew who it was and it was it just
4:22struck me that there was this bright joy coming out of you on that side
4:28of the aisle. it was as you said the most incredible State of the Union
4:33speech I mean honestly the only way that that speech could have been better is
4:38if they had been blasting Freebird in the chamber and let an eagle fly through
4:43like that was that was the only way that that was going to get topped
4:47but it wasn't really a premeditated like well in advance thought out plan like hey
4:54I'm going to sit on the Democrat side it was more of like an hour
4:57before the State of the Union I started talking to my team and I'm like
5:01you know what there's there's all these people that you know they jockey for these
5:06positions in the chamber and you know our side's just going to be absolutely you
5:11know standing up sitting down standing up and you know it's just so sad that
5:14the Democrats are going to be sitting the whole time I'm like you know what
5:17somebody needs to get on their side and show them how to stand up and
5:21my team was like oh my gosh don't do that please don't do that and
5:24I was like oh I maybe go and I'll do that the right thing to
5:26do, guys. I'm going to do it.
5:27And I had members telling me not to do it.
5:31I had my team telling me not to do it.
5:33And in the end, I think the American people saw it for what it was.
5:38It was an expression of pure pride and joy for our amazing and exceptional nation.
5:43And, you know, when it comes to America, we shouldn't have sides.
5:47You're either with America or you're not.
5:49And we should be willing to rise to our feet rather than sit on our
5:53hands because, you know, the people are counting on us.
5:55So it was just such a great speech and such a great energy.
5:58You just gave me chills when you said that.
6:00I mean, because it's so true.
6:02And especially on a night like this where we see so many people.
6:06I love what the president is able to do when he brought the hockey team
6:09in, when he brings the helicopter pilot in.
6:12And you are honoring these people.
6:14And those are actually the people of the United States of America.
6:19They are the little kid that had a dream that made it.
6:22The man who fought for our country, the little girl who was in the accident
6:27and is fighting to get back to who she was after two years still fighting
6:32to walk. I mean, these are the real, real stories.
6:35They're not famous people. We've never seen them before.
6:38They are people that are just coming into the light.
6:41And the Democrats couldn't. They couldn't show any joy for that.
6:46That was shocking to me.
6:49Yeah, it's a pretty sad state of affairs when you have people in these positions,
6:54elected positions that are cheering for our country to fail more so than cheering for
7:00the man in the White House to succeed.
7:01That to me says far more about the radical left than it does anything about
7:08the president or Republicans or everyday Americans.
7:11I think they need to do some serious soul searching because this is what Americans
7:16are sick and tired of.
7:17They're sick and tired of the America last policies.
7:20They want to get to a place where we can all stand up in the
7:22chamber and cheer for the hockey team that just brought home gold.
7:26We should be able to stand up and cheer for an amazing soldier who fought
7:30in World War II, Vietnam and Korea, and is being awarded the Congressional Medal of
7:35Honor by the First Lady.
7:37We should be willing to come together and do that.
7:40But the fact that you still have people sitting on their hands, it's just it's
7:44so very sad. And I think the American people sought for what it is.
7:47And they'll remember when they go to the ballot, the ballot box in November.
7:51When we were little kids, we were told actions speak louder than words and your
7:55actions spoke louder than words.
7:57And I was so impressed with the because it is bold.
8:01And what people don't understand outside of politics is when your staff tells you something,
8:07when the other members are telling you something, it is really remarkable to stand against
8:12them and say, there's a moment in time here that we can show that we
8:16are together as a country.
8:17And there is not an aisle.
8:19There is not an aisle.
8:20And that was so powerful to me.
8:21But I want to ask you about what you just said, because you're talking about,
8:26you know, they are so Trump deranged.
8:28And we've talked about Trump derangement syndrome for such a long time.
8:31And they will say, we can't stand for him.
8:34But now we're coming to a point where in 2028, someone new will run for
8:40office. And I saw Gavin Newsom interviewed by Jen Psaki, and he did something that
8:45I went, oh, wow, that's how they continue this.
8:48Because even on the Republican side, I know that there are people that have gone,
8:53well, when we have somebody running in 2028, they won't be able to be mad
8:57because it won't be Trump.
