2:45Today we have an incredible guest, a man that has decided to take on the

2:51system at the highest level by running for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.

2:56He's been in the house there since 2018, 19, and really is the man that's

3:02leading the charge and waking Georgians up about election fraud, Mr.

3:08Greg Dolezal. David, amazing. Yeah, welcome to the show, my friend.

3:13Yeah, thanks for coming on, man.

3:15When Tudor reached out to us and was saying you were interested in coming on

3:19and talking about this, Jordy and I were like, high five, and finally a politician

3:24that's reaching out to us who wants to get involved in this and we're pretty

3:28excited to hear your thoughts on all this.

3:31All right, you know, obviously we can jump right in.

3:34Your speech on the floor talking about Fannie Willis and how it started the day

3:40after Trump, you know, her coordination with the Biden White House and Jack Smith started

3:46the day after Trump announced he was running in 22.

3:48You know, that thing went viral all over the place and for me it was

3:52this overwhelming sense like, oh, now actual people that are in seats of power are

3:58pushing back on the reality that the elections were fraudulent.

4:01And, but before we get into that, just tell us how do you go from

4:06being tour manager, one of the biggest Christian artists to growing up on a farm,

4:12you know, being involved, you know, with your church and really just seemingly having the

4:17ideal life and supporting your, obviously your true mission which is to support Christ, you

4:24know, and then all of a sudden now it's like, oh, I think I'm going

4:27to get into Georgia politics.

4:28Like, how does that happen, man?

4:31Man, we were called to it.

4:32That's the only thing I can tell you.

4:34It was a wild journey, you know, in my 20s and in my 30s, I

4:37did. I spent a decade on the road with Chris Tomlin and it was the

4:40honor of a lifetime, man.

4:41His career started obviously very minimally just leading worship at churches.

4:48I kind of came in when he started doing his first tour and then everything

4:51exploded in an amazing way and so I had the opportunity to go around the

4:55world with Chris. Wow. And we did, you know, 10 years of touring together and

4:59I'm actually going to go help them with this Good Friday event this year in

5:03Nashville or something he's done every year for a decade now.

5:05So I'm still like the old guy who they bring in on these big events

5:08when they want to, you know, get stuff done.

5:11You're the OG, right? That's right.

5:13Man, that's so, like nobody understands the technicalities involved in being a tour manager and

5:19helping orchestrate those logistics which in my opinion, you know, logistics in the military are

5:24the essence. of how militaries function, logistics and businesses, you know, but in particular, as

5:30it comes to entertainment, there's so much that go behind being able to bring a

5:35message out in a powerful way to the masses.

5:38And man, just kudos on you for getting behind that and what you learn.

5:42But, you know, give me one story from being on the road in those 10

5:46years where you saw vividly saw the work, what he was doing in the audience

5:53or in a group of people or a particular person that you're like, oh, I

5:56know I'm supposed to be where God wants me.

5:59Man, it's so hard to pick one moment.

6:00I would say that a couple of times that we went to Australia were really

6:05just powerful moments. We had followed these guys that were kind of pioneers in the

6:10worship space over there called Hillsong and to kind of step into their stream of

6:14what they were doing and see what was happening over there was amazing.

6:18But, you know, for me going through South America, Sao Paulo was amazingly, Brazilian people,

6:24are amazing. And to see them worship was just a kind of next level.

6:28And then to go into some of the cultures where we kind of had to

6:31go in under the radar was, you know, was interesting as well, where, you know,

6:36Christianity, Christians are a minority, often persecuted people groups.

6:40And so that was, you know, that was something that was, that really crystallized for

6:44me how lucky I have it here in America and something that just growing up

6:49to me, I took for granted and didn't, you know, ever kind of stop and

6:51say, man, this is amazing.

6:52I get to go to church on Sunday and not realize even that, even that

6:56is a luxury. And so, you know, when we transitioned out, basically what happened, man,

7:01was my wife and I started having kids.

7:02We've got four kids and Chris is like, I want you to do this for

7:0510 more years. I've got 10 more years in me.

7:07Will you do it for 10 more years?

7:09And ironically, this is 10 years for him past that point.

7:12But I'm just like, this is a young man's game.

7:15I'm in my thirties and I need to go home and, you know, raise my

7:18family. And so transitioned away from that and just began to pray and think about

7:23what would be next. And I own a software development company that my partners and

7:27I started 20 years ago.

7:29And so that was kind of growing this whole time as well.

7:31So we had a lot of moving pieces in life, but I had my state

7:35senator decided to run for governor and we talked about it.

7:40We prayed about it. We got in the race and we just went out.

7:42I went out and knocked on 10 ,000 doors in my community.

7:45And that's not like pay the interns to go knock on doors.

7:48That was - No, you got to do it.

7:50You got to do it.

7:50My knuckles hitting the door.

7:52And what's crazy, David, is like to this day, eight, nine years later, people will

7:56still say, man, I remember that time you knocked on my door.

7:59And so for all of the guys looking to get a start in politics and

8:02all the ladies that think this might be for them as well, you got to

8:05put shoe leather on the ground and go work it.

8:07Well, what's the, I mean, one of the most famous stories of all of that

8:13type of thing is, you know, Jack Kennedy going to the most, you know, the

8:18prey, you know, the impoverished areas of West Virginia, you know, all these different places

8:23which were entrenched in, in conservative Republican views.

8:28Right. And he just preached his case to him like, hey, this is who I

8:32am. This is what I'm doing.

8:33And, and I think that translates, always translates into victory, right?

8:39Because when you're face to face with somebody, you know, people's BS meter can be

8:44paying pretty quick and, and, and people that are, are eking out a living every

8:49day, trying to pay their bills, trying to take care of their kids and their

8:52family. When they look you in the face, they know whether or not you're, you

8:56know, full of it or, or you're being genuine.

