3:32when I arrive. And I'm like, oh goodness, we got to up the ante here.

3:40because I was planning to be like jeans and a sweater.

3:42Like not like not nice, but you know what I saw my teachers wear in

3:46college. Yep. No, they're good to go.

3:54For sure. All right, let's get into it.

3:57The war with Iran continues.

4:00It's looking pretty good. The Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and General Dan Cain gave a

4:07joint press conference today. And I mean, they said some interesting stuff.

4:13I thought that Pete Hegseth remains somebody that I think was just born for this

4:18role. Look, I defended him when he was having a tough time getting confirmed.

4:23And I really felt like he was the guy for this job at this time.

4:27And I think every day since then, I have felt very good about it.

4:31He's really is the guy here to bring our defense capabilities to the next level,

4:37to get more enrollment, which he has done significantly, and just to be a cheerleader

4:43and praise the heroics of our military in such a way that I just think

4:48we haven't seen in a while.

4:50So we're going to roll.

4:51We're going to start it off with a short clip of him talking today.

4:54We have two short clips of him.

4:57Here's Pete Hegseth. We sunk their prized ship, the Soleimani.

5:02Looks like POTUS got him twice.

5:06Their Navy, not a factor.

5:08Pick your adjective. It is no more.

5:10In fact, yesterday in the Indian Ocean, and we'll play it on the screen there,

5:16an American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters.

5:24Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo.

5:26Quiet death. The first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War

5:32II. Like in that war, back when we were still the War Department, we are

5:38fighting to win. He just seems like he's having so much fun.

5:42He's like, this is what I'm here to do.

5:44I've been more skeptical of him and I was very excited for him on a

5:49recruiting front because I did think that having been in combat and being a guy

5:54who could relate to younger men, that he was men and women, that he was

5:57a person who could bring more in the door.

5:59You can't argue with a lot of the operational success of the military since he

6:05has been at the top.

6:07I love listening to General Kane as well.

6:09He's so obviously got to meet him in December, actually briefly at the Travis Manion

6:13Foundation Gala. And these guys are impressive.

6:17I know that the press is like, oh, he's just bro -ing out up there.

6:20But here's the thing. Good, good.

6:22Bro out. Here's the thing.

6:25The press is attempting to manifest operational failure from operational success.

6:32Right. And K -Hack's like, nope.

6:35Are U .S. men's hockey teaming the Iran strikes?

6:39Where they're like, no, no, no, we're going to say that all of this is

6:42a problem as it's happening, even though what you're actually doing is creating air supremacy

6:50over the entire country of Iran and doing pretty amazing things, bringing together coalitions that

6:58the world has never seen.

6:59Right. Who would have who would have thought five years ago if you said, well,

7:03yes, the Arab states are going to join with the U .S.

7:05and Israel in backing the striking of Iran and the killing of Khamenei and everyone

7:12would be like. Openly. Yeah, because a lot of times they do stuff behind the

7:15scenes, but they don't do things quite as openly as they're doing it here.

7:19And you mentioned air supremacy.

7:21Here's one more short clip of Pete Hegseth talking about just that.

7:25Starting last night and to be completed in a few days, in under a week,

7:30the two most powerful air forces in the world will have complete control of Iranian

7:36skies, uncontested airspace. I hope all the folks watching understand what uncontested airspace and complete

7:44control means. It means we will fly all day, all night, day and night, finding,

7:52fixing and finishing the missiles and defense industrial base of the Iranian military, finding and

7:58fixing their leaders and their military leaders, flying over Tehran, flying over Iran, flying over

8:06their capital, flying over the IRGC, to see Iranian leaders looking up and seeing only

8:14U .S. and Israeli air power every minute of every day until we decide it's

8:22over. And Iran will be able to do nothing about it.

8:28B -2s, B -52s, B -1s, predator drones, fighters controlling the skies, picking targets.

8:35Death and destruction from the sky all day long.

8:41Just amazing. All day long.

8:44I came across a line, Derek Thompson of The Atlantic was interviewing another Atlantic writer,

8:50Kareem Sajipour, and I just want to note that that was him who said this

8:53because I think it's fantastic.

8:54He says, I think this might be one of the few instances in modern history

8:57where a greater percentage of the society being bombed was supportive of military action than

9:02the society that was doing the bombing.

