0:43your podcasts. Has Trump already won the Iran war?
0:48He certainly thinks so. We watched his address that happened earlier this week, and we
0:56were left with a whole bunch of important data points, but most importantly of all,
1:02Trump believes, according to everything that he said, the Iran war has achieved its objective.
1:08Now, to be clear, he is saying the objective is not regime change, and as
1:13I have been saying for weeks, regime change, true regime change is not going to
1:17happen. In my opinion, it is almost an impossibility based on the facts on the
1:23ground. Trump is claiming that because so much of the previous senior leadership is gone,
1:28there is something of a change in regime.
1:32Now, there is truth to that.
1:34You definitely have different people running the show in Iran now, but they may be
1:38running it with the same underlying ideology and the same approach to their neighbors going
1:44forward and certainly the same approach internally in Iran.
1:48And so that is something that we have to take a close look at.
1:54But first off, he says that it is, in fact, the case that Americans can
1:59look forward to a Iran where we no longer have to worry about them having
2:04nukes. Tonight, every American can look forward to a day when we are finally free
2:09from the wickedness of Iranian aggression and the specter of nuclear blackmail.
2:15Because of the actions we have taken, we are on the cusp of ending Iran's
2:19sinister threat to America and the world.
2:22And I'll tell you, the world is watching.
2:24And when we do, when it's all over, the United States will be safer, stronger,
2:31more prosperous, and greater than it has ever been before.
2:34Is that the case? We will be free of nuclear blackmail.
2:41Is that really the situation?
2:43I certainly hope so. Here's the, let me give you a little bit of the
2:47pro and con here, or the two sides of these issues.
2:51Coming from the perspective of wanting to see success in this mission, because I want
2:56to see success in the country, I want America to be safe, I want American
2:59interests to be protected, and I want America to be able to focus back on
3:02America and not Iran as soon as possible.
3:08The destruction of the Iranian infrastructure around the nuclear program is clearly more now than
3:13it has ever been. So the case that this is more of a set, more
3:19than just a setback for Iran, that this could be a deletion, if you will,
3:23an eradication of their nuclear program, certainly you can push that as an idea, and
3:31Trump believes it. And he is saying that this is not something that was, and
3:38Trump said this in this speech, here he is saying, this is not something we
3:41could have allowed to happen.
3:42They were involved in the attack on the USS Cole, and they carried out the
3:48countless other heinous acts, including the blood, just horrible, bloody atrocities of October 7th in
3:57Israel, something that most people have never seen anything like it.
4:02This murderous regime also recently killed 45 ,000 of their own people who were protesting
4:09in Iran. 45 ,000 dead.
4:12For these terrorists to have nuclear weapons would be an intolerable threat.
4:17That the most violent and thuggish regime on Earth would be free to carry out
4:22their campaigns of terror, coercion, conquest, and mass murder from behind a nuclear shield.
4:29I will never let that happen.
4:31So, not something that we could ever allow to happen, that they would be able
4:37to commit mass murder from behind a nuclear shield.
4:40I get that, and I can appreciate the mentality here.
4:43There are certainly echoes of the decision to go into Iraq around this, and that's
4:48what I think concerns people.
4:50That's why the red line for so many on the Trump side of things, and
4:55people that have supported Trump all along, is we cannot have boots on the ground.
4:58It looks like they have moved away from the plans discussed, or at least have
5:02delayed plans like landing U .S.
5:06troops along the shoreline of the Strait of Hormuz to secure it.
5:09Looks like that's not happening, at least hasn't happened yet.
5:11And also seizing the enriched uranium inside of Iran, every last bit of it, taking
5:17the scuba tank -like canisters of enriched uranium out of the country using U .S.
5:22forces to do it. It looks like that is at least on hold, right?