8:58So man, I, kudos on you for getting out there and doing that.

9:01Did that, did that reinforce the desire?

9:05Cause obviously there must, there must've been some type of trepidation about wanting to be

9:11a politician. I mean, obviously even, even in, even in localized, you know, state congressional,

9:17it's still, there's still a, a pretty significant, um, game being played right at all

9:23levels, both sides don't matter.

9:25Did that like drive you more towards it or, or what was the, what was

9:31the process that, that, um, uh, what is it?

9:34It's the, you're looking for the enlightenment, right?

9:37The, the thing that kind of like when you're, when you're, when you get born

9:40again, right? When you get saved, it's like, oh, now this is what I'm supposed

9:45to do. Did you have that each time, each door you knocked on?

9:49I will tell you that for me as an introvert, getting out every single day

9:52and going knocking on doors was, was, it was a spiritual discipline because, but for

9:57just really having to kind of both talk myself into it and pray myself through

10:01it, it was not what I was comfortable doing.

10:04But the amazing thing was I would go home almost every day and there would

10:08have been one conversation that was just like, oh, that's why I'm doing this.

10:12I remember one in particular, I walk up this driveway and there's a lady standing

10:15in her driveway. I start talking to this older lady, I look over her shoulder

10:19and she's got a veteran's license plate on her car in her garage.

10:22And I said, oh man, are you a veteran?

10:24And she said, no, my husband is, would you like to meet him?

10:26I said, yeah, sure. Well, she brings me in the house and introduces me to

10:31her disabled and blind husband.

10:34And this, the house is, is, you know, pretty disheveled.

10:37There's kind of stuff everywhere.

10:39She's doing everything she can to take care of her husband and, and, you know,

10:42take care of herself and I ended up sitting with that couple for about an

10:46hour and a half and having the most amazing conversation.

10:48And I remember I went home, I told my wife, I said, we're going to

10:50lose this election. She said, what do you mean?

10:52I mean, I. I said, the whole reason I was in this race was to

10:55have this conversation that I had today with this couple and just to be able

10:58to spend time with them because they told me nobody had been inside their house

11:02for a couple of years.

11:03They didn't have family in the area.

11:05They were just lonely. And I get emotional even thinking about it right now because

11:09it was this moment where I'm like, all right, this is why I'm doing it.

11:13And even though I went on to win, it's still why I'm doing it because

11:18those are the people that don't have the voice of the Capitol, right?

11:20So down here, man, there are lobbyists all over this place.

11:23There are special interests down here.

11:25There's back slapping politicians who kind of love the game and love the scene.

11:29And I really don't get involved in that because I just, I think about those

11:33people back home and it's like, that's my compelling why.

11:36You know, a lot of people point to their kids as their why.

11:38And there's a lot of that for me as well, certainly thinking about the next

11:41generation. But I also think about that older man, that veteran who fought and served

11:46his country. And he's handed the baton off to my generation now.

11:50And the question becomes, what are we going to do about it?

11:53A hundred percent. So I imagine when you get in, there's a pretty steep learning

11:58curve for sure the first couple of years.

12:01But for you, man, that learning curve seems like it was interstellar, right?

12:08Because you all of a sudden, immediately you're faced with the 2020 elections.

12:14I know a lot of the country, obviously as a result of J6, right?

12:20There was enough to drive that movement up into DC.

12:24Did you feel the sensation that something was off?

12:27Did you get an, you know, did you have that?

12:30Or where were you when it went down?

12:33So I was the first elected official in the state of Georgia to hold a

12:37press conference after the 2020 election.

12:39And a couple of my senator friends came with me and we were a group

12:43and leadership told us not to go.

12:45We were instructed by our president pro tem.

12:48It was a bad idea to say anything about the election.

12:50And I'm a freshman at this time.

12:52This is my very first term.

12:53And they're like, all right, don't let us all, you go speak for us.

12:57So I did. And I walked up to the microphone and called for an audit

13:00of the election, called for a number of steps that should be taken with an

13:04eye towards even the January runoff election that ultimately were the elections that installed Raphael

13:09Warnock and John Ossoff. And at that point in time, man, the fire came.

13:14Leadership was angry. The lieutenant governor at the time walked into a meeting with all

13:18of us and chastised us.

13:20A number of my friends who that were in senior positions in the state Senate

13:25were stripped of their committees, which is kind of the conduit of influence and power

13:28in any legislature. So we were, we like to joke that one of the guys,

13:33actually Burt Jones, went out to become lieutenant governor.

13:35And we joke now that when we'd walk down the hall, man, we would clear

13:39the, we'd clear the hallway because nobody wanted to be seen talking to us because

13:43they were afraid their bills were gone.

13:44Scurrying in their offices. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

13:46My bills are going to get killed if I'm seen talking to, you know, Dolezal

13:49or Beach or Jones, I'm, you know, I'm going to be, you know, I'm going

13:53to be screwed in the legislative process.

13:54And so we were, we were outcasts, but that was with the political class.

14:00But I've always kind of been an outcast with the political class.

14:03The very first GOP meeting that I went to after the 2020 election in my

14:08home county that I represent, the GOP meets in this little retail store and usually

14:12there's 50 people that show up.

14:14Yeah. They had to meet in the parking lot.

14:16And it's one of these two -story retail building kind of deals.

14:19And people had to go up to the balcony or hanging off the balcony because

14:22about 500 people showed up that day.

14:24Oh my gosh. And it was the most energized I've seen our base.

14:28People recognized that something was taken from them.

14:31Yeah. And they were angry and they were looking for fighters.

14:35And so that really galvanized the things I would go on to do, which was

14:39to be one of the first four elected officials in the state to call for

14:43a special session of the General Assembly.

14:45Because David, you've got to remember what was going on.

14:48This is COVID. And we were under an emergency order.

