0:36Hour number two. Clay Travis, Buck Sexton Show.

0:39Reminder, as we have been talking about.

0:42Today is primary day in the great state of Texas.

0:46Also in Arkansas and in North Carolina.

0:50The very first primaries for the 2026 election cycle.

0:54Why does that matter? Well, all of you should go vote and make sure that

0:59you get the best possible nominees across every state.

1:03But certainly in those three states in particular where the voting is going on right

1:07now. We will have results to talk about tomorrow.

1:10You just heard from Congressman Wesley Hunt.

1:12One of the three primary contenders running alongside of Ken Paxton and John Cornyn for

1:18the Republican nomination in the state of Texas.

1:22On the Democrat side, Jasmine Crockett, James Tallarico, one of those likely to win.

1:28We may have runoffs in May.

1:29If nobody gets to 50 percent, we are going to continue to track that story

1:34during the course of the day.

1:36Obviously, Iran and the fallout of what is going on there remains paramount in terms

1:42of the overall interest and attention.

1:45We should mention, by the way, that Senator Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma also going

1:50to join us in the third hour.

1:51And maybe our friend Congressman Chip Roy, who is running for the attorney general of

1:56Texas. He may give us a buzz before he's in the air right now.

2:01But before the show ends, he wanted to reach out and make his case for

2:06AG, just FYI. But, Buck, I wanted to play this.

2:10This was Trey Yankst, who is doing, let me just say, I don't know how

2:15much you're watching Fox News, but the amount of incredible coverage that Trey Yankst is

2:22giving us from inside of Israel, where you can see during his broadcast legitimately the

2:28bombs that are coming in.

2:30Tel Aviv is on a watch right now, but you'll see him reacting to as

2:37the bombs are hitting, going in and out of the bomb shelter, as many people

2:40all throughout Israel are doing.

2:42He reported a little bit earlier today, right before we came on air, that the

2:48Iranian Supreme Council was counting votes to elect a new leader when Israel struck the

2:55meeting location. Here is that report, Cut29.

2:58I'm told by a senior Israeli official that the Israelis just struck the Supreme Council

3:05gathering, where the Iranians were meeting to choose a new supreme leader.

3:10This is a significant development, and again, speaks to the Israeli intelligence about this war.

3:15They just targeted the meeting in Tehran, where what's left of the leadership was gathering

3:22to choose a new supreme leader.

3:25I don't know about you, Buck, but if I were in Iran right now, and

3:29I was told to go to a meeting that involved high -level Iranian officials, I

3:35think I might have a stomachache, or I might say, hey, maybe we could do

3:38this by phone. I can't believe that they are still showing up in person and

3:43allowing these kind of attacks to happen.

3:46I mean, it feels suicidal in nature.

3:48I mean, you're a CIA guy, but I don't think you have to be a

3:50CIA guy at this point in time in Iran to say, hey, maybe big gatherings

3:54is not necessarily something we should be doing.

3:57Well, they're in a tough spot because if you can't gather and you can't decide

4:03who's in charge, how can you be in charge, and this is increasingly going to

4:09be the problem that the Mullah -ocracy faces over there.

4:13Who is really calling the shots?

4:15If you can't secure your own airspace enough to prevent the enemy, in this case

4:20us and Israel, from blowing up essentially anyone anywhere they want at any time, are

4:27you, you know, it reminds me of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises or whatever,

4:34when he goes, do you feel in charge?

4:38And, you know, that's a chilling moment if you remember what happens there.

4:43And this gives you power over me.

4:47That is pretty much where the Iranian leadership is right now.

4:50Do they feel in charge?

4:51Because they're not. I am hopeful that there is some burgeoning resistance movement within Iran

5:02that is going to come together.

5:05But this stuff is very hard, Clay.

5:07I mean, you look at what happened with Assad in Syria.

5:09There were various uprisings against the Assad regime before the huge Syrian civil war in

5:16which hundreds of thousands of people died starting around 2012.

5:19And the thing about despotic terrorism is, tyrannical police state regimes is they're really good

5:28at being police state despotisms that stay in power that's their primary focus and they

5:34have a lot of contingency plans in place and the whole system that they have

5:39is first and foremost concerned with that not with a constitution or legitimacy or the

5:45welfare of the people or any such thing it's how do we stay in charge

5:49so when that is your maniacal focus it it takes a lot to knock a

5:56regime off that pedestal and to finally allow for there to be a different uh

6:02a different paradigm of of leadership but i'm hopeful that much i can say but

6:08we we own their skies i mean all that stuff all the oh they're gonna

6:11have russian surface -to -air missile technology and all they're gonna have no no actually

6:16we own their sky we can blow up and trump can blow up anyone anywhere

6:19he wants to in iran right now which you would think also gives you a

6:23lot of leverage i think it it seems quite clear to me that we are

6:29just going to keep killing iranian leaders until we reach a point um that somebody

6:37is workable and i'm gonna be honest with you buck i kind of feel like

6:42whoever ends up in charge of iran maybe a massad guy meaning he has been

6:49working with massad for some time that's a little extreme clay all of a sudden

6:54the next ayatollah's name is shlomo no no no i don't mean that he is

6:59jewish or from israel i mean that he has been working with israel behind the

7:05scenes providing information have you seen all the stuff by the way israel reportedly hacked

7:11the the cameras the uh the traffic lights traffic cameras yeah so that they were

7:16aware constantly of where everybody was traveling in iran i mean the degree of knowledge

7:22that they had inside of iran is incredible my point on this is i actually

7:28think we probably have a list of guys that we think we could work with

7:34in iran and i don't know how far down the list they are um but

7:39i feel like at some point israel is going to have and by the extension

7:44the united states is going to have a good relationship with one of these guys

7:48and we're basically looking for our version of delcy rodriguez who is the venezuelan leader

7:55that is in charge after maduro left that is uh going to be amenable to

8:01working for american uh american interest if that makes sense um and so um so

8:07we'll see exactly how this shakes out but i i don't see any way when

8:13we have air superiority like this to your point i don't see any way that

8:18iran is going to be capable of picking a leader who has any sort of

8:22staying power given our ability with the united states and israel to know everything that's