8:58He said, she said to him, well, what do you think of 2028?
9:03They're talking about it being J .D.
9:05Vance or maybe Marco Rubio.
9:07And he said, that scares me even more.
9:09And I think you need to understand they're worse than Trump.
9:13And I was like, here it is.
9:14It's never going to for the people who think at some point they're going to
9:17say, oh, we're Republicans are welcome in the town square again.
9:21They will never do it.
9:22This is not a Trump thing.
9:24This is a Republican conservative values thing.
9:27They're going to keep going after us.
9:29And we have to fight to go on that other side of the aisle.
9:32Absolutely. I mean, I think that that us versus them mentality is what is really
9:37eroding the foundation that so many people have spilled blood in our nation's uniform to
9:43protect. I mean, we have to come together as Americans.
9:46I mean, anything short of that is just going to be rearranging the deck chairs
9:50on the on the Titanic, as far as I'm concerned, because our adversaries abroad, they
9:55are absolutely fostering this type of divide.
9:58They love seeing the chaos.
10:00They love seeing the two sides going at it.
10:03And I will tell you that looking ahead to the next state of the union,
10:07I'm going to be inviting Democrats to sit on the Republican side.
10:11I'm going to drag some of my Republican colleagues to the Democrat side, because that's
10:14what the American people need to see is one team, one mission.
10:18Look at what Russia is doing.
10:20Look at what China is doing.
10:21Look at what Venezuela up until that incredible.
10:25And I just have to say, we have the most amazing military in the world.
10:29Having that through the classified briefing and hearing in extreme detail what they went through.
10:35Oh, my gosh, I could cry thinking about how exceptional our military, how brave our
10:41military is. But that's the thing that the American people are hungry for.
10:46They're looking for solutions. They're not looking for the finger pointing.
10:49And you think about what President Trump has done.
10:51We secured the. largest tax cut in American history.
10:55They didn't vote for it.
10:57They couldn't cheer for it.
10:58They will gladly accept it when they go to file their taxes.
11:02But they just cannot stand the fact that he is doing all the things that
11:07the American people want. And so I think that this is our moment to really
11:12rise above it all and say, listen, we want everyone who loves America on the
11:16team. Let's do what's best for this country.
11:19Let's do what's best for American families.
11:21And if you're not going to do that, people will see it for what it
11:24was. And that's really what my choice of seat in the chamber was all about.
11:31A clear, stark visual of you have Chuck Schumer sitting next to me, sitting and
11:37scowling at me, Mark Kelly behind me, scowling at me.
11:41And I was like, you know what?
11:42I love this country more than anything.
11:44I'm going to stand up and I'm going to applaud every damn minute that I
11:46get. That's what it I mean, that's what our side shows.
11:50There is a love of country and they've tried to shame us into not having
11:54a love of country. And I just saw a chart that said that Democrats overall,
12:00that their love of country has gone way down.
12:02It's as if they're teaching, which I believe they are teaching people, you should be
12:07ashamed of your country. Whereas I looked at what they did and I was ashamed
12:11of that. But I want to say you brought up the Venezuela mission and you've
12:16seen obviously way more than we have.
12:18And I don't know if I've been living in a cave, but I didn't know
12:22the story of the helicopter pilot.
12:24And I think that's one of the unique pleasures in seeing these types of speeches
12:30that the president gives because he is a storyteller.
12:33And the way he told that, it was funny because my daughter, my 12 year
12:38old, the next morning in the car, she goes, but mom, why would the helicopter
12:42pilot get that award? And not everybody that went into Venezuela that night get the
12:47award. And I was like, oh, well, let's talk about what the president told us
12:52because I hadn't heard that story.
12:54I was like, you have to understand.
12:55He, she goes, and he got shot.
12:58And I said, and he flew, he still landed the helicopter.
13:02He still got the entire group safely to where they needed to go.
13:06And she was like, oh my gosh, that's amazing.
13:09That guy's really amazing. And I thought, how cool that you can have a night
13:13where your kids can watch and the Democrats can complain that he said they were
13:17crazy, but he said it because they wouldn't stand for those moments.
