3:57I took my 16 -year -old daughter to see the Normally's favorite comedian, Nate Brigazzi,

4:03last night. Yes. Super hilarious and, you know, very, very clean humor.

4:09Really, really funny. Kevin James did a surprise opening for him.

4:13There was three openers. They added Kevin James at the last minute.

4:16He basically told a joke and a half, and we laughed our faces off.

4:21Like, it was a really quick Kevin James appearance, but it was so funny.

4:27Yeah. Now, that's a normie night right there.

4:29Kevin James and Nate Brigazzi.

4:31So good. Yeah. There was like nothing that was questionable at all.

4:35It was really great. And she had a great time.

4:37It was part of her 16th birthday present.

4:40And you know what? We did not take the boys because we're allowed to do

4:43that. We didn't invite the boys.

4:46It might be time to cancel you or impeach you for that one.

4:50Oh, my goodness. I'll never play hockey again.

4:54Well, the news is both weird and momentous this week.

4:58Yeah. Carol, I mean, we knew it was coming, and then it came.

5:04Yeah. So there has been a U .S.

5:07and Israel together attack on Iran over several days now.

5:13And, you know, some have said in retrospect, perhaps the tell was that the entire

5:17U .S. military was at the doorstep of Iran.

5:21Right. But it seems like the president for several weeks was...

5:26weighing different plans and trying to decide and wasn't sure if they were going to

5:31go for it. And then they did.

5:34And then they did. It's called Operation Epic Fury.

5:38I saw some people mocking this online as being like too childish and simplistic.

5:42Like, I love that. I love simple words describing things very clearly.

5:47We are epically furious. And we're going to launch an operation.

5:52I mean, Desert Storm is one of the great monikers of our time.

5:57There's nothing wrong with a boss operation name.

6:00You got to have a cool operation name.

6:02Right. Right. So that's what's happening.

6:05We, of course, this was, as some members of Congress are noting, not authorized by

6:11Congress, although some of them, it seems, were briefed in various ways and various degrees

6:15at different times. The president has not addressed the American people about this yet.

6:20And I do think that he needs to do that at some point.

6:24But I am comfortable with the idea that presidents can do strikes without totally telegraphing

6:31exactly what they're going to do at any moment by even briefing Congress and then

6:36having it leaked, which is a real risk when you're in these situations.

6:39Absolutely. And I think Trump takes that risk extra, extra seriously.

6:44So we attacked Iran and we hit over a thousand targets in just a few

6:51days. Israel and the U .S.

6:52are, like you said, coordinating on this.

6:55And Iran has launched missile and drone attacks all across the Middle East.

6:59I'm talking Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and a bunch of other Gulf states in

7:06response to this. And it's crazy.

7:08And, you know, I tweeted the picture of The Economist, you know, like last year

7:12saying they had an Israeli flag and it was like Israel alone.

7:16Like Israel's literally working with the rest of the Middle East against Iran and no

7:22one is posting up Iran alone on their cover because, you know, the idea that

7:28Israel should be sort of isolated is one that the left pushes.

7:33It's one that people on the right sometimes buy into.

7:35It's one that America largely rejects.

7:39Well, and the groundwork for this sort of amazing alliance was laid in Trump one

7:44with the Abraham Accords. But to see Iran, you know, there are costs in any

7:50military operation and there are already four American troop members who we've lost in this

7:55operation. So that is it's a very serious undertaking.

7:59And also the extent to which we are able to very specifically target very specific

8:06things with success, thereby, by the way, sparing civilians in Iran to the greatest degree

8:13possible. And the way that Iran's response over and over again, by the way, since

8:20Israel started taking out many of the the their capabilities many months and years or

8:26in these various operations has been sort of like surprisingly sporadic and has led to

8:34them hitting all these other countries.

8:36And the reaction of those other countries has been to go, whoa, whoa, whoa.

8:40Yeah. Now we're with these guys.

