1:05Welcome in. Monday edition. It is a major news breaking Monday.

1:11We hope all of you had fantastic weekends as we predicted.

1:16Going into the weekend, major news coming from Iran, where early, early in the morning

1:23U .S. time on Saturday morning, we began to rain down a ton of missiles

1:32and an attack on Iran alongside of Israel, wiping out, according to President Trump, 49

1:40top Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Khamenei, who had been in charge for decades there.

1:48That attack happening in the daylight hours in Iran on Saturday, stunning much of the

1:56Iranian leadership. Maybe, Buck, they should have Zoomed.

2:01But instead, they all gathered directly together in the daylight hours, and now many of

2:08them are gone. President Trump is speaking as we are coming on with you, live

2:15from the White House. And I think the primary question is, who will rule Iran?

2:21We will get into that quite a lot going forward.

2:25But let me go ahead and hit you with the absolute latest comments from President

2:30Trump, just made in the last few moments in the White House.

2:35These are cuts 31. Let's start with this.

2:40This is cut 31, as Trump has just updated the absolute latest moments knowledge from

2:48Iran, cut 31. Today, the United States military continues to carry out large -scale combat

2:54operations in Iran to eliminate the grave threats posed to America by this terrible terrorist

3:02regime. Following our obliteration of Iran's nuclear program in Operation Midnight Hammer a short while

3:09ago, we warned Iran not to make any attempt to rebuild at a different location

3:14because they were unable to use the ones that we so powerfully blew up.

3:20But they ignored those warnings and refused to cease their pursuit of nuclear weapons.

3:25In addition, the regime's conventional ballistic missile program was growing rapidly and dramatically, and this

3:32posed a very clear, colossal threat to America and our forces stationed overseas.

3:37The regime already had missiles capable of hitting Europe and our bases, both local and

3:42overseas, and would soon have had missiles capable of reaching our beautiful America.

3:48The purpose of this fast -growing missile program was to shield their nuclear weapon development

3:53and make it extraordinarily difficult for anyone to stop them from making these highly forbidden

3:59by us nuclear weapons. Okay, let me hit a couple more, Buck, then I'll bring

4:05you in, get your immediate reaction.

4:08CIA was very involved, according to reports.

4:1132, Trump lays out the military objectives in Iran right now.

4:16Our objectives are clear. First, we're destroying Iran's missile capabilities, and you see that happening

4:22on an hourly basis, and their capacity to produce brand -new ones, and pretty good

4:27ones they make. Second, we're annihilating their navy.

4:32We've knocked out already 10 ships there at the bottom of the sea.

4:35Third, we're ensuring that the world's number one sponsor of terror can never obtain a

4:41nuclear weapon. Never going to have a nuclear weapon.

4:43I said that from the beginning.

4:45They're never going to have a nuclear weapon.

4:47They were on the road to getting one legitimately through a deal that was signed

4:53foolishly by our country. And finally, we're ensuring that the Iranian regime cannot continue to

5:01arm, fund, and direct terrorist armies outside of their borders.

5:06And we thought we had a deal, but then they backed out, and they came

5:10back, and we thought we had a deal, and they backed out.

5:12I said, you can't deal with these people.

5:14You've got to do it the right way.

5:17Okay, and then last, cut 33, four lost lives from U .S.

5:22service members. Trump says we grieve.

5:24for them and gives you a projected timeline of how long this mission will take.

5:30Today, we grieve for the four heroic American service members who have been killed in

5:35action and send our love and support to their families.

5:39In their memory, we continue this mission with ferocious, unyielding resolve to crush the threat

5:45this terrorist regime poses to the American people, and a threat indeed it is.

5:51We have the strongest and most powerful by far military in the world, and we

5:58will easily prevail. We're already substantially ahead of our time projections, but whatever the time

6:06is, it's okay. Whatever it takes, we will always, and we have right from the

6:11beginning, we projected four to five weeks, but we have capability to go far longer

6:18than that. We'll do it.

6:19Whatever somebody said today, they said, oh, well, if the president wants to do it

6:23really quickly after that, he'll get bored.

6:25I don't get bored. There's nothing boring about this.

6:28Do you agree with that, Pete?

6:29I don't think there's anything, Mr.

6:30General, there's nothing boring about it.

6:33Somebody actually said from the media, I think he'll get bored after about a week

6:37or two. No, we don't get bored.

6:39I never get bored. If I got bored, I wouldn't be standing here right now.

6:42I guarantee you that, to go through what I had to go through.

6:46Okay, Buck, big picture takeaways.

6:48Did anything surprise you? I think the biggest question is, who's going to end up

6:52ruling Iran, right? That's the trillion -dollar question at this point.

6:56Well, the first thing is, he finally did it.

7:00Remember that scene in Jurassic Park where he sees the dinosaurs?

7:06Ian Malcolm, the character who is played by Jeff Goldblum, and he goes, he did

7:13it. The crazy son of a gun did it.

7:17That's really the feeling that so many of us who have been watching this Iran

7:21situation for decades now felt like, and in the best possible way, enough is enough.

7:28Trump knows enough about the negotiations with anyone.

7:35He knows when he is being screwed around.

7:38And he knew, fundamentally, the Iranians, the Iranian regime, I should say, and it's very

7:44important to separate these things.

7:45America has no hostility toward the Iranian people, per se.

7:48In fact, we want much better lives and freedom for all of them.

7:51We despise the malacracy, which was essentially an Islamic faction that took over this country

8:01and ruined it for 50 -some -odd years, okay?

8:04So we've had enough of that.

8:06And Trump came in and said, all the deals, the fundamental reality that the Obama

8:12administration refused to see, refused to understand, which was you can't make a deal with

8:18these people. Sure, you can negotiate with some terrorists.

8:22You can't negotiate with these terrorists.

8:24They were not going to abide by a deal.

8:28Because they knew if they got full nuclear capability, then they're North Korea.

8:34Then they get to do whatever garbage they want and make the world the worst

8:39place in whatever ways they want for the foreseeable future, for generations to come, because

8:44no one is going to take the risk of a major strike on a country

8:48with crazies running it with nukes at their disposal.

