0:30Canada is furious at Donald Trump and his despicable regime, and they are preparing for
0:36a possible war with the United States.
0:39That's right. Canada is not going to allow for any weakness.
0:45They are preparing for a possible United States invasion under the Trump regime.
0:50And you may say, well, that sounds outlandish, but nothing is outlandish when it comes
0:55to Donald Trump. And just think about the past four days, Donald Trump continued to
1:01say that Prime Minister Carney should be a governor, and Donald Trump continued the 51st
1:07state rhetoric. So let me talk about the tangible steps that Prime Minister Carney on
1:12behalf of Canada is taking to prepare for a possible United States invasion and to
1:18also project strength and protect Canadian sovereignty.
1:23So Canada is expanding its military presence in the Arctic.
1:27How big is this initiative?
1:30Tens of billions of dollars, somewhere between $25 and $40 billion is now going to
1:37be invested by Canada in its northern regions in order to develop very complex defense
1:46systems there and to invest in complex defense systems within Canada as well.
1:53Prime Minister Carney was speaking in one of the Canadian territories, Yellowknife, where he rolled
2:00out this $25 to $40 billion plan to improve the defense of Canada.
2:11Also, one of the things that we've seen Canada do as well is bolster its
2:18sovereignty when it comes to satellites, its push to space.
2:23Big deal here because Canada realizes, look, they can't be dependent on Elon Musk's satellites.
2:32And so Canada really needs to diversify here.
2:35So Canada will be launching hundreds of satellites as part of a national defense agenda,
2:42as the New York Times writes, since Donald Trump's trade war began last year and
2:47since Donald Trump's threats of he's threatened to invade Canada.
2:52I'm not trying to be hyperbolic here, but Donald Trump is someone who's basically created
2:59a war involving the entire world right now.
3:03He unlawfully invaded Iran. Now the entire Middle East is engulfed in a war.
3:09Donald Trump has essentially stolen away that and patriot systems that he gave to South
3:15Korea. You have Kim Jong -un in North Korea launching a massive missile test the
3:21other day. You have Donald Trump attacking Zelensky while lifting sanctions from Russia to allow
3:28Russia to flood the market with previously sanctioned oil, enriching Russia to the tune of
3:35tens of billions of dollars, while Russia is helping Iran kill American soldiers and target
3:42American interests in the Middle East.
3:45And so this is who Donald Trump is malicious, reckless, idiotic, and Canada knows it
3:52needs to prepare for this.
3:54And in terms of just the United States further attacking Canada over the past few
3:59days, I mean, Donald Trump announced with this war going on in Iran and the
4:05rest of the world. Donald Trump announced that he's expanding trade investigations into Canada.
4:12So, you know, Donald Trump's trade war against the world based on IEPA was deemed
4:18to be unconstitutional and unlawful by the Supreme Court.
4:21So then Donald Trump invoked the Trade Act of 1974, Section 122, which is also
4:29unlawful for Donald Trump to do.
4:31But that's what he did after the Supreme Court ruled against him.
4:34But you see, Section 122 has a limitation in terms of its time.
4:41It's like 150 days or so.
4:43And so Donald Trump has also invoked Section 301 of the Trade Act, which requires
4:49like findings of misconduct if you launch investigations into countries.
4:54And again, Donald Trump's completely abusing Section 122 and Section 301, but he's basically accusing
5:01Canada of engaging in all of these trade related crimes and misconduct so that Donald
5:07Trump can take serious retaliatory action against Canada.
5:11Remember last. Last week, I had the leader of Midas Canada, Charlie Angus, on the
5:17program, and he's talked about how Canadians truly believe, and rightfully so, that it would
5:24not be a surprise if Donald Trump soon decides to invade Canada.
5:28I know that concept sounds, come on, Ben, that's never going to happen.
5:32Speak to the Canadians who watch this program, and most of Canada right now is
5:37following the Midas Touch Network.
5:40We're the biggest podcast in Canada.
5:41If you speak to Canadians, they rightfully fear and feel that Donald Trump could potentially
5:46invade a cohort of Trump and Putin.
5:50Canada needs to prepare and protect itself.
5:53So let me show you also what Prime Minister Carney has been saying and doing
5:58just over the past 48 hours.