8:27going on in their country and be wiping people out every time they announce somebody

8:32new it's like what was the the job al -qaeda number two like that basically

8:37as soon as you got named the number two position of al -qaeda you got

8:41almost wiped out almost to the point where the press releases announcing the new guys

8:46in charge have barely gone out before they're already dead uh that is the uh

8:52that is the reality of what's going on i also think clay that there's there's

8:57something that trump didn't he hasn't necessarily given us the full details on this and

9:02maybe he won't because of concerns over sources and methods and classified information but it

9:08seems like something sparked this with him something recent and maybe it was the reports

9:17about the negotiating position of the iranians recently dealing with whitkoff where they essentially said

9:23we got enough to get a whole bunch of nukes and that's now the new

9:27reality deal with it you know we're not changing this but maybe there was something

9:32else this is cut 30 here trump is is saying that if we didn't do

9:37something we were heading toward a nuclear war a nuclear exchange play uh play 30

9:41a big big factor in this world and future factors what we're doing right now

9:46with iran if uh if we don't stop them or if we didn't stop them

9:52or if we didn't start they've been decimated but if we didn't do what we're

9:55doing right now you would have had a nuclear war and they would have taken

9:59out many countries because you know what they're sick people they're mentally ill sick people

10:04they're angry they're crazy they're sick we have whitkoff's cut actually where he talks about

10:11this i think we should play this for everybody this is cut seven where steve

10:14whitkoff as part of his negotiations with the iranians listen to what he learned from

10:19the iranian side of the table play seven in that first meeting the both the

10:23iranian negotiators said to us directly with you know no uh no shame that they

10:31controlled 460 kilograms of 60 percent and they're aware that that could make 11 nuclear

10:37bombs and that was the beginning of their negotiating uh uh stance so that's that's

10:43they were they were proud of it they were proud that they had evaded all

10:47sorts of oversight protocols to get to a place where they could deliver 11 nuclear

10:52uh bums seems like they told them we're cheating and you can't stop us and

10:58trump was like but i can i think buck that one way to describe this

11:05might be by saying they think darkness is their ally but in reality they've merely

11:11adopted the darkness and we in fact were born in it molded by it one

11:17of the all -time great lines that i've just altered a bit for people out

11:21there um but it it does come back to what i think is the ultimate

11:26question now i think we are accelerating rapidly towards a resolution under which there is

11:35a new leader of iran that the united states and israel approve of the question

11:41that will then uh exist is how stable is that new leader right how much

11:47power does he have internally and the second part of that i think will be

11:52how reliable is that relationship that the united states has with whoever that leader is

11:58and i think this is significant the reason they elevated delcy rodriguez was they didn't

12:03think the military was willing to turn entirely on the maduro regime uh and so

12:09they weren't going to be able to just pluck the maria uh menudo it's the

12:14wrong word but maria tate whatever the the the woman who uh was theoretically the

12:18democratically elected leader the military was going to oppose her and so they made a

12:23choice this is not the most ideal option but it is the best option given

12:28the circumstances who is the best option given the circumstances right now inside of iran

12:36um and how many people do we have to kill frankly there's a report that

12:40there were 88 people that were involved in that assembly of experts that was basically

12:47the conclave of former experts um that we just wiped out who even makes the

12:53decision now if we've killed 49 high -ranking people before this if we just hit

12:59an assembly of experts of 88 you got to figure that dozens of those people

13:03are dead if you look at that footage of that building it doesn't seem very

13:07likely that very many people survived certainly very few people if any would have survived

13:12and not been severely injured so who actually has authority in iran and who has

13:18the authority such that the military particularly the uh the high -ranking aspects of the

13:24military would listen to them i'm sure that's a major calculation going on which is

13:29why i came back come back to again it feels to me like israel knows

13:34and the united states knows who they can work on work with when will we

13:39get to the positions where those people we could work with are elevated um and

13:45i i don't think it's going to take that long honestly but i mean if

13:49we have complete air superiority and if we are continuing to wipe out all their

13:53leadership and every single hour they have less ability to be able to send their

13:59drones or their missiles to hit other places what does iran have left i i

14:06just don't see how this could go on that long given what's already happened just

14:11since saturday that's that's my take and look sometimes when you start off with groups

14:18or individuals that you're going to work with it doesn't end up going your way

14:23anyway so maybe having it come together i'm just saying you look at afghanistan we

14:28had the northern alliance we had although they recognized the the key leader in the

14:34northern alliance was uh uh afmad shah masoud and they killed masoud pretending to be

14:40journalist al -qaeda killed masoud right before 9 -11 i think maybe even a day

14:44or two before 9 -11 because they were concerned that he would be a threat

14:49to them afterwards we would what would be our first call go to masoud right

14:52we would want to work with him in the northern alliance so they killed him

14:55uh but then we did work with the northern alliance pretty effectively and our special

14:59forces and cia worked very well in the uh weeks after uh the 9 -11

15:05attack but we didn't win in afghanistan so there's no guarantees with any of this

15:12no doubt and uh and we'll continue to break all this down for you but

17:47Congressman Wesley Hunt is with us right now.

17:49Congressman, you are running in a very important primary in Texas for the Senate seat.

17:58We invited all the top contenders on.

18:01You are here with us now.

18:02I think for some of the audience, not our Texas audience, but it might be

18:06one of the first times that they are hearing from you.

18:10Let's just jump into it.

18:12It's election time in Texas.

18:14Well, primary time in Texas.

18:16Why are you the guy?

18:18I am the guy because I believe it is time for the next generation of

18:22leadership to step into the future and lead the great state of Texas and lead

18:26this country. I am a West Point graduate.

18:29I flew 55 Combate Air in Michigan Baghdad as an Apache helicopter pilot.

18:33I am a warfighter. Both my brother, sister, and I all went to and graduated

18:38from West Point. There's 60 years worth of military service just in my immediate family.

18:43And it is that kind of mentality that I believe we need leading us to

18:47the future, that service mentality, the idea of putting the American public first.

