0:08Sexton show. Much to discuss with all of you.

0:12We have, of course, the deadline of 8 Eastern time tonight for Iran.

0:18They either concede to the Trump administration demands or Trump will unleash hell.

0:27In fact, what he has said more specifically is he is going to, well, go

0:35after them in a very big way, including civilian infrastructure, things like power.

0:41So he is turning up the heat considerably for the regime to open the strait

0:47and concede to demands about the nuclear program.

0:50We will discuss that, of course, today, get into some of those details.

0:54J .D. Vance in Hungary, a place that has gotten a lot of attention in

0:59conservative circles for years now because it is a country, under the Orban government, at

1:05least, that had taken on some particularly social conservative policies in the past.

1:11We'll have some highlights of what J .D.

1:14said there. And we've also got some updates on the Artemis II program, talking about

1:20the spaceship, or we call it a shuttle, I guess, a ship.

1:24It's both, really. Yeah, either one works.

1:27It's a ship. It's not a UFO.

1:28It's a spaceship. It's a shuttle.

1:30That works. We'll talk about Artemis II, what that means, and the future of space

1:35exploration and space commercialization. But something that I just wanted to throw into the mix

1:41yesterday, Trump revealed, we didn't get to this.

1:45This is cut six. Clay, before we talk about where this is all going with

1:49Iran, I feel like the whole world, in a sense, is waiting to see what

1:53happens with this negotiation. There's a big red line that Trump has drawn here.

1:59But in advance of that, something we didn't get to yesterday, we wanted to, this

2:03is cut six. Trump said that Kim Jong -un had a very particular word that

2:08he used for Joe Biden.

2:11This is cut six. Listen to this.

2:13To protect them from North Korea, we have 45 ,000 soldiers in South Korea to

2:20protect us from Kim Jong -un, who I get along with very well, as you

2:23know. Do you notice he said very nice things about me?

2:26He used to call Joe Biden a mentally retarded person, okay?

2:30So don't tell me about your stuff.

2:33Joe Biden, he said he's a mentally retarded person.

2:36He was so nasty to Joe Biden.

2:38It was terrible. But to me, he likes Trump.

2:40And do you notice how nice things are with North Korea?

2:43It's very nice. Clay, so put aside what one thinks of Kim Jong -un saying

2:51this about Biden. I would say this, most people that I speak to and that

2:55I see weighing in on this Iran war, they really are just, their faith is

3:00in Trump to bring it across the finish line and end this thing before there's

3:05a lot of downside that we feel in this country and our allies feel, a

3:11lot more than what we've already witnessed for sure.

3:14And it's worth noting that Joe Biden was the commander in chief, at least technically,

3:18for four years. Somebody not of sound mind and completely incapable and not even intelligent

3:25particularly at all before his dementia set in.

3:29So I think this is one way of saying you can trust in Trump on

3:33this one and see how he brings this thing through.

3:37Yeah, look, first of all, I didn't think they would have the gall anyone to

3:42say, oh, we've got a 25th Amendment him now after for four years, they let

3:46Joe Biden bumble and stumble his way around and were even willing to accede to

3:51his ability to run for reelection, which is even crazier.

3:56Look, Trump is bombastic. He is often outrageous in many of his public pronouncements on

4:05social media. I thought we were past the point, Buck, of people losing their minds

4:12over Trump's social media posts, but evidently we are not.

4:16And so he threatened and has set an 8 p .m.

4:20deadline. And as part of that deadline, he is basically threatened to in the civilization

4:26of Iran with the quote.

4:28This is what I was looking for.

4:29Trump warns Iran, quote, whole civilization will die.

4:34End quote. If deadline not met.

4:36That's pretty intense. That's intense.

4:38But it's also very Trumpian.

4:39And so I look, Trump is going to, I believe, take this aggressively in in

4:50in the up to and including potentially extending this deadline.

4:53We will see. I think we are going to get some form of resolution sooner

4:58rather than later, because I think Trump has decided that he is in favor of

5:06getting the straight. If Hormuz open and believes that he can negotiate with the existing

5:10Iranian leaders, I think that's where his game plan is.

5:13And he is trying to, in the meantime, extract the maximum amount of negotiating leverage

5:20that he can. And he knows that all of the Iranians monitor.

5:24every single thing that he says on social media and that's what this story is

5:29so i just sometimes buck um am befuddled i would understand if this were still

5:352016 and trump had only been a political figure for a year and people were

5:40still trying to grapple and and and and figure out exactly what the uh what

5:45the intent of these messages is but the intent is quite clear it is that

5:50he is going to try to get maximum negotiation leverage now the argument i think

5:57you can make against this is not that trump is going to suddenly start nuclear

6:01war or something like that it's that by making all of these outlandish threats that

6:08he actually doesn't gain that much negotiating leverage or as much as he thinks he

6:15does because he's been doing it for a decade now that's to me the the

6:19counter i don't i don't see iran bending the knee right now over this i

6:27just don't see it happening that's just my prediction i could be wrong uh they've

6:31gotten at some point i think the regime feels like well what do we have

6:35left to lose uh and i think the answer is they aren't there they think

6:40that they are in a backed into a corner and do anything they can now

6:45to and they'll suffer through anything and they have already rejected yesterday a temporary ceasefire

6:52that was offered if they would just open the strait of hormuz and the iranians

6:59clay this has been in every analysis whether you're writing a grad school paper or

7:04you're in the you know most deep dark bowels of the pentagon uh strategy files

7:10everyone knows the strait of hormuz is a strategic choke point for global oil uh

7:14and and that's just that's what iran has been really holding over the world for

7:20a long time more than anything else more more even i think in some ways

7:23than the threat of a nuclear program uh because it's all we we know they

7:28can do this and we know that this is something that can start to have

7:32major economic impact so iran said no to that and now the the iranian regime

7:38to the degree that we can get insight into this uh the state of the

7:43negotiations they want a permanent ceasefire they want full sanctions relief and they are not