9:04Because the initial snap polling here has been a little rocky for the administration, I

9:09think because a lot of people just go, is this Iraq?

9:11I don't want this to be Iraq.

9:12Right. But we have another poll, a CBS poll that was asked in a really

9:16interesting way. One, I think it's worth noting that every bombing run you see videoed

9:22in Iran is followed by laughing and clapping.

9:25So I think that's important, important context.

9:28But the CBS poll asked, do you approve or disapprove of military action against Iran?

9:33If you think the conflict would last years and the number is 13 percent, months,

9:4046 percent, days or weeks, 76 percent would approve.

9:46So this looks like they're ahead of schedule in establishing what they want to establish

9:52and that the outcome could be within weeks or months.

9:56That's right. Which would mean you're on the good side of American public approval, which

9:59is what we've been saying is that if Trump strikes and uses power quickly, efficiently

10:04and effectively, Americans are like, great, great.

10:09Yeah. And look, things, again, appear to be going well.

10:12Iran's strikes are slowing down.

10:14They're running out of missiles, etc.

10:16Yesterday, so we're recording this on Wednesday.

10:18On Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force attacked Iran and destroyed another meeting.

10:24They were having another in -person meeting, Mary Catherine.

10:27Somebody on X, this account called The Salon Don, tweeted, Even Jamie Dimon, who is

10:33CEO of J .P. Morgan, would be impressed by Iran's commitment to in -person meetings.

10:38Yeah, seriously. The council is comprised of 88 religious leaders and they were choosing the

10:45new Ayatollah and the Israeli Air Force blew them up, you know, allegedly.

10:50It's just, it's amazing. It's amazing to watch two militaries who are really on top

10:57of their game do this.

10:59And it's amazing to watch, like you said, the other countries in the Middle East

11:03participate on the side of the U .S.

11:06and Israel. It's impressive. And it's a testament to what Donald Trump has accomplished.

11:10I know people don't want to give him any credit, but this is something that

11:14could only happen because Donald Trump is a little different, plays things completely differently than

11:21other politicians have, and is able to get people together who would have never considered

11:26being together. Meanwhile, the alliance that should be coming to the rescue of the Iranians,

11:32China and Russia, nowhere to be seen.

11:34China, I believe, noted the other day that it would offer moral support.

11:38And Chinese air defenses apparently have been found to be not at all helpful, as

11:43you can tell by our air supremacy at this point.

11:46There is an argument back home, again, a lot of press about, okay, well, what

11:50is the rationale for this war?

11:53And to me, it is, to me, it is, well, they've been at war with

11:56us since 1979. And we have never struck directly, because we were aware, worried about

12:03the capacity that they had.

12:04During the Obama years, the strong preference was for appeasement.

12:08But you can make an argument that we're appeasing because we're afraid of what they

12:11have. We're going to extend this deadline.

12:14The Iran that exists right now, when this strike was planned, is a different Iran

12:21and capabilities than it was at any other time since 1979.

12:25It is laid bare. Thank you, Israeli strikes on their air defenses.

12:29Thank you, Israeli and U .S.

12:32intel. And so dealing with it at this moment, particularly if you have a chance

12:37to hit Khomeini, because you know where he is, seems like a pretty good shot

12:43to take. Yeah, absolutely. Another person who has been really impressive during this time is

12:50obviously Secretary Marco Rubio, you know, longtime fans here on Normally.

12:54He also has had some really amazing comments that he's made during this time.

13:01He said something that was misconstrued by people on the internet on purpose.

13:06He said that they took it to mean that Israel forced the U .S.

13:13to get into this war, which is ridiculous.

13:16So to clarify, he said this.

13:19Listen, let me explain to you guys this in simple English.

13:22OK, Iran is run by lunatics, religious fanatic lunatics.

13:26They have an ambition to have nuclear weapons.

13:29They intend to develop those nuclear weapons behind a program of missiles and drones and

13:33terrorism that the world will not be able to touch them for fear of those

13:37things. And this is the weakest they've ever been.

13:39Now is the time to go after them.

13:40The president made the decision to go after them, take away their missiles, take away

13:44their Navy, take away their drones, take away their ability to make those things so

13:48that they can never have a nuclear weapon.

13:50And that's why the president made this decision.

13:52It was the right decision.

13:53And the world will be a safer place when these radical clerics no longer have

13:57access to these weapons. You see how they're using them now.

