1:50Donald Trump is panicking as his unlawful war against Iran is spiraling out of control.
1:55Folks, we just learned from U .S.
1:57Central Command that they are aware of a loss of a U .S.
2:01KC -135 refueling aircraft. The incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury.
2:09Rescue efforts are ongoing. In the KC -135s, there are six crew.
2:15And as of this recording, those six crew are still missing.
2:21There were two aircraft involved in this incident.
2:24The other aircraft was another KC -135, which was able to land safely.
2:31One of the aircraft went down in western Iraq.
2:34The second landed safely. According to U .S.
2:37Central Command, which unfortunately does lie about a lot right now under the Trump regime,
2:43this was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire.
2:48We will keep you posted there.
2:49At the same time, drone attacks from Iran have now struck a French base, a
2:56joint Peshmerga, France base in the Makhmor region in northern Iraq.
3:02This is according to a statement from the Erbil governor based on what just took
3:09place. We have video of it as well, of these Iranian drones hitting a French
3:13military base near Erbil airport in Iraq.
3:16This injured six French soldiers.
3:19So I believe there are six American crew that are missing from the KC -135.
3:24Six French soldiers have been injured as this war is expanding.
3:29And we're learning that one of the main beneficiaries of this is Vladimir Putin, who's
3:35basically making hundreds of millions of dollars every day right now from selling oil.
3:41Should also be noted that the Strait of Hermoz, while closed by Iran, remains open,
3:46though, to Iran and China.
3:49Donald Trump is panicking, according to multiple sources from NBC and elsewhere, that the market
3:56is turning against him and that high gasoline prices pose a political danger to him.
4:03You think? So Donald Trump's posting, where's the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Too Late Powell
4:08today? He should be dropping interest rates right now immediately.
4:11Not wait for the next meeting, Donald J.
4:14Trump. Well, inflation is surging.
4:15So I think your ability to drop interest rates right now would probably be one
4:19of the most disastrous things.
4:20Everything this guy does is the most disastrous thing ever.
4:23And now you have Treasury Secretary Scott Besant.
4:26He's been giving interviews saying, we need an international coalition to protect ships in the
4:33Strait of Hermoz. America doesn't have the capabilities to do it alone.
4:37Well, as we wrote on the Midas Touch Network, guess the America alone strategy isn't
4:42working out too well right now.
4:45Should also be noted, Donald Trump is panicking right now, as Gulf states, with all
4:50of this going on, are having very serious discussions about engaging in new regional security
4:57arrangements, not with the United States, but with Iran, as they do not believe that
5:03the U .S. is able to protect them anymore and that this U .S.-Israeli war
5:09has brought instability to the region.
5:11and that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's doing.
5:14Reuters reporting that, yes, U .S.
5:16ignites this Iran war, but the Gulf Arab states pay the price.
5:21We know they've been doing all of these quid pro quo deals with Donald Trump,
5:26believing that they would get protection if they put money into this Trump company or
5:31that Trump company or Trump's ridiculous board of peace thing that he was doing.
5:36But actually, Donald Trump has demonstrated that even with the most powerful military ever, an
5:43unprepared kind of idiotic person like Donald Trump who went into this thing without congressional
5:49authorization does not know what he's doing and exposes the limits of U .S.
5:55security guarantees. I mean, we have a reshaping of a world order taking place right
6:00now, and Donald Trump still thinks that Vladimir Putin is his friend.
6:04He's meeting with Yushikov and Dmitriyov in Miami with his special envoys as Russia is
6:11out there supporting Iran against the United States, as China is supporting Iran against the
6:17United States. Trump is praising Xi Jinping right now, as Donald Trump's praising Pakistan, Pakistan
6:23saying they stand in solidarity with Iran.
6:26I mean, you have a statement from Modi in India saying, I've had a conversation
6:30with Iranian president, Dr. Pazeshkin, to discuss the serious situation in the region, express deep
6:37concern over the escalation of tensions and the loss of civilian lives, as well as
6:41damage to civilian infrastructure. The safety and security of Indian nationals, along with the need
6:47for unhindered transit of goods and energy, remain India's top priorities, reiterated India's commitment to
6:53peace and stability and urge for dialogue and diplomacy.
6:56Seems like India having a very sympathetic view, actually, towards Iran right there.
7:02You have the Iran Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larajani saying, Trump says he's
7:08looking for a speedy victory while starting a war is easy.
7:11It cannot be won with a few tweets.
7:13We will not relent making you sorry for this grave calculation.
7:18Hashtag Trump must pay. And the Iranians have launched this social media campaign against Donald
7:24Trump, where they're calling him like the Epstein leader or the Epstein president.
7:29And they've been mocking him with these AI videos.
7:31And meanwhile, you have Caroline Levitt, Donald Trump's chief propagandist, saying that ABC's story that
7:38Iran poses a threat to the United States is absolutely false.
7:43Caroline Levitt said this ABC story should be immediately retracted.
7:47It's unverified. And she says, to be clear, there's been no such threat from Iran
7:54to our homeland ever. It never existed ever, she says.
