3:35Dove. For those of you out there who remember the miniseries based on the Larry

3:41McMurtry Pulitzer Prize winning book, he was McCall, Gus.

3:50He was Gus, and Call was played by Tommy Lee Jones.

3:53One of the great Westerns.

3:55I think it was a miniseries on television.

3:58Probably the greatest miniseries of all time.

4:00Incredible thousand -page book about a cattle drive from Texas to Montana.

4:04But Robert Duvall, and a lot of you obviously are going to remember him from

6:52Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't

7:09that... And I believe that our education, like, such as in South Africa and the

7:16Iraq, everywhere, like, such as, and...

7:19This is a, this is, of course, a very longstanding policy of the United States.

7:29I believe that they should, our education over here in the U .S.

7:34should help the U .S.

7:35or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so

7:41we will be able to build up our future for our children.

7:45And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure

7:48that we never get to that point, and we want to make sure that we

7:53are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any

8:00such confrontation and for that question to even arise.

11:35The depiction of the mafia, the American mob, the Cousin Ostra, as like honorable men

11:42who really, no, they actually like threaten small business owners and like hurt people that

11:48are defenseless and take their money.

11:50Like they are bad guys, actually.

11:52That's, that's. Movies can be about bad people and be really entertaining.

11:56I would just toss out there.

11:58Yeah, like Scarface is a good movie.

12:00I'm not saying anyone should be like Tony Montana.

12:02But anyway, so we have a bunch of things to get to.

12:06We were just, though, talking about the, the mafia thing.

12:10I will say that was always the problem.

12:11We had a, we had a listener get very mad that we're promoting them like

12:14the mafia, which I don't think that's what we're doing.

12:16The Godfather is kind of a universally celebrated film.

12:19There are plenty of movies.

12:21You know, I could say the exorcist is that we could get.

12:23And by the way, the reason we were talking about the Godfather is this is

12:26a sad story. Robert Duvall died 95 years old.

12:30So we were talking about all the movies that he had been in that were

12:34iconic. And the Godfather is one of those roles.

12:39I said, Lonesome Dove, which is one of the great Westerns of all time.

12:42I did not anticipate that we would be criticized for saying the Godfather one and

12:46two are good films. I didn't see that one coming.

12:50But I will say, I think in general that the the Italian mafia in America

12:56has gotten far more generous pop culture treatment than it actually deserves.

13:03That's my and I had an uncle in law enforcement who worked against the mob

13:08in New York for a while.

13:09And he this was a thing he would he would kind of stand on this

13:13one. He would he would say he would stand on this hill and he would

13:17say that the notion that these guys are all just, you know, they're honorable family

13:22guys who've got to do what they got to do.

13:24I mean, there may be a little bit of that, but there was a lot

13:26of I'm sending two thugs to collect the gambling debt and I'm going to break,

13:31you know, this single father's kneecaps unless they give me the money like that's actually

13:35what they were doing. So is it fair to say I think this is probably

13:38accurate that whatever criminal element you were in, it has been better received.

13:46Like there aren't that many in the last 20 years, I would say good guy,

13:52bad guy setups. It feels like the bad guys have become the anti hero, no

13:57matter whether it's the mob, whether it's drug dealing, whatever it is.

14:02They have flipped the script on good guys, right?

14:07Like who is the last real good guy that was popular in popular culture and

14:12he didn't have a dark side?

14:14I was the reason I was actually thinking about this because Laura last night as

14:17we got ready for bed was watching Little House on the Prairie.

14:20Whatever you think about Little House on the Prairie, it was a top show for

14:26eight or nine years. And all we talked about this before, all of the father

14:31figures are just really good.

14:33Like Michael Landon is just a really pause, a really good guy.

14:36When's the last show that was popular where the good guys are just good?