18:52And I got to tell you something else, too.

18:54The United States Senate is not a retirement community.

18:57It is time for the next generation to step in.

19:00And I look at John Cornyn, who has been around for 24 years.

19:04That is long enough. My part of my campaign is to run on term limits.

19:09Two terms, 12 years. That is enough.

19:11I have a seven, a five, and it's rerolled at my house.

19:13I want to get home and raise them as they get older.

19:16But first of all, I want to give the best years of my life back

19:19to my country. We live in the greatest country in the world.

19:21And what I've realized is that as a war fighter that I've literally been shot

19:25at, I've been taking a lot of hits online, taking a lot of hits on

19:28TV. But it means we are right over the target zone, and we are a

19:31threat. And I know the people of Texas are going to make sure that we

19:34finish up strong and term limit a 24 -year incumbent.

19:38You've been on with us before, Congressman.

19:41Appreciate the time. And I was watching with you this week.

19:44You talked and did an interview with Stephen A.

19:47Smith, and you went after Gavin Newsom.

19:49And I loved it over his comments, I believe he made in Atlanta, where he

19:54said, hey, I'm a 960 SAT guy.

19:57For people who did not hear what you said about Gavin Newsom, what was your

20:01reaction when you saw that clip?

20:03And, you know, basically he said, I can't read a book.

20:05I'm just like you. You know, it's the idea of benevolent white liberals are some

20:11of the most racist people I've ever seen in my life.

20:13I call that the soft bigotry of low expectations.

20:16This is literally what they think about us.

20:18You know, not only do they think that we can't read and we can't do

20:21well on our SAT, they also think that we are too stupid to have an

20:25ID to vote. That's what this whole thing is about.

20:28They think so little of people of color and black and brown people that they

20:32have to pander to us in the same way that Hillary Clinton walked around with

20:35her hot sauce, in the same way that Joe Biden said, if you don't vote

20:39for me, then you ain't black.

20:41All of their issues are put on full display.

20:44And I hate to break it to people that it's not the Republican Party that

20:47I'm a part of today.

20:47I represent a white majority district and a suburb of Houston, Texas, that President Trump

20:53would have won by 20 points.

20:55And I won by 25 points.

20:56I have the honor of running for the United States Senate, and we are trending

21:00in the top three, no matter what, when this day ends.

21:03A black man that's in his early 40s that is the great, great grandson of

21:09a man who was born on a plantation running as a conservative is being judged

21:13not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.

21:16And that is just not the Democrat Party.

21:19So that's a huge offense, huge offense to what he said, because, again, I call

21:23it the soft bigotry of low expectations.

21:25And I'm here to tell him that as a family that had three West Corners

21:29in one house, my brother earned his master's degree from Harvard Business School, earned three

21:33master's degrees from Cornell University.

21:35I'm here to tell you, we don't we don't fit that mold.

21:38We believe in excellence, not just for black people or for all Americans.

21:42I am sick of the division along racial lines from the left.

21:46We're speaking to Congressman. and wesley hunt and he is running for that open senate

21:51seat now in uh in this great state of texas and congressman or the one

21:57that's up for grabs i should say congressman uh appreciate very much you being here

22:01with us uh obviously you have a military background you've been talking about that service

22:06to the nation it's very early and so i'm not asking for you to solve

22:11the situation in iran but as somebody who has been downrange who has had the

22:16bullets flying in both directions just i wanted your thoughts on how you're viewing what's

22:22going on right now with the ongoing air campaign the trump administration deciding the red

22:27line had been crossed time to bring the fight to the malocracy in tehran this

22:34is the definition of peace through strength we now have a president who is in

22:39charge when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes when a red line is

22:44drawn and i think they got the hint last year when we bombed them and

22:47ridded their ability to have a nuclear weapon and then they never listened they continued

22:52on their path they continued on the path of funding terror they depended on their

22:55path of hurting our allies and guess what the red line is now you get

22:59pallets of missiles not pallets of cash that is the difference between this administration and

23:04barack obama and certainly joe biden who wouldn't have any idea what was going on

23:08these two strengths is this it doesn't mean that we do nothing what it means

23:13is that when it is time to posture when it is time to attack and

23:17when it's time to be strategic in the way in which we do it we

23:19must do it to keep our allies and to keep us safe my heart goes

23:23out my heart goes out and i prayed for these soldiers last night that did

23:27not make it home i prayed because i know what it feels like and i've

23:30been there but also i will tell you that's what we signed up for if

23:34we're in harm's way sometimes it does mean our lives but what i learned about

23:38what pete head said yesterday was this ignore the left this is not world war

23:42three this is a strategic move to weaken them and not allow them to harm

23:47us and harm other nations and also they crossed the red line and these are

23:51the consequences president trump has always always campaigned on and talked about not getting into

23:58more endless wars that cost us three trillion dollars our sons and daughters lives and

24:03of course 10 years he doesn't want to do that he never will but we

24:07also have to ensure that we are respected across the world when you look at

24:12your state of texas you're talking about your background i think it's a really compelling

24:15story and your service for the country but i think also your age is important

24:20here um because what we saw in 2024 is a lot of men and i

24:25know women a lot of women out there listening to but a lot of men

24:28white black asian and hispanic are just over the cultural bs that the democrat party

24:34is putting out your candidacy i think is an important marker of that but just

24:39speaking as a normal guy how often are you traveling around in texas and just

24:43meeting people who are not particularly political but the cultural issues of the democrat party

24:49men and women's sports uh the effeminate nature frankly of the party itself a lot

24:55of dudes of all backgrounds particularly younger guys are just saying yeah this is not

24:59for me i'm out yeah yeah we are we are finding out that common sense

25:03is not so common that's a great point especially young men that i have seen

25:06as i've traveled all over this state i've been over 50 stops all over texas

25:11over the course of the past few months it's been incredible to see that just

25:14all people different races religions colors and creeds that are actually coming toward the side

25:18of common sense you are exactly right we are dealing with people that cannot tell

25:22you the difference between a man and a woman it's the most ridiculous thing i've