5:24now so things can change very quickly though trump is also saying that we are
5:31going to continue this is where he gets into the timeline we're going to continue
5:34to hit them hard in the weeks ahead we're going to hit them extremely hard
5:41over the next two to three weeks we're going to bring them back to the
5:46stone ages where they belong in the meantime discussions are ongoing regime change was not
5:53our goal we never said regime change but regime change has occurred because of all
5:59of their original leaders death they're all dead the new group is less radical and
6:06much more reasonable yet if during this period of time no deal is made we
6:11have our eyes on key targets if there is no deal we are going to
6:16hit each and every one of their electric generating plants very hard and probably simultaneously
6:22we have not hit their oil even though that's the easiest target of all because
6:28it would not give them even a small chance of survival or rebuilding but we
6:34could hit it and it would be gone and there's not a thing they could
6:38do about it can that change the negotiation dramatically at some point you would think
6:48the iranian people would be or rather the iranian regime would be so beaten down
6:53and beaten up i guess those go in opposition but you know what i'm saying
6:58it would be so uh they've had their asses kick so badly that they would
7:02want to get some deal so they can scrape together whatever infrastructure they have left
7:08as a regime to continue to stay in power the other side of this though
7:12you'll notice i'm gonna give you a little bit on the one hand on the
7:14other the other side of this is you also can cross over a threshold here
7:18where the iranian people feel more inclined to coalesce around whatever is left of the
7:25regime because if you're seen as beating up on somebody who can't fight back at
7:30all and if you're seen as punishing the iranian people you know trump's talked about
7:35hitting the and hitting their like power plants for example if you plunge the entire
7:40nation of iran into darkness for days or even weeks on end and no power
7:44at all to run generators to run refrigeration to run you know hospitals etc people
7:50might just say hold on a second now we're now you have collective punishment of
7:54the iranian people not attacks on the regime so i do think there are limits
7:57to that i think trump understands that as well but i think there are limits
8:01to how much he can turn up that pressure and so trump is laying out
8:07here that the objective was always just what we have seen which is to attack
8:14the military and security infrastructure and nuclear infrastructure of iran uh such that for at
8:20least years to come it will not be a threat now how long will that
8:23last how that this is this is a big part of of my question right
8:28now uh of what's going on here what happens when the oil starts flowing again
8:34and iran has full bank accounts and we'll get into this our sponsor is pure
8:38talk pure talk is my cell phone service company and i chose them because their
8:42service is incredible and their pricing redefined the industry for the benefit of all pure
8:46talks a veteran -led company they've donated over a half million dollars to to america's
8:50warrior partnership which is an organization on the front lines of preventing veteran suicide and
8:55pure chalk pure talk utilizes the same tower same network and same 5g coverage is
9:00one of the big wireless companies that are a fraction of the price go to
9:03pure talk .com slash buck to make the switch today pure talk .com slash buck
9:08again that's pure talk .com slash buck okay how long do we have here before
9:17um the iranian regime is able to come back or at least something along the
9:24lines of what we've seen here can come back that is my concern with not
9:27having true regime change eventually they're going to have access to a lot of money
9:32because of the oil reserves and the oil sales that they'll do on the global
9:36market people will buy it russia china others europe they will buy that iranian oil
9:41and iran will start rebuilding this stuff now it might take years to get anywhere
9:46near back to where they currently are and so is that enough of a victory
9:50for president trump i think to say mission accomplished on this one yes assuming that
9:55is the case i think it is enough of a victory but in the more
9:58immediate term we have the challenge of the oil and the strait of hormuz getting
10:04through uh i'm sorry the oil getting through the strait of hormuz and that's a
10:10big deal and he's been saying other countries need to step up and and do
10:15this so to those countries that can't get fuel many of which refuse to get
10:21involved in the decapitation of iran we had to do it ourselves i have a
10:26suggestion number one buy oil from the united states of america we have plenty we
10:31have so much and number two build up some delayed courage should have done it
10:36before should have done it with us as we asked go to the strait and
10:40just take it protect it um i don't think they're going to step up i
10:46think they're going to leave this to uh to trump and to the united states
10:50because they can also pay to square to usadas and see that concept keeps getting
10:52wisdeka reactions to youtube to do this to uh we'll introduce this to the cap
10:52um so if you guys have the question attention to our own political realities here
10:55they know that trump is facing a his party is facing a midterm election battle
11:00and i think in many ways their belief is that trump is gonna be because
11:06trump has started we started this war along with the israelis against iran or we
11:10started this this mission this operation whatever you want to call it and they figure
11:15it's our mess we'll have to fix it and trump trying to pressure nato allies
11:19to getting involved here i i don't see that working so this is where we
11:25could see again trump saying things are great right now well are we going to
11:29deploy u .s troops to the shores of her moves because it feels like right
11:33now no it was yes things can change very quickly here people keep assessing this
11:39as though the game is over and we have a scoreboard to look at of
11:42what happened what our losses were what our wins were we don't this is still
11:46ongoing and that's why it's important to be very honest about what has happened and
11:51what has not happened and what could happen uh sounding almost like rumsfeld known knowns
11:56known unknowns and unknown unknowns right but there are possibilities here of this becoming i
12:01think a much deeper and and more uh sustained u .s intervention unless we keep
12:07very clear lines about things like the deployment of u .s troops and that's where
12:12um that's where things need to be otherwise i believe that the republican party is
12:17still firmly behind donald trump as commander -in -chief seeing this thing through uh time