14:51And the emergency order, which the legislature essentially cedes all of their power to the

14:56executive branch in the case of elections is Brad Raffensperger, our Secretary of State.

15:03Well, he took that executive power and he invented election law.

15:07He put drop boxes everywhere.

15:10Drop boxes were nowhere envisioned in the statute in Georgia code.

15:15He sent 6 .3 million absentee ballot request forms to every registered voter and put

15:23a first class stamp on it.

15:25And the first class stamp is significant because if you file a national change of

15:29address form, so if you move to Louisiana and you say, all right, post office,

15:33here's my national change of address form, forward all of my first class mail to

15:37Louisiana. Well, we know that in Fulton County alone, 39 ,000 people had their mail

15:44forwarded to a different state or a different county.

15:48And Raffensperger sent all those people absentee ballot request forms and tens of thousands of

15:54them voted. And in many cases, they voted illegally.

15:57And the key for all the audience who's listening right now, you have to realize

16:01that Georgia was won by 11 ,000 votes.

16:04Like that's the kicker, right?

16:06It was the smallest margin in the country by far.

16:12I mean, it was unbelievable.

16:15So I can only imagine, you know, you're witnessing all this.

16:19When. When did it become solidified in your mind that you saw whatever conclusive evidence?

16:28I mean, I know Garland Favarito immediately started doing the research.

16:32We had him on right after the FBI raid on the where the warehouse with

16:40all the ballots were still or were seized.

16:43And we you know, his timeline is really clear.

16:47What point did you see a piece of evidence that really gave you the conviction?

16:55When I signed my own absentee ballot request form with a signature that no way,

17:01shape or form matched my actual signature.

17:04So in other words, I tested the system and I got my ballot.

17:08That's when I knew that the signature match was not happening because in my county,

17:14my county is a red county.

17:15My county runs elections well.

17:17So like if this is happening in my county, Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, you know, these

17:23other larger metro counties certainly have to be a disaster.

17:26And so then I had friends who had their kids sign their absentee ballot request

17:31form. And next thing you know, the ballot comes in.

17:33I had people botch their signatures in multiple counties, Cherokee, Gwinnett.

17:37They all tested the system.

17:38And David, in every single case, all of us got our ballots back.

17:42And that was in the runoff election.

17:44And that's when I knew that the system was broken.

17:48And that's when we we had already called for the special session by that point

17:51in time. But that's when we really doubled down on trying to get it trying

20:58kicker for a lot of people that they're going through that process now, right?

21:03Because, you know, the, I think starting with COVID, the ability to manipulate information and

21:10the flow of information was at an all -time high.

21:12We saw that with the Twitter files.

21:14We saw it. I mean, I got locked out of social media, you know, and,

21:18and I wasn't even political back then, man.

21:21I didn't, I was a motivational guy and, you know, and I got shut down

21:25because I had, you know, during the BLM riots, I'm trying to be like, everybody

21:28calm down, man. Let's just, let's see what the facts are.

21:32Then we can argue the facts.

21:33And for me, it was, you know, the 2019 FBI statistics saying that only what

21:38it was like 19 or 20 some odd unarmed black men had been shot by

21:43white police officers. Right. And, and, and I put that on Facebook and it turned.

21:48into a 5 ,000 comment argument, you know, and I'm like, what the hell's going

21:52on? And you could just see the coordination of the information and how it attacked

21:59people who brought those questions up in any case.

22:02And we saw it, I think most egregiously with the January 6th and what took

22:07place when you have, you know, grandmas who, you know, were waved into the capital

22:12and, you know, never went outside the, you know, the ropes and the rotunda and

22:17they're doing hard time and solitary confinement, you know, with the 1800 people, they rounded

22:22up. I was like, all right, that's the deal.

22:25And now they're painting us as domestic terrorists.

22:27And I was like, okay, this is bigger than anything I've ever seen.

22:31And man, I work for the CIA, so I've seen some crazy shit, right?

22:34So the reality is now, you know, so when, what, what happened next?

22:40Did you start working with any outside experts when, cause I've seen you, you know,

22:46you, you've had one bill passed and that was Senate bill 189.

22:50Maybe you could tell us the story of, of how the coordination effort to get,

22:55to start to get towards legislation.

22:57And then just let's go into some of the bills you've put forward.

23:01Cause man, these are significant and they really mimic what I think we're trying to

23:06get done at a federal level as well too, which is really cool.

23:09So maybe if you could give that narrative for us.

23:12Yeah. I mean, I can't really accurately describe or, and it's impossible for me to

23:18even overstate the amount of pressure that we were under in Georgia after the 2020

23:24election. And I had the same conversation with my constituents, basically from eight o 'clock

23:29in the morning until six o 'clock at night for days and days and days

23:33and weeks on end. And so I went back that next session with a very,

23:37very clear mandate in my mind.

23:38And that mandate was unlike any mandate I have had since I've been elected.

23:43And that was to fix the election system.

23:45And so we passed a number of omnibus bills out of the Senate.

23:49And some of them were, were more comprehensive than even what ultimately passed, which was

23:54Senate bill 202. The very first bill that we voted on, frankly, did what we

23:58should have done. And we should have had the backbone to push it all the

24:01way through to the finish line, which was to get rid of no excuse absentee

24:04voting. And because the mail -in voting and ultimately the, I should say, we voted

24:13to get rid of all of the mail -in voting and the no excuse absentee

24:17voting is a separate piece, but the mail -in voting is where the bulk of

24:20your fraud happens. It's a lot harder to commit election fraud if you have to

24:24walk into a polling place and show your ID.

24:26It's possible, but it's certainly, it limits your, your attack vectors for sure of what

24:31you can, the system can handle.

24:33So we passed that bill to the house, never got out of the house, but

24:37we ultimately passed Senate bill 202, which, which is what Joe Biden and Stacey Abrams

24:41called Jim Crow 2 .0.