7:49willing to make any nuclear or other concessions so the iranians are taking a pretty

7:54hard line negotiating posture in at this point in response to where we are um

8:02you know hitting critical infrastructure if that is where trump goes with this when he

8:07said like we're gonna what is it just you know uh annihilate your civilization or

8:12something like that that can actually backfire on you a bit because they're then the

8:17people of iran start to say well hold on a second why are we all

8:21being punished they know it's not us that's a consideration that i know that trump

8:26and the team have but it's a it's a big one to to work through

8:30yeah look i mean the quote is a whole civilization will die tonight um which

8:35is so cinematic and uh and apocalyptic i read that as i will kill a

8:43lot of the iranian leaders and you should be aware that your civilization is going

8:49to cease to exist meaning the way that you run iran is going to cease

8:53to exist regardless the goal is to terrify people in iran that are still in

9:00power that if they are uh in any way um uh recalcitrant when it comes

9:07to negotiating with president trump that there will be consequences um and look what did

9:13we say buck um a couple weeks ago to me the off ramp here is

9:19the challenging part i don't think there's any doubt that we have severely curtailed and

9:24diminished iran's ability to in any way inflict harm upon anyone in the middle east

9:30or around the world i i think you would have to be a moron to

9:34argue against that so the question is to what extent is there an off -ramp

9:40here where trump can claim hey we have reached a uh resolution we've reached a

9:47cinematic conclusion in a way that he is able to declare victory and walk away

9:53to that to me that is the question of what is what is that off

9:57-ramp what what to him is a victory that he can claim the strait of

10:02hormuz being reopened obviously is a very tangible one the price of oil and gas

10:06would drop overnight probably thirty dollars um and get us back down close to where

10:12we were before this all started um so i don't know that iran to your

10:16point is willing to give that at this point so what kind of negotiating victory

10:23is out there on the table that the president can take by the way trump

10:27is very good at going out and claiming victory even when it's not necessarily a

10:34uh a transcendent victory right so i i think there are probably off -ramps that

10:40trump can take that would allow him to say we have chained our objectives now

10:45it's time to ramp down everything that's been going on in iran well what he

10:49really wants is this straight to reopen which has been made clear here by his

10:52truth social posts, and everybody can see that, and that's because of the economic impact

10:58on the global oil markets, which has an enormous possibility, at least, of affecting domestic

11:05politics here at home in an election year.

11:08Because remember, the price shock can be a little delayed from all of this, too.

11:12I know we're seeing prices rise already, but it could be, there are things like

11:17Amazon, I think, is even raising its prices on some vendors because of the increase

11:23in oil, right, for doing fulfillment for them.

11:26And products, 50 % of oil globally, something like 50%, is not used to go

11:34into vehicles and for transport.

11:36It's actually used in products.

11:37So a lot of things that you buy are petroleum -based products, and those prices

11:43over time will also rise from all of this.

11:45So this is about Iran trying to use economic pain as its leverage to get

11:53Trump to back off, and Trump just continuing to pound the Iranian military, and let's

12:00be honest, the Iranian infrastructure now, if that's what he does tonight, and say, have

12:06you had enough? Have you had enough punishment?

12:10I'm not sure that the answer to that, Clay, is going to be yes.

12:13Yeah. These people are wacko.

12:16I mean, the ones calling the shots here, I know we've said, oh, we've taken

12:20out so much of their leadership.

12:21Yeah, but even the second rung of leadership there, it's not good.

12:26Well, they're kind of in a tough spot, right, because if you are too conciliatory

12:31with the United States at this point, you might get killed in Iran, right?

12:35So we're talking about between Iraq and a hard place.

12:37If you're too aggressive with the U .S., we take you out.

12:40If you're too conciliatory with the U .S., then Iran takes you out.

12:45So you want to talk about the delicate dance that Iranian leadership that is trying

12:50to govern this country has to follow right now.

12:53That is quite difficult. I think right now, if there's an 11th -hour deal, which

12:59we are now less than eight hours away from the deadline hitting here, if there's

13:04an 11th -hour deal, Clay, I think it will be Iran has agreed to a

13:08temporary ceasefire and the opening of the strait with nuclear negotiations and other concessions to

13:13follow. And that would be what it looks.

13:16It will not be an ab...

13:18They will not do an abject surrender, but if they give Trump the Strait of

13:21Hormuz, that will be enough to avoid the end -of -their -civilization strike that is

13:28supposed to come tonight. Yeah, I would also say the Strait of Hormuz can be

13:31a trust -but -verify situation that's very easy to test.

13:36If Iran says the Strait of Hormuz is open now, we're going to allow transit,

13:40and it doesn't occur, then you have a pretty good sign that you've been lied

13:44to. There is an easy test scenario.

13:47Now, the challenge is you have to convince some of the ship owners that have

13:52loaded up their ships with oil...

13:54I mean, Buck, would you want to be on one of those ships right now?

13:57Would you want to be in the Strait of Hormuz on a completely, like, millions

14:02of barrels of oil? It would be a very, very large personal check to me

14:06to get me to go ride up one of those oil tankers.

14:08It might be a little hard to sleep if you're on the Strait of Hormuz

14:12right now. Also, being on an oil tanker that gets hit by a missile would

14:15be a really... That's a really bad place to be.

14:18No. Even if it's not, like, immediate catastrophic damage, which it could be, you wouldn't

14:24want to have that situation, that's for sure.

16:23People are in my mentions.

16:25I just jumped in on social media, Buck.

16:27I'm going to take some of your calls.

16:28We've got a bunch of different interesting calls here, but they're saying Trump is going

16:33to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran.

16:37I will wager any amount of money that anybody out there listening has that we

16:43will not drop a nuclear bomb on Iran.

16:46And I feel very, very confident about this.

16:49But if some of you have lots of money that you want to put on

16:53the line here, I think your brains are broken.