7:59Well, that's quite an admission because weren't you saying that that was one of the
8:04pretexts for the war right here?
8:05And just so you see what's going on in the region.
8:07We've been pointing out how ships in the Strait of Hermoz have been blown up
8:12by the Iranians, how oil depots, whether it's Bahrain or UAE and Kuwait and Iraq
8:19have been targeted by the Iranians.
8:21Here's what's going on in Kuwait, just so you can see right here as these
8:25kind of residential areas where it's believed that there may be American military presence or
8:31just commercial centers are being targeted by Iran.
8:33Let's just watch this briefly.
8:35This, this is from a drone.
8:37It came in from across the sea out there, just across the sea is Iran.
8:42And look at all the debris you can see on the ground down here.
8:46This has all come out of this civilian apartment building.
8:50This is what government officials tell us, civilian apartment building, two civilians injured here, been
8:56taken away for treatment, multiple attacks on Kuwait last night, attacks on the air, Let's
9:03bring in Democratic Congress member Jimmy Gomez from California.
9:07Congressman, these things that we're seeing, it's horrible to see, but these were all things
9:13that were very foreseeable. These were things that Trump was warned about by people like
9:18you and people in Congress and by his military leaders.
9:20He was warned about this from these Arab nations that now want security guarantees from
9:26Iran, not from the United States.
9:28Trump was warned by NATO.
9:30But Donald Trump, you know, just one night, was like, you know what, Netanyahu's calling
9:35me up and saying, I guess he's going to attack Iran first.
9:38So I guess I've got to do it as well.
9:40Let's do it. No one was prepared.
9:43Our State Department wasn't prepared.
9:44The Arab nations weren't prepared.
9:46And this is the result.
9:48What do you make of it all, Congressman?
9:49I think it's a complete and total mess.
9:52Everything from his justification of why he launched this attack, why he launched this war
9:58has shifted. In the first 72 hours, it was regime change, supporting the protesters, going
10:04to knock out nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities, even though his own intelligence shows that
10:11ballistic missiles weren't going to be able to reach the United States until 2035, and
10:15that Iran was not actively pursuing nuclear weapons.
10:18Then he said it was about retribution.
10:20Then it said it was because they needed to retaliate against Iran before they hit
10:26us because Israel hit us, hit them first.
10:29All of it is just out of control.
10:33And the reason why this is a big deal, because if you don't have a
10:35clear mission, then what, how do you know that your strategy and your tactics are
10:39going to change? the goal that you set out.
10:41And if you're completely lying to the American public, then how are you going to
10:44be able to rally them to support any conflict that might be necessary in the
10:50future that is more a defensive war?
10:53This is a war of choice.
10:54He's lied to the American people.
10:56There's no exit strategy. And then he's downplayed the risk.
11:00We knew from the very beginning that people could die or women in the universe
11:04can die, but also hundreds more could be injured, sustained brain injuries and have life
11:11altering incidences where they ended up being crippled or ended up being damaged so that
11:20they couldn't live their lives normally in the future.
11:23So this is a complete and utter mess.
11:26And, you know, Congressman, we're used to seeing propaganda, you know, come out of the
11:32White House and there's varying degrees, you know, of it.
11:35But like what we're seeing now, this propaganda is also like so cartoonishly bad and
11:43evil at the same time that like the lies are so easily exposed.
11:49And I just feel like it just makes America internationally just look so much weaker
11:53right now. Oh, absolutely. One of the things that is you can't build a coalition
11:58of the willing when everybody thinks that you're lying about what you're trying to achieve
12:02and how you can actually get it done.
12:04You can't bullshit your way out of a war.
12:09It is something that occurs in real time.
12:12And then the consequences of that war is something that everybody feels.
12:17Everything from high gas prices, the shutting down of the Strait of Hormuz, the fact
12:22that they're using ballistic missile interceptors to basically shoot down these missiles, then all of
12:29a sudden you don't have those weapons for other areas of the globe.
12:35So you can't bullshit your way out of it.
12:37It actually is, it's comical, but at the same time deadly.
12:41We've lost seven individuals currently, more than 150 have injuries.
12:48And people just don't trust this administration to follow through and that they're giving it
12:53to them straight, not only our allies, but also our adversaries.
12:57Right. And when you watch Donald Trump's speech in Kentucky and he struggles to put
13:03together sentences and he says, we won the war and that there's no danger in
13:09the Strait of Hormuz and that this is great.
13:12You know, look, that still may play to 30 % of the population here.
13:17And Donald Trump has Fox, which basically functions as a state regime media here.
13:22Lots of other corporate networks have, you know, been kind of co -opted by Trump
13:28and MAGA, but like internationally, this is playing not just bad, but like atrocious.
13:35And everybody's looking at his speeches and just the way he's talking and the way
13:41Hegseth talks. We're going to rain down terror and death and lethality.
13:45And people are, whether it's the NATO, Asian nations, Arab nations, they're looking at this
13:51and saying, this ain't it.
13:53I don't know what the hell this is.
13:54This stuff's demented. We've been used to it, Congress.
13:58We see it every day.