8:52This was the realization that Trump had.

8:56And he tried, and he tried, and he negotiated, and he wanted to get a

8:59deal. And this is Mr.

9:01Dealmaker on the global stage saying, guys, you've got to convince me that you're serious

9:08about this one. And what he realized was there was no deal to be had.

9:13And, you know, Clay, how many years has it taken for everyone to go through

9:16this? Oh, we've got to figure out some.

9:18They don't want to make a deal.

9:21And now they can't. So that's a good thing.

9:24Now it's all over for them.

9:26Now they are with the 72 virgins, if that's a thing, and they're somewhere else.

9:32And we have the hope of a better and more prosperous future for the Iranian

9:37people. I mean, there were fireworks here in South Beach.

9:40And, look, I get it.

9:41There's a large Jewish community where I live.

9:42I live in a mostly Jewish enclave of Miami Beach.

9:48And everybody around here was high -fiving and thinking it was things that's fantastic.

9:52And there were fireworks going off, Clay, in celebration of this strike.

9:58And I have to say, so far, look at the people that are involved.

10:02Look at the people in charge.

10:03You've got Secretary of Warhead, Seth.

10:04You've got Trump. You've got Marco Rubio, a Secretary of State.

10:08We're not doing nation building.

10:10This is just we're going to pick apart the tyranny and encourage better things to

10:17happen on the ground there.

10:18And I think that if that is the mission and they are able to pull

10:21this off, Clay, you tweeted this.

10:23And I agree with you.

10:24Trump is the most consequential president on track to be the most consequential president, certainly

10:30since, no, I said consequential, not best, FDR.

10:34And maybe going back even further, he may be the most consequential president since Lincoln.

10:39That's really what we're heading toward right now, my friends.

10:41That's the direction this is going if he pulls this all off.

10:45Look, I tweeted, and I really do think it's been under -discussed.

10:50I think the assassination attempts.

10:52that Trump survived. I think they changed him in a profound way.

10:57And I don't know what his second term would look like if those assassination attempts

11:04hadn't occurred. And I think you also have to plug in the attempts to bankrupt

11:08him, the attempts to put him in prison for the rest of his life.

11:11I think Trump is operating in a fearless manner.

11:15And he is deciding to do things that aren't designed to be good for the

11:21next six months. They're designed to be good for the next 60 years.

11:25And I mean, I think you can look across everything he's doing, whether it's the

11:30ballroom that he is building at the White House, whether it is the ceremonial arch

11:35that he is putting in at the White House, heck, the redone Kennedy Center that

11:40they are rehabbing right now.

11:42Those are physical manifestations in a small way of the larger global perspective that he's

11:49embarked upon. I mean, getting rid of Maduro, getting rid of the Ayatollah, basically ending

11:56communism in Cuba in many ways, which is not being talked about very much yet.

12:01But that entire communist regime in Cuba, we are right now living through a modern

12:08Berlin Wall coming down moment.

12:11Now, here are the challenges.

12:13As there are great attempts at excellence, the reach can sometimes be unreachable.

12:21And that is the danger, I think, that is incumbent right now is he's trying

12:27to do great things. And for anyone who tries to do great things, sometimes when

12:32you stretch for greatness, there are flaws that emerge in that process.

12:37And so I think it's fair to say it's too early.

12:42But Buck, if you look at the June attack in Iran, the takeout of Maduro

12:47in Venezuela and the early first couple of days opening moves that have gone on

12:53in Iran, they have been basically flawlessly executed.

12:57Four lost lives. I wish there were none.

13:00But if you had told people that all those things were going to be happening

13:04and the cost to American life would be for service members, I think everyone would

13:09have said that's impossible. Now, I think, unfortunately, the toll is going to grow.

13:13I think for everybody out there, you need to be watching around you.

13:18We just saw the shooting that happened in Austin, Texas.

13:21Innocent people lost their lives.

13:24Crazy people are emboldened by the terror attack.

13:27Your president has taken a terrorist.

13:29It appears it was quite clearly a terror attack.

13:31I don't think they've officially said it, but the guy that I'm saying it, I

13:34know more about this than the Austin cops looking at it.

13:36It's a terrorist attack. It feels like very clearly a terrorist attack to me.

13:41And so, again, we'll open up phone lines.

13:43We'll react to you guys.

13:44By the way, it's also the eve of the primary in Texas, in addition to

13:48that attack that took place in Austin.

13:51So there are lots of news stories out there.

13:53But Iran is by far the biggest story.

13:56I'm I was gleeful. I'm not going to lie that we took this step because

14:02we've seen so many half steps.

14:04We saw Obama give the Iranians billions of dollars.

14:07To your point, Buck, we knew they weren't actually going to be honest brokers.

14:12And so you're just kicking the can down the down the road if you continue

14:16to allow this group to be in charge.

14:19All that you had to know about this is the people in charge thought all

14:25we have to do is get to the point of double crossing whoever makes a

14:29deal with us, double crossing the international community, get the full nuclear package going that

14:35we that we want. And then what are they going to do about it?

14:39That's the you know, they only had to screw us over once.

14:42And then we have to deal with this for forever, basically wait for some internal

14:46collapse of a regime that now has nukes.

14:49Look at how that's going to North Korea.

14:51You see a lot of North Korean opposition these days.

14:53Yeah, it was Trump has has likely saved us from decades more of if they're

15:02saying these are really bad people.

15:04These are really bad people in Iran that he killed that I know that sounds

15:10very simplistic to people think they know a lot about geopolitics.

15:13I can speak the geopolitics think tank language and lingo with the best of them.

15:18Fundamentally, these are evildoers who had nothing but bad intentions toward their own people or

15:25the rest of the world.

15:27And they've been doing it.

15:28We let them get away with nonsense for decades.

15:30They have the blood of Americans on their hands in a whole bunch of different

15:33ways. And it's a tin pot crappy country right now.

15:37I mean, the regime is it's actually a beautiful country.

15:39And, you know, Iran in 20 years could be amazing the same way that Cuba

15:44in like five years, if they got rid of the people in charge, could be

15:46amazing. We don't have to live this way.

