3:06You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast.
3:08Make sure you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get
3:13your podcasts. So I thought I would be sending you off into this weekend with
3:19a podcast on Iran where we have an air campaign going, destroying the most.
3:24But instead, actually, the top searched item right now is Michelle Obama on X.
3:30People are very into finding out what is going on with Michelle Obama.
3:36And so I was just curious, how is it possible that when I'm talking to
3:41you now, she is the top trending search.
3:44This is like a fascinating case study in how the media works.
3:48And then I see this Fox News story.
3:50Michelle Obama claims no way the Trump administration's behavior would be acceptable from the first
3:57black family in the White House.
4:01Now, she said this on a podcast.
4:03I have to say, she is so obsessed with two things.
4:08One, of course, race. She's just, everything is race -based.
4:10Everything comes through the prism of race with Michelle Obama, always.
4:15But also, she is truly such a malcontent.
4:20This is a woman who is incredibly wealthy, who has led an unbelievably privileged life,
4:28who is in no way, she is not particularly smart.
4:32She is not particularly beautiful.
4:33She's not particularly talented. She's not particularly, she's just married to a guy who is
4:38a politician, who is the most important Democrat politician, really, of the 21st century.
4:44And so, she is treated like an incredible global celebrity.
4:50I mean, she is a global celebrity.
4:52And there are books that are put out that she didn't write, of course, didn't
4:55write a word of, but they're in her name, and they sell, because people are
4:57like, oh, Michelle Obama, I need, this is the thing, you buy a Michelle Obama
5:01book not to read it, because there's no point in reading it.
5:05You buy it so that you have it somewhere on a coffee table, maybe on
5:11a bookshelf if you have enough books for that, which most libs don't, but you
5:15put it somewhere so people see, oh, I have Michelle Obama books.
5:19It's like a bumper sticker.
5:20The pages could all be blank in the Michelle Obama book, and you'd have the...
5:24same effect but uh this i just thought this is fascinating that you're going off
5:29into the weekend and i'm seeing that michelle obama is that the number one trend
5:34right now or trending story uh and i i saw my friend megan kelly has
5:40has come out uh today and is absolutely going after just all the whining and
5:49and all of the just nasty and condescension and complaining from michelle obama the notion
5:56that this woman was ever somebody who should have been taken seriously as a presidential
6:00candidate it was always absurd i always thought it was absurd she's not likable you
6:05know i get a people's a lot of people don't like barack obama's policies i
6:08didn't like barack obama's policies but he had a he had a cadence to his
6:12speech he had a a swagger he had uh you know he'd do that voice
6:19like this and the whole thing you know he it worked he got two terms
6:25he got to look at what happened and what worked uh michelle obama brings not
6:29brings none of that to the table none of those theatrics of politics to the
6:34table uh and and all she does is just whine and complain all she does
6:41is just whine and complain it's really uh remarkable and such that she can get
6:46in the center all she's doing is complain and she'll be in the center of
6:49the news cycle at least for people who are right of center because they just
6:52can't believe it she's still complaining she's still complaining it's like what are you complaining
6:59about you have an easy life now i know okay everyone has a quiet struggle
7:04everyone has their challenges i have challenges you have challenges i get it but by
7:08all the objective metrics one can look at she's got a great deal more money
7:13than she'll ever be able to spend more houses more celebrity love more but you
7:18know i'll tell you something and maybe now i'm starting to sound like the gray
7:21beard that i am but the older i get the more i realize that people
7:25at first i think love the adulation of crowds because it's intoxicating but if you're
7:35actually a person who is grounded who has a relationship with god who has uh
7:40a sense a true sense of humility that all of us should because we are
7:45all i mean not just we're all sinners but we are all frail in our
7:50own ways we're all one you know one slip on the concrete away from a
7:55coma i mean you know any one of us could have a bad thing happen
7:58at any time and we're all there's some for there's a fragility to human existence
8:02is what i'm saying and so you should have some level of humility and what
8:05you realize is as as you get prominent or you get better known uh that
8:13you the adulation of crowds for people who become obsessed with that or become intoxicated