24:42Yeah, I remember that, man.

24:45It was unbelievable. Meanwhile, this is the same person in terms of Stacey saying that

24:50her last election was completely fraudulent.

24:53And it's just, it's, it's mind boggling to see the narratives, right?

24:57Well, they always claim, Jasmine Crockett this week, claims in the election.

25:01Justin, Justin, I'm waiting for, uh, for, uh, uh, Dan Crenshaw to say the same

25:05thing too, you know? So anyways, go ahead.

25:08Yeah. So we, we passed a number of, of provisions.

25:11So for example, I told you that I was signing my signature to get my

25:14absentee ballot. You no longer do that in Georgia.

25:17You have to provide photo identification.

25:19So we moved the needle significantly on some, some key election security measures, but I

25:25will have a bill on the floor of the Senate tomorrow, actually to move us

25:29to a hand -marked paper ballot voting system.

25:32And this is the fourth bill of that kind that I have co -sponsored.

25:37And this is the first one that I've drafted myself.

25:40And this one that I've drafted myself along with Garland had input on this bill

25:44and a number of people that have really dug into the details of this have

25:47helped me put this together.

25:48But when I say I wrote it myself, what I mean is I'm the top,

25:51the number one sponsor, right?

25:53Yeah. And so I've got that bill out of committee.

25:55It will go to the floor of the Senate tomorrow and then hopefully get us

25:59off of the Dominion voting machines by the November election, because we actually, we passed

26:05a bill. You mentioned Senate bill 189.

26:06We passed it two years ago, which essentially says that we're no longer going to

26:11vote by QR code, right?

26:13So right now what happens for those of your listeners that are not in Georgia,

26:16we go to a touchscreen, we vote our ballot, we get a printed ballot that

26:23then gets scanned. But what gets scanned is a QR code, not the actual optical

26:29characters that are visible on the ballot, right?

26:32So if I vote for Donald Trump and it says Donald Trump at the bottom,

26:35the machine doesn't scan the bottom, it scans this QR code.

26:38That's right. Well, in 2022, CISA, which is the Cyber Intelligence Security Administration Division, which

26:45sits under the Department of Homeland Security at the federal level, they identified nine known

26:52vulnerabilities in Dominion software version 5 .5a, right?

26:57And they spell out what all nine of these vulnerabilities are, some of which will

27:02allow the flipping of votes in the QR code.

27:04That's right. Right. That now, not only is that vulnerability there, but David, think about

27:09this. Now that vulnerability is numbered on the internet for every bad actor to have

27:15access. to. That's right. And we're still using the same software version.

27:19The very first recommendation that CISA gives in that report is to contact Dominion Voting

27:25Systems about a patch or a software update.

27:27And we're running 5 .5A.

27:29They had released 5 .5C, 5 .5D, 5 .17.

27:34They're now on 5 .20.

27:37And George is using 5 .5A.

27:40And the reason why I've been told that they keep, you know, they're at this

27:46insanely so that all of the data specialists, I interviewed this guy from Colorado who

27:51was just off the chart.

27:52He was a former military analyst, you know, like in the numbers type of the

27:56guy, logistics guy. And he was saying, you know, that they're in this race to

28:02just keep updating the operating system so that the people who are monitoring, they can

28:07continue to cover their tracks, you know, as fast as they can.

28:11Like, you know, it's like one of those adaptive encryption systems that as soon as

28:16the hit hits it, it adapts and fixes that hole, right?

28:21And those are probes into the, the, the, the, the feasibility of it being hacked

28:26or uploaded or outsourced or whatever, you know, that's going on with the minimum.

28:30That's, that's incredible. What is the response?

28:32What is the, where are you getting pushback on the attacks?

28:36Not the, you know, you could call them on the voting, the electronic voting systems.

28:41I think everybody gets the ballots were a derivative of COVID, right?

28:48And so people are going to be forced to go back to the ballots.

28:51I think people are going to hold on with tooth and nail for the hand

28:54ballots till they die. That's the hill they're going to die on.

28:58But it's certainly the, the unbelievably unrestrained absentee and then the drop boxes.

29:04That's an easy one. But the, the other stuff is the election stuff.

29:07And that's the place where I see, uh, uh, politicians on both sides really kind

29:14of, you know, toe in line, because when you look at the cases brought against

29:18what, uh, Fox that they settled 740 billion, you look at Giuliani's, you look at

29:24Mike Lindell's like, man, they had, they had Mark Elias and the crew, man, they

29:30had the, the funding to go after people in ways that even if they didn't

29:35win, they were going to, they were going to decapitate them financially.

29:39Yeah. I mean, one other thing that I did here in the state Senate was

29:43I formed the Senate special committee on investigations by resolution.

29:46So after Willis indicted president Trump and the 18 others, everybody's like, what do we

29:51do? What do we do?

29:52And kind of the prevailing wisdom down here as well, just let it work its

29:55way through the court system.

29:56I'm like, that's not good enough for me.

29:58What? That's not good enough for me.

30:00So I began to work with our lawyers down here and just kind of investigate

30:04what could be done. And the Georgia constitution actually gives the same authority to investigate

30:09the affairs of the state to the legislature as it does the attorney general.

30:14Oh wow. And our attorney general was not doing anything.

30:17And so I wrote a resolution that said, we're going to form a committee.

30:20We're going to give it subpoena power.

30:21We're going to give it the ability to swear witnesses in under oath, which at

30:24our state level is not something that we ever do.

30:27And we did. And we fought her.

30:28We fought Fannie Willis in court for a year and a half, finally got her

30:32to come appear. She appeared on December 17th of last year.

30:36And what we discovered in that hearing was shocking.

30:39We discovered the coordination with the Jan six committee.

30:42We discovered the coordination with the white house, but she of course, doesn't remember anything.

30:47And Nathan Wade, who was her, her paramour, who was conducting all the work for

30:51her in his congressional testimony.