16:57If you are arguing, oh, my God, Trump is going to drop a nuclear bomb

17:01on Iran. But there's actually a lot of people out there, Buck, arguing Trump will

17:05drop a nuclear bomb on Iran.

17:07Markets, by the way, actually pretty calm.

17:10The oil market not moving very much at all.

17:14The stock market not moving very much at all.

17:17There is a sort of genuine, I think, comfort that nothing crazy is going to

17:25happen. And we will see at 8 p .m.

17:27Eastern tonight or maybe before.

17:29I will mention Todd Blanche, who is the acting attorney general, is having a press

17:35conference right now at the Department of Justice.

17:37We are monitoring that being covered live by Fox News.

17:40He is the acting attorney general replacing Pam Bondi.

17:44And we will update you if any major news comes out of that.

17:49But, Buck, we got a bunch of callers here.

17:51And I thought they had several different interesting takes here.

17:57And Taylor, I'll start with Taylor.

18:00Taylor is from Columbus, Ohio.

18:02He says he voted for President Trump three times that you are an independent, but

18:08that you are upset at both Buck and me because we are not tough enough

18:13on Trump. Taylor, you have the floor from Columbus, Ohio.

18:18Yeah. You know, I actually think you guys are way better than anybody else in

18:24conservative media because you actually will call a spade a spade, which is why I

18:29keep listening to you guys.

18:30But it just feels like every time I turn on the other guys, Fox News,

18:37it's just one big cheerleading gush fest.

18:40And I'll tell you, it's people like me who came out in droves in 2024

18:46and gave Trump and the GOP a total mandate.

18:50And you hit it on the head last segment.

18:53If the Democrats were to get a mandate like that, like what we saw Trump

18:58get in 2024, it would steamroll this country with the agenda.

19:02And I got to say, guys, Pam Bondi was an utter disaster.

19:08Chrissy Noem, total disaster. All this COVID fraud, all this Medicare fraud, Somali fraud, election

19:14fraud, it's been totally forgotten about seemingly by this administration.

19:19Now we're facing a war that if this goes off the rails with Iran, I'm

19:23telling you, people in my generation do not have a stomach for this.

19:26I'm asking you guys, because I think you're the best at what you do on

19:30this side of things. Who is holding the Trump administration accountable?

19:35Because we are the ones who gave him this mandate.

19:38And I'll tell you, there are millions of people like me who at this point

19:42are thinking of sitting this one out in the midterms.

19:46So Taylor, it's a rant thing.

19:50I want to see how someone needs to get in Trump's ear and say, hey,

19:55we gave you this mandate.

19:57You need to start delivering on these things.

19:59So here's here's what I would say, Taylor.

20:01First of all, really appreciate the call and also the words of support for the

20:05show. It means a lot to us because Clay and I, especially in the Internet

20:08ecosystem, you know, we're very fortunate, thanks to iHeart, that we're on almost 600 radio

20:14stations. But also we operate in the online space like other people do.

20:18And these days, the way to get attention and clicks in the online space on

20:21the right is to just be insane.

20:23It's to just be completely nuts, say wild stuff, no accountability, make crazy predictions, say,

20:29I will bet my career that space aliens will land tomorrow, they will rip off

20:34their humanoid faces, they will be lizards, and they will say we are actually all

20:38obeying Hillary Clinton. Like, I can say that.

20:42And that's interesting. But then tomorrow comes and I would hope that the audience would

20:46hold me to account. But that doesn't happen anymore on the right.

20:49So I'll just I'll put that out there.

20:50First and foremost, I appreciate you and others because they're choosing to listen to this

20:55show instead of some of the crap that's out there.

20:57Make those distinctions. So thank you.

20:59And I really mean this the bottom of my heart, it speaks well to your

21:02discernment and your intellect. Okay, so there's that.

21:06Beyond that, everything that you've said, I think is completely fair.

21:08You know, I'm maybe too nice sometimes about people, especially if I think they're well

21:15intentioned. I think it's a general thing in my analysis that maybe is, you know,

21:20in political commentary could be a shortcoming, quite honestly, if I feel like someone's a

21:25good person. Look, Christine Noem shot her dog.

21:27She got no, there was no quarter, no benefit for me after that thing.

21:30Okay, I didn't like that.

21:32And we had that out on the show.

21:33And everyone knows how I feel about it.

21:35And among other things, by the way, not just the dog shooting.

21:38But so with Pam Bondi, I think I go, maybe I go a little soft.

21:41Her record was not good in her first year.

21:43It just wasn't. But then again, I'm saying that, right?

21:46So that's where I would come down on.

21:47But on the most important thing, and Trump, I want to hand this to you,

21:50because I think our callers hit, like, this is what's so critical right now, because

21:55if it goes wrong, it goes wrong in the midterms.

21:57If the midterms goes wrong, the Trump agenda's over, okay?

22:00The party's over, folks. It's going to get ugly after the midterms if we lose

22:04the House, and certainly if we lose the House and the Senate.

22:06Clay, it's like Trump is the chief poker player, and he has put a whole

22:12mound of chips in the middle of the table on this Iran thing.

22:16If he wins, if he gets this done, I mean, that's amazing.

22:22So I'm not going to hit a guy, I'm not going to come after a

22:25guy for making a big gamble, a big bet, before we know what's happened.

22:30Now, would I have made the bet?

22:32No. But I'm not Donald Trump, and I'm not the commander -in -chief.

22:35Him putting all these chips on the table this way, Clay, to me, if it

22:39comes back a big win, great.

22:42If it comes back snake eyes, we will hold the administration to account as much

22:46as we can here, and, you know, God help our country, because we're going to

22:49have some tough conversations ahead when Democrats take control, because that's what I see happening.

22:54What do you think? So I have, obviously, a lot of thoughts, and fortunately we

22:59have a big show, so we can share most of them.

23:01Look, I think Trump, if you want to criticize him, has been trying to fix

23:08too many things simultaneously. There's a lot of broken things out there.