13:59Imagine how they would use them a year from now if they had more of

14:01these. By the way, this is a great argument that Iran is making against itself.

14:07Yeah. Is that they're randomly shooting whatever they have at anyone, including actual allies of

14:14theirs. Qatar and Oman are like, wait, what's happening?

14:16I thought we had a thing, but they all don't have a thing.

14:19They all don't have a thing because these are lunatics, as Rubio points out.

14:23Now, I will say I do think that and I know it's not Trump style

14:26and what you get from Trump is the guy who will hit Iran.

14:29So you don't necessarily get the sit down Oval Office Resolute Desk address.

14:34But I do think that is owed to the American people.

14:36I think he could go out and make the exact argument that Rubio made quickly

14:40in an Oval Address office and that it's serious and this needs to be taken

14:44seriously. Yeah, I would appreciate that.

14:46And I think it would clear up some of this, but it should the reporters

14:50can have brains in their heads.

14:51And remember a couple of months back after Midnight Hammer, when Israel had jets flying

14:57over Iran on their way and Trump said, stop and pull them back.

15:02And they did because Trump is not this allegation is stupid.

15:08Right. It's stupid. This idea that Trump could be forced into something.

15:13Come on. Have you met the guy?

15:14They also chopped up Rubio's quote on purpose to mislead people because he was asked

15:20two separate questions. Why and why now?

15:23And the why now was, well, we had found this target of opportunity together and

15:28Israel was going to take it.

15:29Right. Like, that's how this works, guys.

15:32I also think we're in a double bind where it's like if America acts alone,

15:36that's bad. But if America acts with the other most capable intel and military on

15:40the planet, that's also bad.

15:42Yeah. Yeah. There was a piece in Axios.

15:46It was Mark Caputo and Barack Ravid.

15:49Barack Ravid is who gets normally planted the stories from inside the administration of people

15:56skeptical of military action. So it's kind of interesting that he had this story, which

16:01was that last Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called President Trump with a stunning

16:06tip. Iran's Supreme Leader and his top advisers were all set to meet at one

16:10location in Tehran on Saturday morning.

16:13They could all be killed in a single devastating airstrike, Netanyahu told Trump and his

16:17team, according to three sources.

16:18briefed on the discussion. And obviously Trump said, let's do it.

16:23Let's do it. Why wouldn't they do it?

16:25You know what this reminded me of yesterday was Bush's attempt to reform Social Security.

16:32I know that sounds weird, but in the moment, it was a very politically unpopular

16:37thing, but he thought it was the right thing to do.

16:39He thought that it was necessary for the country's finances.

16:44And had it happened, we would be in a much better position now than we

16:49are had he been able to convince everyone and everyone not dug their heels in

16:53about it. In foreign policy, the president has a lot more power.

16:56So what Trump did is he took his somewhat politically unpopular reform and risk, and

17:01he did it. And I do think in 20 years, we will be much safer

17:06as a result. That's absolutely we will have a better world order because the head

17:10of this snake was lopped off.

17:12And even if you don't get perfect freedom in the aftermath in Iran, it is

17:17hard to get worse than what we had.

17:19Yeah, that's absolutely right. And the thing is, we won't see it that way or

17:23sense it that way. We could only see when it's worse, right?

17:26You can only see that the social, not privatizing, what was it, 5 % of

17:30Social Security has ended up being a bad thing for us.

17:33It's much tougher with a situation like Iran to be like, oh, we feel safer.

17:38We are safer, but we will be safer.

17:40And that's the reality of it.

17:42Well, I think some people are resistant to believe that these far -off dangers cause

17:48problems for us. But the alliance of Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, with especially with

17:56those couple in our backyard, very dangerous.

17:58Yeah, very dangerous. I would also note there was an update on this front of

18:03Machado, who is the opposition leader in Venezuela, says she's coming back to Venezuela soon,

18:08and there is the suggestion that there will be elections.

18:12So that is moving in the direction of the Venezuelan people making decisions about that

18:16country. So we hope the best for both of those countries and for it to

18:19work out in that way.

18:21Absolutely. Eventually, Iran, the Iranian people are going to have to kind of rise up

18:26and do their own thing and decide what kind of government they're going to have.

18:30And America's role is to secure that for them, but then they have to take

18:34over. Can I, on the note that this, of course, comes with very serious risks,

18:39we now have the names of four of the American troops who died in Kuwait.