25:26ever seen and if you can't come up with that simple reason and rationale if

25:29you don't understand the difference between a man and a woman then i don't want

25:32to hear anything about your thoughts and feelings on policy and look they talk about

25:36guys like me and toxic masculinity well i'll tell you what about toxic masculinity toxic

25:41masculinity is why this country exists you see there are brave men that stormed the

25:45beaches of normandy into a barrage of machine gun fire to ensure that the entire

25:50world doesn't speak german that's called toxic masculinity and we need more of it in

25:55this country we need men to be men we need women to be women and

25:59look i'm the kind of guy and i got two i got three babies i

26:01got two little girls and a little boy and i know how i am raising

26:04them i'm raising them in the ways of christ we know the difference between a

26:07man and a woman but we also understand that we have to respect one another

26:10and respect each other's strengths and weaknesses but also understand that there is a construct

26:14here and that construct of knowing when it's time to be a real man is

26:20exactly what the republican party stands for and quite frankly it's why president trump was

26:24re -elected you don't have to question that what you don't you don't you don't

26:28you don't have to question president trump's masculinity you don't have to question marco rubio's

26:33or jd vance's masculine masculinity these are strong men and also suzy wilde who is

26:38the chief of staff is a strong woman who i also know well at the

26:42end of the day we need to have common sense and the cultural wars the

26:46division the division along racial lines the division along gender ideology also here in texas

26:52we're dealing with the islamification of texas and understanding that this is america and by

26:58the way you can have whatever religion that you want to celebrate and you want

27:00to use in your own home but you don't get to move to a place

27:04start up your own enclave and then live under sharia law we have our own

27:08constitution and our own set of laws i am the person that's saying that's got

27:11to stop we are not going to do that because when you come to our

27:14country you must assimilate you must assimilate you must assimilate to our laws and our

27:16rules, just like we have to assimilate to another country's laws and rules when we

27:21go visit them or we go live in their country.

27:23These things are common sense.

27:25And this is what the Republican Party stands for today.

27:28This is my platform. And what I really hope is that people continue to see

27:33just how crazy the left is.

27:36And as long as they continue to behave this way, we're going to continue to

27:39win elections. Speaking of Congressman Wesley Hunt, he's running for Senate in Texas.

27:44You're just talking about the crazy left.

27:45Let's talk a little more about the crazy left.

27:47There are some Democrats who, if you were to come through this primary, you would

27:52be facing one of them.

27:54It would be either Tallarico or Crockett, from what I can gather.

27:58What do you make of it?

28:00Which matchup do you prefer?

28:02But what does it also tell the people of Texas that those are the options

28:06the Democrat Party puts forward?

28:10Well, my guess is, if I had to guess, it's looking like it's going to

28:13be Janice Tallarico, but please know that I would much rather a Jasmine Crockett.

28:17Quite frankly, I would dream of debating her here in Texas.

28:20I think that would be hilarious.

28:21You have two black people that are roughly the same age, and one has one

28:25vision of America in Texas, and I certainly have a different vision of America in

28:29Texas. One is a victim.

28:30I am a victor. I want to talk about how amazing this country is and

28:33talk about our progress. And those two are the kinds of candidates that want to

28:39take this country backwards. All they run on is race.

28:43All they run on is division.

28:44And all they run on is some of this nonsensical, non -common sense stuff that

28:49we were just talking about regarding the difference between a man and a woman and

28:52men playing in women's sports and not understanding what it means to be an American

28:57and keeping our culture intact.

29:00And so, again, I got in this race here in Texas because I wanted to

29:04give the people of Texas an option.

29:06I wanted to give them an option of somebody who was young, who believes in

29:09term limits, who is a combat veteran, who was the first person in the country

29:13to endorse President Trump this last cycle.

29:16I was one of his top surrogates when he was running in the most consequential

29:19election of our lifetime. I could win this primary, and I could win the general

29:23against Jasmine Crockett or James Tabarico without there being really any issues.

29:28I'm already outperforming both Ken and John head -to -head against either one of them

29:32because the matchup between me and them is a nightmare matchup for the Democrat Party.

29:37What do they say when someone like Wesley Hunt comes out of the Republican primary,

29:41someone who believes in this country, loves this country, is black, is a combat veteran,

29:47is a believer in Christ, most importantly?

29:49What do they say about me?

29:51How are they possibly going to attack me?

29:53And I got this race because I wanted to give the people of Texas an

29:57option. And win, lose, or draw, I am always a winner because I am a

30:01believer in Christ. But today, I really do pray and hope that the people of

30:05Texas get out, get this right.

30:07At a minimum, we term limit a 24 -year incumbent who is a Bush -era

30:12Lincoln Project Republican that's been around for way too long.

30:16It is time to move on, and it's time for the next generation of leadership

30:19to step up. And the expectation, last question for you, and we know you're busy

30:24again, everybody out there in Texas, get out and vote.

30:26Today is primary day. Is that there will be two advance from the Republican Senate

30:32race? It's going to be hard for somebody to get over 50%.

30:35Do you expect to be one of those two when the ballots are finally counted

30:39at the end of the day?

30:41Hey, sir, I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe that.

30:43Number one is going to be Ken Paxton.

30:45General Paxton is going to be, he's going to finish in first place.

30:48So this is about who finish in second.

30:49Is it going to be me or is it going to be John Cornyn?

30:52I got in this race because I actually wanted to give the people of Texas

30:55a choice between two real conservatives.

30:57And if it ends up being General Paxton, that's fine.

31:00At least we know how he votes and he is not going to vote with

31:02the unit party. That's the end of discussion.

31:04So I do believe that I'm going to finish in second place to have a

31:08runoff with Ken Paxton. We can have a healthy spirited debate, but the good thing

31:11is, is you know that you're going to have two people that have a Liberty

31:14score higher than 54 % like John Cornyn.

33:29Senator Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma.

33:33Senator, good to have you back on the program.

33:35Hey, brother. How are you doing?