30:54He also said, yeah, I know I build for conversations with the Jan six committee,

30:58but I don't remember who I met with or on the eight hour meeting.

31:02I have no idea who was there and I don't know what we talked about.

31:05I know the same day that Jack Smith was appointed by the white house that

31:09I was on a phone call with the white house for eight hours, but I

31:12have no idea who I was on the phone with.

31:14And I don't know what we talked about.

31:16That's the same day, by the way, that Michael Colangelo left as the number three

31:20guy at DOJ and went down there and went to New York to help Alvin

31:24Bragg. So that, that was the, that was the piece for me that really was

31:28like, Oh, this is all coordinated.

31:30I mean, who's leaving as the number three guy at DOJ to go work in

31:34city DA's office. Nobody, unless you've got your marching orders with, I mean, and I,

31:39and I genuinely believe that they've been building this lawfare program, you know, as far

31:44back as you can think really, I probably the 08, 09, I went to the

31:48Obama administration. And that's when you, you know, the Norm Eisen's and the Mark Elias's

31:53came in and, you know, a lot of the Clinton support groups that really started

31:58to craft how they were going to do this back then.

32:01So did you, as, as now you're, you're gaining steam, where did you see the

32:08attack start coming from at you?

32:11From within the, within my own party.

32:13I mean, so even in the embryonic stages it was the, you know, the leadership

32:19of the Senate led by the Lieutenant governor who now is running for governor in

32:23Georgia as a Democrat. You can't make this up.

32:27Yeah. It's crazy. So they, they were the ones that dropped the hammer on us

32:31initially, but then we just kind of, the real work just kind of died the

32:35slow death of delay. Right.

32:37So we'd move some bills that would die, maybe in the Senate, maybe it would

32:40die in the house. And.

32:43And. This is an issue that frankly, a lot of people are afraid of in

32:47some capacity, but there's a lot of elected officials down here who quite honestly think

32:51that the people that have questions about the 2020 election, or they call them, they

32:56call them quote, the crazies, right?

32:58The crazies, that's right. And so you'll hear, well, the crazies think this and the

33:00crazies think that. And, you know, I think that there obviously are varying degrees of

33:05things that I think did and did not happen.

33:08Um, but what I do know is that the system is fundamentally flawed.

33:12When you've got, when you've got software that can be identified by Homeland Security as

33:17being vulnerable, and then it's going to take you months to update the software, according

33:22to your own secretary of state, that's not a system you should be using.

33:25It's just, you should move yourself off of that system and go analog.

33:29If, if digital is inherently susceptible to attack, which it is, then you move to

33:36an analog system. And so that's what we're looking to do with the bill that

33:39I've got. And frankly, what we've been trying to do for a couple of years

33:41and just haven't been able to get it all the way across the finish line

33:43yet. Okay. Well, you know, and obviously you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, this is not

33:51just a regional or even state, uh, fight because the people that are fighting against

33:58you are well -funded from external groups.

34:01We are, we know now the breakdown of all the different NGOs where they've been

34:04getting money and how they're going after these election systems.

34:07And I think, you know, if you really get into, uh, uh, you know, some

34:13of what Mike bends the research he's done online and where we see how USAID

34:18funded, uh, uh, what is it?

34:21Um, all the different programs to enhance democracy overseas and all these different places where

34:27we went and started influencing elections and convinced them and actually paid for them to

34:33have electronic voting machines and, you know, and, and really started to architect the, to

34:38enhance the architecture of this type of, of, of game now being happening in the

34:44United States. Uh, you know, uh, it like, that's a powerful thing.

34:49So why would you ever want to now move up in the rankings?

34:54Why would you ever want to take the bigger fight?

34:57Right? Obviously, um, you know, I, before you answer that question, did you ever have

35:03a one -on -one with Kemp or Raffensperger?

35:07Uh, not a one -on -one with Raffensperger, but Burt Jones and I, the Lieutenant

35:10Governor, um, and a couple of members of leadership, as we were pushing to update

35:15from 5 .5a, when these vulnerabilities essentially were exposed, we not only had one -on

35:20-one meetings with the secretary, but we actually had meetings with Dominion themselves.

35:25And we were, so I, in my, in my real life, this state center of

35:29things, a part -time deal.

35:30I'm in the software development business and we've, I've owned a technology company with my

35:34partners for 20 plus years.

35:36And when we talked to the Dominion team about their lack of white hat testing,

35:41and we talked to them about their testing procedures and protocols, uh, it was shocking.

35:47Like it was shocking. And we, I don't run mission, we don't write mission critical

35:51software per se. Um, but we write video presentation software that's used to run displays

35:56at the NFL draft and the Olympics and United States Congress.

36:00And so we've got to get it right.

36:02And so I know the QA team and the amount of testing that our team

36:06does. And when I compared that to the answers that I got, when I was

36:10asking questions of Dominion, it was pretty shocking.

36:13And, you know, we're, we're Dominion's largest customer here in Georgia.

36:16We're the only state that uses them statewide statewide.

36:20And when they released version 517 of the software, their testing process process was so

36:26inadequate that they realized that the no wink pull pads, which is the check -in

36:31pad that we use that gives you the card that you put in the Dominion

36:33machine, wasn't compatible with the newest software.

36:36I'm like, guys, how in the world does that happen?

36:39Like in what testing environment are you not testing compatibility for your largest customer, your

36:45only statewide customer? You like, that's the one you got to make happy.

36:50Um, and so I think that some of this just falls to straight incompetence.

36:54Um, you know, more so perhaps than even nefarious actors.

36:58Some of this stuff is just a low bar that was set, but yes, we

37:01met with the secretary. Um, he and I are, are somewhat at odds publicly because

37:09I continue to ask questions.