23:12I think we also live in an era where whatever Trump does, there is a

23:18concerted opposition of people that's brains are broken, that are lined up to convince you

23:24that it's the worst thing they've ever seen.

23:25Right now, we have been at war with Iran for six weeks, 13 American soldiers

23:32have died. I wish that we had lost no life at all in this event

23:39that we're currently in with Iran, but that is one of the most successful operations

23:45of war in the history of the United States.

23:48Joe Biden couldn't leave Afghanistan without 13 people dying.

23:5340 -plus people have died and been murdered in Chicago since this war started.

23:59If you had to choose whether you wanted to be an American soldier fighting in

24:05Iran or just a regular American living in some neighborhoods on the south side of

24:10Chicago, it's almost to the point, seriously, where the danger on the south side of

24:15Chicago is higher than the danger in the skies above Iran.

24:19To be fair, Clay, though, people would say, you know, if you live in Chicago,

24:22you have to live where you live, we didn't have to start an air campaign

24:26against Iran, right? So their position isn't that it's so few casualties or whether it

24:32is few or not. The position of those who are upset with Trump is it

24:35should be zero. We should not have lost a single American life in this.

24:39Well, and that goes to the argument of whether you trust Trump with the decision

24:43that he has made in Iran.

24:44I see all of these connected.

24:46I see Venezuela. I see Cuba.

24:49I see Iran connected directly.

24:53And I think Trump is seeing governments that are opposed to basic human rights and

24:58freedom that are close to toppling.

25:00And he has decided he's going to take them out while he can.

25:03Now, Venezuela seems to be going fantastically well.

25:06There's almost zero discussion about what's going on in Venezuela.

25:10Venezuela, that's a sign that things are going really well.

25:13Cuba, if we hadn't allowed Russia to deliver a couple of ships there, basically wouldn't

25:18have been able to even continue to exist as a country.

25:21We can at any point in time, I believe, decide what's going to happen in

25:25Cuba. With Iran, Trump believes, and again, you don't have to sign on to this,

25:31although I do think there's some cogency to this, that because of the power of

25:37Iran to control so much of the flow of oil and gas, that there is

25:43basically a surcharge on what oil and gas costs because of their government and the

25:49fact that they can't be relied upon.

25:52And as a result, he believes that if there is a more stable government, that

25:55we do not worry about having nuclear weapons, that things will be better for American

26:00commerce in the years ahead.

26:02To me, again, this is overreach.

26:04The easiest thing for Trump to have done was just show up, not really rock

26:09the boat very much, and as a result, there wouldn't be these risks that he's

26:14taking. And this, I think, is the number one way to really sum it up.

26:18I think Trump sees what happened with North Korea, and I think Bill Clinton regrets

26:23the way that he handled North Korea, and Trump wants to solve the problem of

26:28Iran potentially having nuclear weapons.

26:30If we could go back in time, I bet if we got Bill Clinton on

26:34this program, and other than sexual relations with Monica in the White House, right, of

26:39the decisions that Bill Clinton made that were directly related to American foreign policy, I

26:45bet, I went back and read all about this, Buck, I bet he wishes that

26:49Jimmy Carter hadn't parachuted into North Korea, for those of you who forgot how this

26:54all went, that Trump, I mean, Clinton was all prepared to attack North Korea and

26:59try to wipe out their nuclear ambitions, and then Jimmy Carter said, I'm going to

27:03go meet with the North Koreans, and I'll get us a deal.

27:07And he did that, and he went in, and the deal was that North Korea

27:11was never going to have nuclear weapons, and, Buck, what did they do?

27:14They got nuclear weapons. It is both imminently rational for North Korea and for Iran

27:19to want nuclear weapons because it guarantees the government will be in power forever and

27:24imminently rational for countries like ours to want Iran to not join North Korea and

27:30to keep them from ever having nuclear weapons.

27:32Trump could have punted on this whole thing, Buck.

27:34He could have just said, hey, I'm out in 29.

27:38We'll let the rest of the world deal with whether Iran has nuclear weapons in

27:43the future. I think Trump is genuinely trying to fix things for generations that he's

27:49not going to live to see.

27:50And that is a substantial overreach and ambition and intent.

27:53And if it doesn't pan out to your point, he's put a lot of chips

27:57in the table. And some people are going to say he should have just left

28:00Iran alone. North Korea's got nuclear weapons.

28:03What do we care? What do we care if Iran gets nuclear weapons?

28:06I think there are some people who would say that.

28:08I just feel like there are a lot of people who are declaring this amazing

28:12or awful when they don't know the score.

28:17We don't know. And so how can you be in a position that that's just

28:22people looking for a way to justify their own view of Mideast policy?

28:28Their own view of Trump?

28:30There is still a possibility here of I think a high.

28:34I think it's a probability better than 50 50.

28:36I wouldn't say it's a sure thing that Trump manages to completely change the trajectory

28:41of the Middle East and put an end to the the Middle East can never

28:46be stable. It's just like a perpetual warfare.

28:49Jihadist blow themselves up. Crazy, crazy zone.

28:52OK, there's a possibility that he changes that trajectory in a way that is a

28:58once in a once in a lifetime opportunity.

29:01There's also a possibility that this thing continues to be a little bit of a

29:05mess and maybe he does more damage to Iran.

29:10Maybe he lands some U .S.

29:11troops on the shores of Hormuz because they won't open Hormuz.

29:15Maybe we take some more losses and things get uglier and worse.

29:18And he gets absolutely shellacked in the midterms for this.

29:21And then we will know that it was not a good gamble.

29:25Right. Yes. We don't know yet.

29:28And I'm just trying to be honest with you about this.

29:30There's some people that want us to say it's amazing.

29:32Some people want us to say it's terrible.

29:34We talk about what has happened and what we think is happening.

29:39But tomorrow is going to be very different from today in terms of the scoreboard

29:43for Iran. I know. I'm sorry that it's a war and it's not a game.

29:46But in terms of the the wisdom or lack thereof of this entire operation, we'll

29:52see what happens with this red line tonight.