33:37Pretty good. Pretty good. Um, obviously, a lot of people caught between feelings of, uh,

33:46uh, ebullience, maybe relief that a lot of very bad people in Iran have been

33:50taken off the chessboard, but there's also concern about where this goes and the next

33:55steps. Uh, you are a veteran.

33:57You understand war. What do you make of what we're seeing so far, the Trump

34:02administration decision to go in alongside Israeli forces and, and take out these targets?

34:09What are you seeing and, and how do you think this should play out?

34:12Well, first of all, let me clarify.

34:14I, I did special assignments outside of DOD now, DOW.

34:17I, I, I, I was, I never wore the uniform or the flag on my,

34:20on my, on my show.

34:22Pardon me. Pardon me. Go ahead.

34:23Sure. I've been in the same area, but two totally.

34:25The guys that, guys that signed the contract, um, was, I got to work alongside

34:30of those guys and they're phenomenal individuals.

34:33Um, so, you know, I, I think with the, uh, with where we moved today,

34:39that people that think this is another Iraq is just not understanding.

34:43That's not even close to where we're at.

34:45They think that's another Afghanistan.

34:46It's not even close to where we're at.

34:48We're not hunting for Saddam Hussein.

34:51We're not hunting for, um, you know, for Osama bin Laden.

34:55That hunt ended within an hour.

34:57What we're doing is getting rid of a regime that's been hunting us for 47

35:01years. This regime has attacked us since November of 1979, all the way up to

35:06the last attack of June, uh, of 2005.

35:11They have killed or, or injured thousands of Americans.

35:14And they have chanted death to America and declared war on us a long time

35:19ago. This is the present Trump though, is the first president out of the last

35:23seven to actually stand up and say, we're going to eliminate this threat.

35:26We're not going to allow them to continue to build their arsenal, to continue to,

35:30to attack our assets, uh, and one day possibly have the, the ability to, to

35:37attack us here on the homeland, because it wouldn't be a matter of if it'd

35:40be a matter of when, uh, this regime that's been, you know, the number one

35:44sponsor of terror around the world.

35:46And their biggest target has been us and, uh, why diplomacy president tried diplomacy.

35:53I mean, during the 12 day war, he was very clear.

35:55He came out and said, listen, we've destroyed your nuclear nuclear capability.

35:59We know where you're at.

36:00If we wanted to take you out, we would.

36:02Uh, but now we just ask that you, I mean, I'm paraphrasing this.

36:05Now we ask that you don't rebuild it.

36:06They decided to start rebuild it.

36:08And then just recently, the information that's now open source, uh, during the negotiations, uh,

36:14which some of us is already aware of this, but Wyckoff, uh, put it out

36:18publicly that they said they had enough, um, and rich uranium to make 11 nuclear

36:23bombs that, um, that made the threat even more deadly.

36:29And, and the president had his assets in the area.

36:31Um, he had worked with general, uh, Kane and secretary Hegseth to have assets available.

36:37And when the target finally presented itself, we went and eliminated the threat and continue

36:42to eliminate the threat today.

36:43So this isn't Iraq. This isn't, uh, Afghanistan.

36:47This is going after the terrorist organization that has been there for a long time

36:52and make it very clear.

36:53We're not at war with Iraq.

36:55We're not at war with the Iranian people.

36:57We want a relationship with them.

36:58This is to eliminate the threat that continued to come after us for 47 years.

37:03We're talking to Senator Markway Mullen of Oklahoma.

37:06One of the things is I'm sure you well know, uh, that politicians get criticized

37:11for, uh, is only being concerned with the next election.

37:15President Trump doesn't have a next election.

37:18It would be easy, right?

37:20Uh, it would be super easy for him to have just said, Hey, you know

37:23what? I'm going to do enough so that Iran is not an issue for the

37:27rest of my term, but I'm just going to kick the can down the road

37:31and leave it to whomever my successor is to potentially deal with it.

37:35President Trump seems to me, and I'm curious because you spend quite a bit of

37:39time with him, talk to him quite a lot to have decided that he's going

37:43to do everything in his power, whether it's build a new ballroom or get a

37:47new leader in Iran to solve issues for the next 20, 40, 60 years.

37:53Isn't that incredibly commendable and actually rare for an American president to be doing?

37:58That's right. The president says, why are we waiting?

38:00Why do we keep putting, uh, tomorrow when we can do something today?

38:05And, and that's where he's at.

38:07He's like, I'm not going to continue to deal with these problems.

38:09It's been there forever. I mean, you think about it.

38:10People question me when I said seven presidents, but think about this.

38:14You had Carter, you had Reagan, you had Bush, you had Clinton, you had Bush,

38:19you had Obama, and you had Biden.

38:22Every single one of these had an opportunity to deal with this threat, and they

38:26chose not to. Even Maduro, you had Obama, and you had Biden that could have

38:35dealt with that threat. They chose not to.

38:38The president is like, why do this?

38:41At some point, someone's got to do something with this threat, and with the Ayatollah,

38:47he did it. Yet the Democrats are upset because they can't deny that they have

38:54killed thousands and injured thousands of Americans for 47 years.

38:58They can't deny that they've declared war on us.

39:00They can't deny the fact that they sponsored the war on terror, which were their

39:04number one target. They can't deny that.

39:06The only thing they're upset about is that the president supposedly did something illegal or

39:12supposedly did something unconstitutional, but that's their go -to because they can't name specifics because

39:16these same Democrats didn't complain about Obama when he dropped 26 ,000 bombs in 2016

39:23alone and bombed six different countries.

39:27They're just upset that the president's having any type of success, and at this point,

39:31you can't reason with crazy, and that's where the Democrat Party is today.

39:34We're speaking to Senator Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma.

39:37Senator, how do you address when a constituent comes up to you?

39:44And I'm sure you're getting this, maybe not necessarily in person, but you're certainly getting

39:47emails, calls to your office, because there are some people who are three -time Trump

39:52voters. We got some calls and emails from them today who are all on board

39:58on the agenda, but they're saying Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, this stuff doesn't look like America

40:06first to me. What's your response to them?

40:10Yeah, so let me, I'll break that down for you.