18:44Those killed, according to PBS, and this is from the Pentagon, were Captain Cody Cork,

18:4835, of Winter Haven, Florida, Sergeant First Class Noah Teatins, excuse me for not knowing

18:54how to pronounce that, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska, Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor, 39, of

19:00White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Sergeant Declan Cody, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa.

19:05I know that Nicole Amor was a mom of young kids.

19:09Declan Cody had become an Eagle Scout in 2020, which if you become an Eagle

19:14Scout in the year of our Lord 2020, you're the best among us, right?

19:17You were able to get that done.

19:19They all devoted their lives to their country.

19:22And please lift up their families because they're in very real pain right now as

22:45We are back on Normally, where a number of primaries happened last night, with the

22:51biggest one being the U .S.

22:53Senate race primary, Democratic primary in Texas, where James Tellarico won the Democratic nomination over

23:00Representative Jasmine Crockett. She had entered the race with so much fanfare that I believe

23:06he almost dropped out. And it was funny that that was the case because she

23:13ended up losing by quite a bit.

23:15It wasn't particularly close. And James Tellarico won it outright.

23:18Meanwhile, on the Republican side in Texas, Senator John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton

23:23are heading to a runoff since neither got a majority in that race.

23:29Yeah, I think that Jasmine Crockett didn't run a campaign.

23:33She ran an identity and an Instagram account.

23:36Yeah. That's what she ran.

23:38And her idea and some of the activists who supported her was that we were

23:43just going to do 2020 again, which is scream at you about how you must

23:47support a Black woman. And if you do not, then you are a racist.

23:51And I have to say, even though she would be a more vulnerable general election

23:54candidate for Republicans, that I am appreciative that this tactic did not work because they

24:00threw some, I think, unfair and nasty stuff at Tallarico.

24:05And although it's fun to watch Democrats pay the price of their own tactics from

24:092020, I'm glad it didn't work for her because I don't think we want to

24:13be encouraging the types of candidates who are just identity first, vibes only.

24:20She didn't have a campaign manager.

24:21She didn't run ads. And I know we're in a new era, but like, you

24:25have to have a campaign.

24:26Come on, not that new an era.

24:28You have to have a campaign, not just yell at people.

24:31And then, of course, as she loses, she blames Republicans for her loss, which doesn't

24:37make any sense because Republicans, A, goaded her into running because we thought she'd be

24:41easier to beat. And B, to the extent we were meddling, it was to vote

24:45for her, not against her or suppress her vote at all.

24:50Yeah, come on now. There are two kinds of people.

24:52They're the kinds of people that would love to see a Jasmine Crockett win because

24:56she'll be potentially an easier person to beat in the general.

24:59And I think you and I are the opposite where we want the more serious

25:04candidate to win just in case.

25:06Just in case they pull off an upset.

25:08Just in case. I mean, I think Tallarico is also fairly far left to be

25:13real, but he's not Jasmine Crockett left.

25:16Well, he puts in some work.

25:18Right. I don't buy it.

25:19I don't buy the youth pastor in the back of a pickup.

25:22Same. Yeah. I don't like how he just massages his Christianity until it satisfies any

25:28of his progressive views that need to be satisfied because I don't think that's a

25:32correct way of doing that.

25:33I think the speech he gave that includes the sentence, God is non -binary, is

25:38really going to come back to bite him in a general election.

25:41In Texas, yeah. Yeah. But this is a bit of a tough scenario for Republicans,

25:46for sure, because Ken Paxton has a lot of baggage.

25:48He is the anti -establishment candidate.

25:51He will be going up in 12 weeks against Cornyn, the four -time incumbent senator.

25:58And Trump did not endorse in the three -way primary to start this.

26:03Will he endorse for the runoff, which would make it easier for Republicans because then

26:08your runoff wouldn't cost so much money and these two people wouldn't beat the ever

26:11-loving crap out of each other until they go up against Tallarico?

26:15It's going to cost a lot of money.

26:16It's already cost $60 million plus to get Cornyn where he is.

26:21Yeah, it's going to be a question.

26:24Do you think Trump would endorse Cornyn?

26:25I mean, that's the... Some are urging that.

26:29That's what the president of the party would normally do, but Paxton is more Trumpy.

26:34It's really, it's kind of a tough question.