15:50It's a little bit like the crime thing.

15:52Clay, the big revelation is it actually doesn't have to be like this.

15:56And the big revelation from Trump is you can just do stuff.

16:00You don't have to let the bad guys just keep getting away with it.

16:03You can actually do stuff when you're America.

16:06So we'll see. Is there a risk?

19:10Down into Texas with our man, the czar of talk, Michael Berry.

19:16The czar of talk joins us now.

19:18Now, Mr. Berry, fantastic to have you as always.

19:23First, actually, before we get into the primary, something works.

19:27Can I just say that's a very aggressive opening.

19:31It's a very aggressive music you've chosen.

19:33Oh, the opening music. We like high energy.

19:38But it's very aggressive. Well, Litz, the band here.

19:42I might see them tonight, actually.

19:43Interesting that you bring it up because I'm doing a big charity songwriting event tonight.

19:49Not me, but I'm going.

19:51And they typically come out and perform.

19:54And they are huge fans of Rush.

19:56And you probably are not going to be surprised, Michael.

19:59And they're fans of this show, too, because they have great taste in radio.

20:02But a lot of musicians, when you ask to use their music, and then they

20:07find out what your politics are, they either try to refuse to allow you to

20:12use the music, or, as we have seen happen, they start to extort you in

20:17how much you're going to have to pay in order to lose their music.

20:21So they're fine with the politics, but you're going to have to pay a lot

20:26more. And so we wanted to find a band and a song, My Own Worst

20:30Enemy, that was a little bit youthful in the 90s.

20:33That is a popular song now for a lot of kids coming up now.

20:36It's cycled back as well.

20:38But also from people that we knew would never say, hey, we're going to extort

20:43you because we hate your politics.

20:45We wanted guys that were behind us squarely.

20:47And the band lit is.

20:49I remember when you all started with them and you kind of explained the choice.

20:53I thought it was an inspired choice because it wasn't so obvious.

20:57And it's good pacing for the show.

20:59It's high energy. You know, you guys are young and aggressive, and it says everything

21:04you want to say. So anyway, sorry to interrupt you, Bob.

21:06It's okay, Mr. Czar. No, I mean, do you want to also help us figure

21:09out how to solve Mideast peace and maybe get some good Republicans out of this

21:13primary in your state? You know, I don't want to detract from our music discussion.

21:19Sorry we're talking college football and music, things that you weren't.

21:21We could talk about the CIA if that will make you happy, but that's later

21:24this week. Well, that's pretty much what everyone's talking about right now, Michael.

21:28But let's take you into Texas and tell us about this primary, which is going

21:32to be unfortunately a little overshadowed by a lot of bombs dropping overseas.

21:37Okay. But big primary in Texas.

21:40What are the main races?

21:41What are you watching? What are you seeing so far?

21:43Well, interestingly, you know, what happened in Iran has – is sucking up all the

21:49energy in the room, this show, Fox, and everywhere else, right?

21:53Because this is what people want to talk about.

21:54This is a big deal.

21:55But then we had kind of an aftermath shooting in Austin.

21:59My son's at UT, as you know.

22:00And so every parent of a UT kid and everybody that lives in the Austin

22:04area is concerned about this, and the guy's wearing a property of Allah sweatshirt.

22:08So we expect to see these terror cell killings and these sort of reaction killings.

22:12So those two things are going to affect a turnout that was expected to be

22:16about 40 % of our total turnout.

22:18So we're watching that very closely because that could mean that the turnout is lower

22:22and the late impact is reduced.

22:25But the biggest race is the U .S.

22:26Senate race where four -term Senator John Cornyn, who Trump doesn't care for, did not

22:32endorse, called on Trump not to run.

22:35He's part of the kind of John Thune, Mitch McConnell, and really even Susan Collins

22:39and Lisa Murkowski cabal. And the Texas base has had enough of him.

22:44He has not one but two strong challengers, Wesley Hunt, a congressman, and Ken Paxton,

22:49who's leading the race, who's a Trump -beloved attorney general.

22:52So we're hoping to bounce John Cornyn and send the swamp a message.

22:56We've got another congressman, Dan Crenshaw, who I worked my tail off to get elected

23:01in 2018, and he's turned on everybody from Trump to his district, and we're hoping

23:07to bounce him as well.

23:08And it's the only Republican incumbent congressman that Trump didn't endorse in that race, too.

23:14So a couple of big themes going on there with the base saying, and much

23:18to my delight, that we've had it with the insiders who go to D .C.

23:22and promise one thing but vote the other way.

23:25Michael, a big discussion that we've been having on the program is last week we

23:30had a ton of people calling in saying that they were voting in the Democrat

23:34primary because they wanted Jasmine Crockett to be the nominee.

23:38It seems to me likely, you tell me if I'm wrong, that the Republican nominee

23:44is not going to be selected in the Senate because I think it requires over

23:4850 percent. And as you just said, there are three candidates that are running, so

23:52there probably is going to be a runoff in late May.

23:54Let me know if I get any of this wrong.

23:56Whereas it's likely that the Democrats are going to be picking their Senate nominee tomorrow.

24:03So would you advise or tell people not to do it, that they should vote

24:09in the Senate on the Democrat side?

24:12I know there's a lot of other races, but what have you been telling your

24:15audience? How would you analyze that?

24:17You know, look, from when Rush did Operation Chaos in 2008, especially in Pennsylvania, it

24:22was a blast because we were saying to support Hillary over Barack, which was kind

24:27of ironic and it was a lot of fun.

24:28But we already had our Republican nominee.

24:30In this case, we don't.

24:32And we have a chance to bounce a swamp creature who's a really bad guy.

24:37So I tell people, vote in our primary.

24:40We're not seeing that number.

24:41Republican primary voting is up 25 percent this time.

24:44It's up 250 percent or a time and a half over what it was, the

24:51Democrats, from 2022. So Democrats are very energized, which is quite odd here.

24:56I would like to see Jasmine Crockett win because I think she's a terrible general

25:00election candidate. But we have this whole theme, Clay, going on.