13:22It wasn't that he was saying the party was crazy.
13:24He was saying the people right there who wouldn't stand for those moments were acting
13:28very insane and immature, but your kids could watch it and walk away and go,
13:33that's America. Oh, and, and I love that she asked you about that because that's
13:39the curiosity that we want to inspire in our kids.
13:43You know, I, I, I just, I think about that helicopter pilot and, and people
13:48may not know he was originally supposed to be in a wheelchair and he was
13:53going to be wheeled into the chamber.
13:56And you have to imagine that this guy who literally was shot multiple times in
14:00the leg was bleeding out.
14:01Um, he has such pride that he said, hell no, I'm not going to be
14:06wheeled into that chamber. I'm going to walk into that chamber.
14:09And he had a walker and you could see the pain, but you could also
14:13see the pride on his face, that resolve, that grit, that scrappiness, like America exceptionalism
14:20embodied in, in that guy and his wife and her face.
14:24She was just being, you could see the pride that it was what is so
14:27special. And, and it was so sad to me, especially when I'm talking about, um,
14:32the mother of, of the young lady who was tragically brutally murdered in Charlotte.
14:39Most of my colleagues on the Democrat side wear a, a lapel pin that has
14:44a Ukrainian flag on it.
14:46They're willing to stand for Ukraine so long as it's over there.
14:49But the minute that a Ukrainian refugee gets to the United States and is brutally
14:54murdered by somebody who is a repeat offender who never should have been out on
14:57the streets, but as a result of the no cash bail and the soft on
15:01crime policies that they, that, that they promote, they're silent.
15:05I mean, the double standard is incredible and the hypocrisy it's on full display.
15:11They think that they're, they're being smart about how they're handling this, but I think
15:16that's what Americans are sick and tired of.
15:17They're sick and tired of being treated like they're idiots.
15:19We know what's going on.
15:20We see their double standard.
15:22We see when they're doing all of this for political show and, and we're just
15:26tired of it. We don't want our kids to grow up where it's Republican versus
15:29Democrat and you can't have a healthy debate and still be friends at the end.
15:33You know, that's, that's what we need to get back to.
15:35And, and I just, I'm so encouraged about where we're headed as a country, as
15:39a nation. I know that we certainly have our fair share of problems, but man,
15:44are we the best people equipped to handle them?
15:46But you make a great point here.
15:48They are fighting for people in another country and they're not on the ground and
15:52it's not affecting them. And it's just a projected, a projection of this.
15:57We care. We're loving vote for us.
16:00But let me tell you what the reality of that Ukrainian story is, because Roy
16:06Cooper is running for Senate in North Carolina and he's the one, his policies as
16:12governor, let that guy out.
16:14Now you have Roy Cooper running against our own former.
16:21and see chair Watley. And you have it.
16:24So they think that you've got some you've got a real problem with having Watley
16:29down there running. So you are going to sit for a woman who lost her
16:35daughter because they know that could politically come back on them because it was their
16:40guy that let that guy out and got her killed.
16:43And he's running to be a senator.
16:46They want that Senate seat.
16:48I mean, it's just doesn't that just break your heart, though, that people like that
16:52are willing to spill blood and willing to turn the cheek, their cheek to someone
16:58who lost their life and a grieving mother.
17:00I mean, you could feel that woman's pain in the chamber.
17:03She was sobbing and every single one around us like I had Amy Klobuchar next
17:10to me and Chuck Schumer on the other side of her and Tammy Baldwin.
17:14And they I could I could feel them tense up.
17:18They they knew that it was wrong to sit there.
17:21They knew it. You could feel it.
17:23You could see it in their body language.
17:24But they also you could see the mental calculations going on in their head of,
17:29well, if I stand, you know, oh, you know, that is what is so broken
17:33about the left. They are willing to forsake American lives.
17:38They're willing to to actually see people lose their life for their political agenda.
17:43That is just absurd. You don't get into public service for that.