8:42And by the way, for anybody watching, this should show why these guys cannot have

8:47nukes because the IRGC, the Republican guard there is like, I think we should just

8:53hit the entire Middle East now and all of our sometimes friends, anyone we can

8:59reach. So it seems like a really good reason to keep them from having nukes.

9:03Absolutely. And that's such an important thing.

9:06Like I keep seeing people.

9:07I mean, I saw somebody say, like, how come the U .S.

9:09doesn't take on North Korea?

9:11And it's because they have nukes or it's because they're on their way.

9:14Like they already have the weaponry that we don't want them to have.

9:18Yes. And once you have crazy people having that, it becomes a far larger risk.

9:24I'm devastated that four Americans were killed in this operation.

9:27Can you imagine how many would be killed if Iran did have nukes?

9:31And it just we need to be serious.

9:34And I have to say that, again, is it surprising to me that Donald Trump

9:39is the grown up in the room?

9:41Yes. But he is the grown up in the room.

9:43It's marvelous, you know, amazing to watch it.

9:46And it's just a reality that I'm able to face and people who didn't always

9:53like Trump should be able to face it as well.

9:56Yeah. And a lot of this, again, we don't have the names of those troops,

9:59which we will give to you guys when we have them.

10:01But I want to be sensitive about that.

10:03The rationale for this is kind of all over the map because it's Donald Trump,

10:09which is why I think an address is warranted.

10:11And yet most of the reasons I am down with, right, at least when it

10:16comes to a short operation, when we get to more in -depth stuff, you know,

10:20we need to think that through.

10:22But you have the threat that they could become nuclear and critics say, oh, but

10:28didn't we decimate or take, you know, completely ruin all of their nuclear capabilities?

10:33Well, they did a good job.

10:35And also they can rebuild, which was always the problem.

10:38And build other things. Yeah.

10:40Right. A desperate Iran could build a dirty bomb.

10:43That's, you know, a conversation that I'm seeing.

10:46And, you know, there are many people who hang their hats on the JCPOA, which

10:51was the Obama -negotiated deal.

10:53with iran but its limits many of them sunsetted this year right so they pulling

10:59out of that and by the way they violated it the entire time it was

11:03enacted and then also obama just thought or said he thought that if they gave

11:10money to the iranians and if they relaxed sanctions on the iranians uh that all

11:16that money would just go to making things better for the citizens of iran because

11:20in an actual speech obama's like you know even in a dictatorship you can't just

11:24ignore the concerns of yes you can that's actually you can yeah dictatorships work so

11:30all that money did go to all these proxies who have been destroyed by israel's

11:35incredible intelligence and military with some of our help uh and obama's philosophy was just

11:41wrong giving them pallets of cash didn't work to stop the badness and perhaps bombing

11:48is the way to stop the badness yeah absolutely and i look the the fact

11:54is that donald trump is erratic you don't know what he's going to do you

11:58don't know what he's going to say you don't know you know what the next

12:01step is going to be and that has worked very much in his favor i

12:06i think that that has been just an amazing part of the donald trump second

12:10term here where the bad guys don't know what to expect one day maduro's still

12:15the leader of venezuela the next day he's not and the same thing here where

12:19on day one the u .s and israel took out ayatollah khamenei and so many

12:25of his top people because and i love the way you you worded it in

12:28a tweet you know somebody's gonna get in trouble if that meeting could have been

12:31an email um but how do they meet knowing that the entire u .s military

12:37is poised and ready in the middle east like how do you guys have a

12:42face -to -face meeting and think that's going to be okay well and i think

12:45what american intel and israeli intel by the way just shout out to the iranian

12:49people for coming and being dead that that is a that's a huge thing in

12:54and of itself and there was celebration in the streets in iran but i think

12:58american and israeli intelligence together uh have prevented the leaders of these proxy groups and

13:06iran from having electronic or in -person communication like they they can't do it and

13:12they keep getting knocked off every time they replace someone as the head of iran

13:16right now uh which means that eventually and i think some of the uh weird

13:21nature of these strikes from the irgc is because they do not have a command

13:25structure because the command structure keeps getting collapsed that's amazing it's it's also just it's