37:10Even this year in the appropriations hearings, I asked questions about his preparation for the

37:152026 election because he's under a legal mandate to not use the QR code.

37:20And I said, what are your plans?

37:22How are we going to vote in November?

37:24And the answer was, there is no plan and we don't know what's going to

37:28happen. I'm like, sir, it's January.

37:31Like we got to get this rolled out.

37:33And so, um, I think probably the days of the one -on -one meetings are

37:37over. Um, he's actually running for governor here in the state of Georgia.

37:40I know. Um, so, but yes, I have had one -on -one meetings.

37:44Okay. All right. So then the next question then becomes, all right, why would you

37:49ever want to move up in the ranks and, and take the fight at a

37:53higher level now? I have a core conviction that we're in a fight to save

37:58the West. So I was thinking about running for the seat for a while, but

38:03ultimately made my decision to do it on September 10th.

38:07And when I watched Charlie Kirk get assassinated essentially live on Twitter.

38:11I went home and told our two oldest kids who were 11 and 13 about

38:16what they would see, talk to them and then talk to my wife.

38:20And the conviction for me was that that day was an unveiling moment.

38:24And it revealed to me that the fight is not left versus dark.

38:28I'm sorry, left versus right anymore.

38:31The fight is now light versus dark.

38:33And of course, in the days preceding Charlie's death, we began to hear all of

38:38the left kind of put out, you know, supposedly the most controversial things that he

38:42had said. And in context, I have yet to hear him say anything I disagree

38:48with. And so the fact that someone would put a bullet through his vocal cords

38:53because of what he said, knowing that it's exactly what I believe, I'm like, man,

38:59I've got to double down on being bold.

39:00And I knew the guys that are running for Lieutenant Governor because they're all friends

39:04of mine and none of them are bad human beings.

39:08But I'm not convinced they're going to be as bold as we need to be

39:12to save America. And I've served with them.

39:15And I've, you know, they're not bad guys and some of them are conservative.

39:18But it's not just being conservative because I went through 2020 with every one of

39:24them in the Senate. All the guys in the Senate were in the Senate at

39:27the time. And not one of them stood with us and called for a special

39:31session. And not one of them stood with us at the press conference.

39:35And so it's not always a question of ideological worldview and what do you believe?

39:39And oftentimes more so the question is, will you have the guts to stand up

39:44when it really matters? Are you going to run 50 political calculations in your head

39:49before you make a decision and decide, well, the safer thing to do is to

39:53kind of hide under my desk and I'll come back up when the smoke clears.

39:57And so given where Georgia is, and David, if you think about this, Georgia is

40:03ground zero for the fight to save America.

40:05Control of the United States Senate this year probably comes through Georgia.

40:09A hundred percent it does.

40:11The 2028 presidential election comes through Georgia.

40:14A hundred percent. And so for me, we've got to have leaders that put free

40:20market principles, capitalism, love of country, founding small government principles on display.

40:27And I believe that when we do that, we can win elections in this state

40:31by wide margins because the other side is crazy.

40:34And we may not be perfect, but we're not crazy.

40:38You know, we don't want to have men competing against our daughters and sharing locker

40:42rooms with them in sports.

40:43We don't want to, you know, the big controversy here in the state legislature last

40:47year was we passed a bill to ban taxpayer -funded transgender surgery for prisoners.

40:58And the Democrats walked out of the House chamber in protest over that vote.

41:03It's the only vote they protested.

41:05Only thing they got up and walked out over.

41:07And it was taxpayer -funded transgender surgeries for people who are locked up in prison.

41:12And so this is not, you know, this is not even Jimmy Carter's Democrat party

41:19anymore. No, no, this is unrecognized.

41:22This is unrecognized. Well, it's not if you know history, right?

41:26If you know history, it's obvious what it is, right?

41:29And whether you want to call it Marxism or American socialism or whatever it is,

41:35it is what it is, right?

41:36It is what it is.

41:37All right, okay, so is there 10 ,000 doors in your future in this election

41:45cycle? Different animal, man. This game is I've got to raise money and we've got

41:51to be on television. It's a messaging campaign and not a shoe leather campaign.

41:55So I actually stayed in the Senate, which puts me at a disadvantage because I

41:59can't raise money while we're in session.

42:02One of the guys that's running that was in the Senate decided to drop out

42:05so that he could campaign full -time and raise money.

42:07But I looked at the work that was still left to be done.

42:09I'm like, I can't leave.

42:11And so this session alone, the paper ballot bill is my bill.

42:15I've got to build a ban Sharia law that we hopefully will get done.

42:18Passed a bill to really regulate what we're doing on data centers because Georgia gives

42:25$1 .5 billion in crony capitalist tax carve -outs to data centers every year.

42:31And so there's a number of things that I really wanted to work on and

42:34continue to help lead on.

42:35So no 10 ,000 doors, but man, I'm putting a lot of miles in the

42:38truck. I'll tell you that.

47:04Let's just talk a little bit about the Sharia law thing, because it's really in

47:10the news. And there's, you know, there's, whether you're in Michigan, or you're in Minnesota,

47:14or you're in Texas, like people, the whole Sharia law thing in Texas is getting

47:19unbelievably. I mean, there's like a new mosque that pops up.

47:22And I'm not saying that all Muslims are going to move, but if you're Muslim,

47:27there's a component within Islam that guides you towards Sharia law.

47:31It's a, it's a, it's a, what, it's a Quranic requirement, right?

47:37If you really want to be pure, you're going to live under those contexts.

47:41But as we've seen, and I've seen vividly, it's the most, uh, um, um, harshest

47:48way for those that can't, uh, um, what, fight off the intensity of, of that

47:56reality, that, that biblical nature, that eye for an eye, or that, that oppression that

48:02exists within it. You know, they're the ones who suffer.

48:04I'll never forget my first, my first combat deployment, deployment over to Afghanistan.