6:00He's been very busy lately, and this follows his return from a trip overseas to
6:05Australia and elsewhere, firming up the relationships there, and I previously talked about how brilliantly
6:11Prime Minister Carney is serving as basically this broker between Trans -Pacific Partnerships and Trans
6:18-Electic Partnerships, forging these bonds between Europe and Asia as Donald Trump betrays everyone.
6:26And Prime Minister Carney, you know, one of the most prominent, knowledgeable, well -liked central
6:34bankers, right? He led the Bank of Canada, led the Bank of England through massive
6:38financial crises, is the perfect person to be dealing with probably one of the biggest
6:44global economic crises and political crises and geopolitical crises ever in the history of mankind.
6:50And he's really asserted himself as one of the leaders, if not the leader of
6:54the free world. Now, that's not any, that's not the United States at all.
6:58So Prime Minister Carney was first in Yellowknife, one of the northern territories of Canada.
7:04By the way, shout out to all the indigenous communities up there.
7:08Watch the Midas Touch Network.
7:10We hear from you a lot.
7:11And all the indigenous communities throughout Canada, we really appreciate your support.
7:15We stand in solidarity with you as always, and we see you, we hear you,
7:20and we do our best here to fight for you.
7:23Want to make that very clear as well.
7:25Here's Prime Minister Carney at Yellowknife talking about bolstering defense capabilities of Canada to become
7:33not reliant on the United States, to prepare and protect for anything, including a potential
7:40invasion by Donald Trump. Here, play this clip.
7:42And today, we are announcing a series of transformative initiatives that will help unlock the
7:48full potential of this vast region.
7:52We're moving forward with an ambitious new plan, backed by more than $40 billion of
7:59investments in Canada's North and Arctic.
8:03Investments to defend our sovereignty and to deter new threats.
8:08Investments to connect, build, and transform northern and Arctic communities.
8:15With this plan, we are taking control of our future.
8:22We will no longer rely on others to defend our Arctic security or to fuel
8:29our economy. We're taking full responsibility for defending our sovereignty.
8:35And we are unleashing a range of new economic opportunities for the over 140 ,000
8:42Nordeners who will benefit from stronger, more connected communities, more opportunities, and a higher standard
8:49of living. So then, within the same 48 -hour period after being in Yellowknife, Prime
8:57Minister Carney was in Norway, where he was with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Storr, German
9:04Chancellor Friedrich Merz. And they held a news conference regarding bolstering their security relationships with
9:14each other. And, of course, we know about Canada's.
9:17The numbers have been floated, whether it's $20 or $40 billion of investments to protect
9:23Canadians in their defense. And also, building jobs in Canada right now, as Donald Trump
9:32is out there, you know, just making a wreck of the entire global economy.
9:37So, here was Prime Minister Carney in Norway, standing next to Prime Minister Storr and
9:42German Chancellor Merz. Let's play this first clip.
9:44We are, as Canada, are taking control and responsibility for defense of our Arctic, more
9:53control and responsibility for defense of our Arctic.
9:55We will do that by very large investments, some of which we announced yesterday.
10:01And we will do that in partnership with our closest allies, very much including Norway
10:10and Germany. And then, if I may, broaden Norway to include the Nordic countries and
10:18the Baltic countries to some degree, because there's an integration of the Nordic -Baltic gate
10:23through NATO. So, we're broadening out those partnerships.
10:27That makes us stronger, as does taking more of the responsibility ourselves.