17:46If that's the case, then you're just chasing titles and you're the most egotistical person
17:50on the planet. I think that's what the American people are really seeing in this
17:53moment. And the best part about when President Trump asked if you stand for Americans,
17:59please stand up in the chamber or if you are going to prioritize illegals.
18:05Stay seated. The world saw that moment.
18:08They saw that moment. Let's take a quick commercial break.
18:12We'll continue next on the Tudor Dixon podcast.
18:15It's happening across America. Men are being allowed to compete in women's sports, robbing girls
18:21of scholarships, medals, titles and safety.

18:50Hey, it's Ben Ferguson. And I want to be honest with you for a second
18:54about how an act of compassion really feels.
18:57A couple of years ago, I made the choice to partner with an amazing organization
19:02called Compassion International. Why? Because I wanted to sponsor a child in need.
19:08It was a nice idea, sure, but I had no idea just how much that
19:12simple act would change my life as well.
19:15I sponsored Nadia and got to watch her life change right in front of my
19:20eyes, going from starving literally alone on the streets to getting the health care and
19:26education she needs to reach her God -given full potential.
19:30I got to be a part of that change.
19:33And the light of that compassion not only illuminates in her, it illuminates now in
19:38me. That is the power of compassion.
19:41The light of Christ shines on all of us.
19:45Feel it for yourself and change literally a child's life, change the world, and you
19:51also change yourself. You can sponsor a child today.

21:33I mean, that night was all about standing for America.
21:35If you can't stand for the U .S.
21:37hockey team, you are not standing for America.
21:40And they're not. I mean, you talk about their lack of concern over Irina, but
21:45they're not the party of life.
21:48And they. have really proven that in a totally different way this year, because we
21:52have seen murder after murder.
21:54We've seen Donald Trump stop these murders.
21:57They couldn't stand for that either.
21:58He said murder is down.
21:59They couldn't stand for that.
22:00They couldn't celebrate that. But we saw the backlash after Roe v.
22:05Wade. I will just say this morning as I'm coming into work, I see that
22:09New Jersey just passed, just got it approved to have assisted suicide in the state.
22:15And I think, oh, my gosh, this is where we're going.
22:18Like, this is where we're going.
22:19And you see what's happened in Canada.
22:21You have parents who had 25 year old kids that were suicidal and they couldn't
22:26get to them in time.
22:27And the state lets them or the country lets them commit suicide, legally commit suicide,
22:32and they help them do it.
22:34And I think this is going to be elderly people who can't take care of
22:37themselves. This is going to be people who don't want to have to deal with
22:40a special needs kid. This is just acceptable murder now.
22:45I'm just shocked by this party.
22:48But I do think they will do anything, anything possible to stay in power.
22:52And the latest is that they don't want to see the Save America Act passed.
22:57And I'm I just think the Save Act is so critical right now.
23:01And there's nothing more clear to me than they are cheating.
23:04We know we've had noncitizens vote in the state of Michigan.
23:07How do they possibly get away?
23:09We've got Hillary Clinton, you've got Hillary Skolten in my own district, who is saying
23:12married women won't be able to vote.
23:15You can't get a real ID?
23:17I mean, how many married women aren't flying on airplanes?
23:19This is just a lie.
23:21It is. I mean, again, it's the entire agenda of the radical left has been
23:27dependency and control. They want to make people dependent on big government programs so that
23:32they the big government advocates, they stay in control.
23:34It's not one particular policy over the other, but they always do it with this
23:38this campaign of we're the compassionate ones, right?
23:43They pretend to care. There is nothing compassionate about killing babies.
23:47There is nothing compassionate about open borders.
23:50There is nothing compassionate about soft on crime or no cash bail policies.
23:55There is nothing compassionate about their radical policies.
24:00Nothing. And then to actually tell people and I know you've been such an advocate
24:06and a leader on this in protecting women's sports and protecting women in general to
24:12say, we're going to go ahead and go along with your mental disorder.
24:17And we're going to jeopardize our girls and put boys in their private spaces, in
24:23their locker rooms, and then we're going to endanger them and put them up against
24:26men and force them to compete.
24:30It's dangerous. It is not compassionate.
24:32It is actually cruel. Their policies are rooted in cruelty.