29:54But because this is serious stuff, I don't think it's I don't think it's intellectually

29:58honest to just get dug into one side and either take out the pom poms

30:03or take out the sledgehammer and pretend like that's being fair to the situation.

30:08I do have faith, Clay, still that Trump will pull this thing out.

30:11If he doesn't, we will say that this was a blunder and it will be

30:15apparent to everyone then. But I feel like prejudging the outcome from our perspective doesn't

30:20do any. What's the point of that?

30:22I'll just give you this prediction for tonight.

30:25If Trump announces that there's a deal, the same people who said he's going to

30:30nuke Iran are going to be upset and say the deal isn't good enough.

30:35Just a prediction like what perspective of reasoned analysis could lead you to he's going

30:41to nuke Iran to if he doesn't nuke Iran and he announces a peace deal,

30:46they're going to say the peace deal isn't good enough.

30:49I can tell you exactly what their reaction is going to be.

30:51I would rather be wrong in my analysis or my assessment and have good things

30:56happen for America than the other way around.

30:58Unfortunately, not a lot of people in our business are acting like that recently because

31:03whatever happens, they're kind of rooting against Trump on this one.

31:06And I mean from the right.

31:07And to me, that's just that's something that we would never tolerate in terms of

31:13the commentary from Democrats without the harshest of rejoinders.

31:17But there are people that just want to be right about this thing, which means

31:19they hope that Trump fails.

31:21So a lot of troops die and a lot of troops die like they would

31:24celebrate if 50 American troops die in the next.

31:28If you want to hammer Trump after this thing turns into debacle.

31:31Yeah. And that's why we have elections.

31:32And yeah, then we'll know.

31:33But to make predictions and then claim that you're on the side of the angels

31:39here when your predictions are all of calamity.

31:41I don't I don't understand that protect yourself and your family in your home with

31:47as many different methods as you can, including if you have young kids or maybe

31:52you're just not very comfortable with weaponry.

33:36Eastern deadline tonight laid out by President Trump in which he said, more or less,

33:42concede to the Trump administration's demands, Iranian regime, or your civilization will be ended.

33:49On the other side of things, the other side of the world, the other side

33:52of the moon, perhaps. Artemis II, here is Trump.

33:56This is cut 8. He is greeting the Artemis II crew after they have returned

34:01from behind the far side of the moon.

34:06Hello, very special hello to Artemis II.

34:09Today you've made history and made all America really proud, incredibly proud.

34:15We have a lot of things to be proud of lately, but there's nothing like

34:19what you're doing circling around the moon for the first time in more than a

34:22half a century and breaking the all -time record for the farthest distance from planet

34:27Earth. Humans have really never seen anything quite like what you're doing.

34:33Your mission paves the way for America's return to the lunar surface very soon.

34:39We're going all out. We're doing everything we can, and it's headed up by Jared.

34:43We'll plant our flag once again, and this time we won't just leave footprints.

34:48We'll establish a permanent presence on the moon, and we'll push on to Mars.

34:55Clay, it's actually very exciting what's going on.

34:58I know there's a lot of focus on other things, but it's another small step

35:05from man and other mankind.

35:07You know what I mean.

35:08You know the quote. It's one of those.

35:10Well, yeah, look, I know we said this yesterday, and every time I mention it,

35:15people are mad at me in the mentions.

35:18I think this is an awesome story.

35:20We have now sent humans farther from Earth than ever in the history of our

35:27civilization. That seems pretty awesome to me, and I understand people out there are not

35:32excited about the idea of trying to have a moon base or trying to colonize

35:37Mars. Some of you are not excited about that.

35:39I actually think it is incredibly important.

35:42Look, this country, if you want me to get on a soapbox, was founded on

35:47the idea of frontiers, of always going to the next horizon, of always trying to

35:54create something better than what came before it.

35:57I would say that is our national DNA, and that is why this country has

36:01thrived when other countries have collapsed.

36:04And I think exploration, now we have to explore in space, but certainly you can

36:11explore at the bottom of the oceans, and you can explore at the top of

36:14the mountains. But I feel like we have a pretty good sense for what is

36:18now here on Earth. Space is the next exploration for humanity.

36:24And so I think extending what we're capable of is significant to say nothing, Buck,

36:30of the fact that many of our great technological innovations come about by trying to

36:35press the horizon forward when it comes to humanity being able to go into space.

36:42In other words, the space -age fibers which we create legitimately aid us in many

36:48other different aspects of life here.

36:49And I believe, look, this is me getting on my kind of further soapbox, that

36:55SpaceX in particular and Starlink and all these other entities that are now space -based

37:03are going to make civilization on Earth much better.

37:06So I've been following Artemis II.

37:09I think it is we had last week Jared Isaacman on.

37:13I think this is a significant achievement for mankind, and I don't see it in

37:19this era where we're talking about what's going to happen in Iran.

37:21I think it's worth pausing and saying, hey, this is kind of a big deal.

37:25This is something we should all be proud of.

37:27And I think the astronauts themselves, we played Victor Glover the other day.

37:31I actually think they've been pretty eloquent advocates for the importance of space exploration, and

37:38many of their answers to questions have gone viral as a result that are very

37:42positive. Here's Trump continuing with his chat with the Artemis II crew.

39:06I think there hasn't been a, you know, I don't know about people in lab

39:10coats who are like, turn and cough.

39:15Ever since Fauci, doctors have gone in for some rough stuff, but astronauts people like.

39:20That's a great question. I think astronauts probably number one.

39:24What are like the top two or three professions that people still hold in high

39:29esteem? Astronaut might be number one, where you just, you know, kind of, I think

39:33military and police are still very high in the general population.

39:38Cops are very, that's, cops can go very much both ways in our culture.

39:42They've come back now after being attacked for a long time.

39:45I think military typically rate very highly.

39:50This is also fun. I don't know if you've seen some on social media.

39:54I saw a funny comment.