25:04They call it black girl magic, where you've got these black women who are kind

25:09of this type of character who are now running with a huge base of support.

25:14But the question is, can they win a general election race?

25:17No, they're going to scare the hell out of Texans who are going to say,

25:21oh, my goodness, we cannot have Jasmine Crockett as the Senate candidate.

25:24But I think Tallarico is beatable as well.

25:26I want people to vote to beat Cornyn.

25:29That's my hope. And there are a lot of other races that are really important.

25:32We've got some some bellwether cases of the base, the Tea Party, the MAGA, the

25:37America First versus swamp candidates in the State House, Senate and U .S.

25:42Congress. What did Cornyn do?

25:44We're talking to Michael Barry, czar of talk.

25:46You all know him from, well, all of his fantastic hours on radio.

25:51What did Cornyn do? Or just give us some sense.

25:54When you talk about the swamp creatures, right, Cornyn?

25:56And you also put Dan Crenshaw on there because, Dan, I got to say, I

26:00don't know Dan Crenshaw. I have no I've never met him.

26:02I don't think I've ever interviewed him.

26:03Maybe once. But I don't I don't remember ever interviewing him.

26:06No personal beef with him at all for a wounded Navy SEAL that to be

26:11a Republican member of Congress from Texas and have so many people in the base.

26:17So really angry at him.

26:20There's got to be something going on.

26:22And I can't speak to what it is.

26:23I really don't know. All I know is that whenever I see Crenshaw's name pop

26:27up among people who are all in on on MAGA, I hear a lot of

26:32criticism, a lot of he we can't trust him.

26:34What happened there? What tell me about Crenshaw and Cornyn?

26:36Because you're saying it's important to get better candidates.

26:38I busted my butt to get Dan Crenshaw elected, and I regretted it from three

26:43months after that fact. He's turned every Navy SEAL that's public out there from Sean

26:49Ryan to David Goggins to Eddie Gallagher.

26:51He's turned on them. He's he's he's arrogant.

26:54His stock trading history is highly questionable.

26:57When you bring it up, he threatens to sue you.

27:00You get a cease and desist.

27:01I've gotten them as well.

27:03He's he was for red flag laws, which shocked people.

27:06He's had these moments. He screamed at a little girl at a town hall meeting,

27:1010 years old in his district when she asked him about a quote he gave

27:14about Jesus. being an archetype like Superman.

27:18And just time after time, I think he's got anger management issues.

27:21I think he's got some personal demons, to be honest.

27:23And I think he got there and he bought the hype after the SNL moment

27:27with Pete Davidson when it went to his head.

27:30And the base doesn't like him.

27:33As regards Cornyn, he's been there for 24 years.

27:36He's been in public life for 41 years.

27:38He's out of touch terribly.

27:39In 2024, great example, he called on Trump to drop out of the race and

27:44not run. And he said it was time for America to move past Donald Trump.

27:48His moment had passed. He's got a real high rating for voting with the Democrats

27:52and for Texas Republicans. That's not a good thing.

27:56He seems to support Ukraine more than he does Texas.

28:01He was against the border wall and openly against the border wall, much like John

28:05McCain. Think of John McCain amongst the base and you've got that.

28:09He's incredibly out of touch with the base on a number of issues.

28:13The anti -Trump stuff was bad.

28:15He's a red flag guy.

28:16He's very, very soft on amnesty.

28:19And he was against the border wall.

28:22I think those things are sort of typical of a guy that's been up there

28:25a long time and forgot where he came from.

28:28We have, we should mention.

28:30Let me give you one other example.

28:31He came out and said that he was worried that he, that if he didn't

28:35win, it was because too many radicals voted in the Republican primary.

28:39If you are Tea Party, if you are MAGA, if you are American first, he

28:43considers you a radical. That tells you he's a swamp creature.

28:46Sorry. Uh, we're talking to Michael Berry right now.

28:48We should mention we have Ken Paxton at two 30 Eastern.

28:52That is next hour today.

28:53We have John Cornyn. We've also reached out to Wesley Hunt, have not heard back

28:58from him. Those are the three primary Republican, uh, challengers.

29:02We also Michael Berry have reached out to Jasmine Crockett and to James Tallarico to

29:08invite all five Senate candidates on because we are fair and balanced, uh, unlike many

29:15late night television show hosts.

29:16So just FYI, we have invited everyone on to make their case.

29:21Um, so what do you expect is my analysis, uh, of this likely to be,

29:26let me tell you what I think the data is lining up to, uh, to

29:30show you tell me if I'm wrong.

29:32Um, unless Jasmine Crockett gets a huge turnout tomorrow, I think James Tallarico is going

29:38to be the Democrat nominee.

29:40Uh, it appears to me that we are going to have a runoff most likely

29:44between Ken Paxton, uh, and John Cornyn, which will take place in May.

29:50Would you sign on to both of those things as the most likely outcome?

29:54And again, we encourage all of you that have not voted in Texas to get

29:58out and vote tomorrow. I think, uh, I think Paxton leads going into a runoff,

30:04which is 10 weeks away.

30:05Hard to believe with Cornyn.

30:07I think that's the most likely thing to happen.

30:10Um, Cornyn and the DC swamp did a number on Wesley Hunt and it's been

30:13hard for him to keep up.

30:14So I think you've got, you've got Paxton leading Cornyn going into a runoff.

30:18I don't know that the Tallarico win is as certain as the Tallarico people tell

30:22you what it is. Every poll consistently had her winning by, had her leading by

30:27five to 12 percentage points.

30:29Those numbers are coming out of Tallarico's community.

30:32And that came after Stephen Colbert jumped in to kind of rescue him and that

30:36whole little hoax that they put together there.

30:38I think it's still very possible that, that, uh, Jasmine Crockett wins.

30:43In fact, I predict she wins because the turnout level amongst the base, especially amongst

30:47the black base, it's going to be heavier than expected.

30:51And I predict she wins.

30:53Well, if the czar sayeth it's such, the czar make it room for white liberals

30:58in the Democrat party in Texas any longer.

31:01And Jasmine Crockett, is it fair to say, I said, if she's the nominee, that

31:05there is a 0 % chance she could win in Texas.