40:12Let's look at Venezuela. Venezuela is American first because Venezuela was allowing drug cartels to

40:18poison our streets, kill our family members, kill our friends, and destroy our towns and

40:25our cities, because Venezuela had become the number one hub for drug exports into the

40:31United States. We tried to get them to stop.

40:33It wasn't that we were trying to run the country.

40:38We just wanted them to quit allowing the cartels to be able to use their

40:41ports to ship drugs into the United States.

40:45And that does affect us directly.

40:47It affects everybody, every one of your listeners, including you and I talking.

40:52We know somebody that's been affected by fentanyl and the drug overdoses because we lost

40:57more people last year alone to drug overdoses than we did in the entire Vietnam

41:02War for American personnel. And so that's the first one on Venezuela.

41:07Cuba has been a constant staging ground for Russia and now China.

41:14That is, it's 90 miles off the coast of Florida.

41:17It is a huge threat to us and it can create complete destabilization.

41:21We saw it during the Cuban crisis, missile crisis, and how, what happened to the

41:28United States. The president is leisure focused on our hemisphere.

41:31He's not really interested in the rest of the hemispheres unless it happens to us.

41:35He's pulled the resources or he pulled the resources to protect our hemisphere, which is

41:39why he secured the border.

41:41Securing our border is the same thing as secure in our hemisphere because the overflow

41:45coming to Cuba could be dangerous.

41:47So securing our border and Cuba in that hemisphere is important.

41:51When you start looking at Iran, let's just see what's happening right now with the

41:57shipping lanes. We've seen oil surge at the highest, quicker than it has in recent

42:02years. It jumped up an average of 11 cents.

42:06You've seen the shipping lanes that have been closed because the insurance companies won't allow

42:11shipping to go through the Suez Canal, which in the Straits and through the canal,

42:1620 % of the world's oil flows.

42:19And the destabilization that can take place because we are in a world economy.

42:23Regardless if people think we are or not, our economy is tied to the world,

42:27which is why the dollar is the number one currency around the world.

42:31And what happens in that region is very important.

42:33With Iran becoming a nuclear power, they would destabilize that entire area.

42:39And at any given time, they could threaten to shoot a nuke and they could

42:41shut down those shipping lanes and cause extreme volatility in our economy.

42:47And there's no way to get around it because their ability to reach out so

42:50far, they had missiles that could reach everyone, all of our assets.

42:54If you just want to know how important that area is, look at how many

42:56bases that we have just in that immediate region because of how important it is

43:00to the United States economy and our interests.

43:03And then our allies all the way into Europe.

43:06And they were trying to get a nuclear weapon that would fit the United States.

43:09If we didn't deal with them now, dealing with a nuclear Iran would have been

43:13a much worse issue. And it would have destabilized our economy, not for weeks, but

43:18destabilized it for years or maybe decades because we may not have had another president

43:22with a backbone that President Trump did.

43:24Remember, seven presidents passed on a problem they knew they were going to deal with

43:27at some point. All this is very serious, but I'm sure you saw the video

43:33of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth bench pressing 315.

43:38pounds yeah yeah okay so did buck so we're gonna we're gonna put you you

43:44i want to hear what you bench because i remember uh i i saw the

43:48video of you doing the the pull -ups and the uh and the and the

43:52push -ups and then i remember the crazy video where you did like a mile

43:56worth of uh lunges which is one of the most insane things i've ever seen

44:00anybody do did you see that video i think clay might have said that guy's

44:03a freak of nature or something along those lines i mean a mile of lunges

44:08is is my personal hell i i think that that's like the baton death march

44:12uh for me if you maybe do so did you do you think that 315

44:17was legit if 315 is very respectful listen anyone that can do 225 is very

44:22respectful i have a ridiculous bench um i you know i i do reps at

44:27315 uh i i but so my max is probably but i haven't maxed in

44:33a while that's my max is 405 but what do you weigh like 225 no

44:39i weigh one this morning i weighed 187 holy so how many reps are you

44:44doing on 315 i do reps of five okay 15 yeah all right so do

44:50you think our secretary of war is maybe uh rocking a little trt i'm just

44:54throwing it out there i'm just throwing out there whatever he's rocking it's working and

45:00all right i told him i called him and i said i said i called

45:04we're friends so i called him pete but all due respect secretary hex that but

45:08i said big brother i'm telling you a good job i mean the way those

45:12the way those men and women around you started getting so excited the secretary of

45:16war i mean when was the last time the secretary of war even walked into

45:18a gym like that much less throw up 315 he's pretty excited but i told

45:22him i said but listen i do reps with that he says i knew you

45:25were going to call me i do think that that getting guys in the gym

45:30to bench weight is a good idea to use free weights in general let me

45:34ask you this who is the strongest democrat like if we had a bench off

45:38right now in congress how many democrats can even do 225 now i i don't

45:48maybe jimmy panetta um there's not many right the guy who pulled the jamal bowman

45:56the fire alarm guy he's out now he was a strong dude oh he's out

45:59okay that guy that guy couldn't do 10 push -ups um i think maybe jimmy

46:04panetta there's not a senator i know that um but jimmy i think could do

46:08225 i've seen him in the gym he works out with me every now and

46:12then uh josh gunheimer i give him a hard time because i mean he may

46:16be able to shoot 25 but he's only i mean it's only like a 18

46:20inch travel um and by the way he's a really good friend of mine so

46:24i can make plenty of fun of him uh but i i don't know i

46:27mean it's not we've been kind of blessed and i mean that our our party

46:32is um you know i've elected some young people i mean i tell you who

46:35knows another person is a freak of nature is is tim sheehy i mean that

46:40guy's stout is thousand ox too he can he can throw up some serious but

46:44it is i mean it's it's fun to talk about but isn't being physically fit

46:49or at least attempting to put in the time to do it for men in

46:53particular a good message to be sending i think it's good for everybody i think

46:58it's mental more for me it's mental health right it's my morning cup of coffee

47:02i get up and go after it but it's also self -confidence like i don't

47:04have to go out there and prove myself to anybody um i don't have to

47:08go in there and try to mix words with you even though i will uh

47:11the truth is when i'm walking around i feel confident i can handle my situation