8:18by it it is like a drug that wears off because these people don't actually
8:24know them so if you get your sense of self -worth from people who don't
8:29know you thinking you're so great and talking about how great you are i think
8:35that inevitably is a uh becomes a black hole that cannot be filled i think
8:41inevitably it just collapses into yeah but they don't these people don't actually know me
8:45this is why i always say with what i do um for example in media
8:51it is i i love when people love my work i want people to love
8:58my work i want to do good work on radio i want to do good
9:02work writing my book manufacturing delusion which you should all get a copy of if
9:06you're listening to this podcast you haven't gotten a copy of manufacturing delusion which is
9:10a phenomenal book by the way new york times bestseller i wrote it all myself
9:13why have you not gotten a copy of the book please do i would really
9:17appreciate the support it's actually a really good book you'll learn a lot it's cool
9:20you'll like reading it um but i i my i i always say that i
9:25want it to be about the work that i do the insights the information the
9:29knowledge whatever it may be uh because yeah of course i i can't know everybody
9:35that consumes my content so i i want them to love my content and to
9:41the degree that i can be a positive force in anyone's life through that content
9:43it's a blessing and i i embrace it but i also know that you know
9:48the same way that you can't get your sense of self -worth from people that
9:51you've never met you you because if you did by the way the people that
9:54hate you and i have people that hate me which is crazy because i'm so
9:57nice but people that hate me on the internet and stuff and you just have
10:00to separate yourself from that it's about the work it's about what you do but
10:03for someone like michelle obama she has gone through so much uh people people have
10:09have propped her up and and turned her into almost like a a demigod of
10:14the democrats and based on nothing and they don't know her and they haven't spent
10:19any time with her and now that they're getting to know her like at least
10:22people that consume like radio host content someone like me for three hours a day
10:25they know a lot about me they know what i'm like michelle obama was all
10:29a media construct they don't know anything about this person really and now they're getting
10:33to know more they like her less and less uh so megan kelly calling her
10:38out totally correct on that uh and and you're just going to see more of
10:41this but i just again it's not a big news story except anytime michelle obama
10:45starts complaining people just lose their minds and i get it because how can this
10:49person be complaining so much uh we're talking christy noem here in a second some
10:54of you're going to get mad at me but others are just going to say
10:56thank you buck for um telling the truth on that the whole time the whole
11:00time for years for years not just uh recently on the gnome situation but we'll
11:06get to that look gold makes sense birch gold group is our sponsor here that's

11:46gold so you too can have peace of mind text buck to 98 98 98
11:51text buck to 98 98 98 all right christy gnomes out at dhs some of
11:58you probably don't want me to talk about it at all i'm going to a
12:00little bit some of you probably really want me to talk about it because uh
12:05the warning signs were all there my friends this was not a person who was
12:10capable of doing this job this is a person who has clearly based on her
12:16public conduct i don't know her personally i've only interviewed her a couple of times
12:19ever i think twice never had a conversation with her face to face i'm judging
12:24her only by her public conduct what she says in public what she does in
12:28public this is not personal um she was never up for this job she was
12:32a poor choice for the job she hurt the trump agenda in the job and
12:38uh showed herself to be self -obsessed and quite honestly just nothing but a liability
12:45for president trump and his whole team they should have removed her from this job
12:49many months ago and uh unfortunately this is a case where loyalty over all else
12:58isn't necessarily the best way to fill a position in government and what we found
13:05out when she tried to throw trump under the bus with the oh he approved
13:08my 225 million dollar ad budget which was just a big it was a christy
13:13gnome for president stealth campaign you have to understand this 225 million dollars of ads
13:19when you're at dhs starring you i mean are you kidding me she was doing
13:25this because she was building her brand building her brand she was going to run
13:29for president at a minimum she would want to try to slide in as a
13:33vp on the next ticket and but she was going to run for president herself
13:36and that was the whole and clearly people around her were telling her that this