39:56I don't remember who to attribute it to, but it was very funny that the

39:59flat earthers are like the conspiracy.

40:02They're one of the few conspiracists to actually get blown up.

40:06You know, it's hard to still be a flat earther.

40:08I think on now that we've sent astronauts again and we're getting, I think it

40:12was always hard. I said this on the show.

40:14I said, what happens to all those guys now?

40:16What, what, what becomes of the, I tell you what they're moving on to.

40:21They're saying that these are all fake.

40:23Well, this is what I, they have to.

40:24Yeah. It's, it's fake all over again.

40:26It's actually like wag the dog for Trump's Iran debacle or something like that.

40:30It has to be because you can never, the thing about getting deep into the

40:35conspiracy is that the conspiracy can never end.

40:38The whole fun of it is that you have no accountability for being wrong and

40:41you know something that no one else knows.

40:43There's always more information to prove that you're right.

40:46So the conspiracy can never be proven wrong.

40:50So this is going to go dark.

40:52Because we were, that, I would say that was a lot of light.

40:54We're trying to have a nice, nice light space conversation.

40:55I know, I know we were having, we were having a lot of light and

40:58a lot of positivity about space.

41:01I think that, and I said this the other day at a public forum and

41:06I don't know if it got picked up or not, but I think I've said

41:08it on the show before if I haven't.

41:10Some people should get bankrupted for the things that they say.

41:15And some of you out there are going to say, well, Clay, what about free

41:18speech? You can believe in free speech, but free speech does not mean that it's

41:22freedom from consequence. And some of the things that I see online, and I'll use

41:31as an example, the idea, like if you made your entire world based on the

41:36idea that, hey, flat earth is going to exist.

41:38You mentioned the idea of, hey, the world's going to come to an end tomorrow,

41:42and you get a lot of attention.

41:44People have done this for generations.

41:45They've said, hey, the world's going to end tomorrow, and then the day comes, world

41:50doesn't end, and then you get up the next day, and you, unless you're pulling

41:53a Jonestown, you get everybody to commit suicide with you, which is a super dark

41:57element of this. Have we ever talked about the reasonableness on the show?

42:01I feel like I've mentioned this years and years ago, but I don't know if

42:03you and I were teamed up yet.

42:04I don't think so. Well, aren't you curious about the group known as the Reasonablists?

42:10Yes. And this is from the TV show Parks and Rec, which was, I think,

42:15an NBC sitcom, which I've seen.

42:17I saw all the episodes of it.

42:19There are some people who say that I even look like one of the actors

42:22from the show, and I would disagree with that, but it is something that I

42:26hear. But that's a show, and there is a group that meets in the park

42:32that every year to celebrate the end of the world and the aliens coming to

42:37take everybody, and they call themselves the Reasonablists because how can you argue with people

42:43who are the Reasonablists? But every year they have to, and this is like the

42:47joke on the show, every year they have to come up with why it wasn't

42:51the end of the world.

42:53And that's true of a lot of people in the conspiracy mindset.

42:56No matter what you provide to them, it's, oh, you're in on it.

43:00Oh, there's more. Oh, that's fake.

43:02Fake, and that's true of the flat -earth fake moon landing people as well.

43:06You'll never, the fun of the game is that they just get to make it

43:10up as they go along, and they're smarter than everybody else, right?

43:12It's really more of a psychological posture than it is actually an analysis of what's

43:16real and what's not. But when you are proven objectively to be wrong, and that

43:22objectively being wrong has no consequences for you, and even worse than that, it is

43:29rewarded. Because you make more money than you otherwise would.

43:33And I'm not talking about opinion, right?

43:36You know, what should happen in Iran?

43:38that is largely opinion -based, right?

43:41Everybody can have whatever opinion they want.

43:43But there are some things that are 1 billion percent untrue.

43:49For instance, today I saw, as I'm going around social media, it is now trending

43:55that Trump is responsible for Charlie Kirk being murdered.

44:00That is a new argument that is out there that some people are going to

44:04make a lot of money arguing in favor of.

44:08And I just look around, and you and I were talking about this off -air,

44:12that I think these conspiracies on Charlie Kirk in particular have so taken root, Buck,

44:17that I'm saying this as if I was an attorney.

44:19His defense, this Tyler Robinson, I believe is his name, the charged killer of Charlie

44:27Kirk, his defense is going to come out of this Internet cesspool, and it is

44:32going to be that he was set up.

44:35And they are going to argue in front of the courts and everything else, his,

44:40I didn't do this, I was set up, it was Donald Trump, it was Israel,

44:46it was Erica Kirk, it was all these different people that clearly had nothing to

44:51do with Charlie Kirk's assassination.

44:53And there is such a feverdom in the social media space that there is going

44:58to be an actual murder defense that is rooted on these lies.

45:04And, Buck, here's what's scary to me.

45:06It might work. There might be one person.

45:09Well, all you need is one member of that jury who is a self -conspiracist.

45:14That's right. And believes this stuff.

45:16Yes. I get people, the stuff that's proliferating on the Internet on the right these

45:21days, you know, I'm going to tell you guys this.

45:23My book, and I'm sorry, Clay, Clay's been very patient with me pitching the book

45:26all the time. But, I mean, they dropped the price recently, Clay.

45:29Manufacturing delusion. No, it's a great deal.

45:30Even better. One part of the book, though, that I, in retrospect, people ask me,

45:36can this affect the right?

45:37The stuff that I talk about, which has completely overtaken the left, okay, and we

45:41would go through on it.

45:42Clay and I talk about this on a daily basis on the show.

45:45The men and women's sports things and the, you know, the climate change, which you

45:49don't really hear about very much anymore, but it's like the biggest threat in the

45:52world and all the Fauci, you know, vaccine, take it or you're going to die,

45:57madness, all these things. The left went nuts, okay?

46:00And the left made itself nuts, and that's a big thing.

46:03People ask me, Clay, they say, can the same stuff happen on the right?

46:05And the answer is, yeah, it's happening.