31:09Would you go, you know, the state of Texas.

31:11Well, is, is 0 % the right number of Jasmine Crockett is the nominee?

31:15Texas is the prize for Democrats and Beto O 'Rourke was the best candidate they

31:19had, kind of a Gavin Newsom kind of guy that, you know, can get the

31:23young vote and he's cool and he's hip and hopefully you can mobilize blacks.

31:28Blacks don't vote for a guy like that.

31:30And there aren't enough white liberals and moderates left.

31:33So Tallarico is still from that mold.

31:36He can quote the Bible as to why abortion is good and that thrills them,

31:39but I don't think you win come November.

31:41And, and I think that it's still kind of a very polarized and, and there

31:45is just no room left for a white liberal in the Democrat party.

31:48Those folks have had to gravitate white labor, white farmer.

31:51They've all moved over to the Republican party.

31:54They've had to, the party changed too much.

31:57Well, I'm happy to hear that Fortress Texas is holding strong for freedom in America.

32:02Although sounds like you're not going to be moving to Florida anytime soon, czar.

32:06That's, that's the only doubt.

32:07I'm glad to come visit you on your birthday.

34:10Big primary in Texas tomorrow.

34:12Ken Paxton will join us at the bottom of the hour.

34:15Other contenders between now and then as well.

34:19We have put out invites to everyone.

34:21But the biggest story going on certainly right now and maybe for the next several

34:27weeks is the war in Iran.

34:31We played earlier for you the latest updates from President Trump.

34:36A couple of details off the top.

34:38Stock market not moving. Basically flat.

34:41Oil prices up 5%. That is not a very substantial rise there.

34:46So the economic reaction to the war so far has not been incredibly significant.

34:53Right now, as we are talking to all of you, something unfortunately that may be

34:58very important for many of you out there is to remain aware and vigilant as

35:04there is an update right now in Austin, Texas having to do with what seems

35:10like a terror -inspired attack on innocent people out on the night in the bar

35:17community when someone who was wearing a pro -Allah and pro -Iran shirt decided that

35:27they were going to kill innocent people.

35:29We'll let you know what the Austin police say about that.

35:31I think he also had photos like posters of Iranian leaders in his home.

35:37So he's leaving a bit of a clue as to the motivation, I think.

35:42I think we know what's going on.

35:44One might see. Yes. Positive.

35:46Los Angeles, Washington, D .C., New York City.

35:49The response from people of Iranian descent, immigrants, and their first and second generation offspring

35:57here has been incredible. President Trump being praised significantly.

36:00We haven't talked about the political ramifications of this thus far, Buck, because obviously we're

36:07in the midst of a war, but it didn't stop Democrats from immediately lining up

36:12with the exception of John Fetterman.

36:17And here is something John Fetterman posted a few hours ago that I think gets

36:21at the crux of this issue, Buck.

36:24Every member in the U .S.

36:25Senate agrees we can't allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.

36:30I'm baffled why so many are unwilling to support the only action to achieve that.

36:37Empty sloganeering versus commitment to global security.

36:42Which is it? I thought that was well said by Senator Fetterman, who has become

36:47the sanest of all Democrats.

36:48We certainly wouldn't have anticipated this when his election was going on, the race was

36:54going on. But, Buck, that kind of gets to it.

36:57And what I would say in general is a reflective anti -Trump policy is, we

37:03all know, moronic. Right? You can't be 100 % opposed to basically everything that anyone

37:09does. But this is a modern day Berlin Wall moment.

37:15And I was a kid.

37:17You may not have even been born.

37:19Back in 1989, when the Berlin Wall came down, I don't remember at the time

37:25Democrats running around saying, oh, we're opposed to everything that's going on with President George

37:32Bush Sr., the older Bush, when he was in office then.

37:35I remember sort of a universal celebration of the fact that freedom was coming to

37:41many countries in Eastern Europe.

37:43And the wall between East and West Berlin was coming down, was seen as the

37:48ultimate triumph in our battle against Russia in the Cold War.

37:52Here, and again, I understand that a lot of people are not connecting all these

37:57things. I think they should be.

37:59Venezuela has more freedom than it has had in decades.

38:02Cuba is closer to freedom than it has been in decades.

38:05And Iran right now is freer probably than it has been in...

38:10decades already, with a hoped -for continued movement towards more freedom, President Trump is taking

38:18the most aggressive policies in favor of basic human rights that we have seen in

38:23generations in this country. And meanwhile, Democrats are lining up and saying, I do think

38:31it's worth mentioning that just a couple of years ago, they were all over campuses

38:35demanding freedom for people in the Middle East, even though it was freedom in Gaza,

38:41which is one of the most restrictive areas on the planet, and Hamas is a

38:44terror organization that runs Gaza.

38:47Now we have President Trump potentially liberating 90 million people, giving more basic human rights

38:53to women around the world, the goal here is, than has been done by any

38:57president in generations. And Democrats' perspective is, we can't be in favor of this?

39:03They're in an intractable position, it seems to me, when it comes to trying to

39:07justify their attacks on Trump in this manner.

39:11Well, keep in mind, it not only would be a huge win for Trump, it

39:15would be a repudiation of the single achievement, if you can call it that, of

39:21eight years of Obama foreign policy.

39:24And Obama is certainly the most remarkable Democrat politician of the 21st century, the most

39:31lasting legacy transformed the country, obviously I think made it much worse in a lot

39:38of ways, but he did matter, he certainly had an impact.

39:43His whole Mideast policy was built around getting some deal with Iran, and if Trump

39:49can take this in the direction of the mullahs are gone, there's no nuke threat

39:53anymore, and Iran is going to be a normal country, you know, why can't Iran

39:58be a normal country? Think of how many other countries there are around the world.

40:01And this is the truth about America, for all these people that want to talk

40:03about imperialism, and look what we're doing, and I know there's a lot of stuff

40:07out there right now, from the, well, sometimes, there are principled non -interventionists, and then

40:13there are, I hate America, so whenever America does something, I just oppose it, people,

40:17too. They're not the same thing.