14:41Well, this is now you're getting into the broader, broader theme of, I think in

14:46general, Hollywood has and the creative industries in this country in general have just have

14:51pushed a lot of degeneracy and a lot of, you know, we grew up and

14:56there would be shows. And now I'm giving up the game here because Clay and

15:00I actually watched the same shows because he would have been in high school at

15:03the same time. But there were shows like Full House, Danny Tanner, which is funny

15:10because Bob Saget in rest in peace in real life was kind of a salty

15:13comedian. But Danny Tanner on Full House was like lovable, reliable dad, all about his

15:22kids. You know, wife had died, I think, of cancer or something on the show.

15:25I forget what the backstory was.

15:27But same thing with Carl from Full House.

15:31I'm sorry, not Full House.

15:32Family Matters. Lovable dad, cop, middle class, black family.

15:37You know, everybody. Same thing with Fresh Prince.

15:40Uncle Bill takes in the kid.

15:42I know what happened with Bill Cosby.

15:44No, I know. We always do the Cosby thing.

15:46You know, there's Cosby the character versus you got to be able to separate these

15:49things a little bit. So, yeah, Fresh Prince.

15:52By the way, you know, that house is up for that house is like a

15:5360 million dollar house now that they that they show as the base.

15:57Yeah. No, it's not like a nice house.

15:59It's a crazy nice house.

16:01Is that that they the growing pains like you run through Tony Danza, who's the

16:06boss? Every dad, Tim Allen.

16:09These dads were dedicated, competent, masculine, handsome or handsome enough.

16:16And then we kind of got into the era of.

16:19Let's go. Let's go. dads are all kind of schlubs or the only dads that

16:24can be competent are dads that are sort of non -traditional, you know, they have

16:30something about them that is, you know, maybe there's two dads.

16:34Then the dads can be good.

16:35Like you start to look at this and you go, what really is the messaging

16:38that is being sent? I think that this is, I think it's very real.

16:42I don't think this is something that we sound like church lady from SNL over

16:45here, like, well, isn't that special?

16:47Like, I think that there's actually a real thing behind this.

16:50And it's, you know who I would say?

16:52Coach Eric Taylor, Friday Night Lights.

16:54Last great dad character on television.

16:56He's a great, I also, I'm like a Kyle Chandler super fan.

17:00Like, I like him in everything he's in.

17:02I think, and if you haven't seen Friday Night Lights, it's a little weird because

17:06they have like 30 -year -old Abercrombie models playing like 16 -year -old high school

17:10kids. You got to get past that for a second, which they don't really do.

17:14You know, they actually have people that play their age much more now.

17:16You know, it wasn't too long ago, I even showed you, Clay, when my mom

17:21played a high school student in Summer of My German Soldier, she was in her

17:2520s and had two kids.

17:26She was playing a 16 -year -old.

17:28Yeah, right. It was very common.

17:29I mean, Beverly Hills, now 2 -1 -0 is the most, like, back in the

17:33day. I mean, you had people who were in their 30s.

17:35Andrea was in her 30s playing a high school kid.

17:38Andrea Zuckerman was like 35 playing a 16 -year -old.

17:39I've never seen someone in their 30s that I'm like, they look like they're in

17:42high school. Like, that's not a thing.

17:44So that was something that we all just accepted in television for a while.

17:48It was very weird. Friday Night Lights has a little bit of that.

17:50Like, some of the characters are well cast, but some of them look way...

17:53The guy who gets paralyzed in the show, to me, he looks like he's, you

17:58know, in his late 20s.

18:00And also, Tyra, there are no high school girls that look like Tyra.

18:05She went on to play, like, a Marvel superheroine or whatever right after this.

18:08Like, she's not in high school.

18:10I got to meet her once.

18:11I was such a fan of Friday Night Lights.

18:13She was at the hotel bar by the Fox lot.

18:16And I went over and said, I'm a huge fan.

18:19But, I mean, to your point, we basically have eliminated dads from pop culture.

18:23And there are no positive dad pop culture characters.

18:28And I think there is a huge opportunity to push back against the counter culture

18:34and solve this issue. I think there's a demand for it.

18:38Is the Tim Allen show, is that one?

18:41I forget what people... I always get lit up for not having watched.

18:44I really have not seen Tim Allen's stuff.

18:47And I know everyone says he's great.