13:32crazy to think about somebody else posted a picture of the george w bush administration

13:37and said you know imagine telling these people that the guy on the apprentice would

13:43be the one to take out iran it's incredible it's it's truly incredible and then

13:48um somebody else noted that this is like everything bill crystal has ever wanted in

13:53his entire life and he can't be happy because it's the guy he hates more

13:58than anything else anybody else in the world delivering on the things that he wants

14:01it's just i also want to note a couple other rationales for doing this one

14:07of course that trump said help is on the way to iranians who put their

14:11lives on the line and many of them died coming out and protesting the regime

14:15and i think beyond uh freedom for the iranian people which has been mentioned but

14:20also gets people's uh gets people nervous because it speaks to regime change and boots

14:26on the ground and being involved for long periods of time uh even though freedom

14:30is mentioned i think trump's probably more interested in his threat credibility and i think

14:36probably people were telling him if you say helps on the way and then you

14:40don't deliver in a very obvious way you lose that with these other bad guys

14:45and i think that's something he wanted preserved i should also mention and i think

14:48it's important to mention uh that the iranian regime has been trying to assassinate him

14:54for right not a small period of time and he even said i got him

14:58before they got me him saying that i got that i got them before they

15:02got me is just it's a glorious moment it's also going back to something we've

15:06talked about you could just do things you could just do things and donald trump

15:10is like watch me do those things there's also this great clip circulating of donald

15:15trump in 1980 talking about what we need to do with iran and i know

15:19people think that he ran on never attacking anybody and and um you know sticking

15:24our head in our shell and never coming out but i didn't see that at

15:27all as as a donald trump campaign i think people just imagine that um and

15:32so let's roll that clip of donald trump 1980 talking about iran when you get

15:37the respect of the other countries then the other countries tend to do a little

15:41bit as you do and you can create the right attitudes the the iranian situation

15:46is a case in point that they hold our hostages is just absolutely and totally

15:54ridiculous that this country sits back and allows a country such as iran to hold

16:00our hostages to my way of thinking is a horror and i don't think they'd

16:06do it with other countries i honestly don't think they'd do it with other countries

16:10obviously you're advocating that we should have gone in there with troops etc and brought

16:14our boys out i absolutely feel that yes i don't think there's any question and

16:18there's no question in my mind i think right now would be An oil rich

16:22nation. And I believe that we should have done it.

16:25And I'm very disappointed that we didn't do it.

16:27And I don't think anybody would have held us in abeyance.

16:31I don't think anybody would have been angry with us.

16:33And we had every right to do it at the time.

16:36I think we've lost the opportunity.

16:38It's kind of an amazing clip.

16:40It really is. He still talks like that.

16:42He looks just like Barron.

16:44I mean, really looks like Barron there.

16:47And he's, again, I get all the reasons people don't like Donald Trump.

16:53I really do. But the fact is, he's he's very frank.

16:56And he's like, we could have just taken their oil, you know, whereas like George

17:00W. Bush went to war with Iraq.

17:02And everybody was like, you're doing this for oil.

17:04And then we didn't take any of their oil.

17:06We didn't. He got criticized for that without actually doing it.

17:12I know. I think he's he's also just he is a president who is very

17:15interested in and very informed about how he can wield American power.

17:22Yeah. And he's doing it in a way that says basically like, oh, we're going

17:25to lop the head off over and over again until you act right.

17:28And if you act right, you might not get bombed again.

17:32But you have to act right, whether it's Venezuela or Iran.

17:36Right. And I don't know what that means at the top eventually.

17:39But it does mean that you've preserved the threat, which means people may act right,

17:45which is what he's attempting without doing a whole enduring campaign.

17:50That's right. And I hope it's not an enduring campaign.

17:53The question now becomes what comes next and how does the U .S.

17:57proceed from here? Of course, the question on everybody's mind is how long are we

18:02going to be in there?

18:03How involved are we going to be in the region?

18:06And today, Pete Hegseth was asked about American boots on the ground, and I think

18:10he gave a stellar answer.

18:12We'll talk about it after we roll this clip.