40:19There are people that just don't want us getting involved, they never want, Republican, Democrat,

40:23they don't want us getting involved in other people's stuff.

40:25Fine, valid, I understand that.

40:26There are other people, they congregate on the left, who just hate America, and this

40:31gives them an opportunity to say that everything that goes wrong in the world is

40:33America's fault. But, Clay, the truth is, you know, the people of Paraguay aren't up

40:38late at night wondering if, like, America's going to invade or bomb them, because they're

40:43a normal country that minds their own business for the most part, and is reasonable

40:47with their neighbors, and self -governing, and that's great, and that's fine.

40:50Same thing with Thailand, you know?

40:52Same thing with, go down the list, so many countries, and obviously, I mean, we

40:56talk about all these countries in Europe, we don't have to accept that Iran just

40:59gets to be this hellhole of terror and terror sponsoring and all this other stuff

41:04for all perpetuity, because we actually don't have to accept that, and Trump certainly doesn't.

41:10So, I think that we are certainly living in remarkable times.

41:15It's an exciting period of change.

41:17It's also one of caution.

41:18As we noted, there have been strikes against U .S.

41:21bases. We have lost brave service members.

41:23There are going to be lives on our side lost in this process.

41:27The question is, how many?

41:29So, that's something else that we have to keep in mind, too.

41:33So, Clay, I think time will tell whether or not this is the most brilliant

41:39stroke of military -slash -diplomacy of the Trump administration, or if we are getting ahead

41:46of our skis on this one, but I'm feeling pretty good about it.

41:50The Democrats' criticism of it, to your point, is not really much more than, Trump

41:57is doing it, so it has to be bad.

41:58And I really mean that.

41:59That's it. It doesn't go beyond that.

42:02There's not some grappling with the intellectual realities of what Trump has done.

42:06And notice that Democrats are perfectly happy to have 90 million Iranians consigned to perpetual

42:13fear, tyranny, and servitude to a theocracy, as long as it means that Donald Trump

42:21doesn't get to get a win.

42:23Trump derangement syndrome is real.

42:25I think this is important, too, and we haven't really talked about it very much.

42:30For people out there who are saying there's no real plan in place, again, we

42:34don't know who's going to rule.

42:35I am confident that Marco Rubio and Pete Hegg -Seth and J .D.

42:40Vance and President Trump have an idea on that.

42:43Also, pay attention to the fact that Iran is just haphazardly sending missiles all over

42:50the Middle East and striking all these different Middle Eastern countries.

42:55And those Middle Eastern countries, by and large, are now allied with the United States.

43:01And I think this is so supremely important, Saudi Arabia in particular.

43:05If you go back and you say, why did October 7, 2023 happen?

43:10Why did 1 ,200 innocent Israelis get murdered?

43:13Why were over 200 kidnapped by Hamas?

43:16What was the intent there?

43:18They were terrified that the Abraham Accords, which is a peace agreement, a normalizing of

43:23relations, was going to expand and include Saudi Arabia.

43:28Saudi Arabia and Israel were basically going to say, hey, we're in favor of commerce.

43:32We're not going to allow religious difference to divide us forever.

43:36We want to see peace in the Middle East.

43:38And Iran, which was funding Hamas, which was funding Hezbollah, which was funding all of

43:45these different terror groups around the world that were striking in Israel, but also everywhere

43:51else, they said we can't allow this to happen.

43:54And that was one of the reasons, primary reason, I believe, why Hamas attacked when

43:58they did. Now what are you seeing?

44:00All these different Middle Eastern countries are allowing the United States and Israel to use

44:06their airspace to be able to rain down holy hell on Iran.

44:10And there are reports out there that, and that's what we always said, pay attention

44:14not to what people say, but that what they do, that both Saudi Arabia and

44:20Israel were encouraging President Trump to take out this Islamic leadership in Iran.

44:28Saudi Arabia couldn't say it publicly.

44:30Now that Iran has attacked them, a lot of these other countries have now come

44:35forward and condemned Iranian action.

44:37And let me read you one comment.

44:39We've got a bunch of callers and everything else.

44:42But, Buck, I've got a friend, Jamie Chadwell, is the head coach of Liberty Football.

44:48His wife is Iranian, and she just posted something that I thought was really good.

44:52He tagged me in it on social media.

44:56He said, people have been inquiring about our feelings about what's going on in Iran.

45:03Here's what she said. Honestly, I don't have enough words to describe what it means

45:08to us, as well as millions of Persians who sacrificed everything to flee the harshness

45:14of the regime. My parents were crying tears of joy on Saturday.

45:19Persians all over the world are breathing a sigh of relief for the first time

45:24in 47 years. It's not tears of joy over a war.

45:28These are tears of hope and a future for the nation and the people of

45:32Iran. It's about having solace.

45:34It's declaring justice for the thousands upon thousands of innocent people the Islamic regime has

45:40imprisoned, falsely accused and killed.

45:42It's for the parents who had to search through hundreds of body bags laying in

45:47a yard just to find their deceased child brutally murdered for only wanting to voice

45:52their opinion, to dance in the streets, to not have to cover their hair, for

45:56the child who wanted a future for freedom.

45:59Please don't ever take your freedoms here in the U .S.

46:01for granted. I never understood how people here could despise the U .S.

46:06so much, how they could burn the flag, how they could protest against the United

46:10States, everything that has been given to them, I guess because they never had to

46:14live a life that took all those freedoms away, signed a hopeful and grateful Persian

46:21American. I thought that was well said because I think that is the immense outpouring

46:27of joy that you are seeing.

46:29And it goes to I don't see how you can make this political, but when

46:32I watched in Georgetown, all of these Iranian people, when I watched outside of the

46:37White House, the pure joy of their celebration, when I watched it in L .A.

46:42They shut down Wilshire Boulevard, for those of you who know L .A., filled with

46:46a huge, joyful Iranian march in favor of freedom that they want to see in

46:52their country. When I saw in New York City, the people who have dealt with

46:56actual oppression, the people who have dealt with the taking away of their basic human

47:01rights, the people who have struggled for 50 years living under this harsh oppression, oppressive

47:05regime, they understand what has been done here and they view President Trump as a

47:13heroic force for good in the Middle East.