10:32And then the three of them were asked about Greenland and Donald Trump's threats to
10:37invade Greenland. and here's what they all said about that and you'll see that there's
10:43they're not mincing words here they're not you know oh donald being donald no they're
10:48like we take this seriously it's unacceptable here play this clip greenland is part of
10:54the kingdom of denmark and it's up to the people in greenland and the king
10:58in denmark to trace the future for the people in greenland and any attempt to
11:05say that the country can take land from another country is unacceptable it's not acceptable
11:11to international law and especially something which should be unheard of among allies uh and
11:18i i will just uh fully associate myself with that i've said it uh in
11:22the past and i just add this because it goes to what's happening here uh
11:27is that we are fully prepared individually and collectively to defend the arctic and the
11:33high north uh what this operation is about uh this training exercise is to further
11:40build those capabilities uh against russia against any external threat um and of course that
11:46very much includes uh denmark as one of the 14 countries that's participating it's also
11:51the case uh with uh arctic sentry within uh within nato and other frameworks so
11:56we will deal with the security threats as partners not as individuals thank you okay
12:01and then i think one of the most powerful moments of this press conference between
12:06germans germany's leader canada's leader and norway's leader is when they talk about ukraine and
12:13how it's so obvious that russia is helping iran russia's saying it out loud that
12:18they're helping iran kill americans target u .s interests um and iran uh and the
12:26middle east is just becoming essentially another stage of russians invade russia's invasion of ukraine
12:33as i said you have a world at war right now at multiple fronts and
12:40you know donald trump is continuing to attack zelinski he removed the oil sanctions on
12:47russia allowing russia to make billions of dollars which it take as its economy was
12:52getting crushed and all of the g7 did not support donald trump doing that the
12:57six of the seven said were do not lift the sanctions against russia then donald
13:02trump on his own lifted the sanctions against russia and all of the g7 was
13:06like dude you just betrayed ukraine and you betrayed us all what the hell are
13:10you doing um but then also russia's helping iran which is resulting in uh significant
13:18harm to the u .s and helping iran outmaneuver the united states in the war
13:22so this is like horrible for us and it's horrible for the united states like
13:26what in the world are you doing donald you don't understand that the alliance is
13:30russia and china and north korea and iran like you you don't see that even
13:35when your own your former allies you know are trying to tell you you know
13:39in the g7 like what's going on i mean it's so utterly pathetic so here
13:43these three leaders of canada of norway and germany they address ukraine the need to
13:51keep sanctions on russia and the need to continue to support ukraine watch this let's
13:57play it we are entering the fifth year of a full -scale aggression from russia
14:01against ukraine and ukraine has had to live with events beyond ukraine taking attention away
14:08from this uh completely unacceptable situation they are in so the first thing is that
14:15when uh there is uh dramatic things happening elsewhere there is less attention on uh
14:22keeping pressure on russia supporting ukraine's defense the three countries standing here are consistent in
14:29supporting ukraine even if the focus may be somewhere else in fact um we have
14:34um from norway and germany i think will be will be the the major providers
14:39of support and also from canada to ukraine's ongoing efforts and it's our view and
14:45i speak for norway now and i think we share that view that there needs
14:48to be more pressure on russia to stop this um unacceptable war and uh uh
14:54from from my perspective i think that there should be no pressure on the energy
14:58side taken off russia it needs to be consistent and it needs to be felt
15:03from the russian side so that they will come to the negotiation table accept the
15:07ceasefire and accept the just and durable peace well i i fully agree with what
15:14uh prime minister stuart just said um as you all know we had a video
15:21conference with the g7 leaders on wednesday and six out of seven uh were clearly
15:30the opinion that we should not release the uh um sanctions against russia um and
15:38uh we were a little bit surprised that uh we heard this morning that the
15:43american government decided differently this is definitely not our view uh we are uh sharing
15:50the six out of seven that this should be not the case uh because russia
15:55is benefiting from that and uh we are seeing this into the right different direction
16:02we should put more pressure on russia to bring this terrible war to an end
16:07as soon as possible and that's the reason why we are having a different view
16:12on this decision which was obviously taken in dc last night yes i'll just uh
16:20reinforce that uh entirely agree uh canada's position is to maintain sanctions on on russia
16:26maintain sanctions including on the shadow fleet which is moving uh this oil um you
16:33know there has been very tight cooperation between russia and iran uh at great cost
16:39uh to the people of ukraine and a great threat uh to peace and security
16:44in europe um and this group under the leadership of uh the two gentlemen to
16:50my right uh and a broader coalition coalition of the willing has stood up to
16:55that uh stood up to that in providing uh the framework for security guarantees uh
17:00stood up to that in terms of providing support and training uh and materiel to
17:06ukraine uh all of us have contributed considerably uh to the defense of ukraine stood
17:14up to it in terms of sanctions which we stand by uh and will continue
17:19to do so there you have it folks let me know what you think about