46:07It didn't really happen when I was writing the book, which is why it's not

46:10in there, but I might have to come back to this now and be like,

46:13hey, guys, this can be a problem on our side, too.

46:15People can manufacture delusions on the right as well.

46:19And when you're having people say that Donald Trump had one of his, and somebody

46:24who was effectively like an adopted son to him, you know what?

46:27I can't even say it on the air.

46:28I can't even say it.

46:28It's like too gross to even say, honestly.

46:30It's just so... But this is, I think it is at some point, there are

46:35no consequences. And worse than consequences, there's actually reward for insanity in media.

46:43And I think it's now the fever pitch there is going to legitimately lead to

46:50a defense in a court is going to be, he didn't do it, this was

46:54all one big conspiracy. And my concern is that one of the 12 jurors in

46:58Utah is going to be susceptible to this argument and might well buy it.

47:04Do you remember the Westboro Baptist Church?

47:06Oh, yeah. Where just the disgusting, disgusting, just slovenly, moral, cretin mess of the Westboro.

47:17And they would show up at soldiers' funerals and say the worst imaginable things.

47:20Now, do they have a First Amendment right?

47:23You know, I mean, where are they?

47:24Are they on private property?

47:26Is it a... But, you know, on the roads or something?

47:27Yeah, they have a First Amendment right.

47:29But it was such a clearly disgusting thing.

47:32People that are saying that Charlie Kirk, that people who were either his wife or

47:37his dear friends or the Trump administration had anything to do with any...

47:40It's up there with Westboro Baptist Church stuff.

47:42It is. It's that level of like, come on.

47:45That's just disgusting. So, you know, people have said, why don't we get into this?

47:49Because we don't want to get into the muck.

47:50We want to talk about what's really happening.

47:52But, I mean, Clay's telling me this is trending right now on Twitter.

47:56Guys, I don't need to say this to any of you, because you're listening to

49:41very dialed in to the maha agenda can i just first ask you because look

49:46we got a war in iran we got some big things happening haven't heard that

49:50much about what's going on from your uh side of the equation from maha world

49:57lately can you bring everyone up to speed with what has been done in 2026

50:01or what are the biggest wins so far since you've taken the helm at hhs

50:06that people need to know about well i mean last week alone we um got

50:12agreements from uh medicals from hospitals around the country to begin giving hospital patients real

50:23food instead of the terrible stuff the appalling food that they feed you in hospitals

50:28we sent out a a letter to all the hospitals saying that they could not

50:34collect medicare medicaid funding unless they started giving good food to their patients we also

50:41uh announced that a comprehensive new program on addressing microplastics in the society and the

50:49biggest accomplishments i think over the last year we're flipping the food pyramid getting real

50:56food back on the american guidelines you know the government has been lying to the

51:00american people for 60 years um with dietary guidelines that were written by food industry

51:07lobbyists to encourage us to eat ultra processed foods and highly refined carbohydrates as a

51:13result of that we now have the sickest population in the world from chronic disease

51:1877 percent of american kids cannot qualify for military service when my uncle was president

52:49petroleum -based food dyes all mine synthetic food dyes in our food we are doing

52:58a first nutritional and contaminant regulations and testing of of uh of uh uh baby

53:09formula we're changing the grass standard which is generally recognized as safe this is a

53:17loophole that that epa or fda created and was captured by the food industry so

53:25that any chemical that food companies want to put in our food they can do

53:30it without testing without even telling us what's in it we have now approximately 10

53:37000 chemicals in our food nobody even knows what they are and nobody's seen safety

53:43testing on almost any of them in europe they only have so food companies will

53:54no longer be i think um i have a long list of other things we're

54:02ending animal testing uh we've got you know we did the mfn uh negotiations uh

54:11negotiations the most favored nation status which are going to give us the cheapest we

54:16had for the last 30 years the most expensive pharmaceuticals in the world in our

54:20country we have 4 .2 percent of the population but 75 percent of pharmaceutical industry

54:27revenues and profits come from america people in europe pay a tiny fraction of what

54:34We do buy the same drug produced in the same factory in New Jersey.

54:38For example, when I took office, the list price for Ozempic in our country was

54:43$1 ,350. You could get the exact same drug in any pharmacy in London for

54:53$88. And this is a norm across.

54:57Now we are going to be paying in our country the cheapest price for every

55:04drug. And that is going to dramatically change the cost of medicine here and improve

55:09people's health. I could go on.

55:12No, this is all fantastic.

55:14Question for you. And I think this has to do with a big picture issue.

55:19And I think it's one reason you're in the administration now, which I'm sure several

55:22years ago you never would have been able to forecast.

55:25Buck and I are still very angry over what happened during COVID.

55:29It's been six years. And it seems like that has come and gone in a

55:33hurry. And a lot of people just want to turn the page and pretend it

55:36never happened. But I think it's hard for a lot of Americans to trust the

55:40government on health after what happened to us during COVID.

55:45Do you still feel that?

55:47How do you get that trust back when so many people are still angry about

55:52the lies that they were told, that we were all told, by the government back

55:56then? Yeah, I mean, the only way to regret it, and you're right, we're seeing

56:01in polls that trust for the CDC was at 70 % before COVID.

56:07And it had already gone down substantially because of the opioid crisis.

56:10So that was, you know, that was another lie that everybody, Americans first became aware

56:18that their health agencies were actually, you know, Captured.

56:24Captured and promoted, captured and promoted the mercantile ambitions of pharmaceutical companies rather than public

56:30health. But during COVID, half of America realized, okay, we're being lied to, systematically lied

56:39to by our public health agencies.

56:41And so trust has gone from 70 % to a little less than 40%.

56:46And the only way that you regain trust is by making the agencies trustworthy.

56:50And that's what we are doing.

56:52We are being honest with people the first time about what we know or we

56:59don't know. We are changing all the websites to make sure that people know, you

57:05know, that there are risks to certain medicines and certain interventions and that they have

57:12open eyes about what those risks are.