26:36Yes, it is a tough question.

26:37I think some are urging him to endorse Cornyn.

26:40I think many in the base would be upset, but the base doesn't stay upset

26:44with Trump for very long.

26:46Hey, where do those... Wesley Hunt was also in this primary, who I really like.

26:51I might have ended up a Wesley Hunt voter if I were there.

26:54Where do his voters go?

26:55I think there's a couple hundred thousand of them, and we will see what he

26:59ends up doing as well.

27:00But this has the potential to suck up a lot of money and be a

27:04lot closer than Republicans want it to be.

27:06Yeah. The other notable race from last night, Dan Crenshaw lost his primary.

27:12He was the GOP incumbent.

27:13He was the GOP incumbent.

27:14representative also in Texas to state rep Steve Toth.

27:18It was an upset. I don't think I didn't realize that was a possibility.

27:22There's very few polls in these races.

27:24So I think it was a surprise to a lot of people.

27:27I think it was. I believe Trump did not endorse in that race either.

27:31Again, does the Trump endorsement matter in primaries?

27:34I say yes, it still does.

27:36Yeah. And Crenshaw had been openly more Trump critical and the base decided that they

27:41wanted someone else in that slot.

27:43Yes, this is a surprise.

27:45And I think whereas I was on the lookout for the left getting itself in

27:51trouble with more base satisfying candidates than general election satisfying candidates, I think the Republican

27:58Party is also in some danger of doing that.

28:01That doesn't mean that these guys can't pan out in the end.

28:04Yeah. But you may build a harder road for yourself.

28:07That's right. Yeah, we do this sometimes.

28:10Build that harder road for ourselves.

28:13Yeah. Look, in my life, I have always voted for the most conservative candidate in

28:17the race. That's not what this is all the time.

28:20It's not always the most conservative candidate.

28:22It's sometimes the most bombastic or the most angry or that kind of thing.

28:26That doesn't play quite as well in a general.

28:29And I think we need to be careful of that.

28:31And then I say this to you because I know you agree with me, but

28:34the rest of the party, I don't know.

28:36Do they agree with us on this?

28:37I think they kind of like the bombastic.

28:39No, I mean, electability is not a sexy argument.

28:42It's really not. Yeah. It's not fun.

28:43I don't care. Yeah. It's also worth noting there was a really high turnout for

28:49Tallarico in Latino majority counties that in many cases, Republicans would, of course, like to

28:57stick around as Republican voters.

28:59In this primary, you could go either way.

29:00You can vote Republican or Democrat.

29:02So maybe they just found the Democratic primary more interesting, a little more spicy, wanted

29:06to vote for Tallarico, which is what a lot of those counties did at about

29:1060 percent and heavily Latino counties.

29:13But it should be of interest and perhaps concern to Republicans that a lot of

29:17these counties that they hoped would stay Republican are looking like they're enthusiastically coming out

29:22for a Democratic primary. Yeah, we'll see what that means.

29:25Might signal something for the fall.

29:27Texas is, you know, I say this, Texas is the whale for Democrats.

29:33But, you know, Virginia used to be the whale for Democrats.

29:36That used to be the state that I was like, that's never going blue.

29:40Yeah. So it's always got to be careful and never say never.

29:44Well, there will be a ton of runoffs and we will keep you posted on

29:48those. But also in North Carolina, a big one expected results.

29:52Roy Cooper, who is the former governor of North Carolina, will be the Senate candidate

29:56for the Democrats and Michael Watley, former RNC chair, the candidate for Republicans.

30:00Watley is not super well known in the state, despite having been the RNC chair.

30:05Cooper is popular, even though he shouldn't be because he was terrible during COVID and

30:10then terrible during Hurricane Helene.

30:13Nonetheless, he is a person who has gotten a lot of passes.

30:16So we'll see what happens there.

30:18That is for Tom Tillis's seat.

30:20Yeah. Meanwhile, Palm Beach County in Florida is on the verge of going red in

30:26terms of voter registration. This is crazy because Palm Beach County was traditionally a blue

30:31county in Florida. Very few blue counties left in Florida, Mary Catherine.

30:36So, you know, you have your pick of counties should you choose to make the

30:40move. You know, I'm going to be a panhandle gal.

30:44Yes. I've never been there.

30:47I've never been to the panhandle.