18:49Is he a dad? The Last Man Standing is good.

18:52He's great in the Santa Claus, which a lot of people will see every Christmas

18:56season as a, you know, failed or struggling dad.

19:00But I think there just became this idea.

19:03We're talking about the mob.

19:04Tony Soprano, to me, became the ideal father figure.

19:10And it just... Meaning in terms of what they wanted to create in art, in

19:16shows. And then it descended from Soprano and just got worse and worse.

19:21I mean, I guess they have to because they can't have you hate the guy.

19:25But the truth is, they're always...

19:28Like, he's not really a mobster because he always will kind of draw this line

19:33of not doing the thing that's like really goes too far.

19:36And the truth is, that's not the way that these guys operate.

19:39And they hurt and threaten a lot of innocent, defenseless people.

19:45That's actually what organized crime does.

19:47Like, no one makes these excuses for the Russian mob.

19:49Like, the Russian mob is particularly ruthless with what they do back home in Russia.

19:54It's one of the ways they enforce...

19:56I worked with an NYPD guy who spent his whole career in the Russian mob.

19:59I used to ask him questions about this all the time.

20:01And he says that they hear they just want to rip people off and run

20:04scams. But if you're part of the Russian community and you rat or you do...

20:08They'll get your family back in Russia.

20:10That's actually how they go after people a lot of the time.

20:12And they're absolutely ruthless. No one's like, yeah, but they're family guys.

20:15You know what I mean?

20:16You know who never has a positive portrayal, probably deservedly so, cartels.

20:21There's no, like, oh, the cartels are actually pretty good guys.

20:25I mean, Sosa and Scarface is pretty slick, but I hear you.

20:29Sosa, you're like, if I have to hang out with a cartel guy, this guy,

20:33I bet he throws great dinner parties.

20:34Most of the Mexican cartel stories or the Latin American stories, the bad guys are

20:40pretty bad. But anyway, I do think it's emblematic that this conversation came out of

20:47the guy being upset. The movie is fantastic.

20:49It isn't aspirational. And it reminds me of...

20:52Do you remember when... I thought Julia Roberts actually had a great response on this.

20:58But when Pretty Woman came out, Julia Roberts started getting criticized.

21:02And they said, you know, my daughter now wants to grow up and be a

21:06hooker. Oh, I agree with the Pretty Woman criticism.

21:09I think Pretty Woman is a trash movie.

21:11It's bizarre. The whole thing makes no sense.

21:13But her argument was, well, you shouldn't be showing Pretty Woman to, like, a 10

21:18-year -old. Well, that's true.

21:20That's also true. But I think that's a little bit of a cop -out because

21:24the whole... If you think about Pretty Woman, it's a horrible movie.

21:27Like, I mean, I would say horrible.

21:28I'm not saying it's not entertaining.

21:29I'm not saying it's not entertaining.

21:31But if you look at what this is about, first of all, I mean, I

21:34don't know, you know. Are you suggesting that super rich guys who are good -looking,

21:39like Richard Gere, don't... And fundamentally kind and decent aren't picking up hookers on Rodeo...

21:43Or not on Rodeo Drive, on Hollywood Boulevard, and then having them live with them

21:47for the week? Yeah. Yeah.

21:48Not so much. It is an absurd and honestly grotesque movie, but it's got a

21:54good soundtrack. And, you know, everyone's supposed to...

21:57I'm also, by the way, Julia Roberts, overrated.

22:01Maybe even, I mean, not quite as overrated as Natalie Portman, but still overrated.

22:07I don't care what anyone says.

22:09I think Julia Roberts back in the day, I was going to say, you know

22:11what movie really doesn't stand up big.

22:15Oh, yeah. Weird. Weird. Big, which made like $500 million back in the day and

22:23starred Tom Hanks, is if you watch Big today, you're like, this is a super,

22:31super weird movie, like on so many different levels.

22:39I said it's the woman who falls in love with her aquarium pet, The Shape

22:43of Water. This woman falls in...

22:46It won the best picture, Clay.