13:59Now in this international, they're like, this is demented stuff.
14:02Yeah, no, it's absolutely. One of the things is that they ruined the credibility of
14:07the United States. Your allies start questioning your word.
14:11They actually question your motives.
14:15They protect the pocketbooks of the Trump family.
14:19And it also puts into question, what happens if something happens in their region, in
14:26Asia, the Middle East and Europe?
14:29Is the United States going to step forward?
14:31Are you going to, or they're going to continue this kind of belligerent behavior that
14:34we've seen? Everything from talking about taking over Greenland to the stuff that's going on
14:40in the Caribbean and Latin America?
14:42That's what people are concerned of.
14:44Yes, we have the largest military on the face of the planet, but how you
14:49use it matters and undermining people's trust and the word of the United States makes
14:54everybody worse off. And it's going to be expensive, not only in money, but also
14:59in lives. And that brings us to domestic issues, because if you and I were
15:04to do this interview before February 27th, America was already suffering.
15:10You know, you're a Congress member from California, Los Angeles area, but the entire country
15:15suffering, healthcare being ripped away, prices surging, people unable to find jobs, jobs recession.
15:23I mean, there was a lot of things that were going on already.
15:26Now you add this and it is, there really, it really is unprecedented.
15:32I know sometimes that word is thrown around, but like we are truly in unprecedented,
15:38catastrophic economic times. And unlike some past great recessions or depressions, this one was fully
15:46man -made, manufactured by Donald Trump and MAGA, gift wrapped with the middle finger to
15:52the American people. Absolutely. This, this president said he was going to end all foreign
15:58wars, that he was going to put America first, that he was going to reduce
16:01the cost of living, that he was going to drain this swamp.
16:05He became this swamp, that he was going to burn out, after becoming worse.
16:07swamp. Republicans are the swamp in Washington, D .C., backed up by billionaire backers and
16:13the establishment now. And they basically said to the American people, we don't care how
16:18much we spend on the Middle East war, and we don't care how much you
16:21have to pay for it.
16:22We're going to keep going because it's in their interest.
16:25It's in the Donald Trump interest to continue.
16:29And that's what's insulting. It's not only the fact that they're spending so much money,
16:34but it's the fact that he campaigned on it.
16:37And there's people within the Republican base are saying, what happened?
16:41It's no longer MAGA first.
16:42It's Trump family first. It's the billionaires first.
16:46It's the status quo that gives him more and more power, more and more money.
16:50That's what's first, but not working class people in this country.
16:53You know, Congressman, one of the things that you're also focused on, on a bipartisan
16:58basis as well, is the Congressional Dads Caucus, which I also just think is a
17:03very important initiative as well.
17:06Cause what I try to talk about on the show is just doing our best
17:10to exhibit qualities of, of, of leadership and, you know, focusing on things like family
17:16and, and, and, and everything like just being a good dad, which also means being
17:21a good mentor and setting the right example.
17:24And so much of what I see, frankly, from the Trumps and the Hegseth to
17:28me is just anathema to just being a good person.
17:31Like the policies, as we talked about catastrophic, but like, let's be decent humans to
17:37future generations. And I think one of the initiatives that deserves more attention is, is
17:42the Dads Caucus and the initiative, because it's like, let's be good fathers.
17:45So before we go, talk to us about that.
17:47Yeah. The Dads Caucus, there's about 50 members.
17:50Now we have everybody from Ruben Gallego and Andy Kim to Brad Schneider and Steven
17:55Horsford and myself, and also Rashida Tlaib and, and, and, uh, Brittany Patterson.
18:00And what we're saying is that we can't just be, uh, against something.
18:03We have to be for something.
18:04We can do it both.
18:06We're going to fight Trump every step of the way.
18:07We're going to call out his hypocrisy and his lies, but we're going to say,
18:11you know what, if we take power, this is what we're going to fight for.
18:13And one of the things we're fighting for is making life affordable, uh, making sure
18:17that people can actually buy a home, uh, raise a family, um, afford childcare.
18:23And then if their parents suffer from old age or from a stroke or something
18:29that they can actually afford to take care of them, because that's what we're dealing
18:32with. American people don't want to see billions of dollars spent on foreign wars and
18:37supporting other governments. What they want to see us is to really fight for the
18:41American people and restore confidence that the, the, the government can actually work for them.
18:47Um, and that's why we're on the 17th of March where you're hosting the first
18:51ever national summit on the caregiving crisis, because we want to say, this is what
18:56we're going to fight for.
18:58Caregiving, uh, paid family leave, affordable housing, um, housing that's affordable, all of it, because
19:04we need to do something that just said, not what we're against, but what we're
19:07for. Congressman appreciate you so much for joining us as always.
19:12If everyone knows to go back, what, four years ago, Congressman Gomez was on the
19:17Midas touch network when I don't think we even had a million subscribers.
19:20I remember, I remember doing that.
19:21I think I was still a practicing lawyer at the time and I was in
19:23my office doing that interview, but anyway, thanks so much for joining us.
19:26No, thank you for having me and everybody hit subscribe.