18:14No, but we're not going to go into the exercise of what we will or

18:17will not do. I think it's one of those fallacies for a long time that

18:21this department or presidents or others should tell the American people this and our enemies,

18:26by the way, here's exactly what we'll do.

18:28Here's exactly how long we'll go.

18:29Here's exactly how far we'll go.

18:31Here's what we're willing to do and not do.

18:33It's foolishness. And so President Trump ensures that our enemies understand we'll go as far

18:38as we need to go to advanced American interests.

18:42But we're not dumb about it.

18:43You don't have to roll 200 ,000 people in there and stay for 20 years.

18:47Yeah. You know, that clip is being shared as Pete Hegseth won't rule out boots

18:52on the ground. And it's like, yeah, he won't rule out anything.

18:55He will not ask him the question about like, will we shoot at Iran with

18:59space lasers from Mars? And he'll be like, I don't know.

19:02Everything's on the table. It could be anything right now.

19:04And that's a very Trump orientated answer where Trump is like, I'm not ruling out

19:08a single thing. I'm not telling you what we're going to do.

19:11I'm not telling you what we're not going to do.

19:13You're going to have to roll with it and see what happens.

19:15And we'll take it from there.

19:16And that's Pete Hegseth giving a very Trumpian response of like, all options are on

19:22the table. Yeah, that means he has not ruled out putting American boots on the

19:26ground. I don't think that's going to happen, but we'll see.

19:29Well, and I think you're right, Carol, that the advertisement wasn't complete disengagement and never

19:34striking anyone. Right. I understood that because I saw Trump won, which included strategic strikes

19:41against Soleimani, among others. I called it like occasional bellicosity, like Americans aren't mad if

19:48you hit something very hard and it's effective.

19:50And then we move on.

19:52Venezuela is another example. The Forto bombing runs with the B2s, another example.

19:57And people are very happy to see American might, for the most part, other than

20:01the people who like hate the West.

20:03But for the most part, happy to see American might displayed and for it to

20:07be effective and for it to be competent, which it has been on all of

20:10these operations. And I would also add, for anybody who knew anyone who was hurt

20:17during those many years that made Americans war weary in the global war on terror,

20:23I would also note that somebody, Patrick Fox, who's a vet, notes, as a global

20:29war on terror vet, it is difficult to fully explain to younger folks the satisfaction

20:32I take in watching the Islamic Republic be dismantled.

20:35The IRGC armed and trained terrorists for decades, specifically supplying and training those groups on

20:41the EFPs that killed and maimed hundreds of my brothers and sisters in arms.

20:45They deserve everything they get.

20:47And that is an element of this that I think some, if you're not paying

20:51attention, will miss. Like this was the head of the snake that was supplying all

20:56these other things that hurt a bunch of American troops actively, on purpose, frequently, for

21:02many, many years. And if you can change that dynamic, it can lead to a

21:07safer Middle Eastern world. Absolutely.

21:11But speaking of a safer world, we had at least one home attack since the

21:18attack on Iran began, possibly two.

21:21We don't know exactly what happened with the second one quite yet.

21:24But the first one was in Austin, where an American citizen who was born in

21:30Senegal, his name is Indiaga Diagne.

21:34He was wearing a shirt that referred to Allah.

21:38Underneath it, he had an Iranian shirt on.

21:42He killed three people in Austin at a bar randomly.

21:46And it's looking like this was a...

21:49retaliatory attack. There was a second incident, which we're not clear yet if this was

21:54related to anything going on in the Middle East or not, stabbed several people on

22:01the I -495 in Virginia with a curved dagger resembling a meat cleaver.

22:08And we don't know what the situation there is quite yet.

22:13Yeah, I thought that when it was in northern Virginia, it was like one of

22:18those situations where it was in traffic, could have been road rage, but I thought

22:21a dagger seems weird, a stabbing seems odd for that situation.

22:26And at least one woman and her dog were killed in this interaction, and the

22:31trooper shot the suspect dead.

22:34So law enforcement intervened and probably saved some other lives.