22:47Like five years ago or something.

22:49It's a woman who basically, like a weird amphibious thing, amphibious...

22:59Splash is like... Mermaids, mermaids are...

23:05Also, the mermaid is clearly not real, right?

23:08Like, just FYI. I don't want to kill any of the big mermaid truthers out

23:12there. But The Shape of Water, this is a full -on amphibious monster, and she's

23:19like, let's get down with some naughty time, amphibious monster.

23:24How did this end up on your repertoire of watching films?

23:28It was years ago. I probably was on a date.

23:30Everything that's really bad that I get dragged to.

23:36time? I want to watch The Shape of Water.

23:38It won the Best Picture Oscar.

23:41Not like it was nominated, Clay.

23:43It won Best Picture. It's not even a good movie.

23:46And it has... This woman was falling in love with a...

23:48The whole thing is bizarre.

23:49Degeneracy. Pure degeneracy. And people get mad at me because they say I don't like

23:52everything. That's not true. Because, like, on Netflix, I said The Rip, which you liked,

23:55by the way, which is totally Clay.

24:00My standard for movies is, do I sit and watch it for two hours and

24:05not look at my watch to know how it's done?

24:07I couldn't get through it.

24:13But people ask, on Netflix, Netflix has got great movies.

24:16The recent Frankenstein movie on Netflix, those of you who actually read the original novel...

24:24It's a beautiful rendition of the true Frankenstein tale.

24:28And it's done by... Not Benicio Del Toro.

24:31The other Del Toro. Whatever his name is.

24:38And also, the All Quiet on the Western Front Netflix movie is one of the

24:43best war movies I've ever seen.

24:45Maybe even a top 10 war movie.

24:47Definitely top 20. So they do do some good stuff.

24:54brain damage. I think there's a lot of...

24:58Again, I just go back, and I was thinking about it even more as I

25:01watched Little House. I'm just telling you, if you're out there, Full House, Fresh Prince,

30:41Security Conference. Gretchen Whitmer, who I think knows about as much about national security as

30:51I do about SEC football defensive coordinators.

30:56I would just say SEC football.

31:01Wow. I don't think you have to go specifically to the coaching staff.

31:04I think SEC football probably gets you.

31:06You know, you think you know a guy, and then out of nowhere, kicking the

31:10shins. All right. Yeah, fine.

31:12SEC football. Fair point. Now, now, Gretchen Whitmer's over there, and we all know why

31:18she's there, right? But she's, you've got to think, I actually think she may be

31:23in the best, it's funny actually, isn't it?

31:24Because these are two women, if you were asking me, and I guess we can

31:27do this now, bet on the 28 Democrat VP, these two women would be the

31:34top of my list, and maybe even the number one, number two slot.

31:38You need a woman for the ticket.

31:40I don't think you can have a woman on top of the ticket, because they've

31:43tried that a few times, and they've lost.

31:45So I think they're going to get away from that.

31:46I think it probably is going to be Gavin Newsom, could be wrong on that.

31:49But no matter who it is at the top, unless it's one of these two,

31:53but I don't think that's going to happen.

31:54I think Gretchen Whitmer is very likely as a Democrat VP, and actually, this would

32:01be interesting. Who do you think right now is AOC, if you had to place

32:05a bet, AOC or Whitmer for VP?

32:09Forget about who the president is.

32:10VP, which one do you think has the better shot?

32:12I have to say, realistically, it's Whitmer.

32:15I agree with you. Because Michigan is must -win.

32:17There's no world in which Democrats win in 2028 without winning Michigan.

32:24They have to, I mean, look, they have to win Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, probably

32:28all three, but they cannot win without, I think they should have picked Shapiro or

32:33Whitmer in 2028 if Kamala weren't a moron.

32:36If we were going to sell our souls and try to help the bad guys

32:39win, and they hired me, and they said, who should, I would say, you know,

32:42the same claim. They feel the same way.

