Trump Panics as Hormuz Plan Rejected

3/16/202616 mincomplete
0:00Donald Trump is panicking this morning as all of his former allies who he has
0:05insulted and attacked are not coming to his side, do not want to help him
0:10in his disastrous war against Iran.
0:13He is getting rejected by one country after another as Donald Trump is saying, we
0:19need you to go into the Strait of Hormuz with us, secure the Strait of
0:23Hormuz with us. The UK is saying, no, we don't even think you have a
0:27plan. Germany's saying, are you even making a formal request?
0:31Hey, we're not going to do that.
0:33Country after country is following that lead.
0:36We will show you what is going down in just a moment.
0:38But here's what Donald Trump's been posting this morning.
0:41He's been posting memes and then writing, no panicans, peace through strength.
0:47And it's a photo of a B -2 bomber with an American flag on it.
0:51And then Donald Trump says, no panicans because nothing says I'm not panicking.
0:57Then shouting out loud during a war, I'm not panicking.
1:00I'm not panicking. You know, all the great generals and admirals in American military history
1:06would give these great speeches.
1:07This isn't a panic. This isn't a panic.
1:09Everyone, everything's OK. Everything's OK.
1:12I'm just seeking a bailout from Europe the way I try to seek a bailout
1:16from my dad when my casinos were going bankrupt.
1:19You know how Donald Trump's dad, Fred, had to bail him out of his bailed
1:22casinos and they still went bankrupt.
1:24Yep, history repeats itself. And now we, the people, are getting screwed by Donald Trump's
1:29bankruptcies and idiocracy. Then Donald Trump posts this from a guy named Mark Thiessen.
1:35It says, you know who's not having buyer's remorse or panicking or looking for an
1:40F on off -ramp? Donald Trump.
1:42Every statement he makes is resolute.
1:45He spent more than a month planning this operation and is executing it without flinching.
1:51I mean, do you think we're all stupid?
1:53This entire operation has been botched.
1:55You didn't explain what you were doing to anybody and you rushed in to invade
1:59Iran because you believe Netanyahu was going to do it first.
2:03And this is part of the...
2:04Plan right here. Front page, Financial Times.
2:08Donald Trump warns that NATO faces a very bad future if allies fail to help
2:15U .S. in Iran. You know, usually you don't do the disastrous war and then
2:20beg for help. You try to, like, build a coalition.
2:23The article goes on to say, if there's no response or if it's a negative
2:28response, I think it will be very bad for the future of NATO.
2:32Things are looking very bad for the future of NATO.
2:35That's what Donald Trump is saying right now.
2:37Meanwhile, Greece is saying that Greece has no plan to engage in operations at the
2:43Hormuz Strait. The German defense minister is saying Germany will not participate with its military
2:50in securing the Strait of Hormuz.
2:52UK's Prime Minister, Kierre Starmer, we will not be drawn into the wider Iran war.
2:58Opening the Strait of Hormuz is not some simple task.
3:02When the fighting stops, we will need some sort of negotiated agreement with Iran, is
3:08what the U .K. is saying, that we need to negotiate with Iran.
3:11And we're seeing this over and over again.
3:13We're now seeing it with the U .K., but we were seeing it with France.
3:16We were seeing it with Italy, talking about bilateral negotiations with Iran, because the U
3:23.S. is not a reliable partner anymore.
3:25And so the only way to get reliable guarantees is through bilateral negotiations.
3:30And then Starmer says the Strait of Hormuz will not be some sort of NATO
3:36mission. We want to be very clear about that.
3:39Meanwhile, Iran's foreign minister, Aragchi, is saying, I think the U .S.
3:44has already learned a good lesson.
3:46He's also saying, Iran is not requesting a ceasefire.
3:52We have not sent any messages that we want to ceasefire.
3:55And then he went on to say, when we say we don't want a ceasefire,
4:00it isn't because we seek war.
4:02This war must end in a way that ensures our enemies never again think of
4:07repeating these attacks. They have now seen what kind of nation they are dealing with,
4:11one that will defend itself and will take this fight as far as necessary.
4:15Now, back in the White House, Caroline Levitt, Donald Trump's chief propagandist, was asked this
4:21morning, you know, Trump is saying that other countries need to step up and guard
4:27the Strait of Hormuz and secure it.
4:29So, Caroline, why should other countries that were not consulted about this war now put
4:35their troops in harm's way?
4:36Watch what she says. Here, play this clip.