22:37There are other people who are being treated at this point, I believe.

22:40But yeah, we don't know the motivations of that one yet, but it sure sounds

22:43weird. Right. Also, people like Mehdi Hassan are quoting Scott Jennings saying that terrorism stops

22:50now because of Trump's attack on Iran.

22:52And Mehdi says, pretty sure he has just energized extremists and given them an excuse

22:57to attack Americans. Every president who starts wars in the Mideast ends up becoming a

23:02recruiting sergeant for terror groups.

23:04And that just sounds like extortion.

23:06Do what we want or we're going to kill you here.

23:08And I don't know how Mehdi Hassan gets to have a role in American public

23:12life when he says things like that.

23:14You're not pro -America in that way.

23:16You're rooting for attacks against America and against Americans because the ideology is not going

23:21your way. I just at no point did I want Americans to die so that

23:26Biden could see the error of his ways and maybe close the border or something.

23:30I wasn't like rooting for that to happen in order for Biden to do my

23:34preferred policy. But people like Mehdi are rooting for it.

23:37And it's really sick. Well, and he calls it, I think he called it at

23:41one point, understandable or predictable terrorist blowback attacks.

23:46And I would just say it's weird that it wasn't predictable or understandable that we

23:51would have terrorist blowback attacks after like the Venezuela operation.

23:55Why is it different? Why are we not worried about a bunch of Venezuelan Americans

23:59coming and stabbing people or shooting people in bars?

24:02Like that's it seems like you're telling on yourself a little bit and you are

24:06saying, yes, if you do what we do want you to do, then you don't

24:11get hurt. But Donald Trump certainly will not be operating that way.

24:15Yeah, that's a really great point about Venezuela.

24:18That's exactly right. And by the way, we should note also that the that the

24:24social media being once again flooded with expressions of joy by Iranians and Iranian Americans,

24:30just like it was by Venezuelan and Venezuelan Americans, is very helpful for the affluent

24:35white American left that can can have these voices centered as opposed to their own

24:41feelings for a moment so that they can understand that in many ways people do

24:46see this as a liberation and an opportunity for this country that has been under

24:50the thumb of the exact people they say they hate, like religious extremists who kill

24:56gay people and want women to not drive.

24:58You know, whatever. Yeah, they say that they don't like somehow.

25:03Yeah. Somehow you ended up on that side and you're telling the Iranians to hush

25:07because Trump. I don't think that's a good idea, but it is so nice to

25:09see people out in the streets and so joyous.

25:12I walked nearby the the the big demonstration in Georgetown the other night and people

25:17were just screaming in the streets and, you know, strangely, no property destruction involved with

25:21these particular types of events.

25:24Yeah. And waving the real Iranian flag.

25:26So very nice to see, even though, as always, we we hold out to see

25:31what the next days bring and what this means.

28:48up to. Well, the guy running for U .S.

28:54Senate from Maine, Graham Plattner, who had previously had a Nazi tattoo, which he had

28:59for decades, but then he finally said he was getting it removed, has now been

29:04found to have an interview with an anti -Semitic conspiracy theorist podcaster.

29:11I saw this. It was actually a liberal who posted it, and I saw it.

29:15It's like Shia Jain writes, an accidental Nazi tattoo, an accidental repost of an anti

29:21-Semitic account, an accidental interview with an anti -Semitic conspiracy theorist he was accidentally a

29:26longtime fan of. Have fun.

29:28I'm out. Which I'm proud of somebody who takes that route.

29:32That's what I would do if I found out that somebody I supported had a

29:36number of accidental Nazi leanings like that.

29:39That's the correct path here.

29:41It does seem weird. You would think somebody's anti -Semitism would just be only relegated

29:46to the permanent body art they decided to have.

29:48And it seems so strange that it would leak out into your actual beliefs.

29:52I mean, this is all not credible.

29:56And he was actually asked about it on a call -in show by actual voters

30:02the other day. And he's doing this thing like, I didn't know what it meant.