47:15that comes in and so it's it's like some things that happen around here occasionally

47:20you have protests that happens and they and people start they literally say i fear

47:24for my life i fear for my life and i think if you have a

47:27little bit of self -confidence about you and you realize that you can handle things

47:30you don't have to walk into a situation but if a situation happens you you

47:35feel confident enough to be able to handle yourself i know this is the come

47:39back to this because i bet we're gonna i should have asked you about this

47:42earlier save act we got a quick turn here but how optimistic are you of

47:46anything happening with it i think we vote on it uh in the next week

47:50or two i've been i've been expecting it to come up and i think it

47:53would already came up we didn't have this dhs issue we're dealing with uh the

47:56save act will i mean we'll get over 50 votes on it i just don't

48:01know where it's at i don't know how many votes we'll get on it but

48:04we'll get over 50 we won't hit 60 then the question is is what do

48:07you do with it um you know people talk about the talking filibuster the talking

48:11filibuster mike lee and i just we we we have had a lot of conversations

48:16and mike lee's man he's brilliant brilliant um but and the way that i understand

48:21it talking the parliamentary and uh the reason why this hasn't happened is because in

48:26the last hundred your reason why we haven't done it last hundred years is because

48:28you basically to cede the floor to the democrats when you when you do this

48:34and at any given time two o 'clock in the morning as they're doing their

48:37speeches they can call a quorum call and if a quorum's not present so the

48:41republicans have to be on the floor to answer the quorum call or they start

48:44their debate time all over again and every time they call up an amendment it's

48:48like a filibuster that has no end time like a filibuster or not a filibuster

48:53but a voter rama meaning that every senator can talk two times on any issue

48:58and they can continue to bring up the issues which you could at that time

49:02i mean completely poison the the say For instance, it doesn't have to be germane

49:08since every since it doesn't have to be germane because of the way the talking

49:12filibuster is every amendment is a 51 vote threshold.

49:15So this thing, if we get into Roe v.

49:18Wade, the whole abortion issue again, there could be some real consequential votes that take

49:24place on that because now you're only hitting 51.

49:27Senator Mullen, we got to leave it.

49:29We got to leave it there.

52:35Buck, you can well imagine when I'm just scrolling through to check news, I did

52:40not expect for one of the most devastating haymakers to be thrown by your wife

52:44in response to your assault on her Costco habit.

53:01I may have been carting, and I do mean carting like I was a longshoreman

53:14I was moving large boxes even late last night from the back of my vehicle,

54:03Yes, I drink a lot of Pellegrino, but I have nothing more to say on

54:08the matter. I got to say this, when did it become standard that you don't

54:14just get normal water? Because of people like you with all the sparkling waters and

54:20everything else, I don't remember, like two years ago or something, all of a sudden

54:27you get asked now when you're at restaurants, and it's not just me going to

54:31fancier restaurants, because this happens at not...

54:34very fancy places where they now come and instead of just giving you standard water

54:39they now give you all sorts of pellegrino and everything else has there been a

54:43surge in pellegrino drinking in general do you think yes just in my imagination no

54:49i think that's real actually yeah i know i think you were assuming you were

54:54being you were being a little supercilious but i think that what's really gone on

54:59is that that the the uh drinking habits of especially younger people have changed pretty

55:06dramatically people are drinking a lot less alcohol and for a lot of restaurants that's

55:12really where the margin is that's really where they make their money so you think

55:15they're trying to make their money now on upgrading off of regular water because that's

55:20the that's an interesting angle i will tell you i actually feel a little guilty

55:24if i don't at least get uh like i was at a dinner for um

55:30six or seven people on sunday we must have gone through i'm just going to

55:35admit this on the radio i guess eight bottles maybe 10 bottles of pellegrino and

55:41i think they charge us you know eight or ten dollars a bottle so you

55:45know you're adding let's say you're adding 80 100 bucks onto the bill for water

55:49yeah now i understand that for a lot of people you'd be saying well that's

55:52egregious that's our yeah but none of us are drinking i was with a table

55:56full of adults none of whom were drinking booze and so the restaurant really wants

56:02you there's a reason why there are wine glasses on the table when you sit

56:05down there are reasons why they always hand you a wine list when you sit

56:08down oh yeah you know i mean if you're clay you just order your natty

56:13light and they have to kind of scurry around back to be like what is

56:17this he drinks natural light beer like what is that um but for a lot

56:22of people clay they go to the wine list and that is how these places

56:27make their money so i i think that now water i just i don't want

56:30them pushing booze on me if i don't want it so i'm happy to be

56:33up charged for water and i think i'm not the only one this is happening

56:37more and more i just i it is something i think you're right i think

56:42it is that they're not consuming as much alcohol profit margins in restaurants are slim

56:46and so they're now up charging basically water and a lot of people are doing

56:51it i thought about you by the way i was uh at um at church

56:56on sunday and they did the you know the they brought around the uh the

57:01wine and the and the bread and on the on the screen it said it's

57:08gluten free i i've never seen this before if you were doing the lord's supper

57:13if you were taking it it said on the big screen there hey this is

57:17gluten free now i was thinking you must have a really bad gluten allergy if

57:21you know a shot of grape juice and a uh tiny pinprick of bread is

57:26going to break your world uh but i uh i did notice that here's another

57:30bit of news people want something positive i bought a tesla buck partly because i

57:36think elon musk had been unfairly attacked and so i've got teenage boys and i

57:42want a super safe car and we went and i did the the the they

57:48let you just kind of drive around and you can see the uh the autonomous

57:53driving of a tesla vehicle you can just legitimately go in they don't even have

57:58somebody sit with you they let you go out and you can just ride around

58:01you pick a place you type it in i'm in the future now buck this

58:06morning i took my 15 year old to school i typed in his school address

58:11it's super early in the morning because he's lifting with the lacrosse team football team

58:16they have to be there early in the morning and uh and so i just

58:20typed it in i let the car drive us to and from his school to

58:24drop him off i'm gonna make a prediction here team you can flag it i

58:29think the days of people driving cars are rapidly vanishing i think that if you