48:09We're sitting there and we're on this setup for an ambush.

48:13And all of a sudden these nomads come walking right through our ambush with these,

48:17you know, it was bizarre.

48:19It was like camels. I was like, I was back in, like in the 1400s.

48:22It was weird. It was surreal.

48:24And there was, you know, four males and like probably 15 females.

48:28And then all the little kids is down to like a four -year -old was

48:31walking, right? No one's on the camels.

48:33And I remember you could tell, I mean, it was middle of summer, 115 degrees

48:38out and their kids, the kids and the young girls who are completely covered in

48:44burkas are walking and the men, they would start to fall behind the men would

48:48come up and just whip the shit out of them with a giant switch, just

48:52beat them, right? And like, hurry up, not like pick them up and carry them

48:56like we would, but they were just whipping on them.

48:59And then I watched several women in burkas in downtown Kabul and other places that

49:04I worked over the years.

49:06just be brutalized in in public and i was like who what where does this

49:12come from and again plenty of christian men have been abusive to their families right

49:17plenty of jews are abusive right whatever but like this is a dogma that you

49:23know intensifies that kind of of rigidity that that i think orchestrates a totalitarian mindset

49:31so what was the provocation for you to want to fight that battle too yeah

49:37i mean we see what's happening in dearborn we see what's happening in minneapolis we

49:41see what's happening in plano texas and to me this is just another one of

49:45those preventative measures to ensure that we put up protections in georgia law that we

49:51need to have in place it's like when i passed the riley gains act right

49:53i wrote the riley gains act to keep men out of women's sports and locker

49:56rooms and every democrat's like well is this really that big of a problem like

49:59well yeah riley gains swam against leah thomas at georgia tech and that's where the

50:03whole thing happened but setting that aside i want to ensure it doesn't happen to

50:07my daughters right my oldest daughter's 13 my youngest daughter's seven who knows what the

50:10world's going to look like in 12 years when our youngest is in college so

50:14two years yeah yeah right and so there it's a similar it's similar thinking though

50:19right we we recognize we see the islamic tribunal that's been set up outside of

50:23dallas texas where they essentially create a parallel court system that sits outside of the

50:29united states court system and its constitution recognizes the superiority of sharia and they they

50:35make these these legal decisions these binding decisions via arbitration uh that adhere to sharia

50:41and so that in my mind is a camel nose under the tent and so

50:45you've got to ensure that you put these protections in place that all that the

50:48bill does it doesn't even mention sharia law it just says that we're going to

50:52use american laws in georgia courts and if you do have a tribunal system you

50:56cannot enact any tribunal decision that violates someone's constitutional rights because to your point you

51:02do see some of these that perhaps do violate the rights of women um or

51:06you know are abusive to children in some cases and so that's what we're looking

51:10to do but man it's kick up the hornet's nest um oh dude now you've

51:15got you've got two fronts coming at you as well too i mean holy cow

51:19do you have fear i mean obviously you you commented about charlie's assassination and for

51:25i mean for me that was like this humongous weight you know my best friend

51:30is sean ryan and the sean ryan show and like like you see this and

51:34i'm like man everybody's it's open season now you know not to use it that

51:39was a horrible thing to say about charlie in terms of but that's what it

51:42was he was hunted and he was assassinated like you said shot in the throat

51:47in front of the world to shut him up yeah to quiet the message that

51:53was beginning to resonate across millions and millions of young people older people i mean

51:59i remember first time seeing him you know during trump's first term and i was

52:04like holy cow this kid's sharp yeah like it just blown away by him so

52:08i i mean i've been following him for a long time but you know you

52:11you got to realize like the game is changing and the radicalization of the left

52:17the radicalization of of islam the radicalization of of of transgender shooters right that's a

52:24real thing so are you are you afraid you afraid for your family how are

52:29you addressing that i i definitely so when we got some threats when i first

52:35went after fanny willis we got some threats um just this week while i was

52:40in committee passing my paper ballot bill people were calling with threats to my office

52:44here um and then of course you know obviously with with the the sharia ban

52:49we've gotten a couple a few of those as well i'm personally not afraid i'm

52:53i'm content that when my day comes it's going to be in god's sovereignty i

52:56certainly though am afraid for my kids but i'll tell you a quick story so

52:59i i left christmas with my family early this year to go down to texas

53:05to help produce passion conference which is this large collegiate gathering of christian college students

53:09that i've been helping with for 20 plus years now wow that's awesome and my

53:13mom asked my son i've only i've got one son of our four kids and

53:17she said his name is lincoln she said lincoln how do you feel about your

53:21dad running for lieutenant governor and he said mostly good and she said well what

53:25do you mean mostly good and he's like well i'm worried he might get shot

53:28and she's like what do you mean and he said well look at what happened

53:31to the president and charlie kirk yeah so that that hit me man when she

53:35when she told me that that landed pretty hard um that that because he's never

53:39told me that um but when he shared that with her that landed pretty hard

53:43me so i've had a conversation with him obviously since then but yeah man i

53:47mean i recognize that that that's it's a it's a it's an unlikely outcome for

53:51me because i certainly don't have the profile that that charlie did but even my

53:56very first year in the state senate i was on the committee that passed the

54:00heartbeat bill out and ultimately sent that bill to the floor very first year right

54:04i'm wet behind the ears where the bathrooms are and and you jump on the

54:08heaviest topic there is for the left right and and the threats were coming in

54:13and and i you know there was only there was a three two committee small

54:17committee i you know all of us that voted for it passed the decide you

54:20know the deciding vote and committee and we walked out in the hallway we don't

54:24have security we don't have a staff i've got a half of an administrative aide

54:28that we share with one other senator here and um and so it's not you

54:32know we're walking around everywhere by ourselves.

54:35Right. And so the hallways are crowded and they, people start chanting shame, shame, and

54:40they start throwing stuff. And that was one of those moments where I'm like, okay,

54:43I need to get out of here.