13:40was the the way to you know build up her her profile so instead of
13:44focusing on a good job she was taking all these photo ops with machine guns
13:48and things like this it's like why would she ever take a photo op with
13:50a gun i mean with with like a tactical you know tactical setup rifle you
13:56know she's got a an m4 with uh you know an eotech on it and
14:02a laser and what is this you're you're a desk bureaucrat with a lot of
14:07power in the bureaucracy you're not you're not kicking in doors the whole thing was
14:10bizarre the whole thing was just absurd so uh they let that go for a
14:16long time but and i'm not even getting into the personal stuff she says it's
14:20not true okay uh i'll let you assess all this for yourself here here's what
14:25i do want to say about this we have no time to waste the democrats
14:30are going to come back into power the democrats are going to be insane when
14:35they get back in to power they are going to seek reprisals they're going to
14:40push the most insane policies it is just a matter of time trump has to
14:44get as far in saving this country as he can he has to take this
14:49in the most positive direction he can and there's no time to waste and i
14:54am and on the issue of deportations and the issue of how dhs is run
14:58we did not have this year to waste on somebody who seems more interested in
15:03her hair extensions and her photo ops than getting the job done and that is
15:07just a fact and people who didn't see this a long time ago look christy
15:11gnome came on my radio show uh came on our radio show with clay um
15:15maybe almost five years ago and she lied and i didn't like that and she
15:20was lying she was lying and i knew she was lying because i had a
15:24tweet in front of me where she said something that she said she had never
15:27said she was lying but people got mad at me because they believe that oh
15:31i'm just from the ranch and i'm an all -american girl they believe the pr
15:35campaign around her well now that trump has had to fire her in a humiliating
15:41fashion i might add and really fire her and for why she has been fired
15:46i'm just here to say i was right and i always tell you the truth
15:50even when some people are going to tell me that they don't like what i
15:53have to say i will always tell you the truth she has always been a
15:57dishonest person she has always been somebody who was a problem for the conservative movement
16:02she was not honest even about how she handled covid in her state she was
16:06actually far more willing to shut down than she pretended to be it was the
16:09state legislature in south dakota that would not let her shut things down and then
16:14she took the credit for it there's so much i could get into here but
16:17she got into this game where she would she would just say what she wanted
16:20and because some guys are like oh she's a lot of men a lot of
16:23men are the ones who are particularly susceptible to this they say oh she's so
16:27pretty she's so pretty so i am you know going to believe whatever she says
16:31come on guys we're better than that right um and i'm not judging her looks
16:37one way or the other the photo op thing i think was gross but it's
16:40not about whether she's pretty or not it's about we don't have time to waste
16:44this trump administration has a year to keep getting things done less than a year
16:48now before we go into a midterm where if democrats take the house they grind
16:52all this to a halt trump can still do some things with executive order but
16:56they're going to be a lot of federal judges who slow him down so the
17:00deportations issue is is i think existential for the future of the country and i
17:05don't think that no one was the right person for this and i've never thought
17:08she was the right person for this and anybody who's followed me knows i've been
17:11highly skeptical and i hated the thing about writing about killing the dog and also
17:16about lying she lied about meeting the uh dictator of north korea kim jong -un
17:21i think it was on at the time maybe it was ill i don't know
17:26i know kim jong -il at the time now it's on um she lied about
17:29that in a book that she at least signed off on so this isn't a
17:34this isn't an i told you so for some of you because you've been with
17:37me too you've agreed and i don't like to do i told you so but
17:40i will just note that i saw this coming i am not surprised and trump
17:44made the right decision here and we have to be all systems go and he's
17:49done such a great job you know rubio and and uh and besin and vance
17:55and hegseth and go down the line these people are all performing at the top
18:00level and we need that the weak link was the top of dhs and that's
18:04gone that's a good thing uh i think it's it's a good thing for the
18:09country it's not about my personal view of it although that certainly comes out in
18:12all of this too all right it's time for a little spring cleaning and i