58:37have a baby right now like my assistant katie has a baby girl that she

58:42brings to the house most days i think her baby girl will not drive cars

58:48like i i think if you have a one two year old you may still

58:52teach them how to drive a car but it's going to become like riding a

58:55horse i think autonomous vehicles are going to be everywhere certainly within a generation it's

59:00the it's the biggest change in terms of day -to -day that i have seen

59:04that i'm convinced is going to happen i gotta tell you what's going to happen

59:08in my mind the shift that is coming here is that it will go from

59:12oh i don't know i'm nervous about the autonomous driving to as more and more

59:17people do it and the data sets get larger and larger it will be considered

59:23dangerous dangerous to self -drive at some point in the future or i should say

59:28more dangerous i'm not saying it's so dangerous people don't do it but but the

59:32but the conventional wisdom will be well auto drive is way safer than you know

59:37and really you should only be self -driving if you're off -roading or you're doing

59:41it for some form of sport or fun or you're tracking your car uh but

59:45just getting around on the highway because it's it's going to become a function of

59:50of zeros and ones there's going to be programs there's going to be data and

59:55the data is going to show you are way safer because you know what a

1:00:00self -driving car doesn't do it doesn't look down at its cell phone to check

1:00:04out the latest sports scores guilty yeah i mean i i i agree with you

1:00:11100 i think it's going to be transformative it's going to drive down insurance costs

1:00:15i think one way it's going to move towards autonomous is if you the data

1:00:19is going to reflect that if you are driving yourself your likelihood of being in

1:00:24an accident is much higher um i also think this is something that's very positive

1:00:29i think if you're elderly and you are listening to us right now and maybe

1:00:35you're nervous about driving after dark maybe you just get nervous because you're going to

1:00:39the grocery store and things like that and you you are 80 plus let's say

1:00:44i think it's going to allow people to continue to live in their homes for

1:00:49longer because you're going to get in your car you're going to program it in

1:00:52i also think buck drunk driving i i think drunk driving is basically going to

1:00:57vanish because you can either obviously ubers are going to exist and everything else in

1:01:02cabs and those are good choices but i think we're going to get to a

1:01:05point where you can get in your car and it will just take you home

1:01:09and you are not operating it at all you know what elon's vision is right

1:01:14that your car that you have now is going to be a car that effectively

1:01:21replaces ubers as in you're not using it that car can make you money and

1:01:28go around and take other people wherever they need to go and then when you

1:01:32need the car it comes back to you i think think about this i mean

1:01:36the increases in productivity that are going to happen as a result of this uh

1:01:40it's going to be remarkable um and i say this you got two guys here

1:01:45who i know a lot of you try to take our man cards away on

1:01:47this we see we're honest with you we don't pretend we're not like oh i

1:01:51love i like to take a sprocket out of the carburetor and get all the

1:01:56grease on my hands i don't know anything all right i don't know anything i

1:01:59get into a car if i push that if i push that pedal and it

1:02:02doesn't go vroom vroom and start going i have no idea what is happening i

1:02:05have zero i know nothing about cars i want to be you know i want

1:02:10to be in like a big comfy seat that's giving me like an like a

1:02:13uh you know a back rub basically while i can fall asleep and be taken

1:02:18anywhere i have no interest in sitting there fighting through traffic doing all this stuff

1:02:22i hate all that clay's also clay's with me on this one so i would

1:02:25rather work here's the other thing buck the charging i thought it was going to

1:02:29be complicated my charger plugs into the wall in our garage like a cell phone

1:02:37charger and by the way i'm not getting paid anything one of the most ridiculous

1:02:40things about five years of this show that buck and i have done together am

1:02:44i correct buck i don't think we've ever made a dollar in in car advertisements

1:02:48not that i'm legitimately in five years we haven't been paid a single dollar to

1:02:53tell you hey go buy this car so i'm not getting paid anything at all

1:02:57just because i inevitably people are gonna be like oh how much is elon paying

1:03:00you nothing it's amazing i feel like i'm in the future uh i'm just not

1:03:04an e -vehicle guy but my car is charging in my garage right now it's

1:03:09basically plugged in like it's a cell phone and the self -driving vehicle aspect of

1:03:14this the car by the way let me say this too cars are super expensive

1:03:18you can get i'll tell you exactly what i paid i got uh a model

1:03:23three and i got a couple of different upgrades on it it was fifty thousand

1:03:28dollars okay um and they have one percent interest for seven years so i think

1:03:37i put down five grand six grand for a brand new car that is as

1:03:42nice of a car as is out there very affordable um and i can pay

1:03:47it off over seven years for basically no interest so this is not like some

1:03:52people are gonna say oh you've got tons of money this is a rich person

1:03:55thing this is actually one of the most affordable cars on the market so this

1:03:59is also though where we have to have clay speak honestly with all of you

1:04:03because you can pick your autonomous driving style if you will and for example i

1:04:09would like gentle driving miss daisy style mode yes they call it swath i i

1:04:15i i i want nice i want no herky jerky i want to get there

1:04:20safely clay likes mad max mode which is surprising to no person who has ever

1:04:27been in a vehicle with clay travis it is the fastest mode that they offer

1:04:31mad max they actually have a sloth and i was sitting there doing the self

1:04:35-drive and i was like what are we doing go go go so uh i've

1:04:39already gone up to the mad max speed uh on the self -drive not gonna

1:04:43let the kids get there uh but for me uh it's pretty incredible so i

1:04:47don't know how many of you have teslas i i never really had spent that

1:04:50much time on it but i'm all in on autonomous vehicles i've taken the waymos

1:04:54i've done all this i'm telling you your grandkids lives they're gonna look at you

1:04:59when you talk about driving a car like you might have back in the day

1:05:03when suddenly grandma and grandpa gave up the horse and they got the new uh

1:05:08got the new car new model t was out in the road and somebody was

1:05:11saying i don't what's this horseless carriage this is ridiculous well i'm telling you the

1:05:16fact that we drove cars is going to seem crazy to your grandkids price picks