32:44Michigan, you've got to win Michigan, and more than ever probably for the Democrats going

32:48forward, they've got to win Michigan, and Gretchen Whitmer, I think, could help deliver that

32:52for them. That all is going toward this, though, which is she's over there because

32:58she has to create this perception that she's more than a state governor, that she

33:05could be on the national stage.

33:07And here is how that went for her.

33:09Let's listen to Governor Whitmer weighing in on national security abroad.

33:14On Ukraine, what does victory look like?

33:16No, please, I'd love to hear your answer.

33:23The two that I am on the panel with are much more steeped in foreign

33:28policy than a governor is.

33:30But I do think that Ukraine's independence, keeping their land mass and having the support

33:39of all the allies, I think, is the goal.

33:43From my vantage point, go ahead, Ambassador, do a better job.

33:48Now, can I say something?

33:50She at least knows that she knows nothing and was willing to kind of, so

33:56much, the AOC thing was like, no, I'm really smart.

33:59I'm really smart. I don't know anything, but I'm smart.

34:02And everyone's like, no, you're not.

34:03This one, at least she's willing to be like, I know nothing, but I will

34:07say this, Clay, she should know more than this.

34:09You work in politics. You should have more to say than that.

34:13And you want to be president.

34:14You traveled to Munich for a foreign policy conference.

34:19It's not like she got hit on meet the press.

34:23And the first question was, hey, how do we get Grand Rapids booming again?

34:28Just picking a random Michigan region, right?

34:31An area in which the governor should know.

34:34And then the next question was, where exactly should the line be drawn when it

34:38comes to Ukraine and Russia trying to develop a peace accord?

34:42When you, and she's sitting, doing an interview in Lansing, when you travel to a

34:48foreign policy conference, it doesn't seem ridiculous to me that you could do a bare

34:53minimum of foreign policy research, because otherwise you could just say, hey, I'm so busy

34:59being governor right now. I don't have time to travel to Europe and sit on

35:03a foreign policy panel. And also, again, I come back to, there are some conflicts

35:10which are not very well known or very well covered.

35:13And that could be a complicated question to answer.

35:16Answering a question as an American politician in 2026 about Ukraine and Russia as Whitmer

35:24was asked and about Taiwan and China as AOC was asked.

35:29Probably, Buck, if I were doing PrEP, let's pretend that you and I were sitting

35:33around and we were thinking, hey, what might you get answered in Munich at a

35:37foreign policy conference as a American?

35:41I would think those are number one and number two most likely questions.

35:45This is about NATO, maybe about the UN.

35:49You know, like I can think of other three and four, but I would argue

35:52that's one and two most likely to be asked.

35:55This isn't like, hey, weigh in on the Rohingya crisis and the border dispute between

36:01Bangladesh and Myanmar. No, this is like, that's really vague.

36:07Very few people even know about that as a thing unless you work in international

36:10diplomacy or something, although it is a real thing.

36:12It's pretty nasty. The point is, what you said, which is, this is the absolute

36:17top of the list. Like, okay, I'm just going to lean into this.

36:20So when I went into the football game, the big one, that I don't even

36:24know if I'm allowed to say what it's called on radio because there's all these

36:26rules, but I think I can say the Super Bowl, I think.

36:29I can mention it, right?

36:30Yeah, they always try to protect the use of the phrase Super Bowl, which means

36:34everybody's like, when you watch the big game, whatever, it's the Super Bowl.

36:36Yeah, there's a First Amendment right that the NFL should step off.

36:40Anyway, because you can refer to things when you're talking about things that are going

36:44on in the world without their say -so.

36:45That's pretty, it's pretty annoying that they have that weird policy.

36:48And the Oscars does kind of the same thing, too.

36:50They're like, how dare you?

36:51You know, it's like, but usually that's with video.

36:53Point being, Clay, you gave me some crib notes so that I could go in

36:58there with all the other dads and moms with their kids.

37:01It was like a child -friendly Super Bowl.

37:03So it was basically just like romper room.

37:05It was like people just on tricycles ramming each other and trying to watch.