24:37And I think people are waking up to that.
24:39You mentioned the SAVE Act.
24:41We have seen countless people on the left come out and say, married women will
24:46not be able to vote.
24:47We're disenfranchising women. I'm sorry, would you please stop talking to us as though we
24:51are morons? I am so sick and tired of the left treating us like, one,
24:58we are single issue voters, and two, that we are idiots.
25:01For them to go out and say, that women are not smart enough to get
25:06a real ID, I'm just blown away by that is the messaging that they all
25:13sat around in a room and were like, yeah, Bob, let's go after that.
25:16That's what we're going to go with.
25:17I mean, my gosh, they just treat people like they're idiots.
25:22And again, I think people are waking up to it.
25:24But beyond that, they say, oh, this isn't necessary because it never happens.
25:29I'm sorry. Weren't they the original election deniers that, you know, I remember back in
25:342006, 2006, I kept hearing people say, this is, we're not going to certify the
25:39election. This is an illegitimate win, you know, all this stuff, right?
25:43I just, I love how it's come full circle.
25:45And now they're saying it's not a problem.
25:48Nevermind that the facts tell a different story.
25:5019 states issue driver's licenses to non -citizens.
25:55And of those 19 states, 15 actually do automatic voter registration when you're at the
26:00DMV. And they're like, well, there's a, there's a checkbox.
26:03I'm like, ooh, don't let that little checkbox of, you know, I attest that I'm
26:07a U .S. citizen that never gets verified and never gets checked or anything, right?
26:11Never let that stop anybody.
26:13My gosh, do they think we are morons?
26:15I just, I think that you, if there's something to fear, then they should vote
26:19for this, right? That's where I'm at.
26:22You have to have a real ID to travel.
26:24And I've never gone through the airport and been like, there are only men here.
26:27There are only men. How did you get on that plane, Tudor?
26:32How did you figure out how to get on that plane?
26:34Exactly. I don't walk on a plane and people are like, oh my gosh, what,
26:36how is a woman in here?
26:39This is just stunning. Really quick, before I let you go, I do want to
26:43mention, there's been a little bit of a discussion lately about this congressional slush fund
26:48that was used for years to pay off victims of congressmen and women who were
26:54victims of any sort, but a lot of times sexual assault victims.
26:58And it was taxpayer money that went, we've never gotten the details.
27:01We've never gotten the names.
27:02A few of you have come out and said, you want that to be released.
27:05I'm with you. Absolutely. I don't know why this is a thing at all.
27:12When you're in public service, you're held to a higher standard and there's...
27:16never have been a slush fund that was used to pay off victims to settle
27:23these ridiculous cases. Many, I'm sure, are horrific examples of sexual harassment.
27:29And we are very, very eager to see what the details of these settlements are
27:34because there is such a distrust in Washington.
27:37We've talked about a lot of the reasons why.
27:40I think this is a good first step in restoring some of that transparency and
27:44accountability in Washington. We need to stand with people who have been silenced.
27:48And it's just how wildly inappropriate that taxpayer money is being used.
27:54That's like the final insult to injury on this entire case.
27:58But I think we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard.
28:00I've been willing to call out the balls and strikes on both sides.
28:03If it's our own side, if it's Republicans that are doing it, you know what?
28:07You shouldn't be serving. I mean, I've got colleagues on my side that I believe
28:12should not be serving because they have really disgraced the office.
28:15They've done things that are illegal, inappropriate, and they shouldn't be there.
28:19Just like I've said the same thing about my colleagues on the left.
28:22We have to get back to a place of there is a higher standard when
28:25you're serving the people and people need to live up to it every day.
28:29I think transparency and sunlight is the best option moving forward.
28:32And I'm going to be standing with all my colleagues who are fighting to get
28:36these files unearthed and released because I think it's really important.
28:41It is very important. And I appreciate your willingness to do that because not many
28:46people are willing to speak out against their own colleagues.
28:49And that is a huge step.
28:51Thank you so much. Thank you for everything you're doing.
28:54Thank you for standing up and showing us the joy of being a person who
28:57serves our country and serves our country with such excitement.