30:48Can we go together? I'm going to be stuck in what really is just South

30:52Georgia and South Alabama. I love it.

30:56Let's go. Let's go visit.

30:57Family trip. It's gorgeous. It's gorgeous.

30:59But you got the moss off the old oak trees.

31:03It's gorgeous. Yeah. So Ron DeSantis retweeted that Palm Beach County's Democrat advantage collapsed from

31:10138 ,000 to a little over 12 ,000.

31:15And it could tell by the vote by mail numbers that a lot of those

31:19blue voters are snowbirds. There was a way to get snowbirds to not be eligible

31:24to vote in Florida. I would certainly be for that.

31:29Can I point out just on the voter turnout and flipping states and what have

31:32you? Scott Pressler, who, of course, has done very energetic on the groundwork in Pennsylvania,

31:38New Jersey, all over the place.

31:40He just tweeted this the other day.

31:41And I just want to acknowledge growth in this position and this mission for him,

31:45because this is good stuff.

31:46We've identified 1 ,615 Farsi -speaking voters in Pennsylvania.

31:51Out of those, 920 are registered Democrats.

31:53At early vote action, we'll have peer -to -peer text messages shortly for you to

31:57communicate a beautiful Persian -specific message to them.

32:00The Republican Party has their backs.

32:02So awesome. Yeah, that's good.

32:04It does not leave anything on the table.

32:06That's how you got to do it.

32:07It is going straight to those people and saying, hi, guess who just killed Khomeini?

32:12Right. Look, it is a very compelling argument.

32:15By the way, have you seen that there's a viral sound of a DJ having

32:20created a track out of Trump's Khomeini is dead?

32:24Yep, yep. So good. Yeah.

32:26This is the new world.

32:27It really is. It's the new world.

32:29To talk about the 2028 primary for a second, Gavin Newsom was at a book

32:37event in Los Angeles, and he said some things about it.

32:41Israel that I think are being portrayed a little bit harsher than I actually heard

32:46them. And listen, I don't give Newsom any credit at all, but Yashar Ali tweeted,

32:50Newsom said that those who say Israel is an apartheid state are doing so, quote,

32:54appropriately. Newsom said Israel has been unable to resolve the Hamas issue over the past

32:59couple of years. So how could it possibly get into the regime change business in

33:02Iran? He also alluded to concerns about Israeli influence on U .S.

33:06government decisions. I hear that, but listening to that clip, it was a very lefty,

33:13I just don't like the Netanyahu administration kind of clip.

33:17I didn't hear anything super new there, but I still think that it's going to

33:24be interesting to see if the Democrats are really going to be turning on our

33:29main, very capable ally in order to run in their primary.

33:34And this could easily be the beginning of that, you know, being the case where

33:39they're all going to raise their hands and say they oppose any future alliance with

33:44Israel because it's not about the support, right?

33:47I know a lot of people talk about how much money we give Israel for

33:51its defense. All of that money is spent on American defense systems.

33:56No president wants to cut that is the reality of it.

33:59Israel could easily go it alone.

34:01The U .S. does not want them to.

34:03And when Newsom says, you know, Israel has been unable to take out Hamas, mostly

34:07because we've tied their hands and the world has tied their hands.

34:11They could absolutely take out Hamas if they did not care who else they took

34:16out. He's also sort of ignoring the idea that like Hamas is living next to

34:22the governor's mansion if we were to do the analogous situation.

34:26So taking out this enemy while your hands are being tied is a very, very

34:31tough logistical ask when it's right on your border attacking you daily.

34:37That's right. It's really tough.

34:39I think I do appreciate so much having been to Israel and I think others

34:44should try to visit because once you see how close everything is together, you get

34:47a new appreciation for why the defenses need to be what they are.

34:52Yep. When they were like, well, you're going to the north today.

34:54Okay. Two hours later, we're in the north.

34:56You're going to the south today.

34:57Two hours later, you're in the south.

34:59Yeah. Yeah. But I do think, I think you're right that, you know, using this

35:04kind of language like apartheid is going to become normal.

35:08Standard. Yeah. Which, by the way, if you ever have been to Israel or talked

35:11to anyone who's from there, it's not.

35:13It's not at all. Not apartheid.

35:15So it's just untrue. So saying untrue things about Israel is probably going to be

35:20the part for the course moving to the 2028 primary.