30:06And that's not true, according to friends of his who knew him at the time

30:09when he got this tattoo, which he considered edgy for these reasons.

30:15But he is running against, in this primary, the established Democrat governor of Maine.

30:22But he is leading her.

30:24And Ruben Gallego, who is a young, sometimes interesting Democratic senator from Arizona.

30:31Considered a moderate. Yes, considered a moderate, has endorsed this guy despite the repeated illustrations

30:38of Nazi leanings. Not so great.

30:41And I think some of this is like, Ruben Gallego is like a little bit

30:46more of a guy's guy.

30:47Like, this is the masculinity that they're branding here.

30:49And I would just say that maybe the masculinity on either side should not be

30:53joined with these tendencies, which it seems to be too often.

30:57Yeah, absolutely. You know, but going, you know, we talk about this a lot on

31:01here, but can you imagine if a Republican accidentally got a Nazi tattoo and then

31:07accidentally reposted something anti -Semitic and then accidentally was a fan of an anti -Semitic

31:13podcast that they then went on?

31:14What would be the reaction?

31:16Would we be learning about this from smaller Twitter accounts or would this be wall

31:20-to -wall news? And the fact that Graham Plattner being a Nazi lover is sort

31:24of a side note in the Democratic Party because of their relationship with the mainstream

31:30media is kind of wild.

31:33The thing is, when our people go anti -Semitic, they start praising them to use

31:37them as a wedge to split the rest of us.

31:39That's what happens. That's exactly right.

31:42They get better press than I get.

31:44Yes, that's right. All right.

31:47What else are the Democrats up to?

31:49Bernie Sanders is unveiling a new mega tax.

31:52You could picture him saying that on America's billionaires.

31:56He says it would raise $4 .4 trillion.

32:01Sure. Yeah. Ro Khanna is introducing a House version of the bill.

32:06I mean, and you know, it's so funny.

32:08So again, it's so nice to be a Democrat.

32:10The chief economics reporter for The Washington Post, he posts about this and he writes,

32:16the money would be directed to, and he gives me like a little list of

32:19what the fictional $4 .4 trillion would be directed to.

32:22$3 ,000 stimulus checks per person.

32:25Expand Medicare to include dental vision and hearing for all seniors.

32:29Ensure every public school teacher gets paid at least $60 ,000 a year.

32:33$850 billion for affordable home construction.

32:35This list is like what my four -year -old would write.

32:38And it's like, you know, imaginary journal of what he wants for Christmas.

32:43I mean, this is like.

32:45nonsense. This is such nonsense.

32:47It's just like Iran spent all that cash on making the lives of its citizens.

32:51We don't believe you guys.

32:53These are insane things to say.

32:55This is an imaginary world you're living in.

32:58And also, 4 .4 trillion ain't going to cut it, guys.

33:02It ain't going to cut it.

33:05Yes, you're absolutely right. 4 .4 trillion is not going to cut it, but they're

33:09also never going to get 4 .4 trillion.

33:11The billionaires are not going to sit around being like, please, idiot people in Congress,

33:16take my money. I want you to spend it for me.

33:18I mean, we're seeing that in California because of Ro Khanna's support for proposal there.

33:23It's literally happening where liberal billionaires, billionaires on the left are leaving.

33:30These are not right -wing billionaires.

33:31All the right -wing billionaires will be out before this is anywhere near.

33:35But the ones on the left are also leaving.

33:37They've all bolted. So they're all living in Florida and they better be voting right.

33:41The thing that's always, again, they don't understand incentives or how actual economics work.

33:45No, they don't. If they did, they wouldn't be pitching this.

33:47But smart, brave people don't have to do smart, risk -taking work.

33:54They could do much easier work.

33:56And once they're billionaires, they can just not work.

34:00And then you lose what they would have created if you hadn't turned them into

34:05non -workers by stealing all of their money.

34:08Like, it's just, I know they don't understand where it comes from because Bernie was

34:12asked by a constituent where wealth comes from and he doesn't know.

34:16I should also note that Senator Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma went after Bernie on

34:21the Hill last week and it was fantastic.