4:39Caroline, President Trump says that other countries should now step up to safeguard ships in
4:44the streets of Hormuz, why should other countries that were consulted about this war are
4:49involved in this war, now put their troops in harm's way to the Strait of
4:54Hormuz? Because these other countries are benefiting greatly from the United States military taking out
4:58the threat of Iran. The rogue Iranian regime has long not just posed a threat
5:04to the United States of America, but of course to our Gulf and Arab partners
5:07in the region, as you see.
5:08I believe Iran has struck more than 300 civilian targets in the Gulf region.
5:15If you think about Europe, their ballistic missile capability that the United States military is
5:20currently wiping out was a direct and imminent threat to our European allies, as well
5:25as our bases in the region, which is why President Trump took this action in
5:29the first place. So these countries are absolutely benefiting from ensuring that Iran can never
5:33obtain a nuclear weapon. This is something not just the United States, but the entire
5:37Western world has agreed with for many, many years.
5:40So I think the president is absolutely right to call on these countries to do
5:44more, to help the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz so that we
5:48can stop this terrorist regime from restricting the free flow of energy.
5:52And the fact that they are doing so just underscores why President Trump needed to
5:56take this action in the first place.
5:57And Caroline Leavitt is asked.
5:59So Donald Trump told the UK just a few days ago, we don't want you
6:04in the Strait of Hormuz.
6:05We don't want your ships anywhere near this war.
6:08Get out of here. We don't want you.
6:10So why is Donald Trump now asking them for help after he posted, we don't
6:15want you? And by the way, Donald Trump insulted all of our NATO allies, the
6:20UK and all our NATO allies who fought alongside the United States in Afghanistan and
6:25died in the. wars with the United States and said they really didn't participate in
6:30the front line. So why should anybody help Caroline here play this clip?
6:34This action in the first place.
6:35The president just told the UK a few days ago that he doesn't need their
6:39ships. And now he says he does.
6:41The president spoke on that last night.
6:43He said that he wished the UK had stepped up sooner and quicker.
6:47But he continues to speak with our allies in Europe and is calling on them
6:51to do more, just as he did when he called on them to step up
6:54with respect to their defense spending in NATO.
6:56He's calling them to do more here.
6:58And I think you'll see that come to fruition.

8:25Meanwhile, the propaganda in Iran is utilizing Donald Trump's weakness.
8:30I mean, as an American, this is so embarrassing that Donald Trump is behaving so
8:35weak and so pathetic that he's giving us a lot of confidence.
8:37I mean, as an American, this is so embarrassing that he's giving us a Iran
8:38the ability to do propaganda like this.
8:40They have him on the street basically saying, help me, open Hormuz.
8:46Help me, open Hormuz. They're mocking the United States president as being so weak and
8:51pathetic. And he looks so obviously weak and pathetic.
8:54We all see it. Our former allies see it.
8:57The entire world sees it.
8:59Trust me, our enemies, Putin sees it.
9:01Xi Jinping sees it. That's for sure.
9:04More from Caroline Levitt right here.
9:06And she's like, yes, I just want to be clear.
9:09He's speaking with our allies to encourage them to do more in the Strait of
9:13Hormuz. Encourage them to do more?
9:15You started this unlawful war.
9:18You escalated. Now you're begging for help.
9:21You're begging for a bailout.
9:22They ain't giving it to you.
9:24Here, play this clip. So yes, the president is speaking with our allies in Europe
9:28and also many of our partners in the Gulf and Arab world to encourage them
9:33to step up, to do more, to open the Strait of Hormuz.
9:38And our NATO allies especially need to step up.
9:41Look, President Trump has been very frank with our friends in NATO for a very
9:45long time. He got them to increase their defense spending up to 5 percent.
9:49And now he's calling on them to do the right thing.
9:52Because again, the United States of America is leading the way not just to support
9:56and protect our American assets and bases in the Middle East, but also to defend
10:01Europe in the Middle East and the rest of the world from the rogue Iranian
10:05regime from obtaining a nuclear bomb.
10:07Caroline, Democrats. Then we heard from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent this morning on the timeline
10:13for the war ending. And he's like, oh, we've only been at war for two
10:17weeks, two weeks. This is not some crisis.
10:21This is good. This is what we wanted.
10:24Here, play this clip. And then finally wrap it up.
10:26I got to ask this to wrap it up.
10:28Expectation of timeline on this, because with every passing day, with every passing week, an
10:32103rd week, markets going up, fertilizers, gas, everything.
10:36And the world is really worried about shortages and also the inflationary effect here and
10:43abroad. Yeah. Brent, can we just be clear here?
10:45Okay. It's two weeks. It's two weeks.
10:48And, you know. I know the media likes to move things along.
10:51We see these headlines, and that's part of the Iranian strategy.