57:16And, you know, we just stop lying to people.

57:20And that is the only way over the long term that you're going to regain

57:23trust. We're speaking to HHS Secretary RFK Jr.

57:27and Mr. Secretary. I'm down here in South Florida.

57:30I think you actually were on the beach here working out not long ago.

57:34I think I saw that on the Muscle Beach here.

57:36It's a great place. Very, very health conscious.

57:38And actually, Miami is trying to become the wellness, the health and wellness capital of

57:44the world. That's now a stated thing.

57:45So I'm in the epicenter of this right now.

57:47And one thing that people talk about a ton, and I'm sure you get this,

57:51is I know peptide is just a name for a chain of amino acids.

57:55But people, GLP -1s are a peptide, which are changing health for millions of people

58:00as we know it. There's peptides like BPC -157.

58:03All this stuff is out there.

58:05It's out there in large numbers.

58:07People are taking it, using it.

58:08Some say it's great. Some say it does nothing.

58:11Can the FDA catch up with some of this to where usage is?

58:16Because the usage is everywhere down here and in a lot of other places.

58:20And the FDA is like, oh, we don't know.

58:22Good luck. Yeah, well, you know, here's what happened.

58:29There were 19 commonly used peptides, the most commonly used one, including BPC -157 and

58:38a bunch of others that you're probably familiar with.

58:40That were in a category that were put in a category where formulation pharmacies couldn't

58:52make them for individuals. They couldn't mass market them.

58:55FDA regulate products that are mass marketed for a specific indication for heart attacks or

59:07for obesity or whatever. But it doesn't regulate nutritional supplements.

59:13And it's not supposed to regulate personalized medicine by formulation pharmacies.

59:19Those pharmacies are there so that if patients have specific needs that are not fulfilled

59:29by a mass marketed drug, that the formulator can make up a special drug for

59:38that patient. And that is the category that peptides were being marketed on up until

59:47the Biden administration. The Biden administration, we believe, illegally took 19 of those most popular

59:55peptides and put them in category two, which makes it illegal to market.

1:00:02The FDA has the ability to move it to Category 2, but only if they

1:00:07find a safety signal, and they did not have a safety signal on those.

1:00:12And so now, as you pointed out, we have a gray market and a mass

1:00:18market, a gray market and a black market, where Americans are being forced to buy

1:00:24these products from, in many cases, unethical formulators.

1:00:29There are many ethical ones out there, unethical ones.

1:00:33We're getting them from unknown sources, and they're allowed to sell them for animals, for

1:00:39research purposes. They're not allowed to technically sell them for human use.

1:00:44Right, for research only. I've seen the sites, yeah.

1:00:46Right, and that's where you're getting your peptides today.

1:00:50You're getting them from one of those black market formulators.

1:00:54And what, you know, we've made the argument, and of course, there is resistance within

1:01:01EPA or FDA by some of the career people.

1:01:08We've made the argument that they should, we should move them back into a category

1:01:14where they can be studied, where they're going to be, where we know what the

1:01:19source is. They're coming from legitimate formulators who are getting them from FDA -inspected labs.

1:01:27Those labs may be in India, they may be in China or manufacturing facilities, but

1:01:33they're FDA -inspected. And we think that's the most sensible way to do it, and

1:01:38then look for a safety signal.

1:01:40And if there is one, then you move it.

1:01:42But if there is not one, then you don't move it.

1:01:45And that's the way the law is supposed to work, and we're trying to return

1:01:48it to that. Last question for you.

1:01:53on with us. We're talking about the impact of the first year and a half,

1:01:57as we come up on it, of Trump.

1:01:59What would HHS look like, in your mind, if Kamala Harris had won?

1:02:06How much different would our health systems look, and how much would the Maha movement,

1:02:13in your mind, be struggling immensely?

1:02:16Can you contextualize how much of a difference there is, just based on who ended

1:02:21up winning the election? Well, I don't think that there was any impulse to change

1:02:28things. And, you know, it's not just Maha.

1:02:33I mean, we've dramatically changed the trajectory, so that we're now focused.

1:02:37NIH is doing research on vaccines, on the etiology of all these chronic diseases.

1:02:46Where are they coming from?

1:02:47What, you know, is it high fructose corn syrup?

1:02:51We have no idea. Why?

1:02:53Because the Biden administration, nobody else ever did those studies.

1:02:56It was regulatory malpractice. Is it from the food dyes?

1:03:00Is it coming from all these other ingredients?

1:03:02What are the ingredients that are triggering chronic disease, destroying our metabolic health?

1:03:08None of that was happening.

1:03:10And now our agencies, FDA, CDC, HHS, are all laser -focused on finding out what's

1:03:23causing the epidemic and then eliminating those exposures.

1:03:28And there's other things. I mean, the corruption in the agency, the agency grew over

1:03:34the four years of the Biden administration by 38%.

1:03:38We had over 100 communications departments.

1:03:41We had over 40 procurement departments.

1:03:43We had 10 people doing every job.

1:03:46And then they stopped doing program integrity.

1:03:51So you saw South Florida, for example, where you are.

1:03:57There's an entire racket that is run by the Cuban government of durable medical equipment.

1:04:03These companies are supposedly selling wheelchairs and knee braces, but all they have is a

1:04:08list of patients. They charge Medicaid for them.

1:04:11And we found one hotel that had 129 rooms, and every one of them was

1:04:16a durable medical equipment company.

1:04:18There are two times the number of durable medical equipment companies in South Florida as

1:04:25there are McDonald's. And most of them don't sell anything.

1:04:28They're just there to steal from the federal government.

1:04:32And the Biden administration, when it came in, got rid of the program integrity department.

1:04:37So we had no capacity to catch the fraudsters.

1:04:41They cut it down from 80 people to six, all 50 states and six territories.

1:04:47And it'll... Mr. Secretary, this is all super important and super fast.

1:04:51We are running into a hard break right this second.