47:16And I think that is something that it's going to be very hard if we

47:19can manage to change the trajectory of this country in the direction of basic human

47:24rights and freedom. It's a transformative move that will echo throughout the Middle East for

47:30generations to come. So are there challenges?

47:33Yes. But I do think that statement really got to the heart of what we're

47:38seeing from so many Persians around the world.

47:41And think about this, too, Clay.

47:43What was the alternative? Yeah.

47:45The alternative is to keep this dance of bad faith negotiations from the Iranian mullah

47:52side going until they get a nuke or until we get tired of it and

47:56decide to do what we did.

47:58And it's not like things were fine and quiet over there.

48:01They have been causing problems all over the region.

48:05That's what they do. They believe in this.

48:09You know, it's the Islamic revolution that they think they are the custodians of.

48:14They're not it's a revolutionary government, the same way that the Bolsheviks and the Soviet

48:18Union thought of themselves as revolutionaries with global ambitions.

48:22I might add they were colonialist in their mindset.

48:25Actually, they wanted to expand their authority and their power in the region.

48:30They were not looking to mind their own business and they wanted to wipe Israel

48:35off the map. And that was a stated goal of the regime.

48:39If the stated goal of your country is to destroy another country, maybe you don't

48:44get to be in charge of a country.

48:47And there's a great line for Pete Hegseth where he said they chanted death to

48:53America and death to Israel and Israel and the United States instead brought death to

48:59the Ayatollah. That is my line was good, but that line's cold.

49:03That line's a good line.

49:04It's a good line. Secretary of War getting cold.

52:08is election day primary voting taking place in texas arkansas and north carolina ken paxton

52:15joins us now i know you've been running all over the state uh what is

52:20your message here closing moments uh as many people will be going to the polls

52:25tomorrow i know a lot of people have already early voted why should they vote

52:29for you tomorrow uh attorney general paxton it's simply this get it i get i

52:35get results versus john cornyn's last 40 years in office and i've asked in every

52:39meeting since april the 8th i've asked every single person whether it's one person or

52:43three thousand can you name one single good accomplishment of john cornyn at 40 plus

52:49years in office and no one's ever given me an answer and i i respond

52:53to say take any two week period of my office uh my time at office

52:57as attorney general other than christmas and thanksgiving and i guarantee you pick any two

53:01weeks i've done more in two weeks than he's done in 40 plus years if

53:04we want somebody to go up there and fight for us and get stuff something

53:07done for the state of texas i'm the guy mr attorney general what's top of

53:12the agenda you're telling us that you can get things done that's great what are

53:16the kind of things that as a senator representing the wonderful state of texas where

53:21we have so many listeners and we're very grateful for all of them what are

53:24the things that you would want to seek uh to to add to your roster

53:28of accomplishments in office as a senator this time around yeah so i i think

53:33president trump hit it over hit it over the fence he hit the most important

53:37issue which he asked congress to pass immediately which was the voter integrity where we

53:42we protect our elections from mail -in ballots we have photo id and we make

53:48sure that people are citizens if we can't fundamentally do that then we are at

53:53risk of losing everything else because there are many many states who are not using

53:57photo id who are having massive mail -in ballots we cannot track and we don't

54:02have secure elections and without that nothing else matters beyond that i mean since john

54:07corner's been there let's see the time of george washington the time of john corner

54:106 .2 trillion in debt now we're 38 trillion since john's been there the federal

54:16budget is out of control we've got to figure that out i'm very interested in

54:20what's going on with china uh i think they are number one threat obviously we've

54:23got a ram uh right now interested in judicial appointments because i have to deal

54:29with them every day ted cruz has done a great job helping the president to

54:33make good picks. On the other hand, John Cornish picks have not been so great.

54:37So those are just a few of the issues that I care about.

54:40There's certainly more than that.

54:42We're talking to Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas.

54:44He's running tomorrow in the primary.

54:48Let me give you a couple of arguments to respond to that we've had on

54:51the show so far. One is Ken Paxton can't win in the general.

54:56The other is people should go vote for Jasmine Crockett instead of worrying about the

55:03Republican Senate race that's going on.

55:06Your response to those two, which are two different arguments we've had made today on

55:10the show. Well, first of all, I think it's interesting that this is a John

55:14Cornish argument because you can't win the primary.

55:16I've won three statewide races over a period of 12 years.

55:20So the naysayers, I'm 3 -0.

55:23I haven't lost a single race.

55:25As a matter of fact, I've won 18 races overall.

55:27So it's great to decide now that I can't win a statewide race when I've

55:31won three in a row.

55:33There's no evidence for this.

55:34John Cornish makes this story up just like he's made up his whole record over

55:37the last year. And the reality is, if you actually do the polling, which I've

55:42seen, I do as well or better than him.

55:44Not significantly, but it's not like I do worse.

55:48Every poll I've seen, I've done as well or better than him.

55:51And this idea that Republicans should go vote for Jasmine Crockett, I mean, I wouldn't

55:56do it because I want to make sure that we have the right person running

55:59in the Republican primary to take on the Jasmine Crockett.

56:02Let the Democrats sort that out.

56:04We're going to beat either one of them because we're still a Republican state.

56:08We haven't lost a statewide election since 1994.

56:11And just to be clear, we had invited on Cornyn, everyone, for tomorrow.

56:15And we'll see if he chooses to come on at some point here in the

56:18near future. But Attorney General Paxton, what's the, on policy, you know, I don't know

56:25if you guys know each other, you and Cornyn are not personally.

56:28Well, it's not about that.

56:29On policy, on decision making, when it comes to wielding the power entrusted to you

56:35as a senator by the people of Texas, where are you guys different?

56:39Where do you differ ideologically or where do you differ when it comes to how

56:43you would actually vote? I think on many things.

56:47I give you example, judges, budget, but just things like Second Amendment issues, where he

56:52helped Joe Biden pass one of the most restrictive Second Amendment bills in my lifetime.