34:24And he said, because he shaded him a little bit, Bernie did after he had

34:27done a little rant about health care and how Obamacare hadn't fixed anything.

34:32And Bernie shades him and Mark Wayne Mullen is like, you're the system.

34:36You've been here longer than I've been alive.

34:38You haven't fixed anything. It's amazing.

34:42And Bernie's like, whoa, whoa, whoa.

34:44I had no comeback for that.

34:46It's true. It's true. Yeah.

34:48Oh, it's just ignorance, man.

34:50It's unbelievable. And we're heading into this just Democrats becoming full -on socialist moment.

34:56I think that the next presidential election is going to be very illuminating, the same

35:00way that they raise their hands for just ridiculous things the last time around, whether

35:05or not, um, the last time they raised their hands for things like, should anybody

35:09be able to get free health care in America?

35:12And it literally could have meant anybody in the whole wide world comes to America

35:15and will get free health care.

35:17Um, and all of them raise their hands.

35:20And so we're going to have situations like that where they're raising their hands during

35:24these debates for just ridiculous stuff.

35:27Like, do you think we should seize the wealth of all the billionaires and they're

35:30going to largely raise their hands because they need to get through the democratic primary.

35:35And then the American people are going to have to decide whether these crazy people

35:38should be elected president in the general, despite what they said in the primary when

35:43they inevitably try to walk it back.

35:45Yeah. Let me note one more crazy Democrat thing in Northern Virginia.

35:49Once again, there was a stabbing murder of a woman at a bus stop last

35:53week. The perpetrator of this, it turns out is an illegal immigrant with 30 prior

35:58arrests, many of them extremely violent, including, but not limited to forcible rape and malicious

36:07wounding, which is another attempt to murder someone.

36:10And our, our Soros funded prosecutor doesn't prosecute crime.

36:15So this man has been on the loose and our Soros funded prosecutor and the

36:21area does not turn people into ice.

36:24So he's been allowed to stay here for 15 years doing these crimes.

36:29And this was the end result.

36:31I wonder if he'll go home now or be punished.

36:34Still not still unclear, right?

40:23with, Carol. This is the story about how politics came for a parenting group chat

40:30in Petworth in Washington, D .C., which is a very blue area, gentrified, exactly what

40:39you're imagining for parents in an urban area, having a group chat that goes political.

40:44So what happens is after October 7th and during the Gaza War, people in this

40:50group chat, which had formerly just been, like, it started as 15 moms with newborns

40:54just chatting about things they needed, and then it became very popular.

40:57So of course they made it into a whole non -profit with a board and

41:00it got very big. And during the Gaza War, a bunch of people were like,

41:06hey, hey, though, where does Petworth Peanuts stand on the Israel -Palestine conflict?

41:15And the group leadership is like, actually, we should probably not do that, which is

41:19the correct decision. Right. Everyone in this very lib group starts, or not everyone, but

41:25many of them get so angry that they're not politicizing the group that they split

41:30off into a rival group, which they originally called Free Range.

41:35And I'm offended because that's my brain.

41:36Right. I thought that was, yeah, I thought Free Range would be like the parents

41:40who let their kids have a little freedom.

41:43But turns out, no, it has nothing to do with that.

41:45It's the ones who don't want anyone to have freedom, actually.

41:49So some of the contributions during this fight are so hilarious, but like a couple

41:54of them here from the reporter, not surprising this chat has gone the same way,

41:58same path as the country.

42:00Stop with the lies. You're acting like the children we come here to learn how

42:03to handle. If this is not a parenting community, but an escape, a mirage of

42:07what parenting is, then I very sadly can no longer be a part of this

42:10group. All because it won't overtly engage in politics.

42:16And by the way, training for activism.

42:18That's what these parents wanted this formerly neutral parenting group to be.

42:23And it's miserable. It's miserable.

42:28Yeah. It's the thing is that these people need politics to be a part of

42:32every single thing they do.

42:33They do. You know, when AOC once said, no going back to brunch, what that

42:38meant was you're not allowed to do anything, anything without having it be a political

42:43action, without having a political point.