54:44Um, I need to keep moving and kind of push through, but, um, but yeah,

54:49it certainly is a possibility trying to dwell on it, but it's, it's sad knowing

54:53that my kids think about it.

54:54Well, I just think, you know, that the people I know that are out there

54:59trying to bring that, that light to expose the dark who are facing the fire,

55:07man, they all say the same thing that my faith in Christ is what's going

55:11to protect me regardless of any physical damage or hurt that I can experience, you

55:16know, in my, as long as I can articulate it late that conviction to my

55:21children, then if I do die, right, they'll know I died for something.

55:27Right. And, and that lesson in and of itself, although tragic in, in all, in

55:31its totality, right. It really, it inspires not only your family, but your friends, everybody

55:39who's watching you on TV.

55:40I mean, you're, you're, you're, you're ripping into Fannie on that, that house floor that

55:45went viral, man. I was like, yeah, it's all fired up for you.

55:49So, okay. So, uh, well, and two things last thing, what do you want to

55:55tell Georgia voters? Like what is, you know, and I know that's impossible to encapsulate

56:01in a few minutes, but obviously what do you want to tell them about you?

56:05And then what do you want to tell them about what you're going to do

56:08for them? Yeah. I mean, about me, I would just say, look, I'm a fighter.

56:12I'm America first, Georgia first have the record to prove it.

56:15Every objective scorecard says that I'm the most conservative guy running this race.

56:20The cool thing is all of us have a voting record and it doesn't matter

56:23what you say on a campaign trail.

56:25What matters is what you do when the rubber meets the road and how do

56:27you vote? And for me, the last eight years consistently, I've been the guy that's

56:31been leading on the hard issues and the one who's not been afraid to stand

56:35up as far as what I will do for them.

56:37I will fight for them.

56:38You know, we didn't know when, when we elected Brian Kemp in 2018, we did

56:42not know that he was going to have to reopen the state during COVID and

56:45that he was going to put an executive order in place that said that my

56:49kids could opt out of a mask mandate.

56:50You don't run on that platform, but you vote for the most conservative person that

56:55you believe that can be elected so that when the stuff comes their way, that's

56:58going to be difficult, like COVID, you hope they apply the principles that they ran

57:03on. But ultimately, you know, in terms of specific policy, it's really simple for me.

57:09I think that we need to cause the next generation to fall in love with

57:13the American dream again. Yes.

57:15Yes. Absent that you will have, you'll basically have Zoram Amdani is a better looking

57:23Bernie Sanders that smiles when he talks, right?

57:26And not as slimy as Newsome.

57:29It's crazy uncle Bernie that looks good and sounds good.

57:32Yeah. And what's happening is the next generation feels like they're being left behind in

57:37the middle class is disappearing before our very eyes.

57:39And so people are like, well, this isn't working for me.

57:43I can't afford to buy a house until I'm 41 years old in America.

57:47Maybe I'll try this whole rent control thing.

57:50And so we have to restore the American dream.

57:53We have to expand the middle class again.

57:56I passed a bill out of committee earlier this week, David, to ban hedge funds

58:00and private equity groups from buying thousands of homes in Georgia and turning us into

58:05a nation of renters. Blackstone is using foreign investment money to come into Atlanta and

58:11other investment firms. And these investment firms are buying 30 % of the resale homes

58:17in Metro Atlanta. Three years ago, I saw a piece of data, sorry to cut

58:21you off, that said in the Atlanta area, 80 % of the single family homes

58:27were owned by three different companies.

58:30Is it somewhere near that?

58:33What are the numbers, actual numbers?

58:35So it's 30 % of the total resale homes have been bought by an investor.

58:42And it could be that 80 % of the 30 % are consolidated to invitation

58:46homes and the few big players.

58:48Got it. Got it. It's my opinion and my firm belief that the sovereign, the

58:56Saudi sovereign wealth fund and the Chinese fully recognize that they will never win a

59:01war with America. But if they can create civil unrest by purging the middle class

59:07and essentially stoking the winds and the flames of class warfare, that you can essentially

59:14conquer America without ever firing a shot.

59:18And if you look at the last hundred years of this country, the entire wealth

59:22creation mechanism for the middle class, my parents are the perfect example of this.

59:26My mom was a public school teacher.

59:28My dad was a paper salesman.

59:30Mom stopped working when she got pregnant with me.

59:33And we got by on dad's salesman salary, which we lived a comfortable middle -class

59:38lifestyle, nothing extravagant. We bought used cars.

59:43We went out to eat less than one time a month.

59:46But we were content. And frankly, we didn't have the internet.

59:49So we didn't know what we didn't have, right?

59:52But they built their wealth through building equity in their home, which they bought when

59:57they got married in their early thirties.

59:59So they signed a 30 -year mortgage and a 32 -year mortgage.

1:00:01years old and they were able to pay it off.

1:00:03And now they're living a retirement life that in part recognizes the equity they built

1:00:07by paying off their home.

1:00:09Well, if you're buying your first house when you're 41 years old, and that's when

1:00:14you're signing your 30 -year mortgage, you're not retiring at 65.

1:00:17At all. Yeah. So you're cooked, right?

1:00:21And so when I was growing up in the 80s, half of men in America

1:00:26were married and owned a home by the time they were 30 years old.

1:00:30Today, that's 12%. And so you look at the downstream societal implications of that.

1:00:37Obviously, Elon Musk would tell us we're having far too few children.

1:00:40And that's an existential threat that he believes is facing the West as well.

1:00:45But in terms of what it does socially and economically on the economic side, it's

1:00:50very, very frightening as well.

1:00:52I tell you what, Greg, you speak truth to your words because of those deeds,

1:01:00because of those $10 ,000, man.

1:01:02I just commend you. Thank you so much for coming on and sharing your story.