10:54And it's very unfortunate that because of a dislike for President Trump, not you, but
10:59a lot of mainstream media are trying to speed this up, trying to make it
11:03into some crisis that it's not.
11:05And on the other side of this, if you look at longer dated crude, you
11:09look at future inflation expectations, they're both very well anchored.
11:14And this will end. And I don't know how many weeks it will be, but
11:19on the other side of this, the world will be safer and we will be
11:23better supplied. So the backwardation of the market you think is correct?
11:27$80 oil in a couple months?
11:28I think probably much lower.
11:31Then you have Donald Trump's spokesperson at the State Department, Tammy Bruce.
11:38And I mean, this level of propaganda would make North Korea jealous.
11:42It is making North Korea jealous.
11:44Watch this. And I'm certainly not going to speculate on what that choice will be,
11:47because I trust him. It's always a pleasure having you on the show.
11:51It's my pleasure. You're a diplomat these days.
11:53Well, you know, it's easy to do with President Trump because he's transparent, he's clear,
11:57and he gets the job done.
11:59It's exactly the right man at the right time.
12:02Got it. Always a pleasure.
12:03Thanks very much, Tammy. Thank you, sir.
12:04We'll see you again soon.
12:05As Duncan Weldon explains, pretty staggering that that Financial Times article that Trump gave the
12:12where Trump gave the interview opens up with Donald Trump attacking NATO.
12:16If NATO doesn't help us sort out this mess, there will be problems.
12:21And then the article ends with Donald Trump defending Russia when with respect to, yeah,
12:27Russia might be helping target American soldiers.
12:30Yeah, they may be killing Americans and targeting our assets abroad.
12:33But really, that's fair. That's fair because we started this.
12:38And look what we're doing in Ukraine, Donald Trump says.
12:41We're helping Ukraine against Russia.
12:43So, of course, Russia is going to kill American soldiers.
12:45I understand what they're doing.
12:47By the way, these are like direct quotes from Donald Trump.
12:50When he was asked about Russia killing Americans, I don't know one way or another,
12:55but you could also make the case that we helped Ukraine to an extent.
12:59It's hard to say. It's hard to say.
13:00you're targeting us when we are helping Ukraine.
13:03Yeah, Donald Trump is taking the side of Russia right there.
13:08A few other points I want to make.
13:10Number one, as I mentioned before, we're seeing Iran engage in these bilateral negotiations with
13:15other countries. As the Financial Times also reports, talks with Iran yield results, India says.
13:23India is engaged in direct negotiations with Iran.
13:26So as the United States attacked India, as the United States tried to strengthen its,
13:34you know, whatever with Pakistan, because Pakistan was investing in Donald Trump, putting money in
13:39Donald Trump's crypto. By the way, Pakistan put out a statement standing in strong solidarity
13:44with Iran today as Donald Trump destroyed America's relationship with India because Pakistan was saying
13:50that Donald Trump should get a Nobel Peace Prize.
13:51But Pakistan is standing with Iran today.
13:54Let me be very clear about that.
13:55But India is having these direct negotiations with Iran, and they're saying that they're having
14:01positive results in those negotiations.
14:03So lots of countries are saying, all right, see it, U .S., we're going to
14:06do direct negotiations. I mentioned this in the video earlier today, but it bears repeating.
14:12You can see what Dubai's airport, the busiest travel hub in the world, looks like.
14:17I'm not sure it's going to be the busiest for long, frankly.
14:21International passenger traffic was closed after a fuel depot near the Dubai International Airport was
14:29hit by a Iranian drone.
14:32And then one other point I'll make this morning that deserves attention.
14:36I know we focused a lot about the news on the war, of course, Donald
14:41Trump's unlawful war. But we also learned this morning a 41 -year -old former Afghan
14:46Special Forces soldier, Mohammed Nazir Patayal, has died in ICE custody less than 24 hours
14:53after his arrest in Texas.
14:56Patayal, who fought alongside U .S.
14:58troops for a decade, as Dropside explains, was detained Friday morning in Richardson while dropping
15:04his children off at school.
15:06After complaining of chest pain during processing in Dallas, he was transported to Parkland.
15:11hospital where he died Saturday.
15:13He leaves behind a wife and six children, including an 18 -month -old U .S.
15:18citizen. Though he arrived legally in 2021, ICE cited expired parole and recent nonviolent charges
15:24as grounds for his detention.
15:26Advocacy groups are now demanding a transparent investigation into that.
15:31So ICE and Border Patrol are still killing and still killing people here in the
15:34United States on the streets, people who fought alongside our military, and especially now as
15:40we're in an unlawful war as well.
15:43And we're in war. I mean, it just, to me, it's just horrible what's happening.