56:58There's no way that Joe Biden is going to be congratulating me like he did

57:01John Cornyn. I would not be out there pushing amnesty like he's been pushing over

57:05the last four decades. I would have been for the border wall.

57:09Now he suddenly is, but he wasn't for a decade.

57:12I've got 15 to 20 clips of him saying we shouldn't do a border wall.

57:16On the other hand, he also claims to be a big Trump man.

57:19And yet in 2016, he said Trump was an albatross around our neck.

57:23And then in the most recent election, he said that Trump's day had passed and

57:27that we should elect somebody else.

57:29I was on the Trump bandwagon because I thought he would be the best choice.

57:33This guy now suddenly is, but for his entire career, he's been in opposition to

57:38Donald Trump. We're talking to Ken Paxson, AG.

57:42I know you're running for the Senate right now, but there was the attack that

57:45happened in Austin over the weekend.

57:48I know there's been a couple of press conferences about that.

57:51What can you tell us about that shooting?

57:54What do we need to know?

57:55What should we know from a Texan perspective on that investigation?

58:00I think the most important thing to me is just what the investigation turns up

58:04about connections and whether this guy was operating alone or whether he was part of

58:09a bigger plan to do damage in this country.

58:12I've been concerned. Of course, I sued Joe Biden 20 times just over immigration.

58:18And my biggest concern was this type of thing happening.

58:21We opened up our border.

58:22We would not be able to vet people.

58:24We'd not be able to control.

58:26And obviously, this guy got his citizenship legally, but it's now a bigger problem than

58:31ever because we have so many unvetted people.

58:33We don't know where they are.

58:35And if I'm an American enemy, for sure, I've planted sleeper cells in the country.

58:42It's certainly very concerning, given what we just saw in Austin, that there are likely

58:49more radicals who will be activated from within our midst.

58:54It seems like the Democrats are just never going to learn the lesson on this.

58:59They're never going to understand what that threat actually is in this country.

59:03Is there anything that you think needs to be done legislatively differently to address this?

59:09Is there anything that you would say, hey, guys, something that would make us safer

59:13here at home that we could enact starting in 2027 when I'm in the United

59:17States Senate is anything come to mind?

59:19Or is it just enforce the laws we've already got?

59:22Well, enforce the laws we already have, but also more resources to start vetting some

59:27of these people that came into our country that we haven't tracked down yet, that

59:31we need to track down for sure.

59:33People like this who could do damage to our country.

59:36So I would say more resources to the people that are dealing with the DHS,

59:41the Border Patrol, the people that the Democrats don't want to fund are the very

59:45people right now that we need not just less funding, we need more funding.

59:50It seems clear that you're going to be at least one of the two that

59:54advances to the runoff, and we're talking to Ken Paxton.

59:57I know that early voting has been substantial and a lot of People still have

1:00:02to vote tomorrow. What is your anticipation for what will take place tomorrow?

1:00:08There's three primary candidates. One of you will be eliminated.

1:00:11Do you expect that you'll be among the top two?

1:00:14I expect I'll be the number one.

1:00:16As a matter of fact, I don't know.

1:00:19It's hard to measure from early voting, but just some of our analytics.

1:00:23I mean, there is a slight possibility.

1:00:26Obviously, there's not just two other people.

1:00:28There's a total of seven others, so there's eight people.

1:00:31So I tell people it's like playing basketball, seven -on -one, trying to outscore everybody

1:00:35while they play offense and defense.

1:00:37So it's challenging to get through this without a runoff, but if anybody has a

1:00:43shot at that, it's me.

1:00:45If you are first place, runoff, I mean, it's going to cost a lot of

1:00:50money. If you win substantially, should there be just a recognition that you're going to

1:00:55be the nominee and start to focus?

1:00:57Because it does seem likely that Democrats will know their nominee come tomorrow night.

1:01:03Yes, and I say this because already Cornyn's about, what, $100 million?

1:01:07I've spent $3 million, and if I come out on top, the spending on his

1:01:11side needs to stop. It makes no sense.

1:01:14If we care about electing a Republican from Texas and Republicans in Michigan and Georgia

1:01:19and these other states, they've got to stop wasting money on a primary.

1:01:22$100 million is enough. Do not go in on another $50 million to try to

1:01:27make me unelectable, which is what Cornyn said his goal is.

1:01:29I'm going to make Ken Paxton unelectable.

1:01:31Well, that's great if we only care about electing incumbents, but I thought we were

1:01:35about electing Republicans, and the strategy of spending another $50 million on John Cornyn after

1:01:40he loses the first round makes no sense if you actually do care about electing

1:01:45Republicans. Do you think if you win this primary that President Trump had a rally

1:01:50in Corpus Christi going into the weekend, and he chose, I think he basically said,

1:01:54I'm endorsing you and Wesley Hunt and John Cornyn, and he said, you know, basically

1:01:57I'm not picking a side.

1:01:59Do you think when he sees the Texans come out and pick a side, do

1:02:03you think he'll weigh in and say, hey, we basically have our nominee now?

1:02:06What do you anticipate from the White House?

1:02:08Well, you're going to be shocked.

1:02:09I never completely anticipate what the president might do.

1:02:13I do know this. I've been a big fan of his.

1:02:15I have been a supporter of his since 2016.

1:02:18I was one of two people, Troy Nelson, I was the only two people that

1:02:21showed up, elected officials, when he announced for president.

1:02:25Because at the time, DeFantis was surging, and Trump had all these investigations and indictments,

1:02:31all this stuff. But I do know this.

1:02:33I trust him. He's made a lot of really good decisions, and I'm not going

1:02:37to pretend that I would know exactly what he's going to do because I don't.

1:02:42He is running for Senate tomorrow, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

1:02:46I presume you tell everybody, get out and vote.

1:02:49You want big numbers. Well, I'd say get out.

1:02:52I think we lost him right there on the charge for everybody.

1:02:55I'm sure he was going to say, get out and vote for Ken Paxton.

1:02:59That is Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas.

1:03:01And, again, the primary is tomorrow.

1:03:03Get out and vote if you are listening to us in Texas, as many of

1:03:07you are, all over the Lone Star State.