42:45Correct. So exhausting. It's so tiring.

42:47We would never stand for that.

42:49Imagine the conservative world was like, there's no going back to brunch.

42:52We have to just constantly be on guard and on alert and talking about this

42:55all the time. We'd be like, bro, stop it.

42:58We're going to brunch. We're going to flavor of this.

43:04This is the letter from the objectors to Petworth Peanuts.

43:09We write as concerned members of the Petworth Peanuts community, parents, caregivers, and neighbors who

43:15are deeply invested in safety, inclusion, and solidarity.

43:19It requested a town hall for open dialogue about justice issues.

43:24This is a parent group.

43:29They said the political moment requires acknowledging that silence is not neutral.

43:33In moments of crisis, silence is siding with power.

43:38I, they're. coming for everything and they have since 2020 and they want every part

43:44of your life to be 2020 again all the time the leaders of this group

43:48who certainly are not right -leaning they just wanted a parents group they eventually did

43:53the right thing and said if you want to do this you need to go

43:56elsewhere and they rebooted the group chat and started a new whatsapp and you know

44:00what it's been non -toxic and pleasant ever since because if you put your foot

44:06down with these people they won't ruin things like usa hockey and parent groups where

44:12you just want to do things that are needed in your life yeah you have

44:17to fight them is is the reality of it and what we saw in the

44:20years after 2020 i think that a lot of people learned very valuable lessons where

44:25if you give them an inch they'll take the whole mile i saw it happen

44:29on my super far left neighborhood groups back in brooklyn where you were not allowed

44:35you know the liberals were the ones targeted the most again nobody cares what conservatives

44:39think or what we do or whatever we're non -entities to them but it's the

44:44liberals who are targeted by the leftists who are like you're not doing enough you're

44:49not far enough you're not with us and the liberals like no no i'm with

44:53you but then once you give them a little bit of that no no i'm

44:56with you it's over for you it's and this is what was good about the

45:00usa hockey thing by the way that none of those guys really gave an inch

45:03and then by the way on snl they had both the women and the men

45:07out and did a good nature joke about the whole thing and it turns out

45:09that like people who are emotionally well regulated can just enjoy life and not make

45:14a huge deal out of everything i do think at the end of this what

45:17you learn from this parenting group crack up is that even in a liberal group

45:22in petworth in washington dc there are there is a silent majority that just wants

45:27to enjoy the thing that you've created and doesn't like these people ruining it but

45:32someone has to stand up and be the bad guy and the leader of this

45:35group was yeah yeah right you got to stand up to him that's that's the

45:39the reality of it and you have to be brave and you have to not

45:41care about the shots and you if you're a liberal you have to just be

45:45like i'm still going to stay a liberal and i don't care what you say

45:47yeah and they're going to be super mean to you but it turns out in

45:50this case and this may be the vibe shift they did just go and form

45:54their other one and people who want to be insufferable are over there doing it

45:58and then in the old one people are actually talking about parenting because one of

46:02the silent majority was like yeah i just want to know like what activities to

46:07put my kid in i don't not looking to do nice going to jimboree you

46:11know it's it's so ridiculous there was a very funny uh liberal very liberal coded

46:19uh miscue here where one of the board members uh some of them say uh

46:24you know we need to show our support for immigrant families in direct ways and

46:29someone suggested maybe we should make appreciation posts for our nannies which is um how'd

46:38that go very liberal affluent uh messaging there yeah she got criticized for that one

46:44yeah yeah yeah i remember when kelly osborne on i think it was on the

46:49view uh during the first trump term she was like if trump deports all the

46:53immigrants who are good who's going to clean our toilets and it's like yes we

46:56thought she was being pro -immigrant there oh my gosh political uh when the schools

47:05were closed or right right yes civil rights violation of daily activities in my living

47:11memory happened but whatever sure now that now that trump used the national guard to

47:16by the way i checked it bring crime down 20 in the petworth neighborhood they're

47:22like well now we're very angry right now we have to do something yeah oh