37:08For people who forgot, I gave you like two points that you could make to

37:12seem like you were sophisticated and then you just withdraw and you've demonstrated enough conversant

37:18knowledge on football. So I'm just saying, I deployed those points and it was like

37:22I was welcome in the football tribe for the day.

37:24It was like, yeah, that's right.

37:26You know, yeah, people thought because they didn't know, they don't know who I am.

37:29These are like friends of friends mostly.

37:30It wasn't my Super Bowl party.

37:32So I see them like normal.

37:33With foreign policy, it's the same thing.

37:36You get prepped by your team.

37:38You know what the main things are you're going to say.

37:40You say those things and everyone feels AOC and Whitmer couldn't even do that.

37:47They couldn't even pretend to know who the QBs are, Clay.

37:50Yeah, and I would also point out Whitmer, to your point, at least laughed off

37:54her ignorance and a lot of people will give you a pass if you just

37:59say, hey, there's a lot of people who know way more about that than I

38:02do. AOC's in Congress. There are constant hearings about what should happen if Taiwan is

38:10invaded by China. This is not I mean, she is in the federal government, which

38:15would be called upon to respond.

38:17Again, I gave you an answer, which is just, hey, I'm a congresswoman right now.

38:21I don't dictate foreign policy.

38:23I think it's important to maintain our policy of strategic ambiguity.

38:27Maybe somewhere down the line, if I'm sitting behind the resolute desk and we get

38:31President AOC, then I will have to make a determination on that as a factual

38:35matter. I hope not, because I hope that China never invades Taiwan and we don't

38:39have to deal with the international implications of that incident.

38:43Boom. That's an answer, Buck.

38:45I didn't need to get prepped.

38:46I'm not in Munich. But if you go to a foreign policy event, you or

38:51I, even if we were super busy with our other jobs, could get briefed for

38:56one hour on the 10 biggest global flashpoints in America and be able to handle

39:03any question on those incidents.

39:05It's just indicative of not doing a bare minimum of homework and also not being

39:11very. It makes me think that all they do, and I think there is a

39:16great deal of this, is just memorize answers.

39:19And I think that's going to become increasingly exposed in the modern era when all

39:24that matters is authenticity. We were just talking about this off air.

39:27Trump creates every single week three stories that 10 years ago would have destroyed any

39:36other politician, right? Every single week he says three things and everybody loses their mind

39:42and they last about 24 hours because people understand that Trump is a bull in

39:48a china shop and they have come to accept the good with the bad.

39:52For better or worse, right?

39:53And the funny part about this is obviously the people with the worst Trump derangement

39:58syndrome still believe, oh, this time, this time we got him.

40:02He's definitely done the unbelievable.

40:04And every time it's like Lucy with the football, they come running up, they're Charlie

40:08Brown, football gets moved around, they fall on their back and they're staring up at

40:12the sky and Trump just gets more powerful.

40:14It's because as long as you fulfill the expectations that you have set, most people

40:20are willing to accept what you are.

40:23And I just look at AOC and Whitmer and I say they're supposed to be

40:27the adults in the room.

40:29These were not adults in the room conversations.

40:31And if you think you're going to be VP, I think AOC is going to

40:34run for president. I think Gretchen Whitmer is going to run for president.

40:38I think these guys are going to get exposed because they haven't done the bare

40:42minimum of homework. Now, the scary thing, Buck, is you could maybe argue none of

40:47this matters. I know. Because you and I are talking about it.

40:50But if you like AOC or you're a Democrat, you just frankly don't care about

40:55the fact that they don't even have functional abilities to answer a question.

40:59Also, AOC screwed up the equator with Venezuela.

41:06Did you see this? I'm sorry.

41:09No, I didn't see this, but I just loved it.

41:11We can grab the audio of that.

41:13She said you can't just go to countries that are below the equator and do

41:17whatever you want to them.

41:19Venezuela is above the equator.

41:20Now, I actually am willing to give a little bit more of a pass on

41:25that, but it goes into the identity politics thing in her mind, right?

41:28If she had just said Latin America, like that is the right answer, but she

41:32decided to try to claim that she knew where the equator was and didn't understand

41:36that she leaned into sixth grade social studies and came up came up snake eyes

41:42on that one. That's that's too bad.