35:24Yeah. Unfortunate. And I hope the Republicans don't succumb to the same thing.

35:29I think the numbers still are overwhelmingly pro -Israel, no matter what the tuckers of

35:34the world want. But we'll see.

35:36We'll see what J .D.

35:37Vance is saying closer to that time.

35:40A quick note that actually fits with 2028 as well is the up -and -coming

35:45Governor Abigail Spanberger of Virginia, whose Democratic -run state legislature has been proposing all sorts

35:53of insane things. Yeah. She had a chance to moderate last week.

35:58She had a chance to moderate because a 41 -year -old woman, Stephanie Minter, was

36:03murdered at a bus stop in Northern Virginia.

36:06And she was murdered by an illegal alien who's been in the U .S.

36:09for 15 years. And during that, his time in Northern Virginia has been arrested on

36:1430 offenses, many of them violent, including malicious, wounding, and forcible rape.

36:21And he has been let go or not charged or on the streets every single

36:25time because there is a Soros -funded prosecutor in Fairfax County who doesn't like to

36:30prosecute named Steve Discano. Yeah.

36:33And after this murder, Abigail Spanberger was asked as the governor, would you honor an

36:38ICE detainer for this man?

36:40And she said, no, go get a warrant.

36:42Oof. He has to commit another crime, I guess, in order for them to come

36:49pick it. This is just a no -brainer.

36:51And there was a Biden former staffer who was like, this is not passing the

36:56test for a modern Democrat.

36:58Like, you cannot signal that this is a hard decision for you.

37:01You have to go pick this guy up.

37:03And she's the quote -unquote moderate.

37:06She's the moderate. Yeah. I don't think so.

37:08Nope. She's she's mom Donnie wing.

40:02All right, we are back on Normally with some good news out of the Supreme

40:05Court, where they gave some relief to parents who objected to California school systems transitioning

40:14socially their children without notifying them.

40:18And they said, hey, we feel like this violates our parents' rights and our religious

40:22rights. And the Supreme Court was like, indeed.

40:25This is Amy Howell writing at the SCOTUS blog.

40:28The Supreme Court on Monday granted a request from a group of California parents to

40:32reinstate a ruling by a federal district court that prohibits schools in that state from

40:37misleading parents about their children's gender presentation and that requires schools to follow parents' instructions

40:42regarding the names and pronouns that children use there.

40:45In a seven -page order, the majority explained that the parents were likely to prevail

40:48on their claim that California's policies violate the parents' rights to freely exercise their religion

40:53and their right to, quote, direct the upbringing and education of their children.

40:57Thank you very much. Yeah.

40:58I was told this never happens.

41:01This never happens. Schools never transition kids behind their parents' backs.

41:05And yet this is a case that reached all the way to the Supreme Court

41:08saying, yeah, it does happen.

41:10The underlying case is going to continue through the lower courts, meaning that this legal

41:16fight is actually not over yet because the injunction is just preliminary.

41:19But still, it's a big move to say this is not acceptable.

41:23And I think that that's what the Supreme Court should be saying when people are

41:29doing things against the wishes of the parents.

41:33Yeah. It's discouraging both in this case and the Maryland -Montgomery County Schools one that

41:38you have to go all the way to the Supreme Court to get relief on

41:43your totally commonsensical parents' rights to raise your children as you see fit.

41:50But this is where we are.

41:52And this is how the progressives creep, creep, creep into everything and then make things

41:57that were formerly just totally understood by everyone as cultural norms.

42:02They're like, oh, no, that's not real anymore because we're fighting a culture war and

42:05you got here late. So go to the Supreme Court and try to get your

42:09parents' rights back. Yeah. Well, I hope they win and I hope that sanity prevails.

42:15I feel like we're moving in the right direction on this.

42:17I don't think that the Democrats are going to be running on boys can be

42:22in girls' locker rooms this time around, although we'll see, right?

42:25Who knows what they're going to run on.

42:26The primary moves them all further to the left before they try to make a

42:31bolt for the center and the general.

42:33I hope they get called on all the crazy things that they believe.

42:36And, you know, I have to actually state what those insane things are.

42:41Yeah. Tallarico is a signal, I think, that they are interested in moving to the

42:46center to someone or at least extricating themselves from 2020 tactics and beliefs to some

42:50degree. But also God is non -binary.

42:53So, you know, that's right.

42:54He's got both things going on.