41:44I think that unfortunately, one of the byproducts of social media as increasingly a dominant

41:54form of communication and all the different platforms together is that politicians now are increasingly

42:02their influencers. Yeah, I mean, their social media, they've always been influencers, but I'm saying

42:08their social media influences, their their characters, they are entities online more than anything else.

42:16And so a lot of these things just come into.

42:19Do you like the way someone looks?

42:21Do you like the way they sound?

42:22Do you like their general style and the kinds of things that they say?

42:27If they're an abject moron with a history of terrible decision making and I don't

42:32know that a lot of people really care.

42:35I think that that's increasingly what we're heading toward.

42:37You know, it used to didn't used to be like they would have to go

42:41back to like, I don't know, the 1880s or something.

42:44People would do that. The politician would do the train stop tour and to go

42:48to some places and give some speeches.

42:50But you really, you know, you read the speech in the newspaper and you read

42:54what the party platform was and you kind of just went from there.

42:57Now it's like, I like that guy.

43:00He seems nice. I'm going to vote.

43:02Here's a good question for you.

43:03What percentage of this audience is active on social media?

43:08Oh, I think if you include Facebook, 80 to 90 percent.

43:12Oh, you think that high?

43:13With Facebook, yes. I think we probably have more Facebook people than anything else by

43:18far. I think Twitter is less than 5 percent or X is less than 5

43:21percent. I think TikTok is less than 1 percent.

43:25And what else am I missing?

43:26Instagram is probably like 30, 40 percent, I would say, of our people are on

43:30Instagram. So my point on this is our audience is going to hear these AOC

43:35answers. Is anybody who watches MSN...

43:39SNBC going to ever hear these AOC answers is anybody who watches CNN ever going

43:43to hear these AOC answers are they going to penetrate into I'm not on Facebook

43:48uh personally but I understand that they've kind of pivoted Facebook more back towards hey

43:53here's the kid grandkid photos and less politics um I I mean I have I

43:59think those channels play view it as they view it as a betrayal actually if

44:04you show your home team looking dumb they get mad at you it doesn't matter

44:10that it's news it doesn't matter the other side's talking about it I think if

44:13you're an MS now viewer I love saying it because I had to change the

44:17channel because the brand is such trash if you're a CNN viewer which they're going

44:20to start I mean they're just going to be selling Swarovski crystals on that thing

44:23all day just give it time um if if you look at what their expectations

44:29are with the audience truth that is bothersome to their audience results in anger at

44:35the host and ratings going down no question I by the way we we you

44:41I know you uh make fun of how much I care about this uh CNN

44:45is going to be either independent or it's going to be purchased by Paramount and

44:51there's now talk that all of the Warner Brothers universe which is HBO which is

44:57CNN all these different things maybe swiveling back towards Paramount buying them which is significant

45:02because Larry and David Ellison who are prominent in the uh Paramount world are not

45:09that I almost cursed are not uh uh bonkers right they're not crazy they're not

45:16insane and I do wonder what CNN might look like if they had owners who

45:22were just normal um and so that's going to be maybe decided in the next

45:27six months or so uh even as CNN has lost two -thirds of its audience

45:31in the last several years but that's one to kind of put a pin in

45:34and think about where things might be headed there have you ever come across a

45:38really serious intense bird watcher who can be like oh that's a double crested cormorant

45:44or that's like a ruby -throated warbler or something I know that bird people are

45:48crazy in terms of their interest in bird feeders and everything else I've never known

45:53an actual die because my dad was one for a while but I've come across

45:57some that are truly like next level and how detailed you're like a bird watcher

46:02of corporate media mergers and acquisitions I don't know anybody who follows this stuff as

46:07closely you have like a freakish level of knowledge of the latest board vote on

46:11whether these companies are going to merge I don't know anyone who follows this stuff

46:14it's impressive but I'm just saying you're like the weird guy with the big binoculars

46:18she's like oh my gosh can you believe this new offer a speckled house finch
